Simply getting the winning pinfall in the main event isn’t enough for Shoko Nakajima. She’s noticed that something has been missing from her career and that is a rival. A rival would give her the extra push needed to become the best so she challenged Yuu to a TOKYO Princess Of Princess Title match. However Akane Miura stepped in and said she knows she can beat Yuu and she wants to prove it at Korakuen Hall! Then Miyu Yamashita entered the conversation claiming to want the belt the most out of anyone. It was decided that a 3 Way Match between Nakajima, Miura and Yamashita will take place on 20th November to determine who faces Yuu for the title at Korakuen on 4th January.

Azusa Takigawa is hard at work looking for a fiance. She wants to get on Samurai! TV and Shukan Puroresu magazine to spread the message. Nonoko’s plan to help is to film a promotional DVD of Takigawa relaxing in a hot spring and then sell it on Amazon.

Maki Itoh Vs Reika Saiki is booked for the 4th Janaury show. Also announced to appear are Candice LeRae and Laura James.

The Drop Kick Bar defeated Ebisuko Tavern in a death match that featured a fire extinguisher. Late in the match, Gota Ihashi interfered on behalf of Team Ebisuko but Isami Kodaka sprayed him with the extinguisher to get rid of him. Kodaka then dove onto KUDO outside the ring, leaving Ryota Nakatsu to finish off Kouki Iwasaki. There was no bad blood between the wrestlers and they came together at the end of the show to bring in the new DDT Foods banner that both restaurants are now a part of. Kodaka & Nakatsu also promoted the BASARA show in Korakuen Hall on 25th December.

DDT’s first music festival put together a mixture of pro wrestling and pop music concerts. There were many, many, many musical acts performing throughout the day so I’m just going to focus on the wrestling portion of the show.

The main event was Shigehiro Irie’s first match back in DDT since he left for an American excursion back in July. Irie teamed with Konosuke Takeshita to take on HARASHIMA & Yukio Sakaguchi. Irie’s time away wrestling in another country looks to have paid off because he ended up beating one of the headliners for “OSAKA OCTOPUS 2016”! He and Takeshita celebrated by inviting musician Kenji Ohtsuki into the ring. Irie requested for Ohtsuki to make him a new entrance song. Ohtsuki said if Sanshiro Takagi is willing to pay him an exorbitant price, he can get to working on the song.

Kota Ibushi also returned to DDT for a big 8-Man Tag Team Falls Count Anywhere match against DAMNATION. This was Ibushi and Daisuke Sasaki’s first match together since they were part of the Golden☆Storm Riders. The match began away from the ring and near the stage. In fact, NωA were on stage ready to perform their new song when the other wrestlers came by and literally kicked them off the stage to continue their match. Ibushi and Mad Paulie squared off by spraying each other with cola. The match then spread over to a nearby swimming pool. Paulie intercepted Takagi’s Combat Bicycle but wound up cycling into the pool. Sasaki & Tetsuya Endo then Suplexed Ibushi in with Gota Ihashi joining when he tried to stop them. Back near the ring Endo Moonsaulted from a handrail while Sasaki and Ibushi fought up to a second floor balcony. Sasaki grabbed Ibushi’s arm, stood on the balcony and did the Jinsei Shinzaki rope walk across the rail! Meanwhile Kazusada Higuchi jumped off the VIP seat area to splash Paulie through a table! Shuji Ishikawa directed the match back to the ring where he fought with Takagi. Eventually Ihashi found himself in a 1 Vs 4 predicament against all of DAMNATION. He had no chance and was given the Splash Mountain followed by the Sky Twister Press to end a chaotic match. Surprisingly it turns out Sasaki and Ibushi still get along. Sasaki said it’s been a year since they last saw each other and he didn’t know what Ibushi was up to until he checked the internet. Meanwhile he conquered DDT with the kingdom of DAMNATION. Sasaki wished Ibushi the best and they shook hands.

Antonio Honda was sidelined with love-sickness and unable to compete. Luckily A.YAZAWA was brought in to replace him. YAZAWA was accompanied by the Bed Inn Girls while Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi had Akira Shimizu in his corner. It was a Rock ‘N’ Roll Death Match where everyone had to stop wrestling and dance whenever music was played. The Bed Inn Girls stripped down to their swimsuits to distract Hiroshi but Shimizu’s own music then played. His live singing made Hiroshi concentrate and win the match.

The members of DISH// helped fight off Danshoku Dino with Dropkicks after Match #5. Dino claimed before the show that one of the band would betray the others. The guilty party admitted to this and ran off being chased by the others.

Throughout the show NωA’s musical performance kept on getting interrupted. Not only did the Falls Count Anywhere match push them away but Yoshihiro Takayama’s entrance cut off their original set too. NωA declared they will finally sing their new song after they beat Takayama’s team. That didn’t happen. Instead Kazuki Hirata placed his HIRATA GO! glasses on Takayama and the giant gave Big Boots to all NωA members on route to victory. However there was a happy ending for NωA. At the very end of the show they came out and got to sing their new song “Going My ωay!! ~You Are Not Alone~”.

The wrestlers in Match #3 were all at the mercy of the Kinnikuman character Stecase King. He was the DJ for the match and would play different theme songs throughout the match. The wrestlers were powerless to the music and found themselves mimicking the wrestlers associated with the famous theme songs. Kikutaro transformed into Stan Hansen and Jumbo Tsuruta while Yoshihiko became a shoot wrestler when the UWF Theme was played. It then did some high flying spots during “Sky High”. The match ended when “Honō no Fighter” came on and everyone on KUDO’s team applied the Manjigatame to their opponents until they submitted.

Gorgeous Matsuno tried to be a leader and told LiLiCo he would teach their opponents “the rigours of professional wrestling”. That was easier said than done. Cherry was in a sour mood and told Guanchulo to kill the “old hag” LiLiCo. Some miscommunication caused Cherry and Guanchulo to hit each other and Matsuno caught Guanchulo in a School Boy to win.

Toru Owashi, Saki Akai & Nobuhiro Shimatani came out with new looks to fit in with the band Kameleo in the opener. Their opponents came out looking macho because they were accompanied by the Macho 29. Lady Beard had to leave early to go prepare for a live NHK interview so the Macho 29 team had to fight a 2 Vs 3 disadvantage. Sanshiro Takagi eventually came to the rescue to big fanfare but an accidental Lariat to Seiya Morohashi cost them the match.

7. Saku Specialty! Chikuma River Summer Time Special 6-Man Tag Team Match: Toru Owashi, HARASHIMA & Yoshihiro Takayama defeated Konosuke Takeshita, Antonio Honda & Shiro Koshinaka when Owashi pinned Honda with the Diving Body Press (17:51).

This was DDT’s second show in Nagano since Toru Owashi was hired as the company’s sale manager for the region. His team were rewarded with boxes of apples, chocolate and chanko-nabe from Owashi’s family restaurant for winning the main event. Owashi wondered if the prizes were just a variety of stuff taken from his home. He got the win with his old finishing move the Diving Body Press.

DAMNATION survived a close call against Shuten-dōji but they escaped with the KO-D Tag Team Titles still in their grasps. Daisuke Sasaki’s Swandive Elbow hit Tetsuya Endo instead of their opponents. KUDO would have then won with a Sandwich PK followed by the Diving Double Knee Drop to Sasaki but Endo stopped the referee from counting to three. Yukio Sakaguchi hit Endo with the Right Knee Of God while KUDO readied Sasaki for a Buzzsaw Kick. Sasaki ducked the kick and caught KUDO with the Sasaki Hurricanrana for the flash pin. DAMNATION were rewarded with liquor for winning but Sasaki cut off the ceremony to make a demand. He refused to do anymore Tag Title defences and wants DAMNATION to be declared the permanent champions! Konosuke Takeshita & Antonio Honda came forth to throw out a challenge. Takeshita wants a tag title shot but it won’t be with Honda. It will be with “Speedball” Mike Bailey! Sasaki refused but GM Amon Tsurumi confirmed the match will got ahead in Osaka on 4th December. Takeshita warned the champions that both him and Bailey are coming for revenge on DAMNATION!

The last time Danshoku Dino wrestled in Saku he successfully transformed the area into a Gay Town. This time he wanted to rename the chanko-nabe recipe created by Toru Owashi’s family into something too lewd for me to understand. Kouki Iwasaki objected to this and vowed to protect the restaurant from Dino. Unfortunately for Iwasaki he got his face smushed into Dino’s backside and was then pinned by Keisuke Ishii. Dino proudly called out the recipe’s new lewd name after the match.

Today’s show was a special occasion for Mizuki Watase because he got to wrestle in his hometown. Watase almost pinned Akito with some help from Kazusada Higuchi but Yasu Urano pulled the referee out of the ring mid-count. The distraction allowed Akito to recover and beat Watase with the Hanamasa, spoiling the hometown hero’s return.

Nobuhiro Shimatani continues his losing streak against Daiki Shimomura. Even worse he is still the King Of Dark Champion.

7. Road To DAIICHI Special Tag Match: Daisuke Sasaki & Shuji Ishikawa defeated HARASHIMA & Yasu Urano when Ishikawa pinned Urano with the Splash Mountain (15:47).

The first skirmish between Shuji Ishikawa and HARASHIMA in the lead up to “OSAKA OCTOPUS 2016” ended in Ishikawa’s favour. He and Daisuke Sasaki got rid of HARASHIMA and overwhelmed Yasu Urano to come out victorious in the main event. Ishikawa tried to be polite and respectful on the microphone but Sasaki Dropkicked him. He then yelled at Ishikawa not to act like a babyface.

Days away from their KO-D Tag Team Titles match, Shuten-dōji got an early victory over DAMNATION when KUDO & Yukio Sakaguchi defeated Tetsuya Endo & Mad Paulie. Both KUDO and Sakaguchi were fascinated by wrestling Mad Paulie. Sakaguchi said it was tiring to fight him because he is so big and heavy. He thinks that means fighting Daisuke Sasaki in the title match will be easier because he is smaller and lighter.

Yoshihiro Takayama & Kazusada Higuchi gave Kuishinbo Kamen a Double Choke Slam. Antonio Honda checked on Kamen afterwards and said he didn’t have a pulse. He needed help quick! Both Takayama and Higuchi carried Kamen away from the ring to get medical aid, abandoning their partner Guanchulo in the process. That gave Honda and Konosuke Takeshita an easy path to victory. It turns out Kamen was faking it to distract Takayama and Higuchi.

Saki Akai and Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi came out for there match dressed in Halloween costumes. Akai was a witch and Hiroshi was the Statue Of Liberty. Unfortunately for Akai she was pinned by Danshoku Dino. Not a good start for her in their build towards the DDT Extreme Title match next month. Dino asked her if she wants to continue her struggle. Akai said she does. Dino stomped on her and said the “Wrestling Mentalist” will treat her ailing heart. After he left Hiroshi tried to cheer Akai up by singing. LiLiCo came out and Dropkicked Hiroshi out of the way. LiLiCo came here just to tell Akai that she and Aja Kong will kill her at “OSAKA OCTOPUS 2016”.

Videos were aired throughout the show about Sanshiro Takagi trying to contact Hyota Echizenya. Takagi wants the entertainer to produce the opening video for “OSAKA OCTOPUS 2016” but he had no idea how to get in touch with him. Searching his name in Google brought up a trivia fact from 2004 that Echizenya is often seen cycling around Shinjuku. That’s odd, DDT’s office is in Shinjuku but Takagi has never seen Mr. Echizenya cycling in the area. The videos showed Takagi looking around completely unaware of the times Mr. Echizenya passes him by until he finally recognises him in the middle of a crosswalk. Takagi was able to recognise him because Mr. Echizenya’s long coat had a full size kotatsu table attached to it. Takagi tried to convince him to come to the show but he was scared off when the traffic lights changed and traffic came towards them. Back at the show Mr. Echizenya appeared at ringside but Takagi again scared him off. Takagi caught him backstage and successfully convinced him to produce the video.

DNA rookie Yuki Ueno announced he will wrestle in his home prefecture of Osaka for the first time at “OSAKA OCTOPUS 2016”. Another new trainee will also make his debut at the show. Naomi Yoshimura is 21 years old and from Hirano City, Osaka. He as a background in judo.

Shigehiro Irie greeted the audience at the beginning of the show. He gave the same speech from Korakuen Hall last weekend about his time spent wrestling in America and his return to the DDT ring on 4th December.

4. IRON FIST TAG TOURNAMENT – Semi Final: defeated Ryuichi Sekine & Ryota Nakatsu when Tsukamoto pinned Sekine with the Tiger Suplex (12:21).
5. Ikuto Hidaka defeated Daichi Kazato with the Stray High Kick (12:41).

The final rounds of the IRON FIST TAG TOURNAMENT were the focus for today. IRON PRIEST defeated Hiroshi du Soleil in the first semi-final. Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi & SAGAT apologised for losing the match. Hiroshi said SAGAT would take time off to rest and will return at next month’s Tavern Wrestling show. This was news to SAGAT. In the other semi-final Isami Kodaka & Takumi Tsukamoto defeated Cavalry. In the final Kodaka & Tsukamoto won to become the first winners of the IRON FIST TAG TOURNAMENT! They were given a giant golden fist trophy as their prize. Kodaka looked at the trophy and admitted it was probably a stupid decision to have this thing made. He then brought up the upcoming BASARA show in Korakuen Hall on 25th December. Every day he is anxious over that show but he is putting forth all his effort to get a sell out crowd. One idea he has is to be a champion. So he and Tsukamoto are challenging Ikuto Hidaka & Hayato Jr. Fujita to an NWA International Lightweight Tag Team Titles match!

Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi interrupted the victory celebrations so he could confront Kodaka. Hiroshi brought up him beating Kodaka to win Heaven Summit ~Itadaki~ back in June. Since then Hiroshi has been undefeated in BASARA singles matches and is currently on a 12 match streak without being pinned or submitted. He thinks that makes him deserving of being a champion. He demanded a championship match. Kodaka didn’t understand until Hiroshi jogged his memory. Kodaka then remembered he still has the Union MAX Championship kept in storage next to the front door of his house! The belt was originally retired on the same night as Union Pro’s final show. They both agreed to revive the championship and have a match to determine the new champion on Christmas Day!

Yuu’s first defence of the TOKYO Princess Of Princess Title was successful but proved to be more of a challenge than she thought. Rika Tatsumi had only begun to win matches consistently in the last couple of months, leading to her getting a crack at the title. However she came prepared with her own focus on submissions to combat Yuu’s judo ability. While Tatsumi threw some Hip Attacks to knock back Yuu, she also targeted her leg with Dropkicks and Dragon Screws so she could apply an effective Figure Four Leg Lock. Yuu resisted this and applied the Katahajime for the submission victory. Yuu said she was really happy with the match because it brings her one step closer to defending the title on 4th January, the one year anniversary of her debut match.

Miyu Yamashita defeated Marika Kobashi in Kobashi’s final match for the time being. Kobashi will now prepare for her high school entry exams. Yamashita said she originally thought Kobashi was too young when she first began training due to how tough it is. However she was proven wrong and she is happy to be part of Kobashi’s send off. She then advised Kobashi to concentrate on her exams because they are terribly hard. Kobashi hopes to return if she passes the exams.

There’s been a theme running through all of the DDT family throughout 2016 and it is marriage. A lot of wrestlers and staff members have been getting married or at least engaged this year. Azusa Takigawa has noticed this and also noticed the wrestlers who have gotten married have also become stronger as a result. She interrupted the opening speeches so she could plead with the Genral Manager Tetsuya Koda to drop the “No relationships” rule from Tokyo Joshi Pro. Takigawa wants to go out matchmaking so she can find a husband, get married and become stronger! Koda told her now wasn’t the time to talk about this. Later when Takigawa had her match with Nonoko, Takigawa was put in a Scorpion Deathlock. Instead of reaching for the ropes Takigawa instead reached for a microphone so she could again plead to Koda to drop the “no relationships” rule while she was in the Scorpion Deathlock! After the match Nonoko was impressed by Takigawa’s passion. Not for wrestling but for finding a husband. Nonoko said she was a teenager until just recently (yeah right!) and she never imagined wanting to go matchmaking at Takigawa’s age. She wants to help Takigawa and offered to team with her in the ring. Takigawa accepted, together they will find the truth of love!

Maki Itoh from the idol group LinQ announced she will be wrestling for DDT on 11th December and after that will debut for Tokyo Joshi on 4th January. She is thrilled by her plans to do both idol work and wrestling. She also said she has great respect for Danshoku Dino. It was then revealed that Itoh’s opponent on 4th January will by Miyu Yamashita. According to Yamashita she has been keeping a close eye on Itoh’s training ever since it began back in July. She noticed Itoh has been working very hard so she is happy to be her first opponent in Tokyo Joshi. She asked Itoh to come at her at full force when they wrestle.

The literal doll faced ring announcer and “World’s First Animated Idol Chick” Minami Momochi recently revealed she will be graduating from Tokyo Joshi Pro on 4th January next year. She said over the last three and a half years she watched Tokyo Joshi and their wrestlers grow. She feels now is the time for herself to move on if she too wants to advance.

2. NωA Vs DDT Ramen & Ebisuko Allies: Makoto Oishi & MAO defeated Akito & Gota Ihashi when MAO pinned Ihashi with the Never Give Up☆Guillotine Drop (10:01).

Bad weather did little to dampen NωA’s excitement for this outdoor show. They performed their second single “Going My Way!!! ~You Are Not Alone~” to a live audience for the first time. Shunma Katsumata wrote the lyrics, MAO composed the music and Makoto Oishi planned the choreography. When the performance was over Oishi & MAO took part in a Falls Count Anywhere match against Akito & Gota Ihashi. Before the match began Ihashi asked Oishi why was he acting like an idol when he is old enough to be MAO’s uncle? He then made up some new lyrics making fun of NωA. That sparked a fight that went into the crowd before returning to the mat area. MAO hit his leap frog Never Give Up☆Guillotine Drop on Ihashi for the three count. NωA ended the show with an encore of “Going My Way!!! ~You Are Not Alone~”.

A day before Rika Tatsumi challenges for the TOKYO Princess Of Princess Title she scored a submission victory over the scary rookie Maho Kurone. Tatsumi appealed to the crowd to come see her win Tokyo Joshi Pro’s championship in Yokohama tomorrow.

As the runner-up of this year’s DDT Dramatic General Election, Danshoku Dino received a KO-D Openweight Title shot against Shuji Ishikawa. It’s a situation Dino has been in before, earning KO-D Title matches through popularity contests. However each time Dino came up short and today was no different. Dino targeted Ishikawa’s legs by applying Crab Holds and an STF. Ishikawa fired back with Knee Lifts and even added insult to injury by attempting a Danshoku Nightmare to Dino. The champion of course hit his Headbutts but Dino responded with a middle finger and a Headbutt of his own! Dino wore down Ishikawa with the Sliding Lip Lock, hit the Danshoku Driver and rolled him over with the Gay-do Clutch but Ishikawa kicked out! A Rainmaker Lip Lock was countered with an Elbow Strike. The Danshoku Driver was countered into the Fire Thunder. All seemed lost for Dino but he wouldn’t give up and continued to flip off Ishikawa. Sadly a Running Knee Strike and Rainmaker Headbutt took away the last of Dino’s energy and Ishikawa won with the Giant Driver. Ishikawa stood proud of himself for beating DDT’s icon. Dino gave him one more middle finger before collapsing. Ishikawa moved forward to shake Dino’s hand but Daisuke Sasaki kicked him away so he could rub the victory in Dino’s face. HARASHIMA then showed up to congratulate the champion. He said he will face Ishikawa for the title at Osaka Edion Arena #1 in December and he will beat him fair and square! Ishikawa said he will beat HARASHIMA because he is the strongest in pro wrestling. Sasaki interrupted him again to close out the show.

The annual Rock Paper Scissors tournament took place with a DDT Extreme Title shot on the line. Saki Akai was the last woman standing beating out Shunma Katsumata in the final. Akai will face Dino for the belt at the 23rd November Korakuen Hall show. Akai said after that night she will be walking down the runway with the championship belt wrapped around her!

HARASHIMA Vs Tetsuya Endo began with HARASHIMA Dropkicking his opponent out of the ring. However Endo took the opportunity to hide away from HARASHIMA and lure him outside. Endo snuck back into the ring behind HARASHIMA’s back and then dove onto him with a No Touch Topé. Endo stomped on HARASHIMA back in the ring, mockingly calling him “Ace” as he did so. The match went back and forth with Endo cutting off HARASHIMA through Dragon Screws. Endo got a nearfall with the Torture Rack Bomb then went for the Sky Twister Press. HARASHIMA rolled out of the way and countered with the Somato. He was too tired to go for the pin but a second Somato later was enough to put Endo away.

Due to their opportunistic personalities, both Daisuke Sasaki and Masahiro Takanashi were careful not to make any mistakes while wrestling each other. Sasaki forced Takanashi to sit on a chair at ringside so he could go for his Super Diving Elbow but Takanashi cut him off by throwing the chair at him as he climbed the turnbuckles. Sasaki later countered the Takatonic into the Cross Facelock but that itself was countered into a Cradle for a two count. Sasaki pushed Takanashi into the referee and used the distraction to hit the Vietnam Driver II for the three count.

Part of the card had to be reshuffled when Super Sasadango Machine was unable to wrestle due to poor physical condition. Ken Ohka now had to wrestle Konosuke Takeshita. Ohka brought out a barbed wire baseball bat and used it to choke Takeshita. However Ohka was given a taste of his own medicine when Takeshita gave him the Blue Thunder Bomb onto the bat! Ohka kicked out of that but he couldn’t kick out of the German Suplex afterwards. Takeshita thanked Ohka for the match because they both have the same goals. Ohka disagreed and thinks they are on different paths, Ohka only does things the Ganbare way!

With Takeshita moved over to fave Ohka, Antonio Honda now had to team with Kazusada Higuchi for his match against Shuten-dōji. Honda stopped the match so he could show off his new ballet skills. He went to see The Nutcracker the night before and has been practicing ever since. As he tried to dance he hit KUDO and Yukio Sakaguchi with Brain Chops. Shuten-dōji got their payback by kicking the hell out of him. They’re now looking forward to winning the KO-D Tag Team Titles in Nagano on 3rd November.

The rivalry between former teammates Soma Takao and Keisuke Ishii is heating up now that the AJPW Jr. Title is involved. Ishii recently became the No. 1 Contender for the championship and he will get his shot in All Japan on 27th November. Ishii thinks their title match is the culmination of their time spent in All Japan over the last three years. Soma got the better of him here with a Thrust Kick. Then he pinned Yasu Urano with the Gin And Tonic while Akito kept Ishii at bay.

I don’t know if you noticed but Saki Akai and Cherry don’t like each other. Cherry refused to shake Akai’s hand before their match and instead attacked her. After some stomping and hair pulling the match properly begun. Cherry won the match but Akai got a little bit of revenge by Dropkicking Cherry out of the ring afterwards.

Toru Owashi took time out of the opening bout to complain that T2Hide weren’t being invited to perform as idols at “DDT FES 2016”. While he complained, NωA took advantage and pinned Kazuki Hirata. When the match was over Makoto Oishi called Sanshiro Takagi into the ring. If NωA wasn’t going to be added to “DDT FES 2016” then he will quit the group! Takagi told him the group was originally set up so they could be a part of the festival. Oishi’s threat showed just how serious he took his role so Takagi agreed to add them to the festival! NωA then performed “Never Give Up☆I LOVE YOU”. They also have a second song in the works.

The last change to the card involved adding Rekka to the dark match. Rekka took Higuchi’s place in the match, teaming with Mizuki Watase against Yuko Miyamoto & Mad Paulie. Miyamoto patted Paulie like a pet when they won the match.

Shigehiro Irie made his first appearance in DDT since his excursion to America back in July. Irie spoke about how he gained experience in USA that he could not have gotten in Japan. He got to wrestle against people who are more his size like Colt Cabana, Chris Hero and Tommy Dreamer. While Irie’s first match back in Japan is set for 6th November at “DDT FES 2016” he won’t go back to regular competition in DDT until the 4th December Osaka show. Also he is looking forward more to seeing his favourite idol group perform at “DDT FES 2016” than he is wrestling. Irie then showed off the English he learned in America. “Nice to meet you. My name is SHIGEHIRO IRIE. From Japan. ……I Love You. I Miss You. I Need You.”

More details to come later but DDT will launch its own video on-demand service next year! DDT Universe will launch on January 2017 and for 900 yen a month subscribers will get access to watch DDT, DNA, BASARA, Tokyo Joshi Pro, Ganbare☆Wrestling and Street Wrestling shows. All Korakuen Hall shows and major events in big buildings will air live on the service. There will also be other content like reality shows featuring the DDT roster.

Yukio Sakaguchi & Masakatsu Funaki Vs Yoshihiro Takayama & Kazusada Higuchi was announced for “OSAKA OCTOPUS 2016” on 4th December.

A secret series of Spring wrestling shows were made public starting with an event in Best Western Rembrandt Hotel Tokyo Machida on 22nd January. The tour will be called the Best Western Lariat Series. Also the YaroZ brand will be brought back for a St. Valentine’s Day show in Shin-Kiba 1st RING.

DDT’s branch of restaurants and bars including the Drop Kick Bar, Ebisuko Tavern and SWANDIVE will now belong to a new parent company called DDT Foods. KUDO was chosen to be the new president of the company.

4. BASARA Offer Match: Yusuke Kubo defeated SAGAT with an Inside Cradle (10:42).
5. Kanagawa Nissan Motor Cup: Yuu & Nodoka-oneesan defeated Rika Tatsumi & Hyper Misao when Yuu submitted Misao with the Katahajime (13:53).

Event sponsors gave prizes to the winners of each match. Such prizes included a dessert sets and boxes filled with either bananas or oranges and they were presented to the wrestlers by children.

Hyper Misao has noticed how often Yuu & Nodoka-oneesan team together. They’ve been wrestling together ever since they debuted back in January. Misao told them that they are linked by “love of the truth”. While Yuu got to grapple with Rika Tatsumi a bit, she had to settle with submitting Misao to win the match.

When one of the children presented FUMA with his prize, FUMA forced him to do the Heavy Metal hand gesture.

Maho Kurone’s bloody make-up scared the children at ringside. She even chased a few away during her entrance.

5. San Mall Yokodai Cup: Shoko Nakajima & Akane Miura defeated Miyu Yamashita & Marika Kobashi when Miura pinned Marika with the Lariat (11:21).

Tomoya Kawamura was injured in his earlier match with FUMA so Gouma Ryu had to take his place for the evening show. The audience groaned when he was announced as the replacement. Gouma asked Yusuke Kubo if he could lose the match on purpose so Ryu would win the box of oranges for his daughter. Kubo refused and decked Ryu with his own law book to win.

Mil Clown chased the child who gave her her prize around the ring.
