7. Harimao Vs The 37KAMIINA!: Kazusada Higuchi & Naomi Yoshimura defeated MAO & Shunma Katsumata when Yoshimura pinned Katsumata with the Throwaway Power Bomb (20:39).
A truck tire was brought into the main event by ShunMao. They and Harimao were almost counted out over brawling around ringside but MAO was able to delay the ref’s count long enough to use Shunma Katsumata for some big tire related attacks until Harimao finally stopped them. After the match ShunMao said they would like to fight forever with Kazusada Higuchi & Naomi Yoshimura. For that reason they would like to be nominated as the next challengers for the KO-D Tag Team Titles.
Tetsuya Endo wants to go into his KO-D Openweight Title match at perfect condition. He is using his valuable ring time working on his different moves so he doesn’t have to rely on the Burning Star Press on Sasuke Special to win. He was impressed with his opponent and BURNING stablemate Yuya Koroku and thinks the current form of DDT is bright.
Gamma’s first match on a regular DDT show was put together because of Yukinori Matsui. The two of them go way back to the days of Michinoku Pro and Osaka Pro. Gamma is retiring from pro wrestling on 14th August but Matsui is unable to attend the event because he will be working on a DDT show that day. Even though Gamma has no connection to DDT, Matsui reached out to the company to book him once before his retirement. Gamma thanked him for that and said if it wasn’t for Matsui’s kindness he never would have returned to pro wrestling when Osaka Pro was launched. He has gone on to survive wrestling for around 25 years and will get to retire in good condition. HARASHIMA said it is said to see a wrestler from his generation retire but told Gamma to keep running as fast as he can to the end.
Getting to wrestle Gamma meant a lot to Yuki Ueno. He didn’t discover Osaka Pro until after he became a pro wrestler but doing so got Ueno to discover how cool, big and strong Gamma is. Today was Ueno’s first match since recovering from covid and he feels energized again from being in the ring with HARASHIMA, Makoto Oishi and Gamma. Oishi told Ueno he will challenge him for the DDT Universal Title when Ueno wins it back.
The masked man in briefs got involved in the Pheromones match by taking Kazuki Hirata hostage up in the venue’s balcony while the tag match happened below. Toru Owashi & Soma Takao didn’t care so continued fighting. So Yuki Iino tried to attack them with the masked man’s underwear. Hisaya Imabayashi wanted to put a stop to it and fought fire with fire by attacking Pheromones with his own underwear covering his hand. The end result was Imabayashi and all of the wrestlers fainting from having underwear shoved into their faces. Nobody was left conscious so Matsui called off the match. Danshoku Dieno later said this is the way DDT should because it is going the wrong direction under Imabayashi’s watch.
Konosuke Takeshita sent in a message promoting his 10th Anniversary show in Nishinari on 10th September by announcing a bunch of Osaka wrestlers booked for the show. He’ll be back in Japan for about two months before returning to his overseas excursion.

An unexpected grudge formed recently between Daisuke Sasaki and El Unicorn. The teenage masked wrestler was humiliated at Korakuen Hall last weekend when Sasaki unmasked him. Unicorn wants payback and asked for a match against DAMNATION T.A again. Sasaki is already a the stage where he is considering a Mask Vs Hair match to bring this conflict to a swift and decisive end.

The Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere Gauntlet is back after a two and a half year absence. The match combines the Battle Royal with a Ladder match with the prize hanging above the ring. Usually there are several prizes on offer but for now DDT is saying there will be only one Gauntlet and the winner of the match is whoever retrieves it.
A new masked member of Pheromones showed up on yesterday’s show. There are guesses going around it is Michael Nakazawa because the mystery man pulled down his pants and used them to do the Ultimate Venom Arm. Pheromones are sort of denying it by saying it can’t be him because he should be doing his job in America. So either Nakazawa is getting a Pheromones style gimmick makeover or he is purposely being used as a red herring.
The new debut Takeshi Masada is having his first pro match after only three months of training. It will be the quickest amount of time any trainee has ever made their debut in DDT. The 21 year old from Osaka stands 180cm high and weighs in at 84kg. His athletic background is in both basketball and Shorinji Kempo.

Now that Tetsuya Endo has recovered 100%, he is ready to give back to the fans for their support by reclaiming the KO-D Openweight Title. It is a match Kazusada Higuchi wanted more than anything else too.
No matter who came out of the DDT Universal Title match yesterday, Yuki Ueno is getting the next shot anyway. Yusuke Okada originally brought him up as the next challenger if he became champion. Masahiro Takanashi kept the belt instead but liked the idea enough to do the same. Takanashi’s reason though is because he is looking for challengers from the younger generation and Ueno may very well be the absolute best out of all of them. If Takanashi beats him then he will start looking outside of DDT for more young challengers.

Ganbare☆Pro visits Osaka so Yumehito Imanari can team with the region’s strongest pro wrestler Magnitude Kishiwada! He has a little bit of history with Ken Ohka. The last time he was in Ganpro was in 2018 where he faced Ohka one on one. Kishiwada won the match but Ohka convinced him to do an immediate rematch. A comment made in the past is motivating Imanari to prove his doubter wrong. When he was part of a main event in Korakuen Hall back in October 2020, Shigehiro Irie singled him out as the only person in the match underserving of that spot. Now that Imanari has the Spirit Of Ganbare Title, he wants to defend it against Irie in Korakuen to prove him wrong. Irie was surprised to hear the challenge because they haven’t crossed paths that often since that show almost two years ago. He is impressed with Imanari’s new found confidence but warns when you fight Irie, you will lose both your confidence and your championship!
Tatsuhito Takaiwa is celebrating his 30th year as a pro wrestler. His anniversary match has not been decided yet.
There is another wrestling anniversary being celebrated on the show, although it is a lot shorter than Takaiwa’s. Haruka Kato has been wrestling for over a decade but it is her alter ego HARUKAZE who recently reached the 5 year milestone. She asked Makoto to be her opponent for the special occasion. The reason is because after Kato left Stardom, Makoto was the first person to get her a booking despite having never known her previously. Ever since then Kato credits Makoto for keeping her in pro wrestling.
The re-debuting Yoshiko Hasegawa was born in Saitama on 28th February, 1987. She is 150cm tall and weighs 47kg. She originally wrestled for Actwres girl’Z from 2019 to 2020 until a neck injury took her out of action for almost the entirety of 2021. She officially left Actwres right at the end of last year and made her wrestling reappearance at “WRESTLE SEKIGAHARA” earlier this month, signing with Ganbare☆Pro.
Shota will be going on an American excursion this September with not concrete plan on when to return. He decided to take a massive gamble and see if he can make it from scratch as a pro wrestler in America until he is all out of options. He has connections over there but right now has nothing guaranteed for him once he makes the trip. Ganpro is giving him a send off match against his own ROMANCE DAWN partner Soma Takao.

For one night only Naomi Yoshimura is bringing together a DNA reunion! He asked DDT to give him a match teaming with Kota Umeda and Keisuke Okuda, saying long time fans will understand why. In DNA Yoshimura led a faction called the Naomi Kingdom. Okuda was a member of the unit and Umeda was their biggest rival. DDT agreed to Yoshimura’s request and gathered together a suitable trio of opponents. It’s Yoshimura’s old tag partner HARASHIMA as well as Yukio Sakaguchi & Hideki Okatani from Eruption!

The main event briefly turned into a literal tug of war when MAO and Chris Brookes found a rope near ringside and each grabbed an end of it. Next thing you know the rest of The 37KAMIINA as well as Yuji Hino and Akito got involved. Naturally, Hino’s raw strength meant his side easily won the tug of war. The 37KAMIINA won the actual wrestling match though. Shunma Katsumata & Toui Kojima also tried and failed to pin MAO for the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title afterwards. Teamwork was the topic of the day among The 37KAMIINA. They have two teams entering the Ultimate Tag League with last year’s winners split apart. Konosuke Takeshita hopes he & Yuki Ueno will meet Katsumata & MAO in the final. Katsumata & MAO said they are counting on their history together entering the NOAH Global Jr. Tag League as well as being a team since their NωA days to take them far.
Kazuki Hirata was terrified of facing Pheromones again after his experience with them yesterday. He felt reassured when Bodyguard told him to follow his lead and leave the match to him. Things went well until Bodyguard decided to give everyone a live performance of his entrance song. He even signed autographs for Hisaya Imabayashi and Ken Kato while he sang on the microphone. While this was all going on, Bodyguard was oblivious to Pheromones torturing Hirata into submission in the ring behind him.
Antonio Honda almost tricked HARASHIMA & Toru Owashi into kissing each other.
Katsumata brought out boxing gloves for his match against Yuya Koroku. When they fought outside the ring, Katsumata taped Koroku’s hands to the ring post then repeatedly punched him in the ribs while wearing the gloves.

A few days ago Tetsuya Endo was the oldest person wrestling in the DDTeeeen!! show at 30 years old. Fast forward to today and he is the youngest person on his team next to two wrestlers in their fifties. Jun Akiyama joked there should be a DDT spin-off for his age group called DDTFifteeeen!! because he is still going strong. Bodyguard joined in the fun and said he thought Endo was meant to be getting people like Akiyama on his side, not against him.
The opposing team are licking their wounds and turning their attention to the Ultimate Tag League starting at the end of the month. Kazusada Higuchi gave Hideki Okatani his stamp of approval and said he doesn’t care how he acts because he believes in him. Okatani swore to beat BURNING at the Tag League. Naomi Yoshimura said his team will definitely reach the final so it is up to Eruption whether or not they will join him there.
Toui Kojima got the jump on Konosuke Takeshita during his ring entrance. Despite his best efforts, his momentum ran out and Takeshita took control with submission hold after submission hold until Kojima finally gave up. Takeshita understands why Kojima acted this way because he felt the same when he wrestled his seniors at the same age. He knows a match like this can be the turning point for a young wrestler. Kojima promised to become stronger and stronger because if he doesn’t, he won’t be able to beat anybody in DDT.
Kazuki Hirata charged up his Tegatana arm by sticking his hand into Danshoku Dieno’s backside. He then deflected the Gongitsune to strike Antonio Honda with his charged up arm and win the match.

In Miyu Yamashita’s mind there is only one person she should main event Sumo Hall against TJPW’s biggest show ever. She chose Shoko Nakajima. The two are the longest serving members of the TJPW roster and both made their official pro wrestling debut at the same time. It was on 17th August, 2013 at Sumo Hall. There isn’t a match-up more fitting.
The pro wrestling debut of Juria Nagano will also be on the show. Nagano was born in Shimane on 10th February, 1996. She is 159cm tall and has a 2nd black belt in Shito-ryu Karate. She also works as an action actress as well as a nurse. Sanshiro Takagi scouted her for TJPW and she is currently deep into her preparations for her debut.

Every match on this show will have a 15 minute time limit. Jun Akiyama will also be on commentary instead of wrestling.
One day after defeating Yuji Okabayashi on DDT’s final show of the year, Konosuke Takeshita is looking for new challenges in 2022. When Takeshita returned home after yesterday’s show, he already saw pictures on social media of Okabayashi already in the gym doing leg exercises. That inspired him to start training again too. Nobody came out after the match to challenge Takeshita for the KO-D Openweight Title which is why he is going out there to seek opponents. First up is Shinya Aoki for a special singles match celebrating DDT’s 25th Anniversary. It’s been two and a half years since their last singles match together and a lot has changed for both of them since then.
Newly freelanced Maya Yukihi will be appearing in DDT for several dates in January. She is also booked for the 7th January and 22nd January events.
Hideki Okatani has unexpectedly volunteered to join Eruption! He approached Kazusada Higuchi after yesterday’s show with the request. He wants to join because there are wrestlers from his class and below that are joining units while he had nothing after Junretsu disbanded. Both Yukio Sakaguchi & Saki Akai approve of the idea but Higuchi wants to find out if Okatani is ready to join them. They will have a singles match so Higuchi can judge him firsthand.
A decision was made by DDT to turn the KO-D 8-Man Tag Team Titles back into the KO-D 10-Man Tag Team Titles. DDT made the decision in reaction to the lifting of restrictions allowing bigger crowds to gather in one place. However the current champions are not allowed to add a 5th member and must defend the titles in a 4 Vs 5 Handicap Match. The DDT Variety Team are the current champions but have not yet been told about the change in rules. If there is any chance the champions have of retaining the belts it is because Sanshiro Takagi has for some reason put together a team of challengers that do not want to work with each other.

Matsumoto will be providing her unpredictable match rules against Risa Sera and when all is said and done there will be one last match pitting both sides at their fullest against each other.

The original plan was for Daisuke Sasaki Vs Minoru Fujita to happen in October. Fujita fell ill with covid and spent weeks in the ICU in no condition to wrestle so Sasaki defended the DDT Universal Title against Isami Kodaka instead. After Sasaki beat Masahiro Takanashi yesterday he demanded that Fujita be his next challenger no matter what condition he is in. Fujita accepted, knowing that he is nowhere near his physical best but still confident he can beat Sasaki. Just like Takanashi, he is fighting for the pride of ChocoPro!
