6. Daisuke Sasaki & Tetsuya Endo defeated Konosuke Takeshita & Antonio Honda when Sasaki submitted Honda with La Mistica Cross Facelock (19:23).

Konosuke Takeshita and Tetsuya Endo continued fighting out of the ring after the main event. As they were pulled apart Takeshita yelled at Endo “At Osaka just remember. Fight fair and square.” Daisuke Sasaki taunted Takeshita and dared him to fight Endo. He said next week Endo will stab the final nail in Takeshita’s coffin. Then on the 25th he and Endo will win the KO-D Tag Team Titles for DAMNATION.

Yoshihiro Takayama & Dick Togo were successful in their first time tagging together. However both of them don’t know if they will continue teaming together in the future. Takayama noted how hard HARASHIMA kicks while Togo thought wrestling against Akito was a fresh experience.

After winning their match Danshoku Dino, Joey Ryan & Yoshihiko declared they are the most dangerous trio the city of Hamamatsu have ever seen. They won by giving Makoto Oishi a triple team Danshoku Driver.

One day away from his DDT Extreme Title shot, Keisuke Ishii remembers when he won the belt for the first time. He was booed back then although in that situation he was an outsider wrestling in Union Pro. He thinks this time when he wins it will be different.

Soma Takao sent a message to Kazuki Hirata by pinning him in the opening tag bout. The AJPW Jr. Heavyweight Champion said Hirata isn’t good enough to help him become a stronger champion.

Falls Count Anywhere 4 Way Tag Match: HARASHIMA & Yasu Urano defeated Konosuke Takeshita & Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi, Keisuke Ishii & MAO and Sanshiro Takagi & Kazuki Hirata when HARASHIMA pinned MAO with the Somato (37:31).

The match took place at night near closing time. The wrestlers were only allowed to use weapons if they bought them themselves during the match. Also there was a special President’s Award by Amon Tsurumi somewhere in the shop. The match began with Yasu Urano, Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi, MAO and Kazuki Hirata doing a 4 way lock up behind the cash register. HARASHIMA, Konosuke Takeshita, Keisuke Ishii and Sanshiro Takagi all stood at the checkout line waiting to be tagged in. When Takeshita was tagged in he immediately bought a chair and used it to hit Hirata with. Ishii pulled him onto the counter and gave him a DDT. Meanwhile Urano bought deodorant and sprayed it at Hiroshi. Takagi got a cart and threw Nobuhiro Shimatani onto it even though he wasn’t in the match. He then pushed the cart into the other wrestlers. Ishii got a clerk to bring him a sickle but Tsurumi stopped him from buying it. Takagi then wrapped sticky tape over Ishii’s mouth. Hirata found the President’s Award hanging from the ceiling and got a stepladder to try and reach it. The stepladder was too short so he found a large ladder and grabbed the award. It turned out to be a 10,000 yen bill. Urano threw Takeshita into a piller and he left a large hold in it. The audience chanted “Compensation!” at them afterwards. Takagi Body Slammed Takeshita onto a pile of shopping baskets as punishment. Hirata found his HIRATA GO! glasses and attacked his opponents while his music played over the shop’s sound system. Takagi crashed into him on a bicycle to stop that. The match moved outside to the gardening booth where MAO climbed the roof and Moonsaulted onto everyone below. A table was set up by Hiroshi and he put Takagi on top of it. Takeshita climbed a ladder and splashed Takagi through the table. MAO took out both Takeshita & Hiroshi with the Screw Kick but Urano then poured an entire bag of soil on him. HARASHIMA then hit the Somato on MAO to win the match.

The shop’s president thanked DDT for the performance and also the fans for coming out late at night to see it. However he noticed the hole left in the pillar. Takeshita said it was from when Urano threw him into it and Tsurumi apologised. Urano came up with the solution to give back the President’s Award to pay for repairs. Hirata did so. Takagi also said part of the wrestler’s pay will go towards fixing the pillar. The president still saw the funny side and took a picture with Takeshita & Urano next to the damaged pillar.

5f. FUMA eliminated Ryota Nakatsu with the Heavy Metal Anthem (27:08).

IRON PRIEST stole Cavalry’s stick horses at the last BASARA show and brought them out before the main event to taunt their opponents. However Cavalry got one up on them with a surprise ambush to start the elimination match. IRON PRIEST scored the first elimination when Madoka pulled Koji Iwamoto over the ropes and knocking him off the apron. Jaki Numazawa tried to get rid of Masashi Takeda next but a reversal of fortunes led to Numazawa getting knocked out of the ring. Takeda then eliminated both Yusuke Kubo and himself with a Spear on the apron. Cavalry took the lead when FUMA accidentally hit Madoka with a High Kick, leading to his elimination. But a mistaken clash of partners happened to Cavalry too afterwards. Ryota Nakatsu hit Ryuichi Sekine and FUMA capitalized. That left FUMA and Sekine as the final two and FUMA got the only pinfall of the match to win it for IRON PRIEST. FUMA said IRON PRIEST has been the best unit in BASARA’s eight months of existence. To prove this he wants to hold a tag team tournament called the Iron Fist Tag League. However he said this while still wearing his mask so most of the audience just heard muffled yelling. FUMA also wants “Iron Fist” by Motorhead to be the league’s official theme song. Isami Kodaka suggested it should be a playoff instead of a league because they have no time to do another round robin tournament this year.

Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi brought in a new tag partner from America, Trans-Am ★ Ryuichi. However Atsushi Maruyama was convinced it was really Big Japan wrestler Ryuichi Kawakami pretending to be American. Ryuichi denied the accusation and got the fans to chant “Let’s go Trans-Am!” as he wrestled. Hi69 stopped Hiroshi from doing the Perfect Plex by hitting him with a chair. He and Maruyama then put their opponents in Sleeper Holds until “USA” chants woke them up. Team Trans-Am turned the tables and Hiroshi finally hit the Perfect Plex on Maruyama for the win.

The alliance between Takumi Tsukamoto and SAGAT is getting a little strained. Tsukamoto beat him in a Hardcore Match but offered to shake hands afterwards. SAGAT ignored it and headed directly to the exit.

Tomoya Kawamura had his first match in BASARA a day after his final match in DNA. The Rainbow Kawamura gimmick is now gone, Kawamura has reverted back to his previous self from before the injury. However he still put disinfectant on his hands before the match. Kawamura came close to winning with a Michinoku Driver II and Swanton Bomb but Kodaka fired back with the Zeyyari for the victory. Kodaka said his opponent was unexpectedly strong after watching video of his match from yesterday. He then welcomed Kawamura to BASARA.

The brackets for the 2nd Shinjuku Strongest Ground Budokai were revealed at the beginning of the show. The tournament takes place at Kodaka’s self-produced show on 28th September. The four first round matches are Shiori Asahi Vs Tatsuhiko Yoshino, FUMA Vs Kengo Mashimo, Yasu Urano Vs Daisuke Sekimoto and Isami Kodaka Vs Brahman Kei (w/ Brahman Shu). Manami Toyota and a mystery wrestler were given byes into the second round.

3. Rainbow Kawamura Last DNA Match: Danshoku Dino defeated Rainbow Kawamura with the Raw Danshoku Driver (9:35).
4. Yasu Urano & Hi69 defeated MAO & Rekka when Hi69 submitted Rekka with a Cross Armbreaker (11:09).
5. Road To DNA-GP: Shunma Katsumata defeated Mizuki Watase with the Swan Dive X Factor (11:23).
6. Road To DNA-GP: Kazusada Higuchi & Guanchulo defeated Kota Umeda & Kouki Iwasaki when Guanchulo pinned Umeda with the Seijo Scratch (10:34).

With the DNA Grand Prix around the corner many of the wrestlers on the show were motivated to fight at full strength. Guanchulo got the upset pin over Kota Umeda in the main event when he ducked a Buzzsaw Kick and got Umeda’s shoulders on the mat with the Seijo Scratch. Umeda protested the result and said he kicked out but it stood. Guanchulo thanked Kazusada Higuchi for helping him win and praised his opponents for being strong. He said the DNA Grand Prix is his chance to show what he’s got. He also wants a singles match against Higuchi.

Rainbow Kawamura’s final match for DNA as against Danshoku Dino and it was as pervy as you’d expect. Daisuke Kiso was caught in the middle and took the brunt from both wrestlers. Kawamura sprayed him in the eyes with his disinfectant then Dino made him pass out with the Lip Lock. Kawamura wound up getting stripped out of his wrestling gear and everyone found out he was wearing lingerie underneath. One Lip Lock and Danshoku Driver later brought an end to the match and to Rainbow Kawamura. Dino told Kawamura to stand back up and give his farewell speech. It was interrupted when a crying Dai Suzuki ran in and hugged Kawamura. Suzuki said they walked through their twists and turns together but suddenly that won’t happen anymore. Higuchi appeared and mentioned how surprised he was when Kawamura sent him a LINE message saying he was quitting DNA. Even though Kawamura missed a lot of shows because of an injury, Higuchi still treats him as his senior. He hopes Kawamura will work as hard in BASARA as he did in DNA. Kawamura thanked the staff for letting him wrestle Dino in his last match. From tomorrow, he is now a part of BASARA.

Shunma Katsumata’s goal for the Grand Prix is to go undefeated for the entire tournament.

In the opening match Nobuhiro Shimatani was able to avoid Daisuke Sasaki’s Now Or Never but a Dropkick from Sasaki immediately afterwards was enough to end the match. Shimatani’s next DNA match is against Konosuke Takeshita on 30th September. The main event of that show is Umeda & Katsumata Vs Higuchi & Kouki Iwasaki.

Yoshihiko Reappears, The Emperor Settles In, Higuchi Gets Prepared

From 15th to 18th September DDT and Tokyo Joshi Pro will be providing wrestling matches at the annual Tokyo Game Show in Makuhari Messe, Chiba. Each day will have two sessions taking place containing two or three matches. The Ring☆Dream online game will be collaborating with DDT on the 15/9 event, which will have five matches. The matches might find their way to Youtube but I don’t know if DDT’s channel will have them or another channel will.

2. Soma Takao & Kazusada Higuchi defeated Kazuki Hirata & Guanchulo when Takao pinned Guanchulo with the Gin And Tonic (10:59).
3. Danshoku Dino & Keisuke Ishii defeated Joey Ryan & Kouki Iwasaki when Dino pinned Iwasaki with the Danshoku Driver (9:07).

4. Konosuke Takeshita, Antonio Honda & Mike Bailey defeated Yukio Sakaguchi, Masahiro Takanashi & Kota Umeda when Takeshita submitted Umeda with a Texas Clover Hold (14:02).
5. Niigata Specialty Special Bishamonten Tag Match: Yoshihiro Takayama & Toru Owashi defeated Super Sasadango Machine & Makoto Oishi when Takayama pinned Machine with the Running Knee Lift (12:17).
6. Daisuke Sasaki & Tetsuya Endo defeated HARASHIMA & Yasu Urano when Endo pinned Urano with the Sky Twister Press (19:50).

DAMNATION were given 10kg of rice divided into three bags as a reward for winning the main event. One of the bags were handed over to Yukinori Matsui and he ran off with it. Daisuke Sasaki said beating HARASHIMA’s team was no big deal because he and Tetsuya Endo were always going to win the KO-D Tag Team Titles at Korakuen Hall. They will now spend their time eating all of their rice until the title match on 25th September.

Super Sasadango Machine said he was destined to give Yoshihiro Takayama the Lehmann Shock. Makoto Oishi told him his chances of winning was 100%. However he backed off whenever Takayama was tagged in. Takayama ended up chasing him around ringside yelling. Sasadango eventually hit the Lehmann Shock but Takayama kicked out at one. Takayama then hit a Running Knee Lift for the win. Aftwards Oishi admitted Sasadango had 0% chance of winning.

Today was Mike Bailey’s last match in Japan for September. He will be back in October for the DNA Grand Prix. He gave Konosuke Takeshita and Antonio Honda plenty of praise, calling Takeshita DDT’s #1 and Honda an important person. He himself wants to win the Grand Prix so he can become DDT’s future.

Danshoku Dino and Joey Ryan argued over the status of Niigata City before their tag match. Dino said Niigata was a Gay Town but Ryan thought the city should be a Porn Town instead. Their match now determined what kind of town it will be. Dino’s team won and he triumphantly declared Niigata is now a Gay Town. However he appreciated Ryan’s desire to fight for what he believes in and declared Niigata can also be a Porn Town too.

The entire show was watched and studied by Shuji Ishikawa so he could pick the No. 1 contender for his KO-D Openweight Title. He wanted to pick someone who is worthy of a title shot and sat in a special area at ringside to watch the show. Throughout the evening Daisuke Sasaki kept saying Nobuhiro Shimatani was a diamond in the rough and deserves a shot. So he made impromptu Ishikawa Vs Shimatani matches whenever he could just as an excuse for Ishikawa to beat up the little guy. Ishikawa quickly beat Shimatani both times and Amon Tsurumi had to stop them from doing it again. At the end of the show everybody gathered together to hear who Ishikawa will pick. Sasaki decided the best way to choose is to have everybody kill each other and the last one left is determined the strongest. So a 24-Man Battle Royal took place and Kazusada Higuchi was the winner. Higuchi admitted Ishikawa is the strongest in DDT but that means if Higuchi wins then he becomes the strongest. The title match takes place at Korakuen Hall on 25th September.

After the main event Sasaki told Konosuke Takeshita that his KO-D Title loss at “RYOGOKU PETER PAN 2016” was an end of an era. He challenged him to face Tetsuya Endo in a match there and then but Tsurumi instead booked it for Osaka on 18th September.

It didn’t take long for Yoshihiro Takayama to make an enemy. His first match as a DDT regular ended in a pull apart brawl with Yukio Sakaguchi. Tension between the two began before their tag team match even began when they stared each other down from across the ring. Takayama and Higuchi overpowered their opponents and gave Kota Umeda a Double Choke Slam before the finish.

Danshoku Dino is taking his new role of Wrestling Mentalist to heart by wearing a doctor’s coat. His current attempts to help Keisuke Ishii seem to be working after they won the 3 Way Tag Match. Ishii is in denial that he is sick. He then listed all the times he lost to Dino in singles matches in great detail. He currently has a 4-match losing streak against Dino. However he worked out in order to beat Dino the match has to be 17 minutes and 41 seconds long. Why? Because that was the match time of Akira Taue’s only Triple Crown win.

Kazuki Hirata is taking his preparations for Soma Takao seriously. He only danced during his entrance and there were no signs of using the HIRATA GO! glasses during their tag match. He only has one thing on his mind and that’s win the AJPW Jr. Title from Takao!

Makoto Oishi briefly mentioned the split between NωA and their manager happened because of “various circumstances”. Oishi said he wants to show that NωA needs the power of everybody to help them make it to “DDT FES 2016”.

Before the dark match took place Danshoku Dino accompanied Super Sasadango Machine to the ring. Dino is taking in Sasadango as his newest patient because he wants to help solve his problem of careless and inappropriate tweeting. Sasadango apologised for his controversial comments about female DDT fans from earlier this week. He proceed to lose the dark match against Hoshitango. Dino wonders is Sasadango now suffers from “The Curse Of The Coin”.

3. The Road To Ganpuro Korakuen “G” Vs “K” Special Tag Match: Shinichiro Tominaga & Tigger Bedscene defeated Shiori Asahi & Marines Mask IV when Tominaga submitted Mask with the Just Facelock (11:10).
4. Ganbare☆Wrestling Vs Tsukaisute-gun: Osamu Namiguchi, GENTARO & Shibata defeated Ken Ohka, Shota & Chikara when Namiguchi pinned Shota with the Lanakila-X (14:49).

The currently named Tsukaisute-gun (Disposable Army) were victorious over Ganbare☆Wrestling in the main event. Chikara wanted a fair fight and offered a handshake before the match but GENTARO attacked him instead. There was a ringside brawl but in the end Ken Ohka and Chikara were held back and forced to watch Osamu Namiguchi pin Shota. They were then put in Sharpshooters while Namiguchi taunted Ohka. Namiguchi also had a surprise for everyone. “Wild Thing” played and Atsushi Onita appeared! Onita talked to Ohka about Ganpuro’s first Korakuen Hall show on 2nd October. Onita brought up the possibility of him against Ohka happening on the show. Ohka excitedly agreed to it although it wasn’t booked. All that is confirmed for now is Onita will be at the Korakuen show. Ohka was then asked what will happen if the show does not sell out. Ohka said he will quit Ganbare☆Wrestling!

The semi-main event was the last piece of research Shinichiro Tominaga needed for his upcoming match with Shiori Asahi. He got the win when he caught Marines Mask IV with the RKO in mid-air then tapped him out with the Just Facelock. Tominaga said he now knows all he needs to beat Asahi and he’ll show off his research on 2nd October.

Hong Kong Domestic Police Man was supposed to be in Match #2 but never showed up. Hong Kong Domestic Bank Robbery Man took his place. There was a lot of nonsense that I can’t make out because the translation says Hong Kong International Police Man over and over. The female one pinned the other two when she reversed a Double Brainbuster. Two two men were unmasked after the match and revealed to be Choun-Shiryu and Atsushi Maruyama.

Yumehito Imanari Vs Yukihiro Abe was a match between two good friends. When Imanari first entered the wrestling industry it was as a cameraman filming a documentary about Abe. It was a matc neither wanted to lose. At one point Imanari yelled “I will not shake” after taking Chops from Imanari. However Abe was having fun and yelled at Imanari to be more creative. Abe scored the win and was greeted by Ohka afterwards. Ohka told him he found his opponent for the Korakuen show. Out came Keisuke Ishii form DDT! Ohka noted that Abe has never beaten Ishii but does have two time limit draws against him. He is the perfect choice of a senior wrestler for Abe to wrestle.

It was announced that Minoru Fujita will graduate from Ganbare☆Wrestling at the 2nd October Korakuen Hall show. He wanted Bambi to team with him for his last match. It was decided their opponents will be Madoka and Fujita’s ex-wife Saki Maemura! She retired back in 2009 and married Fujita a year later but they divorced in 2015. She will even use Saki Fujita as her ring name! Ken Ohka said in order to turn Ganpuro into a major company like WWE they should allow family problems to be settled in the ring.
