3. Heaven Summit ~Itadaki~ – Round 1: Isami Kodaka defeated Daiki Shimomura with the Fundo No Tsumi (8:49).
4. Heaven Summit ~Itadaki~ – Round 1: Tsutomu Oosugi (w/ Banana Senga) defeated Takumi Tsukamoto with a School Boy (2:52).
5. Heaven Summit ~Itadaki~ – Round 1: Minoru Fujita defeated Fuminori Abe with a Double Wristlock (10:30).
6. Heaven Summit ~Itadaki~ – Round 1: FUMA defeated Daichi Kazato with the Jawbreaker (10:17).
7. Heaven Summit ~Itadaki~ – Round 1: Yasu Urano defeated Masato Kamino with an Inverted Hurricanrana (9:52).
8. Heaven Summit ~Itadaki~ – Round 1: SAGAT defeated Ryuichi Sekine with the Goregrind (11:35).

The opening show of this year’s Heaven Summit ~Itadaki~ began with news that the winner will receive a 500,000 yen cash prize. The big news coming out of the 1st Round is Ryuichi Sekine getting eliminated by SAGAT! The Union MAX Champion couldn’t get the Let’s Combine locked in and that ended up costing him. SAGAT took him down with a Short Range Lariat and pinned him with the Goregrind. SAGAT kept asking himself in his victory speech if this was a dream. The audience cheers made him realise this was real.

Daichi Kazato was in for a bit of a fright when FUMA found the hood belonging to Best Stretchman V3 hidden in Kazato’s tights. FUMA put on the hood for a taunt but suddenly transformed into a Best Stretchman and did his moves! Kazato took the hood back and wore it himself. He also attached a large rubber band from his waist to the ropes to keep him grounded against FUMA’s attacks. That backfired when Kazato dove off the top rope and the band held him back. That allowed FUMA to hit the Jawbreaker kick for the win.

If Minoru Fujita wins the tournament, he wants to spend the 500,000 yen on his own independently produced show using the BASARA roster.

A knee injury early into the match ruined Takumi Tsukamoto’s chances of advancing. He missed a top rope attack and landed on his knee. Tsutomu Oosugi targeted the injury with a low Dropkick and quickly got the pin with a School Boy.

Isami Kodaka used a Double Wrist Clutch Exploder to win against his stablemate Daiki Shimomura. The move is now called the Fundo No Tsumi (Sin Of Rage).

The other big upset in Round 1 was Takato Nakano eliminating the first Heaven Summit winner Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi! Nakano used the Warrior’s Return as a counter for Hiroshi’s Riki Lariat.

The 2nd Round matches are Takato Nakano Vs Ryota Nakatsu, Isami Kodaka Vs Tsutomu Oosugi, Minoru Fujita Vs FUMA and Yasu Urano Vs SAGAT.

Gunso appeared during the show to ask Kodaka when and where the annual summertime rivalry between BASARA and Dove Pro will begin? They agreed to do shows in August. There will also be a prelude bout on 28th July.

5. KO-D Openweight Title: Tetsuya Endo (c) Vs Konosuke Takeshita

What will Akito come up with for his first DDT Extreme Title defence? His previous run four years ago was filled with stipulations that inspired more technical and intelligent forms of wrestling. Is Asuka ready to play this game of human chess if Akito goes that route again?

DDT is looking for various companies to sponsor the show. Their first announced sponsorship is with a tax accounting firm for the dark match. It was the firm’s idea to sponsor the dark match because it has never been done before. They hope the match will be just as exciting as the main event.

Yoshiaki Yatsu, Joey Ryan, Chris Brookes and Mike Bailey will be on the show.

DDT “SUMMER VACATION 2019”, 21/07/2019
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. Kota Umeda Great Match: Kota Umeda Vs X
2. KO-D Openweight Title: Tetsuya Endo (c) Vs Chris Brookes

It was announced today that Kota Umeda will be leaving DDT when his contract ends on 21st July. The reason is Umeda will be concentrating on working for his family’s business in his home of Kumamoto. The 24 year old will not be able to wrestle while carrying this responsibility. His family is important to him so he is choosing them over pro wrestling. Umeda originally asked to retire as a wrestler but Sanshiro Takagi convinced him to resign from DDT instead. Umeda is so young that he may find the opportunity to wrestle again somewhere down the line. For example DDT runs a show in Kumamoto once a year (this year’s show is coming up in August) so maybe that spot could always be available for him to wrestle in front of his home crowd. Umeda is grateful to Takagi for the advice he gave him and promises to do his best for the last two months of his contract.

Hideki Suzuki, Jiro “Ikemen” Kuroshio, Joey Ryan and Mike Bailey will be on the show.

8. Super Space Time Wars Kaientai DX Vs Kishiwada Brigade ~ Special Tag Match: Dick Togo & MEN’S Teioh defeated Magnitude Kishiwada & Buffalo when Togo pinned Buffalo with a School Boy (19:45).
9. Special Tag Match ~Dramatic Dream~: Konosuke Takeshita & HARASHIMA defeated Shigehiro Irie & Kazusada Higuchi when Takeshita pinned Higuchi with the German Suplex (27:14).

Referee Yukinori Matsui celebrated his 25th anniversary in the business with a special show featuring DDT and Osaka talent. The main event featured Shigehiro Irie’s first match back in DDT since “DDT IS COMING TO AMERICA” in April. His interactions with Konosuke Takeshita stood out in the match. Takeshita gave Irie a Brainbuster on the entry ramp. Later on Irie cut off Takeshita’s Fable by hitting him with the Traffic Accident Tackle in mid-air! HARASHIMA got rid of Irie by hitting a Flying Double Knee Strike to the outside. Takeshita was able to hit the Fable on Kazusada Higuchi. He then pinned him with the German Suplex.

Takeshita said after the match he did not want to shake hands with Higuchi or Irie. Especially Irie because he was the one to end his record breaking KO-D Openweight Title reign over a year ago. However fighting him today reminded Takeshita that Irie is a rival and what he would like is to fight him again someday. Irie said he is happy with how much everyone has grown since he left DDT. He came here today to celebrate Matsui’s career and take another group photo with him.

The semi-main event was a scrap between Kaientai DX and the Kishiwada Brigade. A ringside brawl left Dick Togo & MEN’S Teioh both bleeding from their heads. Togo and Magnitude Kishiwada then brought in chairs and took turns hitting each other over the head with them. Kishiwada put Togo through a table with a Diving Body Press to the outside. Buffalo didn’t come out in one piece either. His mask was torn up and he too was busted open by Teioh. A collision between him and Kishiwada led to Togo getting the pin on Buffalo with a School Boy. The result angered Kishiwada so much that he gave his partner a Lariat before leaving the ring.

Kikutaro misunderstood what the show was and thought it was supposed to be Matsui’s funeral.

Matsui spent so many days putting this show together that Super Sasadango Machine wanted to give him a break. So Danshoku Dieno became the referee for Match #3. Sasadango went to give Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi the F5 but Hiroshi fell on top of him and immediately pinned him. Hisaya Imabayashi demanded a restart with Matsui as the ref again. The match went on as normal. Well as normal as a match with this lot could be.

Kuishinbo Kamen sent a video message apologising for missing the show because of an injury.

7. Yukio Sakaguchi, HARASHIMA & Kazusada Higuchi defeated Daisuke Sasaki, Tetsuya Endo & Mad Paulie when Higuchi pinned Paulie with the Doctor Bomb (13:06).

DAMNATION used Mad Paulie’s collar and leash to choke Yukio Sakaguchi with. However Sakaguchi was able to render Daisuke Sasaki useless with a Sleeper Hold, hit Paulie with the God’s Right Knee and got rid of Tetsuya Endo with an Apron PK outside the ring. HARASHIMA kept a look out while Kazusada Higuchi pinned Paulie with the Doctor Bomb. Sakaguchi told Endo he wants to kill him right now but he’d rather wait until their match at Matsuyama. Endo feels the same way. He said the KO-D Openweight Title means everything to him because he won it from Sasaki.

The DDT Extreme Title match featured a stipulation that starts off peacefully but descends into mayhem if something goes wrong. Antonio Honda and Akito wrestled each other while bystanders Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi and Konaka = Pale One would meditate and do yoga next to them. The slightest touch to either Hiroshi or Konaka would send them into a rage and result in a sudden attack before they returned to meditating. The provoked attacks would continue until Hiroshi and Konaka touched each other, leading to a fight between themselves. When this happened Honda had enough space in the ring to hit the Diving Fist Drop to Akito. He went for the pin but Hiroshi broke it with the Yoga Ye to Honda! Akito put Honda in the Scorpion Deathlock and made Honda tap to win the Extreme Title. The trainee at ringside, Nakamura, accidentally made contact with Hiroshi and Konaka after the match. He suffered the consequences.

Akito thanked Honda for the match and was ecstatic to become the Extreme Champion again after five years. Asuka congratulated Akito and asked for a title match. She is starving for a championship ever since she lost the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title. Hisaya Imabayashi loved the idea and wants the match to happen at Ota Ward on 15th July. However Akito struggled to accept it and even argued with Imabayashi over the idea. He eventually gave in and will put the belt on the line against Asuka at “WRESTLE PETER PAN 2019”.

Soma Takao already had Kazuki Hirata beaten with the Gin And Tonic. He decided to add insult to injury by pinning Hirata with his own finisher, the Egoist Driver!

The returning Shunma Katsumata took the fall in Match #4. Konosuke Takaeshita said he’s been annoyed by how much Katsumata’s career had stalled this year because of his injuries. He asked him to do his best to start again from scratch. Katsumata promised to do that and also to do his best for ALL OUT’s upcoming series with the Sendai Girls.

It was announced that Chris Brookes will get a KO-D Title shot at the 21st July Korakuen Hall show.

Higuchi found out he will be facing Yukio Naya on 30th June. When they met in the ring for the announcement Naya shoved Higuchi. Naya doesn’t care about his bloodline. He wants to show everyone his power under his own terms.

7. Tokyo Princess Cup – Round 1: Shoko Nakajima defeated Yuki Kamifuku with the Northern Lights Suplex (12:05).

Yuki Kamifuku pulled in Daisuke Kiso to prevent Shoko Nakajima from hitting the Northern Lights Suplex. In the middle of this fracas, Nakajima went for a Dropkick but Kiso took the hit instead of Kamifuku. The absence of a referee gave Kamifuku a chance to win but Nakajima was able to recover. Kamifuku had some fight left when she kicked out of the Northern Lights but one more use of the move eliminated her from the Tokyo Princess Cup. Nakajima admitted this turned into a dangerous match and it is becoming more difficult to win the tournament. She wants to win the Princess Cup while holding the TOKYO Princess Title because it hasn’t been done before.

There were hugs and smiles from Pandemic Boo-Boo after their match so Hikari Noa has no hard feelings over losing to Natsumi Maki. Maki hopes that this will become a meaningful match for Noa.

We only had to wait until the second match for the big upset of the tournament. Miu Watanabe overcame the odds to beat Nodoka Tenma! She escaped from the Killswitch and struck Tenma with the Laser Beam Punch. Watanabe then used a spinning version of the Flapjack called the Tear Drop to get the win. Watanabe wanted to go all out today to make up for missing last year’s Princess Cup.

Well so much for that fan vote. Himawari Unagi was the first woman eliminated from the tournament after a loss to Rika Tatsumi. Unagi feels regret over the result not just for her but also her generation of Tokyo Joshi Pro wrestlers. She thinks this class of five women are the most in-sync amongst the roster so she was representing them just as much as herself. For Tatsumi the win was just what she needed for a confidence boost.

Marika Kobashi was given a harsh looking farewell from Tokyo Joshi when Miyu Yamashita defeated her with the Modified Cobra Clutch. But that was the kind of treatment Kobashi wanted for her final match as a high school student. She thanked Yamashita and Reika Saiki for everything they’ve done for her even though her neck was left feeling sore. When her school exams are done she will prepare her body and mind for her return to Tokyo Joshi.

NEO Bishiiki-gun tried to make Mizuki see their way of life during their tag match. When Misao had YUMI held in a rest hold, Sakisama cut off Mizuki by putting her in a ballroom dance pose like she used to do with Azusa Christie. Mizuki said she hated it and later refused Misao’s request to “build a new world together.” Sakisama said backstage that Mizuki would look good in black and white. She promised to take away the TOKYO Princess Tag Team Titles from Mizuki as well as her mind and her heart!
