1. Yuka Sakazaki & Shoko Nakajima defeated Azusa Takigawa & Nonoko when Sakazaki pinned Takigawa with the Magical Girl Splash (10:40).
2. Daisuke Sasaki & Tetsuya Endo defeated Masahiro Takanashi & Yuki Ueno when Endo pinned Ueno with the Swivel Torture Rack Bomb (9:42).
3. Antonio Honda defeated Nobuhiro Shimatani with a Japanese Leg Roll Clutch (7:18).
4. Konosuke Takeshita & Diego defeated Mizuki Watase & Daiki Shimomura when Takeshita submitted Shimomura with a Dragon Sleeper (7:03).
5. Isami Kodaka & Takumi Tsukamoto defeated Ryuichi Sekine & Takato Nakano when Kodaka pinned Nakano with the Diving Double Knee Drop (10:21).

Day 1 of DDT’s trip to the Tokyo Game Show was headlined by a BASARA match. The bout was sponsored by the upcoming Switch title “Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes” and featured an appearance by the game’s creator Suda 51. He entered the ring to “Real American”. Isami Kodaka told Suda that he usually brings a sword into the ring with him but did not have one today. So he asked Suda if he could borrow a beam katana from him. Suda didn’t have one with him. Kodaka then asked him to rank the wrestlers in the United Assassins Association as he commentated on the match. Kodaka appealed to Suda’s wrestling tastes by doing the Pro Wrestling LOVE pose, hitting the Shining Wizard and calling out Bruiser Brody when he did the match winning Diving Double Knee Drop. Afterwards Suda told Kodaka they will work out a way for him to be referenced in “Travis Strikes Again”. Suda’s idea is to use an existing Fire Pro Wrestling name for his character. So when you play the game look out for Blade Musha (or Blade Warrior), the son of Isami!

Match #4 was a collaboration with “Ryu Ga Gotoku Kiwami 2” (“Yakuza Kiwami 2”) and “Hokuto Ga Gotoku”, the Fist of the North Star game being made by the same team. The series producer revealed that Kiwami 2 will feature appearances by Riki Choshu, Tatsumi Fujinami, Genichiro Tenryu, Keiji Muto and Masahiro Chono. The DDT wrestlers all asked if they could be in the game too. Danshoku Dino encouraged all of them to use the games as inspiration for their match to impress the producer. Mizuki Watase & Daiki Shimomura brought chairs into the ring and acted like gangsters while Konosuke Takeshita and Diego unleashed their inner dragons to fight them off. Takeshita especially took some moves from Fujinami’s moveset, obviously including the ones with Dragon in the name, to win the match. The producer was impressed but sadly the game is too late in its development to add in any more characters. However there will be a performance audition taking place for “Hokuto Ga Gotoku” in the future. Takeshita mentioned he is exactly the same height and weight as the main character Kenshiro. He said he’ll go to the audition with the goal of becoming a hidden character in the game.

Before Match #3 began, Danshoku Dino spoke about playing “LovePlus EVERY”. He asked Antonio Honda and Nobuhiro Shimatani who their favourite girls are in the games. Their answers led to them arguing over who was better and it led into their match. Dino calmed things down after the match by telling Honda and Shimomura that they can both download their favourite girls in LovePlus EVERY. Yes, this match was product placement.

Nonoko made sure to find the location of the Bushiroad booth and had it in her line of sight when she did the Boinmaker in her match.

5. Ganpuro Wrestling Summit: Minoru Fujita & KAZMA SAKAMOTO defeated GENTARO & Shinichiro Tominaga when SAKAMOTO pinned Tominaga with an Arm Cradle (11:30).
6. Independent World Jr. Heavyweight Title: Ken Ohka (c) defeated “brother” YASSHI with the Fire Spear (20:45).
*V3 for Ken Ohka.

The Independent World Jr. Title still belongs to Ken Ohka after a hard fought victory against “brother” YASSHI. Ohka kicked out of YASSHI’s big moves like the Nice Jamaica and the Flying Big Head. Ohka hit back with a Headbutt and a short range Fire Spear for a nearfall. Ohka then finished YASSHI off with a Veritcal Drop Brainbuster and another Fire Spear to win. Ohka gave an emotional speech to YASSHI after the match. Ohka didn’t know anything when they first met. He wasn’t physically strong or had any athletic achievements but he still wanted to be a pro wrestler. So he found the Dragon System, joined their wrestling school and met YASSHI for the first time. Ohka can’t say who was the bigger fool of the two when they went their seperate ways. Ohka had quit and returned to wrestling so many times over 17 years. Today in Shinjuku FACE he and YASSHI had a big match together. He is so happy he gets to wrestle his colleagues now. Ohka fell onto YASSHI and hugged him. YASSHI was crying too and he didn’t know why. He didn’t care about winning a championship today. He came here today to look for an answer and now he found it. He wanted to fight a confident and emotional wrestler who would put it all on the line with no regrets. Today’s match wasn’t for “brother” YASSHI, it was for Yasushi Tsujimoto. He said there is not a single wrestler like Ken Ohka in this industry. YASSHI pleaded with Ohka to continue wrestling and to do so with pride. With the silly emotional stuff out of the way, YASSHI snapped back to his regular self and told Ohka he made a jealous enemy today. When they meet again in this ring, YASSHI will kill him!

When YASSHI left ringside, Ohka went into his finishing speech but was suddenly interrupted by an unexpected visitor. It was Daisuke Sasaki and he was carrying the DDT Extreme Title! Sasaki thought Ohka was going to lose but he proved him wrong. Sasaki called it a great match that moved him and he hopes the 3 Way Match in DDT on 24th September will be just as good. He wanted to shake Ohka’s hand. It was a trap and Sasaki kicked Ohka below the belt! Sasaki mocked Ohka for falling for his trap. He doesn’t care about championships, he’s here to win the 660,000 yen that Ohka would have gambled had he lost his championship today. Ohka told Sasaki he has no need to gamble it now. His Independent World Jr. Title will be defended in the match as planned so he has no need to put his money on the line anymore. Sasaki silenced Ohka when he pulled something out of his pocket. It was Ohka’s savings book! Sasaki stole it backstage during the main event. Sasaki looked through it and discovered that Ohka now has 714,146 yen in his account. Ohka called for help and several Ganpuro wrestlers ran into the ring to grab the book. Sasaki fought all of them off. Ohka got up and Headbutted Sasaki. He went for the Fire Spear but Sasaki dodged it and Ohka speared himself into the turnbuckles. Sasaki fled the ring with Ohka’s savings book. Ohka’s money is gone but he will still defend his title in DDT on 24th September. Then he will defend it again against MIYAWAKI back in Ganbare☆Wrestling on 30th September.

The Awakening Power Bomb that Keisuke Ishii used to win his match is a Sit Down Thunder Fire Power Bomb. The match was also Shota’s return bout for Ganbare☆Wrestling. His first match back from injury happened the day before in Guts World. His partner for the match Yumehito Imanari apologised for taking the fall and letting him down.

Shuichiro Katsumura stopped Osamu Namiguchi with a Benadryller style High Kick to win by TKO. Although he was still dazed, Namiguchi grabbed a microphone and thanked Katsumura for not holding back against this dying semi-pro wrestler. However Namiguchi wasn’t satisfied by how he lost and now feels like the worst wrestler in Japan. He begged Katsumura to strike him right in the brain and finish him off. Katsumura said he didn’t understand what Namiguchi was saying. He noted that the match they just had was advertised as a Shinjuku bout. So they should have more matches against each other in places like Shin-Kiba and other cities. Namiguchi shouted with approval.

Nanaka Kawamura made quite an entrance for her debut wrestling match. She entered wearing a hockey mask, carrying a floral designed chainsaw and was accompanied by four other girls doing the same. Emi Sakura was announced as the “Youngest Active Idol Wrestler” during her introduction, which made her glare at the ring announcer. She also glared at Kawamura when she offered a respectful handshake at the start of the match. Sakura & Riho put Kawamura through the usual rookie’s welcome while HARUKAZE did what she could to aid her partner. Kawamura eventually submitted to Sakura’s Shukurimu but was praised by Ken Ohka after the match. Ohka urged Kawamura to continue and one day she will get her first victory. Ohka then praised Sakura for her entire career but accidentaly made her mad when he said she gave up the chance of marriage to do what she does. Sakura scolded Ohka for his words then turned to Kawamura. Sakura is happy to get new challenges and Kawamura should be too. Kawamura said it was her mother’s dream to become a pro wrestler and today she made it come true on her behalf. Kawamura wants Sakura to come back so they can have more matches together.

There was a special guest in attendance for today’s show. Katsuji Nagashima has worked behind the scenes for New Japan and World Japan. He spoke with several wrestlers in the ring throughout the show and asked for everyone to nickname him Wolf. He handed a book to Imanari and told him it was the same book he gave to Kensuke Sasaki when he convinced him to leave New Japan for World Japan. He said he made Sasaki betray Riki Choshu. Now he thinks Imanari should betray Sanshiro Takagi! At the end of the show he told Ohka he was surprised by what he saw. He felt like he watched pro wrestling for the first time again. He offered to lend Ohka 10,000 yen after he saw Sasaki steal his money. He then asked Ohka to call him Wolf again.

KO-D Tag Team Titles – Factory Pro Wrestling Match: HARASHIMA & Naomichi Marufuji (c) defeated Sanshiro Takagi & Danshoku Dino when Marufuji pinned Dino with the Forklift Shiranui (27:21).
*V1 for HarashiMarufuji.

DDT’s visit to the Miyagi Iron Works began with an appearance by Gota Ihashi. He approached the truck loading platform and positioned himself as if he was making a wish to a shrine. He said he felt nervous like he was having his debut wrestling match all over again. He then entertained the fans with some stories. When he finished, NωA took over and performed a mini concert.

With the pre-show out of the way, it was time for the main attraction. HARASHIMA & Naomichi Marufuji put the KO-D Tag Team Titles on the line against Sanshiro Takagi & Danshoku Dino in a Falls Count Anywhere match. Takagi wanted to square off with Marufuji to start the match. He shook his hand and welcomed him to Factory Pro Wrestling. They exchanged holds and Marufuji quickly discovered how dirty he was going to get just from rolling on the ground.

HARASHIMA and Dino both tagged in and soon the match broke down into a free for all. Marufuji stepped back in to Chop Dino a few times. Takagi grabbed a shovel, scooped up some lime powder and threw it at Marufuji. HARASHIMA did the same to Dino. An angry Marufuji joined in and swung the shovel of powder at the challengers as much as he could. At this point all four wrestlers looked as white as ghosts. The heat from the powder also made them rush around to try and cool down.

Next, Marufuji chased Takagi up a crane to the scaffold. Up there, they tried to push each other off. HARASHIMA followed but his foot slipped on the ladder and he was left hanging upside down by his legs. Dino attacked the defenceless HARASHIMA until Marufuji climbed down to rescue him. Meanwhile the referee Yukinori Matsui was stuck at the top of the crane. His fear of heights got the better of him. Back on the ground, Marufuji tried to get him down by shaking and kicking the crane.

Dino brought Marufuji away from the crane and went to give him the Lip Lock. Marufuji’s attendant Junta Miyawaki stopped him but he was given the Lip Lock instead. Takagi returned to the scene on his Combat Bicycle, hitting HARASHIMA with a Lariat. Marufuji stopped Takagi in his tracks with a kick then robbed the bicycle. Marufuji cycled into Takagi and Dino, striking them down with Horizontal Chops. However he lost control and crashed into Shunma Katsumata and MAO.

Dino grabbed Marufuji and ordered Katsumata and MAO to climb up some nearby vending machines. They did so and both Moonsaulted onto everyone below. Takagi was the first to recover and he grabbed a trash can filled with bottle caps. He emptied the can over HARASHIMA.

Takagi told Marufuji he will taste an attack he had never tasted before over at “The Ark”. This turned out to be a blast from a fire extinguisher. HARASHIMA came to the rescue with his arms covered with traffic cones. He spun around hoping to strike everyone with the cones but Takagi sprayed him with the extinguisher.

The match found its way over to the roadside where Takagi and Marufuji found a truck with Gota Ihashi sitting inside it. Takagi ordered Ihashi to set up a table and a ladder next to the truck. Takagi sprayed Marufuji again and placed him on the table. He climbed up the ladder but in the meantime, Marufuji got off the table and put Ihashi in his place. Takagi didn’t noticed and dove off the ladder, crushing Ihashi through the table instead of Marufuji!

Back inside the factory, Dino found a hose and cleaned the powder off both himself and Takagi. Dino again tried to give Marufuji the Lip Lock, telling him his love from over the years will finally bloom. Marufuji fought him off with Chops. Takagi threw some chairs into a pile next to the truck. He tried to give HARASHIMA a Brainbuster from the truck to the pile but Marufuji stopped him by jamming a chair up his backside. Takagi fell back onto the pile and HARASHIMA dove onto him with the Somato. HARASHIMA went for the pin but Dino cut him off at two. Dino finally caught Marufuji with the Lip Lock but Marufuji kicked out of it.

Dino ordered Makoto Oishi to hold Marufuji while he got in the Hell Gate position on a forklift. The forklift moved up and down, making Dino do the Danshoku Nightmare on Marufuji. HARASHIMA returned with a traffic cone and he jammed it up Dino’s backside as the forklift descended. Marufuji found a road sign nearby. He threw it to Dino and when he caught it, Marufuji smashed the sign into Dino’s face with a Jumping Knee Attack. Marufuji then gave Dino the Shiranui off of the forklift to bring an end to the match. HARASHIMA & Marufuji are still the KO-D Tag Team Champions!

After the match HARASHIMA was full of positivity over Marufuji’s first Street Wrestling match. He called Marufuji a “truly flashing genius” and he couldn’t believe how well he did for his first time doing something like this. Marufuji said he felt a bit sticky but he & HARASHIMA showed everyone how powerful they are together no matter what the situation is. Their celebration was cut short when another forklift drove into the area.

The truck stopped and all of Shuten-dōji were on it. KUDO & Masahiro Takanashi were standing on the platform while Yukio Sakaguchi was in the driver’s seat. Takanashi congratulated the champions on their victory then challenged them to a title match. He said Marufuji’s chops cannot compare to KUDO & Sakaguchi’s kicks. He wants KUDO & Sakaguchi to be the next challengers. Sakaguchi caught Takanashi by surprise by admitting he wasn’t interested in going after the Tag Titles right now. This time, Sakaguchi wants to see Takanashi team with KUDO and go for the titles together. KUDO agreed. A confused Takanashi didn’t know what to do and told Sakaguchi to drive away but he didn’t. HARASHIMA & Marufuji accepted the challenge and agreed to put the titles on the line on 9th October when Marufuji is next available to wrestle for DDT. Marufuji then revealed he had stolen Takanashi’s phone and portable wi-fi device. Takanashi tried to save face by saying he didn’t need them, then finally convinced Sakaguchi to drive away. The champions finished their victory speech to close out the show. They are HarashiMarufuji! They will let the wind blow all over the world! Why? Because they train!

5. Isami Kodaka 15th Anniversary Memorial Match ~Blessed Edition~: Ryuji Ito & GENTARO defeated Isami Kodaka & Ryota Nakatsu when GENTARO pinned Kodaka with a Lou Thesz Back Drop (18:50).

Isami Kodaka was put through the wringer by two of his seniors as his 15th Anniversary series continued. He & Ryota Nakatsu were defeated by GENTARO & Ryuji Ito. Kodaka was crushed by Ito’s Dragon Splash and was then given a Lou Thesz style Back Drop by GENTARO. Kodaka fought through the pain to rise back to his feet but another Back Drop put him down for the count. GENTARO apologised to Kodaka because he forgot it was his 15th Anniversary. GENTARO remembered seeing Kodaka fight Kengo Mashimo in one of his first wrestling matches for K-DOJO. He is amazed to watch him grow into a great wrestler. Ito congratulated Kodaka too but then bragged that he and GENTARO are both celebrating their 18th Anniversary this year.

Trans-Am ★ Ryuichi used Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi’s Perfect Plex to win the 3 Way Tag Match. Hiroshi praised him for using the move backstage afterwards. After all, it is the perfect finishing move. Ryuichi said that today he blew his “American Big Magnum”. Next month at Korakuen Hall, Ryuichi’s “Big Magnum” will blow off Kodaka’s thin arms!

Hercules Senga was thrilled to bring Speed Of Sounds back to BASARA but was annoyed to learn that he would be fighting against Tsutomu Oosugi instead of teaming with him. When he pinned Best Stretchman V3 to win the match, Senga demanded he give Oosugi back to him. Stretchman refused and told Senga to bring a stronger partner next time. He wants to fight Senga as many times as possible. Senga said he will and he promised he would rescue Oosugi eventually. Oosugi seemed okay with the whole situation. To him it was just a match.

5. From Nagoya World! Special Single Match: Shigehiro Irie defeated Soma Takao with the Beast Bomber (12:23).
6. ALL OUT Vs DAMNATION!: Daisuke Sasaki & Tetsuya Endo defeated Konosuke Takeshita & Akito when Sasaki pinned Takeshita with the Sasaki Hurricanrana (16:01).

Daisuke Sasaki avenged yesterday’s result by pinning Konosuke Takeshita in today’s main event. Sasaki caught Takeshita with his flash Hurricanrana for the sudden three count. After the match Sasaki said that yesterday he borrowed from Ken Ohka but today he gave it back. He offered a handshake to Takeshita and convinced him that today he is different. Of course, he was lying and he kicked Takeshita between the legs during the handshake. Sasaki taunted Takeshita for not knowing any better then said he values the DDT Extreme Title over the KO-D Openweight Title.

I think this is Shigehiro Irie’s final DDT show before his next tour of America. He won his last match and is still on good terms with his opponent Soma Takao. Irie said it is important for both of their generation to grow up. He knows he will grow stronger in America and he hopes Takao will grow stronger too while he is gone. Then they can fight again when Irie comes home.

Disaster BOX were reunited to celebrate the return of Shogo “Jet” Takagi to a DDT ring. HARASHIMA marked the occasion by wearing his old Disaster BOX gear (which was pretty much the Darkside HERO! costume without the mask). Danshoku Dino said after ten years he and Takagi will get to settle their grudge. He then suggested the match to be fought under Technical Jet Rules. The winner is the first wrestler to use Takagi’s wind up punch finisher. It is necessary for the person to do four punches and yell “Jet!” during each punch. Then they had to wind up the fifth punch and hit it to win. Takagi and Antonio Honda got into a duel between Jet Punches and Bionic Elbows. It ended with Takagi coming out on top and hitting the final punch to win the match for Disaster BOX. HARASHIMA said in the post match speech that when he was in Disaster BOX he took part in more serious matches. But it was a pleasure to have fun with his old friends again.

Kazuki Hirata was accompanied by members of AED Medical Pro Wrestling in the opening match. The group promotes medical care through pro wrestling and music.

7. Okayama Specialty! Special 6-Man Tag Match: Konosuke Takeshita, Akito & Diego defeated Daisuke Sasaki, Tetsuya Endo & Mad Paulie when Takeshita pinned Sasaki with the Surprise Rose (17:03).

Daisuke Sasaki took a page out of Ken Ohka’s book and used the Spear to try and beat Konosuke Takeshita. He hit his target and latched on the Cross Facelock but Takeshita escaped the hold. It went worse for Sasaki as Tetsuya Endo’s Overhead Kick intended for Takeshita missed and hit Sasaki instead. Takeshita then pinned Sasaki with the Surprise Rose. Sasaki said backstage he was misled into thinking that copying Ohka was a good idea.

Masahiro Takanashi countered Soma Takao’s Gin And Tonic into a Manjigatame. He then shuffled around and turned the move into the Takatonic to pin him. Afterwards, Takanashi threw in his support for KUDO to beat HARASHIMA later this month.

Kurashiki City is the latest area to be transformed into a Gay Town by Danshoku Dino’s success in wrestling matches. He asked everyone in the audience who lives in Kurashiki to raise their hand. He then told them to eat dumplings off each other’s crotches. Dino then warned that next year his target will be the nearby city of Tsuyama.

The spotlight was on Nobuhiro Shimatani today as DDT visited his hometown of Shimonoseki. With Smile Squash helping him out, Shimatani was given the opportunity to fight ALL OUT in the main event. But sadly it ended in defeat. Konosuke Takeshita took all Shimatani had to offer like the Fisherman Buster and Standing Shooting Star Press. Takeshita fired back with Big Boots, Lariats, Brainbusters and a Diving Body Press that Shimatani could not kick out of. Takeshita told everyone afterwards that Shimatani was originally a trainee in the same class as himself but ran away. He didn’t see him again until DDT’s first visit to Saitama Super Arena in 2015. He encouraged Shimatani to train with DDT again. Since then Shimatani got to debut under the DNA banner and now today he is in the main event in his hometown and gets to have the final word. Shimatani apologised to the fans for losing. He promises to become stronger when he returns.

When Antonio Honda put Daisuke Sasaki in a submission hold, he grabbed a microphone and constantly asked Sasaki to give up. Sasaki kept saying similar sounding words to annoy him. Honda later accidentally hit Kazusada Higuchi with the Bionic Elbow. Higuchi was too dazed to stop Mad Paulie from pinning Honda with the Paulie Buster.

Danshoku Dino’s victory today means he now gets to call Shimonoseki a Gay Town. He told the audience that Shimonoseki is now famous for five products: Pufferfish, Sea Urchins, Anko Paste, Whale Meat and Gay. Please go and taste all of them!

5. TOKYO Princess Tag Team Titles Tournament – Semi Final: Yuka Sakazaki & Shoko Nakajima defeated Maki Ito & Mizuki when Sakazaki pinned Ito with the Magical Girl Splash (14:42).

The finals are set in the TOKYO Princess Tag Team Titles Tournament. The Miracle Apricots and the Dragon Bombers both won their semi-final matches and will collide on 14th October to determine the first Tag Team Champions. Rika Tatsumi acknowledged how strong both Yuka Sakazaki & Shoko Nakajima are. But she thinks they had it easy in the tournament while the Dragon Bombers in her opinion had to overcome tougher matches. So that makes the Dragon Bombers the stronger team.

The TRICK STUDENT team wished everybody a happy Halloween during their entrance. During the finish of the match, Maho Kurone yelled “Halloween is over!” before doing her Diabolos finishing move. She explained afterwards that she gets annoyed at anybody who celebrates Halloween too early. Right now it is September, not October. Even seeing Don Quijote selling Halloween decorations this early annoys her.

7. KO-D Openweight Title, DDT Extreme Title & Independent World Jr. Heavyweight Title – 3 Way Match: Konosuke Takeshita (K/c) Vs Daisuke Sasaki (E/c) Vs Ken Ohka (I/c)

Producer Danshoku Dino explained why he decided to make the HARASHIMA Vs KUDO match. If Sanshiro Takagi, NOSAWA Rongai and MIKAMI were the most important figures in DDT’s creation then HARASHIMA and KUDO are the most important wrestlers for the rest of the 20 year history of the company. Dino wants to see who is the stronger of the two in today’s DDT. HARASHIMA thinks the winner of this match can have a claim to be the No. 1 Contender for the KO-D Openweight Title. KUDO is confident he will win because he beat HARASHIMA in their last singles match together.

For the 3 Way Match main event, KUDO predicts Ken Ohka will find a way to win. Ohka famously won the KO-D Title from KUDO back in 2015 by using his Right To Challenge title shot in the middle of KUDO’s defence against Yasu Urano, turning it into a 3 Way in the process. Ohka pinned Urano to become the champion. His plan worked perfectly but KUDO had his own Right To Challenge Contract and cashed it in to immediately win back the championship. KUDO thinks the landscape of the upcoming main event changes completely with the addition of Ohka. He knows Ohka will have a trick up his sleeve to win somehow.

A weird moment happened at the “NON-FIX ~ 9.13 ~” show a few days ago. Muscle Sakai and Super Sasadango Machine were in the ring together at the same time. It was odd because nobody had ever seen them in the same place before. Sasadango explained in an unusual voice that he hired Sakai as a subcontractor to help Producer Dino with his busy schedule. Sakai’s role is to produce the first ever singles match between Dino Vs Sasadango. Dino is allowing this because Sakai is such an indispensable part of DDT history. Sasadango shocked both Sakai and Dino by revealing that the match is now a Loser Leaves House match! Whoever loses must leave their home and move somewhere else! Sakai got mad because he, er, Sasadango just bought his house in Niigata. When asked why he would make that stipulation, Sasadango said it’s because he lived in Niigata for many years and should move to Tokyo even though he doesn’t want to. But he is also determined not to lose the match. He came up with this stipulation only because the match needs a bet. Sakai admitted he’d like to make Dino move to a new house so the stipulation was accepted!
