Talk about coming up with a creative solution when your back is against the wall. Tokyo Joshi Pro’s idea for their replacement show in the Ochanomizu Dojo is a massive one day tournament. They even got a sponsor for it! The winner receives a meal ticket for Genghis Khan Kirishima, a lamb meat restaurant located near Korakuen Hall.

From the 1st Round to the end of the Quarter Finals, all matches have a 5 minute time limit with 2 Count Pin rules. In the case of a tie, the winner is determined with a game of Rock, Paper, Scissors.

The Semi Finals have a 5 minute time limit with regular 3 Count Pin rules. In the case of a tie, the match restarts with sudden death One Count Pin rules.

The Final is a 10 minute time limit with regular 3 Count Pin rules. In the case of a tie, the match restarts with sudden death One Count Pin rules.

Sometimes when plans fall apart, creative ideas get to shine. DDT’s solution for cancelling a bunch of shows over fears of the Coronavirus was to record replacement shows in their own dojo. No fans were allowed in so it was all done to be shown live on DDT UNIVERSE.

One of the wrestlers who struggled to wrestle in an empty venue was HARASHIMA. He usually feeds off of the cheering fans. He gathered some momentum thanks to guys like Makoto Oishi and Naomi Yoshimura chanting his name in the background but it just wasn’t the same. Things were looking bleak until “Toru Owashi” entered the room and handed a pair of headphones to HARASHIMA. He put them on and could suddenly hear cheering fans! He went back into the ring like a house on fire but he missed a High Kick and struck Oishi by accident. Daisuke Sasaki then caught Oishi in the Crossface Lock for the submission victory.

Hiroshi Yamato said he was grateful to wrestle today because one of the cancelled shows was supposed to be at his hometown in Chiba. He wants to show the fans that all of the wrestlers will take the initiative and stand in their place one way or another.

Today’s show was also taking place on Akito’s birthday. His birthday gift was a moment to stare lovingly into Tetsuya Endo’s eyes while he was being stretched in the Yurikamome hold. After the match Endo was asked if he felt Akito’s love during that moment. Endo said he only loves his stag and kabuto beetles.

Nautilus seemed to have a better time than others with adjusting to the quiet atmosphere. Yuki Ueno said he could feel the fan support in his heart. Today’s match against Konosuke Takeshita & Shunma Katsumata was just what he needed. His trips with the DDT Sauna Club lately have felt too well organised and he can’t feel comfortable in the ring if he doesn’t feel tired from working hard.

CDK won a close one over Eruption. The end saw Kazusada Higuchi save Saki Akai from the Praying Mantis Bomb by hitting Chris Brookes with a Lariat. Akai went for the Quetzalcoatl but Masahiro Takanashi grabbed Brookes’s hand to block the move. He then distracted Akai by pinching her nose. Brooke rolled on top of Akai with a Jackknife to grab the win.

The opening match was as lewd as Danshoku Dieno wanted it to be. He was confused during his entrance because there was nobody around to kiss. Keigo Nakamura challenged Dieno to face off with him, declaring that he will try to win the KO-D Openweight Title in the shortest career time in history. Dieno did his thing with Nakamura, Yuki Iino got involved too. On the ring apron, Dieno lifted Nakamura up for a Power Bomb but it was to pass him over to Yukio Naya to do the match winning Brainbuster. Dieno & Naya call this double team move the Grand Cross From Hell.

The contract for the Princess Tag Team Titles match was signed at the beginning of yesterday’s show. Raku is excited to have a title match and wants to be taken to a world she has never seen before. Maki Itoh is happy to have somebody as pure as Raku teaming with her. She will bring the colour of Itoh out of Raku. Miu Watanabe is still feeling frustrated over losing to Raku recently. The result makes her want to spring into defending the tag titles. Rika Tatsumi started a fight with Itoh which is stronger, Tatsumi’s “diamond hips” or Itoh’s “big head”. Tatsumi is also still bitter over losing a singles match to Itoh last year.

After being away from the KO-D Openweight Title scene for a while, Konosuke Takeshita is excited to be chosen as the next challenger. He remembers his dad once renting an FMW video tape with Tanaka’s matches on it. Ever since then Takeshita has followed Tanaka’s career. Now his name will be written into the Reiwa era of Tanaka’s wrestling history. Tanaka was honored to hear this but he still thinks he will beat Takeshita. He is from the land of athletes worthy of being athletes because of his background with Gold’s Gym. When the match takes place, Tanaka will make the fans think he is still strong. He named the four wrestlers he thinks are the symbols of DDT: HARASHIMA, Tetsuya Endo, Daisuke Sasaki and Konosuke Takeshita. Tanaka is one win away from having a clean sweep against all of them.

Sasaki briefly stole the DDT UNIVERSAL Title right after Chris Brookes became the first champion. He gave the belt back and apologised for his thievery. He promised to reflect on his actions and will only claim the title belt by winning it as an athlete. Brookes does not believe Sasaki is being honest. He thinks Sasaki is strange like an old dog. His promise is to put Sasaki out of his misery and maybe even stab him. Brookes warned that their match for the UNIVERSAL Title will not be a true representation of his ring skill. It will be a dirty match on both sides.

A lot more is happening on this show. Naomichu Marufuji returns to wrestle for DISASTER BOX, the Business Alliance of DAMNATION & #STRONGHEARTS are pitted against the newest DDT unit Eruption and 19 year old Hideki Okatani has his debut match.

1. Ganpro World Tryout: Shin Suzuki defeated E10 with the Besitanic (8:53).
2. Ganpro Specialty Special 3 Way Match ~HARUKAZE’s Close Call~: Kuishinbo Kamen & Kuishinbo Kamen (Shota) defeated HARUKAZE by Disqualification when HARUKAZE unmasked both Kamens (7:59).
3. Ganpro & GanJo Special Mixed Tag Match: Shuichiro Katsumura & Moeka Haruhi defeated Shinichiro Tominaga & Asuka when Katsumura submitted Tominaga with a Cross Armbreaker (12:29).
4. Ganpro Vs TTT Full Battle: Ken Ohka defeated Guts Ishijima with the Fire Spear (7:41).
5. Ganpro Vs Pro Wrestling BASARA Full Battle: Kouki Iwasaki & Washi Sakurai defeated Ryuichi Sekine & Tetsuo Usui when Iwasaki submitted Usui with a Texas Cloverleaf (12:56).
6. Independent World Jr. Heavyweight Title: Keisuke Ishii (c) defeated Yumehito Imanari by TKO with the Double Arm Neck Lock (22:48).

A never say die attitude from Yumehito Imanari led to him having the match of his life. After a hard fight for over 20 minutes, Keisuke Ishii gave Imanari the Tiger Driver. Imanari didn’t respond so the referee began a 10 count. Imanari was able to get back to his feet on time but he couldn’t defend himself against Ishii’s next attacks. When the Double Arm Neck Lock was applied, Imanari was motionless and the match was called. Ishii has achieved the 5th defence of his current Independent World Jr. Heavyweight Title reign. He gave Imanari credit and called him a wonderful pro wrestler.

Kouki Iwasaki came out to challenge Ishii next. He said Ishii always wins and that has made Ganbare☆Wrestling really boring. They are usually a tag team but Iwasaki wants to win the title from Ishii and stand in the middle of the ring as a symbol of Ganpro’s strength! Ishii reached out for a handshake but found himself ducking a High Kick from Iwasaki! Iwasaki left the ring smiling.

Washi Sakurai and Ryuichi Sekine had to be pulled apart after Match #5. They kept trying to attack each other even after Iwasaki had submitted Tetsuo Usui.

The feud between Ganpro and what’s left of the Real GUTS Army can be put to rest. Ken Ohka defeated Guts Ishijima in a clean and decisive manner.

Shuichiro Katsumura & Moeka Haruhi are continuing to dress up in THE HALFEE costumes and perform a song for their entrance. Asuka hit a big Moonsault onto them out of the ring. But back in the ring Katsumura caught Shinichiro Tominaga in a Cross Armbreaker. Tominaga tried to fight out of it until Haruhi landed a Double Stomp on him. Katsumura then tightened the Armbreaker until Tominaga gave up.

Shota disguised himself as Kuishinbo Kamen by wearing a similar looking mask. However he also wore a grey tracksuit instead of a costume similar to Kamen’s. After a collision with the Daisuke Kiso, Shota unmasked the real Kamen and threw the mask to HARUKAZE. Shota acted like he was also unmasked, despite still wearing a mask. When Kiso got back up he saw HARUKAZE holding the mask and disqualified her, rewarding the match to both of her opponents. HARUKAZE sat down in a chair to protest the result but the two Kamens lifted the chair out of the room with her still sitting on it.

The visiting E10 was described as “Now on honeymoon” during his introduction. Unfortunately he lost his match to Shin Suzuki so let’s hope the wife wasn’t around to see that.

At the start of the show Asuka announced she will be regularly wrestling in Ganpro starting from today.

1. Hiroshi Yamato defeated Keigo Nakamura with a Half Crab Hold (6:54).
2. Soma Takao & Mad Paulie defeated Kazuki Hirata & Yukio Naya when Takao pinned Hirata with the Gin And Tonic (10:02).
3. 3 Way Tag Match: Daisuke Sasaki & Tetsuya Endo defeated Kazusada Higuchi & Yukio Sakaguchi and Yuki Iino & Mizuki Watase when Endo pinned Watase with the Swivel Torture Rack Bomb (12:37).
4. Saki Akai “Okibariyasu” 7 Match Series – 4th Match – Rocky Of Naniwa II Vs Human Torpedo II: Saki Akai defeated Miranda Gordy with the Quetzalcoatl (6:53).
5. DDT Senbatsu-gun Vs Nagoya & Kengo Takai-gun: HARASHIMA, Toru Owashi & Makoto Oishi defeated Kengo Takai, Intelligence Sensational Grand Passion Mask #4 & Hiroaki Ura when HARASHIMA pinned Ura with the Somato (11:23).
6. Chris Brookes, Masahiro Takanashi & MAO defeated Konosuke Takeshita, Akito & Shunma Katsumata when Brookes pinned Katsumata with the Praying Mantis Bomb (12:14).
7. KO-D Tag Team Titles: Yuki Ueno & Naomi Yoshimura (c) defeated Danshoku Dieno & Super Sasadango Machine when Yoshimura pinned Sasadango with a Lariat (19:14).

There was havoc caused in the KO-D Tag Team Title match when the referees kept getting wiped out. Yukinori Matsui got knocked away several times forcing Tomomitsu Matsunaga to come in as a substitute. He got knocked down as well so no referee was around to count any pins. Danshoku Dieno & Super Sasadango Machine called in their secret weapon. It was the third referee DJ Nira! He was on their side and tried to win them the Tag Titles. Matsui recovered and counted a pin for Nautilus but Nira stopped him with an Elbow Drop. Matsui gave Nira a Lariat and took back control of the match. The challengers got rid of Yuki Ueno and gave Naomi Yoshimura a double team Danshoku Driver for a nearfall. Sasadango pulled off his mask in frustration and went in for the kill. But Yoshimura overpowered him and hit a Lariat for the three count.

After the match Ueno said that the last time DDT was supposed to be in Nagoya he, Yoshimura & HARASHIMA were meant to challenge for the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles. A typhoon postponed the show so that match never happened. Today Ueno & Yoshimura were able to give Nagoya a tag title match in a different form. That makes them glad. Ueno said they will next defend the titles against The Moonlight Express. However Hisaya Imabayashi has not decided on the date for that match yet.

Makoto Oishi complained that the Nagoya team were too noisy making their introductions so he and Toru Owashi taped Hiroaki Ura’s mouth shut. Intelligence Sensational Grand Passion Mask #4 got revenge by whispering the word “Divorce” into Oishi’s ear at every opportunity to drive him mad. He also targeted Owashi’s nipples. HARASHIMA and Kengo Takai were the only ones acting normally. They simply told each other “long time no see” before they wrestled.

The Okibariyasu trial is now at 2 wins and 2 losses after Saki Akai defeated Miranda Gordy. Akai said she wants to win her remaining three matches so she and Eruption can make DDT even bigger.
