6. J-Rod & Miu Watanabe defeated Yuki Arai & Wakana Uehara when J-Rod pinned Uehara with the Ultimate Spear (13:05).

Tokyo Joshi Pro’s debut weekend in Canada got off to a hot start with a sold out crowd attending the show that Sayuri Namba helped put together. In the main event, J-Rod teamed up with her previous rival Miu Watanabe as to form a powerhouse tag team for Yuki Arai & Wakana Uehara to try and overcome. They came close by trapping their opponents in their signature submissions at the same time but it didn’t last. Watanabe intercepted Arai with a Power Slam, leaving Uehara vulnerable to get pinned by J-Rod’s Ultimate Spear. After the match J-Rod called herself and Watanabe the Muscle Sisters. Backstage Arai said she will do her best for tomorrow’s match and also for the Princess Of Princess Title bout in Las Vegas next week.

It was a rough day in the ring for HIMAWARI. She wrestled twice today, also appearing on the Mystery Wrestling show that was held in the same venue. On both shows she lost her matches to Nicole Matthews. Here, Matthews called the tag a rehearsal for tomorrow’s rubber match against Miyu Yamashita where they are currently 1-1 against each other. Liiza Hall is also betting on having the momentum to win her match tomorrow too.

Hikari Noa Returning To Wrestling

April 11, 2026

“UNAGI KABUKI 3RD ANNIVERSARY -MORE CRAZY THAN THREE MEALS A DAY-”, 21/06/2026
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

Earlier today Sayaka Unagi held a press conference to promote her upcoming independent show scheduled for Korakuen Hall on 21st June. That specific date is important to her because on 21st June, 2023 she established her own company Unagi Kabuki. It was created in order for Unagi to promote her own events without running a full scale promotion or be bound to any particular style of pro wrestling. So the date means this show is going to be held on the company’s 3rd Anniversary. She’s been thinking for months about who she wanted to wrestle with at this show and was here to reveal who that person will be.

It is Hikari Noa! The former Tokyo Joshi Pro wrestler and member of The Up Up Girls (Pro Wrestling) left the industry under a haze of rumours in 2024 both personal and professional mashed together. Unagi said she always wanted to be in the ring with Noa again and it looked like it would never happen because both of them left their home companies at different times. But she worked hard towards making it happen and the two will team up together against opponents yet to be decided. Hikari Noa’s ring name is also slightly changed, going from 乃蒼ヒカリ to ノア・ヒカリ. I thought that means her ring name would now be spelt Hikari Noah but I’ve since been told that’s not the case.

Noa gave some comments, starting off with a public apology towards everyone who supported her or were inconvenienced by the worry she caused two years ago. She also expressed her gratitude towards Unagi for giving her a place to pursue her dreams again. Unagi then told the story of how she reconnected with Noa after losing contact with her. She heard rumours online about Noa working as a spa therapist in Yokohama and found out it was true so she simply booked a reservation with her. When they reunited, Unagi gradually learned that Noa hadn’t grown to hate pro wrestling and even though the idea of someday coming back for another match sounded fun. Unagi also thought she at least deserves to end her wrestling career on her own terms so she persuaded her to do this match. Noa said she’s only just recently started paying attention to the wrestling scene again but there are many wrestlers she would love to fight. Unagi suggested there may be some wrestlers who won’t want to fight her because of her scandalous image but for now Noa is focusing on her first match back taking place on 21st June.

————————————————————————

It took a year longer than I thought it would but finally Hikari Noa is back! Or at least she is for the moment. It sounds like she wants to do this match and then decide afterwards what her future in wrestling is actually going to be. Her departure from TJPW in 2024 was a sad one. She allegedly got into a situation with a superfan friend of hers that went sour and led to some dirty laundry being aired out on social media, mainly that Noa gave the friend access to restricted information coming from the idol side of her Up Up Girls career. Her absence from wrestling was publicly presented as her taking time off for health reasons but there was always suspicion it was more like a suspension or possibly even a contract termination over it. If she decides to stick around wrestling who knows if TJPW will ever welcome her back if she wants to go there.

What a devilishly creative woman that Sayaka Unagi is. She is constantly finding ways to get attention for her endeavors and I don’t think anybody thought she would play a role in getting Hikari to return to the ring. Unfortunately this is all I’m going to write about for Hikari’s return. Unless she regularly starts showing up at one of the wrestling promotions orbiting around CyberFight and Wrestle Universe I have enough on my plate to pay attention to what she’s doing next. Still, I’m happy to at least know another chapter in her career is approaching even if it only turns out to be a brief and final one.

*V3 for Shuji Ishikawa.

The second ever Gaisen Sakura show put together by Ryuichi Sekine and his wife Nodoka Tenma brought a day of wrestling to their home of Shinjo Village in Okayama. Matches were provided by both BASARA and Tokyo Joshi Pro with Sekine taking part in a main event Union MAX Title challenge against Shuji Ishikawa. Although he wasn’t able to win the belt in front of his wife and child, Sekine promised everyone he will continue to live in the village determined to never give up.

Tenma’s sister Yuki Aino teamed up with the rest of the Tojo Tokosatsu Club to fight against Aja Kong again. She also had to dodge out of the way from a top rope smashing hammer attack from Mizuki. Mizuki had some more misfortune after that when Kong accidentally hit her over the head with the steel can that was aimed for someone else. The Club were given 10kg of A5 Grade wagyu beef as their reward for winning the match. They knew it was raining in the area yesterday and believe it went away today because Kong is really a super ultra sunshine girl.

5. KING OF DRUNK 2026 Opening Round: Chris Brookes Vs HARASHIMA Vs Kazuma Sumi Vs KANON Vs Yuki Iino Vs Rukiya ended in a No Contest (19:32).
6. Special Tag Match ~ Yuni University Entrance Commemorative Match: Shunma Katsumata & Yuni defeated Danshoku Dieno & Kazuki Hirata when Yuni pinned Hirata with an Inside Cradle (13:41).

It’s time for Yuni to be treated like a grown up now he’s in college. He was warned in the main event that Danshoku Dieno would be merciless against him. Shunma Katsumata promised to protect Yuni but Dieno immediately gave Katsumata the Lip Lock and Danshoku Driver to kick off the match. Yuni had to fight Dieno & Kazuki Hirata on his own. Katsumata recovered but then had “Danshoku Water” sprayed over him, making him suddenly target Yuni because he’s so cute! Many DDT wrestlers ran in to make the save only to also get sprayed with the water, making them all obsess over Yuni too. Even Hisaya Imabayashi got sprayed but Yuni took care of him with a Buzzsaw Kick. Hirata opened the spray and poured it into Yuni’s mouth but Yuni passed it back by giving Hirata the Lip Lock. That made Hirata turn full Danshoku and he even put on the Danshoku costume. He tried to give Yuni the Danshoku Driver but it was countered into a Small Package to give Yuni the win. Yuni still had some residue left in his mouth and accidentally swallowed it after the match. It made him obsess over Daisuke Kiso and he chased the ref out of the ring. Katsumata closed out the show and Yuni came back to chase after him too. Yuni claims he doesn’t remember anything that happened after the match ended.

This year’s Beer Garden show began with a more business like presentation with everyone wearing employee suits for the King Of Drunk match. That just meant when it was time to start drinking, all of the wrestlers decided to really get loose. Yuki Iino got so drunk he stripped down to his underwear, causing Rukiya to complain that everyone was getting too rowdy. The problem was he was so drunk he almost threw up and had to go find a restroom. One by one a wrestler would either get eliminated by pinfall or just drop out of the match entirely because they were too drunk. By the end of the match nobody was left in a good state so it had to be called off without a winner decided.

The tag team of Nautilus hasn’t been around together since October 2020. Yuki Ueno talked to Naomi Yoshimura about the nostalgia he felt when he heard their theme song again. He also thinks today’s reunion will help Yoshimura move forward again. Yoshimura said a lot has changed over the last year going back to his return from injury. He’ll do his best to keep improving.

Junta Miyawaki was so excited to take part in his first Beer Garden show. He wanted the 4 Way Match to have drinking rules so everyone could get drunk. However the other participants were all responsible and declined for various reasons, such as needing to drive a vehicle after the show. The 4 Way instead had a rule where only Miyawaki was allowed to drink whenever music interrupted the match. He got so drunk that he only won the match by accident, tripping himself on top of a knocked out Antonio Honda for the pinfall while MAO and To-y were too busy fighting each other to stop it.

There was a contract signing for the DDT Extreme Title match held before any of the matches began. During it Hideki Okatani revealed he will defend the title against Yukio Naya in a Hardcore Table Crash Death Match! It is a Hardcore match that can be won by pinfall, submission or putting your opponent through a table. The two fought in a tag match later in the show where Okatani attacked Naya with his bamboo stick while Ilusion gave Viento Maligno his first pinfall loss. Naya got some payback afterwards by Choke Slamming Okatani through a table set up at ringside. Ilusion got on the microphone next to his prone stablemate anyway and said Okatani will beat Naya on 15th April!

The pre-show press conference also had Ueno and Iino talk about their KO-D Openweight Title match. Iino explained that he is living his life to the fullest every day because he is in the prime of his life right now. Even when he is sitting down he will speak and shout with all of his might. Ueno said he himself has lived in the present more than anyone else for the last six months and he is certain Iino will burn to his fullest at Korakuen Hall on 15th April.

*Red Team 1 – 2 White Team.
6d. Final Single Match – Special Rules: Yuki Arai defeated Pom Harajuku with the Scorpion Death Lock (4:03).

Springtime means it’s time to hold a sports day outdoors in the sunshine. There were a Red Team and White Team put together in the main event for sports day themed wrestling matches. A point was given to the winners of every game and when the total scores were tallied up, the winning side would be given an advantage for the final match of the day. In the first game Mizuki and Hyper Misao wore large baskets over their back and it was up to Rika Tatsumi and Raku to throw balls into their team’s basket within a 5 minute time limit. They also has to wrestle during this so the baskets were constantly spilling over until the big rush to fill them up in the final seconds. Misao & Raku narrowly won by having one more ball than Mizuki & Tatsumi.

The second game was a wrestling match done Three-Legged Race style. Shoko Nakajima & Yuki Aino had their legs tied together as did Miyu Yamashita & Mahiro Kiryu. They then proceeded to try and wrestle while moving in sync with their partners. Yamashita & Kiryu came up with the bright idea to use a Backslide Pin together on their opponents to win the match and tie the competition. The final round was a Baton Relay race but it begun with a tug of war. The Red Team won that and were allowed take a head start while Nakajima had to make herself dizzy spinning around a baseball bat before the White Team could take off from the start line. The baton race was split into a bread eating contest, a sack race, a scavenger hunt, a ping pong ball carrying competition and then ended with Pom Harajuku beating Yuki Arai in a blindfold race to ensure the White Team scored more points than the Red Team.

The grand finale came down to a singles match between Arai and Harajuku. Since the White Team had the higher score, Harajuku’s advantage was she only need a 1 Count Pinfall to win. Arai would have to settle with needing a 2 Count Pinfall in order to be the victor. Harajuku tried many times to pin her opponent but Arai withstood her attacks and soon everyone piled into the ring to carry their captains into battle. When things calmed down, Harajuku covered Arai’s eyes with a blindfold but was still unable to get that 1 Count. Instead Arai trapped Harajuku in the Scorpion Death Lock to make her give up. After the match Arai said everyone in Tokyo Joshi Pro will do their best in the new semester.

The International Princess Title is already scheduled to be defended in Las Vegas next week but the next contender after that had to be decided with a 5 Way Match that was one fall to a finish. It was everyone for themselves but alliances were still quickly made and then broken. Uta Takami kept trying to put Haru Kazashiro in the Koala Clutch but was stopped by Shino Suzuki and then Mifu Ashida. After that Ashida and HIMAWARI took each other out of action with a double down, leaving them as easy targets for Kazashiro and Suzuki to get rid of. That left Kazashiro and Suzuki left to fight it out in the ring. Kazashiro blocked the Belly-To-Belly Suplex and lifted Suzuki over into the Fisherman Suplex to win the match and get a IP Title shot for next month. She said this year is the first where she is entirely dedicated to being a pro wrestler so it was a goal of hers to get a singles title shot. Now that she has it she is determined not to lose the challenge on 4th May.

Meanwhile Sakura Hattori won a tag match against Suzume in a preview of the IP Title match happening in Vegas. Suzume said she has learned there are aspects about Hattori she never knew about and she has to keep focus solely on her for now. Hattori described her own performance as superb craftmanship and everyone should look forward to the finished product.

4. BK-G Openweight Title: Mr. Bueno (c) defeated Antonio Honda with a Backslide Pin (19:40).
*V1 for Mr. Bueno.

It was back to business as usual for Baka Gaijin + Friends after playing hosts to Mystery Wrestling last month. Although for this show we had a championship challenge laid out in advance. Antonio Honda had confronted Mr. Bueno in the outside world a couple of weeks ago to ask for a shot at the BK-G Openweight Title. When the going got tough for Bueno, he “tagged in” Mr. Malo to help him fight Honda. Malo got away with it by throwing his poncho over Daisuke Kiso’s head so he wouldn’t see anything. Honda then injured his knee but as he tried to tell his Gongitsune joke, Bueno showed good sportsmanship by wrapping tape around the injured knee. He then realized Honda’s injury was something he could target so he focused his attacks there. Honda fought back by choking Bueno with the tape and then using it to tie them together like it was a strap match. It backfired when he ended up tangling his hands together while doing the Bionic Elbow. Bueno blocked the Gongitsune joke because he doesn’t understand Japanese and he ended up countering another Bionic Elbow into a Backslide Pin to win the match. After the match Baliyan Akki walked out and challenged Bueno for the title at the next show on 19th May.

It turns out that Baka Gaijin has its own Strong BK division of wrestlers. MAO & Kota Sekifuda entered the room pretending to be the Big Japan pair of Yuya Aoki and Daisuke Sekimoto. Then the real Aoki and Sekimoto entered the room looking bemused at the appearance of their doppelgangers. For an added BJW bonus, Takayuki Ueki briefly joined Mr. HAKU on commentary to impersonate Hirotsugu Suyama. The real Strong BJ wrestlers showed the pretenders what they are all about but their opponents found spots to copy those movements back at them. What they couldn’t replicate was Sekimoto’s strength. He grabbed Aoki and Sekifuda together to give them a Double German Suplex before Lariating Sekifuda down to the mat for the three count.

Today was Akki’s first time meeting Mr. Malo but there was a communication issue because Malo never speaks. Akki took it upon himself to make Malo speak by force by challenging him to a Noise Prevention Silence Death Match! I either wrestler made a loud sound they would lose so both of them were very careful with how they fought each other. The action was slow and methodical in more ways than one until Kiso was knocked aside. Akki screamed at Malo while Kiso was distracted but Malo fought back by taking out his black mask an wrapping it over Akki’s face. Malo then grabbed a flower and brushed it under Akki’s nose expecting him to sneeze but nothing happened. Instead Akki grabbed the flower a few minutes later and did the same to Malo to get the intended result!

Something felt a bit off about Ueki’s Magic Kingdom in the opening match. Their opponents Chris Brookes & Chie Koishikawa had to ignore the unusual atmosphere to fight their enemies and win the match. “Munek” used a bubble wand to summon walls to throw Brookes into but still had a neck injury to worry about. Brookes & Koishikawa weren’t afraid to target that neck injury when necessary. “Princess Ram” was more focused towards acting cute than usual while “Dark King Ueki” stood on the sidelines instructing his minions. The Magic Kingdom brought out a chained swing to attach from the ceiling but Brookes ended up trapping “Munek” on it in midair, becoming completely unable to save “Ram” from giving up to Koishikawa’s Octopus Hold. Brookes at least had the right idea to lift “Munek” back down after the match.
