1. Ganpro’s Three Major Singles Match: Keisuke Ishii defeated Takahiro Katori with the Double Arm Neck Lock (7:34).
2. Ken Ohka, Shinichiro Tominaga & HARUKAZE defeated Yuna Manase, Shu Sakurai & SAGAT when Ohka pinned Sakurai with the Flame Spear (13:32).
3. Ganpro’s Three Major Singles Match: Shigehiro Irie defeated Shota with a Samson Clutch Rollback (14:58).
4. Miyako Close Call! Special 3 Way Match: Miyako Matsumoto defeated Shuichiro Katsumura and Tanomusaku Toba when Matsumoto double pinned Katsumura and Toba (7:35).
5. Ganpro’s Three Major Singles Match: Kouki Iwasaki defeated Yumehito Imanari with the Back Drop Hold (17:24).

The main event was given to Yumehito Imanari and Kouki Iwasaki in a battle of different wrestling philosophies. Iwasaki called Imanari a one of a kind character he really envies. But there are always some things in pro wrestling that should never be forgotten. Iwasaki thinks strength and technique should be most important and wrestlers who only imitate others cannot make it to the top of Ganbare☆Pro. With that said, Iwasaki told Imanari if he fights like he did today, it will resonate with him more. The two hugged and Iwasaki said he wants another brotherly fight against Imanari in the future.

Moeka Haruhi had to be pulled off the show in short notice because she found out she was recently in close contact with someone who has Covid-19. The mixed tag match was turned into a 3 Way. Miyako Matsumoto stole the win when Shuichiro Katsumura and Tanomusaku Toba knocked each other down and she jumped on top of both of them for the double pin. Afterwards Katsumura told Ganpro to get a real team of opponents as a reward next time. Also now that Shu Sakurai is back, THE HALFEE want to fight for championships again.

At the end of the show, Ken Ohka said he wants to do a special match somewhere for his upcoming 20th anniversary in wrestling.

1. Mirai Maiumi & Suzume defeated Shoko Nakajima & Kaya Toribami when Suzume pinned Toribami with the Ring A Bell (11:37).
2. Nodoka Tenam & Raku defeated Hyper Misao & Haruna Neko when Raku pinned Neko with the Doctor Yellow (9:11).
3. Yuki Kamifuku & Nao Kakuta defeated Hikari Noa & Arisu Endo when Kakuta pinned Endo with the Shiden Kai (12:22).
4. Sakisama & Mei Saint-Michel defeated Marika Kobashi & Mahiro Kiryu when Saint-Michel pinned Kiryu after the Tarte Tatin (10:51).
5. Mizuki, Rika Tatsumi & Miu Watanabe defeated Shoko Nakajima, Maki Itoh & Moka Miyamoto when Mizuki pinned Miyamoto with the Cutie Special (18:57).

Today’s show was the second time Tokyo Joshi Pro performed in front of a women only audience. Mizuki admitted feeling a little shy wrestling in front of them because the atmosphere felt different. Rika Tatsumi credited the power of love for their team winning today, although Mizuki found it a little difficult to gel with Daydream. Some of the other wrestlers like Maki Itoh and Moka Miyamoto said the atmosphere felt warm and made them happy.

All of the wrestlers got to speak to introduce themselves and speak to the audience at the start of the show. Mei Saint-Michel expressed her concern that Sakisama was feeling homesick because she has not been in a good mood lately. After NEO Biishiki-gun won their match, Sakisama explained she isn’t homesick at all. In fact, she was only acting upset as a test to see how hard Saint-Michel would work for her. She cheered her up when she told her how much the fans were happy with her performance today. They then revealed their next TJPW appearance will be at the two Korakuen Hall shows on 14th & 15th August.

Shoko Nakajima worked in both the opener and main event to make up the numbers.

There are only three matches but Manase, HARUKAZE and Moeka Haruhi will have a lot to do. They will be involved with non-wrestling activities inbetween the matches. Ever since Kuro-chan pinned Atsushi Onita in a Current Explosion Death Match last December, he has avoided all of Onita’s calls for a rematch. Sanshiro Takagi needed to find wrestlers for the “WRESTLE PETER PAN” pre-show explosion match and felt it is the perfect time and place for that rematch to happen. Kuro-chan himself doesn’t want to do it but his manager signed the agreement for him along with Super Sasadango Machine to do the match. Sasadango told Kuro-chan that Hikari Noa thinks he is cute and wants to team with him so he agreed to take part. The truth is Noa wants to fight in a deathmatch and will team with anybody to do so. She also threatened to blow up Takagi. Kuro-chan also gets Tetsuhiro Kuroda on his team. Onita’s partners will be Takagi, Akito & Maki Itoh. Everyone is also being warned that the amount of gunpowder being used for the explosions will be 3 to 5 times higher than usual.

A lot of time was spent by Chris Brookes thinking up the stipulation for the double title match against Shinya Aoki. He decided on No DQs and also No Submission rules. Moves that are normally illegal are allowed but almost all kinds of submission holds will be banned. The only kinds that can be used are holds the referee will deem too dangerous to use in normal matches. Aoki complained about the rules but Brookes explained that he also is at a disadvantage because he cannot use the Octopus Hold. Therefore they will be on equal footing. Aoki thinks the rules will create the worst wrestling match of the century. Brookes disagrees. His felt his title defence against Saki Akai brought new aspects to her wrestling game. So from now on he is using his DDT Extreme Title matches to show new sides of his opponents that no one has ever seen before. Aoki had no choice but to accept the stipulation. He had to be reminded that his Choke Holds won’t be allowed either.

Seiya Morohashi? Boy it’s been years since he was last in DDT. I mean yeah there was an appearance on a Masahiro Takanashi booked show in 2019 but other than that his last DDT match was in 2016.

Of course Shunma Katsumata’s idea for his slot is to put all of The 37KAMIINA into a hardcore match.

Konosuke Takeshita says everything is in order for him to become the KO-D Openweight Champion again. His King Of DDT victory showed he now has the physical ability, mental attributes, luck and momentum to be the top wrestler in DDT. He has lost two singles matches to Akiyama that both took place last winter. It was up to Takeshita to fix his own problems and it began with his appearances in AEW back in April. As a result of his own actions over the last three months, Takeshita is now confident to fight Akiyama to see who is best. Even though Akiyama is well accepted into the DDT family at this point, Takeshita is still going to treat him as the enemy.

As if having Atsushi Onita isn’t enough to keep the hardcore flavour around, Jun Kasai will be on the show too. Katsumata and Brookes have a little bit of tag history with him. MAO fought him in a Hardcore match a few years ago too.

The UWF Rules being used is a 20 minute time limit that can end by Knockout, Submission, Referee Stoppage or a 5 Point TKO. Points are lost by knock downs and rope breaks. Wrestlers cannot be attacked during the knockdown count. Headbutts, elbow strikes, closed fist punches to the face and hitting below the belt are all prohibited. Wrestlers will be given two warnings for breaking those rules and will be disqualified if it’s done a third time.

This is Yuka Sakazaki’s final match in Japan before her excursion to AEW next month.

Moka Miyamoto and Arisu Endo are both fighting for their first singles victory.

6. 1st Ganpro Mixed Tag Tournament – Final: Shuichiro Katsumura & Moeka Haruhi defeated Keisuke Ishii & HARUKAZE when Haruhi pinned HARUKAZE with the Diving Foot Stomp (18:25).

After all the rumours going around backstage, the reward for winning the Mixed Tag Tournament is not a new championship or prize money. Instead, Shuichiro Katsumura & Moeka Haruhi will get a match on 11th July against an “super super special” tag team that will be revealed tomorrow. Katsumura said he wants THE HALFEE to wait for Shu Sakurai’s return from injury so all three of them can fight for a championship together again. He also said only 13% of fans thought they were going to win the tournament in a poll so the other 83% should buy their T-shirt as an apology. Haruhi said she is still proud to create history as the first Ganpro Mixed Tag Tournament winner. She wants to make more history and be seen on equal footing to the men.

As a result of their defeat, Keisuke Ishii & HARUKAZE will no longer team together. They did this before when they lost the GWC 6-Man Tag Team Titles with Kouki Iwasaki. HARUKAZE doesn’t want to break up the team because she finally got a tag partner. Ishii told her that today’s regrets will make her stronger and they will meet again some day.

Shinjiro Otani is quickly becoming a wanted man in Ganpro. He has both Shigehiro Irie and Kouki Iwasaki demanding singles matches against him. Irie wants it to be at the Fire Festival which caused Otani to give him the Fire Festival sword pose. When they Irie & Iwasaki left, Otani praised Nobuhiro Shimatani for a good performance. Otani later spoke good things about Ganpro for how exciting the card and the wrestlers were today. He is sure there are some people who are annoyed that he’s there but he is just as much appearing on these shows to improve himself as he is to improve his opponents.

The Hardcore 4 Way Match ended quickly when Miyako Matsumoto attacked everyone with a barbed wire bat until Miss Mongol knocked her down with a Lariat and pinned her. Matsumoto then successfully appealed for the match to restart. The second match was a lot more chaotic. Itsuki Aoki put Shota through a table. Matsumoto was wheeled into a stack of chairs. She was also thrown off the top of a ladder onto Ken Ohka outside the ring. Mongol got the win with the Lariat again but this time it was to Shota for the three count.

The Jacket Match took on a new meaning when Ohka entered the ring wearing a suit and tie. Cherry, who was dressed in her judo outfit got angry and turned the bout into even more of a grudge match. As the match got more heated, both Ohka and Cherry removed their jackets to reveal they were wearing tanktops underneath. Cherry then used her blue belt to choke Ohka and hang him over the ropes. The bell rang but it was then announced that Cherry was disqualified. Ohka asked if Cherry was angry because they lost in the 1st Round of the Mixed Tag Tournament. He explained that if Katsumura & Haruhi go on to win the tournament then that means Ohka & Cherry are 2nd place by default (I guess the logic is from losing to the eventual champions). Cherry believed him and agreed to support Katsumura & Haruhi.

Yumehito Imanari isn’t letting today’s semi-final loss get him down. His MMA namesake Masakazu Imanari also lost today at the RIZIN show. He believes both of them are making “Imanari” the new trend in mixed martial arts!

It looks like The Weekend Lovers are hitting a rough patch. Shinichiro Tominaga told Asuka that when the weekend is over you should look forward to the next weekend. Asuka glared at him and left without saying a word.

Yuna Manase stormed the ring after the match angry at the fact that there is not another Ganbare☆Joshi show until August. She begged Ohka to let her put together a Ganjo show next month. He promised her she can do it.

1. Rika Tatsumi & Miu Watanabe defeated Nao Kakuta & Kaya Toribami when Watanabe pinned Toribami with the Tear Drop (10:50).
2. 3 Way Match: Yuka Sakazaki defeated Nodoka Tenma and Haruna Neko when Sakazaki pinned Neko with the Magical Merry-Go-Round (8:38).
3. Shoko Nakajima, Mizuki & Hyper Misao defeated Yuki Kamifuku, Yuki Aino & Pom Harajuku when Mizuki pinned Harajuku with the Diving Foot Stomp (10:32).
4. Marika Kobashi & Raku defeated Hikari Noa & Mahiro Kiryu when Raku pinned Kiryu with the Doctor Yellow (10:22).
5. Miyu Yamashita, Maki Itoh & Moka Miyamoto defeated Mirai Maiumi, Suzume & Arisu Endo when Yamashita pinned Endo with the Skull Kick (17:01).

Today’s main event was a preview of the Miyu Yamashita Vs Mirai Maiumi UWF Rules match taking place next Thursday. The two of them started off the match with grappling and striking before it moved into the usual tag team wrestling. After the match Yamashita said she thinks Tokyo Joshi Pro is currently riding on an insane amount of momentum and there is not limit for them in the future.

Before Match #3 began, Hyper Misao asked Mizuki to do a superhero pose. She then gave Mizuki her superhero cape for good luck because according to today’s horoscope, Pisces was the lowest among the different signs. Mizuki tried mimicking the hero moves while Misao instructed her how to do them. It took her too long so she missed every time. Her opponents would also pull the cape over her face to blind her. Mizuki got her revenge by getting all of the wrestlers to pile up on each other. She then removed the cloak and hit a Diving Foot Stomp onto the pile of bodies before getting the pinfall.

Sayuri Namba was absent from the show because she was a ring girl at a RIZIN MMA show in Osaka. Yuki Aino filled in as the ring announcer.

The first ever all Up Up Girls championship match is here! Hikari Noa puts the International Princess Title on the line against Raku after Raku pinned her on today’s show. Raku used a new Cross-Arm Backslide move that she has since named the Hurricane Turn. Noa wanted the match to take place in Ryogoku KFC Hall so she can get her win back in the same place.

Yuki Arai will be on the show. She is eager to win her first match but her four losses so far are already disappointing her.

Tomorrow is Miyu Yamashita’s chance to become the first Double Princess Champion in TJPW history. She was briefly a double champion in 2019 when she held the Princess Of Princess Title and SHINE Title at the same time. But Sakisama has been one of her impossible mountains to climb for almost her entire career. It was only recently she made some progress on that thanks to teaming with Maki Itoh this year. Targeting Mei Saint-Michel may be the right plan to win. If the champions win though and it’s Sakisama standing on top, everything is in place for her to do something she has never done before. Maybe Yamashita won’t be the first Double Princess Champion after all…

This week Yusuke Okada and Hisaya Imabayashi went to visit Kiyoshi Hayashishita’s steak restaurant for a meal. They noticed something was odd when they were only given sausages no matter what they ordered. Okada confronted the chef only to find out it was Danshoku Dieno in disguise! Okada then discovered that his friend Hayashishita was trapped in the restroom with a big, thick sausage in his mouth. Okada freed him and they chased Dieno out of the restaurant. The final straw came when they found Dieno changed the restaurant sign, renaming the restaurant into something vulgar. Hayashishita said he is usually a forgiving man but he will not stand for this! He gave Okada an inspiring speech and encouraged him to beat Dieno at Korakuen Hall. Okada vowed to win for Big Daddy!

THE HALFEE Loses GWC 6-Man Tag Titles

Mostly everybody who was eliminated in Round 1 will still be wrestling on the show. Shinjiro Otani will be competing too after Yumehito Imanari asked him to help Ganbare☆Pro grow to the next level.

Yesterday THE HALFEE defended the GWC 6-Man Tag Team Titles at a TTT show in Shinjuku FACE. They lost the title match to the combination of Guts Ishijima & Speed Of Sounds (together they are called Guts Of Sounds). To be fair the championships originally belonged to Ishijima back when Guts World was around so it is only fitting that he eventually got them back for his current promotion. He straight up claims the belts are his family heirlooms. However, Ken Ohka was in attendance to support THE HALFEE and he challenged the new champions for the belts next month. Ishijima accepted and later said he wants to seal the championship after he clears out Ohka’s team.

So for now Ganpro no longer has any championships they can use for title matches on their own shows. That might not last long because some of the wrestlers in the Ganpro Mixed Tag Tournament heard rumours of a brand new Mixed Tag Team Championship being rewarded to the winners. I mean it is about time that Ganpro has a championship to call its own. A Mixed Tag Title would clearly stand out on the indies scene over there.
