DDT “DDT TANABATA SPECIAL 2023 IN SHINJUKU”, 07/07/2023
Shin-Kiba 1st RING

1. Kazusada Higuchi, Yuki Ishida & Rukiya Vs Yukio Sakaguchi, Saki Akai & Hideki Okatani
2. BURNING Vs DISASTER BOX!: Jun Akiyama & Yusuke Okada Vs HARASHIMA & Kazuki Hirata
3. International Special Single Match: Yuki Ueno Vs Nick Wayne
4. KANON Debut 4th Anniversary Match ~ Special Tag Match: TAKA Michinoku & KANON Vs Tetsuya Endo & Yuya Koroku
5. Road To PETER PAN 2023! Special Tag Match: Yuji Hino & Makoto Oishi Vs Chris Brookes & Masahiro Takanashi

Two important names are coming back from injuries on this show. Chris Brookes and KANON are both returning from dislocated shoulders. Brookes has some catching up to do. He is paying back every wrestler who fought on his behalf against Yuji Hino while he was recovering, starting with his CDK buddy Masahiro Takanashi.

KANON’s big return is for his 4th Anniversary match. His trainer TAKA Michinoku was previously announced and now we know they will be teaming up against Tetsuya Endo & Yuya Koroku.

DDT “ROAD TO PETER PAN 2023 IN AOMORI”, 15/07/2023
Aomori Hamanasu Hall

1. Daisuke Sasaki, MJ Paul & KANON Vs Yuki Ueno, Toy Kojima & Takeshi Masada
2. Falls Count Anywhere Special 6-Man Tag Match: Tetsuya Endo, Jun Akiyama & Yuya Koroku Vs Sanshiro Takagi, HARASHIMA & Kazuma Sumi
3. Special Tag Match: Yuji Hino & Makoto Oishi Vs Chris Brookes & Kazusada Higuchi

Kazusada Higuchi in particular was doing the heavy lifting against Ω while Brookes was gone. He deserves at least a beer or a lottery ticket as a thank you.

I think this is DDT’s first show in Hamanasu Hall since 2019. It’s been long enough that they are doing a Falls Count Anywhere match as their way to welcome themselves back into the building.

DDT “60TH BIRTHDAY & 20TH ANNIVERSARY ALL TOGETHER! ~ GORGEOUS NIGHT”, 16/07/2023
Fukushima Toyota Crown Arena Sub Arena

1. Saki Akai & Hideki Okatani Vs Kazuki Hirata & Kazuma Sumi
2. Special Tag Match: Yuji Hino & Makoto Oishi Vs Chris Brookes & Takeshi Masada
3. Fukushima Specialty Special 6-Man Tag Match: Gorgeous Matsuno, HARASHIMA & Yukio Sakaguchi Vs Sanshiro Takagi, Toru Owashi & Antonio Honda

The hometown hero Gorgeous Matsuno gets to team with HARASHIMA & Yukio Sakaguchi for his big show.

Last but not least, the final preview match between Hino and Brookes has Takeshi Masada backing up the Englishman like he always does. I can’t be counting out Makoto Oishi either. He’s stuck with Hino through thick and thin for all of this.

GANBARE☆JOSHI “GANJO FIGHTING SPIRITS ’23”, 16/07/2023
Tokyo Ryogoku KFC Hall

1. Banny Oikawa Comeback Match: Banny Oikawa Vs X
2. Special Single Match: YuuRI Vs Misa Kagura

A singles match three years in the making. Both YuuRI and Misa Kagura had their debut wrestling match in JTO on 11th November, 2020. Less than a year later YuuRI jumped over to GanPro without ever getting to have a singles match against her classmate. This past weekend the tag match they had in Ganbare☆Joshi brought their feelings for each other bubbling to the surface. It pushed YuuRI to finally challenge Kagura one on one. Kagura accepted so she can beat GanPro’s YuuRI while representing the company she stayed loyal to.

Also happening over the weekend was Banny Oikawa’s return to the wrestling scene. The former Ice Ribbon wrestler took a hiatus after leaving the promotion last summer. Her return brought her to GanJo thanks to some advice from Miyako Matsumoto. Oikawa has seen the GanJo wrestlers take part in intergender matches on GanPro shows and that is a big reason why she wants to wrestle again. However GanJo no longer does mixed tag matches on their own shows. An offer was made by Michiyoshi Mishima to have Oikawa’s return match take place in GanJo first while he tries convincing Ken Ohka to start booking her for GanPro afterwards.

1. Daisuke Sasaki & MJ Paul defeated Hideki Okatani & Kazuma Sumi when Paul pinned Sumi with a Running Body Press (9:33).
2. Yuki “Sexy” Iino & Danshoku “Dandy” Dieno Vs Sanshiro Takagi & Yukio Sakaguchi ended in a No Contest (7:24).
3. Akito & Sanae Takebayashi defeated Kazuki Hirata & Saki Akai when Akito submitted Hirata with an Ankle Lock (10:20).
4. Special Single Match: Andreza Giant Panda defeated Pokotan with the Andreza Press (6:04).
5. Sapporo Specialty Special Tag Match: Yuji Hino & Tomoya defeated Kazusada Higuchi & Yuki Ishida when Hino submitted Ishida with the King Kong Sleeper (13:30).
6. Jun Akiyama & Noriyuki Yoshida defeated HARASHIMA & Takeshi Masada when Akiyama pinned Masada with the Exploder Suplex (12:13).
7. BURNING Vs The 37KAMIINA!: Yuki Ueno, MAO & Toy Kojima defeated Tetsuya Endo, Yusuke Okada & Yuya Koroku when Ueno pinned Koroku with the WR (18:39).

Yuki Ueno & Toy Kojima successfully pulled off the My MADMAX on the way to winning today’s main event. The move itself did not score the win though. Ueno picked up Yuya Koroku afterwards to pin him with the WR. He then promoted the 25th June Korakuen Hall show to the Sapporo crowd where he, Kojima & MAO will all be fighting to win championships. Backstage Kojima said he is confident he & Ueno will win the KO-D Tag Team Titles while MAO will win the DDT Extreme Title.

Noriyuki Yoshida talked to Jun Akiyama backstage after their match and told him he wants to join BURNING. Akiyama decided to let him in as part of BURNING’s Hokkaido branch. DDT will be back in Sapporo this October so we’ll likely see Yoshida on those shows teaming with BURNING again.

The growing bad blood between Pokotan and Andreza Giant Panda led to a violent finish to their match. An Uppercut from Andreza knocked Pokotan’s head off! Andreza followed up with a big Headbutt followed by the Andreza Press to finish off the mascot. Andreza held Pokotan’s decapitated head while placing one foot on top of the body for the pinfall.

When Akito put Kazuki Hirata in the Ankle Lock, Hirata quickly tapped out. Somehow he thinks the speed of his tapping shows how great shape he’s in for the Extreme Title match. Sanae Takebayashi said she was happy to wrestle in DDT for the first time and would like to appear on their shows more often if given the chance. Akito said he liked seeing Saki Akai wrestle more women in DDT and hopes she will wrestle many more matches until her retirement later in the year.

Sanshiro Takagi had good news for everyone today. Pheromones are going to break up because there is no way they can beat him & Yukio Sakaguchi! The two of them took Yuki Iino out of action during the match, leaving Danshoku Dieno to fight them by himself. Sakaguchi put Dieno in a Sleeper Hold and Takagi placed a microphone up to Dieno’s face to force him into saying Pheromones are breaking up. Iino returned for the rescue and then trapped Takagi to force him into saying DDT is breaking up! Sakaguchi stopped them by shoving a penlight up Iino’s backside. Big mistake. Iino pulled it out and stuck the penlight into Sakaguchi’s mouth, causing him to faint. Iino then tried to strip naked causing the match to get called off.

1. Hideki Okatani defeated Yuki Ishida with the Double Arm Suplex (8:46).
2. 2 Vs 3 Handicap Match: Yuki “Sexy” Iino & Danshoku “Dandy” Dieno defeated Yusuke Okada, Kazuma Sumi & Rukiya when Iino submitted Rukiya after the Boys Be Ambitious (10:49).
3. Special Tag Match: Andreza Giant Panda & Saki Akai defeated Akito & Kazuki Hirata by TKO after Akito knocked out Akito with an Accidental Elbow Strike (0:19).
3a. Rematch: Andreza Giant Panda & Saki Akai defeated Akito & Kazuki Hirata when Akai pinned Hirata with the Quetzalcoatl (9:59).
4. Sapporo Specialty Special 8-Man Tag Match: Tetsuya Endo, Jun Akiyama, Yuya Koroku & Noriyuki Yoshida defeated Sanshiro Takagi, HARASHIMA, Tomoya & Makoto Oishi when Endo pinned Oishi with the Burning Star Press (14:35).
5. DAMNATION T.A Vs The 37KAMIINA!: MAO & Toy Kojima defeated Daisuke Sasaki & MJ Paul when Kojima pinned Paul with a School Boy (14:30).
6. Special Tag Match: Yuji Hino & Yukio Sakaguchi defeated Kazusada Higuchi & Takeshi Masada when Hino pinned Masada with the Fuckin’ BOMB (14:33).

It’s possible that Yuji Hino needed a day like today. All he had to do was focus on his match and not worry about Chris Brookes in any way, shape or form. The result of this was Hino scoring the pin and feeling very happy with how hot the atmosphere was in the building. He joked with Makoto Oishi that Sapporo is where it snows in the summer so it couldn’t possibly be this hot today. But it is! Yukio Sakaguchi added to the tension by gesturing towards Kazusada Higuchi and his KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Title belt after the match. He simply warned him that Eruption will take the titles from Harimao at Sumo Hall.

The latest drama between Toy Kojima and DAMNATION T.A continued the chair based beatings on The 37KAMIINA wrestler. However today he got a win over his enemies thanks to some help from MAO. Things went pear shaped when MAO missed the Whirlwind Kick and hit the referee Tomomitsu Matsunaga by accident. Sasaki hit Kojima with a chair until Kojima was able to defend himself and block the attack. Kojima then rolled over MJ Paul with a School Boy to get the 3 count from a recovered Matsunaga. DAMNATION T.A attacked Kojima again after the match but when they left, a defiant Kojima told the fans he and Yuki Ueno will win the vacant KO-D Tag Team Titles at Korakuen Hall! However Sasaki backstage called today’s result a miracle. One that will never happen again.

Obviously whenever Andreza Giant Panda appears it is very noticeable. It was even more so here when fans could see Andreza’s head sticking out behind the entrance curtain before he even made his entrance. He ended up getting stuck and his match began without him. Kazuki Hirata grabbed Saki Akai and Akito threw an Elbow Strike at her. She ducked and Hirata accidentally knocked out Hirata with his elbow. Akai was angry over how the match went and purposely revived Hirata to restart it, entrances and all. Andreza was still stuck behind the stage by the way. The match restarted and Akai made sure it wouldn’t suddenly end with Hirata getting knocked out again. Akito & Hirata got Andreza to chase them around ringside but it was to lure him into a trap. With the help of Underwear Sanshiro (a Sanshiro Takagi impersonator wearing underwear instead of wrestling trunks), Andreza was trapped inside two dollies leaving Akai having to fight Akito & Hirata by herself. Akai was able to fight off her opponents, free Andreza and go on to win the match as a team.

After the match Pokotan suddenly appeared and grabbed the microphone. He said he and Chiitan are now called the Chi-Poko Alliance and they will beat Andreza & Super Sasadango Machine to a pulp at Sumo Hall on 23rd July! But first Pokotan will face Andreza in a singles match tomorrow. He promised a fair fight and shook Andreza’s paw. Pokotan then gave him a Low Blow and a Stunner but Andreza shook it off and Headbutted Pokotan in retaliation!

DDT announced their next doubleshot at Sapporo ii-one Stadium will be on 14th and 15th October.

1. Yuki “Sexy” Iino & Danshoku “Dandy” Dieno defeated Akito & Kazuma Sumi when Iino submitted Sumi after the Sexy Shampoo (11:30).
2. SILVER QUEEN Infomercial Match: MAO & Yoshihiko defeated Sanshiro Takagi & Kazuki Hirata when Yoshihiko pinned Hirata with the Reincarnation (11:39).
-. Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title: Sanshiro Takagi defeated Yoshihiko (c) with a School Boy (7:42 pm).
*Sanshiro Takagi becomes the 1,572nd champion.
3. HARASHIMA & Hideki Okatani defeated Kazusada Higuchi & Yuya Koroku when HARASHIMA pinned Koroku with the Somato (12:38).
4. Hakodate Specialty Special Single Match: Yuki Ishida defeated Akinori Ariji with the Ensho (6:57).
5. Daisuke Sasaki & MJ Paul defeated Toy Kojima & Rukiya when Sasaki submitted Rukiya with the Crossface Lock (8:16).
6. Special 6-Man Tag Match: Tetsuya Endo, Jun Akiyama & Yusuke Okada defeated Yuji Hino, Makoto Oishi & Yukio Sakaguchi when Okada pinned Oishi with the Sudden Death (16:34).

One of the company trucks containing the ring canvas, aprons and turnbuckle pads never made it to the arena so the first half of the show took place on a partially constructed ring. The ring itself was stable but with no canvas that meant everyone was fighting on top of the bare wooden boards. DDT got in touch with one of Hokkaido’s local wrestling promotions Donan Pro Wrestling (ran by former Dragon Gate wrestler Katsuo) to rent out the missing equipment they needed. Donan Ring’s crew were able to arrive after Match #3 and intermission was spent completing construction of the ring.

DAMNATION T.A again attacked Toy Kojima with chairs during their match. Kojima had the chance to fight fire with fire when he grabbed hold of a chair but he chose to fight fairly instead. That didn’t work and MJ Paul attacked him with more chairs outside the ring while Daisuke Sasaki submitted Rukiya with the Crossface Lock.

Just when it looked like Yoshihiko had all the momentum going into the 3 Way DDT Extreme Title match, Sanshiro Takagi takes the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title away from it! Yoshihiko won a tag match by pinning Kazuki Hirata and then had to fight off MAO afterwards. Takagi saw an opening and pinned Yoshihiko with a School Boy to win the title. He said backstage that the value of the title stalled with Yoshihiko as champion. So Takagi put it upon himself to make it shine. He is ready to defend it against anyone (or anything) at anytime!

Half The Ring Is Missing! Kakuta Injured, Yamashita’s Return Leaves Me Wondering

2. SILVER QUEEN Infomercial Match: Sanshiro Takagi & Kazuki Hirata Vs MAO & Yoshihiko
3. HARASHIMA & Hideki Okatani Vs Kazusada Higuchi & Yuya Koroku
4. Hakodate Specialty Special Single Match: Yuki Ishida Vs Akinori Ariji
5. Daisuke Sasaki & MJ Paul Vs Toy Kojima & Rukiya
6. Special 6-Man Tag Match: Yuji Hino, Makoto Oitshi & Yukio Sakaguchi Vs Tetsuya Endo, Jun Akiyama & Yusuke Okada

I don’t normally write up news updates while shows are going on but today is an unusual exception. One of DDT’s ring trucks did not arrive in time for the show so as of writing the ring is bare, missing all of its canvas mats, corner pads and ring aprons. They decided to go on with the show wrestling on the exposed wood panels but DDT has gotten in contact with a nearby wrestling promotion to rent out the remaining equipment they need. The match order was changed so now the comedy stuff will go on first (Pheromones will humiliate you but they’re not going to head drop you onto the canvas) and as soon as the rented equipment arrives the show will go to intermission and get the ring fully ready.

Nao Kakuta has a back injury and will not be wrestling this weekend. Her tag match will now be a 3 Way Match between Shoko Nakajima, Arisu Endo and Kaya Toribami. As you will see below she is on the schedule to wrestle next week so hopefully it is just a minor injury.

6. Rika Tatsumi, Miu Watanabe & Kaya Toribami Vs Yuki Aino, Raku & Pom Harajuku
7. Miyu Yamashita & Shoko Nakajima Vs Maki Itoh & Yuki Kamifuku

I’m going to spend a long time wondering about that Tokyo Joshi Pro update back from the end of March. They said at the time that Miyu Yamashita’s return from excursion could have been delayed if a big opportunity came her way. TJPW was right to put that out given how much they rely on ticket sales and cannot risk even slightly damaging their customer base’s trust over any kind of false advertising. It’s why you so often see Japanese promotions giving updates and offering apologies over even the most inconsequential setbacks that changes the show lineups while in other countries you can get out of luck and be stuck with “Card Subject To Change” as the only excuse. So there had to have been something discussed between Yamashita and another party over a big booking somewhere. That her return falls on the same weekend as AEW and New Japan holding the second Forbidden Door PPV sent a lot of people’s imaginations into a frenzy, myself included. Was it all a coincidence? Did TJPW put the original message out there just in case Yamashita got an offer from anybody, not just AEW, to extend her stay in America just that little bit longer? Or was there a deal somewhere that fell apart? I think it’s the former but that’s because it will drive me up the wall if it turns out to be the latter.

He started out being annoyed over Chris Brookes getting injured and now thanks to a heartfelt speech from Antonio Honda he feels sympathy for his next challenger. It’s probably a good thing he gets to deal with a different set of opponents tomorrow. Get his head back in check and focus on what’s in front of him.

Mizuki is not at the show because she will be in America for Deadlock Pro that day. Yuka Sakazaki will be with her at that show too. Their match over there has gone through a bunch of changes. It was supposed to be The Magical Sugar Rabbits Vs Miyu Yamashita & Hyan. First, Hyan had to pull out of the show because of a scheduling conflict so she is replaced with Vert Vixen. Then news of Sakazaki’s injury came out so Mizuki is now teaming with Emi Sakura. Those two teaming together again is newsworthy by itself.

This weekend’s show has a couple of firsts. It is the first main event match for HIMAWARI. It’s the first time Hyper Misao & Yoshiko Hasegawa are teaming together. It is also Runa Okubo’s first singles match of her career.

DDT “WHAT ARE YOU DOING 2023”, 25/06/2023

0. Dark Match: Yuki “Sexy” Iino, Danshoku “Dandy” Dieno, Toru Owashi & Yuni Vs Akito, Soma Takao, Kazuma Sumi & Rukiya
1. Yukio Sakaguchi, Saki Akai, Hideki Okatani & Sanshiro Takagi Vs Ryota Nakatsu, Yuki Ishida, Yusuke Okada & Yuya Koroku

5. International Special Single Match: Tetsuya Endo Vs Nick Wayne
6. KO-D Tag Team Titles: Daisuke Sasaki & MJ Paul Vs Yuki Ueno & Toy Kojima
7. DDT Extreme Title – Survival 3 Way Match: MAO Vs Kazuki Hirata Vs Yoshihiko

A third party wants to fight MAO and Kazuki Hirata over the vacant DDT Extreme Title! A few days ago Yoshihiko pinned both of them at the same time and believes it now qualifies to be part of the title match. A 3 Way Match was suggested and MAO liked the idea because he wants to fight Yoshihiko more often. They all agreed to make it under elimination rules because everybody expects Hirata will get immediately pinned. Since the match is headlining the show it would be a waste to set up a 3 Way only for it to end so quickly. All three wrestlers are happy with the decision. Yoshihiko gets to fight for a championship, MAO gets to fight Yoshihiko again and Hirata gets to be in the main event even if might only for a few seconds!

The 37KAMIINA are getting prepared for the vacant KO-D Tag Team Titles match. When Shunma Katsumata was having his surgery, he came up with a new tag team finishing move for Yuki Ueno & Toy Kojima to use. Every duo combination in The 37KAMIINA so far has their own version of the MADMAX finisher. This one is called the My MADMAX because Katsumata thought of it by himself. They all held a training session together along with Rukiya being used as the crash test dummy. After a few practice tries, the My MADMAX was discovered to be a Spike Air Raid Crash. They all believe the move is easier to use on Daisuke Sasaki. However if they can pull it off on MJ Paul then it will be even more damaging to an opponent his size.

Honda already said his piece defending Brookes against Hino. Now he has to step in the ring and meet Hino face to face with the help of Higuchi & Masahiro Takanashi. They need the help because Hino & Makoto Oishi have Jun Akiyama on their side!

The match order other than the main event and dark match has not been determined yet.

233 Fans – Super No Vacancy Full House

1. Daisuke Sasaki defeated Kazuma Sumi with the Crossface Lock (7:27).
2. No Tag Rules: Yuki “Sexy” Iino & Danshoku “Dandy” Dieno defeated Toru Owashi & Antonio Honda when Iino pinned Honda with the Ketsugoye (9:35).
3. Asakusa Specialty Special Tag Match: Yoshihiko & Kazuki Hirata defeated Yuki Ueno & MAO when Yoshihiko pinned MAO with the Reincarnation (10:21).
4. Sanshiro Takagi & Akito defeated Tetsuya Endo & Yuya Koroku when Sanshiro Takagi pinned Koroku with the Stone Cold Stunner (8:42).
5. Kazusada Higuchi, Ryota Nakatsu & Yuki Ishida defeated Jun Akiyama, Yusuke Okada & Rukiya when Ishida pinned Rukiya with the Ensho (13:06).
6. Special Single Match: MJ Paul defeated Toy Kojima by Disqualification when Kojima attacked Paul with a Chair (10:03).
7. Yuji Hino, HARASHIMA & Makoto Oishi defeated Yukio Sakaguchi, Masahiro Takanashi & Hideki Okatani when Hino submitted Takanashi with the King Kong Sleeper (13:24).

After several shows of complaints, Yuji Hino suddenly found himself changing his mind about Chris Brookes thanks to Antonio Honda. When the main event was finished, Honda entered the ring and gave Hino a heartfelt speech explaining why Brookes deserves to fight him for the KO-D Openweight Title on 23rd July. By the time he was done, Hino was moved to tears.

Yuki Ishida blamed his recent illness that kept him from wrestling over not having enough Dosukoi spirit. So today he made sure to wrestle with extra Dosukoi within him.

A gullible Yuya Koroku was tricked by Sanshiro Takagi & Akito when they offered him a bribe to team with them instead of Tetsuya Endo. He took their word only for Takagi to give him a Stunner, pin him and reveal there is no bribe. After the match Endo was so mad by Koroku’s betrayal he kicked him out of BURNING! However he decided he would change his mind if Koroku did a funny dance in the ring for the fans. Koroku did what he was told and it cheered Endo up, saving Koroku’s spot in the group.

Toy Kojima has snapped! For several shows in a row DAMNATION T.A have been cheating and attacking him in violent ways. Today was Kojima’s breaking point after Daisuke Sasaki interfered in his match against MJ Paul. The cheating caused Yuki Ueno to go after him to even the odds but Sasaki gave him a Low Blow. Kojima saw that and lost his temper, attacking both DAMNATION T.A members with a chair. The referee tried to settle him down but Ueno threw him out of the way, getting disqualified in the process. Ueno was then able to calm him down after the match. Kojima said all DAMNATION T.A does is cheat so he wants to take them down at Korakuen Hall on 25th June. Ueno agreed and told Kojima he is now unleashed. He approves of him fighting back this way because it comes from the heart. They have to give it everything they’ve got otherwise they won’t win. Ueno promised not to let DAMNATION T.A become the next KO-D Tag Team Champions. However Sasaki warned that if this is Kojima’s true intention then he will kill him 200 million times more!

There is a twist in the story between Kazuki Hirata and MAO because a new fighter has entered the fray. Their tag match today had a reward on the line. If Hirata or MAO won then they would get to choose the stipulation for their DDT Extreme Title match on 25th June. Instead Yoshihiko scored the pinfall on both of them at the same time (even though Hirata was its tag partner). Hirata and MAO began arguing with Hisaya Imabayashi over how to determine who picks the stipulation when Yoshihiko offered a suggestion to the GM. It wants to be added to the match and make it a 3 Way! Hirata liked the idea because it is more exciting than a singles match. MAO wanted to alter it slightly and make it a Survival 3 Way because it would be a waste of a match when Hirata loses immediately. Everyone agreed. Not only that but Imabayashi surprised everyone by telling them it will now be the main event! So MAO gets to fight Yoshihiko again and Hirata gets to headline a Korakuen show even if he only lasts a few seconds. Everybody wins!

Ueno unexpectedly threw out a “WRESTLE PETER PAN 2023” challenge during his backstage interview by telling reporters he wants another singles match against Konosuke Takeshita! They’ve already had two singles matches this year, once for a 10 minute exhibition and another for DDT’s show in Los Angeles. He heard Takeshita recently changed his behavior over in AEW. Regardless of what side between good and bad Takeshita now stands in, he is still a member of The 37KAMIINA and Ueno wants to wrestle him in Sumo Hall on 23rd July.

The go home show for “WRESTLE SEKIGAHARA II” pits the new tag team of Ken Ohka & Kuma Arashi against Keisuke Ishii & Shota. Ishii and Shota will be opponents at Ota Ward Gymnasium but any tension between them has to wait until then.

A mini-series between Yumehito Imanari and Shuichiro Katsumura takes up a chunk of the show. There will be a singles match and an Elimination Tag match featuring wrestlers from their teams.

A message was sent by Sayaka Unagi to Ganbare☆Pro today saying that Riara needs an appraisal from somebody else in order to get assessed by herself. Unagi will be sending a “minion” to face Riara in a match to see what the rookie is capable of.

Kaho Matsushita comes from Ice Ribbon.

BAKA GAIJIN + FRIENDS “VOL. SIX: THE ART OF SELF DESTRUCTION”, 04/07/2023
Tokyo ARENA Shimokitazawa

1. Special Tag Team Match: MAO & Chie Koishikawa Vs Takayuki Ueki & Mecha Mummy
2. Special Single Match: Masahiro Takanashi Vs Asuka
3. Special Single Match: Minoru Fujita Vs Rina Yamashita

This will be the first Baka Gaijin + Friends show without either Chris Brookes or Drew Parker wrestling on it so it will by up to Masahiro Takanashi to keep an eye on things in their absence. Brookes is injured while Parker is taking time off to go back to the UK. Instead the regular crew are joined by Minoru Fujita and Asuka for the first time along with Rina Yamashita making her second appearance for the group.

MAO & Chie Koishikawa think their tag team is better suited for these shows than DDT. After all where else can they fight against Takayuki Ueki & Mecha Mummy together?

5. International Princess Title: Rika Tatsumi (c) Vs Yuki Arai
6. Princess Of Princess Title: Mizuki (c) Vs Maki Itoh

Yesterday Yuki Arai became the No. 1 Contender for the International Princess Title. She and the champion Rika Tatsumi are looking forward to showing the world a great match between them.

The return of NEO Biishiki-gun will have first time opponents Yuki Arai & Wakana Uehara waiting for them. Arai thinks Sakisama kind of looks like Saki Akai. If the two of them are at similar skill level too then Arai is more prepared for the match than she thought.

Nyla Rose will be getting a new opponent now that Yuka Sakazaki has been pulled off the show. It will be announced as soon as her new opponent is decided.

It will be almost six months since Juria Nagano’s last match by the time she comes back. A broken finger kept her away from wrestling matches all year.
