-. Exhibition Match: Seigo Tachibana Vs Hideki Okatani ended in a Time Limit Draw (10:00).
After the broadcast for “DDT TV SHOW! #4” ended, the villainous yankee wrestler Seigo Tachibana showed up demanding to be put in a match. He didn’t know how to contact Hisaya Imabayashi online so he came to the venue to give his demand directly to him. The show was already over so all that Imabayashi could do was give him an exhibition bout with Hideki Okatani. Tachibana boasted he would win in three minutes. Instead he ended up in danger of losing to Okatani to a Crab Hold until the time expired and the match was ruled a draw. Tachibana complained he was seconds away from cradling Okatani for the three count and he left the venue in a huff.

Busy day for Masato Tanaka. He went into today’s episode of DDT TV SHOW focused on meeting his closest challenger Tetsuya Endo in a tag match. With the help of a Reverse Hurricanrana from HARASHIMA, Tanaka knocked out Endo with the Sliding D. The duo then picked apart Soma Takao until the inevitable victory.
A revived Endo tried to confront Tanaka after the match but he was suddenly interrupted by Shinya Aoki! He came out to cash in his Right To Challenge Gauntlet for a KO-D Openweight Title shot right away! From the start Aoki targeted Tanaka’s arm and used a Key Lock to put his opponent in immediate danger. Tanaka escaped the ring after a rope break and challenged Aoki to come fight him outside. Aoki avoided being ambushed with a chair and again went after Tanaka’s left arm. It was a valuable tactic that cut off Tanaka whenever he tried to fight back. It took one opening for Tanaka to beat Aoki. He used a pin to break out of a Cross Armbreaker and then struck Aoki with the Sliding D. The surprise was enough to keep Aoki down for the three count! The two bowed to each other after the match.
Another Right To Challenge Gauntlet has been vanquished. One more is left but there is also the KO-D Challenger Sword held by Endo. It was decided by Hisaya Imabayashi that Endo’s title shot will take place at “WRESTLE PETER PAN 2020 DAY 2” on 7th June! Endo said he does not care about MAO being the last remaining Gauntlet holder, he is entirely focused on hunting Tanaka to win the KO-D Title! Tanaka said whether it is Endo or MAO kneeling in front of him, he will continue to hold the KO-D Title until he goes to Saitama Super Arena!
Yoshihiko has made a clean sweep through ALL OUT! The final battle in the “ALL OUT, All Dead” campaign saw the doll defeat Konosuke Takeshita in a mighty conflict. Takeshita swung Yoshihiko round in circles, Yoshihiko did the Styles Clash, Takeshita did an Avalanche Brainbuster to the outside. There was nothing either wrestler wouldn’t do to win. That includes relying on others. The other ALL OUT members interfered to help out their partner. They then ganged up on Yoshihiko after the referee got accidentally knocked out. All looked lost when suddenly the lights went out. When they came back on Yoshihiko was joined by another battle doll. It was the return of Akihiro! Together they sent ALL OUT packing and left Takeshita begging for mercy. They gave him a Double Canadian Destroyer. Yoshihiko had the match won but it picked Takeshita back up and gave him the Reincarnation to win with authority. The lights went out again as the two dolls stared down at their defeated enemy.
MAO was pulled from the show at the last minute because of an injury so the DDT UNIVERSAL Title was now being defended in a 3 Way Match. At first Daisuke Sasaki and Chris Brookes only wanted to fight each other so Naomi Yoshimura couldn’t get a look in. From there it was a scramble to get the win. Brookes gave Yoshimura the Praying Mantis Bomb but Sasaki threw him out of the ring and stole the three count to remain as champion.
Brookes called the result a load of shit. Sasaki taunted him by saying he will never get the UNIVERSAL Title back. He then gave Brookes a Low Blow and threw him out again. Sasaki announced his next challenger will be Shunma Katsumata because he wants to have a Hardcore Match and also Katsumata is the weakest member of ALL OUT. Katsumata came out carrying a baseball bat covered in toy blocks. He admitted he has never beaten Sasaki but if “Super Hardcore Shunma” even has a 1% chance of winning, he will take it. Suddenly Isami Kodaka made his return to DDT and entered the ring. He has won all of DDT’s main championships but this UNIVERSAL Title is new to him. Sasaki accepted Kodaka’s challenge and told Katsumata he had no need for him anymore. Katsumata struck Sasaki with the bat causing a fight to break out between the three of them. Imabayashi calmed everyone down and decided they will have a Hardcore 3 Way Match for the title. Sasaki wasn’t conscious at this point so everyone assumed he’d be okay with it. Meanwhile Brookes is pissed off he can’t get a one on one match with Sasaki for the title.
Ambushing Jun Akiyama with his own Jumping Knee Attack is a good way to show you’re taking a match seriously so well done Mizuki Watase. Trying to beat him with a Front Necklock also takes some balls. In the end though Akiyama hit his own Knee Strikes and won with the Exploder Suplex. It will take some time but Akiyama hopes to train the DDT wrestlers to put more weight and soul into their Elbow Smash exchanges.
Yuki Iino threw his weight around in Match #2. He hit a Double Spear to Kazusada Higuchi & Yukio Naya. Then when Akito put Naya in the Figure 4 Leg Lock, Iino hit him with a low level Spear leading to Naya tapping out.
Lately whenever Danshoku Dieno and Antonio Honda fight over the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title their matches just seem to fall apart. This time Honda channeled the power of Gongitsune to possess other people. Dieno could resist it by putting his hands over his ears but for people like Hideki Okatani, Keigo Nakamura, Daisuke Kiso and Hisaya Imabayashi they could not be as fortunate. Honda’s plan backfired when the Gongitsune group turned on him, forcing him to be possessed by his own power! Together they all ganged up on Dieno until the room went dark. Dieno woke up in his own home. It was just a nightmare. Or was it? When he left the room we found out Okatani was hiding underneath the covers, still possessed by Gongitsune…

-. Emergency Match: Tetsuya Endo defeated Kazusada Higuchi with the Shooting Star Press (10:02). *Tetsuya Endo cashes in his Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere Gauntlet. Tetsuya Endo wins Kazusada Higuchi’s KO-D Challenger Sword.
Week #3 of DDT TV SHOW ended with Tetsuya Endo regaining the KO-D Challenger Sword! In the scheduled main event tag match Endo kept Akito in his sights from the beginning. His goal was to pin Akito and take away the Right To Challenge Gauntlet. Daisuke Sasaki and Konosuke Takeshita kept each other away from the ring so it came down to Akito putting Endo into a submission hold. His Scorpion Deathlock attempt was countered by Endo into a Small Package for the flash three count.
After the match Endo asked Hisaya Imabayashi if the rules for the Sword and Gauntlets had changed now that Saitama Super Arena is out of the picture. When it was confirmed that the rules are the same, Endo called for Kazusada Higuchi to come out because he was challenging him for the Sword right now! Higuchi appeared still in his ring gear but without his wrestling boots. Endo attacked him as he entered the ring and the match began as they brawled around ringside. Endo hit a stage dive before Higuchi got back to the ring. Higuchi tried to Choke Slam Endo onto the apron but Endo gave him a Brianbuster onto it instead. Whatever Higuchi tried, Endo had a counter for. The three move combo of Tetsuya In The Sky, the Swivel Torture Rack Bomb and the Shooting Star Press put Higuchi away.
Endo received the Challenger Sword and said he already knows when to use it for a KO-D Openweight Title shot. He wants to use it right now! Imabayashi told him he already wrestled twice today and Masato Tanaka isn’t here. A relieved Endo admitted he is happy not to wrestle a third time so he will go home and wait for another time. According to him, everyone in DDT hope to wrestle in front of a packed venue again. He may wait to cash in the Sword until then or maybe he won’t.
Saki Akai is now 3-3 in the Okibariyasu. She survived the multiple Suplex variations from Saori Anou to pin her with the always reliable Quetzalcoatl. Akai told Anou the style of pro wrestling she likes is happy, beautiful, cool and flowery. Just like Anou. She wants the two of them to push forward not just joshi wrestling but pro wrestling as a whole. Akai then asked Imabayashi about the seventh and final opponent. Imabayashi told her the final match would have been in Saitama Super Arena but obviously that plan is out the window. He asked her to wait a little longer while he finds a suitable opponent.
The guest coach Jun Akiyama took a few DDT wrestlers to school. He and Keisuke Ishii beat the team of Mizuki Watase & Hideki Okatani. Akiyama did things here and there to provoke his younger opponents into firing themselves up. He eventually made Okatani tap out to a Crab Hold. Watase Dropkicked Akiyama as he was leaving the ring. Akiyama grabbed him by his head and scolded him until Watase admitted he wanted a singles match against him. Akiyama walked off but accepted the challenge before he left.
Three of the four ALL OUT wrestlers have now lost to Yoshihiko since DDT TV SHOW began. Not even Shunma Katsumata in a Joker costume can stop it! More signs saying “ALL OUT All Dead” were found backstage before the Hardcore Match, driving Katsumata crazy. In the match, Katsumata started off hot. He shoved Yoshihiko into a trash can, hit it with a barbed wire baseball bat and mousetrapped Yoshihiko’s head with a chair several times. Yoshihiko took control by Back Dropping Katsumata onto a chair, giving him a Bulldog and a Piledriver onto a counter and Choke Slamming him onto a Ladder. A ref bump led to Takeshita coming out to interfere while the ring was filled with Lego. The ALL OUT double team failed and Yoshihiko took out Takeshita with a dive out of the ring. It then gave Katsumata a Canadian Destroyer for a nearfall before winning with the Reincarnation onto the Lego. Takeshita confronted Yoshihiko, challenging it to a match.
The only blight on DAMNATION’s record today was losing to DISASTER BOX in the early tag match. Looks like HARASHIMA & Naomi Yoshimura work better as a team than Soma Takao & Mad Paulie do.
The Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title match was presented like a TV comedy sketch with canned laughter. Danshoku Dieno and Antonio Honda kept getting accidentally hit in the groin until both of them could no longer continue. Daisuke Kiso said the punchline and the match ended in a No Contest.
Higuchi’s scheduled match for the episode was a simple win over Keigo Nakamura.

1. Yukio Naya defeated Keigo Nakamura with a Side Suplex (6:50).
Yukio Naya and Keigo Nakamura were the guinea pigs used to test filming pro wrestling matches in front of an audience of Zoom users. The match itself was quick and to the point with a little bit of playing to the camera from the wrestlers. After the match, Sanshiro Takagi and Hisaya Imabayashi entered the ring for a Q&A session. They were interrupted by the sudden appearance of Seigo Tachibana! The young villain previously from WRESTLE-1 had spent the last month publicly asking Takagi to come wrestle in DDT. He wants to wrestle here because DDT airs on ABEMA (formerly AbemaTV) and he can show his matches to all of his brothers and sisters around the world. He also wants to be on the Ookami dating shows that ABEMA produces. Takagi initially agreed to book him if a video interview he uploaded to his Youtube page reached 1,000 viewers. The goal was met but Tachibana never heard back from Takagi. He angrily came here today to get an answer. Takagi shifted the responsibility over to Imabayashi and told Tachibana to ask him. Imabayashi was then threatened by Tachibana to book him for a future DDT show.

4. Konosuke Takeshita defeated Gota Ihashi with an Oklahoma Roll (11:13).
5. Hardcore Match: Chris Brookes defeated Shunma Katsumata with the Praying Mantis Bomb through a table (20:43).
6. KO-D Openweight Title: Masato Tanaka (c) defeated Yukio Sakaguchi by TKO (13:02). *V3 for Masato Tanaka.
A pinfall or a submission was not the way for Masato Tanaka to defeat Yukio Sakaguchi. Today he had to take the challenger beyond his breaking point. A Dragon Screw damaged Sakaguchi’s knee which begun Tanaka’s focused attacks to that target. The pain was bad enough to keep Sakaguchi grounded and any attempts to make a comeback were quickly cut down with a strike to the knee. Even acts of defence caused more damage like when Sakaguchi blocked the Super Fly with his knees. Sakaguchi fought through the pain to his the God’s Right Knee. He squeezed in the Cobra Clutch but Tanaka got the rope break and fired back with Elbow Strikes. The attacks ended with the Sliding D but Sakaguchi kicked out at one and suddenly caught Tanaka in a Sleeper Hold! He let go to do the God’s Right Knee but Tanaka blocked it with his elbow and hit the Roaring Elbow for a nearfall. Tanaka went on a relentless assault of Mounted Elbows before hitting another Sliding D. Sakaguchi once again kicked out at one! However the damage still proved to be too much and Yukinori Matsui called for a TKO when Sakaguchi collapsed from trying to stand back up.
After the match Kazusada Higuchi approached Tanaka with the KO-D Challenger Sword in his grasp. He raised the sword while Tanaka raised the KO-D Openweight Title next to it. Tanaka got on the microphone and said it’s unfortunate the Saitama Super Arena show isn’t going ahead this year. He does not know when it will take place but he will protect the KO-D Title until then.
Backstage after the show, Tetsuya Endo confronted Higuchi wanting the sword returned back to him. He can’t grab it off him right now because of social distancing but he warns he will definitely get it back eventually.
The hardcore grudge match between Chris Brookes and Shunma Katsumata saw the two try to kill each other multiple times. That is because it is more acceptable to do that in a wrestling match than it is to do on Twitter. There were kendo sticks, chairs, trash cans, tables, ladders, block toys, plastic cases and fighting on the Shinjuku FACE counters. Brookes kept hitting Katsumata over the head with chairs demanding him to give up but he refused. So Brookes had to give him the Praying Mantis Bomb through a table to beat him.
Brookes was attacked by Daisuke Sasaki with a chairs after the match. According to Sasaki he has changed his mind and he will defend the DDT UNIVERSAL Title after all. Suddenly MAO and Naomi Yoshimura rushed out and attacked Sasaki! Brookes recovered and gave Sasaki the Praying Mantis Bomb. There isn’t an alliance forming though. Both MAO and Yoshimura came out wanting to challenge for the title instead of Brookes. The three of them argued until Hisaya Imabayashi came out. Since the three of them want a title shot and Sasaki last week said he won’t defend the title without another Japanese wrestler involved, let’s do a 4 Way match for the belt! Brookes told Sasaki there is no guarantee he will beat him next week, but Sasaki will never come out of the match as champion!
DDT’s new guest coach Jun Akiyama came out to greet the viewers on DDT UNIVERSE. He said he would like to teach the DDT roster everything that Giant Baba handed down to him. According to Akiyama, Sanshiro Takagi put together a united group of hard working wrestlers. He is interested in fighting them so he will wrestle matches in DDT whenever his All Japan schedule allows it. Imabayashi then announced Akiyama will wrestle on next week’s episode of DDT TV SHOW! He will team with Keisuke Ishii to face Mizuki Watase & Hideki Okatani. In a backstage interview, Takagi and Akiyama explained that now is the time for the Japanese wrestling scene to protect itself while there are so few shows taking place. Akiyama is available to work with DDT because his planned visit to WWE as a guest trainer this month was postponed due to COVID-19. When asked about the possibility of doing a Street Wrestling match, Akiyama reminded the reporter that he is a former Iron Man Heavymetalweight Champion.
Yoshihiko’s quest to make “ALL OUT All Dead” increased with more attacks on the unit this week. Some of them were out of retaliation. Earlier in the show, Konosuke Takeshita had attacked Yoshihiko so the doll responded in kind during Takeshita’s match with Gota Ihashi. Takeshita had the match won when the lights went out. When the lights came back on, Yoshihiko was in the ring ready to attack!. It gave Takeshita a Piledriver then left him for Ihashi to finish the job. However Ihashi missed the Moonsault and Takeshita pinned him with an Oklahoma Roll, clutching victory from the jaws of defeat. Katsumata asked Yoshihiko why it holds a grudge with ALL OUT? He’ll find out when the two of them have a match next week!
Keigo Nakamura convinced Soma Takao and HARASHIMA backstage to make the Iron Man Title 4 Way match held under special rules. The idea was the match began with the three challengers wrestling each other. The champion Danshoku Dieno would enter the match after five minutes. However if a fall took place in the first five minutes, the title would change hands even though Dieno wouldn’t have entered the match yet. Dieno overheard this plan backstage and foiled Nakamura’s plan by hiding underneath the ring before the match began. When it was time to enter, Dieno caught his opponents with an ambush from behind and pinned Nakamura to defend the championship.
So what did Takeshita do to Yoshihiko earlier in the show to cause the bad blood between them to heat up even further? Takeshita violently attacked Yoshihiko during its match with Akito, that’s what. Takeshita pulled Yoshihiko out of the ring and swung him round in circles, hitting its head against the ring post over and over! Yoshihiko was thrown back into the ring for a weakened Akito to pin it. Akito now holds the black Right To Challenge Gauntlet. He wants to use it on the KO-D Challenger Sword but only if Endo gets it back. Otherwise he’d rather sell it than cash it in against Higuchi.
In a preview of their upcoming singles match, Saori Anou pinned Saki Akai in a tag bout. Watase was able to rescue Akai from being pinned a couple of times until Yukio Naya took him out with a Choke Slam. Anou wasn’t fully convinced that Akai is a challenge for her. She said “Blue Saori” will come out of the match looking better than “Red Saki”. Akai said the match will prove who is the stronger wrestler from Kansai between them.

The Business Alliance between DAMNATION and #STRONGHEARTS are going from strength to strength. Now they have title belts to share between them because Tetsuya Endo, T-Hawk & El Lindaman are the new KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Champions! The title change happened when Endo wiped out Konosuke Takeshita & Yuki Iino with a Sasuke Special. In the ring T-Hawk & Lindaman gave Shunma Katsumata a Double Impact Codebreaker. Endo then came back to pin Katsumata with the Shooting Star Press. After the match Endo revealed the official name of the Business Alliance. They figured out how to mash the two unit names together and they are now called #DAMNHEARTS! Their first defence is against DISASTER BOX on 4th April.
The next goal for #DAMNHEARTS is for CIMA & Soma Takao to win the KO-D Tag Team Titles. That way all of the full time members will be a champion, except for Mad Paulie but he doesn’t seem to mind (even though he lost his Right To Challenge Gauntlet to MAO earlier in the show). CimaSoma are making progress on earning their tag title shot. The two Mad Splash combo is continuing to win them matches.
Toru Owashi brought Ken Ohka’s father to ringside so they could cheer Ohka on. Owashi got so into it he forgot he was part of the match and Ohka couldn’t tag him in. He got back in, gave Mike Bailey & Mizuki Watase a Double Choke Slam and set Ohka up to hit the match winning Fire Spear. Owashi told the crowd that today was the first time he and Ohka teamed together since February 2013. Ohka said he was upset because next week’s Bakuha Koshien show was postponed. But once he got back in the ring this weekend to wrestle again he remembered how fun pro wrestling can be.
Yukio Sakaguchi and the rest of Eruption have had a busy weekend wrestling for both DDT and Ganbare☆Wrestling. Sakaguchi said it is giving him a good feel for challenging Masato Tanaka over the KO-D Openweight Title soon. Higuchi got the word out that he is chasing after the Saitama Super Arena Sword because he wants to, not because Sakaguchi told him to.
By being on the winning side today, Antonio Honda thinks he has earned a DDT UNIVERSAL Title shot. He asked Daisuke Sasaki again for a match. He got Sasaki to meditate so he could decide on a clear mind. Sasaki meditated then turned down the challenge again. Honda had to go find Hisaya Imabayashi after the show and use meditation on him to get the title shot. Sasaki Vs Honda for the UNIVERSAL Title will now take place on 19th April.
Kazuki Hirata appeared on the balcony to dance during his entrance. He brought Akito up to the balcony and knocked him out with the Tegatana Chop. Hirata then put on the Hirata GO! glasses and danced in the balcony while Akito escaped back down to the ring. Hirata was still dancing when he got counted out.

1. Falls Count Anywhere 4 Way Tag Match: HARASHIMA & Naomi Yoshimura defeated Tetsuya Endo & Soma Takao, Shunma Katsumata & Yuki Iino and MAO & Keigo Nakamura when HARASHIMA pinned Nakamura with the Somato (82:16).
43 years ago the Tochigi Nasumachi Outdoor Training Center was opened. Sadly the place will be closed down on 31st March so DDT wanted to say goodbye the only way it could. By hosting a Falls Count Anywhere Match there. 30 visitors came to watch the match including a family who looked familiar… They claimed they had visited the site for a camping vacation, do not know much about pro wrestling but were interested in watching the match.
The teams made their entrances with Hisaya Imabayashi acting as the referee. MAO & Keigo Nakamura came out dressed like rural yankees. Shunma Katsumata walked out on his own and said his tag partner Yuki Iino was sleeping in because he drank too much last night.
The match began and HARASHIMA grabbed a child to attack Nakamura with. MAO climbed a fence and hit a Missile Dropkick to Tetsuya Endo. Katsumata found a hose and began spraying water at his opponents but the water spout was too weak to do much other than annoy.
HARASHIMA & Naomi Yoshimura armed themselves with logs while Nakamura found a tent. Inside was Iino sleeping soundly. Nakamura tried to steal his bottle of tea but Iino woke up, dragged him into the tent and attacked him.
Iino burst out of the tent in his wrestling gear with Nakamura bend down behind him with his head between Iino’s legs. Everyone described them like a centaur as they charged into the other wrestlers with shoulder blocks.
Elsewhere Endo and Katsumata rolled down a hill from a struggled Power Bomb. Soma Takao grabbed one of the video cameras and filmed the match for a while.
Yoshimura found an open space to have sumo matches with Hideki Okatani. He then forced Nakamura and Okatani to fight each other.
Iino dragged the match over to a nearby cottage. He gathered everyone together for Katsumata to dive onto from the top of the stairway. The wrestlers then began giving each other Brainbusters. The one Katsumata gave to HARASHIMA ended up with both of them rolling down a hill into a river.
Everyone then began attacking each other with branches in the river stream. HARASHIMA put Nakamura in a Crab Hold and pressed Nakamura’s face into the water. Yoshimura and Iino hit each other with Lariats on the rocky shore until they both fell into the water. Endo then gave MAO the Tetsuya In The Sky into the water.
As the wrestlers walked down the river they approached a cooking area. They took a break from fighting to have a race over who could light up a campfire first. Katsumata was the only one to spark a fire.
Meanwhile Yoshimura and Iino went off to saw a log while HARASHIMA and Takao found a tree climbing set up. Both of them put on the equipment and climbed the tree. Takao then put HARASHIMA in a Figure 4 Leglock while they were in mid-air.
The big campfire in the centre of the area was then lit. Iino led everyone in a group haka dance.
Endo & Takao ignored it and went to bathe inside some drum cans filled with water. Endo took off his tights inside the drum so Katsumata stole them. HARASHIMA & Yoshimura dunked Nakamura into one of the cans then kicked it over.
Nakamura fled to the river while the other wrestlers chased after him with fireworks. MAO helped him by setting up a stepladder for Nakamura to dive onto his opponents.
Unfortunately for Nakamura, Yoshimura caught him and hit the Fire Thunder onto the ground. HARASHIMA then hit the Somato and got the three count. The match lasted just over 1 hour and 20 minutes.
After the match, HARASHIMA gave a goodbye speech for the campsite. Nakamura went to go hide in one of the drum cans so he could finally have some peace and quiet.

By the end of today’s show, Royce Chambers felt like he made the right choice coming to DDT. A bonus Battle Royal was whittled down to Chambers facing against Konosuke Takeshita. A confident Takeshita told Chambers to wave bye bye when he threw him over the ropes. But Chambers skinned the cat and launched himself into a Canadian Destroyer before throwing Takeshita out of the ring. Chambers thought he had won when Danshoku Dieno was found to be still in the match after getting laid out earlier. Dieno did the Danshoku Driver but Chambers kicked out. Chambers got the upper hand and pinned Dieno with a Shooting Star Press to win the match. His prize was Dieno’s Right To Challenge Gauntlet! He thought it was a gardening tool. Hisaya Imabayashi explained the Gauntlet to him and said he can use it to challenge for either the KO-D Openweight Title or the Saitama Super Arena Sword. Chambers said he would like to challenge Tetsuya Endo for the Sword.
Daisuke Sasaki stole the DDT UNIVERSAL Title belt from Chris Brookes again! This time he did it before their tag match and Sasaki entered the ring with it over his shoulder. He gave it back to Brookes, claiming he only picked it up to give it over to him. MAO armed himself with a squeeky duck toy attached to a small stick. It didn’t protect him from Mad Paulie much. Sasaki used the duck toys to confuse Brookes and then distracted the referee. With the ref’s back turned, Sasaki gave Brookes a Low Blow then pinned him with a School Boy when the ref came back. MAO blessed Brookes with the Duck Stick to heal him after the match.
Chambers good string of results continued with him pinning Makoto Oishi in the 6-Man Tag match. Shunma Katsumata kept shouting “Heat Wave!” after every move.
The constant shouting of phrases was also in the match before that. Tetsuya Endo kept ordering Soma Takao to do the Gin And Tonic to his opponents. Mizuki Watase was able to counter that move but Takao eventually pinned him with La Magistral Cradle. In the post match interview Endo said he saw the perfect Gin And Tonic today. Takao agreed with him.
Match #2 began with Akito complaining about Dieno’s behavior. He does not want to have a match today where Dieno sexually harasses him. He asked Yukinori Matsui why he never stopped the sexual harassment in the first place! Akito then demanded Matsui to be more strict for this match. Matsui was taken aback by this but agreed to be more strict but only for today. He lived up to his promise and prevented Dieno from using his lewd moveset. Dieno lost his cool and gave Matsui a Low Blow from behind. Dieno then put a whistle in Akito’s mouth and told him to blow it whenever he feels good. Yukio Naya grabbed one of the cameras to film Dieno assaulting Akito. Matsui tried to step in but he doubled over still in pain from the Low Blow. Yuki Iino enjoyed watching Dieno’s antics and joined in. Matsui finally called off the match while the sound of the whistle echoed over the room.
Keigo Nakamura went into today’s match with a positive attitude. He did well against Masahiro Takanashi, getting a good chance with a Swan Dive Missile Dropkick. Takanashi thought outside the box to get the win. He pulled down the shoulder straps from Nakamura’s ring gear and tangled his arms with them. That left Nakamura powerless to kick out of Takanashi’s cradle.
For ages there has been a foreign trainee working ringside at DDT shows and I could never find out who he was. Finally he was introduced to the world today. Jordan Heatley is 25 years old and from Australia. He had an exhibition with Naomi Yoshimura before the show. He applied an Achilles Tendon Lock but Yoshimura calmly pulled himself over for a rope break. Yoshimura then won with a Camel Clutch. Afterwards it was announced that Heatley will have his debut match on 2nd April!
During intermission, Imabayashi promoted next week’s Rojo Pro Wrestling match at Saitama Super Arena. Suddenly Dieno attacked Imabayashi, complaining that he didn’t find out he was on the show until it was announced. He asked if that was Sanshiro Takagi’s idea to book him behind his back? Well it’s time for a coup in the locker room! He wants wrestlers to join his army to take on the DDT Army at Saitama Super Arena on 11th March!

7. KO-D Openweight Title: Masato Tanaka (c) defeated MAO with the Sliding D (21:49). *V1 for Masato Tanaka.
Today MAO welcomed Masato Tanaka into his world of fucked up wrestling. The challenger used a lot of what he learned in Europe to keep Tanaka on his toes early in the match. A out of the ring battle had Tanaka take control with a Brainbuster on the floor. MAO got a lucky break when Tanaka accidentally knocked Yukinori Matsui out of the ring with a Lariat. MAO’s friends from the DDT Sauna Club gave him plastic cases and rubber ducks to attack the champion with. He did a Spaceman Plancha out of the ring just to smash a box over Tanaka’s head. MAO then set a table up next to the ring but Tanaka regained control with a Death Valley Driver on the ring apron. Tanaka then put MAO through the table with a Diving Body Press. MAO kept on fighting and even hit the Ultima Weapon as a shoutout to Mike Bailey for a nearfall. MAO did a backflip to avoid the Sliding D but was caught out with a Lariat. Despite his spirited attempt to get back up, Tanaka finished MAO off with the Sliding D.
After the match Tanaka said he enjoyed MAO’s weird wrestling style. He also explained that he won the match today because he hid some of the rubber ducks in his tights, guarding his waist from MAO’s attacks! It turns out Tanaka was inspired by MAO’s weirdness to try something weird himself and it worked. Tanaka wants to do more weird wrestling with MAO some day. The two shook hands and MAO left the ring while Tanaka waited to find out what he’s doing next.
None of the Right To Challenge Gauntlet holders came out so Hisaya Imabayashi decided the next KO-D Openweight Title defence will be on 20th March. He asked Tanaka if there was someone he wanted to fight. Tanaka did. He called out Konosuke Takeshita! When Tanaka entered DDT he had three wrestlers in particular that he wanted to fight. He already went through HARASHIMA and Tetsuya Endo. Now Takeshita is next, it doesn’t matter that he lost his match earlier in the show. Tanaka has won the D-Ou Grand Prix, became the KO-D Champion and just now defended it. If Takeshita thinks he is at the top of DDT then he should fight Tanaka. If he doesn’t have the confidence then he should get out of here. Takeshita accepted the challenge. He respects Tanaka as both a wrestler and a trainer at Gold’s Gym so he would like to fight him for the title.
Takeshita’s defeat that Tanaka mentioned was of course the DDT UNIVERSAL Title match. The allure of being the first champion of this brand new title pushed Takeshita and Chris Brookes to take bigger risks. Brookes laid Takeshita across two railings near the entrance and Double Stomped Takeshita through the gap. Later Takeshita hit an Avalanche Air Raid Crash onto the turnbuckle. Brookes kicked out of the Fable and went into a back and forth with his opponent. It ended with Brookes all of a sudden pinning Takeshita with Death By Roll-Up, that Figure 4 Backwards Bridge pin that’s been used more and more across the wrestling scene lately. Brookes is now the 1st DDT UNIVERSAL Champion!
Sadly Brookes did not get much time to celebrate. His victory speech was cut short by an ambush from Daisuke Sasaki! He had lost that Saitama Super Arena Sword earlier in the show and figured that he should get a title belt to replace it. So he stole the UNIVERSAL Title from Brookes! However Sasaki handed the title to a reporter backstage because he doesn’t want to be a thief. This little stunt was just a warning. Sasaki said that Brookes never got his permission to come live in Japan! When Brookes got his belt back he called Sasaki a stupid wrestler.
The Saitama Super Arena Sword did leave Sasaki’s grasp but it still belongs to a DAMNATION wrestler at the end of the day. The Business Alliance between DAMNATION and #STRONGHEARTS was victorious over ALL OUT and Chihiro Hashimoto in the Elimination Tag Match. Hashimoto was eliminated along with El Lindaman when Yuki Iino Speared the both of them off the ring apron. Sasaki lost the Sword to Akito when Akito pinned him right after Sasaki pinned Iino. But Endo and T-Hawk stood tall together and had Akito beaten. Endo made Akito submit, meaning that Endo now holds claim to the Sword and the Saitama Super Arena main event spot! That’s not all. We were told that the alliance between these two units will spread all across the world from Japan to America to Mexico to Europe. Puma King is partnering with them in Mexico for example. But there is one place where #STRONGHEARTS have not been in yet. Saitama Super Arena! They asked Imabayashi to book them for “WRESTLE PETER PAN 2020”. He eventually agreed to it after some back and forth about keeping their schedules good and proper.
The DAMNATION/#STRONGHEARTS alliance had a good day across the card with CIMA & Soma Takao also winning a 3 Way Tag Match. The crowd gave Takao “BIMA” chants, referencing his gimmick from his college club wrestling days. Some of his opponents even called him that as a joke. Takao got the last laugh by using the Mad Splash to pin Makoto Oishi. CIMA even used the Venus & Iconoclasm combo to set it up.
For the safety of the audience during the Coronavirus epidemic, all of the wrestlers in Match #3 were given special protective masks to wear while they wrestled. The masks were used specifically for this match because it would also stop Danshoku Dieno from doing the Lip Lock. The protective masks were all Super Sasadango Machine masks which led to the wrestlers getting confused and losing track over who they were supposed to fight. During the confusion, Dieno noticed that there were more people in the ring than a 3 Vs 3 Match is supposed to have. Everyone took off their mask and found out the man in the middle of the ring was a complete stranger. They asked who he was and the lights went out. When they came back on the ring was empty and the show continued like nothing happened.
Saki Akai was surprised to find out that Miranda Gordy was in attendance. She came out after the Eruption match and interrupted Akai’s promotion for their match in Nagoya tomorrow. Gordy asked for a handshake but then kicked Akai and attempted to Power Bomb her. Kazusada Higuchi and Yukio Sakaguchi came to the rescue and Gordy fled the ring, saying “See you tomorrow” to Akai as she walked away. Akai complained that Gordy does not know Japanese courtesy.
The opening 3 Way Match did not last long. Keigo Nakamura was able to get Yukio Naya out of the ring but he was quickly flattened by Mad Paulie afterward.
Shunma Katsumata had his first match back from surgery today. Imabayashi gave him a welcome back gift. It is a No DQ Match against Maku Donaruto on 3rd March!
Sakaguchi & Iino were revealed as the new producers for YaroZ. Their first message is they will accept any wrestlers who want to graduate from BOYZ because YaroZ is the more exciting place to be.
The newest DDT trainee to make his debut is Hideki Okatani. The 19 year old will have his first match on 20th March. He said he will do his best to get his first win over a senior wrestler as soon as possible.
Another fresh face to show up today is DDT’s new ring announcer Kazunori Kosuge.
A bunch of special guest names were announced for “WRESTLE PETER PAN 2020” on 7th July. Kenny Omega, Naomichi Marufuji and Meiko Satomura will all be there!
As a preview for “WRESTLE PETER PAN 2020”, a special Street Wrestling match will be held at Saitama Super Arena on 11th March.

7. KO-D Openweight Title: Masato Tanaka defeated HARASHIMA (c) with the Sliding D (20:18). *HARASHIMA fails in V2. Masato Tanaka becomes the 74th KO-D Openweight Champion!
There is now no doubt about it, Masato Tanaka is the strongest in DDT! He went through the D-Ou Grand Prix undefeated and today wiped out the only blight in his record from that tournament to become the new KO-D Openweight Champion! It wasn’t easy though. HARASHIMA threw everything he had against Tanaka from the Somato to the Firebird Splash. The ace up Tanaka’s sleeve as always was the Sliding D. He used it to great effect, finding even the smallest of openings to use the move. The climax of the match saw HARASHIMA go for the Swan Dive Somato. Tanaka avoided the move and popped his opponent with the Sliding D, then hit the finisher two more times from behind and from the front to finish him off.
When the KO-D Title was wrapped around Tanaka’s waist, he told HARASHIMA he does not know how many defences he will last but he is looking forward to finding out. Hisaya Imabayashi informed Tanaka that his first defence is against MAO on 23rd February. Suddenly Pokotan came down but the mascot costume was only partially completed. Imabayashi pulled Pokotan’s head off to reveal it was MAO in disguise! MAO told Tanaka “Just bring it, bitch!” He tried to attack Tanaka with a Hurricanrana but Tanaka countered it into a Power Bomb. Tanaka warned MAO that there is a lot of things to be done between themselves and HARASHIMA before the next title match. Tanaka promised he will wear the KO-D Title with pride in any ring he climbs into while he is champion.
Tension between Yuki Iino & Chihiro Hashimoto was so bad that the team couldn’t even decided whose entrance music to use, so the sound guy had to mash their songs together. They both went for the Haka Elbow early on Yuki Ueno but got in each other’s way. The champions Nautilus took control until Hashimoto got the better of Ueno, leaving Iino facing off with Naomi Yoshimura. Unfortunately for the challengers, Yoshimura wore down Iino with the Drill-A-Hole Piledriver and ultimately won with the Shonenba. Ueno thanked Iino & Hashimoto for the match then said Nautilus’ goal is to defend the KO-D Tag Team Titles at Saitama Super Arena this summer.
There was confusion when Kazuki Hirata’s music played but nobody stepped through the curtain. Keigo Nakamura eventually made his way down to ringside to tell Yukinori Matsui that Hirata had gone missing. Naomichi Marufuji then made his entrance carrying Hirata over his shoulders! It turned out Hirata tried to ambush Marufuji backstage but failed in a major way. Hirata apologised to Marufuji and promised he was now Reborn. He offered a handshake but it was a trap for another sneak attack to start the match. Marufuji easily took control, forcing Hirata to bring out the Hirata GO! glasses. Marufuji knocked off the glasses and broke them over his knee. Just when he was about to finish the job, Hirata begged for a break so he could tell him something important. Hirata wrote a letter telling Marufuji how seeing him wrestle on TV gave him hope to live at a time when he had nothing. His one wish is to dance with Marufuji! Two Hirata GO! glasses found their way into the ring and Hirata convinced a hesitant Marufuji to dance with him. Then he hit an Enzuigiri and tried to Cradle Marufuji for a near fall. Marufuji stayed calm, danced with Hirata again and knocked him out with the Ko-oh knee strike. When Hirata came to, Marufuji stuck out his hand and asked him his name. This isn’t the reason he came to DISASTER BOX and DDT but after today, Marufuji will remember Hirata’s name.
The Right To Challenge series returned with three prizes on the line in a Ladder Match. Yasu Urano, Daisuke Sasaki and (a bare assed) Shinya Aoki all grabbed an envelope that hung above the ring. After the match Imabayashi told them to open their envelopes because one of them was different than the others. Sasaki and Aoki just has the regular Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere Contracts but Urano found out he held a Right To Challenge At Saitama Super Arena Contract! Imabayashi gifted Urano with a decorative sword that represented the KO-D Title shot at “WRESTLE PETER PAN 2020” in June.
Imabayashi explained that the rules for the sword are the same as the regular Right To Challenge Contract. If Urano loses to another wrestler then he loses the sword and the title shot to that wrestler. Sasaki asked if he could use his own contract to challenge Urano for the cool looking sword? Imabayashi figured he could. Sasaki shouted he was cashing in his contract and he immediately attacked Urano to start the match. They scrambled for two minutes until Sasaki rolled through Urano’s Hurricanrana to pin him for the three count. Sasaki celebrated with the sword by doing the Fire Festival pose. Backstage Sasaki said he wants to win the KO-D Title at Saitama Super Arena then propose to Candice LeRae at NXT or Raw or Smackdown or AEW or wherever it is she works.
The trio of Kazusada Higuchi, Yukio Sakaguchi & Saki Akai are now called Eruption. They entered together with matching white entrance gear and a unit video. Their debut as a new force in DDT saw them defeat ALL OUT. Sakaguchi & Akai took out Konosuke Takeshita & Shunma Katsumata with Apron PKs while Higuchi pinned Akito with the Doctor Bomb. When asked what the meaning of Eruption is, Sakaguchi told reports to just look at the name and their entrance video. Higuchi believes DDT as it is now is not the DDT he likes so Eruption will go on a rampage. Akai said they will create something new with DDT, something that is fun for the three of them.
A stylist from the Gold Shibuya hair salon worked on the hairstyles for every wrestler involved in Match #2. Yes even Super Sasadango Machine. The fans chanted “ikemen” at the wrestlers during the match. Sasadango was unmasked when MAO grabbed his “hair” and gave him a Snapmare. It turned out Sasadango’s real hair underneath the mask was also styled. Toru Owashi got some hairspray to freshen it up. They then helped the stylist live out his dream of being a pro wrestler by having him do The People’s Elbow on MAO. Hiroshi Yamato broke the pin and put Sasadango in position for MAO to hit the Cannonball 450.
Soma Takao has really taken a liking to using Elbow Smashes lately. He used a bunch of them followed by a Rolling Elbow on Keigo Nakamura for a nearfall. When Nakamura got back up, Takao took him out with a Running Elbow Butt.
