DDT “WEEKDAY ASAKUSA PARADISE 2019”, 05/09/2019
Tokyo Hanayashinai Asakusa Flower Theater
316 Fans – Super No Vacancy

1. Mad Paulie defeated Mizuki Watase with the Reverse Splash (7:33).
2. Masahiro Takanashi, Gorgeous Matsuno & Makoto defeated Danshoku Dieno, Kazuki Hirata & Saki Akai when Matsuno pinned Hirata with a Cradle (10:27).
3. Toru Owashi & Akito defeated Antonio Honda & Cody Hall when Akito pinned Honda with a School Boy (9:11).
4. Asuka & Tomomitsu Matsunaga defeated Konosuke Takeshita & Shunma Katsumata when Asuka pinned Katsumata with the Moonsault Press (11:08).
5. Yukio Sakaguchi & Ryota Nakatsu defeated Makoto Oishi & Yukio Naya when Sakaguchi pinned Oishi with the God’s Right Knee (10:57).
6. DAMNATION Vs Pro Wrestling BASARA!: Isami Kodaka & Takato Nakano defeated Daisuke Sasaki & Nobuhiro Shimatani when Kodaka pinned Shimatani with the Isamiashi Zan (12:01).
7. DAMNATION Vs ALL OUT!: Soma Takao, Tetsuya Endo & Puma King defeated HARASHIMA, Yuki Ueno & Naomi Yoshimura when Endo submitted Ueno with the Modified Yurikamome Hold (17:12).

Tetsuya Endo criticised HARASHIMA for failing to protect his friends from losing again. Endo then said it won’t be HARASHIMA or Jiro Kuroshio who will be main eventing Sumo Hall in November. It will be Endo taking back the KO-D Openweight Title!

Nobuhiro Shimatani used the DAMNATION signboard as a weapon in his match but it came at a great cost. He broke the sign over Isami Kodaka’s face! Kodaka pinned Shimatani then had a staredown with Daisuke Sasaki.

Konosuke Takeshita asked for a singles match with Asuka at the 29th September show in Korakuen Hall. Takeshita promised that if Asuka can beat him, she will become the next No. 1 Contender for the KO-D Title after Takeshita defends it in Sumo Hall.

Gorgeous Matsuno has been riding on a wave of momentum this week. He recently finished 2nd Place in the 50s Class for a Best Body Japan bodybuilding competition in Tohoku. His ultimate goal is to win the big Grand Prix competition happening in November. But before that happens he will focus on pro wrestling and he challenged Sanshiro Takagi for the O-40 Title.

DDT “WEEKDAY ASAKUSA PARADISE 2019”, 05/09/2019
Tokyo Hanayashinai Asakusa Flower Theater

1. Mad Paulie Vs Mizuki Watase
2. Masahiro Takanashi, Gorgeous Matsuno & Makoto Vs Danshoku Dieno, Kazuki Hirata & Saki Akai

4. Antonio Honda & Cody Hall Vs Toru Owashi & Akito
5. Konosuke Takeshita & Shunma Katsumata Vs MAO & Asuka
6. DAMNATION Vs Pro Wrestling BASARA!: Daisuke Sasaki & Nobuhiro Shimatani Vs Isami Kodaka & Takato Nakano
7. DAMNATION Vs ALL OUT!: Soma Takao, Tetsuya Endo & Puma King Vs HARASHIMA, Yuki Ueno & Naomi Yoshimura

A few injuries during the week alters tomorrow’s card. The light one is Sanshiro Takagi. He injured his right eye and is missing this show. He will be getting it further examined next week but hopes to be clear for Masahiro Takanashi’s show on the 15th. Gorgeous Matsuno took it upon himself to replace Takagi in Match #2.

The bad injury happened to Kazusada Higuchi during yesterday’s “UNIVERSE.1” show. He tore his right PCL and has no timetable for a return. He does not need surgery and will be aiming to recover as soon as possible. Ryota Nakatsu takes Higuchi’s place in Match #3.

DDT “PEANUT, YOU CAN GET SOME PROTEIN TOO! 2019”, 07/09/2019

Tomomitsu Matsunaga replaces Higuchi at the Chiba show.

DDT “CAMPSITE PRO WRESTLING 2019 ~THE PROMISED NATURE LAND~”, 08/09/2019
Yamanashi Natureland Om

1. Falls Count Anywhere 5 Way 6-Man Tag Match: HARASHIMA, Yukio Sakaguchi & Antonio Honda Vs Konosuke Takeshita, MAO & Yuki Ueno Vs Shuichiro Katsumura, Ken Ohka & Keisuke Ishii Vs Isami Kodaka, FUMA & Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi Vs Yuna Manase, Yuki Kamifuku & Mina Shirakawa

Sadly this means Higuchi will be missing the campsite match as well. Yukio Sakaguchi replaces him here. Also SAGAT is sick with the flu so he is being substituted with Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi.

BASARA “BASARA 105 ~THE 2nd FOX PRINCE~”, 14/09/2019
Tokyo Oji BASEMENT MON☆STAR

1. Ryota Nakatsu & Akiyori Takizawa Vs Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi & Masato Kamino
2. Sakigake!! Iron Family Special Rules – Give Up Only Match: Yusuke Kubo Vs Daichi Kazato
3. Sakigake!! Iron Family Special Rules – 2 Count Fall Match: FUMA Vs Minoru Fujita
4. Sakigake!! Iron Family Special Rules – Last Man Standing Match: SAGAT Vs Fuminori Abe
5. UWA World 6-Man Tag Team Titles: Ryuichi Sekine, Isami Kodaka & Daiki Shimomura (c) Vs Takumi Tsukamoto, Yasu Urano & Takato Nakano

Takato Nakano approached Sento Minzoku asking for a UWA World 6-Man Tag Team Titles shot. He gathered together Takumi Tsukamoto & Yasu Urano to be his partners.

Hopefully SAGAT will be well again in time for his Last Man Standing match.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “KFC 2 DAYS ’19 ~TEMPLE OF THE SUN~”, 15/09/2019
Tokyo Ryogoku KFC Hall

1. 3 Way Match: Nodoka Tenma Vs Himawari Unagi Vs Pom Harajuku
2. Yuki Aino & YUMI Vs Raku & Mahiro Kiryu
3. Rika Tatsumi Vs Suzume
4. Miyu Yamashita Vs Mirai Maiumi
5. Miu Watanabe Vs Hikari Noa
6. Natsumi Maki, Yuka Sakazaki & Mizuki Vs Yuna Manase, Maki Itoh & Mina Shirakawa
7. Sakisama Vs Yuki Kamifuku
8. Princess Of Princess Title: Shoko Nakajima (c) Vs Misao

With the new 2nd Gen belt over her shoulder, Shoko Nakajima is now even more motivated to defend the Princess Title. Her next challenger is the wrestler who has by far progressed the most among the roster this year, Misao. Ever since Misao shed her superhero persona and joined NEO Biishiki-gun she has gone from strength to strength.

I wonder if Sakisama holds a grudge with Yuki Kamifuku over her attempt to join NEO Biishiki-gun last year? Kamifuku joined the unit as an apprentice last May then quit after two weeks when she figured out it was a bad fit for her.

Miu Watanabe Vs Hikari Noa is a match to watch out for. The two members of the Up Up Girls (Pro Wrestling) have developed so much in the ring this year and part of the reason why is they branched out to other tag teams outside of their unit (Momoiro Sparkling for Watanabe and Pandemic Boo-Boo for Noa). Gotta be honest here, I think Raku is in danger of never catching up to them.

DDT “DRAMATIC SAINT INN☆ONISAN 2019”, 16/09/2019
Okayama Saint Inn Kurashiki

1. OPG Offer Match: Gota Ihashi, Great Mutiger & Yunosuke Vs Takuya Yamauchi, Tomoya Uehara & Scoville
2. Tomomitsu Matsunaga Vs Hiroshi Yamato
3. Toru Owashi & Kazuki Hirata Vs Danshoku Dieno & Yukio Sakaguchi
4. Cody Hall & Antonio Honda Vs Makoto Oishi & Yukio Naya
5. Mizuki Watase Marunage Match ~ Advent Of God!! Falls Count Anywhere In Kurashiki Hardcore 6-Man Tag Match: Mizuki Watase, MAO & Asuka Vs Sanshiro Takagi, Kazusada Higuchi & Shunma Katsumata
6. DAMNATION Vs ALL OUT!: Soma Takao & Nobuhiro Shimatani Vs Konosuke Takeshita & Akito
7. Kurashiki Specialty Beauty Area Special 6-Man Tag Match: Daisuke Sasaki, Tetsuya Endo & Mad Paulie Vs HARASHIMA, Yuki Ueno & Naomi Yoshimura

HARASHIMA and Tetsuya Endo continue their feud. The danger here is they could do so much damage to each other that there won’t be much left for Jiro Kuroshio to deal with at the end of the month.

No word yet on who will replace Higuchi in the Marunage match.

Gota Ihashi gets his Oretachi Pro Wrestling buddies into the opener.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “KFC 2 DAYS ’19 ~DESERT MOON~”, 16/09/2019
Tokyo Ryogoku KFC Hall

1. Mahiro Kiryu Vs Mirai Maiumi
2. Maki Itoh Vs YUMI
3. Miyu Yamashita & Himawari Unagi Vs Yuki Kamifuku & Mina Shirakawa
4. Sakisama & Misao Vs Rika Tatsumi & Suzume
5. Yuka Sakazaki, Yuki Aino & Pom Harajuku Vs Miu Watanabe, Hikari Noa & Raku
6. Shoko Nakajima & Mizuki Vs Dalys & Nodoka Tenma
7. International Princess Title: Natsumi Maki (c) Vs Yuna Manase

Natsumi Maki and Yuna Manase kind of have a sisterly relationship going back to their early years in Actwres girl’Z (am I allowed to mention that place?). Manase pinned Maki in Maki’s first match since becoming the International Princess Champion so obviously Manase gets the first shot.

CMLL luchadora Dalys makes her Tokyo Joshi debut. The 10 year veteran from Panama is being thrown right into the top card mix.

DDT “DRAMATIC OMUTA SKYSCRAPER 2019”, 17/09/2019

7. Omuta Specialty! The Moon Came Out The Moon Came Out! Barisugo Special 6-Man Tag Match: Konosuke Takeshita, Akito & Yuto Aijima Vs HARASHIMA, Yuki Ueno & Yukio Sakaguchi

I guess Higuchi is missing the heavyweight 3 Way too.

2. DDT Extreme Title – 3 Way Match: Jiro Kuroshio (c) Vs HARASHIMA Vs Tetsuya Endo

The winner of the main event not only becomes the DDT Extreme Champion but also earns a main event spot at “ULTIMATE PARTY 2019!”

Yuki Iino is done filming his rugby TV show. He comes back to go after the KO-D Tag Team Titles with Akito.

Asuka, Hiroshi Yamato and Cody Hall will be on the show.

Other: Kenny Omega, Riho, Jiro Kuroshio, Chris Brookes, Asuka, Hiroshi Yamato, Yasu Urano, Minoru Fujita, Miss Mongolia

To really make this an Ultimate Party, Konosuke Takeshita wants to defend the KO-D Openweight Title against the DDT Extreme Champion in a double title match! Right now the Extreme Champ in Jiro Kuroshio. All he has to do is get past HARASHIMA and Endo in the 3 Way Match. Easier said than done.

7. KO-D Tag Team Titles: Daisuke Sasaki & Soma Takao (c) Vs Jiro Kuroshio & Kazusada Higuchi
8. KO-D Openweight Title: Konosuke Takeshita (c) Vs Shinya Aoki

The Recycling Death Match will involve weapons and items used in previous DDT and Ganbare☆Wrestling matches that were just left lying around in storage afterwards. An example was used by Sanshiro Takagi when he kept a chair he used at the TAKAYAMANIA show from earlier this week. Ohka’s example is the jacket and ten gallon hat he wore during his absence from Ganpro shows last year.

Cody Hall is the mystery wrestler in the opener. He met Antonio Honda and got along with him because the Gongitsune hand gesture resembles the Wolfpac gesture that Cody’s dad Scott Hall is known for.

The campsite match this year also serves as a preview for “ULTIMATE PARTY 2019!”. Every team represents a different brand. DDT has HARASHIMA, Honda & Kazusada Higuchi on one team and Takeshita, MAO & Ueno on another. BASARA is sending Isami Kodaka, FUMA & SAGAT rather than wrestlers from just one unit. Last but not least Tokyo Joshi Pro has the newly formed Cat’s Pye squad taking part.

1. Union MAX Title: Ryuichi Sekine (c) Vs SAGAT

SAGAT pinned and eliminated Ryuichi Sekine at this week’s Shinkiba show. That is enough of a claim for him to get the next Union MAX Title shot. SAGAT has challenged for the title once before, losing to the previous champion Ryota Nakatsu last November.

DDT “WHO’S GONNA TOP 2019”, 29/09/2019

1. DDT Extreme Title – 3 Way Match: Jiro Kuroshio (c) Vs HARASHIMA Vs Tetsuya Endo

The grudge between HARASHIMA and Tetsuya Endo has gotten both of them a title match. They wanted the next shot at the DDT Extreme Title but got in each other’s way. Jiro Kuroshio doesn’t want to wait for a single challenger to be determined so he decided to face both of them at the same time.

BOYZ “(BRAND NEW) BOYZ 1 -DDT SPECIAL EDITION-”, 20/10/2019
Tokyo Belle Epoque Beauty School 2nd School Hall

1. Plump BOYZ: Nobuhiro Shimatani Vs Kouki Iwasaki
2. MAO UK Expedition BOYZ Send Off Match: Konosuke Takeshita Vs MAO
3. Yukihero Pro Wrestling Collaboration Match: Shunma Katsumata & Mizuki Watase Vs Kazuki Hirata & Hiroshi Yamato

The BOYZ brand is getting a fresh start under Akito’s management. Wrestlers booked on the first show will also be appearing at the SHIBUYA FASHION AWARD-BE Vint-Age 2019 festival the same day to promote a fashion brand called Yukihero Pro Wrestling. The main event will feature the wrestlers involved wearing costumes from that clothing line.

Akito doesn’t remember ever seeing MAO wrestle Takeshita in a singles match so he decided to book it before MAO’s excursion. Kouki Iwasaki is being booked on BOYZ because Akito wants to see him interact with DDT wrestlers more often. Higuchi and Yuki Iino are also being booked despite their alliance to the YaroZ brand. Akito believes there are women at these shows who find those kind of men attractive too. Akito plans to present them in a way that makes them more suitable for the BOYZ brand. DAMNATION wrestlers are disallowed except for Nobuhiro Shimatani because he works under Akito at the Drop Kick Bar.

81 wrestlers in total have been booked for the show and each promotion’s main championship will be defended in their own matches.

Kenny Omega returns to wrestle in DDT after a five year absence. A lot has changed since then but for now the people he wanted in his match are his biggest rival (Honda), his first tag partner (Riho, not “him”) and the wrestler who possibly might have caught his attention the most (Miyu Yamashita). Will there be more coming out of this? Wouldn’t be a party without surprises, would it?

2. Turnabout Pro Wrestling Trial: Fuminori Abe defeated Gouma Ryu and Banana Senga when Abe pinned both Ryu and Senga (8:12).
3. 4 Way Tag Match: Takumi Tsukamoto & Yasu Urano defeated Ryota Nakatsu & Naoki Tanizaki, Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi & Trans-Am ★ Ryuji and Daichi Kazato & Best Stretchman Amazon when Urano pinned Hiroshi with Modified Neck Cradle (16:07).
4. Sento Minzoku Vs Sakigake!! Iron Family 6-Man Tag Team Elimination Match: FUMA, Yusuke Kubo & SAGAT defeated Ryuichi Sekine, Minoru Fujita & Daiki Shimomura (15:15).
4a. FUMA eliminated Minoru Fujita by Ring Out (6:52).
4b. Ryuichi Sekine eliminated FUMA by Ring Out (6:57).
4c. Ryuichi Sekine eliminated Yusuke Kubo with the Combine (11:48).
4d. SAGAT eliminated Daiki Shimomura by Ring Out (14:01).
4e. SAGAT eliminated Ryuichi Sekine with the Goregrind to the back (15:15).
5. Hardcore Match: Isami Kodaka defeated G-Raver with the Zan Isamiashi Zan (15:31).

The American indy Game Changer Wrestling is currently making a splash in Japan and a visit to BASARA was on the cards for one G-Raver. The reason was simple, G-Raver wanted to avenge a loss to Isami Kodaka he suffered in GCW last year. The BASARA fans welcomed him with GCW chants but Kodaka was not so friendly towards him. The two sat down on chairs and hit each other with steel cans until Raver got busted open. Raver took over and put Kodaka through a table with a Diving Body Press out of the ring. A ladder came into play and Raver gave Kodaka a Suplex from the top of it. In the end Kodaka got the victory by hitting the Isamiashi Zan kick. Kodaka told G-Raver that he has beaten him twice now but is not against fighting him a third time. He called everyone in GCW crazy guys who came to Japan because they wanted to shed blood over here. He praised them for being a really crazy and good organisation. Kodaka & G-Raver shared beers and had a toast to GCW.

SAGAT was the last man standing in the Elimination Tag match. That was a big surprise for Ryuichi Sekine because he thought SAGAT was done for when he was knocked onto the edge of the apron. SAGAT fought back and stunned Sekine with a Headbutt. He then got back into the ring and hit Sekine from behind with the Goregrind for the upset win. SAGAT challenged Sekine to a Union MAX Title match afterwards.

Fuminori Abe was brought to wrestling court charged with lying about his education when he applied to join BASARA. He claimed to be a high school student when he is allegedly a junior high school student. Gouma Ryu defended Abe by saying he is a monk (he was dressed as one) so he does not do scams. Abe explained he attended high school at 16 but got suspended after a motorcycle accident. He dropped out of school three months later. Ryu and Banana Senga attacked Abe over this new found information but Abe fought both of them off. He then revealed that since dropping out he eventually returned to high school and graduated with a communications degree. The court declared him not guilty.

The American death match wrestler G-Raver makes his BASARA debut! He is part of the GCW contingent touring Japan next week. G-Raver defeated Kodaka in the 1st round of the Nick Gage Invitational last year in their only previous bout together.

A few relationship situations to look out for on this show. Has The Iron Family truly put their differences aside now that FUMA is on Team Dove Pro? How will Daichi Kazato gel with Best Stretchman Amazon now that he is only partially possessed by Best Stretchman V3? Last, the opener is between Takato Nakano and Masato Kamino who regularly team together.

1. Aiseki Tag Vs Aijin Tag: Fuminori Abe & Ikuto Hidaka defeated Takato Nakano & Masato Kamino when Hidaka submitted Kamino with the Shawn Capture (11:58).
2. Daichi Kazato defeated Daiki Shimomura with the Axe Bomber (10:43).
3. Takumi Tsukamoto & Yasu Urano defeated Ryota Nakatsu & Akiyori Takizawa when Urano pinned Takizawa after the Zudon from Tsukamoto (16:06).
4. Sakigake!! Iron Family Tag Match To Reconfirm Their Bonds: FUMA & Yusuke Kubo Vs Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi & SAGAT ended in a No Contest (5:29).
4a. 4 Way Match: FUMA defeated Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi, Yusuke Kubo and SAGAT when FUMA pinned SAGAT with the Heavy Metal Anthem (8:40).
5. Union MAX Title: Ryuichi Sekine (c) defeated Isami Kodaka by Knockout with a Right High Kick (26:04).
*V1 for Ryuichi Sekine.

It’s only his first defence but Ryuichi Sekine has removed arguably the biggest threat of his Union MAX Title reign by beating Isami Kodaka with a dangerously close finish. After a tense 25 minutes of fighting, both men were reduced to throwing every kick they could at each other. Sekine and Kodaka were both at their limit and struggling to stand to the point where they were at risk of being counted out. After another back and forth both men were laid out with Sekine getting the last strike with a Right High Kick. Sekine was barely able to get up by the count of 9 but Kodaka was down and out. Sekine thanked Kodaka for the match but admitted he does not feel like he exceeded him today. Beating him once isn’t enough to achieve that. BASARA will be going independent soon so Sekine will follow Kodaka into independence! He also said he will defend the MAX Title against any other wrestler on the BASARA roster.

Any attempt to bring harmony among The Iron Family went right out the window with their tag match. The Hiroshi du Soleil team pushed each other during their entrance while the IRON PRIEST team came out separately despite using the same song. The dissension within both teams got worse to the point where the tag team match looked more like a 4 Way Match. The match was called off when the referee Yuya Okada got knocked out during the chaos. Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi got the match to restart but this time as a 4 Way. When FUMA won, Hiroshi began singing “Imagine” which reduced FUMA to tears. FUMA said he never thought Hiroshi was into metal or rock music but here he is singing a song from the source of heavy metal… The Beatles!(?) Yusuke Kubo and SAGAT joined in the hug and all four forgave each other. The bonds of The Iron Family have been healed!

The main event of “FUMA FEST VOL.3” is FUMA Vs TAJIRI in a Hardcore Match. The show will take place on 16th November.

GANBARE☆WRESTLING “POCCHARI JOSHI PRO WRESTLING – P2 TRAINSPOTTING”, 20/08/2019

3. Keiko Takeshita International Friendly Match – Keiko Beyond The Heart: Yumehito Imanari Vs Konosuke Takeshita
4. Pocchaminator Mana Connor Chronicles: Mana Connor (Yuna Manase) Vs Pocchaminator (P-800)

Yumehito Imanari is promising an “Innovative Invention Experiment” on the show called πMAX Digital Theater. Fans in attendance will be wearing special glasses to watch an extra large screen that is so immersive you will feel like you are inside a womb again. He is using this technology to screen one of Yuna Manase’s DVDs. Those who see it will feel like they are being wrapped around in Manase’s motherhood.

Manase doesn’t get what Imanari is trying to do, she is only focusing on her match. And er… at least I think it is a match. The set up is the main event features the Pocchaminator, a cyborg from the year 2050 that has traveled back in time to kill people who have a BMI value above a certain level on behalf of major advertising agencies. The resistance is led by one person. Not Yuna Manase but Mana Connor! If she cannot stop the P-800 then there is no future for Pocchari Joshi Pro!

Konosuke Takeshita’s mother Keiko is a special ambassador on the show. She will oversee the match between Imanari and her son. Imanari hopes that Keiko will show as much love for him as she does for her own son.

I thought this show was just supposed to be a Trainspotting parody…
