One round left in the group stage of the D-Ou Grand Prix and it’s all to play for. In the A Block each of the three matches have repercussions for the top spot. For the five still alive they need more than just a win to reach the final. Let’s look at what they need.

Yuki Iino: Needs at least a draw and for Takeshita & Ishii to both not win. If either do win, Iino will lose the tiebreaker against them. If both lose, Iino can qualify with a draw because he wins tiebreakers against Endo & Brookes.

Keisuke Ishii: Needs to win and he will qualify regardless of the other results. He will beat any tiebreakers against Iino & Takeshita. If he gets a draw then he will need Iino to not win and Takeshita Vs Brookes to end in a draw.

Konosuke Takeshita: Needs to win and have Ishii lose. There is no possible tiebreaker he can win.

Tetsuya Endo: Needs to win, have Iino lose and Takeshita Vs Brookes end in a draw. He is still alive if Brookes beats Takeshita because of the draw they had. In that situation Endo Vs Brookes in a playoff decides who wins the block.

Chris Brookes: Needs to win, have Iino lose and Endo Vs Ishii end in a draw. That way his win over Ishii is the tiebreaker. As mentioned above, Brookes and Endo both winning creates a playoff between them unless Iino gets a point.

The B Block is simpler to work out but still has a risk of getting messy. Masato Tanaka only needs a draw to qualify. HARASHIMA needs to beat Tanaka and hope Daisuke Sasaki does not beat Naomi Yoshimura. However if HARASHIMA and Sasaki both win, we get a three way tie with the tiebreakers all cancelling each other. The Soma Takao Vs Yukio Sakaguchi match does not matter in this situation.

Four singles matches each with 10 minute time limits will have its participants determined by a lottery. The 8 wrestlers taking part are Yuka Sakazaki, Maki Itoh, Miyu Yamashita, Hikari Noa, Mizuki, Mina Shirakawa, Mirai Maiumi and Suzume.

Sakisama will be taking an absence from Tokyo Joshi Pro by the end of the year. Before she leaves she takes part in a lottery tag match. How will she handle teaming with either Yuna Manase, Pom Harajuku or Mahiro Kiryu?

Now that she is a superhero again, Hyper Misao is taking time off to train at her local hyperbolic time chamber. Her return match will be against Shoko Nakajima on 4th January. It is fitting for a superhero’s first fight back to be against the Big Kaiju!

Saki Akai makes her annual appearance for Tokyo Joshi. Akai’s opponent is Yuki Kamifuku, who looks up to her not just as a wrestler but as a professional. Kamifuku thinks Akai is a good example of a joshi who can be both feminine and strong in the ring. She asked for this match to see if she can reach Akai’s level with her own style and beauty.

This is not the completed card. Tetsuya Koda is waiting to see if any inactive members of the roster will be ready in time before he sets everything in stone. Could an injured wrestler be close to full recovery?

Atsushi Onita also wants to find a way to bring the show over to Tampa next year for Wrestlemania week. Ken Ohka is so enthusiastic with the project that he asked Onita to co-promote a Ganbare☆Wrestling show with him next January. Onita agreed and Ganbare☆Onita Oya☆Pro Wrestling (Gan☆Nita☆Pro Wrestling for short) was born.

The group stage of this year’s D-Ou Grand Prix is nearing its end. Today confirmed some eliminations while keeping hopes alive for others. One such example was in the main event. Konosuke Takeshita is still alive going into the last set of matches but Chihiro Hashimoto’s chances are now gone. The German Suplexes were flying in there match including one where Hashimoto Suplexed Takeshita on the ring apron. But Takeshita won out in the end, countering the Albright into his own German Suplex and holding on for dear life so Hashimoto wouldn’t kick out. Takeshita thanked his opponent for the match but also said he is stronger than her. His goal is to win the Grand Prix and regain the KO-D Openweight Title. He hopes it will be around his waist again when DDT returns to Hiroshima next year.

HARASHIMA’s victory over Bull James keeps him tied with Daisuke Sasaki right behind the B Block leader Masato Tanaka. HARASHIMA targeted James’ leg early, using a Figure 4 Leg Lock. The plan worked out when James had difficulty moving in to do the Doink Drop. HARASHIMA stunned James with a High Kick and pinned him with the Somato. This was James’ last match in the tournament. He won’t reach the final but he is proud of his overall performance.

It has become a tight race over in the A Block. It’s even tighter now that Chris Brookes is coming in as a late challenger. By beating Keisuke Ishii, Brookes can find a path to the final if a few remaining results go his way. With Takeshita as his final opponent, Brookes warns that he is more prepared for him than anyone else in their block. It was a result that Ishii could have done without. He blamed his defeat on Brookes’ height. A pro wrestler as proud as Ishii should not be losing to tall people.

The Grand Prix is now over for Yuki Ueno. His run ends with a loss to Yuki Iino. Ueno’s excitement got the better of him. When he hit a Half Nelson Suplex he turned his back on Iino to run the ropes. What he didn’t notice was Iino standing right back up so he could grab him for a Bubba Bomb. One Lariat and a Spear later ended the match. Ueno said he has a lot of regrets from this tournament but today’s match is something he will never forget.

Things just keep getting worse for Naomi Yoshimura. His losing streak extended even further after a flash loss to Soma Takao. A Running Elbow Smash of all moves was what put Yoshimura down for the count this time. He protested the pin to Yukinori Matsui after the match. Keigo Nakamura tried to hold him back but Yoshimura retaliated by giving him a Choke Slam before storming off.

In Match #3 Kazuki Hirata unleashed his Knockout Chop on Tetsuya Endo but it had no effect. Hirata was too busy dancing to notice so Endo played dead until he found his moment to strike and win the match for DAMNATION.

Rey Paloma joined in with Antonio Honda’s usual gameplan. He suffered Honda’s usual setbacks too. However Honda came to his partner’s aid after Makoto Oishi threw him into Danshoku Dieno’s Hell Gate. Oishi had Paloma pinned in a Sunset Flip when Honda stuck his fingers in Dieno’s backside to charge up Gongitsune. Honda then used Gongitsune to poke Oishi’s face and Paloma rolled him up for the three count. Paloma won the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title but Oishi would win it back later in the show.

The next batch of D-Ou Grand Prix shows began with a trip to Osaka. The main event was between two Osaka locals, Konosuke Takeshita and Yuki Ueno. For Ueno he didn’t waste any time and he jumped Takeshita from the bell. He Dropkicked him out of the ring, Moonsaulted onto him and gave him a Brainbuster on the floor. Takeshita threw Ueno into the corner post but when he charged in, Ueno moved out of the way and Takeshita hit the post. Midway through the match Takeshita attempted the Walls Of Takeshita but Ueno escaped. Ueno countered a Lariat into a bridging Northern Lights Suplex for a nearfall. Ueno went for the Frog Splash but Takeshita got up and caught his opponent with a Flapjack in midair. He then applied the Walls Of Takeshita and eventually made Ueno tap out. Takeshita said this was his 4th singles match with Ueno. He has won all of them but Ueno is getting stronger. Takeshita also said he will win the Grand Prix on behalf of Osaka!

Just when their tag team moved past its rough patch, Daisuke Sasaki and Soma Takao had to wrestle each other in their block! Sasaki dropped to the canvas when the match began and gestured for Takao to pin him but it was a trap and Sasaki cradled him for a two count. From there the match was on. Takao chased Sasaki around ringside and knocked him off the top rope by throwing a chair at him. Takao got Sasaki in the Official Endless Waltz after some shenanigans with the referee. Sasaki kicked out and caught Takao in the Crossface Lock. Takao tried to counter it into the Gin And Tonic but Sasaki rolled him back into a Crucifix Pin to get the three count. Sasaki called today a huge win and when he wins the Grand Prix he expects an open car victory parade in Nerima.

Three matches in and Naomi Yoshimura continues to be the only wrestler without any points. His third loss was at the hands of HARASHIMA thanks to a Buzzsaw Kick and the Somato. HARASHIMA would like to face him again because they are part of the same unit.

Tetsuya Endo won his first match in the block and gave Chihiro Hashimoto her first defeat in the process. Hashimoto did the Albright German Suplex but Endo landed on his feet. The then pinned Hashimoto with the Puma Toke de Espaldas. Endo describes the move as his perfect three count. Hashimoto said Endo’s power was completely different from her previous opponents and it was hard to read his movements. She also acknowledged her right knee isn’t 100% so it was natural for Endo to target it during the match.

The top of the A Block has become packed after today’s results. Keisuke Ishii added himself to the pile by beating Yuki Iino. He wore down Iino with a Low Knee Attack, a German Suplex and then won with the Kneel Kick. Ishii called Iino a monster. Ishii had the confidence to beat a monster today.

The size and toughness of Bull James meant he could take what Yukio Sakaguchi could throw at him. Sakaguchi hit him with the God’s Right Knee but went for a Sleeper Hold afterwards. James lifted him up to escape but Sakaguchi then locked in a Jumping Triangle Choke. James lifted him up again and hit him in the corner to escape. James kept the attacks coming until he hit the Doink Drop to win. James praised Sakaguchi for being a great, talented wrestler. It was one of the hardest matches of his career so far.

Chris Brookes & Yuni won the 4 Way Tag Match. Later Yuni revealed that he had moved to Tokyo when he entered junior high school this year. He announced that he will graduate from being a child pro wrestler on 1st March next year and will re-debut as a full fledged pro wrestling trainee. After wrestling for three years, his desire to learn more has become stronger. So he will start all over again as a proper trainee and come back to the ring even stronger!

In the opening match Makoto Oishi told the other wrestlers his newborn daughter is watching him wrestle for the first time on DDT UNIVERSE. He wanted to show off some cool moves for her. He struggled at first when his opponents all brushed off his attacks but Oishi eventually got to hit a Moonsault and win with the Miracle Ecstasy.

An exposed turnbuckle proved to be HARASHIMA’s downfall against Daisuke Sasaki. When Mad Paulie distracted Yukinori Matsui, Sasaki removed the turnbuckle pad from the neutral corner. HARASHIMA was thrown into the exposed corner several times but he was able to recover and keep fighting. But the end for him came when HARASHIMA missed the Somato and hit the corner again. Sasaki rolled him up in a School Boy to win the match and move up in the A Block ranking. HARASHIMA is a double champion but Sasaki is claiming to be the hero of this year’s D-Ou Grand Prix!

Masato Tanaka increases his lead in the B Block with a well earned win over Yukio Sakaguchi. He dodged the God’s Right Knee but the Sliding D was countered into a Cross Armbreaker turned into a Triangle Choke. Tanaka used Elbow Strikes to break out of the choke and hit the Sliding D for the three count. The result eliminates Sakaguchi from winning the B Block. In a post-match interview Tanaka was asked about the variety of opponents he has faced so far. Tanaka said he can handle different types of wrestlers because he has been regularly fighting against foreign opponents. It’s given him a body that can deal with anything.

Over in the A Block two wrestlers in particular have struggled to get out of the starting blocks. Tetsuya Endo is one of them, his poor form continued with an upset loss to Yuki Ueno. The Tetsuya In The Sky and the Handspring Overhead Kick both got two counts. Ueno avoided the Shooting Star Press then held Endo down with a blocked La Magistral Cradle for the surprise pin. Ueno admitted he couldn’t find a reason to enter the Grand Prix this year but beating Endo today made it worthwhile. Even if he has no reason to be here he can still win it!

Chris Brookes is the other wrestler struggling in the A Block. Yuki Iino on the other hand is doing just fine with his second win in a row. Brookes ambushed Iino with a dive out of the ring during the entrances. He placed Iino’s arm through a Chair and Double Stomped it from the ring apron. Brookes also had Iino’s Lariats scouted and used the Octopus Stretch as a counter to them. But the one move he didn’t have an answer for was the Spear. Iino hit it once to turn the tide in his favour and again to win the match. Brookes is now left wondering what it will take for him to reach the final.

Congratulations to Makoto Oishi for becoming a dad! His first child was born on 1st December and today was Oishi’s first match since. The good news was stuck in Oishi’s mind all match because whenever he was in the ring with an opponent, he would rub their face and cuddle them like they were a baby. His opponents ended up enjoying it and would ask to get tagged in. Keigo Nakamura got the tag but at that point Oishi remembered they were in a wrestling match. He gave Nakamura the Miracle Ecstasy for the three count.

Three of the seven shows in the D-Ou Grand Prix group stage are now completed. But the headline match was all about the hometown hero Hiroshi Yamato. Everyone in the match did the X pose with their arms to mimic Yamato’s Sliding X move. Minoru Tanaka did the move into Shunma Katsumata’s crotch in the corner. Jiro Kuroshio did an X shaped Double Axe Handle to Yamato. HARASHIMA came in on a hot tag until Konosuke Takeshita stopped him with a Blue Thunder Bomb. The match came down to Yamato and Katsumata. Yamato hit the Sliding X, a Spider German Suplex, a German Suplex and a Lariat. After all of that Yamato was able to pin Katsumata with a Northern Lights Bomb at the end. Yamato talked about his 10th Anniversary show from two years ago. He couldn’t wrestle on it because he was injured at the time. Today he was able to wrestle in his hometown thanks to the local fanbase and also the DDT wrestlers that he considers his seniors. He would like to continue exciting the different regions DDT holds shows in.

In the Grand Prix, Yukio Sakaguchi’s match today was even quicker than yesterday’s. However this time he came out on the loser’s end. Daisuke Sasaki played dirty by hiding behind the referee, having Mad Paulie grab Sakaguchi’s foot and kicking Sakaguchi below the belt to roll him up for the three count. Sakaguchi cursed the result because Sasaki beat him the same way back in the King Of DDT tournament earlier this year.

The undefeated Masato Tanaka is now speeding ahead of everyone else in the B Block. His victory over Bull James means he is currently two wins ahead of his closest rivals. Tanaka couldn’t match the strength of James so he tried to attack him with chairs around ringside. James withstood the attack and brought him back into the ring, taking control when Tanaka could not Body Slam him. James kicked out of the Super Fly but missed a Hip Drop. That left him vulnerable for the Sliding D, handing Tanaka the win. James felt it was an an honour to wrestle Tanaka. He said Tanaka fought for the ECW World Heavyweight Title 20 years ago and he still has that same strength 20 years later.

Yuki Iino gets his first win in a big way, hitting two Spears to put Tetsuya Endo away. Does this mean Iino has become stronger? If you ask Endo he would say no. Instead Endo believes it is he who is getting weaker. Iino’s next group match is against Chris Brookes. He does not want to fight him for 30 minutes like Endo did.

Brookes received a 30kg bag of rice for winning the Battle Royal.

Day 2 of the D-Ou Grand Prix ended with the two outside names leading both groups. Masato Tanaka topped B Block by beating Daisuke Sasaki in the main event. The two both used chairs early in the match but the dirty wrestling went away. Sasaki countered the Sliding D into a Crucifix Pin then turned it into the Cross Facelock. Tanaka cradled Sasaki for a nearfall but it also allowed him to escape the submission. Tanaka wore down Sasaki with Elbow Stikes until he put him away with the Sliding D. Tanaka said he doesn’t talk much on the microphone in ZERO1 these days but he gets to do it in DDT today. Maybe the DDT fans are disappointed with today’s result but Tanaka still wants to give everyone an exciting tournament and go all the way to the final.

Keisuke Ishii made up for yesterday’s disappointing result in a big way by beating Konosuke Takeshita! The match was decided with a duel between Lariats and Kneel Kicks. The finish saw Takeshita hit the Lariat only for Ishii to pop back up and hit the Kneel Kick for the pin. This was the first time Ishii beat Takeshita since the latter was a rookie. However Ishii understands that the win on its own means little. He is happy that the pillar of Ganbare☆Wrestling beat the ace of DDT but the win means nothing if he doesn’t do well for the rest of the Grand Prix. Ishii now has his sights set on Chihiro Hashimoto!

After today there are now two time limit draws in D-Ou history and Tetsuya Endo has been part of both of them. Endo and Chris Brookes spent a lot of time trying to give each other wet willies. It went as far as Brookes sticking his finger in Yukinori Matsui’s mouth to wet willy his way out of Endo’s Yurikamome Hold. The moves got bigger as the minutes counted down. Endo hit Tetsuya In The Sky and a Canadian Destroyer. Brookes hit an Avalanche Double Arm Suplex and a Diving Senton. A double countout almost happened in the final minutes but both men got back in at 19. Brookes caught Endo in an Ankle Hold but the bell rang when 30 minutes passed. Endo believes his D-Ou is already over. His goal was to win every match so he treats a draw the same as a loss. Also he thinks his left foot is already weakened to the point of uselessness. Brookes however is feeling more proud over the result. It’s not embarrassing to fight Endo to a 30 minutes draw. He is always going to be fighting at 100%. He is also motivated by some disparaging comments Sasaki made about him before the Grand Prix.

Hashimoto leads the A Block on her own after a win over Yuki Ueno. The Albright German Suplex was countered into a Rolling Cradle the first time but Hashimoto kicked out and hit the move properly the second time. With two wins in two matches Hashimoto wants to go on undefeated, win the Grand Prix and become the face of DDT! Ueno describes Hashimoto’s strength as identical to Yuki Iino’s. He accepts defeat today but thinks he will become better tomorrow.

Soma Takao used the referee as a shield against Bull James then spat Red Mist to blind his opponent. The distraction worked and Takao pinned James with a Crucifix Pin. Takao wants to know why a super heavyweight is in the tournament. James swore revenge on DAMNATION and he will get it when he faces Sasaki.

Yukio Sakaguchi and Naomi Yoshimura both wasted no time in trying to get their first win. Yoshimura attacked Sakaguchi before the bell. But Sakaguchi kicked his way into recovery and won with a Sleeper Hold and the God’s Right Knee. Even though it was short, Sakaguchi thanked Yoshimura for giving him a good fight. The pre-match attack made Sakaguchi remember what he has been missing lately.

In one of the non-tournament matches, Iino turned the HIRATA GO! dance into a group Haka involving everyone in the match.

Every entrant in the Battle Royal took the time to tell Makoto Oishi how much it would mean to them to win the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title. In the end Antonio Honda won the Battle Royal, last eliminating Oishi to become the champion. Oishi shook his hand afterwards but it was a trap to School Boy him and take his title back.

The 3rd D-Ou Grand Prix begins with the reigning KO-D Openweight Champion winning in the main event. HARASHIMA’s opening day opponent was Yukio Sakaguchi. HARASHIMA blocked the God’s Right Knee with the Somato but a follow up Somato was dodged. Sakaguchi caught HARASHIMA in the Sleeper Hold and alomst choked him out. But HARASHIMA lifted Sakaguchi up in a piggyback and dropped him onto his head to break free. HARASHIMA then hit the Somato for the victory. He said this match and the Masato Tanaka match are especially important for him. He cleared one of them today so he is confident he has the momentum to win the Grand Prix!

Speaking of Tanaka, he expected Soma Takao to put up a tough fight because he is a KO-D Tag Team Champion. There were times when Tanaka provoked Takao to put more strength behind his Elbow Strikes. Takao did get one up on his opponent by dodging the Sliding D then rolling him around in the Official Endless Waltz. But Tanaka kicked out and prevented Takao from hitting either the Gin And Tonic or the Reverse Gory Special Bomb. Tanaka countered the Gin And Tonic into a Sunset Flip then popped Takao with the Sliding D to win the match. Tanaka’s next match is against Daisuke Sasaki tomorrow. He heard Sasaki has charisma but does it compare to the charisma of Jun Kasai or Atsushi Onita? Tanaka will find out tomorrow.

Chris Brookes doesn’t get along with the Sendai Girls. So it was fitting that his first match of the tournament was against the promotion’s champion Chihiro Hashimoto. Brookes lit up Hashimoto’s chest with Chops and and locked in the Octopus Stretch but it was the difference in strength that decided the match. Hashimoto got out of the Octopus by using a Back Flip, hit a Lariat then pinned Brookes with the Albright German Suplex. Hashimoto greeted the DDT fans and said it’s been a long time since she previously wrestled here. It doesn’t matter if she is against a man or a woman, she will be the one standing tall at the end! Brookes didn’t want to admit it but he warned the rest of the A Block to be careful against Hashimoto.

The two ALL OUT members entering the Grand Prix faced off in their first match. Yuki Iino is fresh off of challenging for the KO-D Title. Unfortunately his run begins with a loss to the previous KO-D Champion Konosuke Takeshita. For this match Takeshita used a Michinoku Driver II to pin Iino. He says it is not supposed to be a secret finishing move, it was just the last thing he could think of when the German Suplex didn’t work. When Takeshita uses the move he wants it to be called the Nishinari Driver. Iino believes his power comes from the Haka Elbow so he will aim to use the move early in his next match.

Bull James returned to DDT and sent a big message by toppling over the young powerhouse Naomi Yoshimura. Lariats were thrown until James grabbed Yoshimura and threw him over with a T-Bone Suplex. Not even Yoshimura could kick out of the Doink Drop afterwards. James said he will knock down everybody in his block. However he did have good words to say about Yoshimura and told him he is the future of DDT.

The opening bout of the tournament turned out to be a pretty big upset. Yuki Ueno dodged Keisuke Ishii’s Pink Kneel Kick then used a Headscissors to cradle Ishii into a three count pin. Ishii was disappointed to lose as the Independent World Jr. Heavyweight Champion. Ueno said nobody thought he would beat Ishii today. He’ll do it again and beat Hashimoto tomorrow.

In one of the non-tournament matches Keigo Nakamura vanished only to reappear wearing an Ultraman head crest. It gave him the power to fire head rays at his opponents but Kazuki Hirata blocked it with his hand sword. Nakamura got the better of him but missed a Superhero Diving Body Press. Hirata rolled him up for the victory.

Tetsuo Usui is a new trainee for BASARA. Can’t find any details about him yet.

If he hits the Lehmann Shock three times in a row again then nobody can question the result.

4. Saki Akai “Okibariyasu” 7 Match Series – 1st Match: Tsukasa Fujimoto defeated Saki Akai with the Japanese Ocean Cyclone Suplex (9:32).
5. After Ultimate Party 2019 Special Tag Match: Konosuke Takeshita & Jiro Kuroshio defeated Antonio Honda & Miyu Yamashita when Kuroshio pinned Honda with the Moonsault Press (14:07).
6. KO-D Tag Team Titles: Daisuke Sasaki & Soma Takao (c) defeated Masahiro Takanashi & Chris Brookes when Takao pinned Brrokes with the Official Endless Waltz (13:43).

7. KO-D Openweight Title: HARASHIMA (c) defeated Yuki Iino with the Somato (16:51).

HARASHIMA’s first defence for his latest KO-D Openweight Title got off to a good start with a victory over Yuki Iino. The challenger used the Bubba Bomb and the Haka Elbow but couldn’t put HARASHIMA away. He went for the Spear but HARASHIMA blocked it with a Standing Somato. When both got back up they got into a Elbow Smash battle that ended with Iino throwing a Headbutt. However HARASHIMA hit back with a Spin Kick to the face that knocked Iino down. HARASHIMA used a Buzzsaw Kick to set up the match ending Somato. The champion called Iino a great opponent he wants to face again and again. He called Iino a TV star but HARASHIMA also appeared on a TV drama recently so he thinks that cancelled out Iino’s advantage. HARASHIMA won’t have any more title defences for the rest of the year. His next DDT Extreme Title defence will be on 12th January and his next KO-D Title defence is on 26th January. For now HARASHIMA will concentrate on winning the D-Ou Grand Prix.

Today was the most under threat DAMNATION have been towards losing the KO-D Tag Team Titles. As the match progressed problems grew between Daisuke Sasaki and Soma Takao. Thanks to the craftiness of Masahiro Takanashi, he would make Sasaki bump into Takao over and over until Takao had enough and he turned on Sasaki! After smashing Sasaki with an Elbow Strike, Takao left the ring in anger. Sasaki had to fight his opponents mostly on his own but Tetsuya Endo did what he could from ringside to prevent Sasaki from losing. Endo gave a chair to Sasaki which caused Takao to come back and grab it off him. However Takao then hit Takanashi with the chair and all was good again with DAMNATION! The match became 2 Vs 2 again. Sasaki pulled Takanashi out of the ring while Takao blocked the Praying Mantic Bomb from Chris Brookes. From there Takao used the Official Endless Waltz to cradle Brookes into pins until he finally got a three count. Backstage Takao says he has not forgiven Sasaki yet but Sasaki doesn’t care. Today proved that they can win matches even if their friendship is broken. They are one more title defence away from taking their team to the next level. But first they have to worry about the D-Ou GP where they just happen to be in the same block. Brookes told Takanashi not to worry about the loss because CDK are only a new team. They will get another shot at the titles some day.

The team of Antonio Honda & Miyu Yamashita took on a new challenge when they faced Konosuke Takeshita & Jiro Kuroshio. Honda complained that Kuroshio was wearing a nice jacket while he wrestled. Yamashita faked an injury along with Honda after a leapfrog spot but took the match seriously when she faced off with Takeshita. She gave Takeshita a German Suplex but he immediately fired back with a Lariat. Honda stripped Kuroshio of his jacket but struggled to put it on himself. When he wound up his hands for the Bionic Elbow they got entangled by the jacket. That gave Kuroshio the chance to knock him down and pin him with the Moonsault Press. Takeshita told Kuroshio he wants to wrestle him again no matter if it is in DDT, America or even the health center were they hung out at. Kuroshio joked that it will probably be at the health center. They hugged and vowed to reunite in the future.

Saki Akai’s first match in her “Okibariyasu” Series ended in a loss to Tsukasa Fujimoto. But she can be happy to know she put up a good fight. Akai couldn’t hit the Quetzalcoatl and it took Fujimoto two attempts to hit the Japanese Ocean Cyclone Suplex. Fujimoto intentionally used the move because Akai said in an interview that she wanted to wrestle Manami Toyota. When you wrestle Fujimoto, you also wrestle Toyota in spirit. Akai will take what she has learned and use them along with her emotions for the next match. Opponent #2 in her series will be Sakura Hirota and that match will be on 28th December.

The rookie Keigo Nakamura took the microphone before his match and told everyone his dream is to win a championship. He figured out the fastest way to do this is to go for the KO-D Tag Team Titles with Shinya Aoki because of Aoki’s KO power. He asked Aoki if he wanted to do that but Aoki’s answer was “Who are you?” Their match began and Danshoku Dieno got his hands on Nakamura while Aoki fought with Super Sasadango Machine. Sasadango escaped from Aoki’s Sleeper Hold by slipping out of his mask. Dieno then gave Aoki the Lip Lock and the Danshoku Driver to set up something even more expected. Sasadango hit the three Lehmann Shocks and pinned Aoki! Sadadango reappeared later in the show and asked for a singles match with Aoki on 28/12 to figure out if this was a fluke or if he reall does have potential to be a serious pro wrestler.

The dream has come true for Michiaki Nakano. He has finally won the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title! If only for a minute. He didn’t win the Battle Royal despite bribing the other wrestlers thousands and thousands of yen to help him beat up Kazuki Hirata. However Hirata beat the odds and eliminated every one of his opponents to win the match. Things looked to be peaceful after the match until Nakano gave Hirata the Rainmaker and went for the pin. Hirata kicked out at one. Makoto Oishi then hit Hirata with the title belt and Nakano jumped onto Hirata before Oishi could for the title change. Nakano celebrated until Oishi rolled him up for the three count and ran off with the belt.

Now that Nobuhiro Shimatani has gone freelance, somebody has to carry around the DAMNATION signboard. Endo ended up doing it today. Somehow the sign is now upside down. It’s not all bad. He and Mad Paulie won the 4 Way Tag.

Kazusada Higuchi will return to the ring on 28th December. He has been out of action since September.

Hirata’s 10th Anniversary show will take place on 14th March, 2020.

The Union MAX Champion and his next challenger are teaming up for a match. But why? It’s all Isami Kodaka’s idea and is based on his history with Masahiro Takanashi. When Kodaka was the KO-D Openweight Champion in 2016, Takanashi was one of his challengers. The two teamed together before their title match. Kodaka remembers how tense it was as a champion to team with his challenger. He wants Takanashi to experience the same feeling. He has brought in what he thinks is the best team they should fight, the Speed Of Sounds!

Over in Big Japan this year’s Saikyo Tag League has been going on. Fuminori Abe entered the tournament with Takuya Nomura. The two regularly team together in BJW as Astronauts. Sadly the team only scored 6 points in their group and could not qualify for the semi-finals. So while the final rounds of the tournament is happening in Korakuen Hall, Abe and Nomura will instead be at BASARA wrestling each other.

Yuki Iino has been bench pressing 200kg as part of his training for the main event. He thought the public contract signing was a public workout so HARASHIMA was there to see his lift. The downside for this kind of training is Iino risks re-injuring his elbow before the show. He swears it is in perfect condition.

Michiaki Nakano from Souken Holdings had a sparring session with Keigo Nakamura but he got beaten pretty easily. At least the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title is now part of the Battle Royal he is entering.

Saki Akai has said the reason she is doing a 7 match series is to show her guest opponents how interesting wrestling in DDT can be. Tsukasa Fujimoto is no stranger to DDT so she is going into the match wanting to see if Akai is more than just a gorgeous looking pro wrestler. She is curious to see how Akai wrestles against her because Akai has spent almost her entire wrestling career in a company for male wrestlers.

Kazuki Hirata isn’t leaving Ganbare☆Wrestling just yet. He has unfinished business with Keisuke Ishii. A decade ago the generation that Hirata and Ishii belong to had their own rookies tournament called the Young Drama Cup. It only lasted two years. Ishii won the first one in 2009 and reached the final of the second one in 2010. Hirata entered the 2010 tournament but finished last with only a single victory. A lot has changed since then but the history of that tournament now surrounds the Independent World Jr. Heavyweight Title match.
