Yesterday Shinjiro Otani confirmed he will regularly participate in Ganbare☆Pro events beginning on 27th June. Otani’s priority is still with ZERO1 but when his schedule allows it, he will wrestle in Ganpro too. At first Otani didn’t understand why his Hot Japan tag team partner Yumehito Imanari asked him to come help Ganpro. He couldn’t figure out why Ganpro needed him. But when he had a match with Shu Sakurai last week he finally understood. He thought Ganpro wrestlers were only concerned with entertaining their audience but found out they also have the will to fight. So Ganpro does need Otani and he is happy to help. Once Imanari got permission from CyberFight to increase Ganpro’s budget for Otani’s pay the deal was made. Hot Japan are currently the NWA Intercontinental Tag Team Champions and they’re looking to defend it on a Ganpro show.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “STAND PROUD”, 26/06/2021
Tokyo Ryogoku KFC Hall

1. Princess Of Princess Title: Miyu Yamashita (c) Vs Sakisama

This is what I was warning about on Wednesday. Sakisama chokes out Miyu Yamashita and gets her first ever shot at the Princess Of Princess Title. Championships are small change for a lady like Sakisama which is why she has never wanted the Princess Title. She already has so many accomplishments to her name that a prize like that does not interest her. What’s motivating her here is the chance to humiliate Yamashita more than she ever has done before. The champion has never beaten Sakisama in singles matches or directly in tag matches. Sakisama’s been a thorn in Yamashita’s side going back to 2015 (I’m retconning a name for kayfabe reasons to reach back that far but don’t worry about it).

Yuki Arai will be on the show.

6. International Princess Title: Hikari Noa (c) Vs Marika Kobashi
7. Princess Tag Team Titles: Sakisama & Mei Saint-Michel (c) Vs Miyu Yamashita & Maki Itoh

Tomorrow is Miyu Yamashita’s chance to become the first Double Princess Champion in TJPW history. She was briefly a double champion in 2019 when she held the Princess Of Princess Title and SHINE Title at the same time. But Sakisama has been one of her impossible mountains to climb for almost her entire career. It was only recently she made some progress on that thanks to teaming with Maki Itoh this year. Targeting Mei Saint-Michel may be the right plan to win. If the champions win though and it’s Sakisama standing on top, everything is in place for her to do something she has never done before. Maybe Yamashita won’t be the first Double Princess Champion after all…

This week Yusuke Okada and Hisaya Imabayashi went to visit Kiyoshi Hayashishita’s steak restaurant for a meal. They noticed something was odd when they were only given sausages no matter what they ordered. Okada confronted the chef only to find out it was Danshoku Dieno in disguise! Okada then discovered that his friend Hayashishita was trapped in the restroom with a big, thick sausage in his mouth. Okada freed him and they chased Dieno out of the restaurant. The final straw came when they found Dieno changed the restaurant sign, renaming the restaurant into something vulgar. Hayashishita said he is usually a forgiving man but he will not stand for this! He gave Okada an inspiring speech and encouraged him to beat Dieno at Korakuen Hall. Okada vowed to win for Big Daddy!

4. DAMNATION Vs The Iyasareru!: Soma Takao & Mad Paulie defeated Chris Brookes & Antonio Honda when Paulie pinned Honda with the Reverse Splash (12:44).
5. HARASHIMA & Kenshin Chikano defeated Yukio Sakaguchi & Yukio Naya when HARASHIMA pinned Naya with the Somato (13:30).
6. Hiroshima Specialty! Special 6-Man Tag Match Without Justice: Daisuke Sasaki, Yuji Hino & Hiroshi Yamato defeated Jun Akiyama, Makoto Oishi & Yusuke Okada when Sasaki submitte Okada with the Crossface Lock (18:39).

A supposed King Of DDT preview between Jun Akiyama and Daisuke Sasaki happened with them hardly laying a finger on each other. Sasaki tagged himself out of the match when Akiyama was ready to fight him. The only physical contact to happen came from breaking pins or submission holds. Instead Akiyama spent more time fighting Yuji Hino while Sasaki tangled with Makoto Oishi & Yusuke Okada. Sasaki made Okada give up in the end then had a staredown with Akiyama. When Akiyama left the ring, Sasaki said he is now confident he can beat him in the tournament. Hiroshi Yamato then got to sing his song to close out the show.

The Iyasareru came out for their match pretending to be DAMNATION to confuse their opponents. Chris Brookes held a sign with IyasareNATION written on it and Honda had his face painted to look like Mad Paulie. The plan did not work and DAMNATION won the match instead.

Kazusada Higuchi wants Tetsuya Endo to know that he will be in the ring at Korakuen Hall waiting for him to have their 2nd Round match. He owes Endo a debt because Endo’s injury means both of them are currently in a situation where there is no victory or defeat between them. Higuchi wants to settle this debt in the ring whether Endo will still be injured or not.

7. King Of DDT 2021 – Round 1G: Kazusada Higuchi Vs Naomi Yoshimura
8. King Of DDT 2021 – Round 1H: Tetsuya Endo Vs Chris Brookes

The King Of DDT begins tomorrow and a KO-D Openweight Title shot at “WRESTLE PETER PAN 2021” is up for grabs. The major DDT singles champions are all entering the tournament. Jun Akiyama has said if he wins then he will nominated Sanshiro Takagi as the No. 1 Contender. Konosuke Takeshita won’t let him do that because it is his intention to eventually win the KO-D Title back from Akiyama. Everyone is gunning after Akiyama though. Last year’s winner Tetsuya Endo wants to make a big turnaround for the second half of 2021 and recapture all of his glory from last year. He needs to get past Chris Brookes first and their singles matches in the past have all been too close to call. Shunma Katsumata also has a recent pinfall over the champion which is why Akiyama nominated him to be his 1st Round opponent.

The rest of the field have their stories to tell too. Makoto Oishi has a lot of confidence because his Fujiyama Knee Lock made Yukio Sakaguchi submit. HARASHIMA wants a rematch with Akiyama. Yuji Hino is interested in finding out how strong Sakaguchi can be when he gets angry. Soma Takao is interested in the cash prize. MAO is falling behind the rest of The 37KAMIINA so he does not want to become the weakest member of the group. Akito wants to advance past the semi-final stage he reached last year. Daisuke Sasaki is the only one without any motivation. He saw Yuki Ueno pin Kaito Kiyomiya and doesn’t like his own chances of doing any better. Ueno feels he cannot lose while he holds the DDT UNIVERSAL Title. There is a race to the top forming between DNA alumni Naomi Yoshimura and Kazusada Higuchi.

At the last Ganbare☆Joshi show, Yuu Yamagata defeated both HARUKAZE and Yuna Manase then swore never to come back. After months of trying to make contact, Manase disguised herself as an UberEats driver to find Yamagata’s home and confront her to get a rematch at the next Ganjo show. Yamagata didn’t want to create noise in front of her neighbours so she met with Manase at the parking lot to discuss it. She eventually agreed to come back for another match. She will team with Moeka Haruhi to face both Manase & HARUKAZE in a tag bout.

A bunch of outside help is filling up the card. 2AW, MAKAI, Gatoh Move and Miyako Matsumoto all have their own ideas for what should be on a joshi wrestling card.

It turns out that Yusuke Okada and Kiyoshi Hayashishita are friends in real life and Okada promised a “Big Name X” for Hayashishita to see him wrestle in person. That big name is Danshoku Dieno. This is Okada’s idea because fighting Dieno means he can now truly call himself a DDT wrestler. When the three of them met for the contract signing, Dieno gave Hayashishita the Lip Lock and made him faint. Okada swore revenge and promised Hayashishita will be there to see it!

After achieving his goal of getting to wrestle again, Yoshiaki Yatsu has been invited by Takagi to compete in DDT more often if the timing and conditions allow it. Yatsu accepts the offer but wants to do more than a Battle Royal. Takagi came up with the idea to give Yatsu a shot at the KO-D 8-Man Tag Team Titles. DDT will provide Yatsu his three partners. DDT agreed to his request and plan to move the match over to the main wrestling ring. There will still be two rings set up on the day with something planned for the second ring. The guidelines suggest there is low risk of Covid-19 infection from touching surfaces and objects. Spectators are still required to wear masks, stay clean, take their temperatures and have contact information on hand if positive cases do happen.

Takeshita wants to win the match by a large margin while Ueno wants to prove DDT’s style of wrestling is strong because it is fun. Takeshita is treating the match like it is the main event.

The DDT Vs Kongo 12-Man Tag looks to be focusing on Yukio Sakaguchi and Kenoh. The rest of the DDT squad also take issue with Kenoh’s opinions about their company but Sakaguchi more than any other wants to face off with him. Sanshiro Takagi said the DDT team are all united. Akito threw out a jab by saying Kenoh is the only one out of Kongo that is talking and he’s not convinced that Kenoh wants to be in the match.

Yuki Arai admits to being nervous going into her second pro wrestling match. This will be the first one in front of fans. Maki Itoh is calling her team Saitama Itoh Respect Army 2021. Her partners Yuki Kamifuku & Marika Kobashi have been secretly working for her for the last six months. They seem to be okay with it because it is keeping them employed during the pandemic. Either that or they’ve been brainwashed.

A steak restaurant is sponsoring a match between Yusuke Okada and a mystery opponent. Why is this such a big deal? Well the restaurant belongs to “Big Daddy” Kiyoshi Hayashishita and he will be at ringside to watch the match. If that name sounds familiar it’s because Kiyoshi is the father of Utami Hayashishita from Stardom. To say she comes from a big family is the understatement of the century.

3. Soma Takao & Azul Dragon defeated Kazusada Higuchi & Yuki Iino when Takao pinned Iino with the Official Endless Waltz (9:55).
4. DAMNATION Vs The 37KAMIINA: Daisuke Sasaki, Tetsuya Endo & Yuji Hino defeated Konosuke Takeshita, Shunma Katsumata & MAO when Hino pinned MAO with the Fucking BOMB (12:54).
5. Tenjin Specialty! Oyakoko Special 6-Man Tag Match: HARASHIMA, Naomi Yoshimura & Kazuki Hirata defeated Jun Akiyama, Makoto Oishi & Yusuke Okada when HARASHIMA submitted Okada with a Front Neck Lock (19:55).
6. DDT UNIVERSAL Title: Yuki Ueno (c) defeated Akito with the WR (28:09).
*V6 for Yuki Ueno.

Yuki Ueno went into the evening half of the doubleheader in less than 100% condition. In the early show, Akito heavily targeted Ueno’s knees knowing it would still effect him when it was time to have the DDT UNIVERSAL Title match. However Ueno made an effort not to show pain, appearing in the ring without any tape covering his knees much to Akito’s surprise. It didn’t change Akito’s gameplan though and he continued to focus attacking Ueno’s knees. Ueno was still able to hit his Standing Shining Wizard and even the BME but the damage done left him slow to pin Akito afterwards. Akito’s chance for the Goliath Birdeater was shaken off with another Shining Wizard followed by a Dropkick right to the face. Ueno then did the WR and it was enough for him to win the match.

Before today, Ueno wasn’t sure if he was able to get through this match with Akito. He had fun fighting him and is welcome to doing it as many times as he can, as long as he is the defending champion of course. Ueno invited the rest of The 37KAMIINA into the ring. He was joined by the full unit and also Toui Kojima who tried to fit in before being sent off by the others. Ueno told the fans his goal is to have another title match in Hakata by the end of the year.

It seemed that Jun Akiyama was in a good enough mood to tolerate Kazuki Hirata’s antics. He encouraged Hirata to dance to his music before the match and offered him a handshake afterwards. Akiyama then Headbutted Hirata and the match began from there with Akiyama against HARASHIMA. Speaking of HARASHIMA, he had a message for Akiyama. He had Yusuke Okada beaten with the Somato but instead of going for the pin, he used Akiyama’s signature Front Neck Lock to make Okada submit instead. HARASHIMA then promised to beat Akiyama at “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL 2021” for all of the DDT fans.

Match #2 immediately went off the rails when Danshoku Dieno got his hands on Toui Kojima in an inappropriate way, causing the no contest. Hisaya Imabayashi demanded a restart because he knew how much Sanshiro Takagi wanted to wrestle in Fukuoka again after a long time away. It was still ridiculous but Takagi got to do lucha spots with Toru Owashi so he was happy with the effort.

There were two Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title changes after the opening match. Antonio Honda tripped and hurt his knee while celebrating his team’s win. He used Gongitsune to poke everyone in the eye, including Chris Brookes. Honda then pinned Brookes with a School Boy to take the Iron Man Title away from him. When Brookes argued with him, Saki Akai caught Honda with a Big Boot and then pinned him with a School Boy of her own to become the new champion.

Ultimate Tag League 2021 Standings

1. Jun Akiyama & Makoto Oishi (4)
-. Kazusada Higuchi & Yukio Sakaguchi (4)
3. Daisuke Sasaki & Yuji Hino (3)
-. Konosuke Takeshita & Shunma Katsumata (3)
5. Chris Brookes & Antonio Honda (2)

It’s still all to play for after Day 4 of the Ultimate Tag League. One team who had it in the bag are letting it slip while the team that looked to be out of it caught a second wind. While Kazusada Higuchi and Jun Akiyama took care of each other, Yukio Sakaguchi tried to hunt down Makoto Oishi. It got real bad for Oishi when Sakaguchi literally knocked his front teeth out (Oishi’s front teeth are all replacements)! But in a surprise, Oishi had his opponent scouted and countered his submission holds into the Fujiyama Knee Lock for the upset victory. Akiyama praised the Junrestu leader after the match. All of his front teeth are gone but he is still handsome enough to finish 4th in a Best Body Japan competition! Meanwhile Eruption are at risk of finishing outside of the top spot. They now need to beat DAMNATION on the last day for a chance to win the league.

It’s a sad end for The Iyasareru. After a great start, Chris Brookes & Antonio Honda quickly cooled off and lost the rest of their matches. Their schedule ended with a defeat to The 37KAMIINA. They had their opponents trapped in stereo Octopus Stretches but Konosuke Takeshita broke free from Brookes and Dropkicked Honda. Shunma Katsumata then used his leverage to roll over and apply a deep pin to Honda for the three count. The 37KAMIINA know they are in a difficult position to win the league on the final day. All they can do is figure out the right timing to use the MADMAX double team move so they can beat Junretsu.

Naomi Yoshimura beats Yuki Iino to prove he deserves to be in this year’s King Of DDT. Yoshimura said he will work his way to the top of the DNA generation. He also promised to win the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles next week.

Toui Kojima treated Match #4 as an audition to join The 37KAMIINA. He probably failed when a double team move backfired and Kojima hit Yuki Ueno by accident. That mistake gave Yusuke Okada the opening to win the match. Ueno tried to keep his attention on Akito but admits he couldn’t grasp his next challenger’s rhythm at all today. He also had his back taped up which irked Akito a bit. Akito said he was disappointed in Ueno’s performance today and a champion shouldn’t be showing off his bad condition like that. Akito doesn’t think he fought a champion today.

DAMNATION got by with some cheating to beat DISASTER BOX. When Tetsuya Endo had Yukio Naya in position for the Torture Rack Bomb, Kazuki Hirata ran in wanting to break the count. However Soma Takao stopped him in his tracks with a Low Blow, allowing Endo to hit his move on Naya for the finish. Takao added salt to the wounds backstage when he called Hirata a weak challenger for the 6-Man Tag Titles and he should be replaced. Soma thinks Hirata would be so weak of a champion he would make Yuki Ueno’s DDT UNIVERSAL Title run look better by comparison!

Ultimate Tag League 2021 Standings

1. Chris Brookes & Antonio Honda (2)
2. Konosuke Takeshita & Shunma Katsumata (1)
-. Daisuke Sasaki & Yuji Hino (1)
4. Kazusada Higuchi & Yukio Sakaguchi (0)
-. Jun Akiyama & Makoto Oishi (0)

The Ultimate Tag League begins with an upset win and a time limit draw. In the main event The 37 KAMIINA went thirty minutes against DAMNATION without a winner coming out of it. The 37 KAMIINA got to hit MADMAX on Yuji Hino but Daisuke Sasaki pulled the referee out of the ring to prevent the count. Sasaki then brought in a chair to duel with Shunma Katsumata without the ref around to stop them. Sasaki turned his attention to Konosuke Takeshita, giving him a Canadian Destroyer. But his La Mistica attempt was blocked and The 37 KAMIINA gave him an Inverted MADMAX. With minutes remaining, Hino fought off his opponents until the time expired. Both teams start the league with one point each.

The big upset came when Chris Brookes & Antonio Honda defeated Junretsu in their opening league bout. Honda looked like he wanted to start the match off with Jun Akiyama but told Brookes to get out there instead. When it was time for Honda to shine, he tripped over Makoto Oishi and hurt his knee. Honda begged Junretsu to let him tell his Gongitsune joke because his father always looks forward to it. Akiyama knew it was a trick and he blocked Honda’s cheap shot. Oishi trapped Honda in the Fujiyama Knee Lock but Honda Cradled him into a pinfall to get the three count. Backstage Brookes & Honda revealed they have a new team name to replace The European Connection. From now on they are The Iyasareru. Their win today was no accident but a miracle formed by fate.

The return of Naomi Yoshimura threw him right in the action with his former tag partner Yuki Ueno. The ring rust and Ueno’s progression during Yoshimura’s absence was his downfall today. Ueno pinned him with the Best Moonsault Ever while at the same time MAO wiped out HARASHIMA with a Quebrada out of the ring. Ueno welcomed Yoshimura back after a half year absence. He said they’ll have fun wrestling each other again. Yoshimura promised to work hard so he can reach the position Ueno is in. He also wants to help DISASTER BOX any way he can, like by winning the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles.

A sprint between Yukio Sakaguchi and Yusuke Okada guaranteed a quick finish and Sakaguchi got it by knocking Okada out in five minutes. Okada climbing the turnbuckles left him vulnerable for the God’s Right Knee. More big kicks and knee strikes found their mark and the match had to be stopped after Okada was felled with a Right High Kick. Backstage Okada swore revenge and wants Sakaguchi to know that this isn’t over! Sakaguchi welcomes the threat. He crush Okada as many times as he wants until he is satisfied.

DAMNATION did get a win in non-tournament action, beating the other members of Eruption along with Yuki Iino. The teamwork of Kazusada Higuchi & Saki Akai on Tetsuya Endo set Iino up for the Haka Elbow. But Mad Paulie ruined those plans and with Soma Takao’s help got rid of Eruption. Iino was placed on the canvas with the Back Flip allowing Endo to pin him with the Shooting Star Press.

An empty arena gave the wrestlers in Match #2 an idea. They agreed to have a Reverse Battle Royal match where throwing the opponents over the top rope and INTO the ring was the goal. The wrestlers were warned by the Korakuen Hall staff to stay away from the orange seat sections of the venue so those areas were also disqualification zones. Wrestlers fought on the bleachers, Kazuki Hirata danced, Sanshiro Takagi & Yukio Naya built a castle of chairs, Akito stopped himself from throwing people into the orange seats because the staff would get mad with him. Takagi brought out the Dramatic Dream bike but Hirata stole it and crashed into the chairs. Takagi attempted the Old School rope walk across the barrier but Toru Owashi knocked him into the orange chairs. The staff got so angry at Takagi he took himself out of the match. Danshoku Dieno used a Power Bomb to lift Keigo Nakamura up to Super Sasadango Machine on the ring apron. Sasadango then Suplexed Nakamura over the ropes and into the ring to win the match.

After the match Sasadango complained about himself and Dieno not being booked for “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL 2021” yet. They want a match against NOAH wrestlers and Sasadango doesn’t care who it is as long as it shows the different ideologies between DDT and NOAH. Dieno copped on and tried to stop Sasadango, realizing who he was going to challenge. Sasadango went ahead and said he wants Takashi Sugiura! Sasadango and an unwilling Dieno are going to fight Sugiura-gun! Sasadango tried to convince Dieno it’s a good idea because the match might get them on the cover of Shukan Puroresu.

In the opening match between the rookies, Hideki Okatani defeated Toui Kojima. The less experience Kojima hit a Full Nelson Buster but missed a Diving Body Press. He defended himself from the Northern Lights Suplex the first time but Okatani wore him down until he got to hit the move for the win.

The King Of DDT 2021 begins on 16th June. The 16 entries are Akito, Jun Akiyama, Yuki Ueno, Tetsuya Endo, Makoto Oishi, Shunma Katsumata, Chris Brookes, Yukio Sakaguchi, Daisuke Sasaki, Soma Takao, Konosuke Takeshita, HARASHIMA, Kazusada Higuchi, Yuji Hino, MAO and Naomi Yoshimura.

Daisuke Sasaki, Tetsuya Endo & Soma Takao Vs Chris Brookes, Shunma Katsumata & MAO has been added to “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL 2021”.

New additions to the “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL 2021” Battle Royal include Makoto Oishi, Saki Akai, Antonio Honda, Yusuke Okada, Toru Owashi, Kazuki Hirata, Yuya Koroku, Yuji Hino, Shu Sakurai and Yuna Manase. The NOAH entries will be announced at a later date.

6. Jun Akiyama, Makoto Oishi & Yusuke Okada defeated HARASHIMA, Toru Owashi & Kazuki Hirata when Oishi pinned Hirata with the Blue Dahlia (11:42).
7. DDT UNIVERSAL Title: Yuki Ueno (c) defeated Soma Takao with the WR (25:39).
*V5 for Yuki Ueno.

The empty Korakuen Hall doubleheader concluded with DDT’s evening show. For weeks Soma Takao has been a mixed book by provoking Yuki Ueno while acting like he has no real interest in winning the DDT UNIVERSAL Title. Apparently under the motivation to expose Ueno as a weak champion, Takao told the rest of DAMNATION at ringside not to interfere in the match. Ueno took control at first but when Takao was on the offensive, he poured over his opponent’s head to provoke him. Ueno got revenge when they fought outside the ring. He grabbed the can, poured what was left over Takao’s head and then Moonsaulted off of the entrance gate. Back in the ring the Gin And Tonic was blocked. Even an attempt to counter the WR into the move wouldn’t work. Takao then went for the Reverse Gory Special Bomb but Ueno slipped out of the move and landed on his feet. In the end, Ueno hit the WR to earn his fifth successful defence.

After the match Ueno said he did his best because of the fans watching at home. He even had fun wrestling against Takao and thanked him for the drink. Hisaya Imabayashi asked Ueno who he wanted to defend against next. He chose Akito. It was Akito who chose him to be the assistant manager of DDT Foods. However Akito’s promise to support Ueno in that role rang hollow because he never helped out. They’ve been close workmates for years so it’s time for them to get even closer with the UNIVERSAL Title on the line. Akito was grateful to be nominated but doesn’t think he can compete with Ueno’s generation. Ueno was about to withdraw the challenge when Akito interrupted him. Akito said he couldn’t compete with Ueno but that doesn’t mean he cannot beat him! He accepts the challenge and the title match will take place in Hakata on 29th May.

Kazuki Hirata had a big target in his sights. “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL 2021” is coming up and Hirata was going to take out a certain figure important to that show. Did he mean Jun Akiyama? No, he meant Makoto Oishi so he won’t be in Akiyama’s corner for the KO-D Openweight Title match. His threats were ignored so Akiyama and HARASHIMA could start the match. When Hirata did get to fight with Oishi, he immediately tapped out to an Achilles Tendon Hold. Toru Owashi had to distract the referee so the match could continue. Yusuke Okada attacked Hirata’s leg and Akiyama then applied a Sharpshooter for another tap out. Owashi again had to grab the ref’s attention so he wouldn’t see Hirata giving up. The match did end when Oishi pinned Hirata with the Blue Dahlia, a Crucifix Driver style move. Akiyama and HARASHIMA had a stare down afterwards. Backstage Akiyama said he doesn’t want his title match with HARASHIMA to be upstaged by Keiji Muto Vs Naomichi Marufuji.

In the double title match, Chris Brookes came out on top against Saki Akai. Brookes was accompanied to the ring by Masahiro Takanashi while Akai had the rest of Eruption by her side. Akai’s big chance to win was by hitting the Quetzalcoatl. Unfortunately she was low on energy and took too much time to go for the pin, allowing Brookes to kick out. Akai had one more chance by Cradling Brookes out of the Praying Mantis Bomb. Brookes kicked out again, struck her with a knee and hit the Praying Mantis Bomb for the win. The two praised each other after the match and Brookes celebrated holding both the DDT Extreme and Iron Man Heavymetalweight Titles.

Konosuke Takeshita was given a rude welcome back from DAMNATION. Daisuke Sasaki led his team to ambush Eruption & Yuki Iino at first, then turn their focus to The 37KAMIINA. Takeshita and Kazusada Higuchi worked together to get rid of Yuji Hino but Hino wiped them out with a Double Lariat. Tetsuya Endo then hit Higuchi with a Sasuke Special out of the ring. Hino was finally stopped with a Spear from Iino but that left Iino alone against The 37KAMIINA. Takeshita & Shunma Katsumata defeated him with their new double team move the MADMAX. It is a Spike Brainbuster with Takeshita doing the Vertical Drop Brainbuster and Katsumata spiking it down with the Springboard X Factor. After the match Takeshita said he and Katsumata are the dark horses to win the Ultimate Tag League 2021. He also has his tag team with MAO continuing to MAO evolve and a tag team with Ueno ready to take on NOAH.

Speaking of NOAH, there was a surprise appearance by Kenoh after Match #3. He called out Sanshiro Takagi to come down to the ring. When Takagi arrived, Kenoh simply apologised for the recent inconvenience he caused when he caught the Coronavirus. Takagi gave Kenoh the Stunner after he bowed. He said it isn’t like Kenoh to be polite like this. Not when he is writing articles in Shukan Puroresu magazine threatening to not show up at “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL 2021” in June. Takagi is ordering Kenoh and the rest of Kongo to wrestle on the show. Kenoh started blasting insults at Takagi and said NOAH is better than DDT. Marufuji is better, Takashi Sugiura is better and even Muto is the more exciting champion! Suddenly Yukio Sakaguchi entered the ring to confront Kenoh. The two stared each other down while Takagi announced a full scale DDT Vs Kongo match to take place in Saitama Super Arena!

Takagi has just been part of a KO-D 8-Man Tag Team Titles defence with the rest of Team Thoroughbred. They defeated a team of DDT rookies in a match that went all over the place. Nabe Yakan attempted the People’s Elbow on Yuya Koroku but missed. Chikara went for the Sabre Chop but hit Takagi with it instead. Hideki Okatani almost had Takagi beaten in his weakened state. Yukio Naya and Toui Kojima had a back and forth. Takagi brought in the Dramatic Dream bike but Keigo Nakamura knocked him off with a Missile Dropkick. Nakamura then stole the bike and crashed into Takagi with it. Takagi intercepted Nakamura with the Stunner and pinned him with the Sit Down Himawari Bomb.

Akito cut down Mad Paulie to size by targeting his knees. One big Lift put Paulie in his back and when Akito applied the Figure 4 Leg Lock, Paulie gave up.

Poor little Kikutaro wasn’t in the mood for any wrestling. Imabayashi explained to Danshoku Dieno and Antonio Honda what happened to the guy recently. He was detained in Hawaii for two days and isn’t allowed enter America again. It was up to Dieno and Honda to cheer him up. The problem is everything they did reminded Kikutaro of his traumatic experience. Imabayashi tried to make him laugh with impersonations but that led to Dieno attacking him. Kikutaro finally snapped back to normal and fought Dieno off. Honda then made a Gongitsune joke but this time it was about a Cockatiel. This made Kikutaro angry because it reminded him of his pet parakeet back in America. He got rid of Honda and made Dieno submit to the Jail Hold while shouting “Don’t say Hawaii!” for the win.

It was announced that the winners of the Ultimate Tag League will be given a 1,000,000 yen prize from the sponsors BLACKOUT.

6. Shinshu! Chashu! Minanoshu! Nagano Specialty Special 6-Man Tag Match: Jun Akiyama, Makoto Oishi & Yusuke Okada defeated HARASHIMA, Yuki Iino & Keigo Nakamura when Oishi submitted Nakamura with the Fujiyama Knee Lock (18:09).

Despite being on the losing end of the main event, HARASHIMA got to do the Reverse Hurricanrana on Jun Akiyama. The landing reminds Akiyama of the Half Nelson Suplexes Kenta Kobashi used to do. It made him realize these preview matches are being fought like title matches themselves. When Junretsu won in the end, Makoto Oishi joked that the Nagano fans find it hard to believe he that he won in the main event. Akiyama said this is the first time he is wrestling in Nagano for DDT. He came here with the KO-D Openweight Title and he will still have it the next time he returns. Yusuke Okada said he would like to team with Junretsu in Nagano again even though he is not part of the unit. HARASHIMA thanked Yuki Iino & Keigo Nakamura for doing their best but said today’s result was out of his hands.

Soma Takao got under Yuki Ueno’s skin again by pouring a drink over his head during their match. He then did it again after the match was over. Ueno kicked Takao in response, grabbed the can and poured the remainder of the drink over Takao. The two then got into a fight that had to be broken up by the seconds at ringside. Takao claims he was only giving Ueno a drink as a kind gesture to make him stronger.

The Toru Owashi homecoming match was too normal for Hisaya Imabayashi’s tastes so he called it off after three minutes. Normally when they do a special match like this Kazuki Hirata immediately loses and Imabayashi has to restart the match. He thinks the fans love that spot so why aren’t they doing it here? He understands the wrestlers are worried the spot might get old but everyone always wants to see the same things! The match restarted and Antonio Honda quickly gave Hirata a School Boy. Suddenly, Mizuki Watase ran into the ring and broke the count. Imabayashi called off the match again and asked Watase what was wrong. Watase explained that Owashi’s hometown is 63 km away so he cannot be the hometown hero. Watase is closer to being a Nagano local than he is! He called the match a fraud that only exists to sell tickets. He rallied Akito, Hirata & Yukio Naya to his side and the match restarted with new teams. Danshoku Dieno didn’t have enough energy left to charge up Antonio Honda’s Gongitsune so Watase offered to perch himself on the turnbuckles in the Hell Gate position. He stayed there waiting while Honda got pinned by Hirata. When the match was over, Watase apologised to the fans and promised them exciting matches would happen after intermission.

Chris Brookes briefly became a double champion when he trapped Saki Akai in a Modified Octopus Stretch and the ref ended the match when Akai couldn’t respond. Brookes was rewarded with the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title but Akai confronted him after the match. After a scuffle, Akai hit Brookes with a High Kick and pinned him with the Quetzalcoatl to win back the belt. Backstage Akai said she never gave up so she shouldn’t have lost the title in the first place. No matter how many times she loses the belt, she will win it back so she can have her Title Vs Title match with Brookes in Korakuen Hall. Brookes said Akai used up her “1 in 100” chance of beating him today.
