5. Ganbare☆Wrestling Vs Katsumura-gun: Ken Ohka & Yumehito Imanari Vs Shuichiro Katsumura & Takeshi Okada

Gota Ihashi is now at a crossroads in his life. He has asked DDT and Ganbare☆Wrestling to be removed from their upcoming shows for the time being. The cause of this happened after the Riki Choshu produced “POWER HALL 2018” show two days ago. Ihashi wrestled in the main event teaming with Choshu and Kota Ibushi to beat Tatsumi Fujinami, TAKA Michinoku & Daisuke Sekimoto. That sounds like a great thing for Ihashi. But afterwards he read the show reports and found comments from Choshu saying that Ihashi should not be doing pro wrestling. This has led to a crisis in confidence for Ihashi and he is considering leaving the business. Ken Ohka wants to get Ihashi out of his depression and he thinks a match between them is just what Ihashi needs to prove Riki Choshu wrong. Ohka wonders why Choshu even put Ihashi in his main event if he didn’t know what to expect from him? (*cough*so he could book Ibushi*cough*) Ihashi Vs Ohka will happen but not until 3rd February due to Ohka’s busy schedule. Ihashi is not looking forward to it.

Because of Ihashi’s situation, his Ganpuro match against Yukihiro Abe has been called off. Abe will take on a new opponent to be announced.

7. D-King Grand Prix – A Block: HARASHIMA (8) defeated Tetsuya Endo (7) with the Somato (19:28).

A Block

1. HARASHIMA (8)
2. Konosuke Takeshita (7)
-. Tetsuya Endo (7)
4. Keisuke Ishii (6)
-. Joey Ryan (6)
-. Jiro Kuroshio (6)
7. Masahiro Takanashi (2)

B Block

1. Shuji Ishikawa (8)
2. Kazusada Higuchi (6)
-. Mike Bailey (6)
-. Daisuke Sasaki (6)
-. Soma Takao (6)
6. Akito (4)
-. Yukio Sakaguchi (4)

The final is now set. HARASHIMA Vs Shuji Ishikawa will face off to be the first D-King Grand Prix winner! The last match in Block A was the main event. HARASHIMA and Tetsuya Endo fought in a winner takes all bout. Endo missed the Shooting Star Press and HARASHIMA hit the Somato to win. In the last Block B match, Ishikawa had to fight off Kazusada Higuchi with all of his power. Ishikawa kicked out of the Doctor Bomb but needed more than the Fire Thunder to win. He had to bust out the Giant Slam to put Higuchi away.

The show ended with the two finalists facing off in the ring. Ishikawa said the Grand Prix was a fulfilling experience. He and HARASHIMA are from the same generation so it is kind of fitting that the final is down to them. HARASHIMA said everyone knows Ishikawa is strong. This match will be the heyday of their generation so let’s do their best.

The only threat to the top spot left in Block A was Keisuke Ishii but Konosuke Takeshita shut him down. Takeshita countered the Double Arm DDT into a Koji MAX Hold to make Ishii submit. Takeshita said his lack of ability is what prevented him from reaching the final. Ishii may have lost but he may have finally found the motivation that he’s been lacking for so long. Fighting a champion like Takeshita has fired him up and next time, he will beat Takeshita!

Daisuke Sasaki’s chance of reaching the final was dashed by Mike Bailey. Speedball was willing to put his grudge with DAMNATION aside but Sasaki rejected his handshake. Sasaki brought in chairs but Bailey kicked them into his face and pinned him with a Buzzsaw Kick. Sasaki didn’t take the loss well. He said the 2018 of Daisuke Sasaki was now over and everyone now has to wait for the 2019 of Daisuke Sasaki. The interviewer tried to tell him 2018 has only begun but Sasaki wouldn’t listen. Bailey called Sasaki a smart wrestler but he came prepared. Bailey was able to win because he thought over and over what Sasaki was going to do to him and planned around it.

The remaining group matches only had pride left on the line. Joey Ryan used an unconscious Daisuke Kiso to aid him in beating Masahiro Takanashi. Ryan placed Kiso’s limp body on top of Takanashi’s back, placed Kiso’s hand next to his crotch and used his dong strength to make Kiso give Takanashi the Yoshi Tonic. Joey then Super Kicked Takanashi for the three count. Takanashi promised that next year KUDO will enter the tournament to make up for his poor record.

Soma Takao used the newly renamed Official Endless Waltz as a counter to Yukio Sakaguchi’s Cross Armbreaker. Takao did okay in this tournament and he has another round robin tournament coming up in All Japan to look forward to. He hopes to do well over there too. Sakaguchi does not have an excuse for his overall performance other than he admits he is weak. He will write more about it on his blog so everybody better read it or else!

Producer Danshoku Dino changed the plans for the opening match. Instead of a 7 Way Match, it was now a one night tournament called the P-King Grand Prix featuring the other 6 wrestlers while he gets to be the referee. The Round 1 match ups were Kazuki Hirata Vs Mad Paulie, Akito Vs Antonio Honda and KUDO Vs Toru Owashi. The catch was all three matches took place at the same time and all held under two count rules. Paulie, Akito and KUDO all won at the same time. They advanced to the 3 Way Elimination Final that used 1 count rules. Paulie pinned Akito and KUDO pinned Paulie afterwards. Afterwards KUDO said he regrets not entering the D-King Grand Prix but he now found something else he wants. KUDO wants to challenge Yuko Miyamoto for the DDT Extreme Title! Dino granted his request.

MAO promises that the NωA will perform their best hits for their final match together on 28th January.

6. Road To D-King GP Special Single Match: HARASHIMA defeated Kazusada Higuchi with the Somato (11:53).
7. KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles: KUDO, Yukio Sakaguchi & Masahiro Takanashi defeated Konosuke Takeshita, Akito & Diego (c) when Takanashi pinned Diego with the Takatonic (21:28).
*ALL OUT fail in V2. Shuten-dōji becomes the 32nd KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Champions!

Diego’s plan to keep defending the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles until he leaves Japan came to an end today. Shuten-dōji isolated him from the rest of ALL OUT, finishing him off with a combination of a Backspin Kick, the Right Knee Of God and the Takatonic. Masahiro Takanashi rubbed the victory in Diego’s face afterwards, telling him if Shuten-dōji fights ALL OUT in a future title match Diego won’t be there for it. Diego tearfully apologised to his partners for letting them down. He was still glad to wrestle in Hakata one more time before he goes home.

In the first preview of the D-King Grand Prix, HARASHIMA toppled Kazusada Higuchi. Although Higuchi lost, he said afterwards that the match made him remember everything about their previous matches together. He had forgotten how intense it is to wrestle HARASHIMA and all this loss did today was wake him up. He will knock down everyone in his group who stands in his way. HARASHIMA noted he has now wrestled and beaten Higuchi in three singles matches. While he was happy with today’s result he realises that his body may not hold up for the entire tournament if he has too many matches like that. He will have to think more about his upcoming match strategies from now on.

The 4 Way Match was changed in the last minute to become a Scramble Bunkhouse match with a barbed wire bat placed inside the ring. Sanshiro Takagi was placed onto a carriage and wheeled into a nearby stairway. MAO would have won the match when he hit the Cannonball 450 on Danshoku Dino but Daisuke Sasaki broke the pin with a chair assisted Diving Elbow Drop. Sasaki then used the barbed wire bat as part of the Cross Facelock to make MAO give up.

5. Independent World Jr. Heavyweight Title: Daisuke Sasaki (c) defeated Diego with La Mistica Cross Facelock (15:07.
*V3 for Daisuke Sasaki.
6. Keisuke Ishii & Shigehiro Irie defeated Konosuke Takeshita & Yasu Urano when Ishii pinned Urano with the Kneel Kick (24:59).

Keisuke Ishii celebrated a successful box office in his family’s hometown of Tokorozawa. In the main event Ishii teamed with Shigehiro Irie fresh off of Irie’s latest excursion to America. They were victorious over Konosuke Takeshita & Yasu Urano after the Beast Bomber followed by the Kneel Kick kept Urano down for the count. Ishii was happy with how the match turned out and he thanked the other three for getting involved. Ishii also asked Irie to team with him again because they make for a strong pairing. Irie told Ishii that they will be opponents on 23rd November for the KO-D 10-Man Tag Team Titles match at Korakuen Hall. Irie will have to fight him because he wants to be a champion.

Diego failed to win the Independent World Jr. Heavyweight Title from Daisuke Sasaki. The two butted heads after the match and said some words in the heat of the moment after the match. Diego can’t remember what was said because he took so much damage during the match. In his post-match interview, Sasaki recalled the first time he met Diego. He was wrestling in Bolivia and came across this strange person who was able to speak to him in Japanese. He kept telling him he really wanted to go to Japan and wrestle there. Their paths would cross again a few times until Diego, then known as Guanchulo, finally made his way to Japan to wrestle for DDT. Sasaki’s next title defence is against Shinichiro Tominaga in Ganbare☆Wrestling. However, Sasaki wants to defend the belt against TAKA Michinoku somewhere else instead.

Today was KUDO’s first match back after the concussion from last month. It was also Kota Umeda’s first DDT match since September 2016. Shuten-dōji held a toast for the successful returns of them both. KUDO said that at last all four “sake drinks” are in stock again. Now it is time to go get some championships!

NωA invited Keisuke Ishii’s father to become the newest member of their group. He thanked them for the offer but turned them down because he wants to stay in Tokorozawa with his family.

Everybody entering the Fresh Ariyama Greengrocer Cup Rumble came equipped with a different vegetable provided by the match sponsor. Each wrestler had to take a bite out of their vegetable when they entered the ring and tell the audience how delicious it tastes. Tetsuya Endo didn’t do it so Mad Paulie had to stuff an onion into his mouth to prevent him from being disqualified. Paulie’s prize for winning the match was a bunch of matsutake mushrooms. Endo had to stop him from immediately eating all of it.

Makoto Oishi, Sanshiro Takagi and Toru Owashi met in the ring at the start of the show to promote the KO-D 10-Man Tag Team Titles match on 23rd November. Takagi brought up the mystery captain of the YaroZ team and accidentally let slip that it is Shiro Koshinaka. He and Owashi quickly fled the ring when he realised what he did.

8. KO-D Tag Team Titles: HARASHIMA & Naomichi Marufuji (c) defeated Yukio Sakaguchi & Masahiro Takanashi when Marufuji pinned Takanashi with the Shiranui (19:23).
*V3 for HarashiMarufuji.

KUDO watched on from the ringside corner as his Shuten-dōji brothers fought HarashiMarufuji for the KO-D Tag Team Titles. Last time, KUDO was accidentally knocked out and concussed by Naomichi Marufuji. This time Yukio Sakaguchi used KUDO’s Hell Guillotine in the corner in tribute to KUDO. However HARASHIMA was there to save his partner from defeat. Even the Right Knee Of God from Sakaguchi that has plagued HARASHIMA all month wasn’t enough to keep him down today. Marufuji cut off Masahiro Takanashi with a Thrust Kick and then the Shiranui for the finish. Marufuji had a brief confrontation with KUDO & Sakaguchi after the match but Shuten-dōji left the ring quietly. Marufuji took the microphone and then asked why nobody else has come out to challenge the champions? He began talking about bringing the tag titles to NOAH and then called for Konosuke Takeshita to come down to the ring. Takeshita did so with Akito by his side. Marufuji was surprised to see Akito. They once had a singles match together in Sportiva Entertainment back in 2012. Akito reminded him of the match and thanked him for it. Takeshita told Marufuji that today’s main event gave him goosebumps and now he definitely wants to take the tag title from him. Marufuji said he would have to look at his NOAH schedule but he & HARASHIMA will accept the challenge. They all agreed to have the match on 23rd November in Korakuen Hall. Marufuji was hesitant to confirm it but once he got the diary up on his phone and saw the date was empty he guaranteed he will be there. Akito promised Marufuji he will tweet “Tomorrow is the tag title match” to him the day before the show so he won’t forget.

The KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles are active again and now belong to ALL OUT! The decision match saw Diego pin Daisuke Sasaki with the VHS to win his first serious championship in DDT. The win means a lot to Diego because it happened in Shin-Kiba 1st RING, the same venue where DDT held a goodbye show for him in May 2014. Diego then announced he will be returning home to Chile in December. He has only two months left in DDT but he promises to defend the 6-Man Tag Titles with ALL OUT until it’s time to leave. Sasaki attempted to ambush Diego but was foiled. Diego then picked up the Independent World Jr. Heavyweight Title and said he wants to win it from Sasaki and bring it with him to Chile! DAMNATION later blamed their defeat on their private LINE group. Sasaki and Shuji Ishikawa like using it but Mad Paulie wasn’t originally included and Tetsuya Endo isn’t on there much. That was the difference maker today.

Kazusada Higuchi & Antonio Honda became jealous of Mike Bailey & MAO’s friendship. They tried to mimic their opponent’s double Asai Moonsault but failed and slipped off the ropes. Bailey & MAO did the move correctly and went on to win. Bailey afterwards said he will beat Tetsuya Endo on 23/11 and Taiji Ishimori at the Differ Cup on 28/11. MAO was sad the match was over. But he and Bailey will team again so look forward to it! MAO thinks maybe their team name can be Mike Inoue.

The rest of the show was all about the Danshoku Commandment series. Producer Danshoku Dino decided to pit a bunch of DDT wrestlers against each other in a series of 5 minute matches and reward them points based on the results. Dino would listen to suggestions and complaints from the wrestlers in the ring before deciding the match-ups. Makoto Oishi wanted a match that would improve his skills. As much as he enjoys singing and dancing for NωA he is also concerned about the unit’s poor win-loss record. Dino decided Oishi would face his NωA partner Shunma Katsumata because he wanted to see what would happen when two friends fought each other. Kouki Iwasaki requested a match against Dino. This was something he never wanted to ask for until he watched Dino’s matches from the P Playful Series. Dino declined and instead put him against Soma Takao. Kazuki Hirata wanted to pick on somebody younger than him so he asked for Nobuhiro Shimatani. Dino said no. A better idea would be to bring Hirata back to his roots and face Keisuke Ishii in a Monthly Young Communications reunion. Tetsuya Endo also wanted a match against Shimatani. Dino wouldn’t allow it because he was putting himself against Shimatani. This left Endo having to fight Toru Owashi in the final match. Three of the bouts lasted the full five minutes. Only Takao and Ishii were able to win their bouts in quick fashion. Oishi almost had Katsumata beaten with the Miracle Ecstasy. Dino had Shimatani trapped in the Strangle Hold P until the bell rang. Owashi asked Endo to shake his hand after their match but Endo gave him the middle finger. Later in the show Dino revealed the final scores. Ishii and Takao had 10 points, everybody who drew got 5 points and everybody who lost got 0 points. Somehow Mizuki Watase got 30 points and Yuki Ueno scored 84 points even though they weren’t part of the competition until now. Ueno was declared the winner.

KUDO Gets A Concussion, KO-D 6-Man Titles Vacated

October 10, 2017

KUDO was concussed during the main event of yesterday’s show in Sapporo. His doctor said that there is no need for him to stay in a hospital but KUDO will be out of action for at least one month so he has plenty of time to recover. Because of this decision, Shuten-dōji have agreed to vacate the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles. Their next defence was originally scheduled for 14th October against ALL OUT but that match has been cancelled. A match to crown the new champions will be determined on a later date.

6. Sapporo Specialty! Special 6-Man Tag Match From The North: Konosuke Takeshita, Akito & Diego defeated Danshoku Dino, Keisuke Ishii & Kouki Iwasaki when Takeshita pinned Iwasaki with the Surprise Rose (10:27).
7. KO-D Tag Team Titles: HARASHIMA & Naomichi Marufuji (c) defeated KUDO & Masahiro Takanashi by TKO when Marufuji knocked out KUDO (14:17).
*V2 for HarashiMarufuji.

The main event was stopped after a freak accident when Naomichi Marufuji did a cartwheel past KUDO to counter an Irish Whip and he accidentally clipped him in the head with his knee, knocking KUDO out cold. KUDO was taken to the nearby hospital and was diagnosed with a concussion. Marufuji apologised to everyone for the accident and takes the blame for what happened. HARASHIMA tried to cheer up Marufuji and told everyone that as much as they prepare for their matches, what happens in the ring can get beyond their control. Marufuji promised to continue defending the KO-D Tag Team Titles until KUDO can challenge them again so they can finish their match.

Danshoku Dino’s latest round of mind games against Konosuke Takeshita didn’t work today. He told everyone that one way to damage the heart of the champion is to make him lose to a wrestler with a shallow career, so Dino’s plan was to make Kouki Iwasaki beat Takeshita. Producer Dino motivated Iwasaki by giving him a grand entrance with the fans showing their support. Dino then told everyone about Iwasaki’s experience playing football, the best fighting sport. Iwasaki’s kicks were developed from his football skills. Dino told Iwasaki that he can double the power of his Penalty Kick by running the ropes twice. According to Dino it is powerful enough to pin wrestlers for four seconds. Iwasaki did the Penalty Kick to Takeshita during the match but Takeshita kicked out at two. He then hit back with a Big Boot and got the win over Iwasaki’s team with the Surprise Rose. It’s back to the drawing board for Dino.

Daisuke Sasaki claimed that today would be his final match before he emptied Ken Ohka’s bank account and become the Million Dollar Man. He gave an emotional speech thanking the rest of DAMNATION for their time together. Tetsuya Endo wiped tears from his eyes, hugged Sasaki and urged Mad Paulie to do the same. Sasaki said now he is leaving wrestling Endo will have to move back into his parent’s house and Paulie will have to go back to his home too. He also asked the fans to continue cheering Shuji Ishikawa even though he isn’t here today because he works so hard in his matches. Sasaki gathered the present DAMNATION wrestlers together to say their catchphrase, apparently for the last time.

Tomoya and Kazuki Hirata had a musical duel singing both of their entrance songs a cappella. Hirata chopped Tomoya during his song then Tomoya and the rest of his team Super Kicked Hirata when he performed leading to the finish.

Antonio Honda did not want to fight Saki Akai during the 3 Way Match. He held back from hitting her whenever he had the opportunity to. He even tried to take Akai’s place whenever Makoto Oishi attacked her. Honda confessed his admiration for Akai but she turned him down. That’s when Honda turned sides and now had no problem wrestling her. Oishi joined in and held Akai down so Honda could hit the Diving Fist Drop. However Oishi raised Akai’s foot to block Honda and Oishi then gave him the Jikiden Tornado Clutch to steal the pin.

4. DAMNATION Vs NωA!: Daisuke Sasaki, Tetsuya Endo & Mad Paulie defeated Makoto Oishi, Shunma Katsumata & MAO when Sasaki submitted Oishi with the Cross Facelock (11:55).
5. Fierce Fight! Dong Bang Battle!: Kazusada Higuchi defeated Kouki Iwasaki with the Goten (13:50).
6. Sapporo Specialty! Sea Urchin, Scallop, Cuttlefish, Crab Bowl Special 4 Way Match: Konosuke Takeshita defeated Danshoku Dino, HARASHIMA and KUDO when Takeshita pinned Dino with a Gaydo Clutch (15:10).

The 4 Way Main event split off into two stories, Konosuke Takeshita Vs Danshoku Dino and HARASHIMA Vs KUDO. While all four fought each other throughout the match, those two pairings got the most focus. KUDO gave Dino a Buzzsaw Kick and had HARASHIMA pinned with the Diving Double Knee Stop. But Takeshita stopped the count by lifting KUDO up with a German Suplex. With KUDO and HARASHIMA both out of the ring, Dino ducked under Takeshita’s Lariat and he trapped him in the Lip Lock. Dino went for the Gaydo Clutch but Takeshita reversed it with a Gaydo Clutch of his own to get the three count. HARASHIMA and KUDO had a staredown before they both left the ring. Takeshita told Dino after the match that he figured out his weakness. What works best against Dino is an eye for and eye, a tooth for a tooth and fighting fire with fire. Dino is weak against his own Danshoku style! Dino said it is no good that a straight wrestler pretends to be gay to beat him. Takeshita pointed out that it worked for him today. Dino called it a fluke. He said Takeshita is afraid of the Danshoku style and creating his own to combat it will not work in the end. He will eventually learn how much depth there is to the style and it isn’t something Dino does for his own self-interests.

Both Kazusada Higuchi and Kouki Iwasaki were motivated to be at their best today because the show was in their home prefecture of Hokkaido. Higuchi won the match and described it as an emotional event. He hopes to continue working hard for DDT and see DNA do the same.

Daisuke Sasaki announced he will be cashing out of Ken Ohka’s bank account on 10th October when he returns to Tokyo. He believes the money will make him the Million Dollar Man and he’ll be so rich he will never have to wrestle again. He claims tomorrow’s match will be his last.

*V6 for Daisuke Sasaki. V8 for Konosuke Takeshita. Ken Ohka fails in V4. Daisuke Sasaki becomes the 25th Independent World Jr. Heavyweight Champion! Daisuke Sasaki wins Ken Ohka’s 714,146 yen!

Three champions entered the main event. One would leave with two titles, one would leave without a belt and the odd one out would be doing alright actually. Konosuke Takeshita and Daisuke Sasaki already have a lot of history with each other over the KO-D Openweight Title. The wild card was Ken Ohka. Not only was he defending the Independent World Jr. Heavyweight Title but earlier in the week Sasaki stole his bank account details! Sasaki did it because he thinks his own DDT Extreme Title is more valuable so he’d rather win Ohka’s money instead of the Indy Jr. Title. So now Ohka was fighting for both his championship and his money. This was confirmed when Hisaya Imabayashi took in Ohka’s savings book along with the three title belts during the ring introductions. Alliances were made and broken all throughout the match. Takeshita had Sasaki set up for the finish when he went into position for a Power Bomb but Ohka cut him off with the Fire Spear. Ohka then rallied the crowd and waited for Sasaki to get up for the Fire Spear. It all went wrong and Sasaki countered the Spear into the Cross Facelock. Ohka pulled himself over to the ropes but Sasaki rolled him back into the middle of the ring. Ohka tapped out before Takeshita could break the hold. As a result, Sasaki is still the DDT Extreme Champion and is now the new Independent Jr. Champion! Oh, and he now also claims all 714,146 yen of Ken Ohka’s money!

Sasaki was then informed he will have to defend the Indy Jr. Title against Shiori Asahi in K-DOJO for their 15th October show in Korakuen Hall. Takeshita is still the KO-D Champion and the result counts as a successful title defence for him. His next defence will be on 22nd October at Korakuen against the Dramatic General Election winner or if he wins the election, an opponent of his choice. Sadly for Ohka, he leaves with nothing. Sasaki told Takeshita that their grudge hasn’t been settled yet. If the fans want to see that happen, vote for Sasaki! He was told to stop campaigning inside the ring because it is against the rules. Sasaki leaned away from his comments and said of course he doesn’t know when they will fight each other again. Sasaki ended the show with a message to everyone watching whether it was on AbemaTV, Samurai! TV, DDT UNIVERSE, in Japan and around the world. He is “Charisma” Daisuke Sasaki! You only have to remember his name. Mother Earth and the DDT ring will turn to the centre of DAMNATION!

One of the longest relationships in DDT’s 20 year history was revisited when HARASHIMA faced KUDO. They have been both tag partners and enemies throughout their careers. Plenty of kicks and Diving Knee Drops were on offer. HARASHIMA’s Somato was countered with KUDO using his own Double Knee Kick. KUDO went for the Diving Double Knee Drop aiming for the back of HARASHIMA’s head but HARASHIMA rolled out of the way. HARASHIMA climbed the ropes but KUDO kicked him off and left him to dangle upside down by his legs. KUDO then hit the Diving Double Knee Drop to the outside. HARASHIMA fought back as much as he could but couldn’t outkick KUDO. He finally fell down to a Buzzsaw Kick and was pinned with the Diving Double Knee Drop. In his post-match interview KUDO said he was greatful for HARASHIMA’s “special existence” because their matches inspire him. KUDO was also happy because his family was in the audience today and they got to see him wrestle. HARASHIMA was disappointed he lost but hopes his rivalry with KUDO will continue for another 21 or 22 years. He does not want his rivalry to end with a loss.

Entire homes were supposedly on the line for the Danshoku Dino Vs Super Sasadango Machine bout. It was a Loser Leaves House match where whoever lost would be forced to move out of their current home. Sasadango was accompanied by Muscle Sakai but Sakai quickly moved over to a laptop so he could show off a PowerPoint Presentation titled “Consideration On Traceability Of Masked Wrestlers In The Professional Wrestling Industry”. Sakai has been busy away from wrestling, balancing careers in both film making and the molding industry. He is so busy that it leaves him feeling sluggish. One of the problems relating to this is he lives a double life as Super Sasadango Machine. Sakai’s solution was to sell all rights of the Super Sasadango Machine gimmick to a company called CyberAdango to form a subsidiary called M&A.

The subsidiary will rent out the Sasadango gimmick to other wrestlers, which explains how Sakai and Sasadango could be seen together recently. Sakai then revealed that the massive rookie Yuki Ino is renting the Sasadango gimmick and is the person currently under the mask. Also part of the deal allows Sakai and Sasadango to still be recognised as one person so they will be fighting Dino two on one even though it is still officially a singles match. Finally, Sakai said his plan for the match was to poke Dino in the eyes and blind him with the Iron Claw. Sakai then put on his Sasadango gear and entered the match. His plan worked perfectly during the match until Ino pulled off his own Sasadango mask and tights to reveal Danshoku tights underneath! Ino gave Sakai the Lip Lock then threw him into Dino for the Danshoku Driver. The referee raised both Dino and Ino’s hands in victory even though Ino looked embarrased. Sakai was furious at Ino for betraying him. Ino admitted he switched sides when Dino gave him the Lip Lock during the match. In the post-match interview both Dino and Sakai ignored questions about if the match stipulation would be upheld.

Some miscommunication between Tetsuya Endo & Mad Paulie cost them their match against Soma Takao & Yasu Urano. Paulie’s Corner Splash to Takao missed and instead squashed Endo by mistake. Paulie was so concerned over Endo that he couldn’t fight out of Takao’s La Magistral Cradle and was pinned.

Ryuichi Sekine wanted to get his hands on Saki Akai but wound up getting blocked. Meanwhile Yukio Sakaguchi and Rocky Kawamura had a strike duel that ended in a stalemate when Sakaguchi’s High Kick met with Kawamura’s Straight Mix Punch. Akai hit a Diving Cross Body on Kawamura but he used the momentum to roll backwards on top of her for the pin.

Yuu spent the early part of the show being chased by other wrestlers who wanted the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title. She found a room to hide in, ate some katsudon with chopsticks and took a nap afterwards. Yukinori Matsui entered the room and saw the chopstick were on top of Yuu’s chest. 1…2…3! The Disposable Chopsticks were now the champion! Royce Isaacs suddenly appeared and snapped the chopsticks in half with his Miracle Ass. Now he is the champion. Isaacs then went out to the ring to defend the belt in a Battle Royal. Sanshiro Takagi entered the match still wearing his suit from the earlier announcement at the start of the show. Matsuno Collection A.T. took part in the match instead of Gorgeous Matsuno. Antonio Honda distracted Isaacs with a story about “Gon, The Little Fox” mixed in with Lupin III called “Lupine III”. The trick worked, Honda poked Isaacs’s in the eyes and pinned him with a School Boy to win the title. Yoshihiko then pinned Honda to become champion. Kazuki Hirata grabbed Yoshihiko and used it to hit Yuni with. Hirata then pinned Yoshihiko with a Fire Thunder Driver to win the belt. Hirata went on to eliminate five opponents in quick succession by using his HIRATA GO! glasses to make them dance and drop their guards. Only Yuni was left and the kid pinned Hirata with a Hurricanrana to win the title and the Battle Royal! Yuni celebrated with Makoto Oishi who lifted him up on his shoulder. Oishi then betrayed Yuni and gave him a Backbreaker to win the belt from him! His moment of glory was cut short when Yuu returned. She flipped him over with a throw and dropped him with the Last Ride to regain her title. She was then chased away from ringside by more wrestlers. When Yuu was finally safe and alone, she had an interview and revealed that she does the Last Ride in dedication to the late Super Uchu Power. She was very happy to do it in a DDT Korakuen Hall show. Yuu said she loves the Iron Man Title the most in the world and wonders if there is anybody else who cherishes it as much as she does.

The show kicked off with an NωA musical performance. While they were singing, Yuu appeared with the Iron Man Title and she was chased around the ring by other wrestlers. When she escaped, the match went on as normal and NωA won. Shunma Katsumata & MAO cut off Kouki Iwasaki and focused their attacks on Mizuki Watase. MAO hit Watase with the Screw High Kick and Katsumata got rid of Iwasaki with a Lightning Spiral. Katsumata then pinned Watase with the Firebird Splash.

Diego rolled away from Daiki Shimomura’s Swanton Bomb then hit him with the VHS to win the dark match.

The DDT roster including wrestlers from DNA, BASARA, Tokyo Joshi Pro and Ganbare☆Wrestling gathered in the ring for the announcement of the company becoming a member of CyberAgent group. Sanshiro Takagi was accompanied by the president of CyberAgent, Susumu Fujita. Takagi told everyone he is staying on as the company president and will continue to run DDT as normal. He brought up AbemaTV as a CyberAgent property that is influential among the younger generation. DDT can now use that to their advantage. With this new relationship, Takagi wants DDT to become the No. 1 pro wrestling company in the industry! Susumu admitted he was not a pro wrestling fan but enjoyed watching DDT’s Street Wrestling and Beer Garden shows. He even attended the Beer Garden show hosted by Danshoku Dino and Super Sasadango Machine and came away impressed by DDT’s vision of pro wrestling. He assures all of the fans that he does not want DDT to change at all. He wants to make DDT bigger of course but has faith in Takagi’s leadership to make DDT No. 1 in the future. Takagi then rallied the wrestlers group by group. DDT will make the next step. The DDT wrestlers cheered. DNA will make the next step. The DNA wrestlers cheered. BASARA will make the next step. The BASARA wrestlers cheered. Tokyo Joshi will make the next step. The Joshi wrestlers cheered. Ganpuro will make the next step. Ken Ohka cheered then realised he was the only Ganpuro wrestler in the ring.

Takagi reappeared at the end of the show to remind everyone he will continue to be DDT president and as president he will continue to enrich the pro wrestling world.

The schedule for the first ever D King Grand Prix was revealed. There will be 8 shows featuring tournament matches starting on 5th January in Shinjuku FACE with the final taking place at Korakuen Hall on 28th January.

DDT will be teaming up with Ring☆Dream once more to produce a 3rd wrestling show together on 16th December. Two new characters for the game based on DDT wrestlers will be unveiled at next month’s Korakuen show.

DDT will do two matches at the Tokyo Ramen Show 2017 on 26th October.

6. DDT 20th Anniversary Special Single Match That Danshoku Producer Wants To Show Everyone: HARASHIMA Vs KUDO
7. KO-D Openweight Title, DDT Extreme Title & Independent World Jr. Heavyweight Title – 3 Way Match: Konosuke Takeshita (K/c) Vs Daisuke Sasaki (E/c) Vs Ken Ohka (I/c)

Producer Danshoku Dino explained why he decided to make the HARASHIMA Vs KUDO match. If Sanshiro Takagi, NOSAWA Rongai and MIKAMI were the most important figures in DDT’s creation then HARASHIMA and KUDO are the most important wrestlers for the rest of the 20 year history of the company. Dino wants to see who is the stronger of the two in today’s DDT. HARASHIMA thinks the winner of this match can have a claim to be the No. 1 Contender for the KO-D Openweight Title. KUDO is confident he will win because he beat HARASHIMA in their last singles match together.

For the 3 Way Match main event, KUDO predicts Ken Ohka will find a way to win. Ohka famously won the KO-D Title from KUDO back in 2015 by using his Right To Challenge title shot in the middle of KUDO’s defence against Yasu Urano, turning it into a 3 Way in the process. Ohka pinned Urano to become the champion. His plan worked perfectly but KUDO had his own Right To Challenge Contract and cashed it in to immediately win back the championship. KUDO thinks the landscape of the upcoming main event changes completely with the addition of Ohka. He knows Ohka will have a trick up his sleeve to win somehow.

A weird moment happened at the “NON-FIX ~ 9.13 ~” show a few days ago. Muscle Sakai and Super Sasadango Machine were in the ring together at the same time. It was odd because nobody had ever seen them in the same place before. Sasadango explained in an unusual voice that he hired Sakai as a subcontractor to help Producer Dino with his busy schedule. Sakai’s role is to produce the first ever singles match between Dino Vs Sasadango. Dino is allowing this because Sakai is such an indispensable part of DDT history. Sasadango shocked both Sakai and Dino by revealing that the match is now a Loser Leaves House match! Whoever loses must leave their home and move somewhere else! Sakai got mad because he, er, Sasadango just bought his house in Niigata. When asked why he would make that stipulation, Sasadango said it’s because he lived in Niigata for many years and should move to Tokyo even though he doesn’t want to. But he is also determined not to lose the match. He came up with this stipulation only because the match needs a bet. Sakai admitted he’d like to make Dino move to a new house so the stipulation was accepted!
