110 Fans – Super No Vacancy Full House

1. Yuka Sakazaki defeated Arisu Endo with a Sliding Lariat (7:18).
2. Mizuki & Raku defeated Hyper Misao & Mahiro Kiryu when Mizuki pinned Kiryu with the Cutie Special (10:15).
3. Rika Tatsumi, Miu Watanabe & Nao Kakuta defeated Shoko Nakajima, Nodoka Tenma & Haruna Neko by Referee Stoppage when Tatsumi used the Dragon Sleeper on Neko (13:45).
4. Yuki Kamifuku, Marika Kobashi & Pom Harajuku defeated Hikari Noa, Mirai Maiumi & Suzume when Kobashi pinned Suzume with the Running Bulldog Headlock (11:48).
5. Miyu Yamashita & Maki Itoh defeated Yuki Aino & Moka Miyamoto when Yamashita pinned Miyamoto with the Skull Kick (14:26).

Today was the first time in three weeks Tokyo Joshi Pro held a show in front of an audience. Miyu Yamashita said in that period without fans she was able to get stronger and win the Princess Of Princess Title. Then Maki Itoh stepped in and said it was thanks to her because those two can achieve anything together. Itoh asked if Yamashita wants another championship because she wants them to challenge NEO Biishiki-gun for the Princess Tag Team Titles! Yamashita was surprised by the idea but looks forward to it. 121000000 will get their title shot in Korakuen Hall on 17th April. Backstage Itoh said she ultimately wants 121000000 to have all the championships in TJPW so they will have two belts each.

Ever since her debut at 14 years old, Marika Kobashi has never challenged for a singles championship. She never had the confidence to believe she could do it. So it annoys her to see Hikari Noa, who debuted after her, become the International Princess Champion looking cool and confident. Kobashi turns 20 years old in a few days and she wants a title shot as a sign that she has grown up. Noa accepted the challenge and the match will happen on 17th April. Both have promised not to lose. Backstage Kobashi mentioned that if it wasn’t for the pandemic, she was supposed to attend an American university for half a year starting this month. She can’t do that now so she will chase after the IP Title instead.

TJPW Doubleheader Suddenly Announced, Full CyberFight Festival Card, Ganpro Mixed Tournament Reactivated

May 12, 2021

Not a day’s rest without posting an update. Tokyo Joshi Pro will be holding events on 22nd May after all. Their original Azalea Taisho Hall in Osaka event has been pushed back to June and a doubleheader at Oji BASEMENT MON☆STAR in Tokyo takes its place. The roster will be split in half with twelve wrestlers booked for the afternoon show and the other twelve competing in the evening show. However Arisu Endo and Moka Miyamoto will be on both shows. They are the only wrestlers working double duty that day. Gotta get them extra reps in.

It’s been decided that the complete “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL 2021” show will contain 14 matches. That’s 3 matches in the STARTING BATTLE pre-show and 11 matches on the main card. The last addition is Danshoku Dieno & Super Sasadango Machine throwing out a challenge to a NOAH team. Sasadango wants Takashi Sugiura and Sugiura-gun in particular for a battle between two very different pro wrestling philosophies. Dieno doesn’t like that idea but is getting dragged into it anyway.

Yoshimura’s King Of DDT Spot In Doubt, CyberFight Festival Match Dump

May 11, 2021

Based on the instructions of the extended state of emergency and the guidelines presented by all of the venues, the remaining DDT and Ganbare☆Pro shows this month are allowed to go ahead with fans in attendance. A combination of holding shows in areas outside of the emergency zones and at small venues inside said zones seems to be the reason why this is happening. Tokyo Joshi Pro will announce their plans later although they today confirmed their show in Osaka on the 22nd has been pushed back to July. Their only other shows to come this month is one this coming Saturday and the PPV on the 29th. I have my concerns about “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL 2021” going ahead even though they should be free to run the show by the time June rolls around. Cramming in four rosters worth of wrestlers into a day long supershow this close to the current situation sounds like it will cause a lot of trouble if they’re not careful. The news about Japan’s handling of its vaccinations sounds really bad too.

2. Danshoku Dieno & Shunma Katsumata Vs Kazuki Hirata & Saki Akai
3. HARASHIMA, Toru Owashi & Naomi Yoshimura Vs Yusuke Okada, Yuki Iino & Yukio Naya
4. DAMNATION Vs The 37KAMIINA! A Special 6-Man Tag Match Where Tetsuya Endo From Shiroishi City And MAO From Osaki City Will Fight For Miyagi’s Will And Pride!: Tetsuya Endo, Soma Takao & Mad Paulie Vs Konosuke Takeshita, Yuki Ueno & MAO

6. Ultimate Tag League 2021: Kazusada Higuchi & Yukio Sakaguchi (2) Vs Chris Brookes & Antonio Honda (2)

Two rounds in, three more to go. DAMNATION can increase their lead in first place and make things worse for Junretsu. They can’t rest easy though because either Eruption or The Iyasareru won’t far behind.

7. Ultimate Tag League 2021: Kazusada Higuchi & Yukio Sakaguchi Vs Jun Akiyama & Makoto Oishi

When the field for this year’s King Of DDT was revealed, one wrestler who was left off went to Twitter to give his opinion about it. Yuki Iino doesn’t understand why Naomi Yoshimura was picked to enter the tournament over him. He challenged Yoshimura to a match to prove he deserves the spot instead. Yoshimura accepted the challenge and the card, which was already completed, had to be changed for the match to happen.

3. KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles: Tetsuya Endo, Soma Takao & Yuji Hino (c) Vs Toru Owashi, Naomi Yoshimura & Kazuki Hirata

Here’s the destination for DISASTER BOX Vs DAMNATION. The KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles will be defended for the first time since March.

Shinya Aoki returns to DDT after a successful fight at ONE Championship back in April. An interesting path opens up for him if he and Yukio Naya can beat Konosuke Takeshita & Yuki Ueno. I can see a possible DDT UNIVERSAL Title shot in his future.

9. KO-D Openweight Title: Jun Akiyama (c) Vs HARASHIMA
10. GHC Heavyweight Title: Keiji Muto (c) Vs Naomichi Marufuji

A ton of matches added to the show courtesy of DDT and Tokyo Joshi. There’s still more to come believe it or not. Yuki Arai is wrestling on the show after all and gets another crack against Maki Itoh in a trios match. Another thing to note is the mystery partner in the opening match of the STARTING BATTLE pre-show. Every member of the TJPW roster has been accounted for except for the women from NEO Biishiki-gun. They seem to have other engagements that day so X will have to be somebody from outside of TJPW. It’s also the very first match of the day so let’s keep expectations in check. Aja Kong or Mei Suruga would make sense given how their previous appearances in TJPW went. Maybe there is a new trainee about to debut. Or how about Kendo Kashin? That sounds like something he would do.

NOAH have yet to announce their entries into the Battle Royal. I also think they will provide the fourth STARTING BATTLE match to complete the pre-show.

Osaka Azalea Taisho Hall

Tokyo Joshi’s visit to Osaka on 22nd May has been postponed until July. The current state of emergency led to all venues in Osaka only allowing events to go ahead without crowds. TJPW decided it was better off to delay their show in Azalea Taisho Hall to a date when fans will be allowed to attend again.

It is being brought back with some extra rules attached. Over the top rope eliminations are in effect until a team is down to its final two wrestlers. Also the active wrestler who wins a fall cannot tag out until they make physical contact with their next opponent.

6. Ultimate Tag League 2021: Jun Akiyama & Makoto Oishi Vs Chris Brookes & Antonio Honda
7. Ultimate Tag League 2021: Konosuke Takeshita & Shunma Katsumata Vs Daisuke Sasaki & Yuji Hino

The opening day of Ultimate Tag League 2021 will be held without an audience. The winning team at the end of the tournament receives a 1,000,000 yen prize and will be considered strong contenders for the KO-D Tag Team Titles. Eruption see themselves as the favourites because they are the former champions. Kazusada Higuchi wants to prove they are the strongest while Yukio Sakaguchi wants to get revenge on Smile Pissari and win back the belts. Makoto Oishi thinks Junretsu will win as long as he doesn’t lose any of the matches. Both members of The 37KAMIINA team have gained confidence recently, Konosuke Takeshita from his AEW excursion and Shunma Katsumata from wrestling in death matches. Daisuke Sasaki believes he needs to beat Takeshita in the first match to fully recover from his broken ribs. Sasaki suffered that injury during his D-Ou Grand Prix match with Takeshita last year. Yuji Hino admits he isn’t good competing in leagues so he’ll leave it to Sasaki to steer the team to victory. Antonio Honda is concerned with the state of his knees as the league goes on. Out of all the wrestlers in the league, he has the lowest level of crisis management. It doesn’t help that his first match is against Jun Akiyama’s team. At least Chris Brookes feels spiritual when he is near Honda so they should work well together.

Yuki Ueno is delving into his out of ring career for his next DDT UNIVERSAL Title defence. Akito hired him to manage the Dropkick Bar then left him high and dry when it came to giving any advice. That’s pretty much how DDT has been run for most of its existence. So this title match is personal to him. Shota admits that he can’t compete with Ueno on his current run but that doesn’t mean he cannot beat him. This is a challenge Akito will relish.

Azul Dragon will be on the show.

7. KO-D Openweight Title: Jun Akiyama (c) Vs HARASHIMA

Some big additions to the show. The Princess Of Princess Title match went on a major turn and is now Miyu Yamashita against Yuka Sakazaki in a rematch of the 2020 Ittenyon show. Also added is a massive DDT versus Kongo inter-promotional match. Kongo’s leader Kenoh still hates that Sanshiro Takagi is his boss and also a powerful figure in control of NOAH.

All 22 members of the full time Tokyo Joshi Pro roster will be wrestling on the show. That means everybody except for NEO Biishiki-gun and Yuki Arai. However that does not mean the entire rosters for DDT, NOAH and Ganbare☆Pro will be booked. There’s still more matches and spots to be announced but it sounds like there will be a few absences when the line up is complete.
