0. Under Match ~ Blow Away King Of DDT 2021!: Danshoku Dieno, Antonio Honda, Toru Owashi, Kazuki Hirata & Gota Ihashi Vs Yusuke Okada, Yuki Iino, Yukio Naya, Hideki Okatani & Yuya Koroku
1. King Of DDT 2021 – Round 1A: HARASHIMA Vs Makoto Oishi
2. King Of DDT 2021 – Round 1B: Yuji Hino Vs Yukio Sakaguchi
3. King Of DDT 2021 – Round 1C: MAO Vs Soma Takao
4. King Of DDT 2021 – Round 1D: Akito Vs Konosuke Takeshita
5. King Of DDT 2021 – Round 1E: Yuki Ueno Vs Daisuke Sasaki
6. King Of DDT 2021 – Round 1F: Shunma Katsumata Vs Jun Akiyama
7. King Of DDT 2021 – Round 1G: Kazusada Higuchi Vs Naomi Yoshimura
8. King Of DDT 2021 – Round 1H: Tetsuya Endo Vs Chris Brookes
The King Of DDT begins tomorrow and a KO-D Openweight Title shot at “WRESTLE PETER PAN 2021” is up for grabs. The major DDT singles champions are all entering the tournament. Jun Akiyama has said if he wins then he will nominated Sanshiro Takagi as the No. 1 Contender. Konosuke Takeshita won’t let him do that because it is his intention to eventually win the KO-D Title back from Akiyama. Everyone is gunning after Akiyama though. Last year’s winner Tetsuya Endo wants to make a big turnaround for the second half of 2021 and recapture all of his glory from last year. He needs to get past Chris Brookes first and their singles matches in the past have all been too close to call. Shunma Katsumata also has a recent pinfall over the champion which is why Akiyama nominated him to be his 1st Round opponent.
The rest of the field have their stories to tell too. Makoto Oishi has a lot of confidence because his Fujiyama Knee Lock made Yukio Sakaguchi submit. HARASHIMA wants a rematch with Akiyama. Yuji Hino is interested in finding out how strong Sakaguchi can be when he gets angry. Soma Takao is interested in the cash prize. MAO is falling behind the rest of The 37KAMIINA so he does not want to become the weakest member of the group. Akito wants to advance past the semi-final stage he reached last year. Daisuke Sasaki is the only one without any motivation. He saw Yuki Ueno pin Kaito Kiyomiya and doesn’t like his own chances of doing any better. Ueno feels he cannot lose while he holds the DDT UNIVERSAL Title. There is a race to the top forming between DNA alumni Naomi Yoshimura and Kazusada Higuchi.

3. Virtual Tenshin Nasukawa! ~ Kickboxing Rules: Miyako Matsumoto Vs Tanomusaku Toba
4. Team MAKAI Vs 2AW Full Scale Battle: Shota & Asuka Vs Shiori Asahi & Ayame Sasamura
5. Ganjo Special Tag Match: Yuna Manase & HARUKAZE Vs Yuu Yamagata & Moeka Haruhi
At the last Ganbare☆Joshi show, Yuu Yamagata defeated both HARUKAZE and Yuna Manase then swore never to come back. After months of trying to make contact, Manase disguised herself as an UberEats driver to find Yamagata’s home and confront her to get a rematch at the next Ganjo show. Yamagata didn’t want to create noise in front of her neighbours so she met with Manase at the parking lot to discuss it. She eventually agreed to come back for another match. She will team with Moeka Haruhi to face both Manase & HARUKAZE in a tag bout.
A bunch of outside help is filling up the card. 2AW, MAKAI, Gatoh Move and Miyako Matsumoto all have their own ideas for what should be on a joshi wrestling card.

1. Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title – Battle Royal: Shinya Aoki (c) Vs Saki Akai Vs Antonio Honda Vs Toru Owashi Vs Kazuki Hirata
2. Steak Kuiyagare Presents Special Single Match: Danshoku Dieno Vs Yusuke Okada (Special Witness: Kiyoshi Hayashishita)
3. King Of DDT 2021 – Round 2: Winner Of Match 1A Vs Winner Of Match 1B
4. King Of DDT 2021 – Round 2: Winner Of Match 1C Vs Winner Of Match 1D
5. King Of DDT 2021 – Round 2: Winner Of Match 1E Vs Winner Of Match 1F
6. King Of DDT 2021 – Round 2: Winner Of Match 1G Vs Winner Of Match 1H
It turns out that Yusuke Okada and Kiyoshi Hayashishita are friends in real life and Okada promised a “Big Name X” for Hayashishita to see him wrestle in person. That big name is Danshoku Dieno. This is Okada’s idea because fighting Dieno means he can now truly call himself a DDT wrestler. When the three of them met for the contract signing, Dieno gave Hayashishita the Lip Lock and made him faint. Okada swore revenge and promised Hayashishita will be there to see it!

4. King Of DDT 2021 – Final: X Vs X
After achieving his goal of getting to wrestle again, Yoshiaki Yatsu has been invited by Takagi to compete in DDT more often if the timing and conditions allow it. Yatsu accepts the offer but wants to do more than a Battle Royal. Takagi came up with the idea to give Yatsu a shot at the KO-D 8-Man Tag Team Titles. DDT will provide Yatsu his three partners. He’d like to have a team of Olympic quality wrestlers but will be glad to get people with amateur wrestling backgrounds.

0. Current Blast Death Match: Atsushi Onita Vs X
1. KO-D Openweight Title: Jun Akiyama (c) Vs X
As soon as Atsushi Onita found out that a second ring would be set up for his Current Blast Death Match, he got in touch with DDT. Onita told them it takes time to set up that kind of match so he wants it to be the very first match of the day, taking place on the pre-show! DDT agreed to his request and plan to move the match over to the main wrestling ring. There will still be two rings set up on the day with something planned for the second ring. DDT just hasn’t figured out what they want to do with it yet.

*V3 for Jun Akiyama.
12. GHC Heavyweight Title – Triple Main Event III: Naomichi Marufuji defeated Keiji Muto (c) with the Tiger King Zero (23:30).
*Keiji Muto fails in V3. Naomichi Marufuji becomes the 35th GHC Heavyweight Champion!

The big supershow came and went without a hitch! DDT, NOAH, Tokyo Joshi Pro and Ganbare☆Pro all worked together to offer their best effort at Saitama Super Arena in front of 4,800 fans. When the three main events were done the three main champions of DDT, NOAH & TJPW entered the ring to thank the fans for coming to see them. Naomichi Marufuji said the CyberFight promotions will energize everyone with the power of pro wrestling. Jun Akiyama thanked everyone for attending even in the midst of the Coronavirus pandemic. He also thanked the fans watching on WRESTLE UNIVERSE. Last but not least Miyu Yamashita pointed out this was the largest crowd TJPW has performed in front of. She is certain that many people saw TJPW for the first time today and will be happy if any of them will stick around to see more. The entire cast of wrestlers gathered together on the stage for a massive group photo to close out the show.

Only one title changed hands out of the three main event championship matches. On the NOAH side, Marufuji won the GHC Heavyweight Title from Keiji Muto in what was called a “Genius Showdown”. Muto pulled out all the stops to try and win, going far enough to pull out the Moonsault that he retired three years ago! Just as shocking was Marufuji kicking out of the pin. He then got on the attack and unleashed all of his kicking and knee strikes on the champion. Muto tried to block what he could but he fell to the Tiger King Zero and the title now belongs to Marufuji.

DDT’s main event saw Akiyama choke out HARASHIMA to retain the KO-D Openweight Title. Akiyama entered the ring carrying the giant hammer commonly seen in DDT’s hardcore matches as a sign of loyalty to the company. HARASHIMA took the big risk of doing the Swan Dive Somato but Akiyama rolled out of the way. The champion then struck HARASHIMA with a Knee Kick and then dropped him with the Wrist Clutch Exploder. For weeks the Front Neck Lock was the finishing move used by both wrestlers so it was only fitting for Akiyama to sink it in on his opponent until the referee called for the bell. Backstage Akiyama said he has now defeated all of DDT’s icons. Next in line for him is whoever wins King Of DDT. If Akiyama wins the tournament then he promises to nominate Sanshiro Takagi so they can see which of them in their 50s is stronger.

Over at TJPW, Yamashita scored her first Princess Of Princess Title defence by beating Yuka Sakazaki. The match meant a lot to both wrestlers and they brought out their big moves. Sakazaki attempted the Magical Girl 450 Splash but missed, Yamashita hit the Skull Kick but was too tired to go for the pin allowing Sakazaki enough recovery time to reach for a rope break when she was pinned. Yamashita feigned a Crash Rabbit Heat to make Sakazaki flinch, then redirected herself to hit the move from another angle. With her opponent’s defence down, Yamashita hit the move proper for the victory. Yamashita tried to communicate with Sakazaki after the match but got a big slap across the face instead. Sakazaki stormed off while Yamashita celebrated with her title. Backstage Yamashita said she wants TJPW to push even further and aim for their own event at Sumo Hall.

The big DDT Vs NOAH match of the show provided the perfect storm to show two wrestlers going in opposite directions. DDT’s Yuki Ueno is having a banner year while NOAH’s Kaito Kiyomiya is currently going through a rough slump of results. The DDT’s team lived up to Konosuke Takeshita’s promise of getting an overwhelming win over Kiyomiya & Yoshiki Inamura. Takeshita used his power to do a German Suplex to Kiyomiya and his own partner Ueno. A big Dropkick from Ueno to Kiyomiya’s face was the move that captured everyone’s attention and the Best Moonsault Ever sealed the deal. Both of the DDT wrestlers were impressed with Inamura’s power though. This might not be the last time they cross paths. Kiyomiya insists that this current run of bad results is just a passing point for him.

The spirit of DDT was on full display when they went into battle against Kongo. The DDT team led by Sanshiro Takagi were as motivated as ever after Kenoh called the company a place only for wrestlers with side jobs. They armed themselves with many of DDT’s signature weapons: the Dramatic Dream Cycle, the rotary drill, the big hammer and the strongest of them all… Yoshihiko! The big meeting in the ring was when Yukio Sakaguchi and Kenoh faced off. During the chaos Kenoh must have lost his mind because he decided to use the Dramatic Dream to run over Takagi on the ramp! He and Katsuhiko Nakajima continued to beat on Takagi when Sakaguchi & Kazusada Higuchi came to the rescue. Sakaguchi hit Kenoh with the God’s Right Knee. Then, with Yoshihiko’s help, he caught Kenoh in the Sleeper Hold and held him back while Takagi pinned Haoh with the Sit Down Himawari Bomb. Takagi told Kenoh afterwards that he hates him but he will never force him to change his style. Every promotion in CyberFight can do the pro wrestling they want to do. There is only one goal and that is become the No. 1 pro wrestling power in the industry!

DDT’s offer match for the show was DAMNATION taking on the combined power of Chris Brookes & The 37KAMIINA in a trios match. MAO pulled out a firecracker but Daisuke Sasaki ducked and the pop hit Shunma Katsumata instead. DAMNATION went on a tear with Soma Takao using a Hurricanrana to Brookes out of the ring onto everyone outside, Tetsuya Endo then hitting a Swan Dive Shooting Star Press and even Mad Paulie getting involved behind the referee’s back. Sasaki finished MAO off with the Crossover Facelock to give DAMNATION the victory.

There were no heel turns in the NOAH Jr. Heavyweight match. I repeat, there were no heel turns in the NOAH Jr. Heavyweight match! The champion trio of Atsushi Kotoge, Daisuke Harada & Hajime Ohara went toe to toe against STINGER. Kotoge & Ohara cut off Yoshinari Ogawa & HAYATA outside the ring while Harada pinned Seiki Yoshioka with the Katayama German Suplex. Harada said it gives his team confidence to go into the match as champions and win.

The SKE48 idol Yuki Arai has gotten a lot of attention with her move into pro wrestling. Today was only her second match but it was still given a big spot on the card given it was her first bout in front of an audience. SKE48 graduate Jurina Matsui was in attendance to see her fight. Arai’s immediate rival Maki Itoh formed the Saitama Itoh Respect Army 2021 to steal the attention away from her. Having Yuki Kamifuku & Marika Kobashi on Itoh’s side worked out in the end because Arai almost pinned Itoh with the Finally (Axe Kick). They broke the count then got into a fight with Hikari Noa & Mizuki. With all of them out of the way, Itoh caught Arai in a Crab Hold then twisted it in a different angle to get the submission win. That version of the move is called the Itoh Punish. Jurina cheered her friend on when Arai was helped out of the ring by her partners.

One of the DDT Vs NOAH matches had Masa Kitamiya smash through Hideki Okatani in under three minutes. Okatani put up a fight in that short time but Suplexes, a Lariat and the Jail Hold resulted in Kitamiya getting his hand raised.

The unofficial SUGI & SAKU Titles match is one that Takashi Sugiura will not remember fondly in years to come. Probably not the weirdest thing Kazushi Sakuraba has ever been a part of though, to be honest. Sugiura & Sakuraba wrestled most of the match wearing their custom Super Strong Machine masks anyway. Before the match began, Super Sasadango Machine held a PowerPoint presentation titled “How To Beat Sugiura & Sakuraba”. You cannot beat them under normal conditions but Sugiura-gun are also not used to fighting against comedy wrestlers. The plan then is to make them laugh to throw them off their game. Sasadango brought out plastic bats to play a Guru Guru spinning game but Sugiura attacked him with it instead. Danshoku Dieno wore a mask of actress Takako Tokiwa’s face to seduce Sakuraba but his trap was foiled by an Ankle Lock. Sasadango unmasked in a moment that looked serious, but it was just so he could wear pantyhose on his head. Sugiura was then forced to wear pantyhose over his head too. He pinned Sasadango to end the bout and then apologised to the fans for having them watch a shit match.

The TJPW 3 Way Tag Match involved three teams all in position to get a future Princess Tag Team Titles shot. Kyoraku Kyomei warned that Shoko Nakajima was going to destroy Saitama Super Arena in a kaiju rampage but Hyper Misao would immediately fix it afterwards like the hero she is. The match went wild with Daydream and The Bakuretsu Sisters also involved. Kyoraku Kyomei came out on top in the end. Rika Tatsumi argued that Daydream still won because she and Miu Watanabe did not get pinned. Nodoka Tenma & Yuki Aino said they still had fun despite Aino dropping the fall.

Yuki Iino revealed a new pink wrestling outfit when he came out for the opening match. The NOAH team of Junta Miyawaki & Kinya Okada were determined to start the show off on the right track for their company. Miyawaki made Toui Kojima tap out to get his team the win. Kojima ended up with a dislocated left elbow at some point but continued to fight until the end.

The STARTING BATTLE pre-show consisted of three matches and was home to Ganpro’s matches on the day. The headline bout of this section had Shuichiro Katsumura, Kouki Iwasaki & Yumehito Imanari defeat Ken Ohka, Keisuke Ishii & Shota. Everyone involved treated the match as if they were fighting to become the hero of Saitama Super Arena. Iwasaki got the pin and said he is ready to fight with anyone in Ganpro and was proud to do his thing inside this building. Ohka closed out this portion of the show by shouting “We are Ganbare☆Pro Wrestling!”

Antonio Honda was the last person standing in the Battle Royal. The match featured the return to the ring of Yoshiaki Yatsu for the first time in two years. He wrestled with his specailly made prosthetic foot after his right leg was amputated due to worsening diabetes. Yatsu was the first entrant in the match so he wasn’t taking things easy. Wrestlers from DDT, NOAH and Ganpro filled the ring and in the end, Honda used the power of Gongitsune to guide his way to victory.

The very first match of the day was the debut match of TJPW’s newest wrestler, Kaya Toribami. There was very little information about the masked woman given out and a solid performance in the ring today raises some questions. Is this somebody who already has wrestling experience going incognito? For the rest of the field, they could hardly contain themselves to perform in a major venue.

Yoshiaki Yatsu held a public training session today to demonstrate his wrestling ability with his specially made prosthetic foot. Using Keigo Nakamura as his sparring partner, Yatsu successfully did Bulldog Headlocks, Suplexes, Power Slams and even a Uranage. For his big finish, Yatsu applied the Jail Hold with such skill that it made Nakamura submit. Yatsu explained to the reporters that when he stands, he cannot move his ankle so he risks becoming an easy target in the Battle Royal if he stays still. For now, kicking with the prosthetic foot has not been ruled illegal by DDT so Yatsu is looking forward to kicking and stomping his opponents before the rule gets changed. He is so excited to wrestle again.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “YES! WONDERLAND 2021 ~WE ARE STILL IN THE MIDDLE OF OUR DREAMS~”, 04/05/2021

6. Princess Tag Team Titles: Sakisama & Mei Saint-Michel (c) Vs Mirai Maiumi & Suzume
7. Princess Of Princess Title: Rika Tatsumi (c) Vs Miyu Yamashita
The full card for the next Tokyo Joshi Pro show in Korakuen Hall is out and it now has big ramifications for “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL 2021” in June. Whoever leaves the show as the Princess Of Princess Champion will defend the title in Saitama Super Arena against the winner of the 3 Way Match. Rika Tatsumi has never beaten Miyu Yamashita in a singles match. No matter what she did against her in those matches, Yamashita never broke. Tatsumi thinks Yamashita is not a human but a monster. The only way to beat a monster is to crush their head or punch them in the heart. That’s what she is thinking about going into Korakuen. Both champion and challenger would want the match to happen in front of an audience but they are sure fans will be cheering them on from their homes.
NEO Biishiki-gun aren’t taking too kind to BeeStar challenging them for the Princess Tag Team Titles. When BeeStar interrupted their celebration at Korakuen to ask for a title shot, Mei Saint-Michel froze on the spot. She hasn’t forgiven them for ruining her first title win ever since. Every time she looks at her championship, she sees the faces of Mirai Maiumi & Suzume staring back at her in plate’s reflection. Sakisama doesn’t understand where the challengers are getting their confidence from. They came from parts of Japan where nature is abundant so she thinks they must have been infected by the bad side of Tokyo. BeeStar say they are steadily evolving until 4th May and will get revenge for losing to NEO Biishiki-gun back in February.
Under normal circumstances, Hikari Noa does not have a positive win-loss record to qualify for a title match. However, she has received so much high praise from fans for her performance against Yamashita two weeks ago that Tetsuya Koda is rewarding her with a match against Yuki Kamifuku for the International Princess Title. He thinks Noa is fully qualified to get the title shot. This follows Sena Shiori’s departing comments about wanting to see her friend win a singles championship. Kamifuku has been defending the “Tiffany Blue” belt against locals on the roster. She wants to start defending it against international talent so she does not want to lose the title before that can happen. As the world battles against Covid-19, Noa will battle against Kamiyu-28!
The 3 Way Match consists of three of TJPW’s strongest, mashing together The Miraclians and The Magical Sugar Rabbits with only one standing tall in the end. Yuka Sakazaki wants to win back the Princess Title because she isn’t happy with how much the pandemic effected her previous reign. Shoko Nakajima wants to win back the title because she is more confident in herself now than back when she was the champion. Mizuki thinks she is a long way from becoming champion but winning the belt will get her to break out of her shell. All three of them don’t want to fight either Tatsumi or Yamashita which makes things awkward. Tatsumi would like to face Mizuki though.

4. GHC Heavyweight Title: Keiji Muto (c) Vs X
5. KO-D Openweight Title: Jun Akiyama (c) Vs HARASHIMA
A series of pre-show bouts will be held before “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL 2021” kicks off. There will be four STARTING BATTLE matches mixing together wrestlers from DDT, NOAH, Tokyo Joshi Pro and Ganbare☆Pro. The “main event” of the pre-show is being provided by Ganpro. Ken Ohka is thrilled because both the main event and the opening match are the most important matches on a wrestling card. By that logic, adding the main event and the opening match together creates something that is super important!
One of the matches is a Royal Rumble with Yoshiaki Yatsu announced to be taking part. In 2019 Yatsu began wrestling with DDT during the build up to the Tokyo Olympics. Then in the summer Yatsu had to get his right foot amputated because of issues with diabetes. Then in March 2020 Yatsu announced his plans to come back to wrestling using a prosthetic foot specially designed by Kawamura Prosthetics Inc. for use in the ring. His scheduled return in June was called off when “WRESTLE PETER PAN 2020” was cancelled because of the pandemic. Since then Yatsu got to be an Olympic torchbearer in Ashikaga City. Now a year later Yatsu will get to complete his comeback by entering the STARTING BATTLE Rumble. Yatsu demonstrated his prosthetic foot by beating up Ken Ohka a bunch with wrestling moves during a press conference.
The Battle Royal will feature wrestlers from DDT and NOAH. The winner receives a Victory Award from CyberFight.

7. KO-D Openweight Title: Masato Tanaka (c) defeated Konosuke Takeshita with the Rolling Elbow (22:56).
*V2 for Masato Tanaka.

Heck if I know if it was a good idea to do this but DDT’s monthly Korakuen Hall show went ahead today in front of an audience. The main event to celebrate DDT’s 23rd anniversary saw the face of the company attempt to regain the KO-D Openweight Title. The champion Masato Tanaka used chairs to great effect, using them to attack Konosuke Takeshita’s knees as well as hit a direct chairshot to the head. A Splash from the top rope through a table outside also caused great damage to Takeshita. However Takeshita used the chair against Tanaka by Corner To Corner Dropkicking it into his face. Takeshita hit an Avalanche Air Raid Crash but Tanaka kicked out of the pin. The Fable was countered into a Power Bomb. Tanaka kept using Elbow Strikes to cut off Takeshita’a offence. He would hit short range Sliding D’s but Takeshita would find a way to prevent Tanaka from hitting the move at full force. Takeshita threw his own Elbow Strikes but Tanaka stood tall at the end when he pulled off his elbow pad and struck Takeshita raw with an unprotected Rolling Elbow. There was no kicking out after that.

Tanaka said he was so happy to fight Takeshita today because of the struggle he gave him. When Takeshita left ringside, Yuki Iino approached the ring threatening to cash in his Right To Challenge Gauntlet. However it was only a threat and he left without doing anything. Tanaka had an opportunity to choose his next challenger again but he wasn’t sure who to pick. Suddenly, Yukio Sakaguchi sprung into the ring! He wants the next title shot in April. The match was accepted with Tanaka standing on the middle rope so he could look down on Sakaguchi. The final words went to Sakaguchi. In April will win the KO-D Title and Kazusada Higuchi will win the Saitama Super Arena Sword. That will mean when June comes around, the main event of Saitama Super Arena will be occupied entirely by Eruption! Sakaguchi then thanked the fans for coming out today. He works a regular job along with his pro wrestling career so he is grateful that the fans continue to support DDT. In return everybody in DDT is encouraged to do their best.

Easy come, easy go. The first DDT UNIVERSAL Champion loses the belt in his first defence. An out of ring brawl made up the early part of the match with Chris Brookes attempting to put Daisuke Sasaki through some chairs with the Praying Mantis Bomb. Instead Sasaki dropped both Brookes and himself into the row of chairs with a Russian Leg Sweep. Sasaki also hit a Diving Elbow Drop from the ring corner to a seated Brookes outside the ring. DAMNATION interfered once Brookes regained some ground. Sasaki intentionally used Brookes to take out Daisuke Kiso. Tetsuya Endo’s Overhead Kick hit Sasaki by mistake and Brookes hit the Praying Mantis Bomb. Kiso counted the pin until Mad Paulie pulled him out of the ring. Brookes wiped out DAMNATION with a dive then made Sasaki submit to the Octopus Hold but there was no referee to call the match. Nobuhiro Shimatani came in to attack Brookes with the DAMNATION signboard but Masahiro Takanashi came out to get rid of him. Kiso got back up to count some nearfalls like Sasaki’s Diving Elbow and Brookes’ Tombstone Piledriver. Brookes went for the Praying Mantis Bomb once more but Sasaki countered it into the Cross Facelock. He then switched it into the Crossover Facelock to make Brookes submit.

Sasaki’s first words as the new champion was “Old dog never die!” He said all beer from the UK is soft with no carbonation so he will not take on any challengers from Britain anymore. Antonio Honda entered the ring to challenge Sasaki but he tripped over the ropes. He got back up and said Sasaki has a filthy heart. Sasaki began to meditate to fix that problem but Honda told him to get back up. Honda challenged Sasaki to a title match but he was turned down.

As briefly mentioned earlier, Eruption has the main event of “WRESTLE PETER PAN 2020” in their sights. Sakaguchi is going straight after the KO-D Title while Higuchi is now targeting Endo for the SSA Sword. Higuchi threw Endo for a loop by using a Package Power Bomb but it was Sakaguchi who won the match by pinning Shimatani. T-Hawk was earlier taken out with a Higuchi Lariat so it was a rough match for the Business Alliance.

When the match ended, El Lindaman promoted the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles match he, Endo & T-Hawk will be a part of in two days time. ALL OUT interrupted the Business Alliance because Royce Chambers had something to say. He will be going back to Australia tomorrow so he is using his Right To Challenge Gauntlet to win the SSA Sword right now! Chambers went for the kill by using his own high flying moves to counter Endo’s. They both used Canadian Destroyers on each other but Endo took it one step further by doing a Double Arm Canadian Destroyer. Chambers kicked out of the pin after that but was down and out when Endo hit the Shooting Star Press. Endo got on the mic and said as long as he is in the ring, nobody else will get the chance to be at the top! He told Chambers to study more Japanese if he ever comes back. He then joked about wrestling in saunas before warning ALL OUT that the Business Alliance will win the KO-D 6-Man Tag Titles! Whoever comes out as the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Champions after 22nd March will defend the belts against DISASTER BOX on 4th April.

Naomichi Marufuji was back to team with DISASTER BOX and his partnership with HARASHIMA in particular had not lost a step. When Yuki Ueno dove out of the ring onto Iino & Chambers, it left HARASHIMA & Marufuji alone with Akito. Together they hit a Double Thrust Kick, Marufuji did the Shiranui and HARASHIMA won with the Somato.

After the match, HARASHIMA thanked Marufuji for reforming HarashiMarufuji after a long time apart. They brought up the idea of tagging together at “WRESTLE PETER PAN”. That caused CIMA & Soma Takao to come out. CIMA made fun of the HarashiMarufuji team name. It isn’t an easy name to say. CimaSoma is easy to say which means it is a better name. CIMA could have confronted Marufuji back on the 3rd January DDT show but he was occupied with Business Alliance stuff. In the end CimaSoma challenged HarashiMarufuji to a match at “WRESTLE PETER PAN”. Marufuji isn’t interested in fighting Takao but he can’t turn down the chance to wrestle CIMA for the first time since their Budokan tag match in NOAH way back in 2007!

A Mad Splash from CIMA followed by a Mad Splash from Takao gave the Business Alliance the victory in the 8-Man Tag Match. The bout was Shinya Aoki’s first 8-Man Tag Match and also the return of Mike Bailey to DDT. Aoki found out after the match that his next DDT Extreme Title defence is on 5th April. An opponent has not been decided yet but he would like to face Makoto Oishi in a matchup between Sambo and Judo. Meanwhile The Moonlight Express want to win the KO-D Tag Team Titles so they can claim the shiny new championship belts.

The Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title lineage was fractured into multiple co-champions during the Battle Royal. Before the match even begun, Takanashi pinned Toru Owashi during his entrance to win the belt. Everyone chased Takanashi into the ring so the Rumble style entries were thrown out and a regular Battle Royal began. Owashi & Hiroshi Yamato pinned Takanashi at the same time to they became co-champions. The two of them were then all pinned by Danshoku Dieno, Yukio Naya, Antonio Honda & Mizuki Watase at the same time creating 4 co-champions! Kazuki Hirata had to eliminated each of the 4 co-champions to unify the title back into one whole piece. All of that hard work was taken away when Owashi pinned Hirata after the match to become the champion again.

The debuting Hideki Okatani was pinned in his first match as expected. He was mostly on the defensive against Naomi Yoshimura and also Keigo Nakamura. He was able to do a Northern Lights Suplex after Shunma Katsumata softened Yoshimura up. But a Lariat put Okatani down for the three count. Just like Nakamura, Okatani’s goal is to beat a senior wrestler as soon as possible.

The trainee Jordan Heatley faced Higuchi in the pre-show exhibition match. Heatley tried to put on a Tazzmission but Higuchi instead submitted him with the Canadian Backbreaker. Heatley will make his official debut against Honda on 2nd April.

Yoshiaki Yatsu appeared to introduce the show and also promote his return match at “WRESTLE PETER PAN”.

The 5th opponent in Saki Akai’s “Okibariyasu” trial is Syuri. Akai knows Syuri is a powerful kicker so she is looking forward to comparing them with her own kicks. Their match is on 2nd April.
DDT is holding a Falls Count Anywhere Match inside the Saitama Anzukai Clinic to protect the elderly from the COVID-19. The match on 30th March will be Konosuke Takeshita, Shunma Katsumata & Gorgeous Matsuno Vs Shinya Aoki, Makoto Oishi & Gabai Ji-chan.

March 19, 2020

Last summer Yoshiaki Yatsu had to pull out of his DDT commitments when his right foot was amputated because of pre-existing problems with diabetes. Yesterday a press conference was held to announce Yatsu will make his pro wrestling return at “WRESTLE PETER PAN 2020” in June! Yatsu had been wanting to wrestle again when he began his rehabilitation. At first he didn’t believe it would ever be possible. But when he reached the point where he could practice running again, he began to wonder if a return to the ring actually could happen.
In January Yatsu consulted with Sanshiro Takagi over a possible return. Takagi brought Yatsu to meet with Kei Kawamura, an old high school classmate of his. Kawamura is the president of Kawamura Prosthetics Inc. Together they began developing a unique prosthetic foot for Yatsu that can be suitable for use in pro wrestling. Kawamura describes Yatsu as a person with a strong heart. Prosthetic limbs can be tailored for sports but to make one for pro wrestling is different because there is also an entertainment part to think about.
Yatsu has been training with the new foot and he is currently able to run the ropes and do moves like Power Slams, Bulldog Headlocks and the Jail Hold. But Yatsu needs to strengthen his left foot to improve the support on it. Improvements are being made as the big event on 7th June approaches. What kind of match his return will be has not been decided yet.

Endo made his opponent even more angry when he hit a Low Kick to Sakaguchi’s back. Sakaguchi responded in kind. It took a combination of a Sit Down Power Bomb, the Swinging Torture Rack Bomb and a Handspring Leg Lariat to put Sakaguchi in danger. Endo then finished him off with the Shooting Star Press.

The “WRESTLE PETER PAN 2019” on 15th July is now set. Endo will be defending the KO-D Openweight Title against his biggest enemy Konosuke Takeshita! That is unless Sanshiro Takagi cashes in the last remaining Right To Challenge Gauntlet and wins the belt before that. Takagi says he will cash in while Endo is in a perfect state. Takeshita is happy to wait a little bit and let those two fight over the title if it happens before “WRESTLE PETER PAN”. Endo called out Takeshita for being Takagi’s favourite and he promised to beat Takeshita inside Ota Ward Gymnasium.

It was a fair effort from Kazuki Hirata & Maku Donaruto but not enough to win the KO-D Tag Team Titles. Donaruto’s lewd exploits kept DAMNATION off their game. Stripping down to a gold thong and diving onto people can do that to an opponent. He wiped out Daisuke Sasaki with a Quebrada while Hirata and Soma Takao fought over the Viagra Driver. Takao got the upper hand and pinned Hirata with the Reverse Gory Special Bomb. DAMNATION’s next title defence will be at “WRESTLE PETER PAN” but Sasaki said they will decide who they will fight and also where. DAMNATION wants to decide everything by their ways.

ALL OUT had the honour of teaming with Tatsumi Fujinami for a special 8-Man Tag against a diverse team lead by Yoshiaki Yatsu. It was the first time Takeshita and Fujinami were in the ring together since their singles match back in 2013. Takagi tried adding lucha libre to the match and Rising HAYATO stepped in to help however he could. Yukio Naya stepped up to both Fujinami and Takeshita but the experience level was far too high for him to overcome. Fujinami would put him in the Dragon Sleeper to get the submission victory.

HARASHIMA was in a thankful mood as always. He was thankful to Yuki Ueno & Naomi Yoshimura for their part in DISASTER BOX’s victory today. He is also thankful for the fans for coming to see today’s big show in Matsuyama.

It was expected that Ryutaro Watanabe would lose to Hideki Suzuki but he went down fighting. He fought out of Suzuki’s Double Arm Suplex but Suzuki kicked him repeatedly until the referee stopped the match. Suzuki’s advice for Watanabe is to never run away if he wants to keep wrestling.

Saki Akai declined to shake hands with Mina Shirakawa until after their match. Akai rolled away from a Casadora and hit a High Kick, setting up the match winning Quetzalcoatl.

There were a lot of Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title changes on this show. After the opening match Danshoku Dieno was chased into the ring by Hiroshi Yamato and Pulp Bonjin. Dieno fought them off but Nobuhiro Shimatani snuck in and pinned him with a School Boy to win the title. Then in the Battle Royal the belt went from Shimatani to Mad Paulie to Asuka to the eventual match winner Makoto Oishi. The governor of Ehime Tokihiro Nakamura entered the ring for a congratulatory photo with Oishi but that was interrupted by an attack by Asuka and Toru Owashi. Governor Nakamura then surprised everyone by jumping on top of Oishi to become the new champion! Dieno chased the governor away then later came back to the ring with the belt, informing everyone he had won the championship backstage. Oishi gave Dieno a Low Blow and pinned him. Then Owashi gave Oishi a Choke Slam for the final title change of the day.

Former Shuten-dōji members Masahiro Takanashi and Kota Umeda faced off as one of Umeda’s final matches before he leaves DDT next month. Takanashi went for a bunch of Cradles until Umeda dropped him with the Umeda Driver.

DDT is looking for various companies to sponsor the show. Their first announced sponsorship is with a tax accounting firm for the dark match. It was the firm’s idea to sponsor the dark match because it has never been done before. They hope the match will be just as exciting as the main event.
Yoshiaki Yatsu, Joey Ryan, Chris Brookes and Mike Bailey will be on the show.
DDT “SUMMER VACATION 2019”, 21/07/2019
Tokyo Korakuen Hall
1. Kota Umeda Great Match: Kota Umeda Vs X
2. KO-D Openweight Title: Tetsuya Endo (c) Vs Chris Brookes
It was announced today that Kota Umeda will be leaving DDT when his contract ends on 21st July. The reason is Umeda will be concentrating on working for his family’s business in his home of Kumamoto. The 24 year old will not be able to wrestle while carrying this responsibility. His family is important to him so he is choosing them over pro wrestling. Umeda originally asked to retire as a wrestler but Sanshiro Takagi convinced him to resign from DDT instead. Umeda is so young that he may find the opportunity to wrestle again somewhere down the line. For example DDT runs a show in Kumamoto once a year (this year’s show is coming up in August) so maybe that spot could always be available for him to wrestle in front of his home crowd. Umeda is grateful to Takagi for the advice he gave him and promises to do his best for the last two months of his contract.
Hideki Suzuki, Jiro “Ikemen” Kuroshio, Joey Ryan and Mike Bailey will be on the show.
