140 Fans – Super No Vacancy Full House

1. Kazusada Higuchi defeated Hideki Okatani with the Brain Claw (7:01).
2. Danshoku Dieno, Toru Owashi & Antonio Honda defeated Makoto Oishi, Akito & Yuya Koroku when Honda pinned Koroku with the Danshoku Driver (7:35).
3. Takoyaki! Kushikatsu! A Perfect Bowl Like 3 Way Match: Kazuki Hirata defeated Yukio Sakaguchi and Yuki Iino when Hirata pinned Iino after the God’s Right Knee from Sakaguchi (9:53).
4. Tetsuya Endo & Yuji Hino defeated Naomi Yoshimura & Yukio Naya when Hino pinned Naya with the Fuckin’ BOMB (11:43).
5. I Really Like It! Osaka Specialty Special Single Match: Jun Akiyama defeated Yusuke Okada with the Wrist-Clutch Exploder (10:50).
6. Yuki Ueno, MAO & Chris Brookes defeated Daisuke Sasaki, Soma Takao & Mad Paulie when Brookes submitted Paulie with a Cross Armbreaker (12:07).
7. KO-D Tag Team Titles: Konosuke Takeshita & Shunma Katsumata defeated HARASHIMA & Yuji Okabayashi (c) when Katsumata pinned HARASHIMA with the Firebird Splash (24:46).
*Smile Pissari fails in V2. The 37KAMIINA becomes the 70th KO-D Tag Team Champions!

NepowWER beats Pissari!! The challengers had everything sorted and took everything that was thrown at them, even literally each other. For Shunma Katsumata it was a big performance today. He avoided the Somato and sent HARASHIMA right into Konosuke Takeshita to deal with. Then when Yuji Okabayashi ran in, Takeshita took him out with a Lariat. MADMAX was used to plant HARASHIMA in the perfect position for Katsumata to use the Firebird Splash. That is a rarely used finisher for HARASHIMA and he had now knows what it’s like to be pinned with it. Okabayashi almost made the save but broke the pin too late. The two teams did their poses to each other after the match.

Takeshita said three miracles have recently happened to himself and Katsumata. First, Katsumata gets a pin on Jun Akiyama. Second, they win the Ultimate Tag League. And third, today they beat Smile Pissari to become the new KO-D Tag Team Champions! The show was in Takeshita’s home of Osaka but even he agrees that Katsumata is the star of the show today. Katsumata promised The 37KAMIINA will continue having exciting matches that will leave everyone sweating in a good atmosphere. Just like a sauna. That’s not the end though. After the show Katsumata, Yuki Ueno & MAO all said they want to challenge for the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles together. They want to challenge DAMNATION for the belts in Tetsuya Endo’s hometown!

The King Of DDT final four used today to prepare for the finals next week. Daisuke Sasaki said he will prove he is the strongest. He is preparing a new special move to win the tournament. Kazusada Higuchi was asked if the Brain Claw can be used against an opponent as large as Yuji Hino. Higuchi said he is finally getting used to the move as one of his own. He now knows how to rely on it at a time where it is important.

After the Jun Akiyama Vs Yusuke Okada match, Akiyama told Okada to study more. He thinks Okada was very motivated today which tells Akiyama he should hit him harder from now on. He wants their story together in DDT to be different from their story in All Japan. Okada recently admitted he considered retiring from pro wrestling last year and Akiyama was there to listen to his problems. That meant a lot to Okada and he thinks it is the reason he followed him over to DDT. It had motivated Okada to do his best for both his mentor and his new home.

Kazuki Hirata stole the win in the 3 Way Match. Yukio Sakaguchi had Yuki Iino pinned after hitting the God’s Right Knee. Hirata used a Sliding Kick to break the pin and then cover Iino for the three count.

In an effort to play mind games, Yuya Koroku stole Danshoku Dieno’s wrestling gear backstage and wore it to the ring. This created a chain reaction. Dieno appeared wearing Toru Owashi’s gear and then Owashi came out wearing Antonio Honda’s gear. Honda couldn’t find anything to wear so he refused to walk down to the ring and wrestle. He eventually picked up the courage to enter the ring in just his socks and underwear. After using Gongitsune to poke Koroku in the eye, he did his own version of the Danshoku Driver with his underwear to pick up the win.

Chris Brookes Vs Shinya Aoki for both the DDT Extreme Title and Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title will take place on 15th July.

This morning Tokyo Joshi Pro announced that Yuka Sakazaki will be returning to AEW for an excursion next month. Sakazaki will wrestle her match with Suzume on 1st July in Japan and afterwards will travel to America for a month long stay. It will be Sakazaki’s first time wrestling in USA since February 2020, before the Covid-19 pandemic became global. Due to this absence, Sakazaki will not be entering this year’s Tokyo Princess Cup. Unless there is a change with Japan’s two week self isolation rule over travelling, Sakazaki will not be back in TJPW until after the 7th August show. She is guaranteed to be back wrestling on the 14th August Korakuen Hall show onwards. I figure there might be one or two episodes of “THAT’S J-PW” with her still in it that will air on WRESTLE UNIVERSE while she is gone.

They kept shouting “Pissari!” and “NeppoWER!!” back and forth to each other throughout the meeting. HARASHIMA and Konosuke Takeshita are keeping their eyes on the prize. Takeshita said his recent form shows he is returning to the centre of DDT. He doesn’t want his momentum to stop and would like to be KO-D Tag Team Champions with Katsumata. Winning the belts in Osaka too would be a miracle for them. HARASHIMA is aware that it’s been a long time since he was focused on the Tag Titles. 7. King Of DDT 2021 – Final: X Vs X

The King Of DDT final four have given their thoughts going into the final rounds. Daisuke Sasaki thinks he is now the strongest wrestler after beating both the DDT UNIVERSAL Champion and KO-D Openweight Champion in the first two rounds. However whenever he sees Takeshita he still feels the pain in the rib he broke from their D-Ou Grand Prix match last November. It’s time for revenge. But if he wins and faces Yuji Hino in the final, he will accept his fate and lose to Hino in 5 seconds. He’ll get the prize money anyway. Takeshita argues that Sasaki only beat the champions because he used Low Blows in those matches. He thinks he can beat him if he dodges those kind of attacks. Hino admits the tournament has been hard and he’s been fighting some big names throughout. If Takeshita does beat Sasaki then Hino promises to break his ribs in the final so Sasaki will get his revenge. Kazusada Higuchi is determined to advance past the semi-final for the first time. He won’t think about the final until he gets there.

A team of Olympians in one form or another are going after the KO-D 8-Man Tag Team Titles together. Joining Yoshiaki Yatsu is Akito, Hiroshi Yamato & Keigo Nakamura. All three of them asked to join by pointing to their amateur wrestling experience in the Junior Olympics. Akito finished 2nd in his 2004 class, Yamato finished 3rd in his 2002 class and Nakamura… was eliminated in the first round at the 2016 competition.

Yesterday Shinjiro Otani confirmed he will regularly participate in Ganbare☆Pro events beginning on 27th June. Otani’s priority is still with ZERO1 but when his schedule allows it, he will wrestle in Ganpro too. At first Otani didn’t understand why his Hot Japan tag team partner Yumehito Imanari asked him to come help Ganpro. He couldn’t figure out why Ganpro needed him. But when he had a match with Shu Sakurai last week he finally understood. He thought Ganpro wrestlers were only concerned with entertaining their audience but found out they also have the will to fight. So Ganpro does need Otani and he is happy to help. Once Imanari got permission from CyberFight to increase Ganpro’s budget for Otani’s pay the deal was made. Hot Japan are currently the NWA Intercontinental Tag Team Champions and they’re looking to defend it on a Ganpro show.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “STAND PROUD”, 26/06/2021
Tokyo Ryogoku KFC Hall

1. Princess Of Princess Title: Miyu Yamashita (c) Vs Sakisama

This is what I was warning about on Wednesday. Sakisama chokes out Miyu Yamashita and gets her first ever shot at the Princess Of Princess Title. Championships are small change for a lady like Sakisama which is why she has never wanted the Princess Title. She already has so many accomplishments to her name that a prize like that does not interest her. What’s motivating her here is the chance to humiliate Yamashita more than she ever has done before. The champion has never beaten Sakisama in singles matches or directly in tag matches. Sakisama’s been a thorn in Yamashita’s side going back to 2015 (I’m retconning a name for kayfabe reasons to reach back that far but don’t worry about it).

Yuki Arai will be on the show.

Osaka gets a special mentor versus student match. Yusuke Okada always stays close to Jun Akiyama even though he is not a part of Junretsu. Getting a match in his hometown against Akiyama means a lot to Okada.

10. Princess Of Princess Title – Triple Main Event I: Miyu Yamashita (c) Vs Yuka Sakazaki
11. KO-D Openweight Title – Triple Main Event II: Jun Akiyama (c) Vs HARASHIMA
12. GHC Heavyweight Title – Triple Main Event III: Keiji Muto (c) Vs Naomichi Marufuji

Some big changes were made to the lineup thanks to some dramatic news over on the NOAH side. This past weekend Masa Kitamiya broke away from Kongo over a grudge he holds with Katsuhiko Nakajima that he just cannot keep to himself for any longer. Now that Kongo has six members instead of seven, a decision was made to turn the 14-Man Tag Match into a 12-Man Tag. Kitamiya will now be put into a singles match against Hideki Okatani, who has been pulled from the DDT team to even the numbers.

On the same show Danshoku Dieno & Super Sasadango Machine at long last achieved their goal of getting a match booked with Takashi Sugiura & Kazushi Sakuraba. Sugiura had just beaten Sakuraba in a GHC National Title defence when Sasadango & Dieno arrived at ringside. They offered Sugiura-gun two options for their potential match. Either a Guru Guru Bat Death Match or Sasadango & Dieno challenge for the custom made SUGI & SAKI championship belts. Sugiura accepted their challenge for a match but didn’t explicitly say which option he wants. If it’s going to be a title match for those belts then so be it. Sakuraba likes that idea because defending the belts will raise their prestige even if it is against Sasadango & Dieno.

There are also some wrestlers who cannot be on the show for various reasons. YO-HEY and Yasutaka Yano were recently in contact with somebody who had tested positive for Covid-19 so they are staying away from the show. Keigo Nakamura is also treating an injury to his right ACL that he suffered in Kumamoto last Sunday.

One last note on this, I won’t be writing a preview for the show like I normally do for the supercards. The majority of the matches do not have much story building up to them and that is still loads to write about without saying much. I also don’t know a lot about current NOAH (for example last time I paid attention to Shuhei Taniguchi he was under a mask hooking people with a garden fork, now I find out he became disco buddies with Mohammed Yone) so I can’t offer much for their side of the show.

1. KO-D Tag Team Titles: HARASHIMA & Yuji Okabayashi (c) Vs Konosuke Takeshita & Shunma Katsumata

The Ultimate Tag League winners are now targeting the KO-D Tag Team Champions. When Konosuke Takeshita & Shunma Katsumata received their trophies, Katsumata called out the challenge to Smile Pissari for the belts. Takeshita challenged for the belts with MAO back in February but couldn’t come out on top back then. Switching over to Katsumata might be the right idea. It certainly paid off already so far. Yuji Okabayashi’s next available date to wrestle in DDT isn’t until the end of the month so the title match is happening in Osaka on the 26th.

1. KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles: Tetsuya Endo, Soma Takao & Yuji Hino (c) Vs X, X & X

Tetsuya Endo made the demand to get a KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles defence in his home city of Shiroishi. He was surprised more than anyone else when Hisaya Imabayashi agreed to it with no complaints. The idea of a champion defending in his hometown is never a bad one.

Yoshimura’s King Of DDT Spot In Doubt, CyberFight Festival Match Dump

May 11, 2021

Based on the instructions of the extended state of emergency and the guidelines presented by all of the venues, the remaining DDT and Ganbare☆Pro shows this month are allowed to go ahead with fans in attendance. A combination of holding shows in areas outside of the emergency zones and at small venues inside said zones seems to be the reason why this is happening. Tokyo Joshi Pro will announce their plans later although they today confirmed their show in Osaka on the 22nd has been pushed back to July. Their only other shows to come this month is one this coming Saturday and the PPV on the 29th. I have my concerns about “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL 2021” going ahead even though they should be free to run the show by the time June rolls around. Cramming in four rosters worth of wrestlers into a day long supershow this close to the current situation sounds like it will cause a lot of trouble if they’re not careful. The news about Japan’s handling of its vaccinations sounds really bad too.

6. Ultimate Tag League 2021: Kazusada Higuchi & Yukio Sakaguchi (2) Vs Chris Brookes & Antonio Honda (2)

Two rounds in, three more to go. DAMNATION can increase their lead in first place and make things worse for Junretsu. They can’t rest easy though because either Eruption or The Iyasareru won’t far behind.

6. Ultimate Tag League 2021: Konosuke Takeshita & Shunma Katsumata Vs Chris Brookes & Antonio Honda
7. Ultimate Tag League 2021: Kazusada Higuchi & Yukio Sakaguchi Vs Jun Akiyama & Makoto Oishi

When the field for this year’s King Of DDT was revealed, one wrestler who was left off went to Twitter to give his opinion about it. Yuki Iino doesn’t understand why Naomi Yoshimura was picked to enter the tournament over him. He challenged Yoshimura to a match to prove he deserves the spot instead. Yoshimura accepted the challenge and the card, which was already completed, had to be changed for the match to happen.

3. KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles: Tetsuya Endo, Soma Takao & Yuji Hino (c) Vs Toru Owashi, Naomi Yoshimura & Kazuki Hirata

Here’s the destination for DISASTER BOX Vs DAMNATION. The KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles will be defended for the first time since March.

Shinya Aoki returns to DDT after a successful fight at ONE Championship back in April. An interesting path opens up for him if he and Yukio Naya can beat Konosuke Takeshita & Yuki Ueno. I can see a possible DDT UNIVERSAL Title shot in his future.

9. KO-D Openweight Title: Jun Akiyama (c) Vs HARASHIMA
10. GHC Heavyweight Title: Keiji Muto (c) Vs Naomichi Marufuji

A ton of matches added to the show courtesy of DDT and Tokyo Joshi. There’s still more to come believe it or not. Yuki Arai is wrestling on the show after all and gets another crack against Maki Itoh in a trios match. Another thing to note is the mystery partner in the opening match of the STARTING BATTLE pre-show. Every member of the TJPW roster has been accounted for except for the women from NEO Biishiki-gun. They seem to have other engagements that day so X will have to be somebody from outside of TJPW. It’s also the very first match of the day so let’s keep expectations in check. Aja Kong or Mei Suruga would make sense given how their previous appearances in TJPW went. Maybe there is a new trainee about to debut. Or how about Kendo Kashin? That sounds like something he would do.

NOAH have yet to announce their entries into the Battle Royal. I also think they will provide the fourth STARTING BATTLE match to complete the pre-show.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “SPRING TOUR ’21 ~THE BULLET~”, 17/07/2021
Osaka Azalea Taisho Hall

Tokyo Joshi’s visit to Osaka on 22nd May has been postponed until July. The current state of emergency led to all venues in Osaka only allowing events to go ahead without crowds. TJPW decided it was better off to delay their show in Azalea Taisho Hall to a date when fans will be allowed to attend again.

5. Osaka Special 8-Woman Tag Match: Rika Tatsumi, Yuka Sakazaki, Mizuki & Shoko Nakajima defeated Yuki Kamifuku, Miyu Yamashita, Maki Itoh & Nao Kakuta when Tatsumi pinned Kakuta with the Missile Hips (13:33).

Marika Kobashi approached Hyper Misao before their match asking to become her disciple. She still had the custom hero mask given to her for the Tokyo Joshingers audition earlier in the month. Misao shook her hand but Kobashi attacked her, revealing it to be a trap! Kobashi later had Haruna Neko beaten with the Front Neck Lock, but Misao broke it up and stole the win.

Tokyo Joshi Pro will be going to Kobe for their first show in the area this August. The event will be Mizuki’s homecoming show. She calls it a dream come true.

6. DDT Extreme Title – Kids Room Death Match 37 (Sauna) Count Edition: Shunma Katsumata (c) Vs MAO

Then on Sunday all hell breaks loose in DDT when Shunma Katsumata and MAO get to play their game. Both of them have been shopping in hardware shops during the week gathering items they hope to use as weapons. It’s all fair as long as the referee thinks the weapons aren’t dangerous.

DDT “DAY DREAM BELIEVER 2021”, 14/03/2021
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. Junretsu Vs Eruption!: Jun Akiyama & Makoto Oishi Vs Kazusada Higuchi & Yukio Sakaguchi
2. KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles: Akito, Kazuki Hirata & Shota (c) Vs Tetsuya Endo, Soma Takao & Yuji Hino
3. DDT UNIVERSAL TITLE: Yuki Ueno (c) Vs Yusuke Okada

Tetsuya Endo has set his sights on the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles as his next goal. It’s a chance to get some gold back into DAMNATION’s clutches. Yuji Hino can regain a championship he once held before in DDT again. Soma Takao wants to beat Young Communication Generation because he has bad memories of being on those shows. Actually everyone who wrestled on those shows didn’t like them according to him. He claims he was only ever paid 100 yen to be on them. That doesn’t line up with Daisuke Sasaki who remembers getting paid 5,000 yen back then.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “TJPW INSPIRATION”, 01/04/2021
Shin-Kiba 1st RING

1. Mizuki Vs Miu Watanabe
2. Rika Tatsumi Vs Miu
3. Hardcore Match: Hikari Noa Vs Rina Yamashita

The show is only scheduled to last for an hour.

DDT “APRIL FOOL 2021”, 11/04/2021
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. Gorgeous Matsuno Pre-60th Birthday Commemorative Match: Gorgeous Matsuno Vs X
2. KO-D Tag Team Titles: Kazusada Higuchi & Yukio Sakaguchi (c) Vs HARASHIMA & Yuji Okabayashi

Eruption’s second KO-D Tag Team Titles defence is a doozy. HARASHIMA & Yuji Okabayashi are the winners of the 2020 New Year’s Eve Shuffle Tag Tournament and are undefeated as a team. However Okabayashi’s schedule in Big Japan leaves him busy so the team known as Smile Pissari aren’t able to get their title match until April.

DDT/NOAH/TOKYO JOSHI PRO/GANBARE☆PRO “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL 2021”, 06/06/2021
Saitama Super Arena

1. Princess Of Princess Title: Rika Tatsumi (c) Vs X
2. GHC Heavyweight Title: Keiji Muto (c) Vs X
3. KO-D Openweight Title: Jun Akiyama (c) Vs X

It’s been a popular prediction that CyberFight was eventually going to put together a supershow featuring all of their wrestling companies working together. Today it is now a reality. DDT, NOAH, Tokyo Joshi Pro & Ganbare☆Pro will all be in the Super Saitama Arena this June for the first “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL”. The plan is the show to headline with three major championship matches. The KO-D Openweight Title from DDT, GHC Heavyweight Title from NOAH and Princess Of Princess Title from TJPW will all be defended on the show. There will also be interpromotional matches between some of the groups but who gets matched with what remains to be seen. Pom Harajuku Vs Katsuhiko Nakajima in a battle of the kickers, anyone?

Sanshiro Takagi said that ever since CyberFight was established he wondered if he could put together a rock festival style of show that can convey the charm of pro wrestling and energize the audience. They will take sufficient measures to make sure everyone is protected from the Coronavirus when the event takes place. Naomichi Marufuji said everyone from NOAH has become more motivated coming out of their recent Budokan Hall show. Since the Olympic Games are at risk, he hopes that people around the world will get to have fun by watching this event. Akito sees the value of cross-promoting between the fanbases. He thinks new audiences will get to see the gorgeousness of TJPW and the sincerity of Ganpro. The comparison to music festivals reminds Tetsuya Koda of the times when Morning Musume performed at the ROCK IN JAPAN festivals. Ken Ohka says Ganpro is working very hard at becoming a major pro wrestling company. They’re not going to be piggy backing their way onto this show. Whatever spot they have will be earned.

-. D-Ou Grand Prix 2021 – A Block: HARASHIMA (6) defeated Daisuke Sasaki (2) by Forfeit.
1. Antonio Honda defeated Keigo Nakamura with a Backslide Pin (8:36).
2. Blow Away The D-Ou GP 2021 From The DDT Variety Team!: HARASHIMA & Toru Owashi defeated Danshoku Dieno & Kazuki Hirata when HARASHIMA pinned Hirata with the Somato (10:17).
3. D-Ou Grand Prix 2021 – B Block: Kazusada Higuchi (5) defeated Soma Takao (4) with the Buchikamashi (11:30).
4. D-Ou Grand Prix 2021 – B Block: Jun Akiyama (4) defeated Makoto Oishi (2) with the Fujiyama Knee Lock Cutback (10:49).
5. D-Ou Grand Prix 2021 – B Block: Tetsuya Endo (7) defeated Yuki Ueno (2) with the Shooting Star Press (22:56).
6. D-Ou Grand Prix 2021 – A Block: MAO (4) defeated Yukio Sakaguchi (4) with the Michinoku Driver II (9:53).
7. D-Ou Grand Prix 2021 – A Block: Chris Brookes (6) defeated Konosuke Takeshita (4) by Referee Stoppage with a Modified Armlock (24:21).

A Block

1. HARASHIMA (6)
-. Chris Brookes (6)
3. Akito (4)
-. MAO (4)
-. Yukio Sakaguchi (4)
6. Daisuke Sasaki (2)
-. Konosuke Takeshita (2)

B Block

1. Tetsuya Endo (7)
2. Kazusada Higuchi (5)
3. Jun Akiyama (4)
-. Soma Takao (4)
5. Yuki Ueno (2)
-. Makoto Oishi (2)
7. Shunma Katsumata (0)

The injuries inflicted in the D-Ou Grand Prix have reached the point where it determines who wins or loses. Chris Brookes put all of his focus on Konosuke Takeshita’s injured left arm and it paid off with a referee stoppage. Brookes held Takeshita in a Modified Armlock with his leg clasped around Takeshita’s neck. Takeshita went motionless and Yukinori Matsui called for the match to stop. Brookes and Takeshita did shake hands afterwards and Brookes thanked the Osaka fans for coming to see the show. Backstage Brookes said that even a slight mistake would have cost him the match against Takeshita. But his plan worked and he now has a 3 win, 1 loss record against him. Takeshita is disappointed with the loss but has no complaints over how it ended. With his left arm injured, he can only train with his right. He believes he is strong enough to German Suplex opponents with only one arm but it wasn’t possible today.

MAO bounced back with his first proper win of the tournament, beating Yukio Sakaguchi in a scrap. He avoided the God’s Right Knee and hit Sakaguchi with a Palm Strike. From there he did the Michinoku Driver II and got the pin. Sakaguchi said he is happy to see MAO has gotten stronger and he even had fun wrestling him today. MAO wants everyone to know he is showing growth every time he wrestles.

The KO-D Openweight Champion defeated the DDT UNIVERSAL Champion. Yesterday’s double knockout meant Tetsuya Endo was not 100% for today’s match and he wrestled with the back of his neck all taped up. Yuki Ueno wanted to win the battle of champions in his hometown but couldn’t hit his finishers. Endo blocked the BME and countered the WR into a Backslide Pin for a nearfall. Endo relied on Overhead Kicks and Headbutts to lead into the match winning Shooting Star Press. Endo said backstage that the champion wins no matter what the situation. He was still hurt from yesterday while Ueno had the day off (Ueno went to the sauna, then the gym, got sunburned then spent the the night resting). This result proves that the KO-D Title is the strongest championship is DDT.

The two members of Junretsu in the Grand Prix finally faced each other one on one. It was a chance for Makoto Oishi to prove himself against Jun Akiyama. He toughened it out by taking Akiyama’s Knee Strikes then escaped out of the Wrist Clutch Exploder to roll Akiyama into the Fujiyama Knee Lock. Oishi put all his might into the move but Akiyama used that momentum to roll Oishi onto his shoulders and pin him for the three count. Oishi told Akiyama after the match he entered the Grand Prix this year so he could have a match against him. Next time he will be even more driven even if it means breaking Akiyama’s knees! Akiyama said it is impossible to break his knees.

It isn’t enough that Kazusada Higuchi is down his left leg. Soma Takao spent their match trying to injure his right arm too. Takao got the idea to target the arm when Higuchi missed a Chop and struck the ring post outside. Higuchi endured his injuries and still found ways to use his power moves. Takao tried using his elbow to cut off Higuchi but he was put away with the Buchikamashi sumo charge. Higuchi has two block matches left so he will continue to push forward. When Takao found out his next opponent is Akiyama he said he will go on a winter break. He’ll pay money to Akiyama if it means he can get a bye and avoid having to wrestle him.

Kazuki Hirata came out with another home made championship to be awarded to the No. 1 Crazy Awesome Guy in Osaka! Hisaya Imabayashi was fed up with Hirata’s fake titles made out of show posters so he took the belt off him and ripped it apart because the gag didn’t work in Tokyo. Imabayashi said HARASHIMA is at the top of his block so he cannot afford to lose concentration because of this non-tournament match. So he ordered Toru Owashi to stop doing fake lucha, Danshoku Dieno to stop showing his ass because he is over 40 and Hirata to stop dancing because he should have some self-respect as a KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Champion. Everyone ignored his demands. Imabayashi complained until HARASHIMA stepped in. He thanked him for being thoughtful but all of these wrestlers are doing their acts with pride. Imabayashi understood and offered to sit on the top turnbuckle with the back of his pants pulled down so he could understand Dieno’s feelings. The match continued and HARASHIMA won it for his team. Dieno thanked HARASHIMA because he stood up for them. They are putting their support behind him to win the Grand Prix. Imabayashi was the last to leave the ring because it had to be disinfected after the match.

The opening match between Antonio Honda and Keigo Nakamura turned into both wrestlers attempted to Gongitsune poke each other. They chased each other under the ring and reappeared wearing each other’s wrestling gear! They ended up swapping personalities to so Nakamura was copying Honda’s physical movements. Honda pinned Nakamura with a Backslide and then celebrated as if he was Nakamura finally winning a match for the first time. The feeling quickly wore out because Honda’s body was still the same so he remembered who he was. So sadly this does not count as Nakamura’s first win.

BASARA Update, Usui Leaving Wrestling For Now, Tomorrow’s Match Orders

November 28, 2020

There is an update from BASARA over the members who went into self-quarantine this week. Earlier in the week Daiki Shimomura, Tetsuo Usui and Yuya Okada were in close contact with a person who was suspected to have Coronavirus (it’s not Yasu Urano, he is a separate case). This person has since reported that their PCR test came back negative and the people mentioned above are all free to return. Shimomura and Okada have ended their self-quarantine. Usui has as well but he also decided to take a break from pro wrestling. Usui also works in a welfare facility outside of his wrestling career. He had permission from BASARA and his other job to do both pro wrestling and social work but COVID-19 has made balancing those two parts of his life difficult. After this week’s scare, he made the decision to take a break from wrestling until the epidemic is over.

DDT “D-OU GRAND PRIX 2021 IN OSAKA!”, 29/11/2020
Osaka Azalea Taisho Hall

-. D-Ou Grand Prix 2021 – A Block: HARASHIMA (6) defeated Daisuke Sasaki (2) by Forfeit.
1. Antonio Honda Vs Keigo Nakamura
2. Blow Away The D-Ou GP 2021 From The DDT Variety Team!: HARASHIMA & Toru Owashi Vs Danshoku Dieno & Kazuki Hirata
3. D-Ou Grand Prix 2021 – B Block: Kazusada Higuchi (3) Vs Soma Takao (4)
4. D-Ou Grand Prix 2021 – B Block: Makoto Oishi (2) Vs Jun Akiyama (2)
5. D-Ou Grand Prix 2021 – B Block: Tetsuya Endo (5) Vs Yuki Ueno (2)
6. D-Ou Grand Prix 2021 – A Block: Yukio Sakaguchi (4) Vs MAO (2)
7. D-Ou Grand Prix 2021 – A Block: Konosuke Takeshita (2) Vs Chris Brookes (4)

HARASHIMA is currently on top of the A Block but he already got his points from tomorrow’s forfeit. Yukio Sakaguchi and Chris Brookes can catch up to him. Over in the B Block there will be a DAMNATION wrestler in first place after tomorrow’s show. If Tetsuya Endo loses he may have to share the spot with his enemy Kazusada Higuchi. But if Higuchi loses to Soma Takao then Takao could leapfrog over Endo.
