1. SAGAT defeated Shota Kofuji with the Goregrind (8:58)
2. Takumi Tsukamoto & Ayumu Honda defeated KUBITO & Daichi Kazato when Honda submitted Kazato with an Arm Bar (11:19).
3. Minoru Fujita defeated Gouma Ryu with an Inside Cradle (0:18).
3a. Rematch: Gouma Ryu Vs Minoru Fujita ended in a Double Countout (5:14).
4. Isami Kodaka & Tomoki Hatano defeated Daiki Shimomura & Lil’ Kraken when Hatano pinned Kraken with the Suigintou (13:38)
5. Ryota Nakatsu, Kazusada Higuchi, Naomi Yoshimura & Yuki Ishida defeated Ryuichi Sekine, FUMA, Takato Nakano & Masato Kamino when Nakatsu pinned Nakano with the V Slider (14:57).

Naomi Yoshimura made his BASARA wrestling debut appearing with the rest of Harimao in the main event. He has appeared in BASARA as a second for the other Harimao wrestlers many times previously but today was his first time wrestling in BASARA. Ryota Nakatsu praised Hyakusho Ikki and Aijin Tag for being strong opponents before congratulating both Yoshimura & Kazusada Higuchi for being back. He also didn’t forget Yuki Ishida by telling him he’s glad he’s doing well. Nakatsu also revealed that back when Yoshimura was a trainee, Nakatsu tried scouting him for BASARA but DDT didn’t want to give him up because he is so good.

When Match #3 ended in under 20 seconds, Gouma Ryu asked for an immediate rematch and accused Minoru Fujita of being a fee thief when he was refused. Fujita was offended by the remark and challenged Ryu to put his legal career on the line if he really wants the rematch. Ryu agreed and fought his heart out because his career as a lawyer is more important to him then pro wrestling. The two ended up fighting out of the ring and both were counted out. Gouma didn’t win but he didn’t lose either so his legal job is safe.

Judomaster had to pull out of the show after suffering from gout so Ayumu Honda took his place.

Meanwhile Back In Japan, TJPW Golden Week Title Matches, Namba’s Dream Coming True

I’m going to be travelling to Las Vegas tomorrow and it’s going to be a long trip ahead. You will know I have arrived safe and sound when the guides for the DDT and Tokyo Joshi Pro shows get posted. That should be on Tuesday night Vegas time but if more things get announced or even changed it will have to wait until Wednesday morning. I’ll try to at least stay up to date with the show results for the rest of the week but show reports may take a while because I’m still meant to be on holiday. Enjoy the week and let it all seep in!

They believe Watase is not being honest about his recovery and is not wrestling at 100%. The sooner this match happens, the better their chances are to win the tag titles.

There is only one person HARUKAZE believes she can beat in a fair fight and she is desperate to finally win one match before her wrestling career is put on hiatus. So she’s breaking the emergency glass and picked Ken Ohka to be her final opponent!

The Ganbare☆Joshi match will feature Nanami from Diana and Kirari Wakana from Ice Ribbon.

The show will also have LEONA from Dradition taking part in a match. He and Namba were classmates in the same university so they both know each other from before they entered the pro wrestling industry. One of Namba’s dreams was to announce LEONA for a match so it will come true after all.

The annual singles tournament in BASARA is back for its 9th edition after skipping last year when the promotion changed around its show formats. This year’s Chouten ~Itadaki~ tournament will be a single elimination bracket. Every match in the first round has a 10 minute time limit with 2 Count Pinfalls needed to win. Round 2 onwards will use regular wrestling rules with no time limit.

2. Best 2 Out Of 3 Falls: KUBITO (1) Vs Judomaster (1) ended in a Draw.
2a. KUBITO submitted Judomaster with the Crossface Lock (1:47).
2b. Judomaster pinned KUBITO with the Ippon (0:53).
2c. KUBITO Vs Judomaster ended in a Double Disqualification (1:58).
3. Daichi Kazato, Banana Senga & Tsutomu Oosugi defeated Lil’ Kraken, Brahman Shu & Brahman Kei when Kazato pinned Kraken with a Leg Roll Clutch Hold (10:15).
4. Gouma Ryu defeated Kikutaro with the Running Neckbreaker Drop (11:28).
5. Iron Fist Tag Team Titles: Ryuichi Sekine & FUMA (c) defeated Daiki Shimomura & Keisuke Ishii when FUMA pinned Shimomura with the Hunter’s Suplex (14:27).
*V1 for Hyakusho Ikki.
6. Union MAX Title: Ryota Nakatsu (c) defeated Isami Kodaka with the Super Figure 4 Arm Lock (16:34).
*V1 for Ryota Nakatsu.

The hometown edge didn’t work for Isami Kodaka. He was already on the brink of defeat when Ryota Nakatsu gave him the V Slider but he was done for once he was put in the Super Figure 4 Arm Lock. Nakatsu said Kodaka escaped from his Arm Bar so many times during the match that he got fed up with him to the point where he admits the finish may have been overkill. Kodaka told him he once got advice from a senior to keep fighting strong juniors otherwise you will get old as a wrestler. So Kodaka will keep on challenging Nakatsu. The next Chouten ~Itadaki~ will begin soon and Nakatsu declared he will enter it. He plans to win the tournament so he can nominate his next Union MAX Title challenger.

The team of Ryuichi Sekine & FUMA are now going by the team name Hyakusho Ikki. Their opponents Daiki Shimomura & Keisuke Ishii weren’t considered to be a proper team when they challenged the Iron Fist Tag Team Champions but those concerns were pushed aside once the match began. The champs retained the belts and Sekine quickly left the show to go back to his village because the busy farming season is coming up. Shimomura wants to continue teaming with Ishii and the feeling is mutual. Ishii is getting addicted to BASARA’s charm and would like to enter the Chouten ~Itadaki~.

Kikutaro had a lot of legal questions to ask Gouma Ryu while they were fighting. Things such as is it a non-consensual wrestling crime to say “I’m going to kill you” to your opponent?

Judomaster complained about losing to KUBITO so quickly, claiming it was done via a foul. The two agreed to continue their match as a Best Two Out Of Three Falls contest. Judomaster won the second falls and quickly decided to leave until KUBITO called him the “Red Masked Man”. He returned for the third fall and got unmasked to reveal he is Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi underneath. KUBITO then decided to put the mask over the referee’s face, obscuring his vision. Hiroshi then unmasked KUBITO and the referee decided to disqualify them both for the fouls.

Welcome To The Crazy Period Of The Year

This week’s Tokyo Joshi Pro fan club show will feature six matches and the first one announced is the return of the Costume Change Match. Everyone is going to be wrestling in someone else’s gear.

Mifu Ashida will not be at the show due to a scheduling conflict.

This is the full card for the TJPW show that is happening in Japan while the Las Vegas trip is going on. Four matches that are really six when you count all rounds of the main event. Ryo Mizunami and Kakeru Sekiguchi are being called in from the reserves while the CMLL luchadora Tabata makes her TJPW debut. Tabata is the daughter of Lluvia and the stepdaughter of Ultimo Guerrero. She has been touring Japan with Stardom for an entire month while also appearing in a few Japanese indies here and there.

BASARA “BASARA 274 ~UTAGE AKA – HIEN~”, 25/03/2025

1. Takato Nakano defeated Shota Kofuji with the Takagari (8:57).
2. Isami Kodaka Vs Kosuke Sato ended in a Double Countout (8:57).
3. Keisuke Ishii defeated Daiki Shimomura with the Kneel Kick (9:08).
4. Yuko Miyamoto defeated Masato Kamino with the Moonsault Press (9:32).
5. Ryuichi Sekine, FUMA & Ryota Nakatsu defeated Takumi Tsukamoto, SAGAT & Yasu Urano when Nakatsu pinned SAGAT with a Back Roll Clutch Hold (19:39).

The thought processing between Ryota Nakatsu and Isami Kodaka could not be any more different going into their Union MAX Title match on 12th April. Kodaka is trying to think of new moves to use so he can beat Nakatsu and become champion again. Meanwhile Nakatsu is not going to think of anything and will just rely on his natural ability to retain the belt.

The match between Masato Kamino and Yuko Miyamoto might as well have been a tag match between Aijin Tag and Yankee Two Kenju. There was a ref bump so Miyamoto brought a plastic table into the ring to attack his opponent with. Takato Nakano ran in to stop him and together with Kamino started doing double team moves. Then Miyamoto was rescued by Kodaka so they could do the same. Kodaka wiped out Nakano with a Topé and Miyamoto pinned Kamino with the Moonsault Press although there was a delay with the pinfall from waiting for the replacement referee to show up.

Let’s see if iron sharpening iron is the right idea for Keisuke Ishii and Daiki Shimomura. They fought each other today to prepare themselves for an Iron Fist Tag Team Titles match on 12th April. Both were feeling sore afterwards but Ishii thinks the idea was a success. Maybe he’s just saying that because he won. They also realised they don’t have much time now to start learning double team moves. As for the champions, Ryuichi Sekine & FUMA are expecting the title match to be interesting. They don’t care about double teams as much because you only really need just one move to win.

Kodaka and Kosuke Sato were so focused on trying to out-wrestle each other they ended up getting themselves both counted out of the ring! Their match made its way outside and when Kodaka tried to get back in on time, Sato grabbed him in a Front Neck Lock on the ring apron and the ref finished counting to 20. Kodaka gave Sato his approval and encouraged him to challenge Ikuto Hidaka for the BJW Jr. Heavyweight Title at the Yokohama Budokan on 5th May. Sato promised that if he does win that championship he will come back to BASARA and nominate Kodaka as his challenger.

Later this year sees the return of the Chouten ~Itadaki~ tournament after it took a break in 2024. Kodaka said this year’s tournament will begin with the 1st Round on 30th April, the 2nd Round on 14th May and the Semi Finals plus Final on 23rd July. It will be a 16 man single elimination tournament and every match in Round 1 will have a 10 minute time limit with only 2 Count Pinfalls needed to win.

Minoru Fujita will be returning to wrestle in BASARA on 12th April.

This looks a little bit awkward. Minoru Suzuki clearly enjoys being in the ring with Yuki Ueno but he did just take the DDT Universal Title away from him.
