Shinjuku FACE Countdown Series

July 28, 2026

This September Shinjuku FACE will be closing down after 21 years of hosting wrestling shows and other events inside the heart of Tokyo’s nightlife. The final week of the venue’s business will consist of 12 shows from different wrestling promotions and personalities. It is called the Shinjuku FACE Countdown Series and below is the schedule of events for those who would like to keep track of it.

The final event is taking place on Shinjuku FACE’s last day of business. The show is being produced by DDT and CyberFight, similar to last year’s 20th Anniversary event. That was pretty much a glorified DDT lineup with special guests from other companies added in so I expect the series finale to be something along those lines.

BASARA “BASARA 312 ~UTAGE~” Results

July 24, 2026

BASARA “BASARA 312 ~UTAGE~”, 24/07/2026
Shin-Kiba 1st RING
??? Fans – Unannounced

1. Ali Najima defeated Takeru Inoue with a Crab Hold (9:10).
2. Daiki Shimomura & Kota Sekifuda defeated Lil’ Kraken & Yuki Kanzaki when Shimomura pinned Kraken with the Swanton Bomb (15:02).
3. FUMA defeated SAGAT with a Chickenwing Arm Lock (10:01).
4. Ryota Nakatsu defeated Thanomsak Toba with a Rear Naked Choke (7:58).
5. Isami Kodaka, Yuko Miyamoto & Shuji Ishikawa defeated Takumi Tsukamoto, Takato Nakano & Masato Kamino when Miyamoto pinned Nakano with the Moonsault Press (16:22).

20 years of connective bonds and experience between Shuji Ishikawa, Isami Kodaka & Yuko Miyamoto was the difference maker in today’s BASARA main event. While the result focuses more on Yankee Two Kenju beating Aijin Tag, it was Ishikawa who got on the microphone afterwards to ask Takumi Tsukamoto thinks he really can climb the mountain and win the Union MAX Title? Tsukamoto said he can do it but Ishikawa warned that Tsukamoto will feel the pain to the fullest on 2nd August. Isami Kodaka then asked Aijin Tag if they really think they fought like champions today? Takato Nakano said the only reason why Kodaka is standing out right now is because Yuko Miyamoto is with him. Kodaka claimed that even though he is a BASARA wrestler, on 2nd August he will be wrestling like an outsider with Miyamoto.

Ryota Nakatsu called his match with Thanomsak Toba a warm up for the Shunma Katsumata bout on 2nd August. With the Korakuen Hall show coming up, Nakatsu spoke to media after the show and talked about last summer’s BASARA show at Korakuen. That was when BASARA management went through a change and while they were worried about the state of the company, they ended up drawing their largest crowd in history. This year Nakatsu thinks his hunger for success has diminished a little and the company still isn’t stable yet but everyone there is giving it their all. He won’t know how the Korakuen show will go until he sees the results of everyone’s hard work.

He’s gone through some recent changes with his MMA contracts and now has a big RIZIN fight coming up in early September. He may disappear from DDT altogether to focus on training for the fight or DDT may set up something to help promote him down the line.

The current Right To Challenge Gauntlet holders heading into Korakuen Hall are Shunma Katsumata (Red), Viento Levante (Blue) and Rukiya (Purple AAAA).

Odaiba TOKYO IDOL FESTIVAL 2026 GREETING AREA Special Booth

1. Reina Seiji Vs X

This August Tokyo Joshi Pro will be involved with the Tokyo Idol Festival being held in Odaiba. The idol group NGT48 will be heavily featured in the festival and one of their attractions will be the pro wrestling debut of Reina Seiji! The idol was involved with last year’s “LOVE & PEACE” event in Malaysia and at the time she was approached by Sanshiro Takagi with an offer to give pro wrestling a try. She accepted with the intention of promoting NGT48 to a new audience. Through an interview with Tokyo Sports, Seiji revealed that she has a past connection with Saya Kamitani from Stardom because the two of them both worked on the same AKB project years ago. They caught up with each other last year during the taping of KUNOICHI (the women’s only version of SASUKE/Ninja Warrior). Seiji hasn’t decided on making future plans for wrestling yet. She is only focusing on her first match at the moment.

Well good news for him, the rematch is happening after all.

8. Princess Tag Team Titles: Miu Watanabe & Rika Tatsumi (c) Vs Shoko Nakajima & Hyper Misao
9. Princess Of Princess Title: Yuki Arai (c) Vs Miyu Yamashita

The Sweet Secret has been revealed. Mizuki’s opponent next weekend is going to be Willow Nightingale! The announcement came shortly after Nightingale made her return from a shoulder injury in AEW last night. She has a lot of plans on the horizon and one of them is to wrestle in Tokyo Joshi Pro again after last being their for “GRAND PRINCESS ’25”. Mizuki is also who she wants to wrestle for her return.

DDT “LET’S GO! IMAIKE MOTTOIKE 2026”, 19/07/2026
Aichi Imaike Gas Hall

1. 3 Way Tag Match: Kazuma Sumi & Yuni Vs Danshoku Dieno & Kazuki Hirata Vs Akito & Hinata Kasai

5. Special Single Match: HARASHIMA Vs Yuya Koroku
6. The 37KAMIINA Vs STRANGE LOVE CONNECTION!: Yuki Ueno, Shunma Katsumata & To-y Vs MAO, KANON & Muscle Sakai (w/ KIMIHIRO)

After Super Sasadango Machine lost a Mask Contra Mask stipulation against Strange Love Connection last month, the unit felt pity for him and decided he can join the group on a part time basis. The conditions are that it is Muscle Sasaki joining the unit instead of Sasadango Machine and he only gets to be a member whenever SLC has a match in Nagoya. Later this month will be Sakai’s first appearance in SLC.

GANBARE☆PRO “BAAHUBALI 2026”, 25/07/2026
Shin-Kiba 1st RING

3. Takuya Wada Vs Yuya Susumu
4. Tyson Maeguchi Vs Shuichiro Katsumura
5. Mizuki Watase, Shota Kawakami & SUSHI Vs Keisuke Ishii, Shigehiro Irie & Soma Takao

It looks like Ganbare☆Pro just can’t get rid of SUSHI now. He wanted to get booked again and the promotion are living up to their word this time. Although it did take Munetatsu Nakamura getting injured for this to happen. SUSHI will be filling in for the injured Nakamura in the 6-Man Tag Match, teaming with Mizuki Watase so soon after they fought over the Spirit Of Ganbare World Title. But Watase doesn’t have to worry about him when Shigehiro Irie is on the opposite team as part of a Team Drift reunion.

Sweet Secret, Mune’s ACL Injury, Super Japan Sends Off Shinjuku FACE

July 7, 2026

DDT “ASAKUSA ROX NAKAMISE FIGHTING 2026”, 08/07/2026
Tokyo Asakusa ROX 3G Super Multi Court

0. Dark Match – Nariagari Showcase: Tawaramachi Kid Jr., Super Nikuyaki Machine & Ariji Akinori Vs Benio, Tataiki Torinomi & TAKUYA
1. Shunma Katsumata & Viento Levante Vs Akito & Hinata Kasai
2. Yuya Koroku, Daichi Sato & MBM Vs Tomomitsu Matsunaga, Rukiya & Masami Inahata
3. Sanshiro Takagi & Yukio Naya Vs Jun Akiyama & Junta Miyawaki

5. Special 6-Man Tag Match: MAO, KANON (w/ KIMIHIRO) & Kazuma Sumi Vs Danshoku Dieno, Kazuki Hirata & Yoshihiko
6. Special 6-Man Tag Match: Yuki Ueno, Ryota Nakatsu & Naomi Yoshimura Vs Takeshi Masada, To-y & Yuki Ishida

The wrestlers from Nariagari have been chosen for the dark match. I recognize a few of those names from previous appearances. Couldn’t tell you what they’ve accomplished since then though.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “SUMMER SUN PRINCESS ’26”, 18/07/2026
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. Momo Sato Debut Match: Uta Takami & Ren Konatsu Vs Shion Kanzaki & Momo Sato
2. Shin Sakura Katsushika Hirota, HIMAWARI & Mifu Ashida Vs Raku, Pom Harajuku & Chika Nanase
3. Yuki Aino & Haru Kazashiro Vs MIRAI & Toga
4. Aja Kong Vs Arisu Endo
5. Yuki Kamifuku, Kumadori & Sakura Hattori Vs Sanshiro Takagi, Yumehito Imanari & Mahiro Kiryu
6. Mizuki Vs Sweet Secret
7. International Princess Title: Suzume (c) Vs Wakana Uehara
8. Princess Tag Team Titles: Miu Watanabe & Rika Tatsumi (c) Vs Shoko Nakajima & Hyper Misao
9. Princess Of Princess Title: Yuki Arai (c) Vs Miyu Yamashita

We have a mystery on our hands. Mizuki is taking on an unknown opponent who is only being advertised as “Sweet Secret“. If that name by itself is a clue then it’s the only one we’ve got so far.

One of the undercard tag matches is following up on a few things from earlier this year. MIRAI & Toga are teaming up again for a match against Shunrai Rekka!! Prism Greed. That means it’s another meeting between MIRAI and Haru Kazashiro after their really good singles match last month.

The debut of Momo Sato sees her getting thrown into the ring with the three other shortest term wrestlers in Tokyo Joshi Pro at the moment.

BASARA “BASARA 312 ~UTAGE~”, 24/07/2026
Shin-Kiba 1st RING

1. Takeru Inoue Vs Ali Najima
2. FUMA Vs SAGAT
3. Ryota Nakatsu Vs Thanomsak Toba
4. Daiki Shimomura & Kota Sekifuda Vs Lil’ Kraken & Yuki Kanzaki
5. Isami Kodaka, Yuko Miyamoto & Shuji Ishikawa Vs Takumi Tsukamoto, Takato Nakano & Masato Kamino

This is the go-home show before BASARA heads back to Korakuen Hall next month. Champions and challengers all mixing it up with each other is the name of the game in the main event. Shuji Ishikawa is teaming with Yankee Two Kenju given all of their history together while Takumi Tsukamoto is joining up with Aijin Tag.

GANBARE☆PRO “BAAHUBALI 2026”, 25/07/2026
Shin-Kiba 1st RING

1. YuuRI Vs Echika Miyabi
2. Toyama Army Vs Anti-Toyama Army: Ken Ohka, Akira Shoji, Shinichiro Tominaga & Leon Vs Yumehito Imanari, Sentaro Motojima, Moeka Haruhi & Rydeen Hagane
3. Takuya Wada Vs Yuya Susumu
4. Tyson Maeguchi Vs Shuichiro Katsumura
5. Mizuki Watase, Shota Kawakami & X Vs Keisuke Ishii, Shigehiro Irie & Soma Takao

The 6-Man Tag Match was supposed to have Munetatsu Nakamura in it but unfortunately he injured his right knee at the Ganbare☆Pro show over the weekend. He has since been diagnosed with a ruptured ACL and will be out of action for the time being.

A sudden civil war over the Toyama region is now turning into a little inter-promotional match with PURE-J. After the last GanPro show Ken Ohka declined to include Yumehito Imanari into his Toyama based group of wrestlers so Imanari went and formed his own Anti-Toyama team with Sentaro Motojima & Moeka Haruhi both agreeing to join him. Rydeen Hagane from PURE-J fills out his group. Ohka has bolstered up his forces by bringing in Akira Shoji & Shinichiro Tominaga as well as PURE-J’s Leon.

GANBARE☆PRO “IT’S A SUMMER FILM 2026”, 15/08/2026
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

2. Munetatsu Nakamura Vs Chris Brookes
3. Spirit Of Ganbare World Tag Team Titles: Takuya Wada & Tyson Maeguchi (c) Vs Shuichiro Katsumura & Yuya Susumu
4. Spirit Of Ganbare World Openweight Title: Mizuki Watase (c) Vs Shigehiro Irie

Pray for Mizuki Watase to come out of the match in one piece. The last time Shigehiro Irie fought for the Spirit Of Ganbare World Title he lost to Imanari but still beat him up bad enough that he was left in rough shape for weeks afterward. Now Watase wants to defend the title against his good friend even though Irie is kind of feeling like he’s past his peak. Maybe for Watase’s physical sake let’s hope that is the case.

Shuichiro Katsumura once held the Spirit Of Ganbare Tag Team Titles with Takuya Wada. Now he is trying to win them off him. Yuya Susumu is getting his first crack at winning a GanPro championship and maybe he can get it if Tyson Maeguchi is feeling a little punch drunk by the time the match takes place.

No word yet on if Nakamura’s match with Chris Brookes will be cancelled because of his knee injury. There is currently no timeframe for his return.

It’s time again for YuuRI to try and take down one of her idols. Takumi Iroha is her next big name joshi opponent.

The Speed Of Sounds were made team captains for the latest BASARA team challenge show. Two points were given to the winning team in every match and each bout had a wacky gimmick attached to it. The score was tied going into the main event so it all came down to a very serious singles match between Tsutomu Oosugi and Banana Senga, except it was really SAGAT and Takeru Inoue pretending to be SOS. The match fell apart when everyone interfered so the new decider was a 14-Man Tag Match that was won by Oosugi’s team.

There is still a month to go until Takumi Tsukamoto challenges Shuji Ishiakwa for the Union MAX Title. To help get him prepared Tsukamoto went through a gauntlet of seven mini matches with each bout scheduled for three minutes. Due to the short amount of time, Tsukamoto drew with most of his opponents but he was able to score two wins in there. The one blot on his record came from Daiki Shimomura pinning him with a Hurricanrana he wasn’t expecting.

SOS were back on the same page for the second show of the day. There were no hard feelings between them and they were able to win their tag match.

More spotlight on The 37KAMIINA versus Strange Love Connection to build up the KO-D Openweight Title match at Sumo Hall.

So Yuki Ishida is trying to tell anyone who will listen to him that he wants to change. A slightly different hairstyle didn’t work for him or grab much attention so now he thinks challenging for the DDT Extreme Title is the answer he’s looking for. Hideki Okatani didn’t think he is a worthy challenger until Ishida offered to put his hair on the line as well. Since he is a former sumo wrestler and the treatment of their hair is serious business, Okatani now has something of value he wants to take from Ishida.

When I saw that Minoru Suzuki & Jun Akiyama are teaming up together I began to worry for their opponents. Then I saw the opponents are Danshoku Dieno & Sanshiro Takagi so I now worry for everyone in general.

Tsukamoto’s Trial, Momo Sato’s Debut, Baka Gaijin In Nagoya

July 1, 2026

BASARA “BASARA 310 ~OJI NI KITSUNE 30~”, 05/07/2026
Tokyo Oji BASEMENT MONSTAR

1. Oosugi Army Vs Senga Army: X Vs X

There is a BASARA doubleshot taking place this Sunday but the first show from it is a bit of a mystery. It is only being advertised as a team challenge between the two wrestlers from Speed Of Sounds. One side will be captained by Tsutomu Oosugi while the other is captained by Banana Senga. Both team lineups are currently a mystery but you might be able to figure out who will be there based on the below card for Show #2.

BASARA “BASARA 311 ~OJI NI KITSUNE 31~”, 05/07/2026
Tokyo Oji BASEMENT MONSTAR

1. Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi Vs Baliyan Akki
2. Takato Nakano Vs Takeru Inoue
3. Masato Kamino & Seiya Morohashi Vs Tsutomu Oosugi & Banana Senga
4. 7 Match Trial Series: Takumi Tsukamoto Vs Ryota Nakatsu, Isami Kodaka, FUMA, Daichi Kazato, SAGAT, Daiki Shimomura & Lil’ Kraken

In order for Takumi Tsukamoto prepare for his Union MAX Title shot, he will be running through a gauntlet of seven wrestlers in a series of speedy matches. Each match only has a 3 minute time limit but Tsukamoto’s next opponent will enter the ring as soon as the previous match had ended. So there won’t be much time for Tsukamoto to catch his breath in between opponents. This isn’t happening at one of the All You Can Drink shows either so I don’t think he can get a hydration break either.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “SUMMER SUN PRINCESS ’26”, 18/07/2026
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. Momo Sato Debut Match: Momo Sato Vs X
2. Shin Sakura Katsushika Hirota, HIMAWARI & Mifu Ashida Vs Raku, Pom Harajuku & Chika Nanase
3. Aja Kong Vs Arisu Endo
4. Yuki Kamifuku, Kumadori & Sakura Hattori Vs Sanshiro Takagi, Yumehito Imanari & Mahiro Kiryu
5. International Princess Title: Suzume (c) Vs Wakana Uehara
6. Princess Tag Team Titles: Miu Watanabe & Rika Tatsumi (c) Vs Shoko Nakajima & Hyper Misao
7. Princess Of Princess Title: Yuki Arai (c) Vs Miyu Yamashita

With Yuki Kamifuku planning to retire at the end of the year, she has been promised a retirement road of matches to remember. First up is an absolutely unusual looking trios match featuring people Kamifuku would consider friends, mentors and possibly people she might find handsome. She is friends with Kumadori and Mahiro Kiryu, looks up to Sanshiro Takagi as a father figure and thinks Yumehito Imanari is good looking. She also thinks Sakura Hattori could do with meeting some new people to keep her company.

The newest idol to make her pro debut with Tokyo Joshi Pro is the Harajuku LAND idol Momo Sato. She was born in Kanagawa on 5th January, 2011 and stands 157cm tall. She already wrestled in TJPW back in March as part of the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title Battle Royal when Sanshiro Takagi scouted her. She was discovered because her brother Daichi Sato already wrestles in DDT and she became interested in following his footsteps. She intends to be a full time member of TJPW although there will be some shows missed because of her idol duties as well as her school studies.

BAKA GAIJIN + FRIENDS “VOL. 32: SO GLAD FOR THE MADNESS”, 19/07/2026
Nagoya Sportiva Arena

1. Special Tag Match: Chris Brookes & Yuta Oya Vs Mr. Bueno & Mr. Malo

The next Baka Gaijin + Friends show will be in a new location for them, the Sportiva Arena in Nagoya. Welcoming them will by Yuta Oya, the blind wrestler who previously fought against Brookes back in February. Mr. Bueno & Mr. Malo will be their opponents after Bueno demanded he be told in advance what his next match will be. He believes he should know this stuff in advance because he is the BK-G Openweight Champion.
