4. Danshoku Dino & Keisuke Ishii Vs Daisuke Sasaki & Mad Paulie ended in a No Contest (9:00).
5. Kota Umeda defeated Yuki Ueno with the Umeda Driver (15:54).
6. Kazusada Higuchi, Kouki Iwasaki & MAO defeated HARASHIMA, Soma Takao & Makoto Oishi Vs Kazusada Higuchi, Kouki Iwasaki & MAO when Higuchi submitted Oishi with the Modified Canadian Backbreaker (11:00).
7. Road To KO-D! ‘Hama Special Tag Match: Shuji Ishikawa & Tetsuya Endo defeated Konosuke Takeshita & Shunma Katsumata when Endo pinned Katsumata with the Shooting Star Press (16:26).

Konosuke Takeshita and Shuji Ishikawa will have plenty of chances to know each other’s strengths as their Sumo Hall preview series of matches continued today. Ishikawa said that his body will not break before 25th March. Daisuke Sasaki told everyone that Mad Paulie is not allowed to sing or dance to celebrate Ishikawa’s victories until Ishikawa beats Takeshita at Sumo Hall. Both Ishikawa and Paulie were shocked to hear this news.

Kazusada Higuchi said he is feeling good again after his latest match with HARASHIMA involved. Higuchi made Makoto Oishi submit to the Canadian Backbreaker to win. Next on his list of priorities is his match with Naomichi Marufuji in Korakuen Hall. Higuchi sees this as a big chance to beat one of the best pro wrestlers going today. He wants the fans expecting him to crush Marufuji!

After a month of intense exchanges in the ring, Kota Umeda and Yuki Ueno fought each other one on one to settle their differences. Umeda’s kicks overwhelmed Ueno but he took as many of them as he could before falling to the Umeda Driver. The two shook hands after the match but Ueno was still in a bad mood. He explained backstage that he is frustrated because he wants to become stronger but hasn’t felt any change in him recently. He doesn’t dislike Umeda, he is just angry that Umeda was able to advance his skills after coming back from a serious injury.

DAMNATION have awoken something dark and evil inside Danshoku Dino. He was taken out of his tag match when Daisuke Sasaki injured him with a chair attack. Keisuke Ishii had to fight on his own and was on the verge of tapping out to the Cross Facelock when Great Muta style chanting could be heard around the room. Dino came back as The Great Homo and spat a milk like mist at everyone in the ring! The match was stopped but The Great Homo continued his rampage. He took out a metal spike and attacked Sasaki with it, aiming for his ass. Sasaki was able to escape when other wrestlers at ringside pulled Dino away from him.

The BASARA team showed they are united towards achieving their goal of winning the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles. They came out to the BASARA theme song instead of their own. When they won today’s match, Ryota Nakatsu & Fuminori Abe mocked Shuten-dōji by taking out cans of beer from under the ring and holding their own victory toast. An angry Yukio Sakaguchi chased them away from the ring.

Antonio Honda tried to impress Samara by telling his story about “Gon, The Little Fox” in English.

KUDO was mostly ignored by Toru Owashi and Daiki Shimomura in the 3 Way Match. Both of them even yelled at him to stop interfering in their fight. Owashi finally allowed KUDO to get involved by asking him to do the Diving Double Knee Drop to Shimomura. But when KUDO climbed the ropes, Owashi grabbed Shimomura and pinned him with La Magistral Cradle. Afterwards KUDO said he was relieved that his daughter wasn’t here to see this match nor will she be allowed to watch it on DDT UNIVERSE.

3. Gongitsune Vs Former Idol Wrestler!: Makoto Oishi defeated Antonio Honda with a European Clutch (11:10).
4. 3 Way Tag Match: Daisuke Sasaki & Tetsuya Endo defeated Yukio Sakaguchi & Masahiro Takanashi and Joey Ryan & Samara when Endo pinned Takanashi with the Swivel Torture Rack Bomb (7:39).
5. Danshoku Dino, Sanshiro Takagi & Toru Owashi defeated Kazuki Hirata, Keisuke Ishii & Mizuki Watase when Dino pinned Hirata with the Screw Danshoku Driver (8:18).
6. HARASHIMA & Soma Takao defeated Kazusada Higuchi & Kouki Iwasaki when Takao pinned Iwasaki with the Gin And Tonic (11:58).
7. The Mountain Of Akagi Is Far Tonight! Maebashi Specialty Tag Match: Konosuke Takeshita & Akito defeated Shuji Ishikawa & Mad Paulie when Akito submitted Paulie with the Perfect Figure 4 Leg Lock (14:46).

In the first preview of the “JUDGEMENT 2018” main event, ALL OUT beat DAMNATION but neither Konosuke Takeshita or Shuji Ishikawa were part of the finish. Both of them wound up outside the ring after Takeshita Clotheslined Ishikawa over the ropes. Akito took down Mad Paulie after targeting his legs and trapped him in the Perfect Figure 4 Leglock to win. Akito told Takeshita afterwards he will support him on the front line leading up to Sumo Hall. Takeshita said he got to train against the power of Ishikawa’s Lariats as well as his Knee Strikes today. They then invited Shunma Katsumata into the ring to talk about his upcoming DDT Extreme Title match on 25th February. Takeshita ended the show by announcing the main event for Korakuen Hall on 25th February. He is teaming up with HARASHIMA to take on Ishikawa and Daisuke Sekimoto!

Although Kazusada Higuchi’s team lost today, he still gestured at HARASHIMA that he will take his KO-D Tag Team Title belt. Higuchi is facing Naomichi Marufuji one on one in a preview of the tag title match.

Kazuki Hirata complained to Danshoku Dino about his matchmaking for their trios bout. Hirata didn’t want to team with his usual T2Hide partners because he thinks they have no future. There is a new generation in DDT featuring wrestlers like Keisuke Ishii, Mizuki Watase and himself. Based on these comments, Dino changed the match to himself, Sanshiro Takagi & Toru Owashi against Hirata, Ishii & Watase in a battle between two generations. Dino’s team won but Watase had something to say afterwards. The New Generation weren’t able to beat the Super Generation today. But when Watase returns to Maebashi he promises to advance beyond the Super Generation! The two sides agreed to a rematch when DDT returns to Maebashi.

Daisuke Sasaki tried to flirt with Samara during the 3 Way Tag Match by asking her to make children with him. Samara was disgusted and pushed him away. He tried to give her the Vietnam Driver II but Joey Ryan saved her with a Super Kick to Sasaki. The match broke down until Tetsuya Endo and Masahiro Takanashi were left in the ring. Endo countered the Takatonic into the Torture Rack Bomb to win the match for DAMNATION.

Makoto Oishi was able to pin Antonio Honda with a European Clutch after Honda missed the Diving Fist Drop.

Kota Umeda and Yuki Ueno continue to go after each other and had to be kept apart after their match again.

1. World Crazy Wrestler No. 1 Decision Battle In DDT: Joey Ryan Vs Colt Cabana
2. Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title: Super Sasadango Machine (c) Vs Jiro Kuroshio
3. Dramatic Dream Match: Danshoku Dino, Keisuke Ishii & Ken Ohka Vs Great Muta, Daisuke Sasaki & Tetsuya Endo
4. KO-D Openweight Title: Konosuke Takeshita (c) Vs Shuji Ishikawa

The D-King Grand Prix is done and dusted so now we move on to the next big event, DDT’s 21st Anniversary show. Konosuke Takeshita and Shuji Ishikawa headlines the event in a rematch from “RYOGOKU PETER PAN 2016”. The situation now is similar to back then. Takeshita is the defending KO-D Openweight Champion and Ishikawa is the unstoppable giant coming to reclaim the belt.

Daisuke Sasaki claims that The Great Muta agreed to become a DAMNATION pet. Probably not the best idea for Sasaki to put words in his mouth.

Super Sasadango Machine has been ordered to defend the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title at least twice a week every week until “JUDGEMENT 2018” takes place. If he fails to do this then Producer Danshoku Dino will turn his match with Jiro Kuroshio into a non-title match. Sasadango has come up with an idea to rack up his title defences. He has openly invited local celebrities and other personalities to visit his office in Niigata to try and win the Iron Man Title from him. In return he will use his and DDT’s Twitter accounts to promote whatever it is the guests are currently working on. If Sasadango kicks out of their attack and escapes the room then it counts as a successful defence. The plan is off to a good start and he already achieved his minimum two defences for this week earlier today.

The list of booked wrestlers who are yet to have a confirmed match are Naomichi Marufuji, Daisuke Sekimoto, Mike Bailey, Ethan Page, LiLiCo, Yoshiko, Keisuke Okuda, Reika Saiki and Lady Beard.

5. NωA FINAL CONCERT In Korakuen Hall ~ T2Hide This Is The Real Last Time! Final!! Final Battle!!: Makoto Oishi, Shunma Katsumata & MAO defeated Sanshiro Takagi, Toru Owashi & Kazuki Hirata when Katsumata pinned Hirata with the ¡Hasta La Vista! (8:36).
6. Daisuke Sasaki, Tetsuya Endo & Mad Paulie defeated Konosuke Takeshita, Akito & Mike Bailey when Endo pinned Bailey with the Tetsuya In The Sky With Diamonds (15:07).
7. D-King Grand Prix – Final: Shuji Ishikawa defeated HARASHIMA with the Giant Slam (19:12).

After an intense month of round robin matches it was now time for the first ever D-King Grand Prix grand final! The two group winners HARASHIMA and Shuji Ishikawa faced off with a lot of important prizes on the line for the winner. HARASHIMA used short ranged Somatos to counter Ishikawa’s biggest moves but was too beaten down to fully capitalise on them. The tables turned when Ishikawa caught the Somato and countered it into the Fire Thunder Driver. HARASHIMA kicked out at one! Ishikawa quickly hit a Knee Lift but HARASHIMA kicked out at two. Ishikawa then did the Splash Mountain but somehow HARASHIMA kicked out again. He tried to kick his way back into the fight but Ishikawa stopped him with a Trapped Headbutt followed by the Kamigoe and another Knee Lift. HARASHIMA was still kicking out but the Giant Slam put him away once and for all. Shuji Ishikawa wins the 2018 D-King Grand Prix!

Ishikawa’s prize is 2,000,000 yen in prize money (he is considering a bitcoin investment) and the guaranteed KO-D Openweight Title main event match at Sumo Hall on 25th March. Konosuke Takeshita entered the ring and stood across from his next challenger. Ishikawa told him that when he had the belt, it shined more. He has to give it more light again. Takeshita praised Ishikawa for his contributions to pro wrestling in Japan. He is one of the best. But Takeshita will have held the belt for over a year when their match takes place. He told Ishikawa they will destroy the ring together in Sumo Hall!

When Takeshita left, Daisuke Sasaki congratulated Ishikawa for crushing their hated enemy HARASHIMA. He was then distracted by Tetsuya Endo’s new hairstyle. Endo tried to change the subject by encouraging Ishikawa to sing a victory song. Ishikawa sang “Love” by Hoshino Genki while Mad Paulie tried to dance along to the music. When the song was over Ishikawa told everyone on 25th March he wants to win the KO-D Title then sing with Mad Paulie at Sumo Hall!

DAMNATION attacked ALL OUT with chairs after beating them in the semi-main event. Shunma Katsumata ran in to rescue the group but was outnumbered. DAMNATION gave him a Super Power Bomb, leaving the entire ALL OUT unit in pieces.

Today for the last time NωA went out to perform their greatest hits. They begun with “ωe are the HERO!!” then moved on to “Never Give Up☆I LOVE YOU”. However their second song was interrupted by T2Hide. Sanshiro Takagi believed the performance was being treated by the audience as a toilet break. Takagi also complained the concert was going so long that there was no time for Kazuki Hirata to do his entrance. The match devolved into a musical duel between NωA and “Never Give Up☆I LOVE YOU” against T2Hide and “Tokyo GO!” until Katsumata gave Hirata the Lightning Spiral to win the match. After the match each NωA member spoke of their future plans and goals. MAO wants to team more with Mike Bailey and cause a full rampage in DDT together. Makoto Oishi wants to achieve the DDT Grand Slam by winning every championship in the company. In the meantime he will go back to his old tag team with Danshoku Dino. Katsumata said there is another unit he would like to join. Konosuke Takeshita & Akito then appeared and stood next to Katsumata. He is joining ALL OUT!

A match featuring Dino, Joey Ryan and Jiro Kuroshio was as perverted as expected. Kuroshio had the back of his tights pulled down but he still did a bare-assed Quebrada out of the ring. Yukinori Matsui was accidentally knocked out by Dino’s Lip Lock. Ryan tried to put a lollipop into Keisuke Ishii’s mouth but he pushed it away into Dino’s backside. The lollipop was then stuffed into Kuroshio’s mouth. Dino got his hands on Kuroshio. Ryan took out the lollipop and tried to put it in Ishii’s mouth again. Ishii again pushed it away back into Dino’s backside and then into Matsui’s mouth. Matsui woke up, disqualified everyone and fainted again. When everything calmed down, Ryan called for Producer Dino’s attention. He called Dino the No. 1 crazy wrestler in DDT but Ryan is the No. 1 Crazy Gaijin. To prove it Ryan wants to face Colt Cabana at “JUDGEMENT 2018”! Dino was busy with Kuroshio and said okay. Super Sasadango Machine then asked Dino if he could defend the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title against Kuroshio on the same show. Kuroshio accepted the challenge. However Dino wants Sasadango to defend the title at least two times a week until the match takes place otherwise the title will not be on the line. The reason for this is Dino wants the Ironman Title to get more attention and no one in DDT is better at marketing than Sasadango.

That wasn’t the end for Dino on this show as he had the important decision to make in regards to his 6-Man Tag match against The Great Muta at “JUDGEMENT 2018” in March. Ken Ohka is his obvious first pick. Ishii then asked to be Dino’s pick. He argued that their record as a tag team stands at 25 wins and 10 losses. Good enough! Suddenly they were ambushed by Daisuke Sasaki & Tetsuya Endo! The DAMNATION wrestlers spat liquid into Dino & Ishii’s eyes and it was sold like the Poison Mist. Sasaki told them it was only cola. He then revealed he visited The Great Muta earlier and Muta agreed to become DAMNATION’s pet! Dino’s team will now have to fight Muta, Sasaki & Endo at Sumo Hall!

KUDO continues to be in good form as he prepares for his DDT Extreme Title match on 3rd February. The champion Yuko Miyamoto hasn’t chosen a stipulation yet but KUDO wants it to be a Hardcore Match of some kind. Masahiro Takanashi said the purple belt will look good on him along with the white KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Title belts they already have. Takanashi also called out for any potential challengers to step forward whether they are from DDT, BASARA or even Tokyo Joshi Pro.

Today’s PowerPoint presentation by Super Sasadango Machine was titled “How to Finalize Declaration of Final Procedure and Taxation” with supervision provided by the match sponsor Professor Takahashi. Sasadango stressed that it is better for people to file a final tax return when they want a lot of refund money. To increase their refund, it is better to increase their expenses. So Sasadango bought some new items for the wrestlers in this match to use as weapons. Sasadango bought himself a 256GB iPhone X, Saki Akai a Goyard tote bag, Antonio Honda a vintage stuffed tiger doll and Tanomusaku Toba a bunch of Tenga Egg sex toys. Sasadango took selfies with Honda and the tiger. Akai attacked Toba with the tote bag. Sasadango and Honda then opened the contents of Toba’s egg and played with them until Honda called over to Professor Takahashi. Honda accused Takahashi of tax evasion and ordered Inoue Mic to arrest him! Mic pulled out handcuffs and followed Honda’s orders. Honda then accused Sasadango of tax evasion, Toba of taking drugs and Akai of stealing his heart. Toba said he may have taken drugs but he isn’t sure. Sasadango, Akai and Toba then joined forces to beat Toba with Sasadango getting the pin. The lesson of this match? For correct knowledge of tax returns please visit the Takahashi Tax Accounting Office.

Kota Umeda is getting back into the swing of things since returning from injury. He got the pin in the opening match.

In the dark match Nobuhiro Shimatani tried to get the upper hand by attacking Naomi Yoshimura from behind but he was beaten with a Lariat. Shimatani’s bad luck doesn’t end there. He found out afterwards that on the 6th February YaroZ show he will face Kohei Sato in a Kickboxing Match! On the bright side at least Shihomi Yoshino will be the ring girl.

In other YaroZ news, the DDT staff realised during the announcement that the card was one match short from being completed. In an unexpected move, Yumehito Imanari and DT-YUTA from the DDT Video team stood up and volunteered to wrestle against Sanshiro Takagi & Toru Owashi at the show. DT-YUTA was a Union Pro wrestler many years ago.

Lady Beard, Reika Saiki, Keisuke Okuda and Yoshiko are all scheduled to appear at Sumo Hall. Also coming to DDT this March is “All Ego” Ethan Page! DDT promoted Page as the next big Canadian star to enter the company. In a video message Page said he is ready to take over DDT.

7. D-King Grand Prix – Final: HARASHIMA Vs Shuji Ishikawa

We’ve had some time to rest but this weekend brings us the finale of the 2018 D-King Grand Prix. I think the tournament has been a success and the match quality has drawn in some new eyes to DDT this month so hopefully this will stick around as an annual tournament. Scheduling it after Wrestle Kingdom is mostly a good idea. The wrestling scene over in Japan calms down a little when that show is over so the space is there to put on a bunch of easy to watch straightforward shows. Maybe just don’t run three to four Korakuen Hall shows in a row beforehand. That was overkill and the attendance numbers showed. Anyway, let’s get to the final.

HARASHIMA and Shuji Ishikawa have known each other for a long time. They represent the same generation of DDT wrestlers and they’ve beaten each other to win the KO-D Openweight Championship. No matter how far they split off and drift apart, their paths will always meet again inside the DDT ring. Ishikawa’s goal for 2018 is to beat his 2017 accomplishments and winning the D-King is exactly what he needs to start that plan. HARASHIMA wants to avenge his losses to the champion Konosuke Takeshita but he is putting all of his attention into beating Ishikawa first. Ishikawa thinks that winning the tournament and then going on to win the championship at Sumo Hall will raise the value of the Grand Prix. He also thinks his extra experience from wrestling in other companies while HARASHIMA has stayed put inside the DDT walls is the difference maker between them. Ishikawa has the better record against HARASHIMA in singles matches. He has won 3 out of their 4 previous singles matches together. HARASHIMA won their last match back in December 2016. Plus he also beat him one time as HERO! way back in 2003, although he broke his foot during the match.

If Ishikawa wins he wants to invest the 1,900,000 yen of the 2,000,000 prize money in bitcoins because it is the fashionable thing to do now. The remaining 100,000 yen will be given to Daisuke Sasaki and Tetsuya Endo. HARASHIMA hasn’t thought about what he would do with the money but the amount on the line does excite him.

Gota Ihashi is now at a crossroads in his life. He has asked DDT and Ganbare☆Wrestling to be removed from their upcoming shows for the time being. The cause of this happened after the Riki Choshu produced “POWER HALL 2018” show two days ago. Ihashi wrestled in the main event teaming with Choshu and Kota Ibushi to beat Tatsumi Fujinami, TAKA Michinoku & Daisuke Sekimoto. That sounds like a great thing for Ihashi. But afterwards he read the show reports and found comments from Choshu saying that Ihashi should not be doing pro wrestling. This has led to a crisis in confidence for Ihashi and he is considering leaving the business. Ken Ohka wants to get Ihashi out of his depression and he thinks a match between them is just what Ihashi needs to prove Riki Choshu wrong. Ohka wonders why Choshu even put Ihashi in his main event if he didn’t know what to expect from him? (*cough*so he could book Ibushi*cough*) Ihashi Vs Ohka will happen but not until 3rd February due to Ohka’s busy schedule. Ihashi is not looking forward to it.

Because of Ihashi’s situation, his Ganpuro match against Yukihiro Abe has been called off. Abe will take on a new opponent to be announced.

A Block

1. HARASHIMA (8)
2. Konosuke Takeshita (7)

4. Keisuke Ishii (6)
-. Joey Ryan (6)
-. Jiro Kuroshio (6)
7. Masahiro Takanashi (2)

B Block

1. Shuji Ishikawa (8)
2. Kazusada Higuchi (6)

-. Daisuke Sasaki (6)
-. Soma Takao (6)
6. Akito (4)
-. Yukio Sakaguchi (4)

The final is now set. HARASHIMA Vs Shuji Ishikawa will face off to be the first D-King Grand Prix winner! The last match in Block A was the main event. HARASHIMA and Tetsuya Endo fought in a winner takes all bout. Endo missed the Shooting Star Press and HARASHIMA hit the Somato to win. In the last Block B match, Ishikawa had to fight off Kazusada Higuchi with all of his power. Ishikawa kicked out of the Doctor Bomb but needed more than the Fire Thunder to win. He had to bust out the Giant Slam to put Higuchi away.

The show ended with the two finalists facing off in the ring. Ishikawa said the Grand Prix was a fulfilling experience. He and HARASHIMA are from the same generation so it is kind of fitting that the final is down to them. HARASHIMA said everyone knows Ishikawa is strong. This match will be the heyday of their generation so let’s do their best.

The only threat to the top spot left in Block A was Keisuke Ishii but Konosuke Takeshita shut him down. Takeshita countered the Double Arm DDT into a Koji MAX Hold to make Ishii submit. Takeshita said his lack of ability is what prevented him from reaching the final. Ishii may have lost but he may have finally found the motivation that he’s been lacking for so long. Fighting a champion like Takeshita has fired him up and next time, he will beat Takeshita!

Daisuke Sasaki’s chance of reaching the final was dashed by Mike Bailey. Speedball was willing to put his grudge with DAMNATION aside but Sasaki rejected his handshake. Sasaki brought in chairs but Bailey kicked them into his face and pinned him with a Buzzsaw Kick. Sasaki didn’t take the loss well. He said the 2018 of Daisuke Sasaki was now over and everyone now has to wait for the 2019 of Daisuke Sasaki. The interviewer tried to tell him 2018 has only begun but Sasaki wouldn’t listen. Bailey called Sasaki a smart wrestler but he came prepared. Bailey was able to win because he thought over and over what Sasaki was going to do to him and planned around it.

The remaining group matches only had pride left on the line. Joey Ryan used an unconscious Daisuke Kiso to aid him in beating Masahiro Takanashi. Ryan placed Kiso’s limp body on top of Takanashi’s back, placed Kiso’s hand next to his crotch and used his dong strength to make Kiso give Takanashi the Yoshi Tonic. Joey then Super Kicked Takanashi for the three count. Takanashi promised that next year KUDO will enter the tournament to make up for his poor record.

Soma Takao used the newly renamed Official Endless Waltz as a counter to Yukio Sakaguchi’s Cross Armbreaker. Takao did okay in this tournament and he has another round robin tournament coming up in All Japan to look forward to. He hopes to do well over there too. Sakaguchi does not have an excuse for his overall performance other than he admits he is weak. He will write more about it on his blog so everybody better read it or else!

Producer Danshoku Dino changed the plans for the opening match. Instead of a 7 Way Match, it was now a one night tournament called the P-King Grand Prix featuring the other 6 wrestlers while he gets to be the referee. The Round 1 match ups were Kazuki Hirata Vs Mad Paulie, Akito Vs Antonio Honda and KUDO Vs Toru Owashi. The catch was all three matches took place at the same time and all held under two count rules. Paulie, Akito and KUDO all won at the same time. They advanced to the 3 Way Elimination Final that used 1 count rules. Paulie pinned Akito and KUDO pinned Paulie afterwards. Afterwards KUDO said he regrets not entering the D-King Grand Prix but he now found something else he wants. KUDO wants to challenge Yuko Miyamoto for the DDT Extreme Title! Dino granted his request.

MAO promises that the NωA will perform their best hits for their final match together on 28th January.

1. 3 Way 6-Man Tag Match: Makoto Oishi, Shunma Katsumata & MAO defeated Konosuke Takeshita, Antonio Honda & Kouki Iwasaki and Daisuke Sasaki, Mad Paulie & Nobuhiro Shimatani when Oishi pinned Shimatani with the Miracle Ecstasy (10:39).
2. D-King Grand Prix – B Block: Akito (4) defeated Yukio Sakaguchi (4) with the Rolling Jr. Olympic Hell Part I (9:35).
3. D-King Grand Prix – A Block: Joey Ryan (4) defeated Jiro Kuroshio (6) with the Super Kick (10:46).
4. D-King Grand Prix – B Block: Shuji Ishikawa (8) defeated Soma Takao (4) with the Splash Mountain (11:53).
5. D-King Grand Prix – A Block: HARASHIMA (6) defeated Masahiro Takanashi (2) with the Somato (11:41).
6. D-King Grand Prix – B Block: Kazusada Higuchi (6) defeated Mike Bailey (4) with the Doctor Bomb (14:11).
7. D-King Grand Prix – A Block: Keisuke Ishii (6) defeated Tetsuya Endo (7) with the Kneel Kick (17:39).

A Block

1. Tetsuya Endo (7)
2. Keisuke Ishii (6)
-. HARASHIMA (6)
-. Jiro Kuroshio (6)
5. Konosuke Takeshita (5)
6. Joey Ryan (4)
7. Masahiro Takanashi (2)

1. Shuji Ishikawa (8)
2. Daisuke Sasaki (6)
3. Kazusada Higuchi (6)
-. Mike Bailey (4)
-. Yukio Sakaguchi (4)
-. Soma Takao (4)
-. Akito (4)

The field is getting narrower as the D-King Grand Prix heads towards its final stretch. Tetsuya Endo still leads Block A but his loss to Keisuke Ishii today means he’s only just ahead by a point. Ishii avoided the Shooting Star Press and hit Endo with everything that he could. The Fisherman Buster, Exploder Suplex and Tiger Suplex didn’t work. Endo hit the Tetsuya In The Sky for a last gasp chance but Ishii kicked out. Finally the Kneel Kick from Ishii put Endo away. Ishii said the win means the possibility of becoming the Grand Prix champion is still there for him. He thinks if he beats Konosuke Takeshita tomorrow then he will qualify for the final. Endo needs to beat HARASHIMA to guarantee his spot in the final. A draw leaves his fate up to Ishii versus Takeshita. Endo thinks the only thing missing from his game right now is financial strength. DAMNATION already has cute and popular wrestlers, what they need now is money!

Over in Block B Kazusada Higuchi is still in the fight after beating Mike Bailey. The result could have been different because Bailey hit the Ultima Weapon but took too long to cover Higuchi. When Higuchi recovered he did the Doctor Bomb for the three count. Higuchu admitted he barely survived the match. He hit Bailey many times but it was still in intense battle. Now all that is left is Shuji Ishikawa. Higuchi must beat him to reach the final.

The third wrestler chasing for the top spot in Block A is HARASHIMA. He feels like his nerves are wearing him out but he kept his head clear enough to get past Masahiro Takanashi. HARASHIMA must beat Endo tomorrow and hope Ishii does not beat Takeshita. Takanashi is out of the tournament but he has so much respect for HARASHIMA he will beat Joey Ryan for him.

Ishikawa got back on track with a win over Soma Takao, surviving a surprise attack in the beginning. Ishikawa says his body is big and his mind is strong and motivated. His final opponent Higuchi is one of the few wrestlers in DDT who can match up to his power in a direct fight so he is ready for tomorrow’s collision.

Jiro Kuroshio’s final match in the tournament ended in a loss to Joey Ryan. He went for the Ikemen Clutch but Ryan stuck a lollipop into his mouth and Super Kicked him. He ends his run with 3 wins and 3 losses. Kuroshio is happy with how he did and he wants to appear more for DDT in the future. He said he found something he wants to do here.

Akito busted out the Rolling Olympic Hell I to destroy Yukio Sakaguchi’s chances of reaching the final. Akito thinks his entire performance wasn’t good but he still got a lot out of the Grand Prix. He hopes Takeshita ends up winning the tournament. Sakaguchi is worried that the damage his legs have taken throughout the tournament will prevent him from winning his last match tomorrow.

6. D-King Grand Prix – B Block: Daisuke Sasaki (6) defeated Shuji Ishikawa (6) with an Inverted Hurricanrana (16:19).

A Block

1. Tetsuya Endo (7)
2. Jiro Kuroshio (6)
3. Konosuke Takeshita (5)
4. Keisuke Ishii (4)
-. HARASHIMA (4)
6. Masahiro Takanashi (2)

7. Akito (2)

The main event was friend versus friend, Giant Vs Charisma, pet versus master, Shuji Ishikawa Vs Daisuke Sasaki. As much as it pained them to fight, they both had their battle plan. Sasaki started off begging for mercy then blindsided Ishikawa by throwing his t-shirt at him. Sasaki charged in but Ishikawa stopped him with a Knee Lift. Ishikawa yelled “Charisma, goodbye!” after every big move thinking it would finish him off. But Sasaki kept kicking out. Sasaki took out a bunch of chairs and smashed all of them over Ishikawa’s head. But Ishikawa got back up and Superplexed Sasaki onto the pile of chair remains. The end came when Ishikawa went for the Splash Mountain and Sasaki countered it into the Hurricanrana for the flash three count. Sasaki apologised to Ishikawa and invited him as well as Tetsuya Endo back into the ring. Sasaki said that today he became the strongest and best Charisma he’s ever been. He is only 168cm tall and weighs 80kg but he beat the best heavyweight in the tournament. Now he can win the D-King Grand Prix for sure. Ishikawa, Endo and Mad Paulie are strong too. They are DAMNATION and the pro wrestling world will revolve around them! Backstage Sasaki got to have some fun by making Ishikawa admit he is now stronger than him.

Konosuke Takeshita hit another bump in the road with an upset loss to Masahiro Takanashi. All was going well and he was ready to set up for a Brainbuster when Takanashi twisted himself free, clutched Takashita’s arm and cradled him into the Bacchus to get the pin. Takanashi was so surprised by winning the match he didn’t give a comment for the backstage interview afterwards. Takeshita meanwhile is coming to terms on whether or not he can still qualify for the final. It mostly rests on the upcoming results of other wrestlers in his group.

More surprise results came when Mike Bailey beat Yukio Sakaguchi in a kick heavy battle. Bailey dodged the Right Knee Of God while Sakaguchi avoided the Ultima Weapon. The two wore each other down with dueling kicks until Sakaguchi trapped Bailey in a Sleeper Hold. He tried to turn the move into the Cobra Clutch but Bailey freed himself and hit a Buzzsaw Kick followed by the standing Moonsault Double Knee Drop. Another Buzzsaw Kick brought the match to an end. Sakaguchi doesn’t understand how he lost. Why was he so weak but Bailey was so strong today? Something must be wrong. Bailey is full of praise for everyone in the Grand Prix but he is looking forward to when it ends. He points to the KO-D Openweight Champion not being undefeated as proof that this is a hard tournament.

Jiro Kuroshio is back in the race to the top of Block A with a win over Keisuke Ishii. It took two Moonsaults to put Ishii away and that’s not including a third Moonsault Kuroshio did earlier in the match for a nearfall. Ishii feels miserable over the result but does not deny the amazing talent Kuroshio has. Ishii now has Tetsuya Endo and Konosuke Takeshita as his final opponents.

Akito’s poor form continues when a back and forth contest with Soma Takao ended in defeat. The Hanamasa was countered into the Gin And Tonic for the finish. Takao was determined to win this and did not take his opponent lightly despite Akito’s record. Akito is already trying to deal with not making the final so another loss does not effect him mentally at this point. He has one more match left and it’s against Sakaguchi. Akito will treat Sakaguchi like a toy and break him with his play!

Endo is now the sole leader in Block A. His win over Joey Ryan has made him question his own worth again. If beating a wrestler from another promotion makes Endo worth 100 million yen annually then beating a big foreign star means he should now be paid 200 million yen a year! Ryan was so upset by the loss he wishes he could go back home to America. But he has two more matches left in his schedule so he will stick around for that.

Konosuke Takeshita and HARASHIMA headlined today’s show with their rematch from their Saitama Super Arena bout at “JUDGEMENT 2017”. HARASHIMA was ruthless in targeting Takeshita’s left knee. Takeshita was difficult to pin down though and he tried to avoid the Somato when he could. HARASHIMA did hit the move from behind a few times. But HARAHSIMA went for one more and Takeshita dodged it. Takeshita hit the German Suplex and added a Bridging Pin to the move afterwards to get the three count. And with that the Takeshita Special No. 1 is born! Takeshita commented that he feels like he is currently in a paradox. He is certain that his leg is injured, possibly a damaged ligament or a meniscus but the constant adrenaline rush he gets from the D-King Grand Prix makes him ignore the pain and keep going. HARASHIMA is unhappy with the result but if the referee counted to three, he has to accept it. He defended his tactics of targeting Takeshita’s knee. The referee never stopped him and the match continued so he feels it was right to keep attacking like that. The fact that Takeshita beat him with damaged knees means that Takeshita is growing stronger. But next time HARASHIMA believes he will grab the opportunity and definitely beat Takeshita!

The two leading wrestlers in Block B clashed for the top spot. Shuji Ishikawa survived Yukio Sakaguchi’s Right Knee Of God and the Cobra Clutch to win. Sakaguchi didn’t go down easily though. He kicked out of the Running Knee Lift at one so Ishikawa had to hit him with it again, this time Sakaguchi barely kicked out at two. Sakaguchi finally stayed down after the Splash Mountain. Ishikawa was happy to see Sakaguchi bring the fight to him. His opponents so far have all been wonderful so he feels honoured to have the six points he amassed so far. Next up is his good buddy Daisuke Sasaki. Ishikawa said he may have to become the new leader of DAMNATION if he beats Sasaki. Sakaguchi doesn’t know if he can redeem this loss but thinks he can win his remaining matches.

Tetsuya Endo continues his unbeaten run in Block A with a win over Jiro Kuroshio. He wasn’t happy to see Kuroshio prance around and seemed to have a chip on his shoulder for the entire match. Afterwards we found out why. According to Endo, Kuroshio’s annual income is 5 million yen. Since Endo beat him today that means his own annual salary should be raised. Endo is now demanding to be paid 100 million yen a year! Kuroshio said his eyes aren’t crazy and that Endo really is as great a wrestler as he looks.

Daisuke Sasaki came to his hometown as the “Hero Of Nerima” so he wanted to fight clean and fair against Soma Takao. Given their recent history, Takao didn’t believe him and went on the offensive pretty quickly. They fought outside where Sasaki grabbed Yuki Ueno nearby and threw him towards Takao. Takao stopped Ueno and knocked him out of the way with an Elbow Strike. Back in the ring Sasaki took off one of the turnbuckle pads and threw Takao into the exposed corner. Sasaki even used his own attempt at the Gin And Tonic but Takao kicked out at one. Sasaki then hit an Avalanche Pedigree but Takao kicked out of that too. Sasaki had to use the Vietnam Driver II to finally put Takao away. He offered Takao a handshake and a DAMNATION shirt after the match but Takao refused and threw the shirt away. Takao said backstage he is annoyed that Sasaki used the Gin And Tonic against him. He is also insulted by Sasaki offering him the handshake and DAMNATION shirt. Sasaki said that tens of thousands of Nerima’s residents came out to welcome the Hero Of Nerima. He only offered Takao the shirt to look good in front of the locals. When he was reminded that his next opponent is Shuji Ishikawa, he said three seconds is enough to beat his friend.

After spending his first few days asking for it, Joey Ryan finally got paper streamers thrown at him for his ring introduction today. Maybe that gave him a major boost in motivation because he went on to beat Keisuke Ishii to earn his first points. Ryan escaped the Tiger Suplex, stuck a lollipop into Ishii’s mouth and Super Kicked him for the win. Ryan celebrated by hugging the paper tape afterwards. Ishii said he didn’t expect his calculations to go so wrong but Ryan used “the most disgusting techniques” to beat him.

Kazusada Higuchi countered Akito’s Cross Armbreaker into a Sit Down Power Bomb to set up his victory. Higuchi isn’t satisfied by that though. He felt it should have taken him less than 5 minutes to beat Akito and he went 48 seconds over that limit. Akito meanwhile is coming to terms that he virtually cannot win the tournament now after his third loss. All he can offer now to close out his group run with some fun fights.
