Who knows how much of this will stick in the next few days. I’m writing this while hearing the Olympics are likely to get postponed until next year. If that’s going down then no way does the pro wrestling schedule in Japan for the rest of the year remain unscathed.

Konosuke Takeshita, Chris Brookes and Yuki Ueno were going to be in Tampa along with the Tokyo Joshi Pro crew but that’s not happening now. The three of them will instead wrestle each other back in Japan. Show them what America will miss lads.

Keisuke Ishii pulled out a modified version of his Double Arm Extreme Driver to beat Kouki Iwasaki. The Double Arm Extreme Driver TURBO has Ishii folding his opponent’s arms then dropping him from the side rather than straight down, sort of like an Emerald Flowsion.

Eruption’s entry into Ganbare☆Wrestling saw them defeat THE HALFEE. The home team put up a fight but they were wiped out when Saki Akai gave Moeka Haruhi the Quetzalcoatl, Yukio Sakaguchi knocked down Shuichiro Katsumura with the God’s Right Knee and Kazusada Higuchi pinned Washi Sakurai with a few Lariats. Higuchi admitted it is a big deal to beat THE HALFEE. Eruption are here to beat everybody in Ganpro. Akai said nobody in Ganpro has any glamour or charm. Ken Ohka stepped on the apron to confront Eruption but they left the ring.

The reunion of Yumehito Imanari & Baliyan Akki was like those of two brothers. They were happy to see each other again. Imanari tried to show off a Taekwondo style against Mike Bailey but was quickly shown to be out of his depth. Bailey crushed him with the Ultima Weapon and Shinichiro Tominaga hit a Moonsault Press afterwards for the win.

Nobody was more motivated about today’s show than Shota. He was so motivated that he got pinned immediately by Miss Mongol. Shota convinced his opponents to have a rematch by singing to them. Mongol again pinned him with a Lariat as soon as the bell rang. Later in the show Shota & HARUKAZE returned to the ring demanding another rematch. This time he ducked Mongol’s Lariat and a proper Osaka Style Wrestling rules match took place. Mongol accidentally hit Kuishinbo Kamen with the Lariat and HARUKAZE pinned him with a School Boy. After the match Kamen sat on a chair and refused to move in protest. Shota & HARUKAZE lifted him out of the room. Mongol then sat on the chair in protest. Shota & HARUKAZE couldn’t lift her so she eventually left by herself.

The BASARA rookie Tetsuo Usui threw everything he had at Ohka. But he was dropped on his head with the Hurricane Driver then forced to tap from a Crab Hold. Getting to run the show today reminds Ohka why he loves pro wrestling. He said humans have lived for thousands of years so they will never lose to a virus! Pro wrestling, no wait, Ganbare☆Wrestling will destroy the Coronavirus and save the world! Wash your hands!

1. Rika Tatsumi defeated Sena Shiori with the Twist Of Fate (7:27).
2. Yuna Manase, Yuki Kamifuku & Mina Shirakawa defeated Pom Harajuku, Mahiro Kiryu & Haruna Neko when Shirakawa pinned Harajuku with the Implant DDT (7:57).
3. Hyper Misao defeated Nodoka Tenma with La Magistral Cradle (6:43).
4. Maki Itoh & Raku defeated Miu Watanabe & Suzume when Raku pinned Suzume with the Doctor Yellow (10:46).
5. Yuka Sakazaki, Mizuki & Hikari Noa defeated Shoko Nakajima, Yuki Aino & Mirai Maiumi when Mizuki pinned Maiumi with the Diving Foot Stomp (13:11).
6. Miyu Yamashita defeated Natsumi Maki with the Crash Rabbit Heat (10:59).

Third time was not the charm for Natsumi Maki. She is now 0-3 in singles matches against Miyu Yamashita. Maki left her guard down after hitting a Thrust Kick, allowing Yamashita to catch her with the Backward Kick. When Maki struggled to get back to her feet, Yamashita hit the Crash Rabbit Heat to win. After the match Maki refused to shake her opponent’s hand and walked off angry. Yamashita said she wants to have a fourth match with Maki but only when one of them has a championship. That way they will both be stronger when the time comes.

Yuka Sakazaki is feeling lonely because she no longer has any Princess Title defences coming up. She just has to wait for a new contender to appear.

Maki Itoh didn’t want to shake her opponents’ hands only because she wanted to avoid close contact. She also wanted to take this match seriously in preparation for her Princess Tag Team Titles match with Raku next week.

Both Hyper Misao and Nodoka Tenma drank milk during their match to recover from each other’s moves. Tenma took so long to drink a liter of milk that Misao pinned her to win.

Rika Tatsumi will release a solo photobook on 3rd May.

A few things about this show. It is being held at Saitama Super Arena empty arena style. This was the plan before the Coronavirus situation appeared. The DDT Extreme Title bout will not be the only match happening. Atsushi Onita will be there expecting to have a Current Blast Death Match of some sort. After a four hour training course, Matsumoto created her ramen dish and was gifted a 500 yen coin by the chef. The match name is sort of misleading. Originally Ganbare☆Wrestling began in 2013 and regularly ran shows for the year. It then took a break in the first few months of 2014 to relaunch as a “major sports league” in April of that year. So this match is the 6th Anniversary of the relaunch.

Ganpro celebrates its anniversary with a return to the promotion’s deepest feud. Minoru Fujita and the Tomodachi-gun unit were a thorn in Ken Ohka’s side from 2015 to 2016. Now Fujita has revived it for the special occasion with one of the original members Hagane Shinno (he was wrestling under the name Madoka back then). Keisuke Ishii gets to find out for himself what this unit was like to fight.

Each match is worth 2 points for a win and 1 point for a draw. If at the end of the tournament there is a tie for first place then a bonus One Count Fall match will take place featuring one chosen wrestler from each contesting team. A prize will be given to the winning team but it has not been determined yet.

Maki Itoh is happy to have somebody as pure as Raku teaming with her. She will bring the colour of Itoh out of Raku. Miu Watanabe is still feeling frustrated over losing to Raku recently. The result makes her want to spring into defending the tag titles. Rika Tatsumi started a fight with Itoh which is stronger, Tatsumi’s “diamond hips” or Itoh’s “big head”. Tatsumi is also still bitter over losing a singles match to Itoh last year.

After being away from the KO-D Openweight Title scene for a while, Konosuke Takeshita is excited to be chosen as the next challenger. He remembers his dad once renting an FMW video tape with Tanaka’s matches on it. Ever since then Takeshita has followed Tanaka’s career. Now his name will be written into the Reiwa era of Tanaka’s wrestling history. Tanaka was honored to hear this but he still thinks he will beat Takeshita. He is from the land of athletes worthy of being athletes because of his background with Gold’s Gym. When the match takes place, Tanaka will make the fans think he is still strong. He named the four wrestlers he thinks are the symbols of DDT: HARASHIMA, Tetsuya Endo, Daisuke Sasaki and Konosuke Takeshita. Tanaka is one win away from having a clean sweep against all of them.

Sasaki briefly stole the DDT UNIVERSAL Title right after Chris Brookes became the first champion. He gave the belt back and apologised for his thievery. He promised to reflect on his actions and will only claim the title belt by winning it as an athlete. Brookes does not believe Sasaki is being honest. He thinks Sasaki is strange like an old dog. His promise is to put Sasaki out of his misery and maybe even stab him. Brookes warned that their match for the UNIVERSAL Title will not be a true representation of his ring skill. It will be a dirty match on both sides.

A lot more is happening on this show. Naomichu Marufuji returns to wrestle for DISASTER BOX, the Business Alliance of DAMNATION & #STRONGHEARTS are pitted against the newest DDT unit Eruption and 19 year old Hideki Okatani has his debut match.

Raku now has a win under her belt and she got it at Miu Watanabe’s expense. With Maki Itoh’s guidance she also wants the Princess Tag Team Titles too. Itoh agreed to team with her because she wants to see if her hard head is tougher than Rika Tatsumi’s ass.

Miyu Yamashita and Natsumi Maki continue their series of singles matches. Yamashita was happy with Maki’s performance in their previous match. Now she will see if Maki has gotten even better in the third match.

Yuka Sakazaki will not be at the show. The popular guess online as to why is she may be on the next AEW PPV happening in Chicago the same weekend.

Three Right To Challenge Gauntlets have new owners. Akito, Naomi Yoshimura and Yuki Iino now all have a chance to get a KO-D Openweight Title whenever they want, as long as they don’t lose any matches before they cash it in. Akito is thrilled to be back in the title chase. He’s been positioned as a tag team wrestler after he lost the DDT Extreme Title. With the younger generation gaining progress in DDT, Akito doesn’t want to get left behind. Yoshimura thinks it is not a coincidence that the colour of his gauntlet is the same as when he cashed in on Konosuke Takeshita two and a half years ago. He is still tempted to go hunting for the Saitama Super Arena Sword. Yuki Iino said he will cash in his shot when the champion is as weak as possible.

The champion Masato Tanaka should be looking over his shoulder but right now his attention is solely focused on MAO. After winning the 3 Way Tag with Tetsuhiro Kuroda, Tanaka stood off with MAO. Suddenly MAO Dropkicked Tanaka and gave him the Michinoku Driver II. MAO admitted he was a little scared today but now he discovered he is too strong to be feeling scared.

The recent changes in the wrestling scene has given Danshoku Dieno plenty to think about. He doesn’t think Sanshiro Takagi is right in saying that DDT will stay the same after NOAH got purchased by CyberAgent. Things will be different and for Dieno it is a chance to still be an influential figure to carry DDT forward. In order to do this he needs to be a champion again. He asked Yukio Naya to form a team with him because Naya is big and comes from a yokozuna bloodline. Naya turned him down because he already has Cody Hall as a tag partner. Then during the match something unexpected happened. Hall turned on Naya! He hit him with a Lariat then Dieno gave his own tag partner Hiroshi Yamato a Brainbuster with Hall also Spearing Yamato on the way down. Dieno and Hall then attacked Yukinori Matsui causing the match to end via No Contest. Dieno got on the mic and said he has a “sex” partner with a yokozuna bloodline after all. He has the son of Scott Hall! Together Dieno and Hall are The Hole Brothers!

Kazuki Hirata had his entrance gear stolen before his match. He accused Antonio Honda behind the theft because he has done this kind of thing before. But much to everyone’s surprise it was Takeshita who came out wearing the stolen costume! Takeshita wrestling a match so low on the card had Hirata asking everyone if this was the main event.

At the start of the show Takagi told the fans DDT will not be any different with his new job at NOAH. The only change is Takagi will now be twice as busy.

1. Mahiro Kiryu & Haruna Neko defeated Hikari Noa & Sena Shiori when Kiryu pinned Shiori with the Spinebuster (6:38).
2. 3 Way Match: Rika Tatsumi defeated Yuki Kamifuku and Suzume when Tatsumi pinned Suzume with the Twist Of Fate (9:16).
3. Natsumi Maki defeated Pom Harajuku with the Backlash (7:23).
4. Maki Itoh defeated Raku with the Itoh Deluxe (9:07).
5. Miyu Yamashita & Yuna Manase defeated Miu Watanabe & Mirai Maiumi when Yamashita pinned Maiumi with a Backward Kick (7:59).
6. Goodbye Akemi ~ Setsubun Death Mask Of ONI Match: Shoko Nakajima defeated Akemi Daredasore with the Northern Lights Suplex (8:30).
7. Lana Austin, Nodoka Tenma & Yuki Aino defeated Yuka Sakazaki, Mizuki & Mina Shirakawa when Austin pinned Shirakawa with the Hangman DDT (13:59).

The Tokyo Joshi Pro debut of Lana Austin is off to a good start. She pinned Mina Shirakawa in the main event after a Headbutt followed by the Hangman DDT off the ropes. After the match Yuka Sakazaki called Austin into the ring and asked if she wants the Princess Of Princess Title. She pulled the belt away from Austin, asked for a handshake then tried to bite Austin’s hand as a prank.

For Akemi Daredasore’s final match under her current gimmick, she came up with a stipulation that would also get rid of any evil spirits that might have possessed herself and Shoko Nakajima. Why else would Nakajima have given her such a bad ring name to use over the last 30 days? This way Daredasore will return to being Hyper Misao with a completely refreshed spirit. The Setsubun Death Mask Of ONI Match could only be won if a wrestler wore an Oni mask while pinning or submitting their opponent. Also setsubun beans were allowed to be used as weapons. Daredasore chased Nakajima out of the room by throwing the beans at her, then locked the door to trap “the demon” outside. Nakajima was able to get back into the ring, withstand more of Daredasore’s cheating and win the match.

Maki Itoh has figured out why Raku can never win her matches. She has no purpose as a pro wrestler. Itoh has a purpose because when she wins matches, she inspires the fans to go back to their jobs and work even harder even if they hate their jobs so much that they want to die. She asked Raku what her purpose is? Raku said she wants to be like Itoh. She loses so much that she wants to win. Itoh’s advice to Raku is to stop simply wanting to win and start actually winning.

Thunder Rosa will return to Tokyo Joshi in March. Her current dates are the 1st and 8th of March. No word yet on if she will defend the International Princess Title but a challenger will certainly pop up.
