BASARA “BASARA 271 ~HIEN~”, 21/02/2025
Shin-Kiba 1st RING
??? Fans – Unannounced
1. Isami Kodaka & Takato Nakano defeated Shuichiro Katsumura & Shota Kawakami when Kodaka submitted Kawakami with an STF (13:36).
2. Ayumu Honda defeated KUBITO with the Jumping Armbar (8:36).
3. Ayato Yoshida defeated Daiki Shimomura with the Revenge For Your Booing (13:13).
4. Ryota Nakatsu defeated Yuki Ishida with the V Slider (11:58).
5. Iron Fist Tag Team Titles: Ryuichi Sekine & FUMA defeated Fuminori Abe & Takuya Nomura (c) when Sekine submitted Abe with the Let’s Combine (17:57).
*Astronauts fail in V5. Ryuichi Sekine & FUMA become the 13th Iron Fist Tag Team Champions!
With Sento Minzoku now in the rear view, Ryuiche Sekine has found new success for himself by joining forces with FUMA to win the Iron Fist Tag Team Titles! The pair of wrestlers have bonded over both being farmers away from the wrestling ring as well as having similar backgrounds in karate. Fuminori Abe tried to break down Sekine with his submissions and limb work but found no help from his partner Takuya Nomura because FUMA had cut him off. FUMA took care of Nomura with an Exploder Suplex while Sekine wore down Abe with Low Roundhouse Kicks until he applied the Combine and Abe gave up.
Sekine thanked their opponents for the match and promised them he and FUMA will help grow the Iron Fist Tag Titles Astronauts had been nurturing so carefully. Sekine & FUMA then decided they will aim for 100 title defences together! Abe admitted defeat and compared Sekine’s Combine submission to Suwama’s Last Ride Power Bomb as the moves that hurt his back the worst. Nomura promised he will get stronger from tomorrow and will be back in BASARA soon.
Win, lose or draw Yuki Ishida was happy to wrestle Ryota Nakatsu in a match filled with the Harimao and Dosukoi spirit. The other members Kazusada Higuchi and Naomi Yoshimura were at the show too. Higuchi said he would like to wrestle in BASARA again after his return match in DDT happens. Nakatsu would like the whole unit to appear together in BASARA again.
Over the last few months Ayato Yoshida has been getting boos from fans over in 2AW. It carried over to BASARA today because the fans were booing him after every action he made in his match against Daiki Shimomura. Yoshida got the last laugh by winning the match with his Pump Kick finisher called the Revenge For Your Booing. He also called the fans drunks as he was leaving the ring.
Ayumu Honda also didn’t show good sportsmanship in his match with KUBITO. After Honda beat KUBITO with a Jumping Armbar, he held up KUBITO’s arm after the match only to jump him and attack the limb even more.

The week started off with good news regarding Yuki Ueno. His test results for hematuria showed no signs of abnormality so his doctor have given him permission to start wrestling again. Ueno’s return to the ring will be at Korakuen Hall.
In news that might be more exciting than it sounds Kaisei Takechi will be at the show as a guest commentator. He last wrestled in DDT back in October. Who knows, maybe he’ll get the itch to have a match again this year.

DDT “IT’S FINALLY HERE!! KAZUKI HIRATA 15TH ANNIVERSARY COMMEMORATIVE EVENT ~ TALK! 15 YEARS OF HIRATA GO!!”, 12/03/2025
Shinjuku FACE
1. Talk! 15 Years Of HIRATA GO!! Special 6-Man Tag Match: Kazuki Hirata, Keisuke Ishii & X Vs YO-HEY, Kenshin Chikano & Soma Takao
I wasn’t sure if Kazuki Hirata’s 15th Anniversary show was going to be a wrestling show or a special talk event. Looks like it is the former. The main event is Hirata in a 6-Man Tag Match with several wrestlers who are close to him and also a mystery partner. Keisuke Ishii, Soma Takao, YO-HEY and Kenshin Chikano have all spent a lot of time with Hirata in and out of the wrestling ring. Katsumi Tamagawa will also be involved as the referee for the bout.
Other wrestlers booked for the show include Shinya Aoki, Shigehiro Irie, Shota, Naruki Doi and Punch Tominaga.
DDT “JUDGEMENT 2025 ~28TH ANNIVERSARY 5 HOUR SPECIAL~”, 20/03/2025
Tokyo Korakuen Hall
1. Kazusada Higuchi Return Match: Kazusada Higuchi Vs X
2. KO-D Tag Team Titles: MAO & To-y (c) Vs Fuminori Abe & Takuya Nomura
3. DDT Universal Title: Yuki Ueno (c) Vs Minoru Suzuki
4. KO-D Openweight Title: Chris Brookes (c) Vs X
We still don’t know who Chris Brookes wants to defend the KO-D Openweight Title against at DDT’s 28th Anniversary show. The only information we know is Brookes has whittled his choices down to about five wrestlers. He still hasn’t said who is among them.
One of Japan’s strongest tag teams have come to challenge the KO-D Tag Team Champions. If there is any pair of wrestlers out there who can match the eccentric levels of MAO & To-y it’s the Astronauts/Fighting Detectives of Fuminori Abe & Takuya Nomura!
Coming to DDT this March is the Japan debut of “The Fire” JJ Furno! He is a high flying wrestler from Melbourne, Australia who was strongly recommended to DDT by Royce Chambers. Furno will be touring with DDT for eight shows starting on 20th March until 6th April.

DDT “NEPPA OVER FLOWERS 4 ~LOVE SO SAUNA~”, 14/02/2025
Shinjuku FACE
??? Fans – Unannounced
1. Big NeppoWER!!: Shinya Aoki defeated Keigo Nakamura with the Camel Clutch Full Nelson Hold (10:55).
2. 120℃ High Temperature Sauna Match: Sauna Oyakata & Sauna Kobun defeated Naya Tonttu & Kazuma Sumi when Kobun submitted Sumi with the O-Manjigatame (8:02).
3. Totonoi ALL OUT: Shin KONOSUKE TAKESHITA defeated Shin Shunma Katsumata and Akito when Shin TAKESHITA pinned Shin Katsumata with the Raging Fire (10:42).
4. Ueno Nordic Presents ~Yuki Ueno Löyly~: Takeshi Masada defeated Kuishinbo Kamen and Kikutaro when Masada pinned both Kamen and Kikutaro (11:23).
5. BZW Tag Team Title – NELJAS Presents ~MAO Löyly~: MAO & Yoshihiko (c) defeated Chris Brookes & Masahiro Takanashi when Yoshihiko pinned Takanashi after the Double Rainmaker (18:59).
*V2 for MAO & Yoshihiko.
6. SeaSaunaShack Presents ~To-y Löyly~: Shuji Kondo defeated To-y with the King Kong Lariat (19:20).

All four members of The 37KAMIINA gathered everyone over to Shinjuku FACE for a wrestling show that is supposed to spread the feeling you get being in a sauna. Only two members of the group were actually able to wrestle because of injuries and health scares for the other two. To-y was one of them, fighting against another sauna lover Shuji Kondo in the main event. To-y did his best and even landed the Kojima Wonderland but some well timed Lariats from Kondo put the match in his favour. Kondo received a free bathing ticket from the match sponser for winning the match. Kondo said he heard rumours about how good To-y is and he was impressed with him today. If this show happens again next year he would like to have a rematch. To-y said he had a dream where he fought Kondo and lost. He also lost the real match today. That means the next time they fight will be the third match and it will be third time’s the charm for To-y to beat Kondo!

The BZW Tag Team Titles were defended in Japan for a second time when MAO & Yoshihiko put them on the line against a determined CDK. The tag champs were put in mortal danger when Chris Brookes choked both of them with the rubber strap and hung both of them from the ropes over the ring apron. He also did the stretch band attack with Yoshihiko still attached, launching the doll into MAO. But Yoshihiko landed on Brookes with a dive and gave Masahiro Takanashi a Canadian Destroyer. Takanashi kicked out of the Somato so MAO & Yoshihiko combined their powers to give him the Double Rainmaker for the victory. MAO said the team is ready to defend the belts in BZW again and will be going to Belgium next motnh. He heard BZW is running a show in Las Vegas during WrestleMania week so he & Yoshihiko can be there too. Takanashi was disappointed he didn’t win the title because he wants to go to France. That made Brookes wonder wouldn’t it be better if they won the titles in France instead of Japan?

It is in the bucket list of every Osaka wrestler to take part in a Kuishinbo Kamen Vs Kikutaro match with Yukinori Matsui as the referee. Sadly for Takeshi Masada none of them wanted him to be part of it. Whenever he tried to take part in their spots they either ignored him or shoved him aside. Masada had to fight them properly but ended up getting a DDT from Matsui. That caused Kamen and Kikutaro to figure out it is much more fun to fight Matsui so they attacked him. Matsui fought them off, knocked them down with a Double Lariat and gave Masada a Facebuster on top of them. Masada was left on top of the pile so Matsui counted the pin, making Matsui the winner.

Plans for an ALL OUT reunion fell apart for one reason or another but a Konosuke Takeshita did show up as advertised. Shin Konosuke Takeshita made a grand entrance along with Shin Don Callis, ready to take part in a 3 Way Match against Shin Shunma Katsumata (who looks an awful lot like Yuni) and Akito (who actually really was just Akito). Callis disappeared midway through the match which is exactly when Shin Yuki Iino did a run in spot. He stayed around to help Shin Takeshita pull off her big moves like the German Suplex and the Raging Fire.

A bunch of people booked for Match #2 pulled out of the show for various reasons. Danshoku Dieno was busy minding his pet dog Haku and didn’t want to leave him, Fuminori Abe needed to exorcise his demons at a waterfall and Yukio Naya was recently banned from saunas for having bad manners. So Kazuma Sumi was put in the ring with the sauna fairy Naya Tonttu to fight Sauna Oyakata (Dieno) & Sauna Kobun (Abe). However Tonttu felt the room was too cold so he abandoned Sumi early in the match. He eventually returned when Sumi called for his help it was not enough for them to win the match.

Shinya Aoki put Keigo Nakamura to the test with a challenging singles match. Nakamura got some moments by moving Aoki from a European Clutch into a Gedo Clutch but once he tried to target Aoki’s foot, Aoki reversed course and worked over Nakamura’s leg. Nakamura then put him in the Full Nelson and repositioned it into a Camel Clutch to make Nakamura submit.

At the end of the show MAO encouraged To-y by telling him they will continue to defend the KO-D Tag Team Titles as many times as they can. He called for any team to come out and challenge them. Suddenly Fuminori Abe & Takuya Nomura walked down to the ring. MAO thought they were hear to challenge him & Yoshihiko for the BZW Tag Titles. Nope, Astronauts are answering the call for a KO-D Tag Titles match! Abe also revealed that there is only one Toy in wrestling who they answer to and it is Yuki Ishikawa (because his real first name is Toyohiko). MAO wants to be in top condition for the match so everyone agreed it will take place at DDT’s 28th Anniversary show on 20th March.

Also at the end of the show Shunma Katsumata had an announcement to make. MAO kept guessing it was Katsumata’s retirement. Thankfully it is not. Katsumata will be returning to the ring on 20th March! He’s been out of action since November with a torn ACL in his left knee.

At the start of the show Yuki Ueno greeted the audience and told them he is currently feeling fine. He is unable to wrestle this weekend after being examined for hematuria symptoms.

BASARA “BASARA 265 ~UTAGE~”, 29/12/2024
Shin-Kiba 1st RING
??? Fans – Unannounced
1. Tsutomu Oosugi & Banana Senga defeated SAGAT & Antonio Honda when Senga pinned SAGAT after the Shining Gongitsune Mistaken Attack from Honda (8:07).
2. Takumi Tsukamoto defeated Gouma Ryu with a Front High Kick (9:10).
3. Takato Nakano & Shota Kawakami defeated Ryota Nakatsu & Takeru Inoue when Nakano pinned Inoue with the Ken Katabami (13:15).
4. Isami Kodaka, Ryuichi Sekine & Daiki Shimomuta defeated FUMA, KUBITO & Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi when Sekine submitted FUMA with the Let’s Combine (13:38).
5. Iron Fist Tag Team Titles: Fuminori Abe & Takuya Nomura (c) defeated Daichi Kazato & Lil’ Kraken when Abe pinned Kazato after the Period. Misfire from Kraken (13:32).
*V4 for Astronauts.
6. Union MAX Title: Masato Kamino defeated Minoru Fujita (c) with the Lariat (18:32).
*Minoru Fujita fails in V8. Masato Kamino becomes the 22nd Union MAX Champion!
BASARA in 2024 began with Minoru Fujita winning the Union MAX Title and ends with him losing it. Masato Kamino was able to kick out after taking the SAYONARA twice and hit the Lariat only for Fujita to kick out of that too. Kamino fought hard to hit another Lariat and when he finally did he was able to win the match with it. He wished Fujita to rest well for the great job he did as champion and thanked the fans for supporting BASARA this year. Ten years ago in Chiba he never imagined he would ever win a singles championship and now he is the man on top for a company. He will treat the belt like it is a baton Fujita passed over to him and will not give it up easily. He then nominated his tag partner Takato Nakano to be his first challenger.
Some miscommunication at the worst time cost Daichi Kazato & Lil’ Kraken their chance to become the new Iron Fist Tag Team Champions. Kazato was switching positions back and forth with Fuminori Abe and they paused in front of Lil’ Kraken. Abe was in front so Kraken charged in to use his finisher called the Period. Abe ducked the move and Kazato took the blow, causing both of them to fall back with Abe landing on top for the pinfall. At least there is no anger between Kazato & Kraken over what happened. Abe thinks Kazato has evolved as a wrestler while Takuya Nomura thinks he is brainwashing everyone. Astronauts also noticed there were some foreign fans in attendance today. Abe wonders what those fans think BASARA wrestling is like compared to what they will see in the Tokyo Dome next week?
The match between Sento Minzoku and Asian Kung-Fu Generation was heated from the get go and continued after the match ended. Both sides continued fighting after the finish and had to be kept apart.
There was also continued fighting between Takeru Inoue and Shota Kawakami after Match #3. Both are rookies who debuted this year and wanted to see who was better. They started trading Elbow Strikes after the match and Inoue then chased Kawakami away from ringside.
Takumi Tsukamoto purposely dressed up like an office worker to throw shade at Gouma Ryu. He said before their match that Ryu is only good for doing trials. Ryu disagreed and wanted to prove he can wrestle too. Then when Tsukamoto took a breather outside the ring during the match Ryu taunted him for running away from pro wrestling. Tsukamoto got back in to finish the match and ended up winning with a couple of Front High Kicks. Ryu kicked out of the first one at the one count but was beaten with the second kick.

BASARA “BASARA 260 ~KOO~”, 30/10/2024
Shin-Kiba 1st RING
??? Fans – Unannounced
1. Isami Kodaka & Ryuichi Sekine defeated Daiki Shimomura & Minoru Fujita when Kodaka pinned Shimomura with a Vertical Drop Brainbuster (12:17).
2. Daichi Kazato defeated Gouma Ryu by forfeit when Ryu injured himself from doing an Argentine Backbreaker (7:21).
3. KUBITO & SAGAT defeated Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi & Yasu Urano by Knockout when SAGAT knocked out Hiroshi & Urano (12:10).
4. Daisuke Sekimoto defeated Masato Kamino with the Big Bang Catastrophe (13:33).
5. Takato Nakano, Lil’ Kraken & Takeru Inoue defeated Takumi Tsukamoto, FUMA & Ryota Nakatsu when Nakani pinned Nakatsu with a Cradle (14:47).
6. Iron Fist Tag Team Titles: Fuminori Abe & Takuya Nomura (c) defeated Tsutomu Oosugi & Banana Senga when Abe submitted Oosugi with a Modified Figure 4 Leg Lock (17:14).
*V3 for Astronauts.
It’s been almost a year and a half since the last time a BASARA show in Shin-Kiba 1st RING was held under the “KOO” branding. That meant it was not an all you can drink kind of show that you would get with the “UTAGE” events. Astronauts were confident the fans would still have fun watching them fight Speed Of Sounds for the Iron Fist Tag Team Titles. After winning the match, Fuminori Abe suggested the next opponents could include somebody like Daichi Kazato or Yasu Urano because Takuya Nomura has never gotten a chance to fight either of them.
Match #3 featured so many tags and partners running in that the teams ended up getting mixed up and everyone lost track of who they were meant to fight. It ended up with Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi & Yasu Urano knocking each other out, making KUBITO & SAGAT the winners.
Daichi Kazato and Gouma Ryu wrestled each other both knowing they are evenly matched. So they believed they could fight forever to make each other stronger. Ryu soon got the upper hand and got over confident. He lifted up Kazato into the Argentine Backbreaker but that caused his back to go out so he had to give up while still doing the move.
All of Sento Minzoku were reunited with the return of Daiki Shimomura from his year long suspension from BASARA and absence from pro wrestling in general. He lost the match but told the fans starting today he will do his best for BASARA again.

While I’m writing this Fuminori Abe & Takuya Nomura are busy holding their second Kakuto Tanteidan show. But this day next week Astronauts will be back in BASARA to defend the Iron Fist Tag Team Titles against Speed Of Sounds. The challengers SOS are fighting to become three time Iron Fist Tag Champions.
Masato Kamino wants to change his focus from tag team wrestling to the singles division. He’s getting a big opponent from Big Japan, the one and only Daisuke Sekimoto!
DDT “CHARISMANIA”, 06/11/2024
Shinjuku FACE
1. Demus, Ilusion & Anarko Montaña Vs Kaito Ishida, Shunma Katsumata & Diego
2. Ram Kaichow, Endo Kaichow & Kodara Kaichow Vs Brahman Shu, Brahman Masa & Brahman Keigo
3. Ryuichi “Fire” Kawakami & MJ Paul Vs Masashi Takeda & Daichi Sato
4. Special Single Match: KANON Vs Shigehiro Irie
5. KUBITO & Naohiro Katsumi 19th Anniversary Match: KUBITO Vs Naohiro Katsumi
6. The Greatest Wrestling Match Of CHARISMANIA: Daisuke Sasaki & Yuko Miyamoto Vs Dick Togo & Minoru Fujita
More matches from the mind of Daisuke Sasaki are becoming a reality. FIRE DAMNATION will be represented with the return of Ryuichi “Fire” Kawakami to team with MJ Paul. One of their opponents is Daichi Sato, the teenager from HEAT-UP who was also on the short lived DDTeeeen!! shows a couple of years ago. That doesn’t sound threatening at all but Masashi Takeda as Sato’s partner will give that team a fighting chance against the heavyweights.
A battle will break out between Ram Kaichow and Brahman Shu! They have gone forth to gather soldiers under their respective banners and those soldiers may end up looking familiar to everyone in the venue.
Last but not least is an international 6-Man Tag Match where Demus & Ilusion are joined by Anarko Montaña on the DAMNATION T.A side. Facing them is the babyface trio of Kaito Ishida, Shunma Katsumata & Diego.

The first is on 16th November but the big match on her calender is happening a week later. She is the latest challenger for Yuki Arai to defend the International Princess Title against. The Australian has appeared in TJPW before but that was for the joint show with Prestige in America last year.
DDT “GET ALIVE 2024”, 23/11/2024
Tokyo Korakuen Hall
1. Akito 15th Anniversary Debut Special Single Match: Isami Kodaka Vs Akito
2. DDT Extreme Title & Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title: Danshoku Dieno (c/c) Vs Yuni
Akito wanted a special opponent for a match that will celebrate the 15th Anniversary of his debut. When Akito wrestled as a freelancer in Tokyo, Isami Kodaka became a close companion of his. They worked, drank and studied wrestling together. Kodaka was also a big influence for the kind of pro wrestler Akito developed into. Akito credits Kodaka for helping him create the IPPON Lighttube Death Match. However they rarely have the chance to wrestle each other because they are so busy with their jobs in DDT and BASARA respectively. So for Akito’s 15th Anniversary he wants to finally get in the ring with Kodaka again so they can reminisce about old memories while also fighting with the passion from those times.

Shin-Kiba 1st RING
??? Fans – Unannounced
1. Takato Nakano & Banana Senga defeated KUBITO & Lil’ Kraken when Senga pinned Kaken with a Jumping Spinning Cradle (11:10).
2. SAGAT, Takeru Inoue & Judomaster defeated Gouma Ryu, Minoru Fujita & Yasu Urano when Judomaster pinned Ryu with the Osotogari (12:25).
3. Isami Kodaka defeated Tsutomu Oosugi wwith a Vertical Drop Brainbuster (11:32).
4. Ayato Yoshida defeated Daichi Kazato with an Oklahoma Roll (14:39).
5. Iron Fist Tag Team Titles: Fuminori Abe & Takuya Nomura (c) defeated Ryuichi Sekine & Ryota Nakatsu when Abe submitted Sekine with the O-Manjigatame (14:24).
*V2 for Astronauts.
Astronauts are among the wrestlers who are happy to see BASARA increasing its schedule because it means they get to have even more fun matches like the one they had today against Cavalry. They retained the Iron Fist Tag Team Titles and told Cavalry to get stronger so they can fight each other again and again. The finish to the match went awry because Fuminori Abe put Ryuichi Sekine in the Manjigatame and the bell rang prematurely. The match continued and Sekine gave up anyway. Both Abe & Takuya Nomura are confident they can defend the tag titles forever until they die. They also describe the matches they want to do should be like good snacks for everyone to enjoy with their drinks. Ryota Nakatsu likes the sound of that because the show ended too late for him to catch his last train home so he’s going to spend the rest of the night drinking instead.
Two days ago Ayato Yoshida won the 2AW Openweight Title over in his home promotion. When his match against Daichi Kazato began Kazato congratulated him on the achievement. The match ended with Kazato missing the Firebird Splash and Yoshida used an Oklahoma Roll to pin him.
At the start of the show Gouma Ryu complained about having gout in his foot. All of the other wrestlers in the match he was booked for except for Takeru Inoue stepped on his foot to see if he was telling the truth but that only made his injury worse. Ryu was able to wrestle in the match despite that but lost after taking an Osotogari throw from Judomaster.

Place Of Unknown Origin: MJ Paul, Ilusion
It wasn’t possible for DDT to bring Shunma Katsumata and Kohei Kinoshita together to sign the contract for their DDT Extreme Title match so a remote press conference was held for them yesterday. Katsumata decided the rules for the match is they will score a point for every second they pin their opponent for. The first wrestler to reach 37 points in total will be the winner and champion. The reason why Katsumata chose 37 as the target number is because 37 means “sauna” and he heard Kinoshita also likes saunas.
Kinoshita said he wanted to wrestle in DDT for years but it was always difficult to get bookings because he lives in Kansai. He is excited to wrestle for a title and will use this match as a chance to expand his horizons. Katsumata had wanted to do a singles match with him ever since they fought each other in a 6-Man Tag at Yukinori Matsui’s produce show back in May. He is even happier the match gets to happen in Osaka. Even though the contract signing was done electronically, the two still found a way to almost start a brawl by arguing with each other over who is going to win.
BAKA GAIJIN + FRIENDS “FUCKED UP FEST”, 24/08/2024
Tokyo Nakano Moonstep
1. Special Tag Team Match: Masahiro Takanashi & Chie Koishikawa Vs Thanomsak Toba & Sayaka
2. International 4 Way Dance: Shivam Vs Dr. Gore Vs Monomoth Vs Jake De Leon
3. Triple Threat Match: Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi Vs Antonio Honda Vs Yasu Urano
4. Special Single Match: Maya Yukihi Vs Ram Kaichow
The first few matches for “FUCKED UP FEST” have been revealed. Maya Yukihi and Ram Kaichow are being paired off against each other. Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi and Yasu Urano come to Baka Gaijin + Friends for the first time. An international 4 Way invites Shivam, Dr. Gore, Monomoth and Jake De Leon all to Japan. Also Chie Koishikawa, Thanomsak Toba and Sayaka all return to the Baka Gaijin mat.
The event is supposed to be an all day thing and so far Masahiro Takanashi is the only regular to have a match announced. A lot of the other regulars haven’t been mentioned yet so expect a lot more matches to be added soon.
DDT “MEMORIES OF SUMMER VACATION 2024”, 25/08/2024
Tokyo Korakuen Hall
1. Soma Takao 15th Anniversary ~ Special Single Match: Soma Takao Vs Keisuke Ishii
2. Special 6-Man Tag Match: Kota Ibushi, Danshoku Dieno & Akito Vs Tetsuya Endo, Yuki Iino & Yuya Koroku
3. KO-D Openweight Title: Yuki Ueno (c) Vs Shinya Aoki
Seven years after his last match with the company Kota Ibushi is finally going to wrestle in DDT again! His return match is being purposely put together too because one of his opponents is Tetsuya Endo. When Ibushi left DDT, Endo was one of the wrestlers he entrusted the future of the promotion to. Ibushi wants to prove to everyone he is in much better form than his NOAH match at the start of the year. He had a five minute exhibition at GLEAT recently where he looked alright but still nowhere near the image of Ibushi that we all know and love. I’d say if he’s reduced to just being the hot tag for the match he won’t embarrass himself. Heck if he just wants to goof around Korakuen Hall and fight up in the balcony again for old time’s sake that won’t be bad either. Unless his teases of going over the barrier get taken too far…
BASARA “BASARA 256 ~SOUEN~”, 27/08/2024
Shin-Kiba 1st RING
1. Iron Fist Tag Team Titles: Fuminori Abe & Takuya Nomura (c) Vs Ryuichi Sekine & Ryota Nakatsu
The “SOUEN” events are supposedly going to be the same kind of shows BASARA were already doing at Shin-Kiba 1st RING before they increased the schedule. The first match announced definitely goes into the promotion’s history because Ryuichi Sekine & Ryota Nakatsu are reuniting as Cavalry to challenge Astronauts for the Iron Fist Tag Team Titles. Cavalry was one of the first new teams established in BASARA during the brand’s debut year back in 2016. It lasted until 2018 when Nakatsu won the Union MAX Title and Sekine felt it was time for them to split up so he could challenge him for the belt. It’s only fitting that another championship is what gets them to reunite six years later.

BASARA “BASARA 254 ~ICHIMIDOUSHIN~”, 04/08/2024
Tokyo Korakuen Hall
??? Fans – Unannounced
1. Takeru Inoue Debut Match: Isami Kodaka defeated Takeru Inoue with a Brainbuster (9:10).
2. 3 Way Tag Match: Takato Nakano & Masato Kamino defeated Daichi Kazato & Lil’ Kraken and Tsutomu Oosugi & Banana Senga when Kamino pinned Kraken with the Lariat (9:56).
3. Ryuichi Sekine, Takumi Tsukamoto & Ryota Nakatsu defeated FUMA, Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi & SAGAT when Sekine submitted SAGAT with the Let’s Combine (9:56).
4. Special Single Match: Isami Kodaka defeated Yuki Ishikawa with a Vertical Drop Brainbuster (10:10).
5. Iron Fist Tag Team Titles: Fuminori Abe & Takuya Nomura (c) defeated KUBITO & Daisuke Sasaki when Abe submitted KUBITO with a Sleeper Hold (16:20).
*V1 for Astronauts.
6. Union MAX Title: Minoru Fujita (c) defeated Yasu Urano with the BONEYARD (20:53).
*V6 for Minoru Fujita.
Minoru Fujita has now tied the record amount of Union MAX Title defences with six wins in this reign. He defeated Yasu Urano by dropping him with the Tombstone Piledriver and then making him submit to the Reverse Viper Hold, or BONEYARD as he likes to call it. With no clear challengers on the horizon Fujita called for a reset and will accept the challenge of anyone who comes forward. He told the fans how much he appreiciates the view because two years ago he came close to dying. He sees there is potential for growth in BASARA and he wants everyone in the promotion to reach that potential together.
Two proteges of Dick Togo challenged Astronauts for the Iron Fist Tag Team Titles but could not find a way to take the belts away from them. Takuya Nomura got rid of Daisuke Sasaki with a German Suplex and Fuminori Abe submitted KUBITO with a Sleeper Hold. After the match Abe and Sasaki had to be separated from each other. Then Ryuichi Sekine & Ryota Nakatsu entered the ring and declared themselves the next challengers for the tag titles. It’s a Cavalry reunion and the match will happen on 27th August!
It was a busy day for Isami Kodaka because he wrestled twice on the show. The match he had late in the card was against Yuki Ishikawa as part of Ishikawa’s road to retirement. Kodaka came out on top and Ishikawa praised him for having more than enough energy to wrestle twice. Ishikawa said he became the wrestler he is today thanks to Kodaka. He enjoyed wrestling him today and it makes him want to enjoy his remaining matches until his retirement on 12th August.
Kodaka’s other match on the show was against the debuting rookie Takeru Inoue. The newcomer fell to a Brainbuster but Kodaka was pleased with his performance. Since Inoue is BASARA’s first trained wrestler in over four years, Kodaka says he wants to nurture him carefully. Inoue said he joined BASARA because he admires Kodaka and his goal is to surpass him as the most unique wrestler. He also revealed his sports history is six years of volleyball and he spent a year training at the HEAT UP dojo.
