The 37KAMIINA are putting some wacky ideas together for their own show. The main event will feature the four unit members in Japan but the match type is currently unknown. It may be a tag match, it may be a 4 Way or it may be something else entirely. Maybe Sakura Hirota can do her Konosuke Takeshita cosplay again. Each member of the unit is putting together their own match too. Yuki Ueno wants to fight Gorgeous Matsuno, Toi Kojima puts himself to the test against Yasu Urano and the ShunMao tag team invited MEN’s Teioh to officiate a 4 Way Tag match that wouldn’t look out of place at a MEN’S Club promoted event.

When Kai comes over to Japan she has an International Princess Title shot against Miu Watanabe waiting for her. Her TJPW debut is happening a week earlier on 11th February.

If he can get Akiyama to laugh three times he will win the match. Akiyama on the other hand needs to beat Honda by pinfall or submission three times in order to successfully defend the DDT Extreme Title.

If Daisuke Sasaki ends his self-imposed exile and shows up he will be booked for a match. The undercard will be changed around as a result.

Sasaki has gone missing because Naruki Doi won the DDT Universal Title from Yuki Ueno instead of him. KANON stepped forward as the first challenger expecting his leader to be the new champion. He committed to challenge Doi anyway because he now thinks winning the title from him will cheer Sasaki up and bring him out of hiding.

Kotaro Suzuki, Kip Sabian, Penelope Ford and Shinya Ishida will all be on the show.

8. DDT Universal Title – Survival 3 Way Match: Yuki Ueno (c) Vs Naruki Doi Vs Daisuke Sasaki

The three wrestlers taking part in the DDT Universal Title match all met for a press conference held yesterday. Naruki Doi said he is ready to continue his fight with Daisuke Sasaki after the two went to a 30 minute draw over a week ago. He expects to settle his score with Sasaki first, then beat Yuki Ueno to win the title. Sasaki (who was drinking) said the match does not need Ueno and he accused him of devaluing the Universal Title after Ueno lost to Kazusada Higuchi at “NEVER MIND 2022”. Sasaki thinks it is now up to him and Doi to make the belt be worth more than the KO-D Openweight Title. Ueno calmly ignored Sasaki’s insults and spoke about his upcoming plans with the title. After he defends it tomorrow, he will put the belt on the line against Samuray Del Sol on 21st March and then he will bring it with him to America. It is his dream to defend the Universal Title in the USA so everything from here on out will be a journey towards that destination.

Before tomorrow’s show begins there will be a contract signing for both the DDT Extreme Title Match for 21st January and the KO-D Tag Team Titles Match for 29th January.

6. “Futari wa Princess” Max Heart Tournament – Round 1B: Saki Akai & Yuki Arai Vs Yuki Aino & Raku

The Max Heart Tournament begins and I have to rewrite the tournament layout because 121000000 Vs Free WiFi is put down as part of the 2nd Round even though it will be both team’s first match.

Wakana Uehara gets her wish and will face Shoko Nakajima. The way it plays out in her head is it will be a high flying battle in the skies. It’s probably not going to turn out that way.

BASARA “BASARA 208 ~HATAAGE ANNIVERSARY~”, 21/01/2023

The last few months of 2022 saw a bit of a career revival for Yasu Urano thanks to successes in both BASARA and JUST TAP OUT. It’s up to Isami Kodaka to make sure the freelancer does not spoil BASARA’s 7th anniversary by defending the Union MAX Title against him.

Fuminori Abe will have his first match in BASARA since going freelance on this show.

Higuchi and Yuji Hino return to the venue where their 30 minute draw took place. The 6-Man Tag here will be their last meeting before the KO-D Title bout on the 29th.

If Shinichiro Kawamatsu wrestles in a suit does that mean he wears one in the sauna too? That is my first thought after finding out he will team with The 37KAMIINA.

2. Young Ganbare Cup: Yuki Kanzaki (0) Vs Munetatsu Nakamura (0)
3. Yuna Manase Vs Yoshiko Hasegawa
4. Mizuki Watase & Tyson Maeguchi Vs Ken Ohka & Thanomsak Toba

What a start to the year Mizuki Watase and Tyson Maeguchi had. The two had a great match for the Spirit Of Ganbare Title and now they are teaming up together for a clash against Ken Ohka & Thanomsak Toba.

Yuna Manase versus Yoshiko Hasegawa is a first time singles match between the two.

Over in the Young Ganbare Cup either Yumehito Imanari or Kentaro Hachisu can get one win closer to winning the tournament outright if one can beat the other. Meanwhile when Yuki Kanzaki and Munetatsu Nakamura face each other one of them can get their first win in Ganbare☆Pro.

2. Special 6-Man Tag Match: Shuichiro Katsumura, Tsuyoshi Okada & Tyson Maeguchi Vs HARASHIMA, Mizuki Watase & Keisuke Ishii

Shuichiro Katsumura is keeping himself busy for his show during the tripleshot. Not only is he doing the main event but he is running the gauntlet by taking part in three grappling rules bouts with no striking allowed. Each bout will have a five minute time limit and victory can be achieved by submission or referee stoppage. If a bout goes to a time limit draw then whoever made the least rope breaks will win. If both wrestlers have the same amount then it will remain a tie.

The Ganbare☆Joshi division is rebooting this year. Details for what it entails are still to come but for now the women will continue doing their best. It’s going to be an Endless Waltz battle between Kotaro Suzuki and Soma Takao. Suzuki is the person who came up with the name Endless Waltz for the constant Las Magistral Cradles he likes to do. He got the name from a Gundam movie.

The show is happening on Takagi’s birthday. He will have already announced who his tag partner is going to be by the time the show takes place.

The supposed one day Katsumata has to join Pheromones is taking place on this day. Pheromones claim he is their “pet” for one month though.

The previous match had a total of 182 chops thrown between the two and still ended without a winner. Admittedly, Hino demanded the match more because he wants to fight Higuchi again rather than because of a desire to win the KO-D Title for a second time.

BURNING defends their newly won KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles against Pheromones. Kotaro Suzuki was told when you come to DDT, a confrontation against Pheromones is inevitable. Tetsuya Endo & Yusuke Okada are already trying to get into their opponent’s heads by telling them what they do is not sexy at all. Koju Takeda will be the wild card because he is the third man on the Pheromones side instead of Yumehito Imanari.

Shinya Aoki, Naruki Doi and Hikaru Machida will all be on the show.

DDT “HAMAMATSU TRAIN PRO WRESTLING”, 19/02/2023

DDT will be wrestling on a moving train again! A train filled with 47 passengers will depart from Mikkabi Station and travel along the Tenryu Hamanako Railway while wrestlers fight each other inside it. Hiroshi Yamato is the first wrestler to put his name into the hat.

The rest of the month is going to give Kazusada Higuchi and Yuki Ueno plenty of matches against each other to prepare for the KO-D Openweight Title bout on 29th December. Harimao, The 37KAMIINA and a few others are getting pulled into the action too.

Saki Akai has a warm up match against her opponents for Tokyo Dome City Hall as well. Saori Anou & Riko Kawahata are coming over early for a tag match, except here Akai is teaming with Yoshiko Hasegawa from Ganbare☆Pro instead of Yuki Arai.

It was eight years ago when Anarko Montaña was last in DDT. The masked wrestler from Chile was brought over by his friend Guanchulo/Diego back then but that was his only appearance for DDT. He is coming back next week for a tryout match with Shunma Katsumata. A good performance here and he may get to stick around.

The vacant KO-D Tag Team Titles will soon find its new champions. The teams competing for the belts on 3rd January will be revealed on this show. There will also be an announcement naming the wrestlers in the running for a future DDT Universal Title shot.

DDT “HATSUYUME 2023”, 03/01/2023
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. DDT Universal Title Next Challenger Decision Battle: X Vs X
2. KO-D Tag Team Titles: X & X Vs X & X

DDT have laid out their schedule of championship matches taking place throughout the Spring. 2023 starts off with the vacated KO-D Tag Titles being brought back along with the No. 1 Contender for the Universal Title being determined.

DDT “SWEET DREAMS! 2023 TOUR IN SHINJUKU ~FIRE!~”, 13/01/2023
Shinjuku FACE

1. DDT Universal Title: Yuki Ueno (c) Vs Winner Of 3/1 Decision Match

Ueno’s plan if he becomes a double champion is to defend both the KO-D Title and Universal Title once a month in separate matches for as long as his body can take it. He also wants to take the Universal Title overseas. That plan can be done without the need for the KO-D Title but Ueno is determined to do everything he can to become the unquestionable face of DDT.

DDT “SWEET DREAMS! 2023 TOUR IN YOKOHAMA”, 21/01/2023
Yokohama Radiant Hall

1. DDT Extreme Title: Jun Akiyama (c) Vs X

Either Jun Akiyama or Super Sasadango Machine won’t have to wait long until the next DDT Extreme Title defence.

DDT “SWEET DREAMS! 2023”, 29/01/2023
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles: Naruki Doi, Toru Owashi & Kazuki Hirata (c) Vs X, X & X
2. KO-D Tag Team Titles: X & X (c) Vs X & X
3. KO-D Openweight Title: Kazusada Higuchi (c) Vs X

The first KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles defence of 2023 will have either Naruki Doi & DISASTER BOX as the defending champions or maybe it will be BURNING with Kotaro Suzuki instead.

DDT “FRIENDSHIP, EFFORT, VICTORY IN NAGOYA 2023”, 18/02/2023
Aichi Nagoya International Conference Center Event Hall

1. DDT Extreme Title: Jun Akiyama (c) Vs X
2. DDT Universal Title: Yuki Ueno (c) Vs X

Nagoya is getting two title matches.

DDT “INTO THE FIGHT 2023”, 26/02/2023
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles: Naruki Doi, Toru Owashi & Kazuki Hirata (c) Vs X, X & X
2. KO-D Tag Team Titles: X & X (c) Vs X & X

DDT spent February 2022 building them month around the Ultimate Tag League. That doesn’t seem to be the case for 2023. The 2021 league took place in May and it’s only a young tournament. It hasn’t established its annual schedule yet.

DDT “JUDGEMENT 2023 ~LONGEST 5 HOUR SPECIAL IN KORAKUEN HISTORY~”, 21/03/2023
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. KO-D Openweight Title: Kazusada Higuchi (c) Vs X

DDT’s 26th anniversary show is taking place in Korakuen Hall and the goal is for it to be 5 hours long. Around 14 or 15 matches is the expected amount being planned for the event.

There will be other championship matches happening on this show. Which ones are yet to be determined. But if there is any company that can fill a 15 match card in this day and age with nothing but championship matches it’s DDT. I’m sure they still have the Umemura Personal Computer Copy & Paste Title lying around in their office somewhere.

GANBARE☆PRO “TOKIMEKI NISHISU 2022” Results

December 3, 2022

GANBARE☆PRO “TOKIMEKI NISHISU 2022”, 03/12/2022
Yokohama Radiant Hall
113 Fans

1. GanPro Specialty Mixed Tag Match: Shinichiro Tominaga & HARUKAZE defeated Yuki Kanzaki & Yoshiko Hasegawa when HARUKAZE pinned Hasegawa with the Flame Spear (11:35).
2. GanJo Special Single Match: Moeka Haruhi defeated YuuRI with the West High East Low Winter Gorkuraku Gatame (9:08).
3. GanPro Vs P.P.P.: Yumehito Imanari & Yuna Manase defeated Kentaro Hachisu & Echika Miyabi when Manase submitted Miyabi with a Half Crab Hold (12:25).
4. GanPro Special 6-Man Tag Match In YOKOHAMA: Ken Ohka, Shuichiro Katsumura & Tsuyoshi Okada defeated Keisuke Ishii, Soma Takao & Tyson Maeguchi when Katsumura submitted Ishii with the Triple Three 3 Lock (14:38).
5. Tokimeki Nishisu 2022 Special Tag Match: Shigehiro Irie & Mizuki Watase defeated Hartley Jackson & Seiya Morohashi when Watase pinned Morohashi with the Elbow Butt (15:58).

The last prelim match before Ganbare☆Pro heads to Korakuen Hall at the end of December had Mizuki Watase score a big victory over Hartley Jackson’s team. The show began with a contract signing between the two and Watase spoke about wrestling in 15 different promotions this year. He’s been told he has no Ganbare☆Spirit but in reality he is burning with it. Jackson told Watase that Ganpro is his home too and no matter what Watase can do, he will not win the Spirit Of Ganbare Title from Jackson. In the main event Watase had Shigehiro Irie by his side and nailed Seiya Morohashi with an Elbow Butt to score the victory. Watase told Jackson that this is Ganbare☆Spirit. It does not matter if it looks uncool or unrefined, the more you win with it the more the spirit will burn! Jackson warned that when the title match takes place on 27th December he won’t be treating Watase like a little kid anymore.

The team from P.P.P. Tokyo provided a new challenge for Yumehito Imanari & Yuna Manase to take on together. Echika Miyabi was on the previous show losing to Manase. Kentaro Hachisu was making his Ganpro debut and has been getting attention lately for the “Chest Hair Niki” gimmick he uses to promote his wrestling matches and MMA fights. Manase won the match for the home team by tapping out Miyabi, but the Ganpro team paid respect to the P.P.P. wrestlers after the match.

Munetatsu Nakamura will have his debut match on 27th December against Shinichiro Tominaga. Nakamura told the fans he wants to have an exciting match that will leave a mark on everybody. Tominaga’s advice to him is to understand that pro wrestling is all about experience. He then gave a personal example involving a sexual act he was once involved in that almost left him blinded but I don’t want to write about those details at all.

An inter-promotional match mixing together Ganpro and Tokyo Joshi Pro is happening on the 27th. Yoshiko Hasegawa is going to team with Suzume, who she recently fought in a TJPW ring. The two of them think they can get along, grow and become stronger together. Their opponents don’t seem to be on the same page. YuuRI is excited to team with Yuki Kamifuku but the feelings don’t seem to be mutual. She always tweets compliments to her but never gets a response. Kamifuku is happy to wrestle in Ganpro again but thinks Ken Ohka has bad taste if he is making her team up with “a cabaret girl who makes about 1,200 yen an hour.”

A video message from Shota was sent in revealing his American excursion will soon be coming to an end. His return to Ganpro will be on 27th December.

With a month to go before the Ittentyon Korakuen Hall show, Miyu Yamashita has her sights set on becoming a double champion. Today was the first in a series of preview matches where Yamashita and Yuka Sakazaki can face off in the ring. Next up she has to defend the EVE Title against Rhio and she’ll be counting on this momentum do become a double crown champion. Sakazaki admitted she already ate the cream puffs Yamashita gave to her for the title shot so she cannot give them back to cancel the match. They were delicious though so she is now motivated to do her best and defend the Princess Of Princess Title.

Millie McKenzie is greatful for her time spent in Tokyo Joshi Pro and hopes she has done enough during her stay to be brought back again. Yuki Kamifuku compared their victory today to the success that Japan and England are currently having in the World Cup. She told the reporters in their post-match interview that McKenzie asked to be brought back whenever there is international football going on.

Pom Harajuku tried to take Haruna Neko hostage during her match against Rika Tatsumi. It didn’t work because Tatsumi doesn’t care about Neko.

This time last year Yukio Naya was in the dark match on the same show as the D-Ou Grand Prix final. One year later and he is in the main event fighting in the tournament final. He is motivated to win so he can go beat Kazusada Higuchi again, this time for the KO-D Openweight Title. His power is what concerns Yuki Ueno. However Ueno has his speed to use against that. While Naya has been training with his father to improve his luck, Ueno spent time relaxing in a sauna with Shinya Aoki.

Akiyama’s 1st TLC Match, Kotaro BURNS Again, Rhio Challenges Yamashita For EVE Title

November 30, 2022

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “TJPW AUTUMN TOUR ’22”, 03/12/2022
Yokohama Radiant Hall

1. Mizuki Vs Haruna Neko
2. Rika Tatsumi Vs Pom Harajuku
3. Yuki Kamifuku & Millie McKenzie Vs Shoko Nakajima & Suzume

5. Yuki Aino & Raku Vs Hyper Misao & Kaya Toribami

The long road to Ittenyon has begun. Yuka Sakazaki and Miyu Yamashita have plenty of time and matches with each other to prepare for the Princess Of Princess Title match on 4th January.

Raku has recovered from covid and is cleared to wrestle again. She missed out on the Princess Tag Team Titles match but her team with Yuki Aino continues.

Before Millie McKenzie goes back to England she is getting another match in Tokyo Joshi Pro.

Nao Kakuta is absent again because she is back doing her stage play.

DDT “D-OU GRAND PRIX 2022 THE FINAL”, 04/12/2022
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. Yuki “Sexy” Iino & Danshoku “Dandy” Dieno Vs Akito & Antonio Honda
2. Soma Takao, Hideki Okatani & Hikaru Machida Vs Yuya Koroku, Yuki Ishida & Takeshi Masada
3. BURNING Vs The 37KAMIINA!: Tetsuya Endo, Kotaro Suzuki & Yusuke Okada Vs MAO, Shunma Katsumata & Toi Kojima
4. Special 6-Man Tag Match: Naruki Doi, Toru Owashi & Kazuki Hirata Vs HARASHIMA, Yukio Sakaguchi & Kazuma Sumi
5. Special 8-Man Tag Match: Kazusada Higuchi, Yuji Hino, Chris Brookes & RSP Vs Daisuke Sasaki, Minoru Fujita, MJ Paul & KANON
6. DDT Extreme Title – TLC Match: Joey Janela (c) Vs Jun Akiyama
7. D-Ou Grand Prix 2022 – Final: Yuki Ueno Vs Yukio Naya

For the first time in his illustrious career Jun Akiyama is doing a TLC Match! Joey Janela chose the stipulation on purpose for that reason. He also thinks beating Akiyama in a TLC Match will benefit GCW and their expansion into Japan. Akiyama is not familiar with the match type even after his recent appearances in America for AEW. All he knows is it sounds like the kind of match Shunma Katsumata likes to do. Akiyama agreed to do the match and promises to do it with his own style. He hears that Janela has respect for him but he does not believe it.

During the week Akiyama held an interview with Kotaro Suzuki on his Youtube channel. Suzuki revealed his contract with NOAH had just expired and he is now a free agent. Akiyama suggested he come wrestle a match for DDT. He would set everything up for him to do it. Suzuki was a member of a previous version of BURNING so it only makes sense for him to be part of their team in the match against The 37KAMIINA. The sauna boys add Toi Kojima to even the numbers.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “TJPW CITY CIRCUIT AUTUMN ~HAMAMATSU PERFORMANCE~”, 10/12/2022
Shizuoka Entetsu Hall

1. EVE Title: Miyu Yamashita (c) Vs Rhio

Here is “The Unbreakable” Rhio making her second tour of TJPW. On the same show that Yamashita won the EVE Title at, Rhio had already thrown her name out as the next challenger for the championship. McKenzie ended up leapfrogging her for to be Yamashita’s first challenger and there won’t be another EVE show taking place until January so Rhio is taking matters into her own hands. She is going back to Japan with the goal of winning the EVE Title and bringing it back home. EVE announced that should Rhio beat Yamashita and become the new champion, Yamashita will get a rematch in London on 7th January. I assume she’ll be doing that date with or without the title anyway.

BASARA “BASARA 206 ~RYU TOKOTO~”, 11/12/2022
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. Ryuichi Sekine & Minoru Fujita Vs Ryota Nakatsu & SAGAT
2. Daiki Shimomura Vs Atsuki Aoyagi
3. IRON FIST Tag Titles: Takato Nakano & Masato Kamino (c) Vs Takumi Tsukamoto & Yasu Urano
4. Union MAX Title: Isami Kodaka (c) Vs Fuminori Abe

Yasu Urano is having a career resurgance on the indies. He made it to the final of the Chouten ~Itadaki~ tournament and currently holds the main championship in JUST TAP OUT. He can add more glory by teaming with Takumi Tsukamoto and winning the IRON FIST Tag Titles from Aijin Tag. The tournament is the connecting point for everyone in the match. Masato Kamino eliminated Tsukamoto in the first round and then beat his own partner Takato Nakano in the next. Urano beat Kamino in the semi final.

The current AJPW World Jr. Heavyweight Champion is coming to BASARA. In a first time meeting Daiki Shimomura is defending home turf against Atsuki Aoyagi!

4. Special Single Match: Shinya Aoki Vs Chihiro Hashimoto
5. KO-D Openweight Title: Kazusada Higuchi (c) Vs X

Shinya Aoki wants his match against Chihiro Hashimoto to be held under Ganryujima Rules, which means the ropes will be removed from the ring. Hashimoto is unsure to accept the condition because she has never wrestled in that kind of environment before. What she is sure about is to beat Aoki by using her German Suplex finisher, the Albright.

Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. Suzume Vs Yoshiko Hasegawa
2. 2 Vs 3 Handicap Match: Shoko Nakajima & Hyper Misao Vs Haruna Neko, Mahiro Kiryu & Kaya Toribami
3. Rika Tatsumi & Miu Watanabe Vs Moka Miyamoto & Juria Nagano

7. Princess Tag Team Titles: Saki Akai & Yuki Arai (c) Vs Yuki Aino & Pom Harajuku
8. Princess Of Princess Title: Yuka Sakazaki (c) Vs Billie Starkz

The match contract for the Princess Tag Team Titles match was signed earlier this week. Everyone involved gave comments on the match too. Saki Akai has been watching Yuki Aino’s matches ever since she debuted but she doesn’t sense any of the burning passion that Aino always talks about. She does not feel threatened by the challenging team for that reason. Yuki Arai does not feel used to defending her championship and is still nervous over these matches. Aino was meant to go into this match with Raku and will still be motivated to fight for her while she is absent with covid. Pom Harajuku broke down into tears because she wanted to see her friends challenge for the championship and now Raku cannot do it. Aino encouraged her to fight together and suggested they can divide the Tag Titles into thirds if they win. This match is happening around the same time as Harajuku’s 4th anniversary so she thinks it might be God/Raku telling her it’s time to show everyone she is an adult pro wrestler. Oddly enough, Akai thought the sight of Harajuku crying was kind of scary…

The EVE Title match will be held under the “Spirit Of EVE” ruleset used by the British promotion. The match has a 30 minute time limit, no countouts and the referee can end the match if one of wrestlers no longer shows the spirit to continue fighting. Really, it’s the no countout rule that is the only real difference here. Tokyo Joshi Pro’s title matches also have 30 minute time limits and there’s been referee stoppages over here in the past for knockouts and submissions.

There will be three people greeting the audiences during Sayuri Namba’s opening announcements before the show begins. It could be anything from some of the trainees learning about their pro debuts, outsiders visiting to promote an upcoming match with the company, members of the roster having news to tell everyone and so on.
