2. 3 Way Match: Keisuke Ishii defeated KUDO and Shunma Katsumata when Ishii pinned Katsumata with the High Angle Double Arm DDT (8:47).
3. Sanshiro Takagi & Kazuki Hirata defeated Shigehiro Irie & Mike Bailey when Hirata pinned Irie with the One Shot Miracle Cradle (11:30).
*Kazuki Hirata wins Shigehiro Irie’s Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere Contract.
4. Yoshihiro Takayama, Danshoku Dino & Royce Isaacs defeated Toru Owashi, Kazusada Higuchi & Antonio Honda when Takayama pinned Honda with an Armbar (15:10).
5. Saki Akai, The Second Local Triumph! Kyoto Specialty 6-Man Tag Match: Yukio Sakaguchi, Masahiro Takanashi & Saki Akai defeated HARASHIMA, Yasu Urano & Shoko Nakajima when Akai pinned Nakajima with the Rookie Award (14:13).
6. Takeshita & Akito Vs DAMNATION!: Daisuke Sasaki & Tetsuya Endo defeated Konosuke Takeshita & Akito when Endo pinned Takeshita with the Shooting Star Press (17:11).

Tetsuya Endo’s Shooting Star Press was at its most effective yet when he used the move to pin Konosuke Takeshita. Endo recently adopted the move as his new finisher and showed everyone that it is strong enough to beat the KO-D Openweight Champion. Endo called Takeshita a miserable champions and then said he will easily win the belt from him at Korakuen Hall next week.

Saki Akai got to enjoy her homecoming match with Shuten-dōji. When she won the match she told the audience she never thought she would return to Kyoto as a pro wrestler but she was very happy to win the match with her “older brothers”. The entire team then celebrated in the ring with some sake, the first glass of many for the rest of the night.

Danshoku Dino is putting together a new group called the International Gay Factory, or IGF for short. Royce Isaacs and his Miracle Ass is Dino’s first signing. Isaacs demonstrated his Miracle Ass by using it to split apart a pair of chopsticks before the match began. When they won their match Dino told everyone that the legend of Isaacs began today in Kyoto. It will help Dino accomplish his plans for IGF.

Kazuki Hirata surprised everyone by pinning Shigehiro Irie to win his Right To Challenge Contract. The result came when everyone in the match danced then Irie tried to interrupt it with the Beast Bomber. Hirata ducked the Bomber and rolled up Irie with the One Shot Miracle Cradle for the three count. When Hirata got over the shock of winning he realised that by holding this contract, he cannot be banished from Japan if T2Hide lose to NωA next week! Hirata promises not only to hold on to the contract but also win the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles. Then he can move on to becoming a singles champion when he cashes in!

1. Makoto Oishi & Shunma Katsumata defeated Kouki Iwasaki & Guanchulo when Oishi pinned Guanchulo with the Miracle Ecstasy (7:30).
2. Akito & Yasu Urano defeated Kazusada Higuchi & Mizuki Watase when Akito pined Watase with the Hanamasa (9:55).
3. KUDO defeated MAO with the Diving Double Knee Drop (8:33).
4. Yoshihiro Takayama, Danshoku Dino & Keisuke Ishii defeated Sanshiro Takagi, Toru Owashi & Kazuki Hirata when Takayama pinned Hirata with the Running Knee Lift (7:48).
5. DAMNATION Vs FREEDOMS!: Jun Kasai & GENTARO defeated Daisuke Sasaki & Mad Paulie when GENTARO pinned Paulie with a School Boy (13:55).
6. Shuten-dōji Vs DAMNATION!: Shuji Ishikawa & Tetsuya Endo defeated Yukio Sakaguchi & Masahiro Takanashi when Ishikawa pinned Sakaguchi with the Splash Mountain (10:08).
7. ROAD TO SSA MAIN EVENT Special Tag Match: HARASHIMA & Soma Takao Vs Konosuke Takeshita & Antonio Honda ended in a Time Limit Draw (30:00).

DDT’s go home show for “JUDGEMENT 2017” ended with a 30 minute draw in the main event. HARASHIMA and Konosuke Takeshita fought hard in the final minutes and the bell rang as Takeshita attempted to do the German Suplex. When the two calmed down Takeshita pleaded with HARASHIMA to be the strongest he has ever been when they wrestle in the Saitama Super Arena. Takeshita wants nothing more than to win the KO-D Openweight Title by beating HARASHIMA at his absolute best. HARASHIMA questioned Takeshita’s implication that he was the stronger wrestler today. He assured his challenger that he trains to become stronger everyday and he will be at his strongest in Saitama. Amon Tsurumi ended the show by hyping up the title match as the two wrestlers stared each other down as they shook hands.

Size was the difference maker between Shuji Ishikawa and Yukio Sakaguchi and Sakaguchi found that out the hard way. He had to piggyback onto Ishikawa to apply a Sleeper Hold but that was countered into the Fire Thunder Driver. One Splash Mountain later and that was it. Ishikawa told Sakaguchi that he would kill him here but he’s tired. So Sakaguchi and Masakatsu Funaki better be prepared for DAMNATION in Saitama.

Daisuke Sasaki stole Jun Kasai’s goggles during their tag match and wore them to mimic the Pearl Harbour Splash. In return Kasai stole Sasaki’s leather jacket, leading to a duel of chairs between the two. The two were separated to prevent more fighting and Kasai left with the jacket still in his possession. Another brawl took place and both wrestlers got their items back when they were pulled apart.

Things have been rough for Team DNA lately. The KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Champions have been losing their preparation matches against their upcoming opponents and today was no different. Over in the Smile Squash camp Yasu Urano isn’t certain over his team’s chances despite being victorious today. Their teamwork has been good since Soma Takao joined but Urano thinks their recent wins come more from their individual strength rather than teamwork. Elsewhere Makoto Oishi thinks NωA have the best chances of winning the belts in Saitama. He says they are all in perfect condition and are the most familiar with their own weaknesses.

Poison Sawada JULIE has been added to the Dramatic Rumble. He is coming out of retirement for the special occasion.

5. KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles: Kazusada Higuchi, Kouki Iwasaki & Mizuki Watase (c) defeated KUDO, Yukio Sakaguchi & Masahiro Takanashi when Iwasaki pinned Takanashi with the Leg Capture Suplex (12:18).
*V1 for Team DNA.
Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title: Kotatsu defeated Hyota Echizenya (c) by Pinfall (7:12 pm).
*Kotatsu becomes the 1,207th champion.
6. DDT Extreme Title – Dog Chain Death Match: Jun Kasai (c) defeated Mad Paulie with the Pearl Harbour Splash (13:53).
*V3 for Jun Kasai.
7. Ultra Special Single Match: Yoshihiro Takayama defeated Danshoku Dino with the Lip Lock (10:36).
8. Humanity Is A Battle Blooming In A Huge Ring Of Naniwa! Osaka Specialty Special Tag Match: HARASHIMA & Akito defeated Konosuke Takeshita & Antonio Honda when HARASHIMA pinned Honda with the Somato (19:26).

Konosuke Takeshita remains confident he can beat HARASHIMA at Saitama Super Arena. He’s been telling himself he is the future of DDT ever since he debuted. Now that the Saitama Super Arena main event has been decided, he must beat HARASHIMA there to prove it. HARASHIMA told him he’s looking forward to the match and shook his hand with a big smile. But when Takeshita didn’t smile back, HARASHIMA’s expression changed and he refused to let go of the handshake until they were pulled away.

For the last week Soma Takao has been thinking of his own future. He was advised by Amon Tsurumi to join one of DDT’s units in order to improve his position on the roster. At the end of the show Takao approached Smile Squash and asked if he could join their side. He fought against them many times and ultimately he wants to beat HARASHIMA but until then he would like to work with him. T2Hide interrupted, Sanshiro Takagi wants Takao to join them instead. They’ll even trade Kazuki Hirata to Smile Squash if they have to! Yasu Urano told him they don’t want Hirata. Then NωA came out. They want Takao to be an idol like them. Tsurumi stopped the arguing and came up with a solution. There will be a Takao Battle Match on 12th February between Takao, Urano, Takagi and Oishi. If Takao wins he gets to join whichever unit he wants. If any other wrestler wins then their unit claims Takao. Any of the units not currently involved in the match can also enter it if they want to.

Danshoku Dino actually had Yoshihiro Takayama beaten with the Hell Car Combination with Makoto Oishi but pulled him up from the pin before the ref counted to three. Dino wasn’t done with him yet. He applied the Lip Lock but Takayama Hulked out of it and gave Dino his own Lip Lock. It was so powerful that Dino lost consciousness and was easily pinned afterwards. When he woke up Takayama told him the match was a painful struggle but the fighting is over. Takayama is no longer afraid of Dino. They both hugged and screamed “No Fear!” together.

Jun Kasai survived a Choke Slam through a table to beat Mad Paulie. A dog chain kept the two close to each other but Kasai decided to detach it from his collar and use the chain to tie up Paulie. With no way of escaping, Paulie was a sitting duck for the Pearl Harbour Splash. After the match Kasai nominated his DDT Extreme Title challenger for Saitama Super Arena. It’s Daisuke Sasaki! Kasai mentioned he has a relative’s wedding ceremony to attend that day but he wouldn’t miss this match for anything, even his parent’s funeral!

There is no question now that Team DNA are deserving KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Champions. They won the belts without beating the previous champions Shuten-dōji so naturally Shuten-dōji wanted the first title shot. Masahiro Takanashi’s run of victories ended when Kouki Iwasaki pinned him with the Leg Capture Suplex. Yukio Sakaguchi looked like he still wanted to fight after the match but instead he took one of the title belts and handed it to Kazusada Higuchi, accepting the result.

Hyota Echizenya appeared with the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title to talk with Takagi and Tsurumi. He entered the room wearing a Kotatsu table over his back and then invited the others to sit by the Kotatsu. Echizenya talked about being unable to write his current manuscript because of the pressures of defending the Iron Man title all the time. Their conversation was interrupted by Gota Ihashi and Dai Suzuki both wanting to attack the champion. Takagi stood up to defend Echizenya but accidentally flipped the Kotatsu on top of him in the process. 1…2…3! The Kotatsu table is the new champion! Tsurumi told Echizenya to pin the table and win the belt back but he declined. Echizenya originally won the title by beating the table so it is only fitting that the table won it back from him. He thanked DDT for the wonderful experience and he will now go back to writing his manuscript.

Naomi Yoshimura denied that he lost his tag match against DAMNATION. It was Yuki Ueno who submitted so under Yoshimura’s logic he’s the one who lost.

Guanchulo yelled about how much he hates children while he fought Yuni.

The opening match was held under Scramble Bunkhouse Lucha Glasses Rules.

0. King Of Dark Title: Gota Ihashi defeated Nobuhiro Shimatani (c) with a Running Body Attack (4:54).
*D10 for Nobuhiro Shimatani.
1. Bunkhouse Scramble Eye Glass 8-Man Tag Death Match – Lucha Libre Rules: Antonio Honda, Guanchulo, Shunma Katsumata & MAO defeated Sanshiro Takagi, Toru Owashi, Kazuki Hirata & Saki Akai when Katsumata pinned Hirata with a Glasses School Boy (9:11).
2. 3 Way Tag Match: Yukio Sakaguchi & Masahiro Takanashi defeated Akito & Tomomitsu Matsunaga and Kazusada Higuchi & Kouki Iwasaki when Takanashi pinned Iwasaki with the Bacchus (6:00).
3. Tetsuya Endo & Mad Paulie defeated Soma Takao & Mizuki Watase when Paulie pinned Watase with the Paulie Buster (9:05).
4. DDT UNIVERSE Special Tag Match Suitable For Live Broadcasting: Yoshihiro Takayama & Dick Togo defeated Danshoku Dino & Makoto Oishi when Togo pinned Oishi with the Diving Senton (12:56).
5. AJPW World Jr. Heavyweight Title: Keisuke Ishii (c) defeated Yasu Urano with the Kneel Kick (11:43).
*V2 for Keisuke Ishii.
6. KO-D Openweight Title Challenger Decision Tournament – Final: Konosuke Takeshita defeated KUDO with the German Suplex (18:42).
7. KO-D Openweight Title: HARASHIMA (c) defeated Daisuke Sasaki with the Somato (21:53).
*V3 for HARASHIMA.

The main event for “JUDGEMENT 2017” at the Saitama Super Arena is now confirmed. HARASHIMA will put his KO-D Openweight Title on the line against Konosuke Takeshita. It wasn’t an easy task for both men to make it this far. They each had to overcome a tough challenge in Korakuen Hall today.

sweetdreams2017-kod2

HARASHIMA had to fend off Daisuke Sasaki in the main event. The build up for the battle between Ace and Charisma saw Sasaki use his tricks to get one over on the champion. However this resulted in HARASHIMA at one point going over the edge and choking out Sasaki without mercy. Sasaki was willing to risk waking up that dragon again for the championship. He attacked HARASHIMA while he was being showered in streamers for his ring entrance. He also Suplexed him from the ring apron to the outside then followed up with a Super Diving Elbow to the champion while he was sitting on a chair at ringside. Momentum looked to be flipping over to HARASHIMA until a wild kick accidentally knocked down Yukinori Matsui. Sasaki hit a Low Blow but Matsui’s recovery took long enough for HARASHIMA to kick out. HARASHIMA blocked Sasaki’s La Mistica Crossface with a Face Kick. Sasaki hit the flash Hurricanrana from out of nowhere but only got a nearfall. HARASHIMA then hit the Somato just as quick. A second Somato afterwards put Sasaki down for the count.

sweetdreams2017-challenger

Takeshita’s road to Saitama Super Arena took a big turn when he beat KUDO in the final of the KO-D Title Contender tournament. KUDO threw everything at him but Takeshita caught it all, somewhat literally. Takeshita caught KUDO during the Diving Double Knee Drop and then Power Bombed him into the turnbuckles. He blocked KUDO’s Backspin Kicks and in return hit Big Boots and a Discus Lariat. KUDO was too spent to do anything in return and was pinned with the German Suplex. There were no hard feelings over the result and both shook hands afterwards.

sweetdreams2017-takeshita-harashima

The show ended with HARASHIMA and Takeshita facing off in the ring. Takeshita said it may selfish but out of everybody in the tournament, he wanted the KO-D Title the most. He is ready to carry all of DDT on his back to beat HARASHIMA in Saitama Super Arena. HARASHIMA said he is glad to know his next challenger is prepared. Of course he himself will be wrestling at full power so let’s hope both of them fight with their greatest effort!

sweetdreams2017-ajpw

Yasu Urano may have charmed his way into an AJPW Jr. Title match but in the end he was humbled by the champion Keisuke Ishii. Urano kicked out of the Tiger Suplex but a stiff Kneel Kick put him away afterwards. Urano said he had no regrets from the match. He’s known Ishii ever since Ishii joined DDT. Now at forty years old and just coming off of being defeated by his junior, Urano thinks it is time for a new start. Ishii now looks ahead to the AJPW Jr. League.

sweetdreams2017-dino-takayama

Before Danshoku Dino and Yoshihiro Takayama fight each other one on one in Osaka next month, Dino wanted a piece of him straight away. He chased Takayama through the audience while Makoto Oishi and Dick Togo wrestled in the ring. Dino later used lewd moves on Togo to taunt Takayama while he was on the apron. That backfired when Togo returned to the ring wearing Danshoku tights, giving him the power to beat Dino & Oishi on his own. Takayama couldn’t help because he lost consciousness when Dino gave him the Stinkface. After the match Dino said that 8% of pro wrestlers around the world are gay. Today he was fighting at 70% or 80% gayness. He warned Takayama that in Osaka he will be at 100%!

sweetdreams2017-dino-dream

After Dino left the ring Amon Tsurumi called him back in. Tsurumi wanted to know if Dino had spent the 500,000 yen to sign his dream opponent for “JUDGEMENT 2017”. Dino didn’t know what he was talking about until a message on the screen announced Dino’s opponent is Joey Ryan! That’s not all, Super Sasadango Machine entered the ring and announced he will provide a special international PowerPoint presentation for the match. The presentation will be in Japanese, English, Mandarin and Spanish so many of DDT UNIVERSE’s foreign subscribers can follow it. However, Dino Vs Ryan is a match that could get too graphic. So if at any point the match gets out of control, the stream will cut to a censor graphic of Sanshiro Takagi posing naked. Enjoy!

sweetdreams2017-takao

Amon Tsurumi kept a close eye on Soma Takao during his match. After suffering another defeat Takao was asked to stay in the ring by the GM. He noticed that Takao made great progress when Team Dream Futures disbanded but his win-loss record then became poor when he lost the AJPW Jr. Title. Tsurumi would like Takao to be competing for championships again but maybe it is time for him to be part of a unit again. Takao admitted he had no goal to fight for when he lost the AJPW Jr. Title. Being in a unit again is a nice idea but it may not fix his problems. Takao promised to think about it and he will make up his mind soon.

sweetdreams2017-bacchus

Shuten-dōji got a small measure of revenge on Team DNA by winning the 3 Way Tag Match. Masahiro Takanashi surprised Kouki Iwasaki with the Bacchus rolling pin. Iwasaki apologised to Kazusada Higuchi for being careless. They lost today but are hoping to beat Shuten-dōji in Osaka when the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles are on the line. Takanashi isn’t impressed by what he’s heard. He thinks they could at least try to make the title match sound exciting.

sweetdreams2017-scramble

The opening match was turned into a Bunkhouse Scramble Death Match with Hirata GO! glasses as the object left in the middle of the ring. But when the match began everyone ignored them to fight among the fans instead. Antonio Honda stopped the match again to tell a fairy tale but this time asked Guanchulo to translate it into English for the foreign viewers watching on DDT UNIVERSE. The story turned out to be Little Red Riding Hood except in this version the wolf when disguised as the grandmother says his eyes are red because he’s watched too much porn. Kazuki Hirata wanted all the attention for himself so the glasses finally came into play. But Shunma Katsumata took the glasses from him and rolled Hirata over for the pin.

sweetdreams2017-dark

Nobuhiro Shimatani is now at 10 “defences” for the King Of Dark Title. He was reminded that if he does not lose the title before the end of February he will not be a part of DNA’s relaunch. His next “defence” is scheduled for 12th February.

Colt Cabana will wrestle in DDT for the first time in February. He is already booked for three shows during the month. On 12/2 he is in a 3 Way Match with MAO and Konosuke Takeshita. Then on the 14/2 YaroZ show he will face Antonio Honda. Finally on 19th February Colt goes one on one with Danshoku Dino.

“JUDGEMENT 2017” had some more matches announced during the show. Shigehiro Irie Vs Mike Bailey, a Battle Royal for the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title (still held by comedian Hyota Echizenya), an 8-Person tag featuring Jaguar Yokota and a tag match between Yoshihiro Takayama & Dick Togo against Shungo Oyama and a mystery partner are all part of the card.

DAMNATION will be running their own unlawful show in Shinjuku FACE on 14th April. There will also be a show exclusive to members of the DDT Fan Club happening in Kitasenju Theatre 1010 on 13th May.

5. Charismatic Electric Shock Combination Of The Death Match And The Emperor In The Wrestling World!: Yoshihiro Takayama & Jun Kasai defeated Shuji Ishikawa & Mad Paulie when Kasai pinned Paulie with a Backslide Pin (11:35).
6. Smile Squash Vs DAMNATION!: HARASHIMA & Akito defeated Daisuke Sasaki & Tetsuya Endo when Akito submitted Endo with the Perfect Figure Four Leg Lock (16:22).

Once again Daisuke Sasaki was pretending to play nice in front of HARASHIMA. A handshake offer was kicked away but he got to hit his Low Blow later in the match. Tetsuya Endo also joined in the cheating by choking HARASHIMA with a T-shirt while the referee’s back was turned. DAMNATION’s attention then turned to Akito but HARASHIMA came back and took out Sasaki with the Somato. Akito avoided Endo’s Sky Twister Press and locked on the Perfect Figure Four Leg Lock to win. HARASHIMA and Sasaki stared at each other after the match until Sasaki withdrew from ringside with Endo.

The other members of DAMNATION attacked Yoshihiro Takayama during his entrance. This resulted in a brawl throughout the auditorium until things calmed down. Jun Kasai fought dirty as well, distracting Daisuke Kiso to attack Mad Paulie. Takayama fought with Shuji Ishikawa in the ring during the final moments. Kasai rolled out of the way from Paulie’s Reverse Splash then pinned him with a Backslide. Kasai has secret plans in place for his DDT Extreme Title defence against Paulie. He noticed how Paulie always has a dog chain attached to him so they should have a Dog Chain Death Match!

Yasu Urano was again beaten by Keisuke Ishii with a flash pin. He is now getting frustrated that he can’t beat the AJPW World Jr. Heavyweight Champion.

DDT was welcomed to the Best Western Rembrandt Hotel in Machida, Tokyo. Not only was there wrestling on offer but food and drink as well. Gota Ihashi wanted to have a romantic stay so he had a challenge for Saki Akai. If Ihashi’s team won, he and Akai would share the same hotel room. Akai’s tag partner Danshoku Dino accepted but only on the condition that if he & Akai won then the hotel manager would have to spend the night with Dino. Ihashi tried to hit a Splash on Akai several times, finally succeeding when Dino couldn’t pull Akai out of the way in time. However Akai recovered and pinned Ihashi with the Rookie Award boot to the face. Akai told the hotel manager he now had to give Dino his best service in their suite tonight.

The odds were not in Shuten-dōji’s favour when they defended the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles in a 3 Way Match. As much as they tried to take control of the match, it broke down into chaos and the belts changed hands without anybody in Shuten-dōji getting pinned. Yukio Sakaguchi hit the Right Knee Of God on Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi but Antonio Honda then took him out with a Bionic Elbow. That gave Kazusada Higuchi the opportunity to give Honda the Doctor Bomb to win the titles for DNA! Shuten-dōji weren’t happy with the result but resisted taking their anger out on the new champions.

The first Korakuen Hall show of the DDT UNIVERSE launch will determine the main event of “JUDGEMENT 2017” in Saitama Super Arena this March. Bad blood is growing between HARASHIMA and Daisuke Sasaki over the KO-D Openweight Title. Meanwhile Konosuke Takeshita and KUDO won their playoff matches to reach the final but only one will get the KO-D Title shot at DDT’s 20th Anniversary.

Yasu Urano spent the last week acting coy about wanting to challenge for the AJPW Jr. Title. He’s now getting what he wants and that’s a title match against Keisuke Ishii. Urano promises to wrestle clean but Ishii doesn’t believe him.

Yeah, DDT thinks getting Dino out there for the match promoting DDT UNIVERSE is the best idea. I mean at this point if you’re subscribing to it you have to know what to expect.

2. 3 Way Match: Mike Bailey and Shigehiro Irie defeated Mad Paulie by Disqualification when Paulie attacked the referee (11:01).
3. Yoshihiro Takayama, Kouki Iwasaki & Saki Akai defeated Antonio Honda, Guanchulo & Candice LeRae when Takayama pinned Guanchulo with the Running Knee Lift (9:13).
4. Keisuke Ishii & Mizuki Watase defeated Toru Owashi & Yasu Urano when Ishii pinned Urano with an Inside Cradle (10:22).
5. Daisuke Sasaki, Shuji Ishikawa & Tetsuya Endo defeated HARASHIMA, Akito & Tomomitsu Matsunaga when Sasaki submitted Matsunaga with La Mistica Crossover Facelock (13:31).
6. KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles: KUDO, Yukio Sakaguchi & Masahiro Takanashi (c) defeated Makoto Oishi, Shunma Katsumata & MAO when Sakaguchi pinned MAO with the Right Knee Of God (10:20).
*V2 for Shuten-dōji.
7. KO-D Openweight Title Challenger Decision Tournament – Round 1: Konosuke Takeshita defeated Kazusada Higuchi (25:31).

Konosuke Takeshita is one more match away from reaching the main event of “JUDGEMENT 2017” in March. He defeated Kasusada Higuchi in the first match of a four man playoff. There were Lariats a plenty as both men wanted to outlast the other with their strength. Takeshita kicked out of the Doctor Bomb at two but Higuchi kicked out of a Vertical Drop Brainbuster at one. Takeshita hit the same Horizontal Chops he used to beat Toru Owashi last year but Higuchi survived them. It took a German Suplex to end the match and send Takeshita through to the final. Takeshita said when he wins the KO-D Openweight Title at Saitama Super Arena he will want one more match with Higuchi.

Shuten-dōji are still the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Champions but they have bigger fish to fry this weekend. They are more invested in seeing KUDO beat Tetsuya Endo tomorrow and eventually win the main event spot for “JUDGEMENT 2017”. They would love nothing more than to see KUDO Vs HARASHIMA for the title to celebrate DDT’s 20th Anniversary.

HARASHIMA has other problems to worry about for now. After losing to DAMNATION, he was approached by Daisuke Sasaki. Calm and polite, Sasaki said he is over Candice LeRae and promised to fight fair against HARASHIMA in their title match on 29th January. They were about to shake hands when Sasaki kicked HARASHIMA and then put him in the Modified Cross Facelock until the champion fainted. Sasaki threw HARASHIMA out of the ring and yelled that he will become the champion on 29/1.

Yasu Urano is worried he now cannot challenge Keisuke Ishii for the AJPW Jr. Title after being pinned by him today. He was told that it’s still possible. It’s all up to the PWF President Dory Funk Jr. Urano wouldn’t dare to ask him immediately. Instead he’s going to be more calculated and wait until the time is right.

The 3 Way Match fell apart when Mad Paulie attacked the referee. Shigehiro Irie and Mike Bailey worked together to fight him off and send him packing. Irie gave Bailey a thumbs up afterwards.

It just goe from bad to worse for Nobuhiro Shimatani. After losing another King Of Dark Title match he was told afterwards that he cannot wrestle for DNA as long as he is champion. Shimatani swears he will get rid of the cursed championship and go back to DNA when it is relaunched next month.

Danshoku Dino was not at the show due to a back injury. Instead the BOYZ president Johnny Etajima appeared to announce his plans for the 12th January BOYZ event. He wants to do something unusual so the show will be based around a competition between two teams captained by Makoto Oishi and HARASHIMA. Oishi has a mystery wrestler on his team, the only clue is it’s an attractive blonde. Everyone assumes it is Yasu Urano.

Merry Christmas everyone! The final DDT show of the year had HARASHIMA’s first defence of his current KO-D Openweight Title reign. The challenger Shigehiro Irie had a lot of momentum on his side ever since he came back from America. He had pinned HARASHIMA in his first match back and was on the winning side for most of their tag matches in the lead up to today. Irie would even taunt HARASHIMA by giving him the thumbs down after all of their matches. HARASHIMA targeted Irie’s abdomen early on, hitting the John Woo Dropkick, some Knee Drops and Foot Stomps then a Cobra Twist. He did the deed by doing a Falcon Arrow but Irie kicked out and turned the tables with a Traffic Accident Tackle. HARASHIMA avoided both a Piledriver and the Flying Sausage but Irie finally hit a move with the Black Hole Slam. He tried to do a Piledriver on the apron but HARASHIMA slipped out and hit a Buzzsaw Kick. Irie quickly cut his momentum at ringside with a Power Bomb onto the apron instead. When HARASHIMA was rolled back into the ring he kicked out of the pin. He blocked Irie from doing the Flying Sausage and did a Superplex instead. A Swan Dive Foot Stomp got a two count. Irie applied the Tazzmission and tried to do a Suplex variation but HARASHIMA fought his way out of it. HARASHIMA hit three middle kicks but Irie hit back with the Beast Bomber and then gave a thumbs down. He went for the Vertical Drop Back Flip but HARASHIMA slipped out and hit a Jumping High Kick. The end came with both wrestlers trying to hit either the Somato or the Beast Bomber and HARASHIMA came out on top.

nevermind-christmas

Irie finally gave HARASHIMA the thumbs up after the match. HARASHIMA said that everyone now sees how strong Irie has become and he would be happy to fight him again. HARASHIMA is now looking forward to defending the title against Mike Bailey on 3rd January. The rest of the roster then came out including Super Sasadango Machine wearing a Santa costume. Several of the wrestlers gave out their goals for 2017. Konosuke Takeshita wants to win back the KO-D Title. Yukio Sakaguchi will kill everyone who stands before his eyes. KUDO has spent this year recovering from his injuries and becoming a father so he wants to show everyone a strong KUDO next year. Yoshihiro Takayama has gotten so used to wrestling in DDT he now wants something to wrap around his waist to keep warm. Danshoku Dino will go on a diet. Keisuke Ishii wants to be more central to DDT. Saki Akai wants to spread the world of DDT. Kazusada Higuchi wants to win the New Year Tag Team Tournament. Shunma Katsumata wants to release a solo album, record more songs with NωA, win the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles and recruit a new member for NωA. Sasadango wants to return to the ring and live vigorously in good health. Sanshiro Takagi wants to send DDT across the whole world through DDT UNIVERSE. Finally HARASHIMA wants everyone to continue their support for DDT.

Shuten-dōji continues to have DAMNATION’s number. They beat DAMNATION to win the KO-D 6-Man Tag Titles earlier this month, beat them again earlier this week and then beat them once more in their first title defence. If that wasn’t enough, Masahiro Takanashi pinned Daisuke Sasaki in all three matches! Even Takanashi has trouble believing it. The third straight loss for DAMNATION has put them in crisis. They stormed out at the end of the show after the rest of the roster gave their resolutions. Is DAMNATION going to split up? Hell no! Sasaki says if they’re breaking up on Christmas Day, they would do it alone during a party for just themselves. Instead Sasaki will prepare for his next match on 3rd January. He will face the love of his life Candice LeRae! Next year DAMNATION will not flock together or flirt or get married… but Sasaki will get married to Candice! Sasaki was also kicking Shuji Ishikawa as he was shouting this out. Mad Paulie wasn’t really paying attention, instead wishing everyone a merry Christmas and a happy new year.

nevermind-dino

The first two matches for “JUDGEMENT 2017” in Saitama Super Arena next March were announced. A good card has to be prepared since the show celebrates DDT’s 20 year anniversary. First, Tokyo Joshi Pro gets a high profile match by mixing in with DDT’s women and two big joshi names. It will be Meiko Satomura, Saki Akai & Shoko Nakajima Vs Aja Kong, Cherry & Miyu Yamashita! The other match is Danshoku Dino versus whoever he wants. Dino requested Triple H but that was immediately turned down because it is deemed impossible to set up. It is up to Dino to choose his dream opponent under one condition, he cannot spend over 500,000 yen combined in payment, transportation and accommodation expenses.

nevermind-german

Mad Paulie was truly in the Christmas spirit all day. He came down to the ring for his match against Konosuke Takeshita wearing a Santa hat and beard. He dominated the early portion of the bout, overwhelming Takeshita with brute force and throwing him around ringside. Takeshita spent the match defending himself against Paulie’s attacks. The opening he was looking for when he avoided the Reverse Splash. He then hit move after move from Big boots to Lariats to Brainbusters until Paulie couldn’t take anymore. Takeshita then got the win with the German Suplex. Takeshita was happy to spend the last DDT show of the year wrestling in a singles match and his victory was his Christmas gift to the fans.

nevermind-iwasaki

Kazusada Higuchi say he has learned a lot by teaming with Yoshihiro Takayama in the last few months. Takayama thinks Higuchi is just trying to flatter him but Higuchi is being honest. Takayama says he too is learning new things by teaming with Higuchi and Kouki Iwasaki. When asked about his desire to want something around his waist, Takayama simply answered he is the man who wants everything.

nevermind-ryan

Joey Ryan & Laura James have set their sights on becoming DDT’s power couple. Before their match with Makoto Oishi & Saki Akai began, James dared the referee to check her tights for any hidden items. When the ref became uncomfortable, Ryan then demanded him to do it. The couple showed off their deadly double team move during the match. Ryan falls down on his hands and knees next to the target, James pours lotion all over his back, she then charges towards him and slides over his back head first into the opponent. After winning the match, Ryan said their opponents were easy and he match difficult on purpose just to have a challenge. Their goal in DDT for 2017 is to win the KO-D Tag Team Titles. Also James wants to visit Harajuku and go see a cat cafe.

nevermind-fox

Everyone in the 3 Way Tag match agreed to Lucha tag rules for the bout. Antonio Honda got upset when he couldn’t join in on the wrestling between Soma Takao and Shunma Katsumata. So he began telling a story that happened a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. Everybody expected him to talk about Star Wars but it instead turned out to be Gon, The Little Fox again.

nevermind-ikemen

Whenever Jiro Kuroshio shows up in DDT it is always a fun time for everyone, except Kazuki Hirata. He’s jealous of Kuroshio’s popularity and hates his entrance song. It’s incomprehensible and annoying unlike his own song. He was going to crush Kuroshio in this match! He also warned him about Dino’s behaviour around handsome wrestlers. Dino was in fact smitten by Kuroshio but that motivated him rather than cause a distraction. Sanshiro Takagi used the brand new DDT Storage Box as a weapon during the match but was cut off with a Dropkick. Kuroshio was ready to end the match until Dino stopped to confess his love to him. Keisuke Ishii took over while this was going on and won the match for his team anyway.

*DAMNATION fails in V2. Shuten-dōji becomes the 27th KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Champions!
7. KO-D Tag Team Titles: Konosuke Takeshita & Mike Bailey (c) defeated Danshoku Dino & Keisuke Ishii when Bailey pinned Dino with the Shooting Star Double Knee Drop (24:00).
*V1 for Konosuke Takeshita & Mike Bailey.

As mentioned after yesterday’s show, Mike Bailey wanted nothing to do with Danshoku Dino in the main event. Dino chased him around ringside until Bailey had to fend him off with kicks. It wasn’t any better for Konosuke Takeshita, he missed a Lariat to Keisuke Ishii and hit his arm off the ring post. Dino & Ishii took advantage and worked over the arm. They tried a Go 2 Sleep style set up for the Danshoku Driver to Bailey but Takeshita cut them off. Takeshita countered Ishii’s Kneel Kick with a Lariat and that took him out of the match. Bailey secured the win with a Buzzsaw Kick to Dino followed by the Shooting Star Double Knee Drop. Bailey said after the match that his problem with Dino has nothing to do with his sexual preference. It’s because Dino keeps grabbing men’s crotches without their consent. Aside from that Bailey called him a good wrestler and “The No. 1 Gay”. With that out of the way Bailey then asked Amon Tsurumi for a request. He recently won the DNA Grand Prix and the KO-D Tag Team Titles so now he wants a shot at the KO-D Openweight Title! Tsurumi confirmed that the winner of HARASHIMA Vs Shigehiro Irie will face Bailey at Korakuen Hall on 3rd January with the title on the line!

It’s all falling apart for DAMNATION, they have now lost all of their championships! In the lead up to this match, Daisuke Sasaki said if DAMNATION lost the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles to Shuten-dōji then they should split up. Kota Umeda was at ringside using crutches to stand so he could cheer on his stablemates. Early in the match Sasaki grabbed Masahiro Takanashi’s legs from the apron and pulled him outside the ring. That led to a ringside brawl where Sasaki grabbed Umeda’s crutch and then hit him with it. The end came when Takanashi escaped Sasaki’s Vietnam Driver II. Sasaki fought off the Takatonic but was surprised when Takanashi switched to the Bacchus. That was enough for the three count and the title change! Sasaki was distraught by the result. DAMNATION has lost all of its championships in the space of a week and they deserve to be dissolved because of this! While Sasaki had a mental breakdown backstage, Shuji Ishikawa demanded the group get a rematch at Korakuen Hall on Christmas Day. Mad Paulie already has a match set for that show so Ishikawa will take his spot on the team. The new champions welcome the decision. Takanashi said Sasaki should go wash dishes for DDT’s restaurants if he loses again. As far as he is concerned, Sasaki owed a debt to Shuten-dōji when he lost and that debt was paid for with the 6-Man Tag Titles. If Sasaki loses again, he’ll owe Shuten-dōji another debt and he has nothing left that they want so he may as well start from zero like a rookie and do chores.

Shigehiro Irie was happy to play with his new friend Yoshihiro Takayama in Hakata! He has nothing to be afraid of because his new friend is big and strong! Takayama gave Irie his stamp of approval to be the next KO-D Champion! Together they yelled “No Fear!”

Maki Itoh was all business for her debut wrestling match. After watching Miyu Yamashita’s dance entrance she told her she wasn’t here to do the same. Itoh’s offence included Elbow Strikes, a Body Slam, a Dropkick and even a Headbutt. Yamashita defeated her with a Skewered Knee Strike followed by the Attitude Adjustment. Yamashita said she was happy to be back in her home city of Fukuoka and she was pleased with Itoh’s performance. Her true feelings were showcased in the ring because she worked hard. Yamashita also said from now on she and Itoh are rivals so they can have more exciting matches together in Fukuoka. Itoh admitted defeat but claims she has a cuter face than Yamashita.
