1. Ganbare☆Wrestling Vs OSAKA Joshi Wrestling: Sawako Shimono & Rina Yamashita defeated Mitomi Masayuki & Chikara when Yamashita pinned Masayuki with a Samson Clutch Cutback (8:36).
2. Hybrid☆Ganbare: Takaku Fuke defeated Takafumi Ito with a Cross Armbreaker (10:59).
3. Ganpuro In OSAKA Special Tag Match: Shota & TORU defeated YO-HEY & Shinichiro Tominaga when Shota submitted Tominaga with the Sharpshooter (14:12).
4. Yukihiro Abe Tomodachi-gun Graduation Test: Minoru Fujita defeated Yukihiro Abe with the Tombstone Piledriver (17:42).
5. Ganpuro Hardcore Tag Match: Ken Ohka & Ai Shimizu defeated Yumehito Imanari & Bambi when Ohka pinned Imanari with the Spear Of Flame (12:51).

Each wrestler in the main event brought along a weapon to use in the Hardcore Match. Yumehito Imanari brought a bag of candy to slam his opponents onto, Bambi had her trusty whip, Ai Shimizu carried a kunai and Ken Ohka found a cushion. Needless to say the ring was left in a mess by the end of the match. Ohka Headbutted Imanari, gave him a Brainbuster onto the candy and finished him off with the Spear Of Flame. Ohka was pleased with Ganbare☆Wrestling’s first show in Osaka and marvelled at how far Ganpuro has grown in its 3 years of existence.

Yukihiro Abe got his opportunity to show he was no longer under Minoru Fujita’s control. The former Tomodachi-gun partners held nothing back as they fought each other. Abe reversed a Tombstone Piledriver but Fujita kicked out and succeeded with a second Tombstone to win. Fujita tried to be sympathetic to the Osaka crowd by calling Abe his friend. He claimed he was selfish to split up Tomodachi-gun and it was painful to see how Abe was now all alone. He was responsible for Abe’s growth as a wrestler but he accepts that Abe may not be suitable for the wrestling life. If Abe only wants to wrestle for fun from now on then so be it. Fujita then bid him adieu.

5. KING OF DDT 2016 Contestant Final: Kota Umeda defeated Kouki Iwasaki with the Umeda Driver I (13:57).
6. Daisuke Sasaki & Mad Polly defeated Antonio Honda & Konosuke Takeshita when Sasaki pinned Honda with La Mistica Crossface Lock (17:48).

At the beginning of the show Konosuke Takeshita told everyone that his KO-D Openweight Title shot on 29th May will also be happening on his 21st birthday. His goal is to become the youngest KO-D Champion in history. Daisuke Sasaki then entered the ring in a disguise to attack Takeshita. He kicked him below the belt but was then chased off by Antonio Honda. Sasaki Low Blowed Takeshita again in the main event. He then submitted Honda with La Mistica Crossface Lock. Sasaki tried to give Takeshita the Vietnam Driver II after the match but Takeshita escaped and knocked the champion out of the ring with a Lariat.

Kota Umeda is the first name entering the King Of DDT 2016 after he defeated Kouki Iwasaki in a qualifying match. Umeda was eliminated in the first round of last year’s tournament. He does not want a repeat of that.

Keisuke Ishii was glad to have wrestled with his Monthly Young Communication companions one more time. He was especially happy to be in the ring with Yukihiro Abe again since he wanted to wrestle him before Team Drift disbands. Abe said he would like to wrestle in DDT again if the opportunity is there.

The team of Danshoku Dino, Joey Ryan & Makoto Oishi has been described by Dino as the World’s Nudist Beach (now there’s an image to stick in your head). Late in the match Dino and Oishi positioned their bare asses selves on the turnbuckles and formed what they call the Rafflesia Flower. Ryan stuck his lolly pop into Dino’s ass and then ducked a Big Boot from Saki Akai. Her foot got trapped in between Dino & Oishi’s asses and Ryan stuck the lolly into her mouth. Ryan then rolled Akai into a pin to win the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title! After intermission Ryan talked with Amon Tsurumi and Guanchulo in the ring so he could understand the championship’s rules. Both Guanchulo and Akai tried to ambush him to win the belt but they ended up fighting each other. Akai knocked out Guanchulo with a Big Boot but Ryan then stuck another lolly into her mouth and Super Kicked her to escape with the title.

Dino & Oishi were told after their match that they will get an All Asia Tag Team Titles shot on 12th June. That is the same date as the King Of DDT 2nd Round. Oishi agreed to take the title shot and remove himself from the tournament. Dino decided to call his team with Oishi the Guname Express. He thinks it is a fitting name for them going after the All Asia Tag Titles.

Gota Ihashi’s challenger in the King Of Dark Title match wasn’t decided until right before the match. Both Tsurumi and Sanshiro Takagi were too busy to book a wrestler in the match. They both panicked and told Yumehito Imanari to be challenger. Imanari came down in his normal clothes and suddenly found himself wrestling Ihashi. He was on the verge of winning until a German Suplex went wrong. Ihashi was too heavy and landed on top of Imanari. Ihashi then hit a top rope Moonsault to win and transfer the dark match title to Imanari. Takagi handed Imanari the belt and congratulated him for a good match. He then told him to get back to work.

Tsurumi gave out details about this year’s King Of DDT tournament. It will be a 16-man elimination tournament featuring the DDT roster and the full line-up will be announced on the 29th May Korakuen Hall show. Daisuke Sasaki, Konosuke Takeshita, Danshoku Dino, Makoto Oishi and whoever holds the remaining Right To Challenge Contracts that day are not allowed to enter the tournament. Round 1 takes place on 5th June, Round 2 on 12th June and the remaining rounds on 28th June.

5. Ganbare☆Wrestling Vs Tomodachi-gun: Minoru Fujita & Takafumi Ito defeated Ken Ohka & Shuichiro Katsumura when Fujita pinned Ohka with an Inside Cradle (23:52).

The main event had a lot on the line. Ken Ohka’s entrance music versus Minoru Fujita’s Best Microphone Award from the Dramatic Awards. Fujita played mind games by coming out to “BAD COMMUNICATION” by B’z anyway. His tag partner Takafumi Ito was introduced as a friend of a friend of Fujita which is good enough to gain membership into Tomodachi-gun. Fujita used the referee as a shield to prevent Ohka from doing the Spear Of Flame. The distraction allowed Yukihiro Abe to interfere and attack Ohka with a foreign object. Fujita gave Ohka the Tombstone but he kicked out at two. Another referee distraction had Fujita low blow Ohka and then roll him over with an Inside Cradle. That was enough for the three count. Ohka was left to mourn over losing his beloved entrance song. Fujita added extra salt to the wound by reminding him that he was never authorized to use it.

Shota offered a handshake to Abe after their match but was silently rejected.

Yumehito Imanari was really excited to find out who his opponent was going to be. After wrestling Viper last month he wanted to wrestle an even bigger, bustier woman. Instead he got American Balloon, a former DDT gaijin heavyweight who originally retired from Japanese wrestling back in 2010. Balloon did fit the bill of what Imanari wanted. He is bigger and bustier than Viper. He even used his big man boobs to block a lot of Imanari’s offence. Just like in his match with Viper, Imanari’s defeat came when he tried a German Suplex and ended up getting squashed by his opponent.

Shinichiro Tominaga challenged Hi69 to a match on 14th May.

Ganbare☆Wrestling is celebrating its third anniversary with two shows on the 23rd April.

Ai Shimizu approached Ken Ohka directly to ask if she could join Ganpuro. The former Tokyo Joshi Pro wrestler has attended shows in the past and sees Ganpuro as the next place for her career. She even slapped Ohka to prove how serious she is to join the company. Ohka is now looking to find the best opponent for Shimizu’s first match.

Shibata was originally supposed to be in the opening match teaming with Mitomi Masayuki. Unfortunately Shibata had to pull out of the show due to a double booking. Rainbow Kawamura takes his place. Kawamura was a part of Enjo-gun faction before his injury and transformation. It’s unknown if his new personality will clash with Masayuki.

Yumehito Imanari’s send off match before he competes in THE OUTSIDER ended in a Time Limit Draw. An impromptu tag match took place and ended when Fujita gave Imanari a Tombstone followed by Abe hitting the Isamuashi Zan.

It’s been a while since we’ve heard from Ganbare☆Wrestling. They took November off while Ken Ohka was busy wrestling in DDT.

Yumehito Imanari is entering the upcoming season of THE OUTSIDER. The amateur MMA show promoted by RINGS and Akira Maeda will take place on 13th December in Ota Gymnasium, Tokyo. Imanari has the honour of being the first pro wrestler to be a part of the series. He is entering THE OUTSIDER because he wants to fight with the body and soul of a wrestler.

Ganbare Literally Crashes Union Press Conference

The war between Union and Ganbare☆Wrestling heats up in Miyagi with two matches booked between the two promotions. Mitomi Masayuki admits he is in a complex position because his next match is personal. Masayuki went to the same university as his opponent Yumehito Imanari. Masayuki was a first year student while Imanari was a senior when they were both in the college wrestling club. Back then Imanari wrestled under the name Sakuragaoka Kinteki and Masayuki remembered how much he wanted to become a pro wrestler despite suffering many setbacks. However, Masayuki believes that Imanari is not the person he used to know thanks to Ganbare☆Wrestling. He called Ganpuro a vanity project and he will show Imanari what he lacks as a pro wrestler. Imanari’s response was the wrestling ring is just a square and he asked what will Masayuki do when he takes the fight outside of the square. If Masayuki can only wrestle inside the sqaure then Imanari will end him on the 23rd.

The press conference for the show was literally crashed by Ken Ohka, who arrived late, entered the room on a bicycle and cycled into Seiya Morohashi. Imanari then attacked Morohashi and held him in place so Ohka could cycle into him again.

There was also a discussion about the Fly To Everywhere Title match. The champion Cherry was in attendance but Mio Shirai was unable to appear due to other commitments. So she was represented by a person holding a drawing of a fox in front of their face. “Mio” praised Cherry for being strong, youthful and always shining. “She” asked how to make “her” ageing face look as youthful and Cherry said “she” needed heavy make up. Cherry also brought up the Age Contra Makeup match she and Shirai were supposed to have in May 2012. Shirai wound up getting injured before the match and had to be replaced my Emi Sakura, who beat Cherry and forced her to finally reveal her true date of birth. Cherry said “Mio” ran away from that match and she still resents her for that.

Tsuyoshi Kikuchi returns to Union after a two year absence. Kikuchi retired from wrestling back in August 2012 due to a serious injury adding to his already poor physical condition. He has since found a job at a training company in Miyagi where he still works to this day. Now recovered and with permission from his boss, Kikuchi promises to return to Union with a blast!

Ganbare☆Pro scored a major victory over its invading enemy in the biggest show of its short existence. Ken Ohka, Yumehito Imanari & Tomohiro Otani defeated the team of Osamu Namiguchi, Kazuhiko Ogasawara & Bad Tension TAMAGAWA in the main event. Otani was added to the team when he successfully passed Ohka’s Spear of Flame training, which consisted of being struck once in the abdomen with a flaming torch without being knocked off your feet. The training probably wasn’t the best idea because Otani was taken away by a stretcher and had to wrestle the match with his abdomen covered in medical tape. Yumehito Imanari was the hero of the day. He was the last man standing, eliminating Osamu Namiguchi to win the match for Ganpuro. After the match Imanari told Namiguchi he is not afraid to face him in a singles match. Ken Ohka also announced he will face Bad Tension TAMAGAWA in Shibuya on 30th October. Ohka wants to rehabilitate the man who betrayed him and he wants no interference involved.

J-Soul Pandita III is a large, uncontrollable ape-like creature. Its match with Ultraman Robin was called off when Pandita attacked the referee until Survival Tobita came to the rescue. Ohka decided that Tobita and Pandita will have a match on 30/10.

Gorikiko and Hanako Nakamori both wrestled while wearing Uniqlo branded clothing.

The Public Offer match was answered by three different groups. Ice Ribbon, wrestler Kim Yocchan and micro indy group RAW all answered the call. Ganpuro’s solution was to hold all three matches in the ring at the same time.

1. Kotaro Nasu defeated Fumihito Kihara with a Facelock (3:02).
2. Tanomusaku Toba defeated Yumehito Imanari by Knockout with a Straight Right (5:50).
3. Osamu Namiguchi & Kazuhiko Ogasawara defeated Shinichiro Tominaga & Tomohiro Otani when Namiguchi pinned Otani with the Lanakila-N (9:30).
4. Ken Ohka defeated Ganbare Tamagawa with the Flame Spear (14:10).

Even in defeat, Ganbare Tamagawa has been inspired by Ken Ohka to become stronger. Osamu Namiguchi & Kazuhiko Ogasawara confronted the two wrestlers after their match but was then cut off by Tanomusaku Toba. Toba challenged Ogasawara to a match and offered a handshake. Ogasawara accepted both. Tamagawa however charged at Namiguchi and the two had to be pulled apart. Both Toba Vs Ogasawara and Tamagawa Vs Namiguchi will take place in Saitama on 21st July.

Suddenly, Survival Tobita made a dramatic entrance. He does not take kindly to Ganbare☆Pro coming into his territory. Ohka and Yumehito Imanari challenged Tobita to a tag team match on 21/7. Tobita accepted and said his partner will be a Phantom!

Tomohiro Otani, the failed SMASH trainee was the person with the amateur wrestling background chosen to team with Shinichiro Tominaga to take on Osamu Namiguchi & Kazuhiko Ogasawara. Unfortunately for Otani, Namiguchi was too strong for him.

Lady Steel appeared demanding to know why she wasn’t booked for the show. She wants to be the Cinderella of Ganbare☆Wrestling and will beat anyone for the title. Ken Ohka gave her a new name, Gorikiko (meaning “Herculean Strength Steel”) and announced she will face Tsukasa Fujimoto on 21/7.

Even though Yumehito Imanari was knocked out, he told Tanomusaku Toba after their match that he had fun and wanted to wrestle him one more time. He even began to cry when he asked for the rematch.

Fumihito Kihara injured his left elbow during the opener.

Shota Vs Crusher Takahashi will happen at the 21/7 event.

1. Tatsuhiko Yoshino defeated L.A. DIVINE by Disqualification when DIVINE kissed the referee (5:50).
2. Nana Kawasa defeated Lady Steel with a School Boy (1:45).
3. Fumihito Kihara defeated Yumehito Imanari with (10:55).
4. Osamu Namiguchi & Kazuhiko Ogasawara defeated Ken Ohka & Ganbare Tamagawa when Namiguchi pinned Ogasawara with the Lanakila N (7:37).

Osamu Namiguchi challenged Ken Ohka to a singles match for the 2nd June show. Ohka also challenged Kazuhiko Ogasawara on behalf of Yumehito Imanari and encouraged Imanari to break his losing streak.

Nana Kawasa Vs L.A. DIVINE was cancelled when Divine refused to fight “such a pretty girl” and wanted to fight a man instead. Tatsuhiko Yoshino from Guts World accepted the challenge. DIVINE grabbed Yoshino’s crotch during the match and then deeply kissed the referee when he tried to stop her. The ref claimed he was assaulted and disqualified her. DIVINE then demanded she wanted to do a sexy boy so it was decided she will face Shinichiro Tominaga on 2nd June.
