4. DAMNATION Vs ALL OUT!: Akito & Yuki Iino defeated Tetsuya Endo & Mad Paulie when Nobuhiro Shimatani attacked the referee (2:26).
4a. Rematch: Konosuke Takeshita, Akito & Yuki Iino defeated Tetsuya Endo, Mad Paulie & Nobuhiro Shimatani when Takeshita pinned Shimatani with a Crucifix Pin (11:01).
5. Kota Umeda “Mad Dog” 7 Match Series – 5th Match: Shinya Aoki defeated Kota Umeda with a Foot Choke (6:42).
6. Shigehiro Irie & Mizuki Watase defeated Meiko Satomura & Daisuke Sasaki when Irie pinned Satomura with the Beast Bomber (14:15).

The unusual pairing of Meiko Satomura and Daisuke Sasaki could not put aside their differences against RENEGADES. Sasaki kept trying to avoid being tagged in whenever he could. Satomura hit him hard when she was able to tag him. Sasaki did wrestle seriously against Shigehiro Irie & Mizuki Watase but when the moment was right for him to betray Satomura, he took it. Sasaki hit Satomura with a Thrust Kick and left her for dead so Irie could hit her with the Beast Bomber. Satomura still had strength left in her and she proved it by kicking out of the Missile Kick Piledriver combo from RENEGADES. But another Beast Bomber from Irie put her down for the count. Irie told Satomura that there is a difference in power between men and women. She will be destroyed in Korakuen Hall to the point that she won’t get back up.

When Satomura left ringside, Irie’s promo was interrupted by a video message from Danshoku Dieno. In the message Dieno said he will get revenge on Irie for attacking him but he won’t be a coward. He will fight Irie face to face! Dieno’s music hit and RENEGADES faced the entrance waiting for Dieno to come out. Dieno snuck into the ring from a different angle and blinded everyone with Milk Mist! He then gave Irie the Danshoku Driver. Dieno got on the microphone and acted like he did what he promised. He attacked Irie head on. Now they have to wait until 23rd September for the Survival 3 Way Match. Dieno wonders if Satomura will survive today’s defeat and continue fighting? Will Irie rip apart two people in the ring? Whatever will happen, Dieno will come out of it as the KO-D Openweight Champion!

Kota Umeda kicked away Shinya Aoki’s hand when he was offered a handshake. Bad move! Aoki took Umeda’s kicks and grappled him down to the canvas. Umeda gained momentum with a Dragon Suplex, a Brainbuster and a PK but as soon as Aoki trapped him in a Foot Choke it was all over for Umeda.

Aoki thanked Umeda for the match then talked about the other reason why he stepped into the DDT ring today. Aoki wants to challenge HARASHIMA for the DDT Extreme Title! Aoki is aware that HARASHIMA will get to choose the match stipulation so he asked for the match rules to be sent to him within a week. He will accept either a hand written message or a PDF document. Tetsuya Koda and Hisaya Imabayashi argued over when to book the match and agreed to have it at the 21st October Korakuen show. HARASHIMA welcomed Aoki to the harsh world of EXTREME!

The DAMNATION Vs ALL OUT match was called off when Nobuhiro Shimatani interfered and struck Yukinori Matsui with the DAMNATION placard from the DNA Draft. Konosuke Takeshita stood up from the commentary table and confronted Shimatani. It’s not time for Takeshita’s official return from injury but he asked Koda if the match could restart as a 6-Man Tag with him and Shimatani both included. The match restarted and while Takeshita got his hands on Shimatani, DAMNATION quickly targeted his injured shoulder. It was clear that Takeshita wasn’t ready to return but he was still able to pin Shimatani with a Crucifix to get ALL OUT the win. Takeshita told Akito & Yuki Iino about his frustrations while he was out of action. Now that he is back he wants to wrestle at the rest of this week’s DDT shows.

Jun Kasai used his goggles to protect his eyes from Antonio Honda’s Shining Gongitsune attack. After he won the 3 Way Match, Kasai again got in trouble for talking about the Dramatic General Election while standing inside the ring.

You don’t use La Magistral Cradle on Toru Owashi. You just don’t! Masahiro Takanashi learned that the hard way. The return of DISASTER BOX is getting Owashi his groove back.

Ryan Davidson’s final match on his first tour of DDT ended in defeat to MAO. He got time to say goodbye to the crowd and promised he will be back.

Soma Takao ignored Makoto Oishi’s handshake after their match.

Keisuke Ishii won his match with a Running Knee Strike instead of the usual Kneel Kick.

DDT gave its first update for the Dramatic Election standings. DAMNATION are leading the Unit Election with 261 votes, Shuten-dōji are second with 185 votes and The Compliance are third with 128 votes. Over on the individual side, Maki Itoh has stormed ahead of everyone else with 244 votes! The rest of the field making up the current Top 20 have between 68 down to 14 votes.

1. Matsunaga Formula Drunk Match ~ Lumberjack Customers Bring The Alcohol Death Match ~ Keisuke Ishii Heisei Last Summer Special: KUDO Vs Yuki Ueno ended in a No Contest (6:27).
1a. Rematch – Complete Settlement Finger Sumo Rule: Yuki Ueno defeated KUDO by 3 Count (11:55).
2. Wrestling Rules: Yukio Sakaguchi defeated Kuishinbo Kamen with an Achilles Tendon Lock (R2 4:44).
3. Double Main Event: Akito Vs Isami Kodaka ended in a Time Limit Draw (20:00).
4. Double Main Event II – Falls Count Anywhere Customers Bring The Weapons Death Match: Violento Jack defeated Shunma Katsumata with the Package Piledriver onto a Can Board (18:59).
5. Bonus Track: Akito, Shunma Katsumata & Yukio Sakaguchi defeated Nobuhiro Shimatani, Yuki Ueno & Yuki Iino when Katsumata pinned Iino with a Diving Foot Stomp (3:38).

Today was ALL OUT’s turn to have a go at Beer Garden. At this point in the week a few wrestlers have gotten more than their fill of alcohol. They all wanted Shunma Katsumata to drink with them after the main event. Yukio Sakaguchi stepped in and told everyone it was not good for Katsumata’s health to be forced into drinking alcohol. Nobuhiro Shimatani, Yuki Ueno & Yuki Iino all decided to attack Sakaguchi, Akito & Katsumata causing an impromptu match to close out the show. Sakaguchi used Kuishinbo Kamen’s top as a cape to lure Iino into a bullfight. Iino crashed into the turnbuckles. Akito put Iino into a choke and positioned him for Katsumata to hit the Diving Foot Stomp for the win. Konosuke Takeshita joined the rest of ALL OUT to celebrate with one more drink.

Katsumata’s scheduled match was a Fans Bring The Weapons Death Match against Violento Jack. There were already tables, ladders and barbed wire boards placed in the ring but the wrestlers also got different items from the audience to use on each other. The match found its way over to the counters and Jack gave Katsumata a Package Piledriver through a board with empty cans attached to it. After the match Jack said he will never forget Katsumata’s name after today and he appreciated his hard work. Looks like Katsumata has made a new amigo and he is scary as hell!

Akito and Isami Kodaka spent 20 minutes of grappling back and forth without a winner determined. Before the match began Kodaka went around having a beer bash like Stone Cold Steve Austin. Meanwhile Akito decided to wrestle barefoot. In the final minutes both of them tried to find transitions out of a Headlock to get a flash pin but the time ran out without anybody getting pinned. Kodaka told Akito he doesn’t want to wrestle against him much because the fatigue he gets from it is unlike any other time he wrestles. However he noticed that Akito is still in the King Of DDT tournament. If Akito can win it and become the KO-D Openweight Champion then maybe the next time they fight they will both be standing at the top of DDT!

Nobody told Kuishinbo Kamen about Takeshita’s injury. Also nobody told him that Sakaguchi was his new opponent. He was so surprised when he stood across a large scary man in the ring today. He didn’t want to fight Sakaguchi so he instead took out a picture book to read. Sakaguchi took the book and wanted to fight. Kamen agreed to have a match made up of three rounds, two minutes each. Kamen convinced Sakaguchi to do his comedy spots with like the pose, the hop and the Low Blows. Sakaguchi knocked down Kamen with a High Kick but Yukinori Matsui was recovering from the Low Blow. Takeshita got into the ring and everybody gave each other Leg Kicks. Kamen but Sakaguchi in a Leglock that had no effect. Sakaguchi reversed the move and Kamen immediately tapped out. Sakaguchi felt so bad about making Kamen upset after the match that he gave him back his book and asked him to read it to everyone. Takeshita brought out a large version of the book for the audience to see and everyone had a fun time reading it.

Plans for Tomomitsu Matsunaga’s opening match were changed when most of the participants were declared too drunk to wrestle. The match became KUDO Vs Yuki Ueno in a Lumberjack match where the Lumberjacks forced anyone thrown out of the ring to drink more alcohol. The match reached its most obvious conclusion when both KUDO and Ueno got too drunk to wrestle. The solution to this problem was to determine the winner with a game of Finger Sumo. While that went on the other wrestlers found new drinking games to pass the time. They did a lottery where fans pulled out names. They then brought out a dartboard with everyone’s name on it and got Yuni (how was he allowed in here?) to throw a dart and pick the next drinker. Ishii’s name was far larger than anyone else’s. Back at the Finger Sumo, the theme song to “Over The Top” played. KUDO tried to put Ueno in a Cross Armbreaker position but Ueno outmanoeuvred him and pinned down KUDO’s thumb for the three count.

The wrestlers also drank during Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi’s public yoga session. I think they may have a problem.

6. The Usual Sandman-like Match: Ken Ohka defeated Yuki Ueno, Danshoku Dieno, Mike Bailey, Jason Kincaid, Facade, Antonio Honda, Chinsuke Nakamura, Muscle Sakai, Keisuke Ishii, Tomomitsu Matsunaga, Yasu Urano, Yumehito Imanari, Shota, Choun-Shiryu, DJ Nira, MAO, Sumo Rock, Rekka, DT-YUTA and Nonoko when Ohka pinned Ueno with the Fire Spear (16:42).

A recurring theme of the show involved Ken Ohka trying to convince Yuki Ueno that he is a good wrestler. It wasn’t until the end of the main event when Ohka finally got his message across to the rookie. It was a free for all set to the “Enter Sandman” song and everyone was encouraged to drink and throw beer everywhere as if they were all The Sandman. Some of the unexpected people showing up included Mike Bailey, MAO, DT-YUTA, Nonoko, Chinsuke Nakamura (carrying a homemade US Title belt) and Sumo Rock (Kazusada Higuchi imitating The Rock). The ring eventually filled up with empty beer cans and Ohka fought his battle with Ueno while everyone else was outside. Ueno hit Ohka with the Fire Spear for a nearfall. In return Ohka gave Ueno an Avalanche Brainbuster onto the cans then hit the genuine Fire Spear to win the match. When the dust was settled, Ueno told Ohka he still thinks Ohka isn’t physically powerful or mentally serious but Ohka did win the match today thanks to the crowd’s support. Ohka really is a strong wrestler and Ueno will make it his goal to surpass him!

Super Sasadango Machine did not make an appearance on the show. Instead his former alter ego Muscle Sasaki made a return. He held a secret dark PowerPoint Presentation that was only to be seen by the people in attendance. Afterwards the Muscle Producer Amon Tsurumi was invited to come out. Hisaya Imabayashi appeared and said he too busy preparing for his match before the show so he wasn’t going to be Tsurumi today. Instead the role of Tsurumi was played by Konosuke Takeshita!

Tsurumi/Takeshita revealed that if Muscle can draw 4,000 people to Sumo Hall next February then he believes it will attract the attention of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games Creative Team. It is Tsurumi’s dream to join that team. The other wrestlers asked how can they achieve the goal of 4,000 fans. Yasu Urano suggested that only pure wrestling will work but everybody in Muscle are middle-aged and not pure wrestlers. Tsurumi/Takeshita revealed his secret plan. They need a big guest to appear on the show. They need… Pikotaro! Yes, the man behind “Pen Pineapple Apple Pen” is just the man they need. Unfortunately booking him is impossible so they’ll have to make do with an impersonator.

Actor and former Muscle wrestler Kazuyoshi Sakai came out dressed as Pikotaro. Tsurumi/Takeshita challenged the wrestlers to face him in a 60 second match. If they can win they will be given 10,000,000 yen! A bunch of wrestlers all tried to chase down Sakai and pin him but he survived the time limit every time. Soon a second Pikotaro appeared and it was Hisaya Imabayashi! The two impersonators agreed to team up and face the final participants, Muscle Sakai and Antonio Honda. When the two sides fought, one more Pikotaro appeared. This time it was Kazusada Higuchi! He stabbed both Sakai and Honda in the head with his Pen And Anton Muscle Pens, allowing the other Pikotaros to win the match.

As already mentioned above, Ueno wasn’t convinced that Ohka is a big deal in wrestling. Danshoku Dieno asked Ueno to watch Ohka fight against DJ Nira so he could change his mind. It was a bad match because Nira was so weak that he couldn’t put up a fight. When Ohka gave him a Snapmare into a rest hold he decided to let it go because it wasn’t worth it. Ohka apologised to everyone and left the ring. Daisuke Kiso didn’t know what was going on so he called off the match.

The Lariat Pro Wrestling match featured the theme songs of many famous Lariat users. The order of songs started off with “Power Hall”, “Sunrise” and “J”. Things then went in a different direction when “Crash” played and everyone performed Kenka Kicks. Then the music changed to “SAMURAI” and everybody did Hip Attacks. Next up was “Beautiful Flight” which made everyone do Leg Lariats. At this point everybody realised they were no longer doing Lariats so they asked for a song to get them back in track. “RAIN MAKER” came on. Suddenly Yukinori Matsui was overwhelmed with enough power to gave the Rainmaker to Keisuke Ishii! He did the post but Ishii got back up and he German Suplexed Matsui. “Miserarete” was the final song to play but at this point everybody was too hurt to continue. Ishii decided to change the rule and made it so the next person to hit a Lariat would win the match for their team. Antonio Honda rallied everyone as he prepared to do the move but he stopped and told a Gongitsune story instead. He poked everybody in the eye and eventually hit Yumehito Imanari with a Lariat to bring the match to an end.

The two authority figures in the DDT family were scheduled to fight each other in the pre-show. However both Hisaya Imabayashi and Tetsuya Koda agreed that they had no reason to do so. Neither were motivated by any dislike of the other so they had to come up with something to add some heat to the match. Imabayashi brought up how their match last year was watched by his two sons on DDT UNIVERSE. They cheered him on until he lost. That made his younger son cry. It also made his older son think he is weak ever since. Imabayashi should win so he can regain his son’s respect. He then brought up Koda’s favourite idol Maria Makino. That set off Koda and the two argued enough that they now had a reason to fight. Imabayashi hit the Backblow because it is the finishing move of his kayfabe uncle Goro Tsurumi. Koda survived it and put Imabayashi in a Katahajime to make him give up. After the match Imabayashi got a phone call from his older son. He said his dad sucks and he shouldn’t come home. He then hung up.

Takeshita Injured, 6-Man Tag Titles Vacated, Idol Festival, King Of DDT Round 2, Isami Vs Sekimoto

August 1, 2018

Konosuke Takeshita dislocated his shoulder during Saturday’s show in Fukuyama. He was diagnosed with cuff tear damage and will be out of action for at least two months. The good news is he does not need surgery to recover. As a result of this, ALL OUT have decided to vacate the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles and the planned title match on 7th August has been cancelled. A decision on when and where to crown a new team of champions will be made at a later date so at least DDT doesn’t have to worry about Kendo Kashin for a while.

15. King Of DDT 2018 – Round 1: Tanomusaku Toba defeated Yuki Ueno by TKO with the Backhand Blow (6:30).
16. King Of DDT 2018 – Round 1: Kazuki Hirata defeated Naomi Yoshimura with a Power Bomb Switchback (8:59).

The biggest King Of DDT tournament ever kicked off with 16 1st Round matches in one evening. Kazuki Hirata scored an upset win in the main event by beating Naomi Yoshimura. He countered Yoshimura’s Shonenba into a DDT then turned the Throwaway Power Bomb into a Cradle for the three count. Hirata called Yoshimura scary but Hirata has fought wrestlers like Yukio Sakaguchi who are 100 times more scary. Hirata got to dance to “TOKYO GO!” in full to celebrate his victory.

Today’s show aired on AbemaTV in place of the usual “DDT LIVE! MAJI MANJI” episode that takes place on Tuesdays. That meant everybody was treated to the recurring Kazusada Higuchi table spot! Higuchi and Tomomitsu Matsunaga brawled around the room and had a chop battle on one of the Shinjuku FACE bar counters. A table was positioned below and Higuchi tried to Power Bomb Matsunaga through it. Instead Matsunaga Back Body Dropped Higuchi into the table. Matsunaga came close to victory with the Back Drop but Higuchi recovered and got the win with the Doctor Bomb. Higuchi thanked Matsunaga for handling his all of the power he gained from sumo today. He asked to shake Matsunaga’s hand but Matsunaga wanted them to drink beer instead.

Saki Akai came real close to beating her friend Masahiro Takanashi but a rollover ended her chances. Akai hit Takanashi with the Rookie Award making an upset win seemed certain. When Akai went on top of Takanashi for the pin and leaned over to hook the leg, Takanashi trapped Akai in a Crucifix and rolled her onto her shoulders for the flash three count. Akai is the first woman to ever compete in King Of DDT. She originally thought she was never included because she was the only active female wrestler on the roster but now there are more women appearing in DDT she realises that is a bad excuse on her part.

Sanshiro Takagi and MAO used their match to prepare for DDT’s return of Campsite Pro Wrestling later this year. The two are becoming rivals over the new generation of Street Wrestling clashing with the old. Takagi brought out boxes of stuff to use as weapons while MAO appeared equipped to the gills with his own homemade weapons. Takagi convinced Yukinori Matsui to allow the weapon usage because of the 5 Count Rule. MAO also encouraged a lot of outside fighting away from the ring because he promised Matsui they would return to the ring at the 19 count. Lawn tables were smashed, plastic boxes were destroyed and bicycles were crashed around the room as the match progressed. The end came when MAO countered Takagi’s Sit Down Himawari Bomb into a Rolling Cradle for the pin. After the match a surprised Takagi realised how big of a mess they caused and worried about how long the AbemaTV broadcast will be delayed so the ring could be cleaned up. Takagi thanked MAO for the match and asked for a handshake but it was a ruse so Takagi could give him the Stunner. He told MAO that the Campsite Pro Wrestling show on 2nd September will be the deciding battle between them! MAO said Takagi is older than his mother but he is excited to see the scary Sanshiro Takagi coming back.

HARASHIMA praised Mad Paulie for a tough match. He squeezed Paulie’s hand while telling him how much fun he had with the challenge. Now HARASHIMA is looking forward to facing Toru Owashi in the 2nd Round because it is a Disaster-BOX reunion. When Owashi beat Mizuki Watase the match before (with the Diving Body Press he hasn’t done in years), Owashi simply said “HARASHIMA, I’m waiting” on the microphone.

The show opened up with an unexpected result when Akito defeated KUDO. Akito ducked the Buzzsaw Kick and put KUDO in an Anklelock. Akito then positioned himself on top of KUDO and pinned him for three. Akito said KUDO can now spend his time concentrating on his restaurant.

The 2nd Round matches on 4th August are Akito Vs Keisuke Ishii, Mike Bailey Vs Shunma Katsumata, Yukio Sakaguchi Vs Soma Takao, Toru Owashi Vs HARASHIMA, MAO Vs Masahiro Takanashi, Tetsuya Endo Vs Kazusada Higuchi, Antonio Honda Vs Daisuke Sasaki and Tanomusaku Toba Vs Kazuki Hirata.

Konosuke Takeshita greeted the audience at the start of the show. He revealed he dislocated his right shoulder at the Fukuyama show last Saturday and will be taking time off to recover. He does not need to go under surgery so he hopes to return in two to three months time. As a result of this the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles held by ALL OUT have been vacated.

When the news first came out, DDT decided to award Naomi Yoshimura with a 1st Round bye. However during today’s show in Osaka, Kazuki Hirata lost his Right To Challenge Gauntlet and became eligible to enter the tournament. A confrontation between Hirata and Yoshimura during today’s show led to Hirata taking Takeshita’s spot in the 1st Round match against Yoshimura this Tuesday.

7. Shigehiro Irie 10th Anniversary Memorial Match: Shigehiro Irie defeated Keisuke Ishii and Soma Takao when Irie pinned Takao with the Beast Bomber (17:11).
-. Emergency Decision Match: Shigehiro Irie defeated Kengo Takai with the Beast Bomber (11:59).

From humble beginnings in Dera Nagoya Pro Wrestling all the way to becoming the KO-D Openweight Champion in DDT, it’s been a crazy ten years of wrestling for Shigehiro Irie. Today in Osaka he got to celebrate his 10th anniversary with a match against both Keisuke Ishii and Soma Takao in a Team Dream Futures reunion. At first Takao kept his distance and allowed Irie and Ishii to fight each other but he soon got into the mix. Irie stopped Takao from giving Ishii the Gin And Tonic. Ishii struck Irie with a Thrust Kick but Irie hit back with the Beast Bomber. Ishii was knocked into the corner and Irie hit a Running Cannonball followed by another Beast Bomber for the win.

Irie thanked his opponents for the special match and he also thanked everyone for coming despite the horrible weather in the region. Irie told Ishii and Takao to continue their ways to revolutionize pro wrestling. During the celebration ceremony, Irie’s mentor Kengo Takai asked Irie if they could have a match together for Irie’s 15th anniversary because it will also be Takai’s 25th anniversary when it happens. Irie told him they could do the match right now! The ring cleared and the two collided to start an impromptu match between student and teacher. Takai hit Irie with a chair and Splashed him through a table at ringside. Irie kicked out of the Dera Hof Bomb and crushed Takai with the Cannonball Drop before winning with the Beast Bomber. Irie admitted afterwards that it wasn’t a good idea for him to have another match. Takai agreed. Irie thanked Takai for teaching him because it was him who raised Irie to become a pro wrestler.

Daisuke Harada expressed regret that he wasn’t able to wrestle against Konosuke Takeshita today. Takeshita was pulled from the show with a shoulder injury and was replaced by Yuki Ueno in their tag match. Harada praised Ueno for stepping in and would be happy to wrestle him again.

Due to Takeshita’s injury, an announcement about his removal from this year’s King Of DDT tournament took place during intermission. Sanshiro Takagi then invited Kazuki Hirata to the ring. Since Hirata lost his Right To Challenge Gauntlet earlier in the show, he was now eligible to enter the King Of DDT. However Hisaya Imabayashi stepped in and explained that he already decided to give Takeshita’s 1st Round opponent Naomi Yoshimura a bye into the next round. Yoshimura came out and said a bye or a match against Hirata doesn’t make any difference to him. Hirata said he doesn’t mind when people laugh at him but he won’t stand for it when people think he’s a small fish. He’ll be the small fish who puts Yoshimura to shame when he knocks him out of the 1st Round! Hirata accepted the open spot and his match with Yoshimura will be the main event on 31st July!

Daisuke Sasaki didn’t want to say too many kind words about Irie today because DAMNATION hates RENEGADES. Instead Sasaki told everyone that somebody from DAMNATION will win King Of DDT, win the KO-D Title and end Irie’s career in the next 10 years!

6. KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles: Konosuke Takeshita, Akito & Shunma Katsumata (c) defeated Meiko Satomura, DASH Chisako & Cassandra Miyagi when Takeshita pinned Miyagi with the German Suplex (17:33).
*V1 for ALL OUT.

The Sendai Girls brought it to ALL OUT today with a difficult title defence for the champions to overcome. DASH Chisako climbed the entrance gate at the stage and dove onto ALL OUT below. The champions were rattled but recovered enough to fight back. Konosuke Takeshita got to clash with Meiko Satomura yet the finish came down to Takeshita pinning Cassandra Miyagi with the German Suplex.

After the match Takeshita thanked the Sendai Girls for the match. He then told Satomura that he wants to fight the strongest wrestlers be they man or woman. That means he wants to fight her in a singles match some day. When the Girls left, “Sky Walk” suddenly played over the speakers and Kendo Kashin came out. He invited Sanshiro Takagi, Ken Ohka and even Yukinori Matsui to join him in the ring and stand across from ALL OUT. Takeshita asked if this was the next team to challenge them for the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles. Kashin said he will be one of the challengers along with NOSAWA Rongai and Keisuke Okuda. There was no reason for the others to be there. Everyone was confused but Kashin handed everyone a beer and asked for a toast. He then threw the beer at ALL OUT and announced their title match will take place on 7th August.

A fan vote was made to determine a special weapon for the Hardcore Tag Match. The AbemaTV audience overwhelmingly voted for Option D: Nobuhiro Shimatani wrapped in barbed wire. He didn’t enjoy it. Meanwhile it looked like the past problems between Daisuke Sasaki & Jun Kasai were water under the bridge. They gelled together as a team as they brawled with Shigehiro Irie & Jason Kincaid. Cracks began to form when Kasai tried to stab Irie in the head with bamboo skewers but hit Sasaki instead. Later Kasai and Sasaki brought in a board with knife blades sticking out of it. Sasaki placed it on Irie and Kasai went for the Pearl Harbour Splash. Sasaki then thought it would be funny to flip the board over so Kasai landed on the knives! An angry Kasai attacked Sasaki and gave him the Reverse Tiger Driver. Irie grabbed Sasaki and gave him a Fire Thunder through a ladder at ringside. Kincaid hit the Philosopher’s Stomp and Irie hit the Beast Bomber to win the match.

The time finally came for Ken Ohka to get his ass kicked. Tenshin Nasukawa was healthy enough to come in and literally kick Ohka in the ass. But first he wanted a warm up. A dummy with Ken Ohka’s face was brought out and Nasukawa kicked its head off. The challenge for Ohka was to take the kick up the backside and go ten seconds without crying. Nasukawa kicked Ohka, Ohka tried to tough it out but was quickly reduced to tears. Ohka accepted defeat and realises it is another painful lesson for him to learn in order to make pro wrestling a major sport.

With Kota Umeda missing the show due to injury, Makoto Oishi claimed he was now the most exciting person on “DDT LIVE! MAJI MANJI” and the undisputed Mr. Maji Manji. He challenged the other wrestlers in the 4 Way Tag to bring their best to impress him. That backfired when Mike Bailey & MAO did their work to beat him. Oishi’s partner Danshoku Dieno was too busy chasing after Yuki Ueno to stop the pin. MAO credited Oishi’s hard work and Ueno’s support for the victory. Bailey & MAO have a lot of momentum after winning the KO-D Tag Team Titles on Sunday. MAO just wants everyone to ignore the fact they don’t have a team name yet.

Today was Kazuki Hirata’s first proper appearance on Maji Manji so it was the first time the show got to experience the “TOKYO GO” shenanigans.

Nobuhiro Shimatani didn’t want to get covered in barbed wire for the Hardcore Match so he wanted that role to be given to the loser of the opening match he was in. He became that loser anyway.

A draft to determine where the DNA wrestlers will move to when DNA closes down will take place on 14th August.

6. Irie-gun Vs Naomi Kingdom!: Keisuke Okuda & Akira Jo defeated Shigehiro Irie & Mizuki Watase by Referee Stoppage when Okuda used a Torso Sleeper Hold on Watase (12:39).
7. DNA Naniwa Summit Decisive Battle!: Naomi Yoshimura defeated Yuki Ueno with the Throwaway Power Bomb (22:36).

On the penultimate DNA show, Naomi Yoshimura gave a heartfelt speech after the main event. Being from Osaka himself, Yoshimura wanted many people to come see DNA in this area for the final time today. He and Yuki Ueno have had many matches against each other. Today he could feel Ueno’s momentum as they wrestled and normally that would be deserving of a handshake so they could reconcile their differences. Maybe this rivalry deserves a happy ending because Ueno and also Kota Umeda will soon be moving up to DDT. Yoshimura has also decided his future path. As long as Yoshimura wrestles he cannot lose! With a rebellious heart on his side Yoshimura will never lose again! Today is Yoshimura’s happy ending!

The match between Irie-gun and Naomi Kingdom turned into a ringside brawl with wrestlers getting throw into the seats on two sides of the room. Keisuke Okuda countered Mizuki Watase’s Back Drop into a Sleeper Hold. Okuda then wrapped his legs around Watase to leave him helpless until the referee called for the bell. Another brawl broke out after the match which led to Shigehiro Irie chasing Okuda & Akira Jo out of the ring.

A knee injury prevented Kota Umeda from wrestling on the show so Ryota Nakatsu from BASARA was brought in as his replacement. Nakatsu took on Sammy Guevara in a bout that was too close to call. Neither could get the win by the time the time limit expired. Nakatsu thanked Guevara for the match and promoted BASARA’s show at Osaka Okinawa Hall on 22nd July. He forgot to bring tickets so he advised everyone to go buy them at the nearest convenience store so his employers won’t get angry at him.

A missed Spear from Yuki Iino accidentally hit Konosuke Takeshita instead of MAO. From there Iino was outnumbered and taken down by a Missile Dropkick from Rising HAYATO. MAO then hit the Cannonball 450 for the win.

*Akari Suda becomes the 1,327th champion.
5. Kota Umeda “Mad Dog” 7 Match Series – 4th Match: Dick Togo defeated Kota Umeda with the Modified Cross Facelock (11:12).
6. DDT Extreme Title – Blindfolded Hidden Breasts Death Match: HARASHIMA (c) defeated Antonio Honda when he stripped off Honda’s bra (13:42).
*V3 for HARASHIMA.

Maybe it was skill or maybe it was blind luck but HARASHIMA defeated Antonio Honda in the Blindfold & Bra Match. At one point Honda rolled out of the ring and HARASHIMA tried to chase after him. Honda pulled the shirts off of Yuki Iino and Nobuhiro Shimatani when they stood too close to him. They were both wearing bras underneath even though it wasn’t mandatory for them to do so. Back in the ring Honda applied an Octopus Hold to HARASHIMA and succeeded in unhooking his bra. HARASHIMA defended himself well so Honda rolled him into a Japanese Leg Roll Clutch. That was a grave mistake because the positioning allowed HARASHIMA to unhook Honda’s bra and strip it right off him by kicking out of the hold, resulting in a victory for HARASHIMA! After the match he said he hasn’t decided on the next challenger for the DDT Extreme Title. For now his focus is on winning the KO-D Openweight Title from Shigehiro Irie on 22nd July!

Another good effort from Kota Umeda that just wasn’t enough in his latest match of the Mad Dog Trials. Dick Togo’s ring awareness allowed him to trap Umeda in the Cross Facelock several times. The one that made Umeda finally tap out was transitioned into a modified version of the move that looks similar to the Dick Killer. Togo thinks Umeda can still grow into becoming the so called “Mad Dog” that he claims to be but for now he is still in the stage where he should be establishing a style for himself. His advice to Umeda is to wrestle more and more because pro wrestling is more than a career, it’s an experience.

The Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title was up for grabs in a 10 minute long Battle Royal. The champion KUDO had Masahiro Takanashi fighting by his side against the rest of the field but the chaos was too much to handle. Nobuhiro Shimatani found his moment to strike and he pinned KUDO with a School Boy to win the title. Everyone ganged up on him until Saori Anou found her spot to win the belt with a Fisherman Suplex. KUDO had a change of heart and decided to protect Anou by fending off those who attacked her including including his friends Takanashi and Saki Akai. Anou didn’t appreciate KUDO’s aid and she kicked him out of the ring. She got into a back and forth with Akai until Akai pinned her with a Diving Cross Body. Shimatani got the title back with a Small Package with two minutes left to go. Konosuke Takeshita made his presence felt by giving Shimatani a Brainbuster onto the title belt. Takeshita got the pin and stayed as champion for the final minute of the match.

The Battle Royal was over but there were still people who wanted the Iron Man Title. Yuki Iino tried to pin Takeshita with a School Boy outside the ring but he kicked out. Danshoku Dieno then ran out and gave Takeshita the Lip Lock in the ring. He went for the pin but Sanshiro Takagi suddenly broke it up by throwing a chair at Dieno! Takagi invited this week’s special guest Akari Suda from SKE48 down to the ring so she can become the champion! Yukinori Matsui was against the idea but immediately changed his mind when Suda shook his hand. Takagi gave Takeshita a Stunner then Suda locked him into the Ocotpus Hold, the dreaded finishing move of World Idol Pro Wrestling star Octopus Suda! Takeshita clearly did not give up but Matsui ruled he was knocked out and rewarded the Iron Man Title to Suda! Takagi warned Suda that she may be attacked by people who want the championship at any time. Suda asked Takagi if he can protect her if that is the case.

The 3 Way Trios match wasn’t held under Hardcore rules but MAO still used a plastic toy hammer on some of his opponents during the match. Sammy Guevara and Facade ran circles around the rest of the participants and floored them all with dives out of the ring. Guevara then finished off Daiki Shimomura with the 630 Splash to give Irie-gun the victory. Tetsuya Endo wants MAO to know that their KO-D Tag Team Titles match on 22nd July won’t be a Hardcore match so he better leave the weapons at home. Mad Paulie stole some pictures of Facade from the merch stand. Endo scolded Paulie until he found a picture of Saori Anou among them.

The BIG LOVE between Daisuke Sasaki and Asuka is strong for the most part. Well there was that moment when Sasaki accidentally hit Asuka with a Clothesline but that honestly was an accident. Asuka recovered and countered Makoto Oishi’s Miracle Ecstasy into a Choke Slam of her own. She then pinned Oishi with the Moonsault. Sasaki begged Asuka to forgive him after the match. What he did was the biggest tragedy of this century and he promised to never do it again. Asuka said “BIG LOVE!” to Sasaki and they hugged. When asked about their upcoming singles match against each other at Korakuen Hall, Sasaki told everyone to look forward to it because they will show love to each other in the ring.

With the future of DNA up in the air, the Naomi Kingdom are looking to the future and it involves finishing off their rivals on the final show. Keisuke Okuda doesn’t care where they end up because he isn’t afraid of anything. If all of the juniors below him have fear then they should stop wrestling. Naomi Yoshimura wants to take down Yuki Ueno once and for all before DNA is done. After that he will be free to do what he wants whether it is in DDT, DNA or anywhere else in the company.

Akito’s submission skills got him out of a jam. He reversed a Figure 4 Leg Lock from Yuki Ueno to grab the victory.

Danshoku Dieno didn’t let his one show suspension from the main Maji Manji card let him down. He came out for his dark match with cans of beer ready to get the crowd fired up! He was also drinking to promote the Beer Garden shows taking place in August. He invited Rekka to join in the fun and they both wrestled while drinking. It got a bit out of control when they spat beer with each other and used the beer cans as weapons.
