Kota Umeda has been one of the most featured wrestlers on “DDT LIVE! MAJI MANJI” since the first episode. However Makoto Oishi feels that he should be the star of the show. The two of them will fight over the claim. It’s a bigger deal for Oishi than Umeda though. Umeda has bigger fish to fry.

Kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa will be in attendance so he can kick Ken Ohka’s ass. This is not supposed to be a wrestling match, it is literally going to be Nasukawa kicking Ohka up the ass.

5. A Match To Verify What To Do In Order To Keep Ken Ohka From Crying Against Tenshin Nasukawa ~ Losing Rule For Crying: Mike Bailey & Tanomusaku Toba defeated Danshoku Dieno & Ken Ohka when Bailey made Ohka cry (7:17).
6. Shigehiro Irie & Mizuki Watase defeated Kazusada Higuchi & Kouki Iwasaki when Irie submitted Iwasaki with the Tazzmission (7:04).
7. Kota Umeda “Mad Dog” 7 Match Series – 3rd Match: Masato Tanaka defeated Kota Umeda with the Sliding D (14:20).
-. Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title: Nobuhiro Shimatani defeated Makoto Oishi (c) with a School Boy (8:50 pm).
*Nobuhiro Shimatani becomes the 1,317th champion.

Kota Umeda put up a good fight against Masato Tanaka but it wasn’t enough and he is now 0-3 in his trial series. Tanaka referred to Umeda as “Mad Dog” after the match and told him he loves how bullish he was in the ring. Umeda was then told by Hisaya Imabayashi that his next opponents in the trial is Dick Togo! Umeda Vs Togo will be held on 10th July.

That wasn’t all. Makoto Oishi entered the ring with his newly won Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title to speak with Umeda. He said Umeda just had a great match that almost made him cry with joy. But that doesn’t matter. Oishi is the Iron Man Champion and he declared the championship is the number one prize in “DDT LIVE! MAJI MANJI”. Oishi was in the middle of challenging Umeda to a title match when Nobuhiro Shimatani ran into the ring and pinned him with a School Boy to win the title. Oishi tried to regain his senses and again demanded a match with Umeda until he realised Umeda left him alone in the ring.

Shigehiro Irie wasn’t satisfied by the amount of ring time he had with Kazusada Higuchi this week. The finish had Kouki Iwasaki laid out on a table in the ring. Mizuki Watase gave Higuchi a top rope Diamond Cutter onto Iwasaki to crash him through the table. Irie then made Iwasaki tap out with the Tazzmission. However earlier in the match Higuchi was able to defend himself against Irie’s Traffic Accident tackle. He warned Irie that he will make a big mistake if he thinks power is all that is needed to win their match.

An extra rule was added to Danshoku Dieno & Ken Ohka Vs Mike Bailey & Tanomusaku Toba. If a wrestler cried during the match his team would lose. Both Dieno & Ohka got kicked in the ass a lot and Ohka finally broke after repeated double kicks to the ass from Bailey & Toba. Dieno told Ohka he can’t be crying when he fights Tenshin Nasukawa in two weeks time. They will do a special training exercise on 20th June at the Dropkick Bar. They are going to watch “Grave of the Fireflies” and Ohka will have to not cry during it. Dieno also invited fans to bring in other sad movies for Ohka to watch. Ohka promises he will never cry again for the rest of his life, even if his family dies!

Konosuke Takeshita thinks Yuki Ueno & Koji Takeda are fresh opponents for him. He also reminded everyone that he is the same age as Ueno and Kota Umeda. He doesn’t want to lose against this fresh trio of wrestlers. Shunma Katsumata thinks ALL OUT will win the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles because their their hearts are fresh. Takeshita disagrees and thinks his own heart is a bit gritty.

DAMNATION continues to get the upper hand over HARASHIMA in their feud. Daisuke Sasaki & Soma Takao ambushed HARASHIMA during his entrance. Takao then rubbed salt into the wounds even further by doing the Somato on Masahiro Takanashi to win the match! However Takao claims it is an original move called the Soma-to, named after himself. It is different to HARASHIMA’s Somato because the knees are positioned at a different angle. Tetsuya Endo later said he is keeping his Right To Challenge Gauntlet as a back up until Mad Paulie figures out how to use his own Gauntlet.

All of the RTC Gauntlet holders in the Battle Royal were able to breath a sigh of relief when they found out the Gauntlets could not be transferred by ring out eliminations. Hiratimo Dragon eliminated most of the field by tricking the ref into thinking five of them all unmasked him. Makoto Oishi was able to eliminated Hiratimo and eventually win the match to become the Iron Man Champion. Hiratimo promised that next week he and Takatimo Dragon will go on a rampage! A concerned Sanshiro Takagi said on commentary that he won’t be here next week to see what happens.

Gota Ihashi wasn’t able to beat Yukio Sakaguchi but Sakaguchi was able to see how hard he is working towards a chance at redemption with Riki Choshu. Sakaguchi promised Ihashi he will pass on some good words to Choshu. Ihashi is hoping to get booked on Choshu’s next show on 10th July.

In past instances, wrestlers who eliminate a gauntlet holder in these matches even by throwing them out of the ring get to win their gauntlet. Usually the only way for a Gauntlet holder to survive is to win the match or eliminated themselves by jumping over the top rope.

The feud between Hercules Senga and the Best Stretchmen has driven Senga mad. So mad that he now wrestles in a banana suit and is called Banana Senga by the ring announcers. His first appearance as a banana saw him beat the Best Stretchmen in what was supposed to be the final match between them. However Best Stretchman V3 booked at least two more final matches between him and Senga this month. He wants to do more and more feud ending matches with Senga from now until I suppose the end of time.

302 Fans – Super No Vacancy

-. Tokyo Princess Cup – Round 1: Shoko Nakajima defeated Maho Kurone by Forfeit.
-. Tokyo Princess Cup – Round 1: Hikari defeated Marika Kobashi by Forfeit.
1. 2 Vs 3 Handicap Match: Shoko Nakajima & Hyper Misao defeated Hikari, Miu & Hinano when Misao pinned Hinano with a Rope Assisted Pin (7:56).
2. Saki-sama defeated Yuki Aino with the Versailles Foot Choke (6:11).
3. Reika Saiki defeated Yuki Kamifuku with the Jackhammer (6:10).
4. Yuu & Nodoka-oneesan defeated Miyu Yamashita & Raku when Yuu submitted Raku with the Katahajime (11:16).
5. Tokyo Princess Cup – Round 1: Rika Tatsumi defeated Azusa Christie with the Dragon Sleeper (10:23).
6. Tokyo Princess Cup – Round 1: Yuka Sakazaki defeated Mizuki with the Magical Magical Girl Splash (18:10).

Yuka Sakazaki used the Merry Go Round to position Mizuki for the Magical Magical Girl Splash. The Merry Go Round is a move used by Sakazaki’s twin sister Mil Clown. Sakazaki herself never used the move before today. After the main event Sakazaki said she does not want to lose this summer. She acknowledged that there are several girls missing from today’s show. That’s not good but she knows none of them wanted to miss it because everybody in Tokyo Joshi Pro fights together.

Rika Tatsumi wants to beat Shoko Nakajima in the next round for Maho Kurone. Nakajima and Kurone were supposed to have their match today before Kurone pulled out of the tournament. Tatsumi will pass on any good news from Kurone’s grave where the zombie is currently resting as soon as she hears from her.

Due to their current run of bad luck, Azusa Christie thinks NEO Biishiki-gun has become cursed somehow. She wants an investigation team to come in and er… investigate. Maybe Yuki Kamifuku is to blame.

Kamifuku tried to make Reika Saiki tired by challenging her to do squats. Saiki was able to do ten of them with Kamifuku getting a piggy back from her. Kamifuku tried to roll her into a pin afterwards but Saiki kicked out and won the match with the Jackhammer.

During the week Hyper Misao joined Makoto Oishi and Kamifuku to create a new unofficial section of the Up Up Girls called Up Up Girls (Fake). Today Misao continues to act like she is part of the group. She told everyone that she is the youngest member of the group at 17 years old and their next song will be called “Upper Hero”. She started to dance and was about to sing when Hikari, Miu & Hinano all kicked her down. The Up Up Girls did well with the 3-on-2 advantage until Misao blinded the referee and put her foot on the ropes while pinning Hinano. When the ref regained his sight he didn’t notice Misao’s use of the ropes and counted the pin.

The complete list of 2nd Round matches are Reika Saiki Vs Hyper Misao, Miyu Yamashita Vs Nodoka-oneesan, Rika Tatsumi Vs Shoko Nakajima and Yuka Sakazaki Vs Hikari. They will all take place on 17th June in Tokyo Narimasu Act Hall.

7. A Match To Verify What To Do In Order To Keep Ken Ohka From Crying Against Tenshin Nasukawa: Danshoku Dieno & Ken Ohka Vs Mike Bailey & Tanomusaku Toba

On this week’s episode of “DDT LIVE! MAJI MANJI”, Ken Ohka learned he will have to face kickboxing protege Tenshin Nasukawa later this month. Ohka is scared of what will happen to him when he faces the undefeated kickboxer. Danshoku Dieno is coming up with ideas to motivate Ohka and help him handle his fear. Maybe a match against two kick heavy wrestlers isn’t the brightest idea.

Gota Ihashi has been training to get on Riki Choshu’s next event. There are two problems to this. 1) Choshu wants nothing to do with him and 2) some of the DDT wrestlers are getting annoyed by Ihashi’s behaviour and now want to kick his ass. Yukio Sakaguchi mainly.

DDT and Big Japan are running shows back to back in the same venue that day. However I don’t think there will be cross-promotional matches on either show.

Ryutaro Watanabe was a DDT trainee from 2012 who was never able to wrestle because of two dislocated shoulder injuries. Now he returns years later asking Sanshiro Takagi if he could finally debut and do so in front of his hometown. Takagi accepted and Watanabe will wrestle against Tetsuya Endo. Endo was chosen because his debut in 2012 is the closest to the time Watanabe was in training.

Fujita blamed the injury on accumulated damage to his dick from wrestling on those shows so this July he is putting the company on hiatus until his dick has fully recovered. Tominaga wants to wrestle Fujita on behalf of Ganbare☆Wrestling to prove that Ganpro is better than Chinko Pro. This impressed Ken Ohka enough to take Tominaga out of his already booked tag match and put him against Fujita one on one.

Aaron Anders is from Compound Pro Wrestling in Oklahoma, USA. He takes Tominaga’s original spot in the opening tag team match.

5. Daisuke Sasaki, Soma Takao, Tetsuya Endo & Mad Paulie defeated HARASHIMA, KUDO, Yukio Sakaguchi & Masahiro Takanashi when Sasaki pinned HARASHIMA with the Sasaki Hurricanrana (11:41).
6. KO-D Tag Team Titles: Daisuke Sekimoto & Kazusada Higuchi (c) defeated Konosuke Takeshita & Shunma Katsumata when Higuchi pinned Katsumata with the Doctor Bomb (19:44).
*V2 for SekiGuchi.

One of the recurring things to happen on “DDT LIVE! MAJI MANJI” is Kazusada Higuchi putting his opponents through tables. This week he got a taste of his own medicine when Shunma Katsumata dove off the entrance gate to crush Higuchi through a table! Daisuke Sekimoto and Konosuke Takeshita did German Suplexes to each other but the result came down to Higuchi pinning Katsumata with the Doctor Bomb. The KO-D Tag Team Champions were told afterwards that their next defence will be on the 26th June episode of Maji Manji against DAMNATION members Tetsuya Endo & Mad Paulie. This match takes place two days after Higuchi challenges for the KO-D Openweight Title.

Good news everyone! Mad Paulie learned new words, “oppai” and “chininko”. Also Daisuke Sasaki revealed he is healthy enough to wrestle again so he added himself to the DAMNATION Vs DDT Elder Brothers match, giving DAMNATION a 4 on 3 advantage. Masahiro Takanashi came out to even the odds and the match became 4 Vs 4. Once again cheating from DAMNATION was the reason for HARASHIMA losing the match. Sasaki used a chair to block the Somato then Soma Takao gave HARASHIMA a Low Blow. Sasaki pinned him with the Hurricanrana afterwards. Sasaki told Soma and Endo that he heard a rumour about them not getting along and encouraged the two to kiss and make up. Endo took it literally puckered up for a kiss but Soma stayed quiet and left the ring.

Ken Ohka appeared at the show to learn what the Punishment Match he earned last week was going to be. Producer Danshoku Dieno told him that on the 26th June episode of Maji Manji, Ohka will take on the 19 year old kickboxing phenom Tenshin Nasukawa! This kid has been competing for four years and currently has a 26-0 pro record. Dieno knows how much Ohka wants to be a major sports player so this pro wrestling versus kickboxing match will be perfect for him. Ohka tried to convince everyone that this isn’t a punishment match and he is excited for it.

Antonio Honda literally tied Yoshihiko into knots during their match. Yoshihiko recovered and hit a big Sasuke Special to both Honda & Keisuke Ishii outside the ring. Yoshihiko stunned Honda with a Lip Lock which allowed Dieno to give him the Danshoku Driver. Dieno then pulled Yoshihiko on top of Honda for the pin.

Mizuki Watase’s time with two Right To Challenge Gauntlets was short lived. Mike Bailey pinned him today to win the rights of the black gauntlet. Both Bailey & MAO want to cash in the gauntlet at the 24th June show in Korakuen Hall for a KO-D Tag Title match. It had to be explained to them that the gauntlet is only used for KO-D Openweight Title shots.

Yesterday Riho celebrated her 21st birthday. HARASHIMA gave her a unique gift, permission to write “Somato” in kanji. Both wrestlers use the Somato as their finishing move but Riho’s version was previously written in hiragana (そうまとう). Now that she is an adult she gets to write it in kanji (蒼魔刀). During today’s tag match, Toru Owashi attempted to do La Magistral Cradle on Saki Akai. Takanashi gave Owashi a Thrust Kick and Akai rolled Owashi into a School Boy. Riho stopped the pin by hitting the Somato on Akai and Owashi was able to pin Akai to win the match.

Akito called out Kota Umeda for failing to defend the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles over the last two months. Earlier in the show it was confirmed that ALL OUT would be challenging Umeda, Yuki Ueno & Koji Takeda for the titles on 24th June. Umeda changed the subject by promoting his match next week with Masato Takana. He was interrupted by Makoto Oishi who wanted to fight him over who the real star of Maji Manji should be. Umeda ignored him.

The big news coming regarding Tokyo Joshi Pro this week is their entry into the 2018 Chikara King Of Trios! The three longest serving women on the roster Miyu Yamashita, Yuka Sakazaki & Shoko Nakajima are joining forces to enter the illustrious trios tournament being held in Easton, Pennsylvania on Labor Day weekend. Chikara are naming them the Tokyo Joshi Freedom Fighters to fit in with the Star Wars theme being used this year. This will be the American debuts for all three girls.

The DDT family have a history competing in Chikara’s big tag team tournaments over the years. KUDO, MIKAMI, MIYAWAKI and Yoshiaki Yago (the latter two represented K-DOJO but they were also regulars in DDT at the time) were part of the 2006 Tag World Grand Prix (which was how I discovered DDT in the first place). DDT have also sent teams to the 2007, 2008 and 2009 editions of King Of Trios with the likes of KUDO, Danshoku Dieno, Kota Ibushi and Michael Nakazawa involved among others.

Daisuke Sasaki has decided on the stipulation for the HARASHIMA Vs Soma Takao match. He wants to make it easier for DAMNATION to get the DDT Extreme Title so he is putting himself into the bout to make it a 3 Way Match! All of DAMNATION have promised to be sportsmanlike for the match. Sasaki and Takao will not cheat. Tetsuya Endo and Mad Paulie will not interfere. Whether or not Sasaki is still injured entirely depends on if somebody wants to beat him up or not.

6m. Kazusada Higuchi eliminated Akito by Pinfall (26:30)
6n. Kazusada Higuchi eliminated Kota Umeda with the Doctor Bomb (29:06).

Six envelopes were hung above the ring for the main event. Out of the 15 wrestlers fighting over them it was Mizuki Watase, Tetsuya Endo, MAO, Antonio Honda, Ken Ohka and Meiko Satomura who pulled one down each. Kazusada Higuchi went on to win the Battle Royal portion of the match, last pinning his rival Kota Umeda to get the guaranteed KO-D Openweight Title shot on 24th June. After the match each of the prize winners opened their envelopes to discover what they won. Everybody got a Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere gauntlet except for Ohka. He pulled out a piece of paper that said “Punishment Game”. He now has to participate in one for next week’s episode of “DDT LIVE! MAJI MANJI”.

The others can cash in their gauntlet for a KO-D Title match whenever they want between now and 14th October. However if any of them lose a wrestling match in any company they must pass the gauntlet over to the person who beats them. That rule stays in effect until the title match is cashed in. Watase has no intention to use his title shot while Shigehiro Irie is the champion. He will wait until somebody else beats Irie but that totally won’t happen. Endo wants to sell his gauntlet. MAO thinks his gauntlet looks cool so he doesn’t want to get rid of it yet. Honda will wait for the right moment to cash in. Satomura has a busy schedule with Sendai Girls but will keep close attention to DDT in the meantime. She wants to get her title match whenever the opportunity is most attractive to her.

Daisuke Sasaki came to a decision over what kind of match HARASHIMA and Soma Takao will have for the DDT Extreme Title. It’s a match where chairshots and low blows don’t matter. It will be a 3 Way Match with himself included! HARASHIMA realised he will be in a 2-on-1 Handicap then wondered is Sasaki was still injured. Sasaki admitted he was never injured! He took that back when Yukio Sakaguchi threatened him. HARASHIMA accepted the match idea and promised the fans he will definitely win.

The AbemaTV audience got to decide the rules for Danshoku Dieno Vs Tanomusaku Toba. The choices included Normal Rules, Pinfall Only and KO Only but the viewers overwhelmingly chose the last option, Kiss Only. Pins and submissions would only count if the wrestler kissed the opponent in the process. Toba told everyone that he got married in February and he now has stepchildren. His 6th grade stepdaughter accepted him but his 1st grade stepson Yuto refuses to call him Dad. Toba wanted to beat Dieno to earn Yuto’s adoration. He hesitated to follow the Kiss Only rule but he had to do what he had to do. Unfortunately Dieno gave his own Lip Lock to Toba, hit an Exploder Suplex and won the match with the True Danshoku Driver. Dieno used his screen time after the match to speak to Yuto on the stream. Dieno said Toba is not even close to being a great person and he likes to visit Chinese salons to pass the time. But no matter how beaten up he gets, he always stands back up through clenched teeth even though he doesn’t have many teeth left. Toba promised he will make Yuto proud somehow. Dieno gave Toba another Lip Lock and he fell down, exposing his ass to the camera.

Makoto Oishi lived up to last week’s ruling and had his head shaved into a Reverse Mohawk. He defended the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title against Yoshihiko in a hard fought battle that ended in defeat. Oishi gave Yoshihiko a Turnbuckle Bomb then he climbed the turnbuckles for Corner Punches. Yoshihiko grabbed Oishi and Power Bombed him into the centre of the ring. It then hit the Resurrection for the three count to become the champion. Oishi swore revenge. At least on the bright side his new wife Misaki Ohata likes the hairstyle.

Shunma Katsumata says he is already feeling great after a week working out in Gold’s Gym. Konosuke Takeshita noticed Katsumata was more confident today and that added a sense of security surrounding their team.

The show began with a new commercial for the Suntory drink Jasmine Tea starring Kota Ibushi and Yuki Ueno. In the ad Ueno plays a salaryman who experiences a refreshing sensation from drinking Jasmine Tea that is represented by Ibushi giving him different wrestling moves.

Tokyo Princess Cup 1st Round

May 28, 2018

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “THE 5TH TOKYO PRINCESS CUP”, 03/06/2018
Shinjuku Village Studio C 106

1. Marika Kobashi, Yuka Sakazaki & Raku Vs Mizuki, Maho Kurone & Hinano
2. Azusa Christie Vs Yuki Kamifuku
3. 3 Way Match: Shoko Nakajima Vs Rika Tatsumi Vs Yuki Aino
4. Tokyo Princess Cup – Take A Chance: Miu Vs Hikari
5. Tokyo Princess Cup – Round 1A: Reika Saiki Vs Yuu
6. Tokyo Princess Cup – Round 1B: Hyper Misao Vs Saki-sama
7. Tokyo Princess Cup – Round 1C: Miyu Yamashita Vs Maki Ito
8. Tokyo Princess Cup – Round 1D: Nodoka-oneesan Vs Yuna Manase

Reika Saiki wants to experience deja vu and repeat last year’s road to success. She won the previous Tokyo Princess Cup and became the TOKYO Princess Champion quickly afterwards. If she repeats this then she can regain the title from Miyu Yamashita. She sees her opening round match against Yuu as a Muscle Showdown. Yuu thinks the distance between her and the title is growing. She wants to show her strength against Saiki.

After last year’s performance, Hyper Misao thinks she is a stronger wrestler when put in a tournament setting. She hopes the “Goddess of Summer” will be smiling on her again this year. Saki-sama loves tournaments. In fact she hosts plenty of private tournaments in her manor for her own entertainment. But she never took part in one herself so this is the perfect opportunity to try it out against the common people. She is also interested in the Take A Chance qualifier match because she may find a beautiful flower bud that hasn’t found its colour yet.

Yamashita and Maki Ito argued over the Princess Title. Ito thinks she is stronger but Yamashita being the champion proves her wrong. Ito isn’t looking ahead at the rest of the bracket. Her only goal right now is to beat Yamashita in the 1st Round and claim the belt for herself! Doesn’t matter if the match is non-title.

Nodoka-oneesan and Yuna Manase is a more peaceful pairing. Nodoka has been doing her gymnastics to prepare for the tournament. Manase as the eighth entrant thinks she has the lucky number because 8 is the shape of her chest when she lies down.

The Take A Chance qualifier is between two of the Up Up Girls. Either Miu or Hikari will advance to the tournament proper. Miu thinks she has the power and stamina to defeat her teammate. Hikari wants Miu to know she is tougher than everyone thinks. Hikari wants to make the most of this opportunity so she can wrestle as many of her seniors as possible. Both of them also realise a Tag Title shot is in their future if either of them beats Marika Kobashi in Round 1.

3. Tokyo Princess Cup – Round 1G: Yuka Sakazaki Vs Mizuki
4. Tokyo Princess Cup – Round 1H: Marika Kobashi Vs Miu or Hikari

Azusa Christie is entering the tournament so she can stay close to Saki-sama. She thinks Rika Tatsumi’s nickname is “White Kokeshi”. Tatsumi is aware of how successful Christie has been ever since she was turned into a brainwashed nun. But Tatsumi has grown stronger too and she doesn’t need to cling onto somebody else to find success.

Shoko Nakajima has felt a little aimless ever since she lost the TOKYO Princess Tag Team Titles. When she watched Yamashita and Tatsumi fight for the TOKYO Princess Title earlier this month it shook her emotions. She was on the verge of tears until she told herself “I want to be the best.” Maho Kurone has suddenly begun to act more friendly towards others. She became interested in championships because her friend Tatsumi wanted to be a champion. Kurone does not like to eat anything that is not her friend.

Mizuki thinks Yuka Sakazaki is too noisy but she still has fun wrestling her. The real problem is Mizuki has never beaten Sakazaki. She may need to destroy her voice to beat her.

Marika Kobashi’s 1st Round opponent is against one of the Up Up Girls. Whoever it is, Kobashi is looking forward to fighting them. She has two years more experience than them so she is confident of advancing to Round 2.
