The bad blood between Pheromones and The Kuronita Army is getting hotter. Atsushi Onita thinks his team are a lock to win the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles so he got himself, Sanshiro Takagi and Hisaya Imabayashi (unwillingly standing in for Kuro-chan) to pose with the belts at the press conference. Danshoku Dieno brought up concerns that Imabayashi will interrupt the match and cancel it like he always do. Pheromones attacked Imabayashi to send a warning to their challengers. Onita rescued him and sent Pheromones fleeing. Imabayashi promised to give The Kuronita Army a year end bonus as thanks if they win the titles from Pheromones.

The final big DDT show of 2021 has its title matches decided. Konosuke Takeshita and Yuji Okabayashi have their rematch, this time with the KO-D Openweight Title is on the line. Their D-Ou Grand Prix match ended in a 30 minute draw but the rematch will have a 60 minute limit. Kenta Kobashi was a fan of that match and hopes the rematch will be just as exciting. There also won’t be a lot of opportunities for Takeshita and Okabayashi to wrestle each other before the show because Okabayashi has his own schedule with Big Japan keeping him busy.

With his grudge against Soma Takao out of the way, Daisuke Sasaki faces an unlikely next challenger. Masahiro Takanashi gets a DDT Universal Title match on the recommendation of his friend Chris Brookes. Sasaki thought Takanashi had retired and went to work somewhere in Ichigaya. But he was convinced to put the title on the line against him.

The new powerhouse team of Yuji Hino & Bodyguard challenge DISASTER BOX for the KO-D Tag Team Titles. This is coming off of a poor tournament for both HARASHIMA & Naomi Yoshimura. HARASHIMA finished with zero wins while Yoshimura lost to both Hino & Bodyguard in their block. Even if having no momentum wasn’t a problem, the champions still have two big mountains to climb.

No injury is going to stop Yukio Sakaguchi for long.

Minoru Suzuki and Maku Donaruto will be on the show. Imagine if they get paired together.

Ganpro Double Tripleheader In January

The new year for Ganbare☆Pro begins with two tripleheader shows within days of each other. The first day takes place in Kitazawa Town Hall on 8th January. Shinjiro Otani knows full well there is another big wrestling show is happening that day but he believes in the power of pro wrestling and he believes this tripleheader will be a success. The second tripleheader takes place two days later in Itabashi Green Hall. Each show promises to be individual from each other while all conveying the power of Ganpro!

Shota has always wanted to do a wrestling summit combining the Japanese and American wrestling scenes. The show he gets to produce here is much smaller in scale but he is still calling it the Indie Wrestling Summit. Shota thinks independent wrestling in this day and age isn’t about company size, roster numbers or skill levels. It’s whether or not the people involved have the spirit of the indies. Shota is using his 13 years of experience to gather wrestlers with this spirit and show them off at the highest level.

Soma Takao will be on the show. Shota doesn’t have a match yet so ROMANCE DAWN could face a team from the indies.

Since Kenta Kobashi will be in attendance to see the D-Ou Grand Prix final, Tetsuya Endo decided to visit him at his gym during the week to get some feedback on his tournament performance. Endo also brought up his plans to create a new unit. He asked Kobashi for advice, citing Kobashi’s experience leading units such as GET and Burning. Kobashi said a unit needs a strategist so Endo’s position would improve if he finds a councilor. Endo immediately asked Kobashi if he could take that role in the unit. Kobashi declined because he is not interested in returning to the ring. He did however invite Endo back to his gym again after the Grand Prix so they could talk more about potential members for Endo’s new unit.

While I’ve been writing up this blog post, all of a sudden DDT sends out a tweet in English hyping up a big mystery name. “That BIG NAME that everyone’s talking about recently will be at DDT 12.26 NEVER MIND 2021 in YOYOGI! During the week Mizuki Watase unexpectedly requested a move from DDT to Ganbare☆Pro. DDT had met with Watase to discuss his plans and all sides agreed to go through with the move as of 25th November. Watase’s match against Yusuke Okada on 5th December will still go ahead and it is now his send-off match from DDT. Watase has wrestled in Ganpro several times and thinks the heat from the fans matches his own temperature. He is grateful to DDT for having him for 6 years including his debut match in Sumo Hall. He hopes to get stronger so the next time he steps in a DDT ring he will return the favour. The champion has been beaten by Mizuki twice this year. During the Tokyo Princess Cup as well as yesterday’s Princess Tag Titles match. She respects her so much that she wants the match to take place on the annual Ittenyon show. There is no better time for Yamashita to avenge those losses.

Hikari Noa will next defend the International Princess Title against the winner of a Battle Royal taking place on 4th December. The participants of the Battle Royal will all be chosen by a fan votes on WRESTLE UNIVERSE. If you are subscribed to WRESTLE UNIVERSE then you can vote here using your name and User ID. Only one vote is allowed per account. Any multiple votes found will invalidate all of your votes. Noa thinks if a wrestler who has not been able to move up a step gets voted into the Battle Royal and wins the title shot, it will be a chance for that person to gain confidence. She will watch the Battle Royal and form her strategy depending on who wins.

6. Ganpro Four Big Singles Match ~ 26 Year Revenge For The Master: Shinjiro Otani defeated Kouki Iwasaki with a Cobra Hold (20:39).

Shinjiro Otani won the main event but may have come out of it with an injury to his left arm. He ignored the pain to continue fighting Kouki Iwasaki, eventually making him submit to the Cobra Hold. Otani said he is glad to have met Iwasaki in the ring. He also thinks that he himself now belongs in Ganbare☆Pro and wants the promotion to continue inspiring him.

An eager Ken Ohka wanted to deal with both Keisuke Ishii & Shigehiro Irie at the same time. Yumehito Imanari didn’t want to feel left out of the anniversary celebration so he stood with Ohka ready to fight. Late in the match Ohka hit Irie with the Fire Spear and left it all to Imanari. Unfortunately Ishii got the upper hand and pinned Imanari with the Tiger Suplex. At the end of the show, Ohka gave a speech saying he believes Ganpro can become just as good as NOAH, DDT, New Japan, WWE and AEW! Ganpro’s Korakuen Hall show on 25th September will be the next stepping stone towards that goal.

For his final singles match Shu Sakurai brought out the big gun. He used the Splash Mountain on Shuichiro Katsumura but was too close to the ropes for the pin to count. Katsumura took advantage of the mistake by trapping Sakurai in a Cross Armbreaker. He then transitioned to the Ninja Choke and held on until Daisuke Kiso stopped the match in his favour. Katsumura was honest after the match and said he was going to win easily. But he was lenient to Sakurai to make the match a bit more enjoyable for everyone. Next time in Korakuen all of THE HALFEE will be together for Sakurai’s send off match. Sakurai reminded everyone this isn’t a retirement match.

Shinichiro Tominaga got one over on Shota by pinning him to win the trios match. Shota reminded him that Miyako Matsumoto is not his tag partner so things will be different at the IJ Tag Team Titles match.

The newcomer YuuRI was put to the test by Cherry. YuuRI focused on using a Sleeper Hold but Cherry figured her game plan out and targeted her opponent’s legs. From there Cherry kept up the pressure and won with the Cherryton Bomb.

Takahiro Katori taunted Nobuhiro Shimatani during their match. He asked if his attacks were weakened because DAMNATION is disbanding? The insults fired up Shimatani into making a comeback and winning the match.

2. 3 Way Match: Hong Kong Domestic Ladies Police Man defeated Hong Kong International Ladies Police Man and Hong Kong International Undercover Mafia when Domestic Ladies Police Man pinned Undercover Mafia with the Spear (8:07).
3. Ganbare☆Pro Wrestling Offer Match: Keisuke Ishii defeated Shinichiro Tominaga with the Tiger Suplex (10:55).
4. Texas Tornado Street Fight Special Mixed Tag Match: Miss Mongol & Yumehito Imanari defeated Cherry & Shota when Mongol pinned Cherry with the Diving Senton onto a chair (13:02).
5. Ganjo Special Tag Match: Yuu Yamagata & HARUKAZE defeated Yuna Manase & Moeka Haruhi when HARUKAZE pinned Manase with the Fire Spear (11:57).

There was good moments and bad moments for Yuna Manase on today’s Ganbare☆Joshi show. The bad moment was losing to HARUKAZE in the main event. Yuu Yamagata cut down Manase with a Buzzsaw Kick and HARUKAZE finished her off with the Fire Spear. This is the first time HARUKAZE has beaten Manase. Yamagata rubbed the result in Manase’s face and said Ganjo only became interesting when she showed up. Yamagata isn’t the wrestler she used to be but she isn’t ever going to let Manase beat her! Moeka Haruhi had to motivate Manase to do her best because that is what Ganbare means. Manase agreed and promised to get stronger, beat Yamagata and return HARUKAZE to Ganjo!

The good news for Manase and Ganjo happened at the start of the show. Manase’s opening speech was interrupted when suddenly YuuRI entered the ring. The former JUST TAP OUT wrestler surprised everyone even further when she announced that as of today she is now signed to Ganbare☆Pro! Manase didn’t know about this but is happy to have a new companion in Ganjo. They agreed to an impromptu match which Manase won. She told YuuRI afterwards to never give up on Ganbare☆Joshi. Backstage YuuRI explained why she signed with Ganpro instead of another company that fans were expecting she would go to. She is the only woman in Ganpro who is under 30 and she wants to freshen up the promotion while also showing her strength.

Both Makoto and Itsuki Aoki were unable to be at the show so they were replaced with Hong Kong Domestic Ladies Police Man and Hong Kong International Ladies Police Man. The Hong Kong International Police Man that was replacing Choun-Shiryu turned out to be crooked. His true identity is Hong Kong International Undercover Mafia. He may have attempted a hit on Ken Ohka. He definitely paid off the referee in a failed attempt to win.

1. Hikari Noa defeated Kaya Toribami with the Blizzard Suplex (8:06).
2. 3 Way Match: Yuki Kamifuku defeated Miu Watanabe and Arisu Endo when Kamifuku pinned Endo with a Crucifix Pin (7:17).
3. Shoko Nakajima, Raku & Moka Miyamoto defeated Mirai Maiumi, Suzume & Haruna Neko when Nakajima pinned Neko with an Inverted Hurricanrana (13:29).
4. Hyper Misao, Nao Kakuta & Nodoka Tenma defeated Yuka Sakazaki, Mizuki & Pom Harajuku when Tenma pinned Harajuku with the Backflip (12:16).
5. Yuki Aino & Marika Kobashi defeated Miyu Yamashita & Maki Itoh when Aino pinned Yamashita with the UBV (Infinite Love And Flame) (14:11).

The main event did not go the way 121000000 expected. Miyu Yamashita & Maki Itoh had no trouble working together but they ended up losing. Yamashita was about to give Yuki Aino the Attitude Adjustment when Marika Kobashi kicked out her leg. Kobashi then got rid of Itoh to give Aino the shot at victory. Aino avoided the Skull Kick and surprised everyone by pinning Yamashita with the UBV!

Itoh couldn’t believe it. She’s done so much to catch up to Yamashita only to see her lose before their big title match? Itoh wants to beat Yamashita at her best but now it’s being ruined by this weaker version that showed up today. Itoh left the ring crying and Yamashita followed feeling shame. Backstage Yamashita said she wants a singles match against Aino to put things right. Meanwhile back in the ring Arai said the important thing to take from today’s man even is she and Kobashi won! Kobashi agreed and told the fans there is more to Tokyo Joshi Pro than just Yamashita and Itoh. Those two are the only people featured on the “WRESTLE PRINCESS II” poster but Aino & Kobashi wants the fans to come see the show for everyone else too.

Mirai Maiumi had her final match in TJPW. She wore a custom T-shirt with the message “I’m Not Saying Goodbye! Thank You All!! No Stereotype!” written on it along with today’s date. After the match Maiumi got to shake hands with the other wrestlers. She hugged Suzume and got a pat on the head from Shoko Nakajima. Backstage Maiumi said this isn’t goodbye because her story as a pro wrestler will continue. She is grateful to everyone who supported her so far. She also got said something private to Suzume. She’ll leave it up to the fans to imagine what she told her.

Rika Tatsumi was absent from the show due to illness. Her tag match was turned into a 3 Way Match with the remaining participants.
