GANBARE☆JOSHI “GANJO SUPER DARIUS ’24”, 09/03/2024 Tokyo Takashimadaira Kumin Center 111 Fans
1. Kaho Kobayashi defeated Banny Oikawa with the 120% School Boy (9:53).
2. Mixed Tag Match: Alex Lee & Tyson Maeguchi defeated Riara & Shota when Lee pinned Riara with the Vinco Plex (16:40).
3. Sumire Natsu defeated Yoshiko Hasegawa with the Yoran (12:54).
4. GanJo Vs Marvelous: Takumi Iroha & Mio Momono defeated Yuna Manase & YuuRI when Momono pinned YuuRI with the German Suplex (19:48).
An inter-promotional rivaly between Ganbare☆Joshi and Marvelous appears to be growing. At the previous GanJo show Mio Momono beat YuuRI. Since then Momono has been going around claiming she is the main representative of GanJo. Both YuuRI & the returning Yuna Manase weren’t going to take the disrespect lying down and agreed to team up as Nippon Ganbare☆Union again to get revenge. Momono called in Takumi Iroha to make it a two on two battle. The Marvelous team ended up standing tall again with Iroha taking Manase out of the ring so Momono could put YuuRI down for the second show in a row.
After the match Momono again called herself the representative of GanJo and claimed she successfully defended that title today. She put aside the jokes in order to thank Manase & YuuRI for the invitation to wrestle on today’s show. Iroha then teased YuuRI for all of the mistakes she made during the match. She does her best but also hasn’t been training hard enough, which hasn’t changed from when the two of them practiced together as rookies. Manase accepts that Momono now calls herself a GanJo wrestler because the title does not have to belong to just a select few wrestlers. However YuuRI promised to beat Momono to reclaim that spot and also replace her as the top Marvelous representative! Iroha said she will be waiting for GanJo and Ganbare☆Pro to come visit Marvelous in the future.
Sumire Natsu gave Yoshiko Hasegawa advice after their match on how to handle life as a freelance pro wrestler. When Natsu became a freelancer seven years ago she was anxious about whether she could survive in the industry. When Hasegawa turns freelance in April that means they will become business rivals! They will be fighting for the same small seat at the table so they have to do their best to beat the crap out of each other. As long as Hasegawa does not steal that seat from Natsu she will be happy to work together with her. She told Hasegawa she is now responsible for managing her own schedule and merchandise. She also told her the secret about what to do whenever a promoter she does not know puts on a show but that was for Yoppy’s ears only.
The mixed tag match begun with a tribute to the late Akira Toriyama when both teams got into a Kamehameha duel across the ring. The match almost came to a quick end after Riara took Low Kicks from Tyson Maeguchi and was almost counted out for a KO. She recovered and gave Alex Lee a Dropkick to continue fighting. Shota started using Riara as a weapon by Body Slamming her onto Maeguchi. He then tried to repeat the spot with a Suplex but this time Maeguchi rolled out of the way. The other team had their own problems when Lee accidentally hit Maeguchi with a Missile Dropkick. However she got her hands on Riara again and pinned her with the Vinco Plex for the win.
Banny Oikawa almost got to beat Kaho Kobayashi with a European Clutch. Kobayashi kicked out and then stunned her opponent with a Right High Kick. From there she used the 120% School Boy for the three count.
BASARA “BASARA 243 ~TAKAGARI 23~”, 09/03/2024 Tokyo Takashimadaira Kumin Center ??? Fans – Unannounced
1. SAGAT defeated Munetatsu Nakamura with the Goregrind (8:27).
2. KUBITO & Yasu Urano defeated Gouma Ryu & Banana Senga when KUBITO submitted Ryu with a Crossface Lock (7:24).
3. Tsutomu Oosugi defeated Daichi Kazato with the Tsuki no Ishi (12:42).
4. Masato Kamino & Chicharito Shoki defeated Takumi Tsukamoto & Judomaster when Kamino pinned Judomaster with the Lariat (14:54).
5. Isami Kodaka, Ryuichi Sekine & Minoru Fujita defeated FUMA, Ryota Nakatsu & Fuminori Abe when Kodaka pinned Nakatsu with a Vertical Drop Brainbuster (18:52).
2024 could be the year Sento Minzoku is back on top of the BASARA mountain. Minoru Fujita is currently the Union MAX Champion and the result of today’s main event could lead to the Iron Fist Tag Team Titles coming back to him too. Isami Kodaka pinned Ryota Nakatsu to win the match and told Fujita he wants the two of them to challenge Harimao for the titles. Nakatsu complained that Fujita shouldn’t have to be Kodaka’s partner and Ryuichi Sekine should do it instead. However he eventually agreed to put the belts on the line against Fujita & Kodaka. Kazusada Higuchi’s next BASARA appearance is on 19th March but Fujita is already defending the Union MAX Title on 19th March on that show. He refuses to wrestle twice, especially if it is in two championship matches back to back. They all think Higuchi will be available to wrestle in BASARA again on 20th April so they will do the title match there unless they got Higuchi’s schedule wrong.
Sekine announced he will be back to wrestling on a regular schedule with BASARA starting from next month. He made it a goal to work his way into becoming a champion again.
Yesterday BASARA reported that Takato Nakano had a fever but tested negative for covid. They decided to pull him from the show as a precaution and brought in Chicharito Shoki to replace him. If that wasn’t enough, it was announced that the love sickness Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi is suffering from has gotten worse so he couldn’t wrestle today either. The masked Judomaster was suspiciously in the venue again to take his place for the second show in a row. He seemed to have a better understanding of pro wrestling this time but still lost to Masato Kamino.
Today is the first time Gouma Ryu wrestled in Takashimadaira Kumin Center for a BASARA show. He thought he was taking part in another Pro Wrestling Trial but Banana Senga forgot to bring his outfit. They held a court session arguing whether or not injuring your opponent in a pro wrestling match should be a crime. They told KUBITO and Yasu Urano to wrestle each other in order to provide evidence. None of their actions injured either of them so the referee/judge declared them Not Guilty. Ryu did not accept the result and convinced Senga to fight the other two. KUBITO & Urano quickly beat them.

DDT “JUDGEMENT 2024 TOUR IN SHINJUKU”, 06/03/2024 Shinjuku FACE 303 Fans – No Vacancy
1. To-y & Yuni defeated Chris Brookes & Ilusion when To-y pinned Ilusion with the Kojima Impact (7:58).
2. Special Tag Match: Makoto Oishi & Shishamo Power defeated Yoshitatsu & Antonio Honda when Power pinned Honda with the Shishamo Of Yamada (9:17).
3. Kazuki Hirata Debut 14th Anniversary Vol. 1 ~ Are You Serious!? Seal Your Opponent’s Technique Death Match!!: Kazuki Hirata defeated Danshoku Dieno by Disqualification (9:29).
4. Jun Akiyama, Kazusada Higuchi & Soma Takao defeated Daisuke Sasaki, KANON & MJ Paul when Higuchi pinned Paul with the Brain Claw Press (10:56).
5. Special 6-Man Tag Match ~ DDT Vs AJPW: Ryuki Honda, Yuma Anzai & Ryo Inoue defeated Tetsuya Endo, Yuki Iino & Tomomitsu Matsunaga when Honda pinned Matsunaga with the Final Vent (17:51).
6. Road To Judgement 2024! Special 6-Man Tag Match: Yuki Ueno, MAO & Shunma Katsumata defeated HARASHIMA, Takeshi Masada & Hideki Okatani by Referee Stoppage when Ueno used the Dojime Sleeper Hold on HARASHIMA (18:31).
It turns out getting back to good condition again isn’t worth much when that energy can get choked out of you afterwards. Yuki Ueno scored a major fall over HARASHIMA by strangling him with the Dojime Sleeper Hold until the main event was stopped by the referee. The finish came when Ueno countered the Somato by catching HARASHIMA mid-sprint and spinning it into the Sleeper. MAO and Takeshi Masada also got time to wrestle each other while Shunma Katsumata dug some skewers into Hideki Okatani’s head. MAO talked about how strong The 37KAMIINA are after the win. He thinks Masada is better off being an influencer on social media instead of a wrestler. The DDT Universal Title MAO carries also holds the last three years of his hardships so Masada won’t take the belt from him so easily. Katsumata wanted to call out Okatani but admitted he doesn’t really have anything to say to him. Ueno said everyone in DDT is proud of HARASHIMA’s greatness but he does not want DDT to turn 180 degrees in the other direction if HARASHIMA wins the KO-D Openweight Title from him. The 37KAMIINA don’t want to remain the same and as champions they will continue to make DDT more interesting.
In the warm-up for the KO-D Tag Team Titles match coming up later this month, the All Japan team beat the DDT team. New Period along with Ryo Inoue on their side defeated BURNING and Tomomitsu Matsunaga (in as a last minute substitute for Rukiya). Ryuki Honda got to choke his opponents on the ropes and count along with the referee’s five second warning. He and Yuma Anzai also taunted Yuki Iino by making fun of BURNING whenever the opportunity allowed them to. Iino’s temper got the best of him and he ended up accidentally hitting Tetsuya Endo with a missed attack. New Period turned their attention to Matsunaga but Anzai still found spots to give Endo a German Suplex and then hit Iino with a Jumping Knee. With them out of the way, Honda was free to pin Matsunaga with the Final Vent. New Period celebrated a complete victory for AJPW over DDT and said the same result will happen on 17th March when they become the new KO-D Tag Champions! Iino told them they are not BURNING, he and Endo is. Endo promised to win because the titles are proof he is part of the best tag team in DDT.
A special rule was applied via lottery for Kazuki Hirata’s match against Danshoku Dieno. There were seven different options hidden in envelopes and the one chosen before the show began forced the wrestlers to seal their own techniques for the match. That means Hirata was prohibited from dancing while Dieno was not allowed to do anything “Danshoku” like. It made both of them trying to break old habits while tempting each other to fall for their own tricks. Makoto Oishi walked out to Hirata’s music wearing Hirata’s entrance robe, tempting Hirata around ringside to dance with him. Yukinori Matsui got caught in the action. He was knocked out after taking the Tegatana strike to the neck from Hirata and the Lip Lock from Dieno, both by mistake. Without the referee around, Hirata took out his GO! glasses and Dieno behaved like his old self. Matsui woke up to see Dieno dry humping his opponent and called for the bell to disqualfy him. Dieno said the result doesn’t mean much as a preview for the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles match because he wasn’t pinned or submitted. Meanwhile Hirata only learned afterwards that if Zuncha♪Muscle Survivor loses the title match on 17th March then they will disband. However when he heard that Naruki Doi came up with the stipulation, he thought it meant that Doi values the unit so much he is willing to put it all on the line to win the titles! Hirata is now motivated to put in 200% effort so he, Doi & Shinya Aoki can become the new champions and stick together as a team.
The return of the seafood loving pro wrestler Shishamo Power went from a happy story to a sad one when Oishi turned on him after their match. For you see, Oishi hates seafood and thinks chicken is much tastier! He continued to attack Power until Chris Brookes entered the ring. Brookes then joined in the attack because he hates seafood too! Suddenly Unagi Mask made his return to DDT in order to rescue his fellow masked ally. The two agreed to team up for an all out battle against the chicken meat lovers at the DDT show sponsored by Yamada Suisan on 14th April.
A press conference was held for Katsumata and Okatani before the show began. Katsumata announced the DDT Extreme Title bout on 17th March is going to be a Painful Jungle Death Match! Each corner of the ring is going to have something attached to it in order to make it more painful when wrestlers are thrown into it. With all four corners covered like this as well as death match weapons being placed around the canvas it will turn the ring into a jungle! Katsumata did not reveal what any of the weapons or material are and teased everyone to use their imagination. Okatani promised the match will be a hot and bloody battle even though he can’t figure out what Katsumata has up his sleeve.

With Yoshiko Hasegawa and Riara both leaving GanPro soon they get a chance to wrestle each other while still part of the Ganbare☆Joshi division.

2. Aja Kong & Max The Impaler Vs Shoko Nakajima & Hyper Misao
3. Special Single Match: Minoru Suzuki Vs Maki Itoh
4. International Princess Title: Yuki Arai (c) Vs Yuki Kamifuku
5. Princess Tag Team Titles: Ryo Mizunami & Yuki Aino (c) Vs Suzume & Arisu Endo
6. Princess Of Princess Title: Miyu Yamashita (c) Vs Miu Watanabe
So let’s get this straight. Yuka Sakazaki graduated from TJPW in December, hasn’t wrestled a match anywhere else since for whatever reason and is now going to make a special appearance to compete at “GRAND PRINCESS ’24”? Yeah, beats me what’s going on or what she will do there. Mizuki wants to team with her again and is scared over the idea it won’t happen. Sakazaki helped train Juria Nagano so she can say goodbye to her there. What if Sakazaki wants to get in the ring with Masha Slamovich again? Or maybe she wants to fight Andreza Giant Panda while she still has the chance.
DDT “NARAHA TOWN RESIDENT WRESTLER TOY KOJIMA THANKSGIVING DAY – NARAHA TOWN COME ON!”, 03/03/2024 Fukushima Naraha Sky Arena 820 Fans – Super No Vacancy
1. Tetsuya Endo & Yuki Iino defeated Kazuki Hirata & Tomomitsu Matsunaga when Iino pinned Hirata with the Spear (13:19).
2. Chris Brookes & Yuzutaro defeated Sanshiro Takagi & Danshoku Dieno when Yuzutaro pinned Dieno with the Yuzu Death Drop (9:09).
3. Daisuke Sasaki & KANON defeated Akito & Ilusion when KANON pinned Ilusion with the Sleepy Hollow (12:53).
4. Special Tag Match: HARASHIMA & Jun Akiyama defeated Yuki Ueno & Soma Takao when HARASHIMA pinned Takao with the Somato (12:49).
5. Special 6-Man Tag Match: MAO, Shunma Katsumata & Toy Kojima defeated Kazusada Higuchi, Makoto Oishi & Hideki Okatani when Kojima pinned Oishi with the Kojima Impact (21:28).
The local hero To-y is still going by the name Toy Kojima in his hometown for reasons related to him being an unofficial ambassador for Naraha Town until the end of this fiscal year (i.e. end of March). Today’s show was free to attend and it led to a bigger audience than DDT expected so extra seating sections in the venue were opened up. To mark the big day, Kojima used a brand new finisher to win in the main event. The Kojima Impact is a modified version of the F5. He tearfully thanked the fans after the match and said the story of both Toy Kojima and Naraha Town is only beginning from here! He now hopes DDT will return for another show next year.
HARASHIMA is now back in great shape after missing last week’s show by having covid. Plus he got to win again right in front of Yuki Ueno. However HARASHIMA is always in great shape so Ueno is not letting that get to him. He said it won’t be the reason why HARASHIMA can beat him for the KO-D Openweight Title in two weeks time. It will be up to Ueno to change and be ready to beat his latest challenger.
There was another change to the card on short notice because Takeshi Masada became the latest wrestler to have fever symptoms and had to miss the show as a precaution. It was decided that the Naraha Town mascot Yuzutaro would be his replacement. Thanks to some help from Chris Brookes, the two of them went on to beat Sanshiro Takagi & Danshoku Dieno. Takagi had his face shoved into Dieno’s backside, Brookes then gave Dieno a Lip Lock and the Praying Mantis Bomb. The finish came down to Yuzutaro pinning Dieno with the Yuzu Death Drop Senton. You’re correct to assume something doesn’t seem right about what happened. Brookes usually hates mascots. He was able to put that aside for a while but once the match ended, he challenged Yuzutaro to a singles match the next time DDT comes to Naraha. Now that’s more like him.
TOKYO JOSHI PRO “TJPW LIVE TOUR 2024 SPRING”, 03/03/2024 Shinjuku FACE 370 Fans – Super No Vacancy
1. Kira Summer Debut Match: Arisu Endo & Chika Nanase defeated Nao Kakuta & Kira Summer when Endo submitted Summer with the Camel Clutch (8:07).
2. Uta Takami Debut Match: Raku & Shino Suzuki defeated Miu Watanabe & Uta Takami when Raku submitted Takami with the Front Neck Lock (9:21).
3. 3 Way Match: Suzume defeated Mahiro Kiryu and Kaya Toribami when Suzume pinned Toribami with the Ring A Bell (8:49).
4. Shoko Nakajima & Hyper Misao defeated Yuki Kamifuku & Pom Harajuku when Misao pinned Harajuku with the Hypami Returns (12:04).
5. Rika Tatsumi defeated Haru Kazashiro with the Twist Of Fate (8:53).
6. Miyu Yamashita & Moka Miyamoto defeated Wakana Uehara & Toga when Yamashita pinned Toga with the Attitude Adjustment (12:08).
7. Ryo Mizunami & Yuki Aino defeated Mizuki & HIMAWARI when Aino pinned HIMAWARI with the Venus DDT (15:58).
The main event was a chance for Yukiniki to deliver their sharpest performance as a tag team so far. Ryo Mizunami & Yuki Aino came up with a lot of team work to win. They used a Double STO to get rid of Mizuki and then focused on isolating HIMAWARI. It ended with Aino pinning her with the Venus DDT. Afterwards Mizunami said today was their last warm up match as a team before they defend the Princess Tag Team Titles at Sumo Hall on 31st March. Another reason for her excitement is because today is Hinamatsuri Day! Aino said they are going to keep on burning all the way to Sumo Hall.
This week is the one year anniversary of Toga’s debut match against Miyu Yamashita so they were opponents again for a tag match today. She was able to rope break out of the Modified Cobra Clutch and knock down Yamashita with the Elbow Butt. But Yamashita stunned her with a High Kick and won with the Attitude Adjustment. Even though she lost and took the fall, Toga thinks she showed a little bit of growth against Yamashita compared to her debut.
Haru Kazashiro is also approaching the first anniversary of her own debut. She was given a first time singles match against Rika Tatsumi and understood the importance of getting to fight a former champion one on one. She fought off a Figure 4 Leg Lock attempt and used the Rolling Leg Clutch to get a nearfall. Tatsumi cut off her momentum with the Hip Attack followed by the Twist Of Fate for the win. Backstage she said it was weird that the fans were chanting “Haru” instead of “Rika”. She hopes fans will chant “Rika” next time.
One of the big matches at Sumo Hall is Kyoraku Kyomei taking on Aja Kong & Max The Impaler. As part of their preparations for the match, Shoko Nakajima & Hyper Misao wanted Pom Harajuku to reveal to them Max’s weaknesses. She promised to whisper it into their ears so nobody else could here it. Instead she screeched as loud as she could into their ears.
There were two debuts on today’s show. Uta Takami from The Up Up Girls was one of them. Her match was a tag bout involving the other currently active members of the group. She showed a little bit of agility trying to avoid Raku but was eventually caught in the Front Neck Lock, leading to her giving up. Raku said the match was also an important one for Shino Suzuki because it was a chance for her to show how strong she has become too. Miu Watanabe congratulated Takami for a successful debut. When asked what kind of wrestler she wants to be, Takami said she doesn’t know because there is not a lot she can do right now. But she will do her best and give it her all so she can eventually do everything!
The other debut was for TJPW’s first ever foreign wrestler coming out of their training system. Kira Summer is from Australia. She showed power by giving Chika Nanase a Body Slam that Nanase later claimed felt like all her internal organs were about to burst out of her body. However Summer found herself in danger against Arisu Endo with no help for her thanks to Nanase Shoulder Blocking Nao Kakuta out of the way. Endo picked up the win after making Summer submit to the Camel Clutch. Summer thought she was ready but admits her opponents were surprisingly difficult. She’ll need to practice more to face them properly.
At the start of the show it was announced that Yuka Sakazaki will make a special one-off appearance at “GRAND PRINCESS ’24”! I’m just as puzzled at this news as you are. She is being advertised on the show as an AEW wrestler but the weird thing is she hasn’t appeared in AEW, ROH or anywhere else since graduating from Tokyo Joshi Pro last December. When Mizuki heard the news she said she is looking forward to reuniting The Magical Sugar Rabbits again. However she was then told by a reporter that Sakazaki’s match has not been announced yet. Mizuki told the reporter not to say scary things like that. She is now anxiously awaiting for the full card announcement to find out if she and Sakazaki will be together in the ring again.
The former AKB48 idol Ami Yumoto introduced herself to the fans at the beginning of the show. She will have her debut match at Sumo Hall but today is in fact the first time she’s attending a TJPW show. It was also the first time she got to see her upcoming tag partner Nao Kakuta wrestle in person.
Yuki Kamifuku is getting a homecoming show at Shonandai Cultural Center in Fujisawa City on 25th May.
Runa Okubo was at the show. She announced she had passed her high school entrance exams and was accepted into her first choice of school. She will return to wrestle in TJPW again starting from 16th March. Her first priority is to catch up to Haru Kazashiro’s level.

GCW/TOKYO JOSHI PRO “GCW VS TJPW”, 06/04/2024 Penns Landing Caterers Auditorium, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
The GCW side has been revealed. Their lineup is Masha Slamovich, Rina Yamashita, Steph De Lander, Dark Sheik, Billie Starkz, Sawyer Wreck, Janai Kai, Allie Katch, Shazza McKenzie and Session Moth Martina. All of these women have either wrestled in Tokyo Joshi Pro before or have often been in the ring with Miyu Yamashita and Maki Itoh during their tours abroad.
I can feel it in the air, the road towards Wrestlemania Week has begun. There’s not too much to talk about what happened in February but the announcements for what’s going down in Philadelphia this April are beginning to drip out. Konosuke Takeshita is getting set to be the welcoming party for AEW’s newest big signing, Miyu Yamashita has another American tour on the way and Maki Itoh is back in action with a return to GCW coming very soon. That’s not all, Mizuki Watase is going to be in Philly that week and is currently looking for bookings. I hope he gets some because the few matches he was able to do last year I thought got him over in the venues. His problem seems to be a lack of international coverage for his body of work in Japan. You have to see him in action to get him.
The other story of the month is MAO and Yoshihiko’s European tour. They kept it short and sweet with only two bookings in a weekend but it seems to have done wonders for MAO. He’s been booming with confidence ever since and it shows with his recent DDT performances. I can’t put my finger on what exactly made him improve lately but he has put it all together in a complete package that makes him stand out. He is his own wrestler that is able to make his style adapt to his opponent and the environment they are in. He did good with the American indies last year and I would love to see him break out even higher on the scene in 2024.

BZW “X”, 03/02/2024 Salle Jacques Brel, Faches-Thumesnil, France
1. MAO & Yoshihiko defeated MBM & Ultima Sombra (?:??).
The European trip started out in France where MAO & Yoshihiko defeated Rivality in BZW. I think the promotion was originally called BodyZoi Wrestling but then changed their name to Banger Zone Wrestling. Anyway Yoshihiko ended up needing a neck brace after it was put through a table. It got its own back by giving both MBM & Ultima Sombra a Double Low Blow and a Double Choke Slam.
TNT EXTREME “MERSEYSIDE MASSACRE”, 04/02/2024 Hanger34, Liverpool, England
1. Fatal 4 Way: Yoshihiko defeated Jordan Oliver, Leon Slater and MAO (?:??).
The next night MAO and Yoshihiko made it to England for a TNT Extreme show. They weren’t teaming together this time. Instead they were opponents along with Jordan Oliver and Leon Slater in a Fatal 4 Way match. Neither of them escaped the match unscathed. Yoshihiko was thrown from the ring into the balcony only to dive out of there onto everyone back in the ring! It ended up winning the match but still needed medical help over concerns it suffered a concussion. MAO got a medical check-up too but he was fine as long as he got some beer.
AEW “DYNAMITE”, 07/02/2024 Footprint Center, Phoenix, Arizona, USA
1. Konosuke Takeshita (w/ Don Callis) defeated Chris Jericho with the Walls Of Takeshita (13:51).
Takeshita got his win back from Chris Jericho in a rematch from DDT “ULTIMATE PARTY 2023” last November. This time Takeshita had counters for a lot of Jericho’s moves. He avoided the Walls Of Jericho and after some struggle repositioned himself to Wheelbarrow Suplex his opponent. He stopped Jericho from doing the Lionsault, grabbing him from the ropes to do a Blue Thunder Bomb instead. He also avoided a top rope Frankensteiner to do a Super Blue Thunder Bomb too! Jericho finally caught Takeshita in the Walls Of Jericho but that was when Don Callis came into play. He slid a chair into the ring to distract the ref and then hit Jericho in the head with a screwdriver. Takeshita took advantage by putting Jericho in the Walls Of Takeshita, dragging him into the middle of the ring to make him tap out!
WEST COAST PRO “UNDER THE BRIDGE”, 18/02/2024 Don Quixote Event Center, Los Angeles, California, USA
1. Chris Hero, Konosuke Takeshita & Titus Alexander defeated Adrian Quest, Danny Rose & Ricky Gee (20:56).
A match between Chris Hero and Adrian Quest over at West Coast Pro ended in a No Contest when Danny Rose & Ricky Gee interfered and attacked Hero. Titus Alexander came to Hero’s aid but the numbers game by Quest and Los Suavecitos eventually overwhelmed them. Who would come out to the rescue but Konosuke Takeshita! After he cleared the ring with Elbow Strikes an impromptu 6-Man Tag Match broke out. After the match Hero told a story back from around 2007 about him going to see an Osaka Pro show during a tour with NOAH. He wanted to take a tour of the venue but wasn’t allowed do it by himself. So a 10 year old Takeshita had to chaperone him around the building!
AEW “COLLISION”, 24/02/2024 Great Southern Bank Arena, Springfield, Missouri, USA
1. Bryan Danielson defeated Jun Akiyama with the Busaiku Knee Kick (15:59).
AEW’s booking method for Bryan Danielson lately is to book him against a who’s who of the wrestling landscape. He’s been in the ring with the likes of Yuji Nagata, luchadors from CMLL and the latest one was Jun Akiyama. This match had extra spice to it because Eddie Kingston was at ringside and he admires Akiyama greatly. So of course Danielson would have some fun getting to beat up Kingston’s hero right in front of him. However Akiyama put up a big fight, clashing Knee Strike to Knee Strike. It couldn’t last though and Danielson ultimately got his hand raised in the end. He shook Akiyama’s hand after the match only to give him a Low Blow. An angry Kingston attacked Danielson which brought out Claudio Castagnoli and then FTR for a little brawl before things calmed down.
