5. HARASHIMA & Kenshin Chikano defeated Yukio Sakaguchi & Yukio Naya when HARASHIMA pinned Naya with the Somato (13:30).
6. Hiroshima Specialty! Special 6-Man Tag Match Without Justice: Daisuke Sasaki, Yuji Hino & Hiroshi Yamato defeated Jun Akiyama, Makoto Oishi & Yusuke Okada when Sasaki submitte Okada with the Crossface Lock (18:39).

A supposed King Of DDT preview between Jun Akiyama and Daisuke Sasaki happened with them hardly laying a finger on each other. Sasaki tagged himself out of the match when Akiyama was ready to fight him. The only physical contact to happen came from breaking pins or submission holds. Instead Akiyama spent more time fighting Yuji Hino while Sasaki tangled with Makoto Oishi & Yusuke Okada. Sasaki made Okada give up in the end then had a staredown with Akiyama. When Akiyama left the ring, Sasaki said he is now confident he can beat him in the tournament. Hiroshi Yamato then got to sing his song to close out the show.

The Iyasareru came out for their match pretending to be DAMNATION to confuse their opponents. Chris Brookes held a sign with IyasareNATION written on it and Honda had his face painted to look like Mad Paulie. The plan did not work and DAMNATION won the match instead.

Kazusada Higuchi wants Tetsuya Endo to know that he will be in the ring at Korakuen Hall waiting for him to have their 2nd Round match. He owes Endo a debt because Endo’s injury means both of them are currently in a situation where there is no victory or defeat between them. Higuchi wants to settle this debt in the ring whether Endo will still be injured or not.

5. Isami Kodaka 19th Anniversary Match: Isami Kodaka Vs Kengo Mashimo

For a match to celebrate 19 years in the industry, Isami Kodaka has picked Kengo Mashimo as his opponent. Sometimes they get along, usually when they have to. But most of the time they don’t. There is a level of respect between them and I’m sure Mashimo will behave. With that said, he probably isn’t going to care if Kodaka gets roughed up more than usual on his special day.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “ADDITIONAL ATTACK”, 17/06/2021

6. International Princess Title: Hikari Noa (c) Vs Marika Kobashi
7. Princess Tag Team Titles: Sakisama & Mei Saint-Michel (c) Vs Miyu Yamashita & Maki Itoh

With momentum on her side Miyu Yamashita now aims to be the first Double Princess Champion in Tokyo Joshi. Her tag partner Maki Itoh was upset that Yamashita didn’t call on her to join the photo call with Jun Akiyama and Naomichi Marufuji at the end of “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL 2021” that was used for the front cover of the latest Weekly Pro-Wrestling issue. Yoshihiko was on it but not Itoh? Come on! Yamashita cheered her up by saying she loves her and knows it was Itoh who cheered for her the most. They’ll make it to the cover of the next issue when they win the Princess Tag Team Titles.

Mei Saint-Michel has been preparing for the match by doing everything but pro wrestling. She’s been playing the piano, writing, learning ballet, doing tea ceremonies and much more. Sakisama promises to make the challengers scream. The more she makes them scream, the more it excites her. The date of the title match was scheduled without her permission so she’ll take her anger out on 121000000.

Six years into her career, Marika Kobashi is ready for her first singles title shot. She wants to win the International Princess Title, turn it into the International Gal Title and bring it to Shibuya where she will become the strongest Gal in the world! Hikari Noa is excited for the match because it proves the IP Title is all about the individuality of the champion and her challengers. She thinks of herself as the main character and her opponents are monsters she must beat one by one.

There is a lot of attention surrounding Yuki Arai’s arrival into TJPW. She is nervous going into her first singles match but wants to show everyone what she is capable of. Her opponent Mirai Maiumi isn’t going to let her hog all the spotlight. She too understands it is an important match. An unbreakable spirit is the biggest weapon a pro wrestler can have and Arai is sure to get one from her countless supporters. To combat this, Mirai has created her own idol unit called MSS48 (Mirai Strong Style 48). She is the only member so far but will recruit anyone who has the power, speed, mentality and excellence that matches her own.

4. King Of DDT 2021 – Round 1: Konosuke Takeshita defeated Akito with a Modified Chickenwing Facelock (12:29).
5. King Of DDT 2021 – Round 1: Daisuke Sasaki defeated Yuki Ueno with a Cradle (1:51).
6. King Of DDT 2021 – Round 1: Jun Akiyama defeated Shunma Katsumata with a School Boy (7:43).
7. King Of DDT 2021 – Round 1: Kazusada Higuchi defeated Naomi Yoshimura with the Brain Claw Slam (10:44).
8. King Of DDT 2021 – Round 1: Tetsuya Endo defeated Chris Brookes with the Shooting Star Press (20:50).

Will the second half of 2021 be a breakthrough for Tetsuya Endo? His journey began today with King Of DDT 2021. Endo’s 1st Round opponent was Chris Brookes and they had a closely fought match. He had to pull out the Double Arm Canadian Destroyer to deal enough damage to set up the Torture Rack Bomb and Shooting Star Press finish. Afterwards Endo told the fans he will win King Of DDT, go to Kawasaki Stadium and be the last man standing!

In the first singles match between the two heavyweights, Kazusada Higuchi toppled Naomi Yoshimura. Higuchi focused on getting the Brain Claw on his opponent, hitting the Brain Claw Slam for the win. Now in Round 2 Higuchi reignites his rivalry with Endo.

Shunma Katsumata carried a party popper into the ring and promised the referee he wouldn’t use it. He lied and popped it in Jun Akiyama’s face. Katsumata then forced his sauna cap onto his opponent’s head and made him wrestle in it. He grabbed a chair, caught by the referee and then brought in a box of Lego while the ref turned his back to remove the chair. Akiyama got fed up with his antics and emptied the box of Lego in the ring only to get caught by the ref. Katsumata took control but missed a Diving Splash, landing on the Lego. Akiyama rolled him up with a School Boy to get the win. Backstage Katsumata got mad at Akiyama for stealing his Lego and leaving him with a cut elbow. If Katsumata was going to bleed then he wished they would have done a death match today!

Maybe the big surprise result of Round 1 was Daisuke Sasaki beating Yuki Ueno in under two minutes. Mad Paulie did a lot to make that happen by interfering in the match so Sasaki could Low Blow Ueno. Sasaki rolled him up in a Samson Clutch and Paulie grabbed onto his arm for leverage behind the ref’s back to get the three count. Sasaki advances on to face Akiyama in the next round. He said he will call Shigeo Okumura to learn the true King’s Road style and use it to beat Akiyama!

An ALL OUT reunion had Konosuke Takeshita prevent Akito from repeating last year’s Cinderella run. Takeshita used a new move to win the match, applying a Chickenwing Facelock from the Camel Clutch position to make Akito submit. The two were both in good spirits afterward and shook each other’s hands with a smile. Takeshita said he came up with the new move after he lost to Akiyama but waited until King Of DDT to use it. The move does not have a name yet.

MAO pulled out a big gun on Soma Takao, using a Michinoku Driver II from the top rope to beat him. Seeing the rest of The 37KAMIINA do well has lit a fire under MAO and he doesn’t want to be seen as the loser of the group. He now has a big chance to prove it because he faces Takeshita in Round 2.

The big beefy power of Yuji Hino took everything that Yukio Sakaguchi could throw at him. The God’s Right Knee dealt a lot of damage to him and Sakaguchi sunk in the Sleeper Hold, but Hino fell into the ropes to break it. When the time came for Hino to do his thing, Sakaguchi couldn’t survive it. Hino shrugged off his Sleeper Hold, knocked him down with a Lariat and pinned him with the Fucking BOMB. Hino won but he admits it was by luck and admits that Sakaguchi is a terrifying guy.

Makoto Oishi’s over-reliance on the Fujiyama Knee Lock proved to be his undoing. Once HARASHIMA figured out how to counter it, he used it to his advantage. The counter involved setting up an Armlock then cradling Oishi into a pin. When Oishi released the hold to kick out, HARASHIMA was immediately in place to hit the Somato and win. Next up for HARASHIMA is Hino in a KO-D Openweight Title rematch from all the way back in 2012.

*V3 for Jun Akiyama.

*Keiji Muto fails in V3. Naomichi Marufuji becomes the 35th GHC Heavyweight Champion!

The big supershow came and went without a hitch! DDT, NOAH, Tokyo Joshi Pro and Ganbare☆Pro all worked together to offer their best effort at Saitama Super Arena in front of 4,800 fans. When the three main events were done the three main champions of DDT, NOAH & TJPW entered the ring to thank the fans for coming to see them. Naomichi Marufuji said the CyberFight promotions will energize everyone with the power of pro wrestling. Jun Akiyama thanked everyone for attending even in the midst of the Coronavirus pandemic. He also thanked the fans watching on WRESTLE UNIVERSE. Last but not least Miyu Yamashita pointed out this was the largest crowd TJPW has performed in front of. She is certain that many people saw TJPW for the first time today and will be happy if any of them will stick around to see more. The entire cast of wrestlers gathered together on the stage for a massive group photo to close out the show.

Only one title changed hands out of the three main event championship matches. On the NOAH side, Marufuji won the GHC Heavyweight Title from Keiji Muto in what was called a “Genius Showdown”. Muto pulled out all the stops to try and win, going far enough to pull out the Moonsault that he retired three years ago! Just as shocking was Marufuji kicking out of the pin. He then got on the attack and unleashed all of his kicking and knee strikes on the champion. Muto tried to block what he could but he fell to the Tiger King Zero and the title now belongs to Marufuji.

DDT’s main event saw Akiyama choke out HARASHIMA to retain the KO-D Openweight Title. Akiyama entered the ring carrying the giant hammer commonly seen in DDT’s hardcore matches as a sign of loyalty to the company. HARASHIMA took the big risk of doing the Swan Dive Somato but Akiyama rolled out of the way. The champion then struck HARASHIMA with a Knee Kick and then dropped him with the Wrist Clutch Exploder. For weeks the Front Neck Lock was the finishing move used by both wrestlers so it was only fitting for Akiyama to sink it in on his opponent until the referee called for the bell. Backstage Akiyama said he has now defeated all of DDT’s icons. Next in line for him is whoever wins King Of DDT. If Akiyama wins the tournament then he promises to nominate Sanshiro Takagi so they can see which of them in their 50s is stronger.

Over at TJPW, Yamashita scored her first Princess Of Princess Title defence by beating Yuka Sakazaki. The match meant a lot to both wrestlers and they brought out their big moves. Sakazaki attempted the Magical Girl 450 Splash but missed, Yamashita hit the Skull Kick but was too tired to go for the pin allowing Sakazaki enough recovery time to reach for a rope break when she was pinned. Yamashita feigned a Crash Rabbit Heat to make Sakazaki flinch, then redirected herself to hit the move from another angle. With her opponent’s defence down, Yamashita hit the move proper for the victory. Yamashita tried to communicate with Sakazaki after the match but got a big slap across the face instead. Sakazaki stormed off while Yamashita celebrated with her title. Backstage Yamashita said she wants TJPW to push even further and aim for their own event at Sumo Hall.

The big DDT Vs NOAH match of the show provided the perfect storm to show two wrestlers going in opposite directions. DDT’s Yuki Ueno is having a banner year while NOAH’s Kaito Kiyomiya is currently going through a rough slump of results. The DDT’s team lived up to Konosuke Takeshita’s promise of getting an overwhelming win over Kiyomiya & Yoshiki Inamura. Takeshita used his power to do a German Suplex to Kiyomiya and his own partner Ueno. A big Dropkick from Ueno to Kiyomiya’s face was the move that captured everyone’s attention and the Best Moonsault Ever sealed the deal. Both of the DDT wrestlers were impressed with Inamura’s power though. This might not be the last time they cross paths. Kiyomiya insists that this current run of bad results is just a passing point for him.

The spirit of DDT was on full display when they went into battle against Kongo. The DDT team led by Sanshiro Takagi were as motivated as ever after Kenoh called the company a place only for wrestlers with side jobs. They armed themselves with many of DDT’s signature weapons: the Dramatic Dream Cycle, the rotary drill, the big hammer and the strongest of them all… Yoshihiko! The big meeting in the ring was when Yukio Sakaguchi and Kenoh faced off. During the chaos Kenoh must have lost his mind because he decided to use the Dramatic Dream to run over Takagi on the ramp! He and Katsuhiko Nakajima continued to beat on Takagi when Sakaguchi & Kazusada Higuchi came to the rescue. Sakaguchi hit Kenoh with the God’s Right Knee. Then, with Yoshihiko’s help, he caught Kenoh in the Sleeper Hold and held him back while Takagi pinned Haoh with the Sit Down Himawari Bomb. Takagi told Kenoh afterwards that he hates him but he will never force him to change his style. Every promotion in CyberFight can do the pro wrestling they want to do. There is only one goal and that is become the No. 1 pro wrestling power in the industry!

DDT’s offer match for the show was DAMNATION taking on the combined power of Chris Brookes & The 37KAMIINA in a trios match. MAO pulled out a firecracker but Daisuke Sasaki ducked and the pop hit Shunma Katsumata instead. DAMNATION went on a tear with Soma Takao using a Hurricanrana to Brookes out of the ring onto everyone outside, Tetsuya Endo then hitting a Swan Dive Shooting Star Press and even Mad Paulie getting involved behind the referee’s back. Sasaki finished MAO off with the Crossover Facelock to give DAMNATION the victory.

There were no heel turns in the NOAH Jr. Heavyweight match. I repeat, there were no heel turns in the NOAH Jr. Heavyweight match! The champion trio of Atsushi Kotoge, Daisuke Harada & Hajime Ohara went toe to toe against STINGER. Kotoge & Ohara cut off Yoshinari Ogawa & HAYATA outside the ring while Harada pinned Seiki Yoshioka with the Katayama German Suplex. Harada said it gives his team confidence to go into the match as champions and win.

The SKE48 idol Yuki Arai has gotten a lot of attention with her move into pro wrestling. Today was only her second match but it was still given a big spot on the card given it was her first bout in front of an audience. SKE48 graduate Jurina Matsui was in attendance to see her fight. Arai’s immediate rival Maki Itoh formed the Saitama Itoh Respect Army 2021 to steal the attention away from her. Having Yuki Kamifuku & Marika Kobashi on Itoh’s side worked out in the end because Arai almost pinned Itoh with the Finally (Axe Kick). They broke the count then got into a fight with Hikari Noa & Mizuki. With all of them out of the way, Itoh caught Arai in a Crab Hold then twisted it in a different angle to get the submission win. That version of the move is called the Itoh Punish. Jurina cheered her friend on when Arai was helped out of the ring by her partners.

One of the DDT Vs NOAH matches had Masa Kitamiya smash through Hideki Okatani in under three minutes. Okatani put up a fight in that short time but Suplexes, a Lariat and the Jail Hold resulted in Kitamiya getting his hand raised.

The unofficial SUGI & SAKU Titles match is one that Takashi Sugiura will not remember fondly in years to come. Probably not the weirdest thing Kazushi Sakuraba has ever been a part of though, to be honest. Sugiura & Sakuraba wrestled most of the match wearing their custom Super Strong Machine masks anyway. Before the match began, Super Sasadango Machine held a PowerPoint presentation titled “How To Beat Sugiura & Sakuraba”. You cannot beat them under normal conditions but Sugiura-gun are also not used to fighting against comedy wrestlers. The plan then is to make them laugh to throw them off their game. Sasadango brought out plastic bats to play a Guru Guru spinning game but Sugiura attacked him with it instead. Danshoku Dieno wore a mask of actress Takako Tokiwa’s face to seduce Sakuraba but his trap was foiled by an Ankle Lock. Sasadango unmasked in a moment that looked serious, but it was just so he could wear pantyhose on his head. Sugiura was then forced to wear pantyhose over his head too. He pinned Sasadango to end the bout and then apologised to the fans for having them watch a shit match.

The TJPW 3 Way Tag Match involved three teams all in position to get a future Princess Tag Team Titles shot. Kyoraku Kyomei warned that Shoko Nakajima was going to destroy Saitama Super Arena in a kaiju rampage but Hyper Misao would immediately fix it afterwards like the hero she is. The match went wild with Daydream and The Bakuretsu Sisters also involved. Kyoraku Kyomei came out on top in the end. Rika Tatsumi argued that Daydream still won because she and Miu Watanabe did not get pinned. Nodoka Tenma & Yuki Aino said they still had fun despite Aino dropping the fall.

Yuki Iino revealed a new pink wrestling outfit when he came out for the opening match. The NOAH team of Junta Miyawaki & Kinya Okada were determined to start the show off on the right track for their company. Miyawaki made Toui Kojima tap out to get his team the win. Kojima ended up with a dislocated left elbow at some point but continued to fight until the end.

The STARTING BATTLE pre-show consisted of three matches and was home to Ganpro’s matches on the day. The headline bout of this section had Shuichiro Katsumura, Kouki Iwasaki & Yumehito Imanari defeat Ken Ohka, Keisuke Ishii & Shota. Everyone involved treated the match as if they were fighting to become the hero of Saitama Super Arena. Iwasaki got the pin and said he is ready to fight with anyone in Ganpro and was proud to do his thing inside this building. Ohka closed out this portion of the show by shouting “We are Ganbare☆Pro Wrestling!”

Antonio Honda was the last person standing in the Battle Royal. The match featured the return to the ring of Yoshiaki Yatsu for the first time in two years. He wrestled with his specailly made prosthetic foot after his right leg was amputated due to worsening diabetes. Yatsu was the first entrant in the match so he wasn’t taking things easy. Wrestlers from DDT, NOAH and Ganpro filled the ring and in the end, Honda used the power of Gongitsune to guide his way to victory.

The very first match of the day was the debut match of TJPW’s newest wrestler, Kaya Toribami. There was very little information about the masked woman given out and a solid performance in the ring today raises some questions. Is this somebody who already has wrestling experience going incognito? For the rest of the field, they could hardly contain themselves to perform in a major venue.

Ultimate Tag League 2021 Final Standings

1. Konosuke Takeshita & Shunma Katsumata (5)
-. Daisuke Sasaki & Yuji Hino (5)
3. Jun Akiyama & Makoto Oishi (4)
-. Kazusada Higuchi & Yukio Sakaguchi (4)
5. Chris Brookes & Antonio Honda (2)

The first Ultimate Tag League winners have been crowned and it is The 37KAMIINA! A tiebreaker match was expected to come out of the last day and it came with Konosuke Takeshita & Shunma Katsumata facing off against Daisuke Sasaki & Yuji Hino from DAMNATION. Their match earlier in the tournament ended in a draw and both teams were already tired from already wrestling their own matches earlier. It all came down to Katsumata using all of his strength to give Hino a Back Drop. With the big guy out of the way, they were able to give Sasaki the MADMAX to win the league. Takeshita thanked the fans for supporting them to the very end. Katsumata was really happy because this was the first league he has ever won. He then challenged Smile Pissari to a KO-D Tag Team Titles match!

The 37KAMIINA went over Junretsu to reach the tiebreaker with Katsumata getting the upset pinfall over Jun Akiyama! At first it looked like Junretsu had the match won when Makoto Oishi put Takeshita in the Fujiyama Knee Lock while Akiyama had Katsumata in a Front Neck Lock. Akiyama went to finish him off with the Wrist-Clutch Exploder when Takeshita broke in and hit a Knee Strike. Katsumata then rolled a surprised Akiyama over with a School Boy for the three count.

DAMNATION made it to the tiebreaker at Eruption’s expense. Yukio Sakaguchi trapped Sasaki in the Cross Armbreaker but Hino broke it by Power Bombing Kazusada Higuchi onto them. Sasaki then put Sakaguchi into the Cross Facelock and Sakaguchi had to give up.

In a preview of the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles match, DISASTER BOX defeated DAMNATION and HARASHIMA sent a message to Akiyama by using one of his signature moves to win. After HARASHIMA hit the Somato on Mad Paulie, he then applied a Front Neck Lock to make him submit. Tetsuya Endo & Soma Takao took their anger out on Kazuki Hirata afterwards even though he wasn’t in the match. Endo also showed disrespect to Toru Owashi at the start by stepping on the O-40 Title belt and calling him a pig. Naomi Yoshimura came out of the match feeling so motivated that he wants to target all of the DAMNATION members for his stablemates.

Akito couldn’t hide his smile when he saw Yuki Ueno enter the ring with his waist all taped up. Ueno got the last laugh today by hitting him with the WR while his team went on to win the match. Akito had to be helped out of the ring and Ueno told him he is still going to wear the DDT UNIVERSAL Title despite being bandaged up.

Hirata was mistreated even more when the 5 Way Match began before he entered the ring. Danshoku Dieno propped himself over the turnbuckles to provide an An*l Power charging station for everyone to use. It powered up Antonio Honda’s Gongitsune, Saki Akai’s Big Boot, Yuki Iino’s Haka Elbow and Hirata’s Tegatana hand. Iino hit the Haka Elbow on Honda but Hirata wiped his an*l charged hand over Iino’s face for a distraction and then stole the pin.

Toui Kojima is still trying to be accepted into The 37KAMIINA. He did the “NeppoWER!” pose to Keigo Nakamura instead of a handshake. Meanwhile Hideki Okatani almost broke Yuya Koroku in half with a Crab Hold.

Ultimate Tag League 2021 Standings

1. Kazusada Higuchi & Yukio Sakaguchi (4)
2. Daisuke Sasaki & Yuji Hino (3)
3. Chris Brookes & Antonio Honda (2)
-. Jun Akiyama & Makoto Oishi (2)
5. Konosuke Takeshita & Shunma Katsumata (1)

Makoto Oishi makes up for Junretsu’s slow start by winning their first points in the league. Today’s win was special for him because Sendai is where his wife Misaki Oishi was born. Jun Akiyama said Oishi is the key to their team. They win when he is good, they lose when he is bad. Daisuke Sasaki & Yuji Hino’s excuse for losing is they can’t beat the spirit of Mt. Fuji that Oishi drew his power from.

A reversal of fortunes saw Yukio Sakaguchi hurt his knees and tell his own story to pass the time. Things went back to normal when Antonio Honda ended up in the same position to use Gongitsune. His sneak attack accidentally hit Yukinori Matsui instead but at least that allowed The Iyasareru to cheat a little. Kazusada Higuchi and Chris Brookes intervened but the match came down to Sakaguchi and Honda. Sakaguchi countered the Diving Fist Drop by catching Honda into a Triangle Choke. With this submission win, Eruption is now in 1st place.

Local pride was on the line between MAO and Tetsuya Endo. Both are from the Miyagi region and wanted to be the hometown hero for this show, even though both of their actual hometowns are miles away from Sendai. Mad Paulie of all people came up with the idea to make the match No Tag rules. Sadly for him, he got pinned by MAO so MAO got to give the big speech afterwards to the fans.

Naomi Yoshimura and Yuki Iino were at each other’s throats during their tag match. They brawled around ringside even as the match reached its end. Iino charged at Yoshimura again afterwards and the two had to be kept apart.

Keigo Nakamura upgraded his Moonsault to use against standing opponents. He now calls that version the Michinoku Attack.

2. Konosuke Takeshita & Shunma Katsumata (1)
-. Daisuke Sasaki & Yuji Hino (1)
4. Kazusada Higuchi & Yukio Sakaguchi (0)
-. Jun Akiyama & Makoto Oishi (0)

The Ultimate Tag League begins with an upset win and a time limit draw. In the main event The 37 KAMIINA went thirty minutes against DAMNATION without a winner coming out of it. The 37 KAMIINA got to hit MADMAX on Yuji Hino but Daisuke Sasaki pulled the referee out of the ring to prevent the count. Sasaki then brought in a chair to duel with Shunma Katsumata without the ref around to stop them. Sasaki turned his attention to Konosuke Takeshita, giving him a Canadian Destroyer. But his La Mistica attempt was blocked and The 37 KAMIINA gave him an Inverted MADMAX. With minutes remaining, Hino fought off his opponents until the time expired. Both teams start the league with one point each.

The big upset came when Chris Brookes & Antonio Honda defeated Junretsu in their opening league bout. Honda looked like he wanted to start the match off with Jun Akiyama but told Brookes to get out there instead. When it was time for Honda to shine, he tripped over Makoto Oishi and hurt his knee. Honda begged Junretsu to let him tell his Gongitsune joke because his father always looks forward to it. Akiyama knew it was a trick and he blocked Honda’s cheap shot. Oishi trapped Honda in the Fujiyama Knee Lock but Honda Cradled him into a pinfall to get the three count. Backstage Brookes & Honda revealed they have a new team name to replace The European Connection. From now on they are The Iyasareru. Their win today was no accident but a miracle formed by fate.

The return of Naomi Yoshimura threw him right in the action with his former tag partner Yuki Ueno. The ring rust and Ueno’s progression during Yoshimura’s absence was his downfall today. Ueno pinned him with the Best Moonsault Ever while at the same time MAO wiped out HARASHIMA with a Quebrada out of the ring. Ueno welcomed Yoshimura back after a half year absence. He said they’ll have fun wrestling each other again. Yoshimura promised to work hard so he can reach the position Ueno is in. He also wants to help DISASTER BOX any way he can, like by winning the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles.

A sprint between Yukio Sakaguchi and Yusuke Okada guaranteed a quick finish and Sakaguchi got it by knocking Okada out in five minutes. Okada climbing the turnbuckles left him vulnerable for the God’s Right Knee. More big kicks and knee strikes found their mark and the match had to be stopped after Okada was felled with a Right High Kick. Backstage Okada swore revenge and wants Sakaguchi to know that this isn’t over! Sakaguchi welcomes the threat. He crush Okada as many times as he wants until he is satisfied.

DAMNATION did get a win in non-tournament action, beating the other members of Eruption along with Yuki Iino. The teamwork of Kazusada Higuchi & Saki Akai on Tetsuya Endo set Iino up for the Haka Elbow. But Mad Paulie ruined those plans and with Soma Takao’s help got rid of Eruption. Iino was placed on the canvas with the Back Flip allowing Endo to pin him with the Shooting Star Press.

An empty arena gave the wrestlers in Match #2 an idea. They agreed to have a Reverse Battle Royal match where throwing the opponents over the top rope and INTO the ring was the goal. The wrestlers were warned by the Korakuen Hall staff to stay away from the orange seat sections of the venue so those areas were also disqualification zones. Wrestlers fought on the bleachers, Kazuki Hirata danced, Sanshiro Takagi & Yukio Naya built a castle of chairs, Akito stopped himself from throwing people into the orange seats because the staff would get mad with him. Takagi brought out the Dramatic Dream bike but Hirata stole it and crashed into the chairs. Takagi attempted the Old School rope walk across the barrier but Toru Owashi knocked him into the orange chairs. The staff got so angry at Takagi he took himself out of the match. Danshoku Dieno used a Power Bomb to lift Keigo Nakamura up to Super Sasadango Machine on the ring apron. Sasadango then Suplexed Nakamura over the ropes and into the ring to win the match.

After the match Sasadango complained about himself and Dieno not being booked for “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL 2021” yet. They want a match against NOAH wrestlers and Sasadango doesn’t care who it is as long as it shows the different ideologies between DDT and NOAH. Dieno copped on and tried to stop Sasadango, realizing who he was going to challenge. Sasadango went ahead and said he wants Takashi Sugiura! Sasadango and an unwilling Dieno are going to fight Sugiura-gun! Sasadango tried to convince Dieno it’s a good idea because the match might get them on the cover of Shukan Puroresu.

In the opening match between the rookies, Hideki Okatani defeated Toui Kojima. The less experience Kojima hit a Full Nelson Buster but missed a Diving Body Press. He defended himself from the Northern Lights Suplex the first time but Okatani wore him down until he got to hit the move for the win.

The King Of DDT 2021 begins on 16th June. The 16 entries are Akito, Jun Akiyama, Yuki Ueno, Tetsuya Endo, Makoto Oishi, Shunma Katsumata, Chris Brookes, Yukio Sakaguchi, Daisuke Sasaki, Soma Takao, Konosuke Takeshita, HARASHIMA, Kazusada Higuchi, Yuji Hino, MAO and Naomi Yoshimura.

Daisuke Sasaki, Tetsuya Endo & Soma Takao Vs Chris Brookes, Shunma Katsumata & MAO has been added to “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL 2021”.

New additions to the “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL 2021” Battle Royal include Makoto Oishi, Saki Akai, Antonio Honda, Yusuke Okada, Toru Owashi, Kazuki Hirata, Yuya Koroku, Yuji Hino, Shu Sakurai and Yuna Manase. The NOAH entries will be announced at a later date.

*V2 for Chris Brookes. Chris Brookes becomes the 1,507th Iron Man Heavymetalweight Champion.
6. Jun Akiyama, Makoto Oishi & Yusuke Okada defeated HARASHIMA, Toru Owashi & Kazuki Hirata when Oishi pinned Hirata with the Blue Dahlia (11:42).
7. DDT UNIVERSAL Title: Yuki Ueno (c) defeated Soma Takao with the WR (25:39).
*V5 for Yuki Ueno.

The empty Korakuen Hall doubleheader concluded with DDT’s evening show. For weeks Soma Takao has been a mixed book by provoking Yuki Ueno while acting like he has no real interest in winning the DDT UNIVERSAL Title. Apparently under the motivation to expose Ueno as a weak champion, Takao told the rest of DAMNATION at ringside not to interfere in the match. Ueno took control at first but when Takao was on the offensive, he poured over his opponent’s head to provoke him. Ueno got revenge when they fought outside the ring. He grabbed the can, poured what was left over Takao’s head and then Moonsaulted off of the entrance gate. Back in the ring the Gin And Tonic was blocked. Even an attempt to counter the WR into the move wouldn’t work. Takao then went for the Reverse Gory Special Bomb but Ueno slipped out of the move and landed on his feet. In the end, Ueno hit the WR to earn his fifth successful defence.

After the match Ueno said he did his best because of the fans watching at home. He even had fun wrestling against Takao and thanked him for the drink. Hisaya Imabayashi asked Ueno who he wanted to defend against next. He chose Akito. It was Akito who chose him to be the assistant manager of DDT Foods. However Akito’s promise to support Ueno in that role rang hollow because he never helped out. They’ve been close workmates for years so it’s time for them to get even closer with the UNIVERSAL Title on the line. Akito was grateful to be nominated but doesn’t think he can compete with Ueno’s generation. Ueno was about to withdraw the challenge when Akito interrupted him. Akito said he couldn’t compete with Ueno but that doesn’t mean he cannot beat him! He accepts the challenge and the title match will take place in Hakata on 29th May.

Kazuki Hirata had a big target in his sights. “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL 2021” is coming up and Hirata was going to take out a certain figure important to that show. Did he mean Jun Akiyama? No, he meant Makoto Oishi so he won’t be in Akiyama’s corner for the KO-D Openweight Title match. His threats were ignored so Akiyama and HARASHIMA could start the match. When Hirata did get to fight with Oishi, he immediately tapped out to an Achilles Tendon Hold. Toru Owashi had to distract the referee so the match could continue. Yusuke Okada attacked Hirata’s leg and Akiyama then applied a Sharpshooter for another tap out. Owashi again had to grab the ref’s attention so he wouldn’t see Hirata giving up. The match did end when Oishi pinned Hirata with the Blue Dahlia, a Crucifix Driver style move. Akiyama and HARASHIMA had a stare down afterwards. Backstage Akiyama said he doesn’t want his title match with HARASHIMA to be upstaged by Keiji Muto Vs Naomichi Marufuji.

In the double title match, Chris Brookes came out on top against Saki Akai. Brookes was accompanied to the ring by Masahiro Takanashi while Akai had the rest of Eruption by her side. Akai’s big chance to win was by hitting the Quetzalcoatl. Unfortunately she was low on energy and took too much time to go for the pin, allowing Brookes to kick out. Akai had one more chance by Cradling Brookes out of the Praying Mantis Bomb. Brookes kicked out again, struck her with a knee and hit the Praying Mantis Bomb for the win. The two praised each other after the match and Brookes celebrated holding both the DDT Extreme and Iron Man Heavymetalweight Titles.

Konosuke Takeshita was given a rude welcome back from DAMNATION. Daisuke Sasaki led his team to ambush Eruption & Yuki Iino at first, then turn their focus to The 37KAMIINA. Takeshita and Kazusada Higuchi worked together to get rid of Yuji Hino but Hino wiped them out with a Double Lariat. Tetsuya Endo then hit Higuchi with a Sasuke Special out of the ring. Hino was finally stopped with a Spear from Iino but that left Iino alone against The 37KAMIINA. Takeshita & Shunma Katsumata defeated him with their new double team move the MADMAX. It is a Spike Brainbuster with Takeshita doing the Vertical Drop Brainbuster and Katsumata spiking it down with the Springboard X Factor. After the match Takeshita said he and Katsumata are the dark horses to win the Ultimate Tag League 2021. He also has his tag team with MAO continuing to MAO evolve and a tag team with Ueno ready to take on NOAH.

Speaking of NOAH, there was a surprise appearance by Kenoh after Match #3. He called out Sanshiro Takagi to come down to the ring. When Takagi arrived, Kenoh simply apologised for the recent inconvenience he caused when he caught the Coronavirus. Takagi gave Kenoh the Stunner after he bowed. He said it isn’t like Kenoh to be polite like this. Not when he is writing articles in Shukan Puroresu magazine threatening to not show up at “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL 2021” in June. Takagi is ordering Kenoh and the rest of Kongo to wrestle on the show. Kenoh started blasting insults at Takagi and said NOAH is better than DDT. Marufuji is better, Takashi Sugiura is better and even Muto is the more exciting champion! Suddenly Yukio Sakaguchi entered the ring to confront Kenoh. The two stared each other down while Takagi announced a full scale DDT Vs Kongo match to take place in Saitama Super Arena!

Takagi has just been part of a KO-D 8-Man Tag Team Titles defence with the rest of Team Thoroughbred. They defeated a team of DDT rookies in a match that went all over the place. Nabe Yakan attempted the People’s Elbow on Yuya Koroku but missed. Chikara went for the Sabre Chop but hit Takagi with it instead. Hideki Okatani almost had Takagi beaten in his weakened state. Yukio Naya and Toui Kojima had a back and forth. Takagi brought in the Dramatic Dream bike but Keigo Nakamura knocked him off with a Missile Dropkick. Nakamura then stole the bike and crashed into Takagi with it. Takagi intercepted Nakamura with the Stunner and pinned him with the Sit Down Himawari Bomb.

Akito cut down Mad Paulie to size by targeting his knees. One big Lift put Paulie in his back and when Akito applied the Figure 4 Leg Lock, Paulie gave up.

Poor little Kikutaro wasn’t in the mood for any wrestling. Imabayashi explained to Danshoku Dieno and Antonio Honda what happened to the guy recently. He was detained in Hawaii for two days and isn’t allowed enter America again. It was up to Dieno and Honda to cheer him up. The problem is everything they did reminded Kikutaro of his traumatic experience. Imabayashi tried to make him laugh with impersonations but that led to Dieno attacking him. Kikutaro finally snapped back to normal and fought Dieno off. Honda then made a Gongitsune joke but this time it was about a Cockatiel. This made Kikutaro angry because it reminded him of his pet parakeet back in America. He got rid of Honda and made Dieno submit to the Jail Hold while shouting “Don’t say Hawaii!” for the win.

It was announced that the winners of the Ultimate Tag League will be given a 1,000,000 yen prize from the sponsors BLACKOUT.

*V2 for Jun Akiyama.

There was one message Danshoku Dieno wanted to give the DDT fans today. If DDT is Shonen Jump then Dieno wants to be Gataro☆Man! The audience was warned that Dieno would be giving everyone the middle finger during his entrance so they were encouraged to do it back to him. He had his own crew with him too while Jun Akiyama was backed by the rest of Junretsu. Dieno’s wrestling style annoyed his opponent but couldn’t fully throw Akiyama off his game. A misfired Lip Lock took Yukinori Matsui out of action so Dieno called on Makoto Oishi to help him but Oishi was too conflicted to do anything. When Akiyama kicked out of a Moonsault, Dieno called upon the Video Team to play a video. It was of Dieno backstage telling a story to distract Akiyama in real time. That allowed Dieno to give Akiyama the Lip Lock and True Danshoku Driver for another nearfall. Dieno went extreme by pulling down the back of his tights and keeping them barely covering his modesty. He went for another Moonsault but Akiyama rolled out of the way. Fighting back against the sight of Dieno in his current state, Akiyama hit Knee Strikes and the Exploder but couldn’t put Dieno away. Akiyama had to grab Dieno by the crotch and give him the one of a kind Chinko Clutch Exploder Suplex for the victory.

Oishi rushed over to check on Dieno after the match. Dieno was able to get back up and bow to the audience before leaving, still with his gear barely covering him. Akiyama tried calling for Dieno to come back out but instead HARASHIMA walked down to the ring. HARASHIMA praised the champion for beating everyone DDT has thrown at him so far but Akiyama hasn’t defeated him yet. HARASHIMA loves DDT more than anyone else and he loves the KO-D Openweight Title the same way. Akiyama turned over to Hisaya Imabayashi and told him to book Akiyama Vs HARASHIMA on the biggest stage. He wants it on 6th June in Saitama Super Arena for “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL 2021”! Akiyama also asked for a match against HARASHIMA & Yuji Okabayashi for the KO-D Tag Team Titles with Oishi as his partner. Okabayashi walked out and everyone found out the next DDT show he is available for is in Niigata on 18th April so they can do the tag title match there.

Smile Pissari became the new KO-D Tag Champions by beating Eruption. Okabayashi’s head was too large for Kazusada Higuchi to apply the Brain Claw on. Yukio Sakaguchi put HARASHIMA in the Sleeper Hold but he was low enough for Okabayashi to grab and pick up into a Power Bomb. HARASHIMA followed up with the Somato for the three count. He thanked Okabayashi and the support from the fans for helping him win today. Okabayashi celebrated by saying his catchphrase. “Pissari!” Backstage Eruption said they intend to get a title rematch by winning the Ultimate Tag League.

So it turns out Konosuke Takeshita is taking time away from DDT to wrestle in AEW. If he is in America to evolve then Shunma Katsumata wants to go to Finland to evolve his love of saunas. But first The 37KAMIINA were put in danger by DAMNATION. In particular, Yuki Ueno found out first hand how powerful Soma Takao can be. Meanwhile MAO was the one who had to deal with Yuji Hino by process of elimination. Daisuke Sasaki distracting the referee allowed Takao to give Ueno a Low Blow and from there he won with the Gin And Tonic. Takao called Ueno a weak champion and he should remember this for their DDT UNIVERSAL Title match on 4th May.

After six months away from wrestling, Naomi Yoshimura returned to announce his first match back. He’s been receiving treatment for his cervical injuries since November and he is cleared to wrestle again on 9th May. Yoshimura requested his former Nautilus partner Yuki Ueno to be his opponent for his return match.

Gorgeous Matsuno’s final wrestling match before his 60th birthday was a big deal. He came out wearing an outfit from his IWA Japan days. His match then ended in 24 seconds when Tetsuya Endo easily pinned him using a Headscissors. Imabayashi got angry at the result and called for a restart. The same Headscissors spot happened but this time Matsuno kicked out. He got to wrestle a full match pairing off with Endo, Mad Paulie & Nobuhiro Shimatani. When things got tough for Matsuno, he tagged in Toru Owashi to keep the momentum going. Antonio Honda blinded Endo with Gongitsune, causing Endo to blindly give Shimatani the Swivel Torture Rack Bomb. Paulie was also blinded and he mistakenly squashed Shimatani with a Body Press. Matsuno got to do the Gorgeous Star Elbow and Honda followed up with the Diving Fist Drop for the win. Matsuno said he is thankful to continue wrestling into his 60s. However he didn’t become a pro wrestler until he was forty so he’s only been wrestling for 20 years. When he turns 60 next week it will be a new start for him. He wanted to continue his speech but Owashi took the microphone away from him.

There was a team of belt holders in the 8-Man Tag Match. Chris Brookes, Saki Akai and Yukio Naya are all champions. Yuki Iino brought out a regular belt to pose with them so he wouldn’t feel left out. Akai was singled out by Oishi & Akito until she was able to tag out. Kazuki Hirata jumped on Iino’s back and put the Hirata GO! glasses onto him to make him dance. Iino attacked everyone while dancing and then dropped Hirata with a Back Flip. Keigo Nakamura went for the Exquisite Springboard Moonsault onto Akai but Brookes pulled her out of harm’s way. Akai then pinned Nakamura with the Quetzalcoatl.

After the match Brookes and Akai shook hands. Akai then said she wanted to do something she’s been thinking about for a long time. She has previously won championships with Eruption and recently she’s been on the sideline watching her partners in singles title matches. She is currently the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Champion but she wants to fight for the DDT Extreme Title! Brookes agreed to the challenge and a Title Vs Title match between the two is booked for 4th May. Brookes hasn’t come up with a match stipulation yet but promises it will be something strange.

The debuting rookie Yuya Koroku was pitted against DDT’s latest signing Yusuke Okada. Koroku got to hit some Forearm Strikes, a Brainbuster and a Water Wheel Drop. Okada put him in a Crab Hold three times with the third time making Koroku submit. The two shook hands afterwards and Koroku bowed to the crowd. The rookie has been a trainee for around a year and a half but his training was paused for three months because of the pandemic. He wants to become bigger in size and make opponents say “I cannot beat Koroku.”

In the preshow match, Hideki Okatani beat the other rookie Toui Kojima. Okatani lead the match and provoked Kojima to attack him. He caught him with the Jumping Neckbreaker then used the Northern Lights Suplex for the finish.

At the start of the show Imabayashi announced the next KO-D 8-Man Tag Team Titles defence will happen on 4th May. Maki Itoh then promoted next weekend’s Tokyo Joshi Pro show at Korakuen Hall. She said the highlight will be her main eventing a Korakuen show for the first time in two years. There are other highlights but she thinks she is the best one.

6. Junretsu Vs The 37KAMIINA!: Jun Akiyama & Makoto Oishi defeated Yuki Ueno & Shunma Katsumata when Oishi submitted Katsumata with the Fujiyama Knee Lock (15:41).

Before the main event began, Shunma Katsumata reminded everyone that Konosuke Takeshita has taken the month off to evolve. Katsumata said he wants to evolve too and will do so in the sauna while he waits for Takeshita’s return. Jun Akiyama put up a bet where if his team won then Katsumata would have to invite him to a sauna. If The 37KAMIINA won then Makoto Oishi would agree to let Katsumata hold his baby daughter. Yusuke Okada was in Junretsu’s corner for the match and encouraged Akiyama to hurt Katsumata. He explained it’s because he is supposed to hate BOYZ wrestlers after he was labelled a YaroZ wrestler. Junretsu ended up winning with Oishi tapping out Katsumata while Akiyama blocked off Yuki Ueno.

After the match Akiyama told Katsumata to prepare five sauna invites because Akiyama wants to bring his family with him. Their victory speech was interrupted by Danshoku Dieno. He walked out carrying the defeated body of Hideki Okatani who he beat earlier in the show. Dieno warned that on 11th April, Akiyama will end up like this because the impossible can happen in DDT! Dieno stuck his middle finger up Okatani’s butt and then flipped off Akiyama with it.

Tetsuya Endo wanted to pay tribute to Ryuichi Sekine by doing the Let’s Combine in his match. However his opponents kept cutting him off. Meanwhile Yuji Hino and Yuki Iino continued their feud by fighting and chopping each other around ringside. Endo finally locked in the Let’s Combine on HARASHIMA thanks to Daisuke Sasaki using the Crossface Lock on Iino and Hino grabbing Chris Brookes to cut them all off. Hino countered Iino’s Spear with a Lariat but couldn’t get the pin. DAMNATION eliminated the loose ends so Hino could do the Fucking BOMB. He then pinned Iino with what he calls the Best German Suplex In The World. Hino promoted a show he is doing on 23rd May in Chiba 2AW Square after the match.

The return of springtime means Mad Paulie is in heat again, red face and all. Eruption had to apply the Sleeper Hold from Yukio Sakaguchi and the Brain Claw from Kazusada Higuchi at the same time to stop his rampage.

Dieno purposely did Danshoku versions of Akiyama’s moveset against Okatani. He then abducted Okatani after beating him, setting up the end of show angle already mentioned above.

Several Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title changes took place during Match #2 while the belt holder was not a legal participant. Kazuki Hirata pinned his own tag partner Saki Akai then ran off backstage with the belt. Yukinori Matsui chased after him and the fans suddenly heard a three count followed by the bell ringing. DJ Nira then walked out carrying the Iron Man Title but he explained he wasn’t the new champion. The new champion is a stuffed toy of Chiba-kun, the mascot of Chiba! Hirata ran out, attacked Chiba-kun and was easily out-wrestled by the toy. MAO grabbed the toy and gave it the Michinoku Driver II but Hirata kicked him away and stole the pin, becoming champion again. The actual match ended with Antonio Honda pinning Hirata to win the title. Akai then pinned Honda for the belt and spent the rest of the show fighting off attackers.
