Shin-Kiba 1st RING

1. Maji Manji Tournament – Round 1: Makoto Oishi Vs Maki Itoh
2. Maji Manji Tournament – Round 1: Yuki Ueno Vs Lady Beard
3. Maji Manji Tournament – Round 1: MAO Vs Ken Ohka
4. Maji Manji Tournament – Round 1: Shunma Katsumata Vs Kota Umeda

DDT kicks off its new weekly series on AbemaTV with the first round of a tournament to find a new star. The winner of the tournament will be “fully backed up” by AbemaTV for future projects. Each match will have a 5 minute time limit and in the case of a draw the winner will be determined by a viewer vote on the AbemaTV webpage. This is a big project for DDT because the show will be airing at “Golden Time”, the biggest broadcasting time slot of the day. The logo represents that with the golden colour scheme along with the manji logo made to resemble two people wrestling each other, according to Sanshiro Takagi.

Most of the contestants were brought together for a press conference and it almost ended in a fight when Ken Ohka and Maki Itoh argued with each other. Ito later tried to start a fight with Kota Umeda when she caught Umeda laughing at her.

Danshoku Dino also has something planned for the show. He is organising a segment called “Danshoku Souls” with the goal of finding a successor. It does not matter the age, gender or occupation of the person, Dino wants to find the perfect person to transfer his Danshoku Soul to when it is time for him to go away.

Konosuke Takeshita returned to the Osaka building where he attended DDT shows as a child. Although now instead of Danshoku Dino terrorising him it is now Shuji Ishikawa doing it. DAMNATION beat ALL OUT in the main event where Takeshita received more damage to his waist and lower back. With The Great Homo nowhere to be seen, Tetsuya Endo was able to win the match for his team. Ishikawa told Takeshita to come at him with all of his strength at Sumo Hall. In return he will do everything he can to crush him. Daisuke Sasaki reminded Ishikawa that he is banned from singing until Sumo Hall. His karaoke hobby began here back in January and Sasaki hasn’t forgotten the nightmare he got from listening to it. Sasaki complained about Takeshita missing shows because of his injury while DAMNATION doesn’t have any time to rest. DAMNATION has to practice singing karaoke along with Mad Paulie preparing an extraordinary dance routine!

The wave of momentum that Kazusada Higuchi was stopped dead thanks to a HARASHIMA Buzzsaw Kick. The strike knocked Higuchi out but he regained consciousness while HARASHIMA celebrated. Higuchi was so mad over what happened that he attacked HARASHIMA at ringside and threw chairs at him. HARASHIMA escaped into the ring while other wrestlers tried to calm down Higuchi to little effect. HARASHIMA rubbed it in by accepting the match prize from the show sponsor with a big smile on his face.

Mizuki Watase attended the Ganbare☆Wrestling show held earlier in the day and was impressed with the main event where Ken Ohka refused to submit to Magnitude Kishiwada. Inspired by the bout, Watase wanted to wrestle in a Give Up Only Match. If his team lost then he won’t ask for the stipulation again. His idea ended with a bad result when he gave up to a lewd Triangle Choke from Danshoku Dino.

KUDO showed more fire than usual thanks to the recent performances against him by Kota Umeda & Yuki Ueno. Umeda said he finally got a taste of KUDO’s real power today. Ueno said even though he was pinned, he wasn’t burned out. He’ll be ready to win their remaining matches leading up to Sumo Hall.

Sanshiro Takagi and MAO continued to fight each other during the Falls Count Anywhere 8-Man Tag. Takagi also tried to set off another Anal Explosion in Nobuhiro Shimatani but MAO stopped him. Chinsuke Nakamura made his entrance up on the balcony but found his way to the ring eventually. Takagi dragged Shimatani over to a table by the stage entrance. He then climbed the entrance gate and dove onto Shimatani, putting him through the table to win the match.

Ethan Page attacked Naomi Yoshimura with a High Kick and a Big Boot after the 4 Way Match.

Shortly after the show ended there were a couple of Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title changes in the venue. The belt went from Soma Takao to Kazuki Hirata to Yuni to Makoto Oishi. Mizuki Watase tried to get the belt but Oishi escaped.

7a. Replay: Konosuke Takeshita, Akito & Shunma Katsumata defeated Shuji Ishikawa, Tetsuya Endo & Mad Paulie when Takeshita pinned Paulie with a Lariat (7:46).

It was an eventful week for Konosuke Takeshita. A few days ago he graduated from university and today was his first match back from a minor back injury. Unfortunately Shuji Ishikawa was there ready and waiting to make his comeback a painful one. Ishikawa’s plan is simple. Injure Takeshita so badly that he cannot make it to Sumo Hall. Then Ishikawa will become the KO-D Openweight Champion by default and instead of a match at “JUDGEMENT 2018” he can sing and dance with Mad Paulie for an hour to close out the show. DAMNATION attacked ALL OUT to start the main event and Ishikawa kept attacking Takeshita with a chair until the referee disqualified him. Akito & Shunma Katsumata pulled Ishikawa away but were knocked back by his Double Shoulder Block. When Ishikawa turned around, Takeshita was there to Clothesline him out of the ring. The match restarted as a 6-Man Tag bout with Katsumata & Tetsuya Endo added in. Takeshita’s waist took a lot of damage throughout but he gutted it through and beat Mad Paulie with a Lariat. Takeshita said his body is in a lot of bad places right now but his heart isn’t broken. It is thanks to ALL OUT and the cheers of his fans that he still stands.

If you get hit by the Somato enough times you will eventually figure out a way to counter it. That’s the eureka moment Kazusada Higuchi discovered today. He avoided the move and caught HARASHIMA in a Japanese Leg Roll Clutch for the unexpected pinfall victory. Higuchi told HARASHIMA the battle will continue in Osaka tomorrow and he will beat him there too. Then at Sumo Hall he will win the KO-D Tag Team Titles from HARASHIMA & Naomichi Marufuji to stand tall in the centre of DDT!

Tetsuya Endo’s confrontation with The Great Homo was chaotic. Homo dragged Endo under the ring then he chased him around ringside. Endo tried to fight him off with his high impact moves but couldn’t succeed. Homo brought a chair into the ring and hit the Shining Ateji while Endo was sitting on it. Homo then drank milk to power up the Lip Lock but Endo gave him the Lip Lock instead! The effects didn’t last and Homo applied the Lip Lock back to Endo, sending him bumping into the referee. The match was stopped and no winner was determined. Homo continued to attack Endo and also Mizuki Watase when Watase tried to stop him. Homo pulled down the back of Watase’s shorts and spat the milk mist at him. That was when the room went dark and Nerima Sting appeared! Nerima Sting attacked Homo with the black bat and gave him the Scorpion Death Drop. He then pulled Homo out of the ring and dragged him out of the building.

The DNA team showed no fear against Shuten-dōji and attacked them from the bell. Tomomitsu Matsunaga was the obvious odd man out in the Shuten-dōji. His presence in the match was ironic given that Masahiro Takanashi previously said the DNA team should be calling themselves Pigging 2018. Umeda pinned Matsunaga but the action didn’t end after the match. A staredown between the two was interrupted by a Yukio Sakaguchi Dropkick to Umeda and Yuki Ueno from out of nowhere. A brawl between the two sides began and ended with another staredown.

The Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title was back at a DDT show for Super Sasadango Machine’s latest defence. During his time away from shows, Sasadango lost and won back the belt twice. Once to a food employee and another to the singer Kaede from the music group Negicco. Today the belt was on the line in a special Royal Rumble where the wrestlers were entered in order of their age. The wrestlers in their 20’s began the match, then the wrestlers in their 30’s entered next, then the wrestlers in their 40’s. Saki Akai didn’t like being put in the 30’s group but she had to because she turned 30 back in January. MAO was the last man standing and he pinned Sasadango to become the new champion. But his celebration was short lived when Sanshiro Takagi gave him a School Boy and won the belt. He told MAO he will blow him up at Sumo Hall but he was then Super Kicked by Soma Takao. Takao Cradled Takagi into a Small Package for the three count. Takao then admitted he isn’t that interested in being the Iron Man Champion. But he is looking forward to teaming with Yuko Miyamoto for the Sumo Hall Falls Count Anywhere Match!

There was no love lost between Keisuke Ishii and Daisuke Sasaki in their match. Sasaki ambushed Ishii and attacked him with a chair but Ishii later evened the odds by giving Sasaki a Fisherman Buster onto the ring apron. Sasaki knocked over the referee to avoid the Tiger Suplex and went to get a chair. Ishii was rescued by The Great Homo who came out from beneath the ring. Homo blinded Sasaki with the Milk Mist and hit him with the Shining Ateji. Ishii grabbed Sasaki and hit the Double Arm DDT as the referee recovered to get the win.

Ethan Page and Antonio Honda are teaming together to enter the Tag Gauntlet Match at “JUDGEMENT 2018”. Page wants to fight Naomi Yoshimura in the match to prove he is stronger than him.

6. HARASHIMA & Keisuke Ishii defeated Kazusada Higuchi & Mizuki Watase when Ishii pinned Watase with the High Angle Double Arm DDT (11:55).
7. ALL OUT Vs DAMNATION!: Daisuke Sasaki, Shuji Ishikawa & Tetsuya Endo defeated Konosuke Takeshita, Akito & Shunma Katsumata when Ishikawa pinned Katsumata with the Splash Mountain (15:14).

Konosuke Takeshita went into the main event with his lower back taped up. Whatever condition he was in was made worse by DAMNATION focusing on his back including chair attacks from Shuji Ishikawa outside the ring. The Great Homo interfered in the match and dragged Tetsuya Endo away from the ring, leaving DAMNATION one man short. However Takeshita’s injury levelled the playing field and Ishikawa pinned Shunma Katsumata with the Splash Mountain. Ishikawa told Takeshita that there are only 23 days left to look forward to until he wins the KO-D Openweight Title and sings songs at Sumo Hall. Takeshita left Akito alone in the ring to give the show closing speech. When Akito was finished, Endo returned with The Great Homo chasing after him. Endo escaped when Homo missed a Moonsault and fled with Daisuke Sasaki. Homo caught up with Endo backstage and attacked him again.

HARASHIMA and Kazusada Higuchi got into a fight after their match. In the backstage interview HARASHIMA said he doesn’t like to get into conflict after the bell rings and the match ends but today his bad feelings against Higuchi were too strong to ignore. He’ll have to keep fighting Higuchi even if it causes more trouble. He even said he will do it again because Higuchi’s attacks in the fight didn’t hurt. Higuchi said he doesn’t want to lose his singles match against HARASHIMA on 11th March after he already lost to Naomichi Marufuji.

The Falls Count Anywhere Rule included two stipulations. The wrestlers weren’t allowed to leave Shin-Kiba 1st RING because of maintenance that was taking place next to it. Also they weren’t allowed to do anything that would make the venue manager Mr. Sato mad. Chinsuke Nakamura appeared out of character as Takuya Hanazawa and explained that he was too busy working the maintenance shift outside to participate. Sanshiro Takagi attacked him to start the match. Hanazawa disappeared while the other four brawled around the venue. The shutter gates opened up to show that Chinsuke was here after all! The match moved out to the parking lot which was still considered part of the venue. Kyoko Kimura was there and she got involved in the fighting. MAO did a Moonsault off of a van onto everyone then drove the van into Takagi, bouncing him back into ringside. MAO pinned Takagi and won the match but Yukinori Matsui was not happy with MAO’s method of victory. MAO threatened to blow up 1st RING with fireworks but that made Mr. Sato angry. MAO apologised and the show went into intermission.

Danshoku Dino took out a carton of milk from underneath the ring so he could power up the Lip Lock for Mad Paulie. They fought over the carton and it was spilled when Paulie gave Dino a Lou Thesz Press. Dino took out another carton, drank from it and gave Paulie the Lip Lock with his mouth filled with milk. Paulie spat the milk out and collapsed, making it an easy pin for Dino.

In his DDT debut, Canadian powerhouse Ethan Page beat Kouki Iwasaki with the RKEgo followed by a swinging Rock Bottom called the Spinning Dwayne. After the match Page told the audience this was his very first time in Japan and he didn’t know what to expect. When he went to a restaurant and ate some fried chicken before the show, he realised that he loves Japan!

Kota Umeda fared well in his first match against Shuten-dōji since leaving the group. He almost had Masahiro Takanashi beaten but the Umeda Driver was countered into the Bacchus to give Takanashi a close victory. Yuki Ueno doesn’t know if a month is long enough for his team to prepare for their KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles Match but they will fight for DNA. Takanashi joked that Umeda’s new team should be called Booing 2018. He also told Umeda he can’t drink alcohol with them again unless he returns to Shuten-dōji with his head down.

Even though he was supposed to be impartial, Toru Owashi mostly helped out Makoto Oishi when he fought Kazuki Hirata. Oishi beat Hirata after he encouraged a dance battle between the two. Owashi asked Oishi to join T2Hide afterwards since Takagi has been unable to dedicate all of his attention to the unit since the CyberAgent sale. Hirata also encouraged Oishi to join. However Oishi told them he doesn’t want the unit to be called T2Hide, he doesn’t want to dance and he doesn’t want to team with a pig. He’ll consider it and get back to them in two days time at the Fuji show. Oishi ignored their handshakes and left them hanging.

Konosuke Takeshita, Soma Takao & Shunma Katsumata Vs KUDO, Akito & MAO is the main event of Saki Akai’s “DDT COLLECTION” show on 14th March. Akai has invited a stylist from Oscar Promotion to do the hair, makeup and also provide costumes for the main eventers on the day.

6. Special Single Match: Naomichi Marufuji defeated Kazusada Higuchi with the Ko-oh (13:02).
7. Special Tag Match: Shuji Ishikawa & Daisuke Sekimoto defeated Konosuke Takeshita & HARASHIMA when Ishikawa pinned Takeshita with the Splash Mountain (18:04).

With exactly one month to go until “JUDGEMENT 2018” at Sumo Hall, some big preview matches were put together for Korakuen Hall. In the main event the KO-D Openweight Champion fought alongside one of the KO-D Tag Team Champions against some of their challengers. Konosuke Takeshita, HARASHIMA, Shuji Ishikawa and Daisuke Sekimoto fought back and forth until the match went down to just Takeshita and Ishikawa inside the ring. HARASHIMA and Sekimoto still got involved to break the pins but other than that they focused on fighting each other outside. Ishikawa used the Kamigoe to great effect and hit move after move on Takeshita until the Splash Mountain kept him down for the three count.

After the match Ishikawa told Takeshita he was certainly strong but the result of their match at Sumo Hall will be the same as it was today. He then asked Daisuke Sasaki if he could sing today. He knows both he and Mad Paulie are prohibited from karaoke and dancing celebrations until Sumo Hall but he did just pin the KO-D Champion. Surely that is worth a song. Sasaki refused until Sekimoto threatened him. Sekimoto wants to sing too! Together, Ishikawa and Sekimoto sang “Tonbo” in a duet while Paulie played the air guitar while wearing sunglasses.

The other KO-D Tag Team Title preview saw Naomichi Marufuji defeat Kazusada Higuchi. Higuchi was worn down by Marufuji’s chops and different kicks while his own moves weren’t enough to keep Marufuji down for long. Marufuji said Higuchi has grown better since than the last time they fought but it takes more than youth and momentum to succeed. Marufuji is in too deep for Higuchi to beat him! Higuchi says he is learning from these matches and now understands what he is missing. From now until Sumo Hall, Higuchi & Sekimoto will think about what they need to do to win the KO-D Tag Team Titles.

There were plenty of weapons placed around ringside for the DDT Extreme Title match but two items in particular were the most important. The Hardcore +α Match allowed both Yuko Miyamoto and Shunma Katsumata to choose an extra weapon each. Miyamoto chose a barbed wire bat and Katsumata chose a box full of thumbtacks! The two also fought with tables, ladders, chairs and bamboo swords. Katsumata poured out the thumbtacks but he was the first to taste them when he missed a Moonsault and was then given the Fire Thunder. Katsumata kicked out and later slammed Miyamoto onto the thumbtacks with the ¡Hasta La Vista!. Miyamoto kicked out of that. Miyamoto hit another Fire Thunder and this time got the victory with the Moonsault. Backstage Miyamoto said how surprised he was by Katsumata’s performance. He was expecing an idol performance first and he still wasn’t convinced when the thumbtacks came out. It was only when Katsumata started using the weapons that Miyamoto realised he was really bringing it to him. Katsumata thinks the experience opened something new inside him. He is no longer scared of deathmatches and has a new respect for deathmatch fighters. He hopes he can use what he learned here to do more with ALL OUT.

NEO Biishiki-gun were invited out halfway through the show to reveal their third member for the Tokyo Joshi Pro Offer Match at Sumo Hall. Saki-sama & Azusa Christie came out to introduce their newest member but Miyu Yamashita & Maki Itoh were also there to see who it was. The mystery person came out and it was a woman in a dress hiding her face behind a teddy bear. Christie introduced her as Saki-sama’s old childhood friend. She shyly greeted the audience while still hiding behind the bear. Itoh had enough and she shouted at the woman about her appearance until the teddy was lowered. The mystery woman is Yoshiko-sama! She attacked Itoh with the bear and dropped on her with a Senton. Yamashita pulled Itoh out of the ring and had to drag her away. The teddy bear is named Charlotte by the way.

The BASARA team were in sync for most of the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles bout. At one point Ryuichi Sekine, Ryota Nakatsu & Fuminori Abe had a Shuten-dōji wrestler all trapped in submissions move at the same time. Nakatsu came close to pinning Yukio Sakaguchi with a German Suplex. But the champions retained when Sakaguchi countered the V Slider into a Triangle Kimura Hold.

Shuten-dōji were grateful in victory but now they faced a problem. They want to fight the best trio in DDT at Sumo Hall but they are the best trio so they have no opponents. Much to their surprise Yuki Ueno and Koju Takeda both entered the ring. Ueno asked if they could get the title shot at Sumo Hall. Masahiro Takanashi couldn’t believe what he was hearing from the rookie and said it was impossible. Then in a bigger surprise, Kota Umeda offered to be on their team! Sakaguchi was fine with the idea but he told Umeda he would have to leave Shuten-dōji for the time being. Umeda was willing to do that. He later explained that by being fourth man in Shuten-dōji, he was always left out of the 6-Man Tag Title matches unless one of the other three were injured. He also created a respectful bond with Ueno from their matches together since coming back from injury. By leaving Shuten-dōji to team with Ueno & Takeda he is now free to challenge for the championships at Sumo Hall.

Daisuke Sasaki blinded Keisuke Ishii with the Mist then made Ken Ohka tap to the Cross Facelock. Sasaki & Tetsuya Endo’s victory was cut short when the room went dark. The Great Homo appeared and spat Milk Mist at both of the DAMNATION wrestlers! He then pressed a metal spike into Endo’s backside and gave him the Danshoku Driver. The Great Homo made his exit by spitting Milk Mist at the audience.

For the Infomercial Match, Danshoku Dino was fitted with health sensors that displayed his hit points on the Korakuen video screen. With this technology we were able to learn what moves were effective against Dino (Antonio Honda’s strikes) and how Dino was able to recover lost hit points (doing Danshoku things to Akito). Dino was eventually brought down to 0 HP but everyone discovered that at 0 HP, Dino goes into a panic state. In this state Dino attacked everyone with Lip Locks. Dino won the match and told the sponsor that there is something about pro wrestling that cannot be measured by numbers. He then kissed the sponsor.

Congratulations to Sanshiro Takagi & Super Sasadango Machine for being the first team to copy the new Golden Lovers moveset. They attempted the Croyt’s Wrath/High Kick combo on Makoto Oishi. It kind of worked. Then they used the Golden☆Trigger, which did work. All of their progress was for nothing as MAO immediately pinned Takagi with the Cannonball 450 afterwards to win the Tag Rumble for himself and Soma Takao.

When the Tag Rumble was over, MAO said he will be entering the Falls Count Anywhere In Ryogoku tag match with Mike Bailey. He said now is the time for Street Wrestling to be taken over by the new generation. Soma Takao also announced he will be part of the match with Yuko Miyamoto as his partner. They will be representing Smile Squash. Takagi accepted the entries but then the room went dark. A video played of Michael Nakazawa announcing his entry into the match! His partner is a friend from “New York” and he is in Korakuen tonight. “Rising Sun” played over the speakers and Chinsuke Nakamura came out! Takagi attacked Nakamura mid-entrance but got the Kinsasha for his troubles. Chinsuke threw Takagi over the top rope and out of the ring, then pointed to the RyogokuMania sign that suddenly appeared on one of the balconies. One last team announced their entry later in the show. Fuminori Abe called Isami Kodaka on the phone while standing in the ring to confirm they will be part of the match.

Mad Paulie’s size and weight was too large for Tomomitsu Matsunaga to handle. Matsunaga couldn’t lift Paulie with the Back Drop or a Power Bomb. Paulie was able to stop Matsunaga with a Lou Thesz Press then pinned him with the Paulie Buster.

Gota Ihashi continues his path of redemption with a new five match series beginning in April. His first opponent is Koji Kanemoto on 1st April. Ken Ohka explained that Ihashi is wrestling to the best of his abilities but that alone is not getting results. Ihashi has to face wrestlers on the level of Kanemoto if he wants to become good enough to appease Riki Choshu.

Saki Akai revealed three new pieces of information about her “DDT COLLECTION” show at Shinjuku FACE on 15th March. First, Aja Kong will be on the card. Second, there will be a 6 Way Match between Yuko Miyamoto, Ryota Nakatsu, Naomi Yoshimura, Yukio Sakaguchi, Nobuhiro Shimatani and Yoshiko. Last but not least, NEO Biishiki-gun will face T2HiJoshi in a special trios match.

DDT is collaborating with Koei Tecmo for the upcoming horse racing video game “Winning Post 8 2018”. The game will feature two race horses named after Danshoku Dino and Konosuke Takeshita.

The DDT Video Team confirmed their own produced event “BETAMANIA” will be held in Shin-Kiba 1st RING on 23rd April. The video team is made up of Yumehito Imanari, DT-YUTA and Ryohei Fukuda. All three will participate in a match on the show.

7. DNA Corps Vs Naomi Kingdom Full Confrontation Single Third Match: Kota Umeda defeated Naomi Yoshimura with the Umeda Driver (14:42).

Today’s show was headlined by a three match series between DNA and the Naomi Kingdom. In the first match Akira Jo beat MAO with a Low Blow and the Cross Rhodes. DNA evened the score when Kouki Iwasaki out-struck Keisuke Okuda and pinned him with the Vertical Drop Brainbuster. Okuda swore after the match that he would kill Iwasaki and get revenge. In the deciding contest, Kota Umeda beat Naomi Yoshimura. Umeda avoided the Throwaway Power Bomb and hit the Umeda Driver to win and end the series with a 2-1 victory for DNA! Umeda told all of the Naomi Kingdom they could face him one on one again any time. A tired Yoshimura whispered something into Jo’s ear to say to Umeda but Jo cackled into the microphone instead. Yoshimura took back the microphone and said he will see Umeda at the DNA Tag Team tournament that will begin next month.

Both Shunma Katsumata & Mizuki Watase were put in Anklelocks by the Junior Stars in the finish to their match. Watase hasn’t had enough of Koji Kanemoto though, he wants another match against him. Kanemoto beat him back in July last year but even back then Watase told Kanemoto he would take as many tries necessary to beat him before he retires. Kanemoto smiled at the idea but Watase then gave the same challenge to Minoru Tanaka because it was Tanaka who made him submit today. Tanaka ignored him at first but Watase provoked him into coming back to the ring. Tanaka said he found spirit inside the ring today so he will accept Watase’s challenge on 7th March. He advised Watase to raise his pants up by as much as 3cm then left the ring.

The Chinese Impact used by Rekka & Choun-Shiryu is Shiryu’s Chinese Gory Bomb combined with a Diving Lariat to the back of the head by Rekka. Shiryu was invited by Rekka to enter the tag team tournament. Shiryu said he has been living in Japan for 14 years and will turn 40 years old this year. But today he felt as young and fresh as ever so he would be happy to join the tournament with Rekka.

The DNA Tag Team tournament is scheduled to begin on 7th March. Eight teams will be a part of it. The semi-finals and final will be held on 5th April. The two confirmed entries so far are Yuki Ueno & Koju Takeda and Rekka & Choun-Shiryu.

7. Road To KO-D! ‘Hama Special Tag Match: Shuji Ishikawa & Tetsuya Endo defeated Konosuke Takeshita & Shunma Katsumata when Endo pinned Katsumata with the Shooting Star Press (16:26).

Konosuke Takeshita and Shuji Ishikawa will have plenty of chances to know each other’s strengths as their Sumo Hall preview series of matches continued today. Ishikawa said that his body will not break before 25th March. Daisuke Sasaki told everyone that Mad Paulie is not allowed to sing or dance to celebrate Ishikawa’s victories until Ishikawa beats Takeshita at Sumo Hall. Both Ishikawa and Paulie were shocked to hear this news.

Kazusada Higuchi said he is feeling good again after his latest match with HARASHIMA involved. Higuchi made Makoto Oishi submit to the Canadian Backbreaker to win. Next on his list of priorities is his match with Naomichi Marufuji in Korakuen Hall. Higuchi sees this as a big chance to beat one of the best pro wrestlers going today. He wants the fans expecting him to crush Marufuji!

After a month of intense exchanges in the ring, Kota Umeda and Yuki Ueno fought each other one on one to settle their differences. Umeda’s kicks overwhelmed Ueno but he took as many of them as he could before falling to the Umeda Driver. The two shook hands after the match but Ueno was still in a bad mood. He explained backstage that he is frustrated because he wants to become stronger but hasn’t felt any change in him recently. He doesn’t dislike Umeda, he is just angry that Umeda was able to advance his skills after coming back from a serious injury.

DAMNATION have awoken something dark and evil inside Danshoku Dino. He was taken out of his tag match when Daisuke Sasaki injured him with a chair attack. Keisuke Ishii had to fight on his own and was on the verge of tapping out to the Cross Facelock when Great Muta style chanting could be heard around the room. Dino came back as The Great Homo and spat a milk like mist at everyone in the ring! The match was stopped but The Great Homo continued his rampage. He took out a metal spike and attacked Sasaki with it, aiming for his ass. Sasaki was able to escape when other wrestlers at ringside pulled Dino away from him.

The BASARA team showed they are united towards achieving their goal of winning the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles. They came out to the BASARA theme song instead of their own. When they won today’s match, Ryota Nakatsu & Fuminori Abe mocked Shuten-dōji by taking out cans of beer from under the ring and holding their own victory toast. An angry Yukio Sakaguchi chased them away from the ring.

Antonio Honda tried to impress Samara by telling his story about “Gon, The Little Fox” in English.

KUDO was mostly ignored by Toru Owashi and Daiki Shimomura in the 3 Way Match. Both of them even yelled at him to stop interfering in their fight. Owashi finally allowed KUDO to get involved by asking him to do the Diving Double Knee Drop to Shimomura. But when KUDO climbed the ropes, Owashi grabbed Shimomura and pinned him with La Magistral Cradle. Afterwards KUDO said he was relieved that his daughter wasn’t here to see this match nor will she be allowed to watch it on DDT UNIVERSE.

There is a lot to take in here for the last major DDT show before “JUDGEMENT 2018”. The two big Sumo Hall matches are blended together for the main event, Kazusada Higuchi gets to fight Naomichi Marufuji one on one and Shunma Katsumata gets a DDT Extreme Title shot. DAMNATION and Danshoku Dino’s buddies face off before The Great Muta arrives. The Tag Rumble might also give some clues to who will take part in the Ryogoku Falls Count Anywhere Match.

Shuten-dōji called for challengers in DDT’s other promotions and BASARA answered the call. Ryuichi Sekine, Ryota Nakatsu & Fuminori Abe were selected by Isami Kodaka and Producer Dino to challenge for for the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles.

The Infomercial Match will this time promote an IT network corporation. It sounds like an excuse for Dino to get somebody to solve his computer problems without paying for it.

7. The Mountain Of Akagi Is Far Tonight! Maebashi Specialty Tag Match: Konosuke Takeshita & Akito defeated Shuji Ishikawa & Mad Paulie when Akito submitted Paulie with the Perfect Figure 4 Leg Lock (14:46).

In the first preview of the “JUDGEMENT 2018” main event, ALL OUT beat DAMNATION but neither Konosuke Takeshita or Shuji Ishikawa were part of the finish. Both of them wound up outside the ring after Takeshita Clotheslined Ishikawa over the ropes. Akito took down Mad Paulie after targeting his legs and trapped him in the Perfect Figure 4 Leglock to win. Akito told Takeshita afterwards he will support him on the front line leading up to Sumo Hall. Takeshita said he got to train against the power of Ishikawa’s Lariats as well as his Knee Strikes today. They then invited Shunma Katsumata into the ring to talk about his upcoming DDT Extreme Title match on 25th February. Takeshita ended the show by announcing the main event for Korakuen Hall on 25th February. He is teaming up with HARASHIMA to take on Ishikawa and Daisuke Sekimoto!

Although Kazusada Higuchi’s team lost today, he still gestured at HARASHIMA that he will take his KO-D Tag Team Title belt. Higuchi is facing Naomichi Marufuji one on one in a preview of the tag title match.

Kazuki Hirata complained to Danshoku Dino about his matchmaking for their trios bout. Hirata didn’t want to team with his usual T2Hide partners because he thinks they have no future. There is a new generation in DDT featuring wrestlers like Keisuke Ishii, Mizuki Watase and himself. Based on these comments, Dino changed the match to himself, Sanshiro Takagi & Toru Owashi against Hirata, Ishii & Watase in a battle between two generations. Dino’s team won but Watase had something to say afterwards. The New Generation weren’t able to beat the Super Generation today. But when Watase returns to Maebashi he promises to advance beyond the Super Generation! The two sides agreed to a rematch when DDT returns to Maebashi.

Daisuke Sasaki tried to flirt with Samara during the 3 Way Tag Match by asking her to make children with him. Samara was disgusted and pushed him away. He tried to give her the Vietnam Driver II but Joey Ryan saved her with a Super Kick to Sasaki. The match broke down until Tetsuya Endo and Masahiro Takanashi were left in the ring. Endo countered the Takatonic into the Torture Rack Bomb to win the match for DAMNATION.

Makoto Oishi was able to pin Antonio Honda with a European Clutch after Honda missed the Diving Fist Drop.

Kota Umeda and Yuki Ueno continue to go after each other and had to be kept apart after their match again.

7a. Rematch: Daisuke Sasaki defeated Danshoku Dino with the Cross Facelock (10:17).
8. DDT Extreme Title – Hardcore Match: Yuko Miyamoto (c) defeated KUDO with the Moonsault (16:22).
*V1 for Yuko Miyamoto.

KUDO found himself in an unusal setting today. He fought Yuko Miyamoto in a Hardcore match featuring chairs, tables, ladders, pots and a barbed wire nunchucks that he brought himself. KUDO kicked out of the Fire Thunder through a table and was still in the match after another Fire Thunder but the Moonsault put his challenge to an end. Miyamoto thanked KUDO for letting him be involved in KUDO’s first ever Hardcore Match. He then said he will defend the DDT Extreme Title against anyone who wants to fight him. Shunma Katsumata answered the call. Miyamoto recognised him as that idol wrestler but Katsumata cut him off and said he has moved on to become an ALL OUT member. He asked if he could get the next title shot. Miyamoto accepted and the match will take place in Korakuen Hall on 25th February.

Before the main event took place, Joey Ryan and Antonio Honda came out promising to give the announcement of the century. They demanded Sanshiro Takagi to come out for his demand. Ryan asked Takagi if he could join T2Hide. Takagi thought about it until Ryan said he would become the leader of T2Hide and also the president of DDT. Takagi turned him down. He doesn’t care about the T2Hide leadership but taking the role of DDT president away from him is crossing the line. A fight was ready to break out until Toru Owashi & Kazuki Hirata calmed everyone down. When everyone was leaving the ring, Ryan grabbed Takagi and used his dong strength to flip him over. Honda gave Ryan and chair and held on to Takagi for the chairshot. Suddenly, Munenori Sawa came to the rescue! Sawa chased away Ryan & Honda until it was only himself and Takagi left in the ring. After a tense moment alone, Sawa offered a handshake to Takagi but Takagi refused. As the emotions between them built up, they finally hugged and paper crackers popped around ringside to celebrate the reunion of Takagi & Sawa! The two left the ring crying shoulder to shoulder. Backstage Sawa told Takagi he will be there for him at Sumo Hall on 25th March. They will team together for a Falls Count Anywhere match against any team that wants to face them. The interviewer asked them if their reunion reminded them of the Golden ☆ Lovers reunion that happened last week. Takagi said what happened today is completely original. Sawa said he had never seen anything like this before. They called the interviewer rude for asking such a silly question.

Daisuke Sasaki’s homecoming was ruined by Danshoku Dino but he eventually got his revenge. Dino tackled Sasaki to the mat and tried to do Danshoku things to him. Sasaki tapped out to get away from him. They agreed to an immediate rematch and Sasaki spat coffee mist into Dino’s eyes. He then made Dino submit to the Cross Facelock.

Today was a good first outing for Katsumata in his first match for ALL OUT. He wore new gear and got the winning pinfall too. Katsumata gave a standard victory speech but Akito interrupted and asked him to get back on the microphone. He has to say more than the usual to win over the audience. Katsumata promised everyone that he will make it to the top of DDT. Akito pushed him to continue and be more clear with his goals. Katsumata said that he will win a DDT championship! Now Akito was satisfied with the promo.

Ken Ohka wrestled Gota Ihashi to motivate Ihashi after comments by Riki Choshu gave him an identity crisis. Ohka won the match but gave Ihashi a captivating speech afterwards. Ohka offered Ihashi the chance to team with him and Kazusada Higuchi in the main event of next Tuesday’s YaroZ show. Ihashi promised to do his best for Ohka.

Kota Umeda and Yuki Ueno continued to fight each other after Match #3 ended. When they were pulled apart Umeda challenged Ueno to a singles match.

Nobuhiro Shimatani is suffering from appendicitis and had to be replaced by Daiki Shimomura in Match #3.
