DDT “NEVER MIND 2024”, 22/12/2024
Tokyo Korakuen Hall
966 Fans – No Vacancy
1. MJ Paul, Demus & Ilusion defeated Takeshi Masada, Yuni & Kazuma Sumi when Demus pinned Sumi with La Valagueza (8:39).
2. Danshoku Dieno & Kazuki Hirata defeated Toru Owashi & Antonio Honda when Dieno pinned Honda with the Danshoku Driver (9:25).
3. Jun Akiyama, Shinya Aoki & Keigo Nakamura defeated HARASHIMA, Yukio Naya & Yuki Ishida when Nakamura pinned Ishida with a Brazilian Kick (10:50).
4. Special 6-Man Tag Match: Tetsuya Endo, Yuya Koroku & Akito defeated MAO, To-y & Soma Takao by TKO when Koroku used the Chickenwing Arm Lock on To-y (13:47).
5. Special Single Match: Super Sasadango Machine defeated Yuki Ueno with an Inside Cradle (9:20).
6. Special Single Match: Tomohiro Ishii defeated Yuki Iino with the Vertical Drop Brainbuster (16:55).
7. Road To Ultimate Party 2024! Special Tag Match: Chris Brookes & Masahiro Takanashi defeated Daisuke Sasaki & KANON when Brookes pinned Sasaki with the Praying Mantis Bomb (16:38).

It’s one more week to go until “ULTIMATE PARTY 2024” but first there was a little matter of DDT running their last show at Korakuen Hall for 2024. Chris Brookes and Daisuke Sasaki got to clash one more time before their KO-D Openweight Title match. Here it was CDK against the top two of DAMNATION T.A. The match broke down with the rest of DAMNATION T.A interfering to attack Masahiro Takanashi. That led to SCHADENFREUDE International launching a counter attack that ended with the four of them all hitting Sasaki with a grouped up Super Kick. KANON brought in a chair but Brookes grabbed it off him, hit it over Sasaki’s head and pinned him with the Praying Mantis Bomb.

Brookes told everyone after the match that one year ago he was having surgery to remove a tumor but one year later he is here in the DDT ring as the KO-D Champion! He is confident he will defend the title at Sumo Hall. Sasaki thinks otherwise because today he absorbed all of Brookes’s moves. That means when “ULTIMATE PARTY 2024” comes around Sasaki will have Brookes all figured out. He suggests that Brookes start packing his bags because when Sumo Hall is over Sasaki will kick him back to the UK!

DDT was on in the afternoon today before New Japan took over Korakuen for the evening slot. That opened up an opportunity to have a few cross-promotional things happen like Yuki Iino fighting Tomohiro Ishii is a battle of the stocky heavyweights. There were Shoulder Blocks, Elbow Strikes, Chops, Lariats and Heabutts galore. Iino got to hit the Spear but Ishii kicked out at two. Ishii wore down Iino and finished him off with the Vertical Drop Brainbuster to win. Backstage Ishii said Iino is close to being ready and it’s a shame he isn’t there yet. Iino has power, stamina and drive but he still needs to fight and search for what he needs to get to that next level. He does not care if Iino wants to do that though. Ishii has already moved on so whatever Iino does in the future does not concern him.

There was a slight technological delay buy Super Sasadango Machine was able to display his latest PowerPoint presentation. It’s all about connecting the dots in order to beat Yuki Ueno. The greatest weapon in Ueno’s arsenal is his high flying moves so Sasadango secretly told everyone in Korakuen that he hid a spare King Of Sasadango title belt under the ring with three thumbtacks sticking out of it. During the match Sasadango swapped his belt with the thumbtack belt and lured Ueno into doing the Frog Splash. Ueno landed stomach first on the thumbtacks and was rolled over with a School Boy. Ueno kicked out though and gave Sasadango a Dropkick followed by a Body Slam onto the belt. But when he went for the pin, Sasadango suddenly caught him in an Inside Cradle and held him down long enough for Yukinori Matsui to eventually count to three! Sasadango then asked Ueno to nominate him as his first challenger if Ueno regains the KO-D Title next year.

Loss after loss has gotten to Yuya Koroku so he was determined not to get beaten by To-y again today. To-y was on fire though. He used the Kojima Impact on Akito and did the same to Koroku. But this time Tetsuya Endo was there to break the pin in time. Koroku then grabbed Kojima by the arm and refused to let go. He countered a Headlock into the Chickenwing Arm Lock and increased the struggle until To-y could no longer fight out of the move. To-y wouldn’t submit either so Matsui stopped the match for his safety and rewarded Koroku’s team with the win. Backstage Endo explained that the one thing Koroku has been missing until now was cruelty. Sometimes in wrestling you just have to be cruel to your opponent. Koroku agrees and said next time he will break To-y’s arm! However To-y thinks this result won’t happen again at Sumo Hall. He and MAO will win the vacant KO-D Tag Team Titles and they’ll have fun doing it.

Match #3 provided a good workout for some of the Sumo Hall undercard matches. Jun Akiyama and Yukio Naya started it off while Shinya Aoki and HARASHIMA got to wrestle each other again. Naya eventually got the upper hand by giving Akiyama the Choke Slam. However the match came down to Keigo Nakamura striking Yuki Ishida with High Kicks before knocking him down with the Brazilian Kick for the victory. Aoki told Nakamura they’re off to a good start as a team. Nakamura is confident they can beat Kenoh and the NOAH team at Sumo Hall. He will go there with his head held high. Akiyama told Naya that the practice matches are now over. It is now up to them to go at each other as strong as they can in Sumo Hall.

We all know what to expect by now when DDT books a tag match like Danshoku Dieno & Kazuki Hirata against Toru Owashi & Antonio Honda. Dieno went into the Hell Gate position, Honda used it to charge up Gongitsune and he ended up hitting Owashi with the move by accident. Dieno then charged up his own attack but hit Hirata with it by mistake. Honda then went for the Diving Fist Drop but Dieno blocked it with a Claw Attack and went on to pin Honda with the Danshoku Driver.

Dieno was not done yet however. He got on the microphone and wanted to talk about his Sumo Hall match with Great-O-Khan. So he invited O-Khan to the show to discuss the match stipulation in the ring! Khan entered the venue and sat with Dieno in the ring. They both agreed they want to have a match at Sumo Hall that can never be done there ever again. Something that DDT and New Japan would also not let them do either. O-Khan then brought out an unexpected guest, the voice actor Kentaro Kumagai. He also happens to be somebody that Dieno gave the Lip Lock to at a DDT show back in June. O-Khan gave him a United Empire shirt and ordered him to wear it out of loyalty. Another voice actor Tetsu Inada then entered the ring to side with Dieno and DDT. Dieno decided the match should have the DDT Extreme Title on the line but Hisaya Imabayashi refused to grant his request. It’s a miracle that Imabayashi convinced NJPW to let this match happen in the first place so upgrading it a title bout will be impossible. Dieno does not care and promised O-Khan the Extreme Title will be on the line even if DDT will not make it official. Kumagai then started complaining about the time Dieno gave him the Lip Lock. Inada argued back because the things Pheromones did to him were way worse. The two voice actors decided they will be at ringside for the match to support their wrestlers.

The rest of DAMNATION T.A put some of DDT’s younger wrestlers through the wringer in the opening match. MJ Paul & Demus worked together to give Kazuma Sumi a Double Argentine Facebuster. Ilusion landed the Swanton Bomb onto Yuni and then Demus used La Valagueza on Sumi to win the match. Ilusion made fun of NωA Jr. for trying to be fake idols while Demus promised to kill Sumi again at Sumo Hall. Both Yuni & Sumi want to get revenge on those two. Takeshi Masada asked the two of them to please win that match.
It was announced that Minoru Suzuki will be at DDT’s 28th Anniversary show at Korakuen Hall on 20th March.

This is the second time in a row the two finalists of the Next Generation Tournament are teaming up for a Princess Tag Team Titles shot. This time it’s the tournament prize for the winner. Haru Kazashiro beat Toga in the final to earn a title shot of her choice. She picked the Tag Titles because Maki Itoh is who she looks up to most and she’s aiming to take the title from her. She then asked Toga to be her partner for the match. Funnily enough, Toga was going to make the same choice for a similar reason because she wants to fight Miyu Yamashita for a championship. So it all conveniently works out for everyone!
Pom Harajuku is not on the show because she will be wrestling in Thailand that weekend.

1. Kitsune World Title: Yuna Manase (c) Vs MICHIKO
2. Special Single Match: Shuichiro Katsumura Vs Dick Togo
3. Spirit Of Ganbare World Openweight Title: Keisuke Ishii (c) Vs Yumehito Imanari
An impromptu No. 1 Contenders match on the last Ganbare☆Pro show is what leads to Yumehito Imanari getting his chance to fight Keisuke Ishii for the Spirit Of Ganbare World Title. He beat Shuichiro Katsumura to do it. But while Katsumura is out of the title picture for now he is still getting an important match at the end of the year. Ishii encouraged him to go challenge Dick Togo to a match! Katsumura’s link to Togo is a very minor one but it is a story he told Ishii over drinks one night. Back when Katsumura was in high school he visited the Universal Lucha Libre dojo wanting to join it. He didn’t have the courage to go through with the plan but he remembers seeing a trainee walk past him into the building. That trainee was Togo! So this match 30 years in the making must be fate for Katsumura.
Over the weekend at a GLEAT show, MICHIKO pinned Yuna Manase in a 6-Man Tag Match and challenged her afterwards for the Kitsune World Title. Manase accepted the challenge and convinced Kitsune to let the title match take place in GanPro.

“SANSHIRO TAKAGI 30TH ANNIVERSARY COMMEMERATION EVENT ~ NEVER SAY NEVER”, 03/02/2025
Shinjuku FACE
1. Special Tag Match: Dump Matsumoto & Toru Owashi Vs Brahman Shu & Brahman Kei
In an odd move Sanshiro Takagi is deciding not to use DDT for his 30th Anniversary show next year. Instead he wants to rely solely on his decades worth of connections across the Japanese scene to come up with a wrestling show filled with matches you won’t believe. Matches like Dump Matsumoto & Toru Owashi Vs The Brahman Brothers. Nobody under a full contract with DDT will be booked for the show. Takagi himself is unlikely to wrestle either unless he unexpectedly gets medically cleared in time.

7. Special Single Match: Yuki Ueno Vs Takeshi Masada
8. Special Single Match: Jun Akiyama Vs Yukio Naya
9. Special Single Match: Great-O-Khan Vs Danshoku Dieno
10. KO-D Tag Team Titles: MAO & To-y Vs Tetsuya Endo & Yuya Koroku
11. KO-D Openweight Title: Chris Brookes Vs Daisuke Sasaki
Here is the full lineup for DDT’s final show of the year. New KO-D Tag Team Champions will be crowned with the replacement match keeping The 37KAMIINA Vs BURNING as its theme. You’d think To-y will want to win the belts for Shunma Katsumata but instead he is fighting for himself. That is a lesson for Yuya Koroku to learn, you still need an ego to make it as a pro wrestler.
Great-O-Khan Vs Danshoku Dieno is for the sickos but probably not the sickos you want to associate with. It’s the holder of New Japan’s notorious King Of Pro Wrestling Title taking on the DDT Extreme Champion, which is pretty much what the KOPW is trying to be. At the moment neither title seems to be on the line.
The original “ULTIMATE PARTY” shows were to bring all of the DDT (and later CyberFight) brands together so NOAH and Tokyo Joshi Pro will both have some presence on the card. Shinya Aoki has a bad habit of constantly calling out opponents for matches that no company wants to book for one reason or another. When he’s not trying to challenge Katsuhiko Nakajima to a fight he is instead trying to goad Kenoh into wrestling him. It is well known by now how much Kenoh looks down on DDT. He will bitterly accept them for what they are but he would rather be caught dead than stand in a DDT ring again. However Aoki & Keigo Nakamura have stuck a nerve with him enough to make him swallow his pride and fight in DDT again. He will be joined by NOAH rookie Yu Owada for the tag match. Aoki started this whole thing by saying he is going to beat Kenoh at Budokan Hall on New Year’s Day but I’m not sure if NOAH will actually book that match as a follow up for the DDT bout.
The two celebrities are both being put in tag matches. Haruto Sakuraba is living up to his deal with DAMNATION T.A to team with them in order to become a heel. Kumadori is naturally teaming up with DDT’s resident dancer Kazuki Hirata, mainly because Hirata admits he cannot beat him in dancing or wrestling.
TJPW are sending over the colorful trio of Rika Tatsumi, Hyper Misao & Pom Harajuku to take on the misfit squad of Toru Owashi, Super Sasadango Machine & Antonio Honda. It is a big reunion for Misao and Sasadango. They famously put together Misao’s “retirement” match in 2020 that was actually a surprise announcement of her marriage.

*V4 for DAMNATION T.A.

With Sumo Hall coming up at the end of the year, Chris Brookes and Daisuke Sasaki have a long war ahead of them that’s bringing in almost everybody with attachment to either SCHADENFREUDE International or DAMNATION T.A. Today’s battle was over the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles and quickly turned into a brawl around ringside. Sasaki and Brookes attacked each other with chairs while MJ Paul fell victim to a balcony length rubber band attack. KANON bested Takeshi Masada in their face off and left the match to the two unit leaders. Brookes had Sasaki beaten with the Praying Mantis Bomb but the pin was interrupted by DAMNATION T.A pulling the ref out of the ring. Ilusion then interfered but Munetatsu Nakamura came after him to even the odds. More chaos broke out with Demus and Antonio Honda getting in on the action. When things finally calmed down, DAMNATION T.A isolated Masahiro Takanashi and picked him apart. Sasaki countered the Takatonic with the Implant and then he gave Brookes a Low Blow. Sasaki & KANON then did the Freedom Call to Takanashi and he was then choked out by Sasaki’s Crossover Face Lock to give the champions the win.

After the match Sasaki told Brookes he and SCHADENFREUDE are nothing special. Love, romance and dreams are powerless before Sasaki! He only works for championships and the KO-D Openweight Title will definitely be his. Sasaki will be the last man standing in Sumo Hall on 28th December. He then said backstage there is a reason why he hasn’t challenged for the KO-D Title in four years but he won’t reveal it today. Instead he wants everyone to know he will be the one to bring the KO-D Title to Las Vegas next April. Brookes said there are plenty more matches to come in the next month and he will defend the title at Sumo Hall.

The DDT Extreme Title was on the line in a “Forbidden Battle” between Danshoku Dieno and Yuni. For five minutes of the match Yuni benefitted from “Cinderella Time” that meant Dieno would be immediately disqualified if he used any of his lewd moveset against him. However once that time ran out, the ban was lifted and the match would continue with no DQs whatsoever. Yuni wanted to win quickly so he went for high risk moves from the get-go while Dieno kept stopping himself from using his typical attacks. Time ran out though and Dieno instantly took over the match. Yuni eventually fought fire with fire by giving Dieno the Lip Lock and then hit two Moonsaults followed by the Fireball Splash. Dieno was still in the match so Yuni went for a Phoenix Splash. Dieno rolled out of the way, applied the Lip Lock, did the Danshoku Driver and then used a Triangle Choke to win.

Yuni refused to shake Dieno’s hand after the match. Backstage Dieno called him a rival and warned him not to get tripped up by everyone who just treats him as a high school student. That’s not just in pro wrestling but in life too. Yuni is only going to get stronger from here so Dieno doesn’t want to see him get spoiled and pampered just because he is in high school. Yuni understands that and appreciates that Dieno treated him like a pro wrestler. He thinks today was a rite of passage for him on the way to winning the Extreme Title and also the KO-D Title while he is still in high school. Next up for Dieno is an unexpected opponent for 28th December. It was announced after the show he will face Great-O-Khan at Sumo Hall!

Thanks to Shunma Katsumata’s ACL injury the KO-D Tag Team Titles were vacated earlier this week and today’s title match was cancelled. The replacement match was still The 37KAMIINA Vs BURNING but as a 6-Man Tag Match instead. Yuya Koroku was frustrated to have his title shot taken away from him so he wanted to make an example out of To-y. That ended up being a mistake. Thanks to some teamwork from Yuki Ueno & MAO, To-y ended up pinning Koroku with the Kojima Impact! Koroku couldn’t believe it but still said after the match he will not give up on chasing after the KO-D Tag Titles. To-y said he has just as many frustrations as Koroku because he was fighting for Katsumata when he really wants to win the KO-D Tag Title himself. The two argued about having a rematch until Hisaya Imabayashi came up with an idea. Tetsuya Endo & Koroku will face MAO & To-y at Sumo Hall with the vacant KO-D Tag Titles on the line! Endo talked down to Koroku backstage because he thought every point To-y made was right and he outperformed Koroku on the microphone. Of course wrestlers perform for the fans but they still need to have an ego because a pro wrestler in an embodiment of their ego. Meanwhile Yuki Iino talked about his upcoming match with Tomohiro Ishii on the 22nd December Korakuen show. He thinks Sumo Hall is where all of BURNING can regain their momentum going into the new year.

Akito wanted to have a match with Isami Kodaka for his 15th Anniversary because Kodaka was one of his seniors who helped him so much throughout his career. The two had a back and forth match that included a little trick from Akito where he used the ref as a shield. However Kodaka got the better of him by doing a Brainbuster and then pinning him down legs over shoulders to get the three count. Akito thanked him for the match and suggested they wrestle again for his 20th Anniversary. Kodaka said he would be on his 27th Anniversary by then so they should make the match the main event instead of putting it in the middle of the card.

There was a 6-Man Tag Match that was there to put the focus on Jun Akiyama Vs Yukio Naya but its attention was stolen away by the end of it. HARASHIMA & Tomomitsu Matsunaga did well to control Shinya Aoki until Aoki trapped Matsunaga in the Full Nelson Hold to get the three count. When the dust was settling, Akiyama and Naya had a staredown outside the ring, getting themselves ready for Sumo Hall. However Aoki then got on the microphone to talk about something completely different…

One of the many matches Aoki has been trying make happen this year is a bout against Kenoh from NOAH. Aoki told the fans in Korakuen Hall that on 1st January he will go to NOAH’s Budokan Hall show to have a match with Kenoh! That claim brought the actual Kenoh down to ringside where he angrily denied the match is going to happen. Aoki then asked him if they should have a match at DDT’s Sumo Hall show instead? Kenoh told him he would never climb back into DDT’s cheap and dirty ring. He respects the MMA version of Aoki but not the DDT version. He then ordered the NOAH rookie Yu Owada to have a match with Aoki right now! Aoki pinned Owada in seconds with the Full Nelson Hold. Then Keigo Nakamura got on the microphone asking to fight Kenoh for insulting the DDT fans. A brawl broke out between the four wrestlers and ended with Kenoh agreeing to a match at Sumo Hall. It will be Aoki & Nakamura against Kenoh & Owada!

Earlier in the day before the show began, Kazuki Hirata assaulted Yuki Ueno with a ring bell hammer to win back the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title. He then brought the hammer with him to fight off his six opponents in the Handicap match put together to celebrate his 37th birthday. Since it was his birthday he said the match was No DQ so he was allowed to bash everyone over the head with the hammer. Ueno then returned and pleaded Hirata to stop because this isn’t how is usually behaves. To try and win Hirata back, Ueno put on the Hirata GO! glasses and got the other wrestlers to dance with him. Hirata saw the light and joined in… until Ueno put him in a Sleeper Hold and Yoshihiko pinned him with the Reincarnation to become the champion.

Hirata was still in the ring when the O-MENZ dancer Kumadori entered the ring to talk to him. He thinks Hirata is a good dancer so they should have a dance battle. But when it began Kumadori pushed Hirata down and showed off his breakdance moves. Hirata praised his skill and admitted he cannot beat him in either dancing or wrestling. He then offered to team up with Kumadori for the dancer’s debut at Sumo Hall. The two agreed and their match will be against Makoto Oishi & Akito.

DAMNATION T.A had a good day at Korakuen. There was the title defence in the main event and also a tag victory in the opener. Demus & Ilusion didn’t take long to beat Nakamura & Kazuma Sumi. It fell apart for the losing team when Nakamura aimed a Super Kick for Ilusion that was ducked and hit Sumi instead. Demus took the opportunity to pin Sumi with La Valagueza after that.

DDT usually makes their news announcements at the start of the show but today they waited until two matches were completed first. Sanshiro Takagi gave an update that he is not ready to return to the ring yet. However he still has a special idea to celebrate his 30th Anniversary in wrestling next year. He will be producing his own show at Shinjuku FACE called “NEVER SAY NEVER” but the catch is nobody under DDT contract will be booked for it. Instead he will rely on his connections with freelancers and wrestlers from other companies to fill up the card. The first match announced for the show is Toru Owashi & Dump Matsumoto Vs The Brahman Brothers! Takagi’s goal is to come up with an unbelievable card of matches.

The NωA idol project is back with Oishi’s handpicked members deciding on their new group name. Katsumata, Yuni & Sumi will now be called NωA Jr. whenever they perform together as idols. Their debut song and CD will be unveiled at Sumo Hall. Sumi admitted he hasn’t practiced the song yet but he’s still all set for the debut.

Yesterday came the sad news that Yusuke Okada was going to retire from pro wrestling. He is still recovering from his cancer and is unable to get back to the condition needed to start wrestling again. Today is officially the date of his retirement and he got to give a speech to the fans during the show. He told the fans his treatment is going well and he is feeling fine but he thought about this decision a lot. He wrestled for 8 years and 4 of them were with DDT. He has met the best teammates and fans and will support DDT as a fan himself from now on. Takagi and Akiyama presented him with bouquets of flowers and Okada met with many wrestlers outside the ring for his exit. Included among them were Yukio Sakaguchi, Saki Akai, Kazusada Higuchi and Naomi Yoshimura. Backstage Okada said he would like to still be involved with DDT in some way.

*Shinya Aoki fails in V4. Chris Brookes becomes the 84th KO-D Openweight Champion!

A free to attend show was put together by DDT and sponsors at Higashin Arena to kick off the road to Sumo Hall happening at the end of the year. It featured a major title change in the main event with Chris Brookes defeating Shinya Aoki to become the new KO-D Openweight Champion almost a year after his first reign ended! While the match started off in a calm manner with a lot of mat work, it soon went out of the ring where Brookes put Aoki through a table with a Piledriver. Back in the ring Aoki relied on limb holds to counter Brookes, escaping the Praying Mantis Bomb by using a Side Hammerlock to take control and trap Brookes in the Manjigatame. He used the Full Nelson Hold to try and get a pinfall but Brookes kicked out of two. In return Brookes hit the Somato but Aoki kicked out for a nearfall as well. Brookes was able to put Aoki in the Octopus Hold and switched it over to the House Piano Death, keeping Aoki locked in until the champion had to give up.

Aoki took the loss well and presented Brookes with the KO-D Title belt after the match. Brookes was then told by Hisaya Imabayashi he will defend the title at “ULTIMATE PARTY 2024” on 28th December. Daisuke Sasaki entered the ring with a chair but sat down on it and congratulated Brookes instead of attacking him. Sasaki said Brookes talks a lot about love, romance, dreams and other things like that. The ring doesn’t need any of that stuff so Sasaki will win the title and bring DDT back to being the mess that it should be! He wants to fight Brookes on the biggest stage and challenged him for Sumo Hall. Brookes accepted and even shook Sasaki’s hand without incident.

Backstage Brookes praised Aoki for being incredibly strong. But Brookes had a dream of winning the title again and today it came true. Over the last year he dislocated his shoulder and recovered from a tumor but he was able to overcome all of that to become the champion again. His outlook on life and death has changed because of the last year. He also thinks DAMNATION T.A is just a bunch of B and C class wrestlers so he doesn’t think Sasaki can beat him for the title. Aoki is proud of how his title reign went. The belt is a championship, not a medal so he knew the hard work wasn’t over when he won it. Sasaki however is sick to his stomach of all the love and dreams stuff going on in DDT right now. He isn’t actually interested in becoming KO-D Champion again but he wants to mess up Brookes. His threat is Brookes will have Christmas but he won’t make it to New Year’s!

At some point in the day before the venue doors were open to the public, Yuki Ueno won the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title from Danshoku Dieno. Then at the start of the show Dieno and his team declared they are the Reiwa Meiji Restoration that will overthrow the “government” that is The 37KAMIINA! He demanded that their match in the semi-main event should be Best 2 Out Of 3 Falls so nobody can blame losing twice on a fluke. The first fall ended with a double pin on both sides at the same time. To-y pinned Dieno after doing an assisted Kojima Wonderland with Shunma Katsumata while Super Sasadango Machine was pinning Ueno with a School Boy. Daisuke Kiso ruled The 37KAMIINA as the winners of the fall because To-y and Dieno were the legal wrestlers. Sasadango pinning Ueno didn’t count towards the match but was still accepted as an Iron Man Title change, making Sasadango the new champ! The second fall had Katsumata take the Somato from HARASHIMA, the Danshoku Driver from Dieno and the Lehman Shock from Sasadango but his partner made the save. Katsumata fought back on Sasadango and pinned him with the Totonou Splash to give The 37KAMIINA a clean sweep and become Iron Man Champ in the process. All it cost the team was To-y being sacrificed to Dieno’s antics. Yuni then surprised Katsumata with a Roll Up after the match to take the title from him.

Satoshi Kojima was one of the guest attractions for the show and he was advertised in advance so there was no need to call him “X” beforehand. His presence brought memories back to Antonio Honda of the TenKoji Police arresting the Monster Army back in 2012. This time they were teaming up but Honda was still missing some courage. He wanted to quit the match from the moment he had to square off against Jun Akiyama. A stark difference to Shinichiro Kawamatsu wanting to fight Kojima. Yukio Naya stopped Kojima’s momentum with a Choke Slam so Honda tried to summon Gongitsune. Akiyama blocked Honda but that caused Kojima to do the Gongitsune Eye Poke to him instead! He then intercepted Kawamatu’s Axe Bomber with the Lariat but Naya came back to cut him off. Akiyama got his hands on Honda to give him the Exploder Suplex and Kawamatsu recovered to hit Honda with the Shitamachi Rocket and pin him.

This new version of Ilusion is being described by Sasaki as the little demon who sold his soul to the Devil. He tried to avoid fighting Takeshi Masada early in their match and intentionally Dropkicked the referee from behind so the rest of DAMNATION T.A could run interference. Masahiro Takanashi was already in Masada’s corner for the match so he was there to run counter-interference. However DAMNATION T.A had the numbers advantage and KANON distracted the ref long enough for Ilusion to give Masada a Low Blow, Sasaki to give him the Pedigree and Ilusion to hit him over the head with a chair. The ref was let go in time to see Ilusion do the Swanton Bomb onto Masada and get the three count. Ilusion taunted the fans for being quiet and attacked Masada even more to make them boo him. He then said SCHADENFREUDE International are going to live in a dark future from now on and Masada should never show his annoying face to him ever again!

A lot of the matches on the show had different sponsors which is how DDT was able to have free attendance. Match #4 was sponsored by a wrestling themed social networking app called STOMPING. A masked representative from the company named Stomping Mask introduced the match and watched on to see Makoto Oishi & Soma Takao beat Toru Owashi & Kazuki Hirata. Oishi admitted during the match he was in a bad mood so Hirata convinced him to wear a pair of Hirata GO! glasses to get rid of his stress. They both danced until Takao rolled up Hirata from behind to pin him. Backstage Stomping Mask complained to Hirata for not doing a good job to promote the app. Hirata attacked and unmasked him to reveal it was Hisaya Imabayashi all along!

DAMNATION T.A also won their 8-Man Tag Match earlier in the show. With Demus added to their lineup they had someone who could go toe to toe with Tetsuya Endo with lucha while KANON & MJ Paul were able to handled Takanashi & Yuya Koroku. Sasaki finished things off for Takanashi by dropping him with the Pedigree and submitting him with the Crossface Lock.

Three mascots made their pro wrestling debut in Match #2. On one side, DDT’s own mascot Pokotan teamed up with Touchi-kun from the Japan Self-Defence Force. Their opponents were Oshinari-kun from the Oshinari Shopping District and Higapyon from the Tokyo Higashi Shinkin Bank. Pokotan had no problem fighting Oshinari-kun but didn’t want to attack the cute rabbit Higapyon. Touchi-kun didn’t approve of how violent Pokotan was acting anyway so the three mascots all stood up to Pokotan. They knocked his head off and Oshinari-kun pinned Pokotan with the Diving Hip Drop. Pokotan saw the error of his ways after the match and the four of them all posed for the audience.

Kazuma Sumi is learning new ways to use the School Boy on his opponents. He was able to spin Yuki Ishida into the cradle to take the three count from him in the opening match. Sumi said he will continue to polish this move even more so he can pin his seniors with it from now on. Yuni was happy with his performance because today is his last match before he wrestles in America for DDT’s tour in Seattle next week. He wants to make a name for himself when he wrestles Gringo Loco and Konosuke Takeshita in his two matches over there. Ishida admitted he underestimated Sumi and Keigo Nakamura also said they have no excuses for losing today.

It was announced that Yuki Iino will face New Japan wrestler Tomohiro Ishii at Korakuen Hall on 22nd December! Iino said he is really looking forward to the heavyweight fight and wants everyone to come see it. He wants to end the year by beating Ishii and then win at Sumo Hall so he can keep on BURNING.

There was an intermission performance by members of the idol group KLP48. They are a sister group of AKB48 based in Kuala Lumpur and today was their first ever performance in Japan.

Akito spoke to the wrestling media after the show. He revealed Sanshiro Takagi saw companies like Kyushu Pro running sponsored shows in their own regions which inspired him to try it out with DDT in Tokyo. Akito thinks there were mistakes made but they are able to learn from them. He will give it some thought before deciding if DDT will hold this event again next year. The goal is to get people excited for DDT’s shows at Korakuen and Sumo Hall at the end of the year. The attendance number above isn’t accurate because people were allowed to come and go from the venue as the show went on. Akito said 1,600 seats were set up and the room could take 1,800 people in total at all times. So the extra 400 to make it 2,200 are considered to be people who came in during the show after other people left (the DDT site briefly had the number at 1,800 as the match results were coming in before quickly changing it to 2,200 after the show had ended).

3. O-40 Title – 3 Way Match: Toru Owashi defeated Azul Dragon (c) and Danshoku Dieno when Owashi pinned Dieno with La Magistral (5:35).
*Azul Dragon fails in V2. Toru Owashi becomes the 6th O-40 Champion!
4. Tetsuya Endo & Yuya Koroku defeated Jun Akiyama & Keigo Nakamura when Endo pinned Nakamura with the Burning Star Press (9:01).
5. Special Tag Match: Shinya Aoki & Yuki Ueno defeated HARASHIMA & Takeshi Masada when Aoki pinned Masada with a Modified Inside Cradle (10:13).
6. KO-D Tag Team Titles – Falls Count Anywhere: MAO & Shunma Katsumata (c) defeated Kota Umeda & Tomomitsu Matsunaga when Katsumata pinned Matsunaga with the Sauna Trance Splash through a Table (11:46).
*V2 for ShunMao.
7. DDT Universal Title: Yuki Iino (c) defeated To-y with the Spear (18:28).
*V2 for Yuki Iino.
It’s nice that To-y has a never say die attitude but that wasn’t going to win him the DDT Universal Title today. An endless barrage of Chops from the challenger drew Yuki Iino into firing back with his own. Iino then hit the Spear to bring the match into its closing stretch. He hit threw three Lariats and hit To-y with another Spear to win and defend the title. At the very least, Iino developed a new found respect for his opponent. He always referred to him as Kojima even after the name change but he will start calling him To-y from now on. Iino will also go find ways to make his BURNING even hotter!
Both members of ShunMao have talked about defending the KO-D Tag Team Titles anytime, anywhere and against anyone. To show that they weren’t joking they challenged Kota Umeda & Tomomitsu Matsunaga to change the rules of their title match to Falls Count Anywhere! The champions went on to prove why that match is their specialty by successfully defending the belts. Shunma Katsumata got the pin at ringside after he putMatsunaga through a table with the Sauna Trance Splash from a ladder. Umeda refused to shake hands with the champions after the match. MAO admitted he thought about quitting when the match was first announced but now that his team won he knows they are the best! He’s glad ShunMao were able to show their true colours by doing a Falls Count Anywhere match inside a beautiful venue. He doesn’t know when the next title defence is but ShunMao will do it anytime and anywhere. They don’t even need a ring! Umeda’s next appearance in DDT will be at DNA’s 10th Anniversary show. He named Yuki Iino and Keigo Nakamura as his preferred choice of opponents because he has close connections with those two. He would also like to fight Kazusada Higuchi again whenever he returns from injury.
Shinya Aoki had a lucky escape in his match. He was on the verge of defeat when HARASHIMA hit him with the Somato. However Takeshi Masada was the legal man and Aoki caught him in a Small Package to get the three count out of nowhere. In an uncharacteristic move by a KO-D Openweight Champion, Aoki admitted today was a moral defeat. When he took the Somato his mind went blank and he does not know if he can figure out a gameplan to counter it in time for next Sunday’s title match. Meanwhile HARASHIMA is feeling confident going into that match now that he knows how effective the Somato will be against Aoki.
The O-40 Title is back in the hands of Toru Owashi, making him the first two time champion in the belt’s history. He beat Azul Dragon directly while Danshoku Dieno was preoccupied from being in the Hell Gate position. Owashi didn’t get many people challenging him the first time round so this time he wants to raise the championship’s value and make it something worthwhile. He asks if there are any wrestlers over 40 years old to please come and challenge him for the belt!
DAMNATION T.A added insult to injury after Match #2 when they tried to cut off Yuki Ishida’s hair with a pair of scissors. Akito & Yukio Naya came to the rescue. Once Ishida was saved he promised to take the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles from DAMNATION T.A at his hometown tomorrow. However Daisuke Sasaki warned he will humiliate Ishida in Kumamoto so badly that Ishida will never be able to walk those streets ever again!

*Danshoku Dieno becomes the 1,675th champion.
5. DDT Extreme Title – IPPON Lighttube Tag Team Death Match: Akito & Yuni defeated Shunma Katsumata (c) & Kazuma Sumi by IPPON when Yuni did a Diving Foot Stomp to Katsumata on the Lighttube (15:02).
*Shunma Katsumata fails in V7. Akito becomes the 60th DDT Extreme Champion!
6. DDT Universal Title: Yuki Iino (c) defeated Yukio Naya with the Spear (17:04).
*V1 for Yuki Iino.
7. Special 6-Man Tag Match: Yuki Ueno, MAO & Kaisei Takechi defeated Chris Brookes, Masahiro Takanashi & Takeshi Masada when Ueno pinned Masada with the WR (25:11).

For the second time this year DDT can thank Kaisei Takechi for getting them a sold out Korakuen Hall. Seven months after his impressive debut, Takechi was back to have another match. He was with Yuki Ueno and The 37KAMIINA again this time with MAO along for the ride. Takeshi Masada was a familiar opponent from last time but now he’s a part of SCHADENFREUDE International. And when you get SCHADENFREUDE you get the antics of Chris Brookes & Masahiro Takanashi to deal with. They used the rubber band spot on him from across the room and Brookes threw Takechi’s into the iron rails at ringside. Brookes also beat Takechi’s chest red with Chops. However Takechi fought back by hitting a No Touch Topé Con Hilo onto everyone outside the ring and then giving Brookes a Choke Slam. The match then came down to Ueno pinned Masada with the WR ensuring that Masada is still unbeaten after two matches.

After the match Masada wanted to keep fighting Takechi even though he lost. Brookes though calmed things down and even shook Takechi’s hand. Takechi said he is still new at wrestling and does not want to stop here. Makoto Oishi is one of his mentors and he heard Oishi’s final match with DDT is on 3rd October. Takechi wants to have a match with Oishi on that show even though he knows Oishi is already booked for a KO-D Tag Team Titles match. Oishi thought about it. He pointed out it would be disrespectful towards the champions if he uses up some of his energy wrestling another match beforehand. However ShunMao both gave them the thumbs up to do the match. DDT later announced that match will be Takechi & Oishi against Akito & Kazuki Hirata. Until then Takechi is going straight back to doing his duties with THE RAMPAGE. Backstage Masada complained that him losing this match and Hideki Okatani losing the first match back in February is not showing the future of DDT in a good light. He swears the next time he faces Takechi he will beat him with a three count.

Takechi drawing in a big crowd fired up the undercard to show what the rest of DDT is made of. Yuki Iino’s defence of the DDT Universal Title against Yukio Naya was a battle between the last two homegrown heavyweights still standing in the company. In a match filled with Chops, slams, Shoulder Blocks and Lariats Iino had to hit three Spears on Naya to beat him. It took three Spears because Naya kicked out at one the first time, at two the second and was finally pinned for three on the third time. The two shook hands after the match and praised each other.

Iino was then suddenly ambushed by To-y after Naya left the ring. He gave Iino a Dropkick but was then taken down with the Spear. To-y’s spirit wouldn’t break though and he challenged Iino for a shot at the Universal Title. Iino ran the ropes looking to Spear him again but instead stopped himself and accepted the challenge because To-y wants it so badly. It will happen in Fukuoka on 13th October. Iino warns that it will only take one Spear to beat To-y and he is confident it will happen. To-y wants to start winning championships like everyone else in The 37KAMIINA is doing. He can’t stay in the position he is in and has no choice but to move forward. That’s why he isn’t losing any heart despite getting Speared over and over.

A new generation of wrestlers got to experience the IPPON Lighttube Death Match. Shunma Katsumata put the DDT Extreme Title on the line against Akito in a tag team version of the match. The added stipulation was Katsumata teamed with Kazuma Sumi and Akito teamed with Yuni. If Katsumata’s team won then it is a successful title defence but if they lost then Akito becomes the new champion no matter who was directly involved in the finish. Yuki Ishida and Yuya Koroku demonstrated the rules of the match using a plastic baseball bat to explain who would lose depending on how the lighttube would break. The match itself had many close calls and near misses with the lighttube. The finish came when Akito Body Slammed Katsumata onto the lighttube, placed Sumi on top of him and then pinned the both of them down. Yuni then did a Diving Foot Stomp onto the pile, causing the lighttube to be crushed underneath. Since Katsumata was lying directly on top of it, the ruling was he broke the lighttube so Akito wins the championship!

Akito was pleased with how the match went and told the others that the stipulation does not exclusively belong to him. He wants the match to belong to represent DDT so he is passing it down to them. Whenever Katsumata, Yuni or Sumi find an opponent who they think can put on an amazing IPPON Lighttube Death Match, Akito wants them to use those rules. Akito then nominated Danshoku Dieno to be his first challenger because he had a secret to tell him. Dieno entered the ring carrying his beloved pet dog Haku and listened to what Akito had to say. Back when Akito was sent by Sanshiro Takagi to go destroy Pheromones, Akito actually liked the gimmick in general. But he hated Danshoku “Dandy” Dieno because he admires Dieno too much to see him in a supporting role. Pheromones meant so much to Dieno and Akito got rid of it so Akito wants to put what is most important to him on the line against Dieno to make up for it. What matters most to Akito is the Extreme Title. Dieno said Akito underestimated him. It’s true that he cared a lot about Pheromones but Dieno has so many other important purposes in life. He also has room to add the Extreme Title to that list on 20th October! Akito shook Haku’s paw to seal the deal.

Dieno was the opponent chosen for Oishi’s final singles match under contract for DDT with the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title on the line. Daisuke Kiso was the referee for the match but Hisaya Imabayashi warned both wrestlers that Yukinori Matsui was sitting backstage and if anybody broke the rules, he would come out and deliver strict justice! A camera backstage filmed Matsui watching the match and Imabayashi would put that footage on the screen as a warning whenever the rules were being bent. Matsui did get angry watching Dieno and Oishi’s antics but he remained backstage. Imabayashi though lost his temper and climbed into the ring to complain, pushing down Kiso for not doing a good enough job. That was Matsui’s breaking point and he marched down to ringside Goldberg style. He got distracted by a few different people including Imabayashi trying to stop him. But they settled their differences with a kiss and entered the ring together along with Dieno’s pet dog Haku. Matsui asked Kiso to let Dieno and Oishi keep wrestling they way they want to because it is Oishi’s last DDT match in Korakuen. The match continued and Oishi immediately tapped out Dieno with a Sleeper Hold to win the Iron Man Title. Dieno then grabbed Oishi in the same move after the match to win it back.

If Match #3 was a test to see if Ilusion deserves to be part of the upcoming KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles match then he failed it. DAMNATION T.A all brought chairs to the ring and threw them at Ilusion’s team before the bell. Antonio Honda summoned Gongitsune but the attack hit his teammates and the referee by mistake. Ilusion was thrown into the ropes where MJ Paul broke a chair over his head. Daisuke Sasaki & KANON then finished him off with the Freedom Call to give DAMNATION T.A the win.

Good news for Kazuki Hirata. He doesn’t have to worry about holding the white Right To Challenge Shield anymore because Soma Takao beat him for it. That was in fact Tetsuya Endo & Yuya Koroku’s goal for the match too. All of them wanted to pin Hirata to take the Shield off of him. Hirata had Toru Owashi & Yuki Ishida to play bodyguard for him but that trust eventually ran out. Hirata used the Tegatana chop to knock out both his opponents as well as his own teammates. Endo grabbed Hirata and lifted him up for the Torture Rack Bomb but Hirata slipped on a pair of Hirata GO! glasses over his face to stop it. The two of them danced but when the song ended, Takao rolled up Hirata for the three count behind Endo’s back.

It always feels weird to me when the main championship is the curtain jerker for any wrestling show. But Shinya Aoki had things to do involving the RIZIN show that was happening in Saitama later in the evening so here we have the KO-D Openweight Champion in the opening match. He got to face off against Jun Akiyama but the tag match came down to HARASHIMA pinning Keigo Nakamura with the Somato. HARASHIMA thanked Aoki for teaming with him. He then said he cannot wait any long to try and win a Right To Challenge Shield so he is challenging Aoki for the KO-D Title! It turns out Aoki has been waiting for this moment to happen all along because he thinks HARASHIMA is the undisputed ace of DDT. He accepted the challenge for 20th October and promised to use all of his strength to defend the strongest championship in Japan.

DDT announced they found a main sponsor for their free show in Sumida on 4th November. Geeniest is a character goods company that usually provides pop-up shops in department stores and event halls.

For the second time this year DDT held a show where they encouraged fans in attendance not to spoil anything that happened on it until the following day. DDT themselves only posted about the pre-show contract signing along with censored hints about the crazy things that happened during the matches. Since this was also a Beer Garden show that meant fans were also getting more creative matches than usual.

For example in the main event a sauna tent was pitched next to the ring and any wrestler caught breaking the rules or ignoring sauna etiquette were sent into the tent as punishment. Danshoku Dieno took part in the match as a “sauna master” of an imposter group called Shin The 37KAMIINA. Their goal was to beat and replace the original unit. One by one a different wrestler was sent to the tent for breaking etiquette. To-y broke the rule of attacking an opponent on the ropes, Dieno was punished for being lewd, Takayuki Ueki was sent to the tent for threatening his opponents with a gun and Yuki Ueno got in trouble for telling Yukinori Matsui to shut up. Eventually everyone was sent to the tent and remained there until To-y ran out accusing Dieno of harrassing him in there. The match continued in the ring where Shunma Katsumata and Keizo Matsuda tried to attack each other using heatwaves until they both fainted. To-y ended up scoring an upset pin on Dieno by giving him a Frankensteiner. As a result he won both the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title as well as Dieno’s Right To Challenge Shield!

Dieno immediately won back the title when he rolled up To-y during his victory speech but the Shield remains with To-y. Makoto Oishi then approached Dieno and asked him for an impromptu singles match right now! Time was short so Hisaya Imabayashi could only let it go ahead if the match had a time limit of 4 minutes and 7 seconds. Everyone agreed and began the match. Dieno and Oishi quickly fought amongst the crowd while the rest of the roster danced and partied around them before joining in the fight. Back in the ring Oishi gave Dieno the Lip Lock but time ran out before he could pin him. Oishi then asked to have another match with Dieno. Imabayashi decided it will happen at Korakuen Hall on 29th September.

Yoshihiko defeated Takeshi Masada in a wild match that at one point had both of them fighting each other on top of a nearby van. The match ended with Yoshihiko trying to drown Masada by pressing his head down into a bucket of water. Matsui called off the match in Yoshihiko’s favour when Masada stopped responding.

Each of the wrestlers in the 4 Way Match took on different gimmicks from their usual selves. MAO came out as an Orange Cassidy tribute called Mikan Cassidy, Chris Brookes turned into a police sergeant, HARASHIMA transformed into OBAKSHIMA the horror monster and Keigo Nakamura became a K5000 robot impervious to almost every attack. Sgt. Brookes shooting him with a gun had no effect. What did cause him harm was MAO squirting K5000 with a water gun. Sgt. Brookes sprayed both OBAKSHIMA and K5000 with a fire extinguisher and then snapped a long rubber strap into them. Mikan then lazily laid on top of K5000 for the pinfall.

A retro themed match was held under DRAGONGATE rules because Toru Owashi was acting like the troublesome heel he was back in 2004. Kazuki Hirata also showed up dressed in his debut gear and acting like a rookie all over again. Antonio Honda filled completed the bizarre trio by appearing as his Hulk Hogan tribute gimmick called Pero Pero Oyakata. Their match against a confused DAMNATION T.A turned into a brawl around the venue. KANON didn’t understand why Hirata wasn’t dancing and tried to tempt him with the Hirata GO! glasses. Things went out of hand when Honda stripped down to his underwear and tried to give everyone the Pedigree. When he tried to do it on Matsui, the referee called off the match.

A planned 6-Man Tag Match was turned into a 5 Vs 1 Handicap Match when Poison Sawada JULIE brainwashed Tetsuya Endo’s partners with Snake Magic! JULIE also did it to his own partners so Endo had to fight a snake army all by himself. Endo got his hands on the antidote during the match and soon cured Yuki Iino, Yuya Koroku and Kazuma Sumi. They all spat Poison Mist at JULIE, rendering him helpless so Endo could pin him with the Burning Star Press. Yuni was still brainwashed after the match but Endo got him to take the antidote and return to normal.

The masked dancing master Furitsuke Kamen choreographed a special entrance for Makoto Oishi but Akito interrupted it halfway through. He, Masahiro Takanashi & Ilusion would only let them do it if Oishi’s team could beat them. With some help from Yukio Naya, Yuki Ishida and Kamen himself Oishi was able to beat Ilusion by submission and everyone did the dance together.

The contract signing before the show was for the upcoming KO-D Tag Team Titles match. ShunMao held the titles last year but had to vacate them when Katsumata got injured. When he recovered, MAO wanted to hold off on challenging for the titles again so it could be used as a trump card. He decided to use that trump card after Ueno lost the KO-D Openweight Title so The 37KAMIINA could quickly recover their momentum. MAO considers CDK to be their true rivals, not SCHADENFREUDE International. Brookes understands his opinion and even agrees with it. He admits he & Masada struggled to beat Ueno & To-y over the weekend. But he wants his team to wrestle using their own style unique to DDT no matter if they win or lose. Masada said he wants to defend the titles even if it means he has to crawl onto the next step. ShunMao thinks he still hasn’t evolved enough yet though.

At the end of the show Oishi told everyone he wants a new version of NωA to continue without him. He asked Shunma Katsumata, Yuni & Sumi to form Shin NωA. Yuni & Sumi were both excited by the idea but Katsumata was hesitant to do it. He eventually agreed when Yuni & Sumi told him they both would like to become idols. The three of them sang one of the songs together to close out the show.

7. Osaka Specialty Special Tag Match: Chris Brookes & Takeshi Masada defeated Yuki Ueno & To-y when Masada pinned To-y with the Masada No Chikara KOBU Mukimuki (21:05).
On the day before the fated showdown in Nagoya there were some extra drama made in Osaka today. The show was dedicated to Takeshi Masada’s homecoming but he was left out of some of the signature SCHADENFREUDE International spots during the main event. Since his mother was in the audience, Masada was upset he didn’t get to look his best in front of her and considered walking out of the match. However he returned to the ring when the fans chanted his name and even scored the winning pinfall.
Two Right To Challenge Shields changed hands today. The black shield now belongs to Yuki Iino after he beat KANON fair and square. KANON bent the rules by throwing Yuya Koroku into Iino’s way at ringside and then grabbed a chair to hit his opponent with. In the ring Iino used a rope break to get out of the Cobra Twist and then hit the Spear to pin KANON. The two will be facing each other again in a 6-Man Tag Match. KANON swears he will get revenge and win back the Shield from Iino, otherwise his plan with the Shield will have completely fallen apart!
There was a gross moment in Match #5 when MAO caused Fuminori Abe to vomit a little bit after giving him a Thrust Kick to the stomach. After the match MAO told Abe not to vomit again while Abe tried to act like it was nothing to be embarrassed about. In fact, Abe thinks he did something amazing and promised to eat a bowl of katsudon before tomorrow’s DDT Universal Title match so his vomit will be even filthier! Backstage MAO said he understands the strength of a person who has just been humiliated so he knows he is in for a fight to defend his title tomorrow.
In what could be the last time Jun Akiyama and Makoto Oishi face each other one on one, Akiyama made sure to use the upgraded version of his finisher to win. He said he wanted to use the Exploder Suplex that hurts more than usual just for the ocassion. Oishi hopes there will be another chance for them to have a singles match again in the future. If it does happen, he’ll promise to break Akiyama’s knee with the Fujiyama Knee Lock this time. Akiyama said that won’t work because he’ll just beat Oishi in under five minutes.
Tetsuya Endo is feeling confident heading into tomorrow’s KO-D Openweight Title Match. He got the win for BURNING in a tag bout today. Now all there is left to do is face Shinya Aoki, overcome his own weaknesses and beat him to become the KO-D Champion for a fourth time.
There were complaints from the wrestlers in the opening match about a bad smell coming from Danshoku Dieno. He had eaten gyoza filled with extra garlic before the show and everyone else had to deal with his, um, side effects. Toru Owashi got the worst of it by getting his face shoved into Dieno’s Hell Gate. The smell was so bad he had to give up! Dieno won Owashi’s Right To Challenge Shield but he is conflicted over it. His goal to remain as the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Champion for one year has now gotten more difficult because the Shield makes him even more of a target than before! Plus if he does cash in the title shot and loses, he will lose the Iron Man Title too.

4. The Long Awaited New Series By Hisaya Imabayashi! Kaidan Shin Numabukuro Deathmatch 2: Shunma Katsumata & Jun Akiyama Vs Danshoku Dieno & Makoto Oishi ended in a No Contest (7:50).
5. Special Single Match: Chris Brookes defeated Ilusion with the Praying Mantis Bomb (13:53).
6. Beer Garden Specialty Customer Lottery 8-Man Tag Match: Tetsuya Endo, Yuki Ueno, Yuki Iino & Takeshi Masada defeated MAO, HARASHIMA, Kazuki Hirata & Yukio Naya when Endo pinned Hirata with the Burning Star Press (21:34).
The fan lottery determined the teams for the main event but nobody was told everyone was going to be switching gimmicks too! On one team Tetsuya Endo dressed as HARASHIMA, Yuki Ueno dressed as Takeshi Masada, Yuki Iino dressed as Endo and Masada was dressed as Kazuki Hirata. On the other team MAO was dressed as Yukio Naya, HARASHIMA was dressed as Ueno, Hirata was dressed as Iino and Naya was dressed as MAO. By taking on each other’s costumes they also copied the entrances and attempted to copy the movesets to mixed results. Some got offended at how bad the impersonation of themselves were which caused some more confusion. In the end, Endo channeled HARASHIMA’s Somato and used the move on Hirata before pinning him with the Burning Star Press.
After being rejected several times, Ilusion was given one golden chance to convince Chris Brookes directly that he genuinely wants to join SCHADENFREUDE International. Brookes put him through the wringer to prove it, going as far as to pull Ilusion’s mask apart. The youngster got a replacement mask but that to would get torn open. The match reached a point where it was clear Ilusion would not win but he kept fighting until Brookes pinned him with the Praying Mantis Bomb. After the match Antonio Honda told Ilusion he lost, but he lost the right way. Everyone who is in SCHADENFREUDE belong there not because they are strong but because they have messed up their own lives. Brookes then told Ilusion he deserves to join the group and welcomed him in! Ilusion said he will learn from the other members from this point onwards so he can get strong and become the centre of DDT!
Something completely unforeseen happened in the Shin Numabukuro Deathmatch. Jun Akiyama won it before Hisaya Imabayashi could even have a chance to begin telling his ghost story! The room went dark and Akiyama found himself travelling back in time to his entrance for the match. He won the match with a School Boy a second time only to time travel back to the beginning again. He soon realised this will keep happening until he wins the match in under three minutes using something other than a Roll Up! Time looped again and at the three minute mark Imabayashi told his ghost story, making everyone faint from shock one by one. But when he went to Akiyama it was blocked. Akiyama physically forced Imabayashi to point at himself causing Imabayashi to die from fright! The room went dark again and Akiyama travelled back to his ring entrance once more, doomed to relive this match over and over forever…
The last time DAMNATION T.A swapped out Daisuke Sasaki for Mataro Suzuki worked out well so they brought the video team member back and declared him their new leader! It was all a trick so Sasaki could enter the match halfway through and give his team the 4-on-3 numbers advantage to win.
It was explained that Honda could not wrestle today because he was suffering from love sickness so A.YAZAWA took his place in the Rock ‘N’ Roll Death Match. There was rock music to make the participants dance, drinking music to make them drink beer and even romantic music to get everyone in the mood.
The Light Blue Right To Challenge Shield now belongs to Toru Owashi after he pinned Keigo Nakamura to win the opening match.
At the start of the show Yuki Ishida announced he has left his gig at the sumo agency in Osaka he joined a few months ago to return home to Tokyo. He will now become a full time wrestler for DDT again but decided to leave behind his “Dosukoi” personality. He tried to wrestle his match without it but was told by Owashi that without Dosukoi he has nothing. Ishida ignored the advice and completed the match. However at the end of the show voice actor Tetsu Inada gave him a spirited talk and Ishida admitted he wants to wrestle using Dosukoi spirit after all! Everyone welcomed him back after hearing that revelation.
