*Danshoku Dieno fails in V1. Daisuke Sasaki becomes the 68th KO-D Openweight Champion!

The world of DDT is back under DAMNATION once more. Daisuke Sasaki defeated Danshoku Dieno to become the KO-D Openweight Champion for the second time in his career. The two were ready to make the main event a memorable one. Sasaki entered on a king’s throne to mark the King Of DDT tournament win that brought him to this point. He had the rest of the present DAMNATION members accompanying him. Dieno on the other hand continued the dark atmosphere by making The Compliance dress up as druids and carry a casket down the entrance ramp. Inside the casket was a framed goofy photo of Sasaki. For over 30 minutes Dieno and Sasaki fought their hardest. When Dieno promoted the match as being far beyond Sasaki’s expectations he wasn’t joking. Dieno went as far as stripping entirely naked when he had Sasaki trapped in a Triangle Choke! Dieno continued to wrestle naked while placing his loose tights over his private parts. He hit a Naked Piledriver and went for a Naked Moonsault. Sasaki dodged the Naked Moonsault and put Dieno in the Cross Facelock. It was while Dieno was held in the move when Yukinori Matsui dressed Dieno back into his tights with a valiant effort. Dieno went back to his more normal moveset and did the Gaydo Clutch but Sasaki kicked out. Sasaki dropped Dieno with the NOW OR NEVER for a nearfall. Dieno climbed the top ropes but was stopped in his tracks when Sasaki did his own Lip Lock to the champion. Sasaki then climbed up to Dieno and hit the Avalanche Pedigree. Sasaki waited for Dieno to get back up and he performed La Mistica Cross Facelock, making Dieno tap out to end the match.

Sasaki celebrated his victory, one he says nobody saw coming. Dieno told him he never cared about who gets to be the symbol of DDT. Dieno admitted he envies Sasaki for living like a warrior. Sasaki does whatever he wants the way he wants. Dieno wanted to win as a competitor and today he couldn’t do it. Sasaki should be proud and carry that pride with the championship. Sasaki told Dieno he was dying to win the belt. He thanked Dieno for the match and thanked the audience for their support. He then asked the crowd if they love Dieno? Too bad! Sasaki then kicked Dieno and got the rest of DAMNATION to attack him. Sasaki struck Dieno with his framed picture and DAMNATION stuffed the former champion into the casket, locking it up with chains. Sasaki said today is the end of Danshoku Dieno! Does that make you sad? Good! Who’s next? Sasaki is here standing in the centre of the DDT ring. Remember, they do not conform, they do not flirt and they will not get married. Mother Nature, DDT and the pro wrestling world revolves around DAMNATION!

The show ended with “Into The Light” playing as DAMNATION was getting ready to leave. A video of Shuji Ishikawa singing along to the song was included as part of the show closing credits. In the video Ishikawa thanked Sasaki for letting him achieve his dream of singing karaoke in Sumo Hall. DAMNATION left the ring, except for Nobuhiro Shimatani who stayed sitting on top of the casket until long after the show was over. DDT later tweeted the credits video they would have used if Dieno won the main event. That video is of Muscle Sakai singing “Into The Light”.

CIMA had one particular goal in mind for his match with Konosuke Takeshita. He was here in Sumo Hall to teach Takeshita real pro wrestling. Throughout the match CIMA targeted Takeshita’s left knee with Low Dropkicks, Dragon Screws, a chair attack by the corner post and more. Takeshita began to catch up with CIMA when he hit the Blue Thunder. He picked up CIMA in a Fireman’s Carry and dropped him across the top turnbuckle and top ropes in the corner (Colt Cabana’s Chicago Skyline). He hit the German Suplex but couldn’t hold onto the bridge because of his damaged knee. Takeshita had another chance when he gave CIMA the Chaos Theory but CIMA kicked out of the pin. Takeshita went for the Cross-Arm German Suplex but CIMA countered it with the Casadora. The counter threw Takeshita into the exposed part of the corner after the turnbuckle pad was loosened by CIMA earlier in the match. CIMA hit the Schwein and two versions of the Meteora but Takeshita kicked out. CIMA hit the Crossfire but Takeshita kicked out again. It took one more Meteora to finally get the three count on Takeshita.

CIMA didn’t want to compliment Takeshita after the match. Is he the one with the most potential in DDT? Who else is there? He knows about Sanshiro Takagi, Danshoku Dieno and Super Sasadango Machine because he is in the same age group as them. They are like classmates to him. CIMA is turning 41 years old in November but before that happens he wants to win a championship. He mentioned STRONG HEARTS defeated ALL OUT in both matches today, one of them being 3 Vs 3. CIMA watched the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles match that opened the show earlier from backstage. That’s the perfect championship for STRONG HEARTS to win! They’ll continue to bring the kind of heat DDT has never seen before and they’ll do so by winning the 6-Man Tag Titles! Both Tetsuya Koda and Hisaya Imabayashi had sour looks on their faces as they watched this from ringside. This STRONG HEARTS invasion is turning into a big headache for DDT management.

An emotional goodbye was given by Shigehiro Irie for his big farewell match from DDT. He received a video message of support from his mentor Kengo Takai before the match. Then during the entrances, Irie & Keisuke Ishii were joined by Soma Takao at the stage for a brief Team Dream Futures reunion. Takao shook Irie’s left hand and walked to the back. Irie, Ishii, HARASHIMA and Yukio Sakaguchi all tore lumps into each other for the match. Nobody was taking it easy just cause they like Irie. That wouldn’t be what he wanted. Ishii took out HARASHIMA with the High Angle Double Arm DDT while Irie set Sakaguchi up for the Beast Bomber. Knowing that the end was coming, Sakaguchi dropped his guard and yelled at Irie to hit him with all that he’s got. Irie hit the Beast Bomber and got the three count, telling Sakaguchi goodbye as he pinned him. Irie thanked all of the wrestlers and also Matsui for being the ref for the match. The original version of Irie’s “Tachimukau” entrance song played as he was joined by Mizuki Watase & Jason Kincaid for one last group photo together with Ishii also included.

MAO got to show his fucked up wrestling for a fucked up world by beating Sanshiro Takagi in the dreaded Weapon Rumble. Not everything went to plan though. The legendary Pico Pico Hammers the God Of Arakwa gifted him immediately turned out to be harmless. One by one, alternating weapons chosen by MAO and Takagi were brought into the arena. First was an office cabinet containing nothing but junk. Takagi grabbed MAO’s foot and kept banging it off the cabinet. Then there was a children’s potty wrapped in barbed wire. MAO dropped Takagi butt first onto it. Bags of 100 empty cans in total were then emptied out into the ring followed by a box of 100 unsold NωA CDs. MAO was in shock that there was still that many in stock. The mind game was taking effect on him when Chinsuke Nakamura and his homemade U.S. Title belt appeared to rescue him! MAO held Takagi for Nakamura to do the Kinshasa but Takagi got out of the way and MAO got hit instead. Kaori from The Bed Inn Girls was the next weapon and she used her feminine wiles to distract MAO until a bed was introduced to the stage. Takagi was knocked into the bed, accidentally pushing it off the stage. When it was set back up Nakamura collapsed onto the bed and Kaori decided to jump on top of him for fun. Chinsuke retreated from the stage and Kaori chased after him while the action returned to the ring. 10 plastic cases were brought down to the ring and were smashed apart by MAO and Takagi’s missed diving attacks. MAO got a vacuum cleaner and he stuffed Takagi into the vacuum’s bag. MAO then attached it to the cleaner and tried to suffocate Takagi by sucking all of the air out of it! MAO was ready to finish off Takagi when the next weapon arrived. It was MAO’s phone number displayed on the arena screen! Takagi encouraged everybody in the arena and watching at home to call the number. They can also send LINE messages too. MAO was so dismayed by this that he dropped his guard. Takagi went for the Spiccoli Driver when one final unexpected weapon came out. Andreza The Giant Panda! Andreza Headbutted Takagi so hard that the panda began to deflate! Both MAO and Takagi paused the match so Andreza could safely get backstage to recover. They even saluted the panda as it left up the ramp. MAO gave Takagi the Michinoku Driver II onto the cabinet. He placed one last plastic case on top of him and climbed the ropes. MAO won the match by hitting the Cannonball 450 through the case, crushing Takagi on top of the cabinet!

MAO couldn’t really get in the mood to celebrate because his phone wouldn’t stop ringing. MAO admitted he was intimidated by DDT growing bigger and he was afraid by how the older audiences would think of him fighting Takagi. But after today he realises why Takagi is so popular. Takagi told MAO to look at the mess they made in the ring. That is DDT! Look at how fucked up the panda got. That is DDT! A 21 year old running over his boss with a van? That is DDT too! They’re being broadcast live on AbemaTV but Takagi’s going to say a bunch of swear words anyway. That is DDT! Takagi can’t create such a crazy world by himself. He needs guys like MAO to show the world how stupid pro wrestling can be. MAO said whether it’s from a college student or a company president, stupid things will always be stupid. He realises his Moonlight Express team with Mike Bailey is currently stagnant but he is working hard so he can join Bailey wrestling overseas. The Moonlight Express will continue throughout 2018 and into 2019! But first, MAO has to go change his phone number. In his backstage interview, Takagi said MAO might be the next legitimate successor to DDT. He’s different from Kota Ibushi and Kenny Omega but still absolutely nuts. He described MAO as being more cryptic when the other two were crazy. DDT will always be fine when they have those kinds of people wrestling for them.

Andreza Giant Panda was all over the show. His match with Super Sasadango Machine was the massive battle it was promised to be. Sasadango was at his wit’s end figuring out how to beat his opponent. He finally came up with a grand plan. First, he dressed up as a sasa dango treat because Andreza eats 120kg worth of bamboo everyday. Sasadango weighs exactly 120kg so by dressing up like food he can lure the panda into a bear trap set up at the end of the entrance ramp. That plan fell apart when Andreza’s master Samson Miyamoto accidentally stepped into the trap while he tried to calm down the panda. Miyamoto was then easily able to free himself. Good thing Sasadango also prepared a Plan B. Sasadango went to Muscle Sakai’s factory to develop a secret weapon called the Giant Sasadango Machine, an anti-Andreza panda identical in size and power. Giant Sasadango arrived in the most dramatic part of the match and collided with Andreza in the battle of the Giant Pandas. Sasadango interfered by blocking Andreza’s Lightspeed Headbutt with the bear trap, busting Andreza’s forehead open. From that moment, everything froze and “Etupirka” played over the speakers. The match resumed in slow motion as the two pandas headbutted each other. We got an inner monologue from Andreza, telling us his dream is to wrestle at WrestleMania. He knocked out both Sasadango and Giant Sasadango with the headbutts and jumped on top of them with the Andreza Press to win the match. Andreza celebrated his victory with his wife and son while Miyamoto thanked everyone for supporting New Nemuro Pro Wrestling today. Backstage, Sasadango believes it is inevitable that Andreza will appear on NXT because he knows Vince McMahon, Triple H and A-Train have access to both AbemaTV and Samurai! TV.

Both teams in the match between the Crazy Couples had different displays of affection on show. Makoto Oishi & Misaki Ohata both wore armbands that formed a heart pattern when they were placed together. Joey Ryan & Laura James meanwhile were seen making out all over Sumo Hall before the show began. There was a lot of anatomy grabbing in the match itself. Ryan gave Ohata the Boob Plex. Both Ryan and James used their genitals to throw Oishi around the ring. Ohata turned the tables when she used her boobs to flip James onto her back. She then overpowered Ryan’s dong and gave him the Sky Blue Suplex. Oishi added a Jackknife to Ohata’s bridge so both of them could pin Ryan at the same time. Oishi said after the match that he and Ohata are now the craziest couple in wrestling. Ohata shouted him down, telling him that what they did today was disgusting. Oishi thought he was going to be punished but instead Ohata thanked him for the fun match and gave him a kiss on the cheek. Oishi was so delighted he danced his way to the back.

As mentioned earlier, STRONG HEARTS were dominant over ALL OUT with two wins from their two matches together. Akito and T-Hawk fought each other, Shunma Katsumata picked his spots to strike and Duan Yingnan wiped all of them out with a No Touch Topé. That led El Lindaman to pin Yuki Iino with the German Suplex. STRONG HEARTS continued the attack after the match by stomping on Iino. Takeshita got involved from ringside but CIMA threw him off the entrance ramp to get an early shot in.

Meiko Satomura was willing to shake Maki Itoh’s hand before the joshi tag match but Ito flipped her off in response. Cassandra Miyagi made fun of Itoh by standing on top of her at the corner and asking the crowd “Who is the most scariest in the world?” The crowd answered “Cassandra!” Saki Akai did what she could to give her team a chance but it all rested on Itoh’s performance. She countered Satomura’s Death Valley Bomb into a DDT and countered it again with a Sleeper Hold. She put Satomura in a Crab Hold but that would be the last move she would do because Cassandra stopped her with a Dropkick. From there, Satomura hit the Cartwheel Knee Drop and applied her own Crab Hold. Akai tried to break it up with kicks but Satomura would not let go. When Cassandra got rid of Akai, Satomura turned the hold into an STF and Itoh quickly gave up. Satomura encouraged Itoh to stand back up after the match. Itoh didn’t take it gracefully and she slapped Satomura before being taken away. Itoh made it clear, she wants Satomura one on one!

The Gauntlet Tag match was a sprint of teams coming and going. Speedball & Antonio Honda eliminated Mizuki Watase & Jason Kincaid. Honda claimed to hurt his knee when he tripped on the new DDT ring canvas. But it was all so he could do his Gongitsune trick to Tanomusaku Toba & Keisuke Okuda. That ended when Okuda countered the Shining Gongitsune into a Cross Armbreaker for the submission elimination. Booing 2018 were prepared for the MMA team. Michael Nakazawa covered his arm in lotion so Okuda couldn’t grip him with the Cross Armbreaker. Nakazawa then pinned Toba with a Leg Roll Clutch. Shuten-dōji made quick work when they entered the ring. KUDO hit the Diving Double Knee Drop to Tomomitsu Matsunaga and then Nakazawa for the three count. The last round of the match was the longest. KUDO & Masahiro Takanashi struggled against Kazusada Higuchi & Kota Umeda at first. The moment of opportunity came when Higuchi accidentally hit Umeda with a Lariat. KUDO got rid of Higuchi with a Backspin Kick and Takanashi pinned Umeda with the Takatonic. Backstage, Takanashi suggested he and KUDO should get a KO-D Tag Team Titles shot for winning the match. They beat their rivals the former Nuru Nuru Brothers and also their former brother Kota Umeda to win the entire match. That has to be worth something, surely.

DAMNATION’s good fortunes for the day also included the opening match of the main card. Soma Takao, Tetsuya Endo & Mad Paulie were a well oiled team against the DISASTER BOX trio of Toru Owashi, Kazuki Hirata & Yuki Ueno. Hirata’s recent miracle ability to win matches seems to have vanished. Endo kicked out of the Miracle One Shot Cradle. Hirata showed some life by kicking out of the Tetsuya In The Sky but inevitable he was pinned with the Shooting Star Press. According to DAMNATION there are no dreams when they are in the ring, only reality.

Mina Shirakawa got to show off some of her stuff for her DDT debut. She gave Yuka Sakazaki both a Romero Special and an Implant DDT. Sakazaki also took a Spin Kick from Miyu Yamashita and the Fame Asser from Yuki Kamifuku for a nearfall. Sakazaki, Mizuki & Shoko Nakajima turned the tables with dives out of the ring and also a 619/Dropkick triple spot. Kamifuku was laid out with a Double Arm DDT from Nakajima followed by a Sliding Lariat from Sakazaki. The Magical Magical Girl Splash then ended the match. Yamashita is happy with Shirakawa’s performance and is looking forward to seeing her more in Tokyo Joshi Pro. Shirakawa promises to do her best in catching up to the speed, strength and skills of the other girls when she begins wrestling there regularly from next month.

The last piece of DAMNATION domination to mention is Nobuhiro Shimatani’s win in the pre-show Battle Royal! He outlasted a number of DDT low carders and “ALL DOIN” participants to become the last man standing. Gorgeous Matsuno did what is described as the Gorgeous Superstar Cross Armbreaker but to me it looked more like an out of place Leg Drop. Whatever it was, Shimatani used Matsuno’s momentum to roll on top of him for the pin.

DDT announced a big show will be held in Ota Ward Gymnasium on 15th July, 2019. All tickets for the show will be free of charge!

The list of wrestlers competing in the 2019 D-Ou Grand Prix are HARASHIMA, Konosuke Takeshita, Daisuke Sasaki, Tetsuya Endo, Soma Takao, Akito, Kazusada Higuchi, MAO, Masahiro Takanashi, Puma King, Mike Bailey, Sammy Guevara, Shinya Aoki and Go Shiozaki.

Chigusa Nagayo was announced to be part of DDT’s return to Sumo Hall for “JUDGEMENT 2019” on 17th February.

———————————————————————–

The seven months since DDT’s last appearance in Sumo Hall has been a lot to take in. Sometimes hectic, sometimes confusing and for me sometimes exhausting. The number of events grew thanks to the launch of a brand new weekly show called “DDT LIVE! MAJI MANJI” airing live on AbemaTV. The other brands also increased their schedules with more shows in more locations. DDT’s rookie brand DNA was put to bed when the roster was considered too advanced to be a developmental. The lack of rookies ready to debut was also a reason to end the concept for now. Then there was the chaos in the main event scene. DDT’s longest and most dominant title reign ended when the company’s estranged son returned to defeat their golden boy. The new rebellious champion went on to make some unwise decisions leading to a rash of unexpected title changes, some beyond the control of those in charge of DDT and some coming directly from the people with power. With injuries putting some of DDT’s best and brightest on the shelf it was a time for new blood to step up. One in particular took things too far towards his boss. Or maybe he took it far enough and needs to go further? New invaders entered the company. One group wants to prove they are the better than DDT’s best while another gigantic figure arrived looking to kick ass and chew bamboo, and it’s all out of bamboo. There is plenty to talk about so let’s get started.

0. Time Difference Battle Royal: Gorgeous Matsuno Vs Hoshitango Vs Gota Ihashi Vs Nobuhiro Shimatani Vs Yumehito Imanari Vs Shota Vs Michael Wolf Vs Tiger Mask V (Self-Self-Proclaimed) Vs Monster Halloween Vs Gundan Hitori

Normally the Battle Royal on this kind of show will be for a big prize, like the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title. Not this time. The championship found its way into the pop idol group SKE48 back in July and has been passed around between some of the girls ever since. The current champion Yuki Arai promised to show up with the title at Korakuen Hall a week after this show so nobody is anticipating any shenanigans here. Instead the appeal is going to be from the “ALL DOIN” wrestlers. The self-proclaimed Tiger Mask V, the W*ING gimmick that came 25 years too late Monster Halloween and masked man in a fancy shirt Gundan Hitori are all representing the “ALL DOIN” super indy show that is scheduled for November. Most of the DDT regulars have developed a little since “JUDGEMENT 2018” back in March. Gorgeous Matsuno became the self-appointed gatekeeper of DDT against gigantic animals. That didn’t end well for him. Gota Ihashi has been getting into shape with the ultimate goal of earning Riki Choshu’s respect. He’s making enough progress that Choshu’s eternal rival Tatsumi Fujinami has offered to help out. Nobuhiro Shimatani finally achieved his dream of joining DAMNATION. “Nobu” has been full of confidence ever since even if it hasn’t translated into results. Yumehito Imanari has probably advanced the most out of anyone. He launched the Imanari Revolution in Ganbare☆Wrestling to push himself into Ganpro’s main event scene and he hasn’t looked back. The other Ganpro rep is Shota who joined the brand full time in May. Michael Wolf recently entered DDT all the way from Oklahoma’s Compound Pro Wrestling. The only person here who is the same as always is Hoshitango.

0. Mina Shirakawa DDT First Participation War! Tokyo Joshi Pro 6-Woman Tag Match: Miyu Yamashita, Yuki Kamifuku & Mina Shirakawa Vs Yuka Sakazaki, Mizuki & Shoko Nakajima

The spot dedicated entirely to Tokyo Joshi Pro is focusing on their newest signing. Mina Shirakawa is a gravure idol who is a massive pro wrestling fan, so much so that she began training to wrestle in April as part of a collaborated project between DDT and Best Body Japan. She had her debut match in August teaming with one of her opponents here Shoko Nakajima. In September, Shirakawa jumped at the chance to visit Mexico so she could participate in a lucha libre expo. The first thing she did when she arrived was travel to the ZEUS GYM in Naucalpan to train! So far Shirakawa has only wrestled three matches in her career, twice for Big Body Japan and once in Mexico. She has committed herself to Tokyo Joshi full time beginning this November. She has performed at a Tokyo Joshi show before though. Four years ago she was in a Brazilian themed idol duo called Oh P Samba that performed a song and dance at a Tokyo Joshi show. For now this will be her introduction to everyone in DDT.

But that’s enough about the new girl. Can’t let her overshadow the others this easily. Miyu Yamashita is currently on the most successful TOKYO Princess Title run in the championship’s history, winning the belt on 4th January and defending the title a record six times. She, Yuka Sakazaki and Shoko Nakajima also made their American debut competing in the Chikara King Of Trios tournament, making it all the way to the semi finals. Sakazaki has been most successful in tag team action, forming the Magical Sugar Rabbits with Mizuki and winning the TOKYO Tag Team Titles together. Yuki Kamifuku recently won a match for the first ever time after 14 months of wrestling. Everything will be going up from there for her.

1. KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles: Soma Takao, Tetsuya Endo & Mad Paulie (c) Vs Toru Owashi, Kazuki Hirata & Yuki Ueno

DAMNATION’s numbers increased back in May when Soma Takao betrayed what was left of Smile Squash to join the heel unit. Since then Takao has been low blowing his way to victory while saying little in between the matches. He is still quietly undefeated at “PETER PAN” with a 9-0 record. Can he make it 10 for 10 and go a full decade of (not so much) destruction? Tetsuya Endo & Mad Paulie have spent the last half year teaming together, briefly holding the KO-D Tag Team Titles. Not much has changed other than that period when Endo wanted to talk about his pet beetle. He is still a top notch wrestler when he wants to be. That was proven when he made it to the King Of DDT final again.

The team challenging for the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles are the newly relaunched DISASTER BOX. The original unit was formed by Toru Owashi as a heel unit way back in 2006. The unit played a major part in establishing HARASHIMA after he dropped the HERO! gimmick. The unit had another run in 2008 but went away at the start of this decade, with the exception of a one show reunion with original member Shogo “Jet” Takagi in 2017. HARASHIMA and Owashi decided to reform DISASTER BOX this year during the DNA draft and allowed the promising youngster Yuki Ueno to join them. Nobody else. Anyone who said otherwise was ignored. Well, at least until he couldn’t be ignored anymore.

Kazuki Hirata wanted to join in so he could continue teaming with Owashi. He was declined but a miracle run in the King Of DDT tournament convinced HARASHIMA to bring Hirata into the group. To prove he is good enough, Hirata has sometimes tried to wrestle without the aid of his musical Hirata GO! glasses. He has since gone back on that plan now he is an accepted member. When Takao, Endo & Paulie won the vacant titles, they tried to nominate the rest of their unit as the challengers. DISASTER BOX instead got the nod and the two sides have been duking it out for months, waiting for this day to come.

2. Gauntlet Tag Match: Mike Bailey & Antonio Honda Vs Mizuki Watase & Jason Kincaid Vs Kazusada Higuchi & Kota Umeda Vs KUDO & Masahiro Takanashi Vs Tanomusaku Toba & Keisuke Okuda Vs Tomomitsu Matsunaga & Michael Nakazawa

One half of the KO-D Tag Champions is already occupied on the card so Mike Bailey has to get mixed up in the Gauntlet Tag Match. Antonio Honda is by his side as they face a mixture of DDT talent. Mizuki Watase & Jason Kincaid have formed a well run team during their time in the RENEGADES unit. Kincaid was brought into DDT in mere weeks after “JUDGEMENT 2018” as RENEGADES’s gift to the company. Watase has wrestled in a snazzy suit and never really explained why. The Maji Manji show has been mostly built around Kazusada Higuchi & Kota Umeda. Higuchi made it his goal to put somebody through a table on every episode while Umeda became “Mr. Maji Manji” when he won a tournament early in the show to earn a big push by the company. Unfortunately knee injuries have constantly paused his momentum. KUDO & Masahiro Takanashi have been doing their usual thing in Shuten-dōji. Their usual thing is drinking. Tanomusaku Toba returned to DDT first take part in a few Street Wrestling matches. He then appeared on Maji Manji, wrestling to impress his step-son who refuses to call him Dad. That didn’t end up being his proudest moment but he’s gotten more DDT appearances since then, usually whenever they wanted a strike heavy match-up. Keisuke Okuda became DDT’s newest signing in September. Until then he was causing terror in DNA as part of the Naomi Kingdom. So far his biggest move was picking a fight with HARASHIMA. Tomomitsu Matsunaga & Michael Nakazawa reformed Booing 2018 for the Dramatic General Election but kicked out their longtime ally Gota Ihashi. Normally I’d say the winners of this match will go after the KO-D Tag Titles but that didn’t happen the last time.

3. Super Joshi Pro Wars 2018: Saki Akai & Maki Itoh Vs Meiko Satomura & Cassandra Miyagi

What a year it’s been for Meiko Satomura. The Sendai Girls leader has had accomplished years before but 2018 has been an international breakthrough for her. From Fight Club: PRO in England to the WWE Mae Young Classic in America to wXw in Germany, Satomura has been making waves in Europe and America this year. Back in Japan she made her mark in DDT by becoming the first ever woman to win the KO-D Openweight Title! While her reign was short it was the highlight of a turbulent time in the championship’s history. Cassandra Miyagi made two DDT appearances during this time. One as part of an adventure through a secret martial arts factory (it’s a long story) and the other challenging for the KO-D 6-Man Tag Titles. The two Sendai Girls return to DDT to face without a doubt the two most popular women in the DDT family.

Saki Akai has been motivated by Satomura’s success to become more than just the token woman on the DDT roster. This year Akai became the first woman to enter the King Of DDT tournament. Sadly she didn’t make it past the 1st Round. She also got into a situation where she was stalked by the monsters of the UWA Corps. She also returned to Tokyo Joshi for a few matches after so many fans pointed out that she looks identical to the Sakisama. Speaking of Sakisama, the aristocrat returned home to Paris in August after her personal nun became too rebellious (it’s another long story).

But all of the attention goes to Maki Itoh. All of the attention must go to Itoh! She’s been finding ways to constantly stay in the sights of the Tokyo Joshi fanbase and it’s been paying off big for her. After a big match against Riho in May, Itoh considered splitting up the Itoh Respect Army after her alliance with Mizuki hit a rough patch. Their relationship got even rockier when they ended up in opposite sides of a TOKYO Princess Tag Titles match. Itoh took the loss in both that and a singles match with Mizuki afterwards but in those matches she was able to show her growth as a wrestler. While she hasn’t been able to win big in the ring, outside it Itoh’s getting more and more popular. The big evidence for this is her current lead in the Dramatic General Election. Early on in the competition Ito moved miles past the rest of the field. Others have since gained ground but a strong performance at Sumo Hall might be what she needs to seal the deal.

Except that won’t be enough to satisfy Itoh. In a reverse of last year’s match between Satomura and Miyu Yamashita, Itoh has no respect for Satomura. Not after Satomura lost the KO-D Title after Itoh promised to win the Election and challenge her for the belt. This attitude is causing Akai to distrust Itoh. She really shouldn’t be underestimating Satomura. The rift got even worse when Akai & Itoh got into a little scuffle at the press conference for this show. If they can’t get along, they’re screwed. If they can get along… they’re still screwed.

4. ALL OUT Vs STRONG HEARTS! Special 6-Man Tag Match: Akito, Shunma Katsumata & Yuki Iino Vs T-Hawk, El Lindaman & Duan Yingnan

ALL OUT has gone through a bumpy road since “JUDGEMENT 2018”. Things went went south after April when Konosuke Takeshita lost the KO-D Title and Akito briefly went down with an injury. Shunma Katsumata was then called out for his poor performances and had to go in search of himself to improve. Part of it involved signing up to a Gold’s Gym membership. His efforts rewarded ALL OUT with a KO-D 6-Man Tag Title reign that was sadly cut short when Takeshita suffered an injury. With Takeshita out of action it was up to Akito & Katsumata to continue on without him. Katsumata in particular decided go down the road of hardcore wrestling a little more often. He already had a taste of hardcore back in February when he fought Yuko Miyamoto but since then he had matches with table spots against Kazusada Higuchi and went one on one with Violento Jack in a Fans Bring The Weapons Death Match. Things seemed to be looking up when Takeshita returned and the powerful rugby rookie Yuki Iino joined the unit. That’s when a new conflict emerged to challenge them.

One of the big wrestling stories of the year coming out of Japan is the STRONG HEARTS exodus from Dragon Gate. During the springtime, CIMA spent time away from the company teaching pro wrestling in China for a promotion called Oriental Wrestling Entertainment. In May, CIMA along with some of his Japanese proteges more or less left Dragon Gate. Now, the public reason for this was so this group of wrestlers could focus exclusively on OWE in Shanghai. Obviously, everyone was surprised when instead the newly named STRONG HEARTS showed up in Wrestle-1 looking to cause some trouble. When that conflict ended over the summer, STRONG HEARTS found their next target, ALL OUT and DDT. When Takeshita was shared his disappointment with ALL OUT having no plans for “RYOGOKU PETER PAN” this year, STRONG HEARTS immediately sent them the challenge.

Two matches between the two sides will happen at Sumo Hall. First up is the 6-Man Tag. Akito, Katsumata & Iino are there for ALL OUT. STRONG HEARTS will be represented by T-Hawk, El Lindaman and Chinese newcomer Duan Yingnan. They want to show ALL OUT what real fire and fever in the ring is like!

5. The World’s Crazy Couple Battle: Makoto Oishi & Misaki Ohata Vs Joey Ryan & Laura James

The battle of the married couples! Makoto Oishi surprised everyone during a street wrestling event in May when he suddenly proposed to Misaki Ohata during their match. It was a heartwarming story in the middle of a wacky situation. Honestly, who could get upset by that?

Oh, huh… Alright then.

There isn’t much in wrestling that annoys Joey Ryan. Usually it’s him doing the annoying stuff. But somebody doing a marriage proposal during a wrestling match when he and Laura James already did it? Copycats! Ryan & James have challenged Oishi & Ohata to a match to see which marriage deserves to be called crazier. Oishi & Ohata say that their proposal was original and to be fair it is very different to what Ryan & James did. For one thing it involved Yukio Sakaguchi trying to run Ohata over with a truck and Oishi jumped in front of it to save her. How romantic.

6. Soken Holdings Present – Will You Eat Or Be Eaten!? Giant Special Single Match: Super Sasadango Machine Vs Andreza Giant Panda

Behold! The greatest discovery in Japanese wrestling over the last two years isn’t one of the New Japan young lions, nor is it a company ace like Kento Miyahara or Shotaro Ashino. Sure, Masashi Takeda is rad and Hana Kimura has star power written all over her. But nobody has captured attention the same way Andreza Giant Panda has. The “Big Beast Of The North” burst onto the scene from Hokkaido’s New Nemuro Pro Wrestling (N2W) in 2017, a promotion that they themselves admit is filled with out of shape, middle-aged amateur wrestlers with no fighting experience or any physical strengths. But how did Andreza get here? Originally named Shin Shin, he was born in China with a gigantism disease on 1st January 2016. The amount of growth a normal panda goes through in one year, Andreza went through in one month. As a cub he had the appetite of three pandas. Tragically he was abandoned by his parents and was bullied by the other pandas in China. He was found by a Chinese king and was sent to live in his fishing processing company in Nemuro city under the care of New Nemuro’s president Samson Miyamoto. Due to his massive size of 300cm in height and 500kg in weight, Miyamoto knew that this panda was made for pro wrestling. Now renamed Andreza Giant Panda, the animal dominated New Nemuro and quickly became the promotion’s top star. Andreza won the Best Newcomer award in the 2017 Samurai! TV Japan Indie Grand Prize. He also found a mate and became a father. Andreza’s ultimate goal is to appear in WWE after becoming famous. For the moment, a match for DDT in Sumo Hall will be his highest profile wrestling appearance yet. The fate of nature may very well be at stake!

When Super Sasadango Machine was chosen to be Andreza’s opponent he quickly established his motivation for the match. Andreza eats 40kg of bamboo on a daily basis and that is enough to make him a danger to the environment. The problem is Andreza is nigh on unbeatable. Sasadango thought he discovered a weakness. Andreza is supposedly helpless without his master Miyamoto. Sasadango kidnapped Miyamoto and thought it would give him the advantage on Andreza. That was proven wrong when Andreza somehow figured out how to travel from Nemuro to Sapporo by himself to rescue his master. Sasadango has since experienced how powerful Andreza’s Lightspeed Headbutt is and nobody has kicked out of the Andreza Press. A simulated fight with Sanshiro Takagi dressed as a panda gave Sasadango some valuable information. Also DDT is certain this match won’t get them sued for animal mistreatment so Sasadango has the all clear to do whatever he wants to take the air out of the Giant Panda!

7. The Difference In 27 Years Of Age! Representative Director And President (48 Years Old) And Belonging Wrestler (21 Years Old) Waste Blood Washing Conflict Play – Final Settlement Weapon Rumble!: Sanshiro Takagi Vs MAO

Enthusiasm is a characteristic that is usually appreciated but some people tend to take things too far. This year MAO reached that point. When DDT returned to focusing to its Falls Count Anywhere matches, MAO felt now was his time to step up and take the mantle of Street Wrestling king. The days of Sanshiro Takagi doing the crazy stuff is over. MAO wants to replace it with fucked up wrestling for a fucked up world! The over-enthusiasm came when MAO drove a van into Takagi during a match then threatened to blow up Shin-Kiba 1st RING with bottle rockets. MAO’s conflict with Takagi continued after “JUDGEMENT 2018” when the two were paired together in the King Of DDT 1st Round. Their match went crazy with bicycle crashes and the destruction of plastic boxes. They took it even further at Campsite Pro Wrestling when MAO and Takagi chased each other around in cars! The situation has gotten so out of control that both men agreed to have the ultimate DDT match to settle their score… The Weapon Rumble! New weapons will be added to the match Royal Rumble style and they can be anything. Weapons, humiliating mind games, wrestler cameos, family members. Anything is fair game. The two cannot be kept apart now. Even at the press conference they fought each other in a 3 minute wrestling match that ended in a time limit draw. At this point it will take divine intervention for a winner to be determined…

Thank God pro wrestling is so convenient.

Just days before the show, MAO went training in the Arakawa river bed with his Moonlight Express partner Mike Bailey. The training was focused on improving MAO’s accuracy with a pico pico hammer. Things turned south when MAO swung so hard that he lost grip of the hammer and threw it far away. When MAO went searching through the grass, he unexpectedly found the God Of Arakawa. Maybe he took the form of Jason Kincaid wearing a Casper jumper so he wouldn’t scare MAO away. Or maybe that’s just a coincidence and the God always looks like that. Anyway, the God Of Arakawa spoke to MAO and held two hammers, one gold, one silver. He asked if either of them belonged to MAO. MAO said neither were his. The God appreciated MAO’s honesty and awarded him a bag of 100 empty cans as a gift. The God then got mixed up and also gave him the Legendary Pico Pico Hammer. Then he gave him the gold and silver hammers anyway because at this point why not? So now MAO has the power of a God by his side!

8. Shigehiro Irie’s Grand Fight: Shigehiro Irie & Keisuke Ishii Vs HARASHIMA & Yukio Sakaguchi

What in the hell happened these last seven months? What in the hell happened this last year? Shigehiro Irie has been the key figure of confusion throughout DDT from March to October. After spending the early part of the year quiet and entirely absent from the company, he made a surprise return at the end of the previous Sumo Hall show as a different person. Gone was the happy go lucky Irie, in his place was a bitter man watching DDT change into something he no longer loved. His solution was to become KO-D Champion again so he could tear down DDT and rebuild it in his image. A month later he defeated Takeshita to win the title. Slowly but surely he found allies for his cause. Mizuki Watase was the only member of the main roster to join him. The rest of Irie’s followers consisted of wrestlers from overseas like Jason Kincaid, Facade, Sammy Guevara, Baliyan Akki and Ryan Davidson. The group was named RENEGADES because Irie wanted to do things his way rather than management’s.

The sticking point for Irie was DDT’s failure to deliver their promises. Irie loves going on his excursions to America wrestling new people and making new friends. DDT’s ideas to do more international work was never followed up on. It reached the point where Irie wanted to defend the KO-D Title in America and he was going to do it whether DDT allowed it or not. The Director of DDT at the time was Danshoku Dieno and he reluctantly gave Irie permission to go ahead. However he warned Irie not to act reckless and lose the championship. It was Irie’s responsibility alone to be the defending champion overseas.

1st August, 2018. The date will live on as the starting point for the most chaotic period in the history of the KO-D Title. Irie gets pinned by Sami Callihan at a Rockstar Pro show in Ohio, losing the championship in his first defence outside of Japan. When news made its way back to DDT, everybody scrambled to save face. The wrestlers were in shock and blamed Irie for damaging DDT’s reputation abroad. Takagi and Dieno went to work trying to figure out how to get the title back on a DDT wrestler. Irie saved face by winning the championship back a week later and he was able to return to Japan with the belt. Crisis averted but Irie’s pride was scarred. Not so much by the title loss but by Dieno being proven right. Irie grew to resent Dieno even more, blaming him for everything he finds wrong with DDT. The feud led to more chaos in the title scene when Dieno used a Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere Gauntlet to win the KO-D Title from Irie on an episode of Maji Manji. Another Gauntlet was used two weeks later by Meiko Satomura that led to her winning the title. Irie had one chance left to win back the belt in a 3 Way Elimination Match but Dieno surprised him with the Gaydo Clutch and Irie became the first person eliminated from the match. Beaten and outsmarted, Irie accepted defeat and admitted it was time to move on. He shook Dieno by the left hand because the left hand is closer to your heart.

When the dust was settled, Irie had a new direction and it is one that relies less on DDT. Late in September Irie announced he will not renew his contract and will become a freelancer in October. He will still be accepting bookings with DDT but his priority will be going abroad with dates already confirmed for America and Germany. His last match before he heads away is here in Sumo Hall with his favourite partner and opponents. HARASHIMA, the man Irie could not beat until this past July. Yukio Sakaguchi, the man who he had violent clashes with in the past. Keisuke Ishii, the man he grew up with in wrestling and shared plenty of time with as part of Team Dream Futures. Already gone from his contract, Irie has shown signs of his old self recently. The big goofy smile is returning. Maybe he will show it to everyone in DDT one more time at Sumo Hall.

I swear if Irie shows up at New Japan in a few months time calling himself “Dramatic” there is going to be Hell to pay.

9. Dramatic Dream Match: Konosuke Takeshita Vs CIMA

The other ALL OUT Vs STRONG HEARTS match is focused on the two big names of the groups. Takeshita Vs CIMA! Sumo Hall has been home to some of Takeshita’s biggest matches in his career. Kenny Omega, Katsuhiko Nakajima, Hiroshi Tanahashi and his battles with both Tetsuya Endo and Shuji Ishikawa all took place in the building for DDT’s biggest events in recent years. CIMA on the other hand? The 2000 Super J Cup and two Dragon Gate shows from almost a decade ago were the only Sumo Hall appearances I can find for him. If home field advantages and venue familiarity count in this situation, Takeshita has it by the bucket load.

Of course the worst thing someone can do in this match is underestimate CIMA. This dude has been wrestling almost as long as Takeshita has been alive. Takeshita wasn’t even three years old when CIMA made his WCW debut. CIMA can be very sly in the ring when he wants to be. Any chance Takeshita has of making this a spot heavy blow for blow banger can be stopped in its tracks when CIMA decides to twist his body a dozen different painful ways instead. The result of this paints an interesting future for DDT’s immediate future. The STRONG HEARTS are already confirmed to appear on the next Korakuen Hall show a week after this show. If CIMA beats Takeshita, what next will be on his mind for DDT? I mean obviously we know what he’ll want. The Iron Man Title of course! STRONG HEARTS Vs SKE48 will be the next big invasion feud, mark my words!!!

10. KO-D Openweight Title: Danshoku Dieno (c) Vs Daisuke Sasaki

And so we finally make it to the finale. Two major figures in DDT that plotted and scrapped their way into the Sumo Hall main event. This is the first “PETER PAN” main event appearance for both Danshoku Dieno and Daisuke Sasaki. Dieno has main evented Sumo Hall for DDT once before back in 2013 but that was the first half of a weekend double header in the building and the lesser of the two shows. This year is what counts for Dieno and he did everything he could do to make it here.

Dieno was the DDT Director for most of the year. When it came to the KO-D Title, he publicly showed no desire for it and was the neutral party when deciding challengers and title defences. He avoided any tournaments or matches to determine the No. 1 contenders and played no part in the annual scramble for the Right To Challenge Gauntlets. But in the background, Dieno had a goal he needed to accomplish. The one thing that’s alluded him in his long DDT career is the main event match at “PETER PAN”. The best way to do that is be the champion and the title holder Shigehiro Irie just happened to be a thorn in his side during this period. Calling in a favour from Super Sasadango Machine, Dieno was gifted a Right To Challenge Gauntlet and he cashed it in on an exhausted Irie, easily beating him to become the new champion. He then immediately quit as the Director so he wouldn’t have to grant Irie a rematch. The one grave mistake he made was forgetting that there was one more Gauntlet in play and it was being held by a disgruntled Meiko Satomura. Dieno loses the title to Satomura in his first defence and his dreams start falling apart. The only saving grace was hearing that Irie wanted revenge. Dieno was able to wiggle his way into a 3 Way Elimination Match for the title and he ended up pinning both opponents to become champion once again. In the end, everything worked out perfectly for Dieno. His dream is finally coming true!

Daisuke Sasaki lived the dream once. He found something too good to be true. He found love. Big Love. A fling with “Japan’s First Genderless Wrestler” Asuka over the summer turned into something more, at least in Sasaki’s mind. They teamed together on Maji Manji shows until they were booked into a singles match against each other at July’s Korakuen show. Sasaki didn’t worry about it until Asuka broke the news to him in the ring. She was never really interested in him. He’s too old for her and also wasn’t her type. This was the point where Sasaki’s 2018 changed. Gone was Big Love and in its place was a hatred for everything. Sasaki defeated Asuka then went on to win the King Of DDT in August. With a broken heart and no desire to fix it, Sasaki’s focus was now on becoming the KO-D Champion at Sumo Hall. Also the 2,000,000 yen cash prize from the main event sponsor.

Dieno talking about his dreams only pisses Sasaki off even more. Sasaki called Dieno the symbol of DDT and a relic of the past. Mind games developed in the last couple of weeks as Sasaki tried to withstand Dieno’s lewd moveset. He now believes he is invincible against Dieno’s erotic wrestling style. Dieno warns that he will go beyond Sasaki’s imagination to win and if that means pulling out the ultimate versions of his signature moves, so be it. This Sunday, the symbol of DDT will be decided!

If Irie truly has a vision for what DDT should be then beating HARASHIMA may finally see it come to light.

*V2 for HARASHIMA.
6. KO-D Openweight Title: Shigehiro Irie (c) defeated Kazusada Higuchi with the Beast Bomber (20:58).
*V2 for Shigehiro Irie.

Two heavyweights smashed each other to bits in the main event and when the dust was settled, Shigehiro Irie stood over Kazusada Higuchi, still the KO-D Openweight Champion. Higuchi brought his table smashing antics over from “DDT LIVE! MAJI MANJI” by Power Slamming Irie onto one from the ring apron. Irie got violent too by doing a Slingshot Senton Bomb to Higuchi underneath a pile of chairs outside the ring. Most of Higuchi’s big moves like the Doctor Bomb and Leg Roll Clutch were kicked out of. Irie bounced back from Higuchi’s Lariats with his Cannonball attacks then when Higuchi was weakened enough, the Beast Bomber put him down for the count.

Irie gave Higuchi a brief thank you after the match and it didn’t take long for his next title defence to be put together. Hisaya Imabayashi announced Irie will defend the title in Korakuen Hall on 22d July. He then asked if any of the Right To Challenge Gauntlet holders would like to use their title shot on that date. HARASHIMA entered the ring and said he will do it! He would have liked to do it right now but he wants to fight Irie when he is in his perfect state. Imabayashi asked HARASHIMA if he also wants to put his DDT Extreme Title on the line. HARASHIMA declined because he wants to defend it against Antonio Honda next, maybe in a Blindfold & Bra Death Match like they did back in 2013. HARASHIMA told Irie he’s become a strong champion but he does not like what he is doing to DDT. HARASHIMA doesn’t want people with an attitude like Irie’s to be champion because it can be damaging to DDT. Irie said he is glad that HARASHIMA is his next challenger. He’s been waiting for this match most of all out of the Gauntlet holders. He dismissed HARASHIMA’a claim that his title reign and attitude is making DDT rotten.

Imabayashi reminded HARASHIMA that should he lose his Gauntlet before 22nd July, his spot in the title match will become vacant. He must have his Gauntlet on the day to guarantee his position. Irie yelled at Imabayashi for interrupting him and said he doesn’t care if HARASHIMA has a Gauntlet or not. He wants the match to happen regardless. Imabayashi called over to Producer Danshoku Dieno and they asked if Irie understands the rules of the Gauntlets. Irie blasted insults at Dieno for his role as DDT’s Producer. Dieno tried to calm him down but Irie continued to yell at him until Irie had enough and left the ring.

Remember how the 3 Way Match was supposed to have no cheating and no interference for the sake of good sportsmanship? Yeah, that didn’t happen. Daisuke Sasaki and Soma Takao didn’t wait long to get help from Tetsuya Endo & Mad Paulie. Together DAMNATION tore apart HARASHIMA until Shuten-dōji came to rescue him. With the interference gone the match turned into 2-on-1 with Sasaki and Takao helping each other. That blew up when Sasaki was trying to put HARASHIMA in the Cross Facelock. Takao went in for a Thrust Kick but struck Sasaki by accident! HARASHIMA got rid of Sasaki with the Somato then countered Takao’s Gin And Tonic into the Yama-ori head drop. Another Somato put away Takao and meant HARASHIMA is still the Extreme Champion! HARASHIMA thanked Shuten-dōji for helping him. They were still presumably fighting with DAMNATION backstage but if they could hear HARASHIMA, he invited them out to go drinking later.

All the hard work Shunma Katsumata has put into his training has finally paid off. ALL OUT are now the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Champions! He with the help of his partners whittled the champions down to just Yuki Ueno in the ring. While Kota Umeda & Koju Takeda did what they could to keep the match alive, Konosuke Takeshita & Akito held them back long enough for Katsumata to finish the job. Takeshita told Katsumata backstage that his efforts in training was finally rewarded. Akito also reminded Katsumata that ALL OUT is not just the three of them. There’s Diego as well and it feels like he was with them in spirit supporting their title win. Over at the losing side, Ueno is worried that his team won’t be able to bounce back from this because they aren’t a proper unit. All they can do is work hard but today they learned that individual power by itself is not enough.

KUDO never thought his wrestling career would last 15 years. He was able to do it with all of the support from his friends, his seniors and his juniors. His anniversary match ended with him pinning Makoto Oishi to win the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title and to cap it all off, he was even given flowers from HARASHIMA. KUDO is happy but now feels a little worried about having the Iron Man Title on him.

Sammy Guevara didn’t come to DDT to make friends, at least that’s judging by the middle finger he gave Mike Bailey at the start of their match. At first Bailey was one step ahead of of the newcomer. Some surprise pop-up Knee Strikes and dives put Guevara in control until the Green Tea Plunge came out of nowhere to give Bailey the victory. Backstage Bailey said he will be spending a month in England. When he comes back he wants himself and MAO to go after the KO-D Tag Team Titles. Guevara called Bailey a terrible high flyer and demanded a rematch. He also wants everyone to go look at his Youtube channel. Guevara was later seen standing with Mizuki Watase in Irie’s corner for the main event.

Let’s look at all of the reasons why Toru Owashi was disqualified in the opener. Unmasking two wrestlers and allegedly attacking everybody with three chairs, a broom, a basin, a bottle of oil and a ladder. He had so many items attached to him that he ended up looking like a game of Buckaroo! The last minute loser leaves town stipulation meant that Owashi is now banished from Japan. DDT immediately announced that Washitimo Dragon will make his debut on 26th June. Yuki Iino came down wearing an Ultimo Dragon mask to carry Owashi away from ringside with a few other wrestlers. Then there was another announcement. The real Ultimo Dragon is coming back to DDT on 3rd July!

Aaron Anders was able to give Kouki Iwasaki the Twisting Flapjack after Mizuki Watase tripped Iwasaki by the ropes.

Joey Ryan & Laura James have challenged Makoto Oishi & Misaki Ohata to a match at “RYOGOKU PETER PAN 2018” on 21st October. Ryan & James accuse Oishi & Ohata of stealing their idea of having a marriage proposal during a wrestling match. Oishi admitted he needed to do a couple of takes for the match announcement video because he kept saying his partner was Shiori Asahi instead of Ohata out of habit.

Taiyo Kea makes his DDT debut on the 25th August Korakuen Hall show.

The Up Up Girls (Fake) wanted to perform a dance routine at the start of the show but Imabayashi mercifully stopped them.

DDT’s return to the Handmade In Japan Fes on 7th July will feature one match. It will be Sanshiro Takagi & Kazusada Higuchi Vs HARASHIMA & Keisuke Ishii Vs Danshoku Dieno & Makoto Oishi in a 3 Way Tag Match.

Kazuki Hirata and Toru Owashi are the latest DDT wrestlers to get gender-swapped characters for the Ring☆Dream online game. Their characters will be added during the summer.

6. Ogura Specialty! Watching A Million Summer Special Tag Match: KUDO & Yukio Sakaguchi defeated Shigehiro Irie & Kouki Iwasaki when Sakaguchi submitted Iwasaki with the Sakaguchi Cobra Clutch (11:48).
7. Keisuke Ishii, Danshoku Dino & Mike Bailey defeated Konosuke Takeshita, Akito & Diego when Ishii pinned Diego with the High Angle Double Arm DDT (15:19).

Keisuke Ishii’s team ran wild on ALL OUT in finish to the main event. Danshoku Dino trapped Akito on the ropes with the Danshoku Nightmare VR. Then Mike Bailey dove over both of them onto Konosuke Takeshita outside the ring. Ishii then gave Diego the High Angle Double Arm DDT for the three count.

Yukio Sakaguchi told the fans not to worry because Shuten-dōji will win the KO-D Tag Team Titles tomorrow.

Daisuke Sasaki has resorted to more personal mind games against Joey Ryan. Sasaki brought out a portrait of Laura James with him to rile up Joey. The plan backfired because Joey shoved a lollipop into Sasaki’s mouth and Super Kicked him for the win. Joey said he will take the DDT Extreme Title from him tomorrow then demanded to have the picture of Laura back because Sasaki doesn’t deserve it. Later Sasaki crossed the line during his post-match interview when he said in English “I will fuck your wife!”

Yuni joined in with Hirata Collection A.T.’s model walk even though they were on different teams. He later pinned Hirata with the Sky Twister Press from the 2nd rope.

Naomi Yoshimura confronted Takeshita at ringside before the show began. Yoshimura wanted to show everyone the latest item he stole from Takeshita. First it was the Opening Show Call, then it was the Gold Gym membership card. Today Yoshimura was taking Takeshita’s protein powder! He taunted Takeshita by mixing up his own protein shake and drinking it in front of him. There was just one problem. That wasn’t Takeshita’s powder, he uses a different brand. An angry Nobuhiro Shimatani came out, grabbed the powder from Yoshimura and went back to the locker room.

*V2 for Yuu.

joshi17-lastride

For the second year in a row Tokyo Joshi Pro was in Korakuen Hall for a big show held on 4th January. One year ago, Yuu had her debut pro wrestling match with the group. Today she was defending the TOKYO Princess Of Princess Championship in the main event. Her opponent Shoko Nakajima was part of last year’s main event too fighting to be the first champion. Unfortunately for her she was defeated again. Yuu unexpectedly used a Last Ride Power Bomb, in tribute to the late Koichiro Kimura apparently, putting Nakajima away. Yuu is looking forward to defending the title many more times and she didn’t have to wait long for a new challenger to appear. Reika Saiki approached her in the ring to congratulate Yuu. Saiki called herself muscular, healthy and motivated so how about a title shot? Yuu accepted the challenge. She’s defending the belt but she’s going to treat the championship like it is hers to win!

joshi17-akai-martha

Fresh back from Paris, Saki Akai returned to Tokyo Joshi and this time she was accompanied by her faithful maid Martha. Miyu Yamashita did the polite thing and greeted Martha but it was clear she didn’t trust her. She was proven right to do so when Martha distracted the referee while Akai was in a Camel Clutch. Yamashita broke it to go after Martha but when she turned back Akai was there to do a Big Boot. Yamashita ducked and Martha took the boot to the face instead. Yamashita hit the Attitude Adjustment but only got a two count. Akai dodged the Crash Rabbit Heat and got the pin with the Two Step Face Kick. Akai played it off like the result was no big deal. She offered to help lift Yamashita back up to her feet but then she kicked her again. She told Tetsuya Koda to contact her later about appearing in a match on 21st January. She would like to team up with Martha for that match so Koda better go looking for their opponents.

joshi17-clown-candice

Mil Clown defeated the returning Candice LeRae, avenging her twin sister’s loss to the Canadian one year ago. At one point LeRae fought dirty by pushing Daisuke Kiso into the ropes to knock Clown off of the top turnbuckle. However Clown recovered and caught LeRae in the Mil Clutch α for the flash pin.

joshi17-towerbridge

Cheer♡1 and LinQ performed together after Match #2 but two of their members wrestled each other later in the show. Maki Itoh kicked Reika Saiki as often as she could but a Headbutt from Saiki slowed her down. Itoh kept trying to fight back until she was locked into the Tower Bridge and had to submit. Itoh was happy to wrestle in Korakuen Hall despite only having her debut match three weeks ago. She hopes pro wrestling will bring in more fans over to her idol career with LinQ. The group is going to reshuffle its members in June and she doesn’t want to get fired!

joshi17-wives

Love was in the air for Match #3. Joey Ryan & Laura James kissed each other and wished everyone a happy new year during their entrance. Then Inoue Mic & Ai Shimizu did the same. Ryan was there to be the referee and ring announcer Mic introduced Shimizu as his “beloved and unbelievably cute wife”. Their opponents Azusa Takigawa & Nonoko came armed with the premium New Year issue of Zexy Magazine. Ryan was biased towards his wife’s team but Nonoko did her best to seduce him during the match. When Takigawa was ready to use her magazine as a weapon both husbands ran to protect their wives. During the confusion Takigawa accidentally knocked out Nonoko with the magazine, Ryan put his lollipop into Takigawa’s mouth and Shimizu pinned her with the Fishergirl Suplex.

joshi17-momochi

Match #2 was changed from a Tag Team bout to a 3 Way Match when Akane Miura caught the flu and was taken off the show. The match also served as ring announcer Minami Momochi’s graduation from Tokyo Joshi. She received streamers from the crowd during the announcements. She also got involved in the match, helping Hyper Misao fight the demonic Maho Kurone. Momochi gave Kurone a Neckbreaker Drop and Misao then hit the I Am A Hero. However Rika Tatsumi took over the match and won when she put Kurone in the Dragon Sleeper.

joshi17-nodoka-cherry

Before Nodoka-oneesan took on her mentor Cherry in the opener, she invited Momochi to participate in Ping Pong Exercises with her one more time. When that was done Cherry came down but she did not want to go through the pre-match formalities. After the match though she embraced Nodoka and supported her for putting up a good fight.

*V2 for HARASHIMA.

2017special-somato

Everyone was in a celebratory mood as DDT welcomed everyone to their first show of 2017. The show kicked off with different members of the roster thanking the fans for their support as they reach their goals for this year. But when it was time for the main event all eyes were on HARASHIMA and “Speedball” Mike Bailey. HARASHIMA got a taste of Bailey’s kicks early and decided to target the challenger’s legs from then on. He threw some kicks of his own and while Bailey fired back, it just hurt his leg even further. Bailey recovered to hit a few Moonsault Double Knees and Shooting Star Double Knees. But the vital moment came when HARASHIMA rolled out of the way and immediately hit the Somato. Bailey kicked out of the pin but another Somato afterwards put him away. With another KO-D Openweight Title defence to his name, HARASHIMA thanked Bailey for a very hard match. He was happy to wrestle Bailey after watching his matches on Youtube. Bailey pointed out that HARASHIMA is always smiling. Bailey can’t smile right now but it’s not because he’s sad. What would make him smile is another match with HARASHIMA in the future.

2017special-challengers

The next KO-D Title match will take place on 29th January and it will be the last title match before the “JUDGEMENT 2017” 20th Anniversary show at Saitama Super Arena on 20th March. Daisuke Sasaki demanded a title shot so he can reclaim the KO-D Title and win Candice LeRae’s affections. HARASHIMA accepted the challenge. Sasaki then said another DAMNATION wrestler wants a KO-D Title shot at “JUDGEMENT 2017”. Shuji Ishikawa stepped forward but Sasaki kicked him away. He was talking about Tetsuya Endo. However Amon Tsurumi called in KUDO, Konosuke Takeshita and Kazusada Higuchi into the ring to stand next to Endo. Tsurumi announced a mini tournament between the four wrestlers with the Saitama Super Arena main event spot up for grabs. Takeshita will fight Higuchi on 7th January and KUDO fights Endo on 8th January. The two winners will then meet in the final on 29th January.

2017special-storytime

When Antonio Honda found himself fighting against DAMNATION alone he resorted to what he knows best. Telling children’s stories. The distraction allowed Konosuke Takeshita & Kazusada Higuchi time to recover and come to the rescue. However when Honda climbed the ropes to set up the Diving Fist Drop, Tetsuya Endo stopped him with a Handspring Kneel Kick. He then got the win with the Sky Twister Press.

2017special-proposal

If it wasn’t before, now love really is over for Daisuke Sasaki. He entered the ring where Candice LeRae stood waiting for him but he did not want to wrestle her. Instead he had gifts like candy and a bouquet of flowers. More importantly he had a divorce form with Johnny Gargano’s forged signature on it and also a marriage registration form with his own genuine signature on it. He thought it would be swell if Candice would sign both of them for him. Guanchulo translated the message for Candice to understand. She said if Sasaki beats her in a match then she would think about it. Sasaki excitedly called for the bell so the match would begin! Sasaki fought dirty and didn’t pull any punches on Candice. When the crowd booed he yelled back that she’s not his girlfriend yet. Candice fought back with a Swinging DDT and tried to put Sasaki in the Gargano Escape. Sasaki countered with the Cross Facelock but Candice escaped. Sasaki was ready to give Candice a Super Kick but hesitated. He told Candice he loves her but Candice flipped him a middle finger. Sasaki got angry and went ahead with the Super Kick. He then hit the Vietnam Driver II for the victory.

2017special-rejection

Sasaki calmed down after the match and happily asked Candice to sign his forms. They can be the John Lennon and Yoko Ono of the wrestling world! The crowd urged her on with “Yes!” chants. But Candice threw away the forms and had something to say instead. First, Sasaki’s not her type. Second, she heard Sasaki is also in love with Laura James. Sasaki claimed he was a different person from a year ago. He has since become the ace of DDT and created DAMNATION, the most popular unit in pro wrestling! Why doesn’t Candice like him? As Sasaki broke into tears Candice was blunt with him. Sasaki has no championship but Candice’s husband Johnny is a WWE champion! Sasaki panicked. Belt? Belt! He can get a belt! Sasaki went in for a kiss but Candice gave him the Ball Plex and left. Obviously the wrestling press had some questions for Candice after the match and she answered them. Would she have ever signed the forms? No, she was only joking. Also she can’t write in Japanese. What is Sasaki missing that Gargano has? Gargano is not a bully like Sasaki. Candice doesn’t like how Sasaki kicks around Shuji Ishikawa all the time.

2017special-lighttube

A single lighttube was attached to the ropes for the DDT Extreme Title match. Jun Kasai and Akito fought around the lighttube trying break it over their opponent. Kasai found a fake lighttube under the ring and swapped it with the real one when Akito and the referee weren’t looking. Akito later hit him with the fake lighttube but it never broke. He found the real one and placed it across two steel chairs. Kasai Headbutted Akito and gave him the Reverse Tiger Driver through the lighttube to win the match. Akito was saddened to lose his Tavern Wrestling specialty match for the first time. He also feels that time is running out for him because he will turn 30 this year. While Akito loves the DDT Extreme Title he now wants to win any championship in DDT. At the end of the show Kasai was confronted by DAMNATION. Mad Paulie just had one thing to say to him. “Happy New Year!” He also wants a title shot. Kasai accepted the challenge and the match will take place in Osaka on 4th February. The champion promises to cook up a dramatic, extreme, crazy match in his kitchen for them to fight in.

2017special-kudo

Shuten-dōji are currently feeling unbeatable. They vanquished DAMNATION in December and started 2017 beating Yoshihiro Takayama, Dick Togo & Guanchulo. They’re not intimidated by their next challengers NωA. Them beating Gorgeous Matsuno & Cherry today doesn’t impress them. KUDO says he doesn’t recognise them as idols. In the 20 years of DDT the only idol he can see here is Masahiro Takanashi!

2017special-urano

After failing to win the KO-D Title on Christmas Day, Shigehiro Irie is preparing another excursion to America later this month. If Danshoku Dino misses him he didn’t show it. Irie was the only person in the ring Dino did not want to kiss during their tag match. At one point Irie just stood there waiting for the inevitable Lip Lock but left him hanging and tagged out instead. Eventually Irie grabbed Dino by the arm and he gave him the Lip Lock instead! Yasu Urano wound up winning the match by countering Keisuke Ishii’s Double Arm DDT into a Jackknife Pin. After the match Urano picked up the AJPW Jr. Title and stared at it before placing it on Ishii’s shoulder. Backstage Urano said he doesn’t feel like he can challenge for the title whenever he wants but maybe he can in half a month’s time.

2017special-ryan

Gota Ihashi felt jealous of Joey Ryan & Laura James when he saw them kissing before their match. He tried to get a kiss from Saki Akai but was rejected. Ryan & Laura oiled themselves up and hit the Couple Combination to Ihashi in the corner. Ihashi got his hands on the lotion and wanted to do the same move with Akai on James but Ryan cut them off. Ihashi gave Ryan a Manhattan Drop but all it did was hurt his knee. Ryan then Super Kicked him for the win while James stretched Akai’s arm with her crotch in a move much like her husband’s.

2017special-hirata

The show kicked off with a musical 3 Way Tag Match. NωA came out singing “Going My Way!!! ~You Are Not Alone~”. Kazuki Hirata came out dancing on his own. Gorgeous Matsuno & Cherry performed a duet of the song “Drunk Hearts”. The match itself didn’t last long, Makoto Oishi pinned Hirata in just over three minutes. They think it is a good sign for their KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles match in Saitama later this week.

2017special-dark

Dark days continue for Nobuhiro Shimatani. He tried as hard as he could to pin Kouki Iwasaki in the prelim match but a low Knee Strike reversed his fortunes and Iwasaki submitted him with a Crab Hold.

2017special-ironman

Ever since Hyota Echizenya won the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title in Osaka, the pressure of defending the title has been getting to the comedian. He no longer wants to be the champion but he also thinks the next champion needs to be strong enough to handle responsibility of defending the title 24/7. So he has been searching the streets in search of somebody deserving to beat him for the championship. But every time he found someone he thought was suitable he found out they did not know pro wrestling and could not fight out of his Cobra Twist.

2017special-oyama

Retired MMA fighter Shungo Oyama will have his debut pro wrestling match at “JUDGEMENT 2017”. Oyama says he is a big fan of pro wrestling and has followed DDT for a long time but respected the sport too much to ever compete in it. However he would regret never doing it so he decided now was the time to experience the amazing splendour of pro wrestling. Also it will make him happy to stand inside Saitama Super Arena again like he did for Pride FC and HERO’S.

koeitecmo-6man

A special 6-Man Tag Team Match was announced for “JUDGEMENT 2017”. The match is sponsored by Koei Tecmo makers of Dynasty Warriors, Samurai Warriors, Romance Of The Three Kingdoms and Nobunaga’s Ambition video games. In collaboration with the phone game “Nobunaga’s Ambition ~Our Warring States~” the match will be Sanshiro Takagi, Keiji Muto & Isami Kodaka Vs Daisuke Sekimoto, Jun Akiyama & Kota Ibushi! In addition to this each wrestler will represent a historical figure from the video game. Takagi is Toyotomi Hideyoshi, Muto is Shingen Takeda, Kodaka is Yukimura Sanada, Sekimoto is Katsuie Shibata, Akiyama is Kenshin Uesugi and Ibushi is Nobunaga Oda.

nevermind-kod

Merry Christmas everyone! The final DDT show of the year had HARASHIMA’s first defence of his current KO-D Openweight Title reign. The challenger Shigehiro Irie had a lot of momentum on his side ever since he came back from America. He had pinned HARASHIMA in his first match back and was on the winning side for most of their tag matches in the lead up to today. Irie would even taunt HARASHIMA by giving him the thumbs down after all of their matches. HARASHIMA targeted Irie’s abdomen early on, hitting the John Woo Dropkick, some Knee Drops and Foot Stomps then a Cobra Twist. He did the deed by doing a Falcon Arrow but Irie kicked out and turned the tables with a Traffic Accident Tackle. HARASHIMA avoided both a Piledriver and the Flying Sausage but Irie finally hit a move with the Black Hole Slam. He tried to do a Piledriver on the apron but HARASHIMA slipped out and hit a Buzzsaw Kick. Irie quickly cut his momentum at ringside with a Power Bomb onto the apron instead. When HARASHIMA was rolled back into the ring he kicked out of the pin. He blocked Irie from doing the Flying Sausage and did a Superplex instead. A Swan Dive Foot Stomp got a two count. Irie applied the Tazzmission and tried to do a Suplex variation but HARASHIMA fought his way out of it. HARASHIMA hit three middle kicks but Irie hit back with the Beast Bomber and then gave a thumbs down. He went for the Vertical Drop Back Flip but HARASHIMA slipped out and hit a Jumping High Kick. The end came with both wrestlers trying to hit either the Somato or the Beast Bomber and HARASHIMA came out on top.

nevermind-christmas

Irie finally gave HARASHIMA the thumbs up after the match. HARASHIMA said that everyone now sees how strong Irie has become and he would be happy to fight him again. HARASHIMA is now looking forward to defending the title against Mike Bailey on 3rd January. The rest of the roster then came out including Super Sasadango Machine wearing a Santa costume. Several of the wrestlers gave out their goals for 2017. Konosuke Takeshita wants to win back the KO-D Title. Yukio Sakaguchi will kill everyone who stands before his eyes. KUDO has spent this year recovering from his injuries and becoming a father so he wants to show everyone a strong KUDO next year. Yoshihiro Takayama has gotten so used to wrestling in DDT he now wants something to wrap around his waist to keep warm. Danshoku Dino will go on a diet. Keisuke Ishii wants to be more central to DDT. Saki Akai wants to spread the world of DDT. Kazusada Higuchi wants to win the New Year Tag Team Tournament. Shunma Katsumata wants to release a solo album, record more songs with NωA, win the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles and recruit a new member for NωA. Sasadango wants to return to the ring and live vigorously in good health. Sanshiro Takagi wants to send DDT across the whole world through DDT UNIVERSE. Finally HARASHIMA wants everyone to continue their support for DDT.

nevermind-kod6

Shuten-dōji continues to have DAMNATION’s number. They beat DAMNATION to win the KO-D 6-Man Tag Titles earlier this month, beat them again earlier this week and then beat them once more in their first title defence. If that wasn’t enough, Masahiro Takanashi pinned Daisuke Sasaki in all three matches! Even Takanashi has trouble believing it. The third straight loss for DAMNATION has put them in crisis. They stormed out at the end of the show after the rest of the roster gave their resolutions. Is DAMNATION going to split up? Hell no! Sasaki says if they’re breaking up on Christmas Day, they would do it alone during a party for just themselves. Instead Sasaki will prepare for his next match on 3rd January. He will face the love of his life Candice LeRae! Next year DAMNATION will not flock together or flirt or get married… but Sasaki will get married to Candice! Sasaki was also kicking Shuji Ishikawa as he was shouting this out. Mad Paulie wasn’t really paying attention, instead wishing everyone a merry Christmas and a happy new year.

The first two matches for “JUDGEMENT 2017” in Saitama Super Arena next March were announced. A good card has to be prepared since the show celebrates DDT’s 20 year anniversary. First, Tokyo Joshi Pro gets a high profile match by mixing in with DDT’s women and two big joshi names. It will be Meiko Satomura, Saki Akai & Shoko Nakajima Vs Aja Kong, Cherry & Miyu Yamashita! The other match is Danshoku Dino versus whoever he wants. Dino requested Triple H but that was immediately turned down because it is deemed impossible to set up. It is up to Dino to choose his dream opponent under one condition, he cannot spend over 500,000 yen combined in payment, transportation and accommodation expenses.

Mad Paulie was truly in the Christmas spirit all day. He came down to the ring for his match against Konosuke Takeshita wearing a Santa hat and beard. He dominated the early portion of the bout, overwhelming Takeshita with brute force and throwing him around ringside. Takeshita spent the match defending himself against Paulie’s attacks. The opening he was looking for when he avoided the Reverse Splash. He then hit move after move from Big boots to Lariats to Brainbusters until Paulie couldn’t take anymore. Takeshita then got the win with the German Suplex. Takeshita was happy to spend the last DDT show of the year wrestling in a singles match and his victory was his Christmas gift to the fans.

Kazusada Higuchi say he has learned a lot by teaming with Yoshihiro Takayama in the last few months. Takayama thinks Higuchi is just trying to flatter him but Higuchi is being honest. Takayama says he too is learning new things by teaming with Higuchi and Kouki Iwasaki. When asked about his desire to want something around his waist, Takayama simply answered he is the man who wants everything.

Joey Ryan & Laura James have set their sights on becoming DDT’s power couple. Before their match with Makoto Oishi & Saki Akai began, James dared the referee to check her tights for any hidden items. When the ref became uncomfortable, Ryan then demanded him to do it. The couple showed off their deadly double team move during the match. Ryan falls down on his hands and knees next to the target, James pours lotion all over his back, she then charges towards him and slides over his back head first into the opponent. After winning the match, Ryan said their opponents were easy and he match difficult on purpose just to have a challenge. Their goal in DDT for 2017 is to win the KO-D Tag Team Titles. Also James wants to visit Harajuku and go see a cat cafe.

Everyone in the 3 Way Tag match agreed to Lucha tag rules for the bout. Antonio Honda got upset when he couldn’t join in on the wrestling between Soma Takao and Shunma Katsumata. So he began telling a story that happened a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. Everybody expected him to talk about Star Wars but it instead turned out to be Gon, The Little Fox again.

Whenever Jiro Kuroshio shows up in DDT it is always a fun time for everyone, except Kazuki Hirata. He’s jealous of Kuroshio’s popularity and hates his entrance song. It’s incomprehensible and annoying unlike his own song. He was going to crush Kuroshio in this match! He also warned him about Dino’s behaviour around handsome wrestlers. Dino was in fact smitten by Kuroshio but that motivated him rather than cause a distraction. Sanshiro Takagi used the brand new DDT Storage Box as a weapon during the match but was cut off with a Dropkick. Kuroshio was ready to end the match until Dino stopped to confess his love to him. Keisuke Ishii took over while this was going on and won the match for his team anyway.

Takanashi himself noticed this new trend is unusual for him. He wanted to act like beating Sasaki twice is no big deal be even he admits it is strange. Eh, whatever. Let’s drink!

A stipulation was added to MAO Vs Dick Togo. If MAO won then Togo would have to join NωA. But if Togo won then he would get to make a wish. He teased that he might wish to join NωA anyway. Before the match began, MAO was given 30kg of rice as a gift of encouragement from a local sponsor. During the match Togo pulled MAO out of the ring, pulled away a ring mat and Body Slammed MAO onto the exposed floor. Togo continued to control the match until MAO hit a No Touch Tope out of the ring. MAO later stopped Togo from doing the Senton Bomb by hitting an Avalanche Frankensteiner followed by the Screw Kick. Togo avoided the 450 Cannonball and took MAO back outside the ring so he could give him a Vertical Drop Brainbuster onto the floor. They hit a Back Drop/Neckbreaker Drop combo to HARASHIMA to take him out of the match then Irie latched on the Tazzmission to Yasu Urano for the victory. Irie said after the match that he will become the KO-D Openweight Champion in two days time.

The show featured the DDT debut of Laura James, wife of Joey Ryan. Joey and Sanshiro Takagi wanted her debut to be a serious match so they both stopped Kazuki Hirata from dancing. Ryan then repeatedly shouted “This is serious!” while he traded holds with Takagi. Hirata got the message and tried not to do anything wacky when he was in the ring with Laura. That all went out the window when Joey started doing his crotch spots and Hirata convinced Laura to dance with him. Joey stopped the dancing by shoving a lollipop into Hirata’s mouth and then Super Kicking him. Laura then hit a Northern Lights Suplex to win her first DDT match.

1. Akane Miura defeated Nodoka-oneesan with the Lariat (5:24).
2. I Also Want To Be In Love! This Year’s Christmas Will Also Be Special!: Rika Tatsumi & Hyper Misao defeated Azusa Takigawa & Nonoko when Tatsumi submitted Takigawa with the Zexy Dragon Sleeper (11:48).
3. Reika Saiki defeated Maho Kurone with the Tower Bridge (6:06).
4. ROAD TO “Ittenon” Special Tag Match: Yuu & Miyu Yamashita vs Shoko Nakajima & Mil Clown ended in a Time Limit Draw (20:00).

In a first for Tokyo Joshi Pro, the main event ended in a time limit draw. In the final seconds Yuu tried to put Shoko Nakajima in the Cross Armbreaker but could not sync it in when the time expired. Nakajima noted that she must be doing something wrong since she couldn’t win the match. Yuu told her she is looking forward to their match at Korakuen Hall on 4th January.

Saki Akai appeared after the main event to confront Miyu Yamashita. She told “Ms. Pelican” that they will have a match together at Korakuen. Akai wants to know how much Yamashita has changed since their last singles match. She also asked her to wash her face before the match. Yamashita said she will slash Akai down.

Maho Kurone is becoming more zombie like in her appearances. This time she entered the ring carrying a severed arm to chew on. Maki Itoh watched her future opponent Reika Saiki beat Kurone by submission.

Azusa Takigawa is building more and more of her matches around copies of Zexy magazine. She put a stack of issues together to use as a foreign object but that backfired when she hit Nonoko by mistake. She still held the magazine neatly in her arms when she tapped out to Rika Tatsumi’s Dragon Sleeper. Hyper Misao asked Tatsumi after the match to help her fight Akane Miura & Maho Kurone at Korakuen Hall. Misao called her opponents scary because one of them eats human meat and the other practised devil worship for a while. She also asked ring announcer Minami Momochi to help her preserve the peace in Tokyo Joshi as a special assistant. Konkatsu-gun’s plan for 4th January is to face Ai Shimizu & Laura James. It’s a battle between married women against women who want to get married!
