1. Maki Itoh & Arisu Endo defeated Moka Miyamoto & Juria Nagano when Itoh submitted Nagano with the Itoh Punish (10:26).
2. 3 Way Match: Yuki Kamifuku defeated Mizuki and Haruna Neko when Kamifuku pinned Neko with a Cradle (8:53).
3. Yuki Arai, Raku & Pom Harajuku defeated Hyper Misao, Mahiro Kiryu & Kaya Toribami when Arai pinned Toribami with the Finally (13:08).
4. Tokyo Princess Cup – Quarter Final: Suzume defeated Rika Tatsumi with a Crucifix Pin (11:10).
5. Tokyo Princess Cup – Quarter Final: Miyu Yamashita defeated Nao Kakuta with the Skull Kick (9:21).
6. Tokyo Princess Cup – Quarter Final: Yuka Sakazaki defeated Hikari Noa with the Magical Girl Splash (12:55).
7. Tokyo Princess Cup – Quarter Final: Miu Watanabe defeated Shoko Nakajima with the Tear Drop (16:34).

The Quarter Finals is where Shoko Nakajima’s run in the Tokyo Princess Cup ends this time around. Miu Watanabe has the achievement of eliminating the current Princess Of Princess Champion from the tournament! She avoided the Locomotion Northern Lights Suplex and blocked a Hurricanrana to pin Nakajima with the Tear Drop. Watanabe said before that she wants to defeat her seniors in Tokyo Joshi Pro and she got to do it today. She said there are still many difficult roads to travel but she will do her best to keep winning.

It was so close and yet still so far for Hikari Noa. She wasn’t able to beat Yuka Sakazaki despite putting out her best effort. She hit the Blizzard Suplex twice, the first one happening from the top rope. But both times she couldn’t pin Sakazaki quickly enough to get a three count. That cost her because Sakazaki got a second wind, did the Magical Merry-Go-Round and hit the Magical Girl Splash for the victory. Sakazaki said she feels a lot of pressure to win the tournament this year so did not want to lose here. She’s pretending to be ok but cannot deny that Noa is getting stronger.

Miyu Yamashita made up for her recent AEW defeat by beating Nao Kakuta to qualify for the Princess Cup semi final. Kakuta made it difficult by attacking Yamashita during her entrance. She quickly tried to set up the Shiden Kai but Yamashita fought out of it. She escaped the move a second time and hit her own signatures to advance to the final four. Yamashita believes this is the year she will finally win the tournament. She also said her time in AEW was a very good experience.

Perhaps the big upset of the round goes to Suzume for eliminating Rika Tatsumi! Tatsumi had control for most of the match and took her opponent to the limit. Suzume looked like she was out of it when she collapsed in the Dragon Sleeper. But she countered the Twist Of Fate and rolled Tatsumi into a Crucfix Pin to get the three count! The two hugged after the match and shook hands. Suzume made it her goal to surpass Tatsumi and this result is the breakthrough she needs. Her run through this tournament is earning her the title of “Rising Star” within the company. Tatsumi on the other hand accepts the result and has no excuse for losing. She is done with the tournament and wants to enjoy the rest of her summer by taking vacations and going to festivals.

The draw for the semi finals took place a couple of hours after the show. On 13th August Yuka Sakazaki takes on Suzume while Miyu Yamashita will fight against Miu Watanabe. The final takes place the next day on the 14th.
A couple of future match announcements were made at the start of the show. Max The Impaler’s first match in Tokyo Joshi Pro on 13th August will be against Pom Harajuku. There is one thing you need to know about Max. THEY. HATE. IDOLS! Also on the show is Arisu Endo Vs Mei Suruga.
The “TJPW INSPIRATION” show will return on 11th September. One of the matches taking place is The Magical Sugar Rabbits against the team of Pokotan and Demonio Uno. Two foreign wrestlers will also appear. Dalys from CMLL makes her return for the first time since 2020 while Stephanie Vaquer from Chile makes her TJPW debut.

1. GanJo Special Single Match: Cherry defeated YuuRI with the Cherryton Bomb (9:28).
2. GanPro Specialty! Mixed 6-Man Tag Match: Shuichiro Katsumura, Tsuyoshi Okada & HARUKAZE defeated MAO, Tyson Maeguchi & Yuna Manase when Katsumura submitted Maeguchi with a Cross Armbreaker (11:32).
3. ROMANCE DAWN Vs DDT: Shota & Soma Takao defeated Shunma Katsumata & Yuki Ishida when Shota pinned Ishida with a Marumekomu (16:31).
4. GanPro Sanada Maru! Special Tag Match: Keisuke Ishii & Shigehiro Irie defeated Kazuaki Mihara & Kouki Iwasaki when Irie pinned Iwasaki with the Best Bomber (14:54).
5. GanPro Osaka Summer Team! Special Tag Match: Yumehito Imanari & Magnitude Kishiwada defeated Mizuki Watase & Shinichiro Tominaga when Imanari pinned Tominaga with the Lariat (18:17).
A missed Moonsault from Shinichiro Tominaga cost his team the match. He had a great chance to pin the Spirit Of Ganbare Champion but missing that move proved to be a fatal mistake. Yumehito Imanari took control and got a 2 count with a Tiger Driver. He then hit the Lariat to win. After the match Magnitude Kishiwada said he was skeptical of Ganbare☆Pro at first but now understands they have something pretty good going on (Ken Ohka being absent might have a little to do with it given what happened the last time Kishiwada appeared in Ganpro). He’ll take on any Ganpro wrestlers in a singles match whenever they want just as long as he doesn’t have to take responsibility for what he will do to them.
Imanari used those words of encouragement to call out Shigehiro Irie. He told Irie he is under tremendous pressure every day but still wants to fight the strongest like Irie with all of his feelings behind it. Irie said he is surprised Imanari wants this match because he kept avoiding him since their tag match at Korakuen Hall two years ago. He warned that by challenging him Imanari will lose his confidence, his championship and everything else on 13th August!
ROMANCE DAWN teased the DDT team of Shunma Katsumata & Yuki Ishida by doing The 37KAMIINA poses during their match. They continued after the match by making sauna references in their post-match interview backstage. Soma Takao said he will be sad to see Shota go on excursion because he does not know when he will come back. Shota said their singles match against each other on 13th August will be a romance only they can do.

1. Yukio Sakaguchi defeated Kazuki Hirata with the PK (7:12).
2. Yuki “Sexy” Iino & Danshoku “Dandy” Dieno Vs Toru Owashi & Soma Takao ended in a No Contest (14:50).
3. Special 6-Man Tag Match: Jun Akiyama, Yusuke Okada & Bodyguard defeated Yuji Hino, Yukio Naya & Yuki Ishida when Bodyguard pinned Ishida with the Rising Dragon (13:44).
4. Daisuke Sasaki & KANON defeated Akito & Antonio Honda when KANON submitted Honda with the Just Cobra Twist (9:43).
5. Osaka Specialty Special Tag Match: HARASHIMA & Gamma defeated Yuki Ueno & Makoto Oishi when HARASHIMA pinned Oishi with a Crucifix Pin (13:25).
6. Tetsuya Endo defeated Yuya Koroku with the Swivel Torture Rack Bomb (11:28).
7. Harimao Vs The 37KAMIINA!: Kazusada Higuchi & Naomi Yoshimura defeated MAO & Shunma Katsumata when Yoshimura pinned Katsumata with the Throwaway Power Bomb (20:39).
A truck tire was brought into the main event by ShunMao. They and Harimao were almost counted out over brawling around ringside but MAO was able to delay the ref’s count long enough to use Shunma Katsumata for some big tire related attacks until Harimao finally stopped them. After the match ShunMao said they would like to fight forever with Kazusada Higuchi & Naomi Yoshimura. For that reason they would like to be nominated as the next challengers for the KO-D Tag Team Titles.
Tetsuya Endo wants to go into his KO-D Openweight Title match at perfect condition. He is using his valuable ring time working on his different moves so he doesn’t have to rely on the Burning Star Press on Sasuke Special to win. He was impressed with his opponent and BURNING stablemate Yuya Koroku and thinks the current form of DDT is bright.
Gamma’s first match on a regular DDT show was put together because of Yukinori Matsui. The two of them go way back to the days of Michinoku Pro and Osaka Pro. Gamma is retiring from pro wrestling on 14th August but Matsui is unable to attend the event because he will be working on a DDT show that day. Even though Gamma has no connection to DDT, Matsui reached out to the company to book him once before his retirement. Gamma thanked him for that and said if it wasn’t for Matsui’s kindness he never would have returned to pro wrestling when Osaka Pro was launched. He has gone on to survive wrestling for around 25 years and will get to retire in good condition. HARASHIMA said it is said to see a wrestler from his generation retire but told Gamma to keep running as fast as he can to the end.
Getting to wrestle Gamma meant a lot to Yuki Ueno. He didn’t discover Osaka Pro until after he became a pro wrestler but doing so got Ueno to discover how cool, big and strong Gamma is. Today was Ueno’s first match since recovering from covid and he feels energized again from being in the ring with HARASHIMA, Makoto Oishi and Gamma. Oishi told Ueno he will challenge him for the DDT Universal Title when Ueno wins it back.
The masked man in briefs got involved in the Pheromones match by taking Kazuki Hirata hostage up in the venue’s balcony while the tag match happened below. Toru Owashi & Soma Takao didn’t care so continued fighting. So Yuki Iino tried to attack them with the masked man’s underwear. Hisaya Imabayashi wanted to put a stop to it and fought fire with fire by attacking Pheromones with his own underwear covering his hand. The end result was Imabayashi and all of the wrestlers fainting from having underwear shoved into their faces. Nobody was left conscious so Matsui called off the match. Danshoku Dieno later said this is the way DDT should because it is going the wrong direction under Imabayashi’s watch.
Konosuke Takeshita sent in a message promoting his 10th Anniversary show in Nishinari on 10th September by announcing a bunch of Osaka wrestlers booked for the show. He’ll be back in Japan for about two months before returning to his overseas excursion.

7. DDT Extreme Title – Fluorescent Lighttube IPPON Death Match: Akito (c) Vs Joey Janela
8. Road To WRESTLE PETER PAN 2022! Special Tag Match: Kazusada Higuchi & Naomi Yoshimura Vs Tetsuya Endo & Jun Akiyama
The Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere Gauntlet is back after a two and a half year absence. The match combines the Battle Royal with a Ladder match with the prize hanging above the ring. Usually there are several prizes on offer but for now DDT is saying there will be only one Gauntlet and the winner of the match is whoever retrieves it.
A new masked member of Pheromones showed up on yesterday’s show. There are guesses going around it is Michael Nakazawa because the mystery man pulled down his pants and used them to do the Ultimate Venom Arm. Pheromones are sort of denying it by saying it can’t be him because he should be doing his job in America. So either Nakazawa is getting a Pheromones style gimmick makeover or he is purposely being used as a red herring.
The new debut Takeshi Masada is having his first pro match after only three months of training. It will be the quickest amount of time any trainee has ever made their debut in DDT. The 21 year old from Osaka stands 180cm high and weighs in at 84kg. His athletic background is in both basketball and Shorinji Kempo.

8. DDT Universal Title: Masahiro Takanashi (c) Vs Yuki Ueno
9. KO-D Openweight Title: Kazusada Higuchi (c) Vs Tetsuya Endo
Now that Tetsuya Endo has recovered 100%, he is ready to give back to the fans for their support by reclaiming the KO-D Openweight Title. It is a match Kazusada Higuchi wanted more than anything else too.
No matter who came out of the DDT Universal Title match yesterday, Yuki Ueno is getting the next shot anyway. Yusuke Okada originally brought him up as the next challenger if he became champion. Masahiro Takanashi kept the belt instead but liked the idea enough to do the same. Takanashi’s reason though is because he is looking for challengers from the younger generation and Ueno may very well be the absolute best out of all of them. If Takanashi beats him then he will start looking outside of DDT for more young challengers.

*VENIMAO fail in V1. Harimao become the 75th KO-D Tag Team Champions!

The new wind blowing through DDT now has a name. Kazusada Higuchi & Naomi Yoshimura started off the show announcing their tag team from this point forward will be called Harimao. In the main event they went on to beat MAO & Asuka to capture the KO-D Tag Team Titles! MAO wasn’t pleased to hear they came up with a name that sounds similar to his own, so he retroactively named his team with Asuka VENIMAO. The champions didn’t give up easily. They hit Higuchi with the Doomsday Shiranui only for Yoshimura to break the count. Harimao recovered to give Asuka an Assisted Razor’s Edge. Higuchi then grabbed MAO to do the Brain Claw Slam for the victory. The title change means Higuchi is now a double crown champion! He thanked MAO & Asuka after the match for taking Harimao’s challenge on short notice.

Higuchi then turned his attention to “WRESTLE PETER PAN 2022” on 20th August. He knows he is going to defend the KO-D Openweight Title on the show but does not have an opponent yet. He will change that now because he wants to nominate Tetsuya Endo as his challenger! Endo came out and said he is grateful to Higuchi for carrying DDT in his absence along with everyone else in the company. Today Endo got back on his feet with his return match and wants to repay everyone for their support by returning to the top and becoming KO-D Champion again. He turned down Higuchi’s nomination but only so he can be the one to throw out the challenge instead. It will be Higuchi Vs Endo for the KO-D Title at Ota Ward Gymnasium!

A leg injury may have cost Yusuke Okada his only chance to win the DDT Universal Title. He hurt his leg early in the match and Masahiro Takanashi decided to target it from that point on. Takanashi bending the rules by physcially getting the referee in the way stopped Okada from building up any momentum. He finally got back on track but Takanashi avoided the Sudden Death, stunned Okada with a Super Kick and pinned him with the Takatonic. The audience showed their appreciation to Okada after the match but it seems like Takanashi is done with him and moving on. He is taking Okada’s idea of nominating Yuki Ueno as the next challenger. Ueno was not at the show due to having covid but he when he recovers he will get the title shot at “WRESTLE PETER PAN 2022”. Takanashi thinks that out of all of the new generation wrestlers in DDT, Ueno may be the one and is a can’t miss opponent. If Takanashi can beat him then he will start to look outside of DDT for young wrestlers to defend the Universal Title against.

Endo’s return from his concussion was as part of a 6-Man Tag Match. He was supposed to be in full on BURNING trio with Jun Akiyama & Yuya Koroku but Koroku was a close contact suspect and pulled off the show. Chris Brookes replaced him and had no problems with being part of the team. Any worries about the state of Endo’s health went away after HARASHIMA slapped him across the head and Endo kept fighting. Soma Takao quickly congratulated Endo on his return while hitting his moves on him. Endo turned the tables by countering the Gin And Tonic with the Tetsuya In The Sky. A Torture Rack Bomb only got a 2 count so Endo went for the Burning Star Press to complete his comeback with a win. Endo said today was the happiest he felt since his debut match because when you get into the ring there is no guarantee you will get out of it in one piece. He will no longer apologise to the fans for what happened to him, instead he will tell them “thank you” for their support. Akiyama’s advice to him is he can turn what happened into an opportunity and then do his best with it. Even Endo’s opponents were positive over his return. Yukio Sakaguchi said there is no shame if Endo was fighting with himself over how far he fell because the only direction to go next is to climb up.

More covid problems affected the card. DAMNATION T.A was supposed to defend the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles against The 37KAMIINA but that was cancelled because Ueno and Toi Kojima were both absent. Shunma Katsumata is still here but now his tag team partners are Shinya Aoki and El Unicorn. The latter in particular was unexpectedly targeted by Daisuke Sasaki while MJ Paul & KANON dealt with the the others. Sasaki’s attempts to get a fall on Unicorn kept getting cut off so he ended up losing his temper and unmasked Unicorn for the disqualification! Backstage Unicorn demanded a match with Sasaki. Meanwhile Sasaki made a similar challenge but wants to take it one step further. His idea is to face El Unicorn in a Mask Vs Hair match, Mascara Contra Cabellera!

Just when you think Pheromones are all out of surprises, they pull another one out of their hats. Sanshiro Takagi thought he had them on the ropes after his involvement in getting Yuki Iino to lose the DDT Extreme Title. Today his plan was to destroy them once and for all with help from Toru Owashi & Gota Ihashi. Instead a masked man in a shirt and underwear ran out during the match. He then took off his underwear, wore it over his hand and gave Ihashi the Ultimate Venom Arm. Iino took over by putting Ihashi in the Ketsugoye until Ihashi gave up. Danshoku Dieno told everyone that Pheromones now has a new member. He may remind everyone of Michael Nakazawa but according to Dieno it may not be him! The masked man’s identity will remain a mystery for now until 14th August when he will be revealed for all to see.

A scheduled 3 Way Tag Match turned into a 2 Vs 3 Handicap Match because of covid related absences. Yuji Hino & Yukio Naya were almost unmovable objects for Antonio Honda, Saki Akai & Ilusion to try and topple. Honda warned Ilusion not to get Chopped by Hino only to get Chopped himself. Akai tried to give Hino the Quetzalcoatl but he wouldn’t budge due to the massive size difference. Gongistune was the only move effective against the heavyweights but even that couldn’t stop Naya from submitting Honda for the win.

Endo was not the only wrestler returning from injury on this show. Makoto Oishi was out for a year with a hip injury and today was going to be the next chapter of his wrestling career. He was teaming with Kazuki Hirata and their opponents were meant to be Akito & Yuki Ishida. However Ishida was pulled off the show and replaced with Yasu Urano. Oishi made his big entrance with a brand new look but by the time he made it to the ring, Urano had already won the match by pinning Hirata with a Roll Up. Hisaya Imabayashi demanded an immediate rematch for Oishi’s sake. The same thing happened only this time Oishi broke the pin so the match could continue. It went on as normal until the ending when Oishi climbed the top rope wanting to do a cool move only to see Akito put Hirata in an Anklelock to win the match. Oishi stayed still on the top rope and had a microphone handed to him. He said he was able to come back thanks to everyone’s support. He wants to carry DDT on his shoulders and made it his goal to win a championship.

Right before the summer began, DDT introduced five new trainees under their development system. Imabayashi announced that one of them is about to make their pro debut! Takeshi Masada will take on HARASHIMA on 14th August in his first match after only three months of training. It will be the quickest pro wrestling debut in DDT history. Masada is 21 years old, from Osaka and has a background in basketball and Shorinji Kempo.

The Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere Battle Royal will be return on 14th August.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “TOKYO PRINCESS CUP”, 23/07/2022
Shinjuku FACE
202 Fans
-. Tokyo Princess Cup – Round 2: Shoko Nakajima defeated Mizuki by Forfeit.
1. Moka Miyamoto defeated Arisu Endo with the Rashomon (9:39).
2. Hikari Noa & Nao Kakuta defeated Hyper Misao & Kaya Toribami when Kakuta pinned Toribami with the Shiden Kai (8:22).
3. Mahiro Kiryu defeated Haruna Neko with the Spinebuster (6:42).
4. Maki Itoh & Yuki Kamifuku defeated Yuki Aino & Raku when Itoh submitted Raku with the Itoh Deluxe (9:55).
5. Shoko Nakajima & Yuka Sakazaki defeated Rika Tatsumi & Miu Watanabe when Nakajima pinned Watanabe with the Northern Lights Suplex (19:23).
6. Tokyo Princess Cup – Round 2: Suzume defeated Pom Harajuku with the Ring A Bell (9:29).
Unexpected changes can sometimes lead to new opportunities opening up. The main event of the show was supposed to be Shoko Nakajima Vs Mizuki but a fever took Mizuki off the show and out of the Tokyo Princess Cup. Her PCR test has since come back negative but she is still feeling ill and unable to wrestle. However that match getting scratched meant Suzume and Pom Harajuku was bumped up to the main event so it was up to them to step up to the challenge.
Harajuku teased Suzume early in the match by attacking her with a butterfly net outside the ring. Suzume tried fighting back and was cut off with the Pom de Justice over the second rope onto the ring apron. Suzume made another comeback by hitting the Mikazuki Meteor Shower (Diving Cross Body) but Harajuku stopped her momentum again. This time Harajuku climbed the ropes until Suzume dropped her to the canvas with a Facebuster. She then quickly hit the Ring A Bell to get the win and advance in the tournament. After the match Suzume declared this will be the summer when she surpasses Rika Tatsumi! And guess what? Those two will face each other in the Quarter Final!
Nakajima was given an automatic bye into the Quarter Final because of Mizuki’s withdrawal from the tournament. She takes on Miu Watanabe in the next round. To give everyone a preview, today’s replacement for the cancelled match was Miraclians Vs Daydream! All four women involved are in the Quarter Finals so nobody wanted to give up a fall. Nakajima fired the big warning shot by pinning Watanabe with the Northern Lights Suplex. She said afterwards that Mizuki is probably more disappointed over their match being cancelled than she is. Nakajima thinks she has to beat Mizuki if she wants to call herself the best wrestler in Tokyo Joshi Pro. Watanabe’s goal of surpassing her seniors this summer has already taken a blow. She wants to do her best to beat Nakajima and hopes the other wrestlers from her generation or younger will work just as hard.
Yesterday was Maki Itoh’s birthday so Raku sang “Happy Birthday” to her at the start of their match. It was actually a trap so Raku could send Itoh to sleep with al lullaby. Itoh got payback thanks to some help from Yuki Kamifuku. They gave Raku a double team DDT & Headscissor combo then Itoh submitted her with the Itoh Deluxe. It’s a tag team combo that might come in handy for MakiYuki Happy in the future.
Moka Miyamoto celebrated the 2nd Anniversary of her debut match by beating Arisu Endo in the opener.
The complete Tokyo Princess Cup Quarter Finals on 31st July are Miu Watanabe Vs Shoko Nakajima, Nao Kakuta Vs Miyu Yamashita, Yuka Sakazaki Vs Hikari Noa and Rika Tatsumi Vs Suzume.

DDT “ROJO PRO WRESTLING IN HANDMADE IN JAPAN FES 2022”, 23/07/2022
Tokyo Big Sight West Hall 1 & 2
??? Fans – Unannounced
1. Falls Count Anywhere Match 4 Way Match: MAO defeated Sanshiro Takagi, Yukio Naya and Yuya Koroku when MAO pinned Koroku with a Package Piledriver through a Table (22:47).

The originally planned Falls Count Anywhere match was supposed to be a 3 Way Tag. However Toi Kojima tested positive for covid and the match was changed to a 4 Way on the day. Sanshiro Takagi, MAO, Yukio Naya and Yuya Koroku were the participants involved with Yuki Ishida being left out. They did chain grappling on the stage until the match moved around the area. MAO and Koroku climbed up a blue sphere where MAO applied an Octopus Hold. Naya then gave Koroku a Giant Swing, knocking Takagi out of the way while MAO hopped over the swing for as long as he could. MAO climed up a nearby vending machine and Moonsaulted off of it onto everyone below. Koroku got some revenge by bringing out the Dramatic Dream bike and running over Takagi with him. He tried to run over Naya but missed and crashed into a castle of table and chairs. Naya gave Takagi a Choke Slam onto the chairs. But it was MAO who ended up winning by putting Koroku through the table with a Package Piledriver.
