6. Iwate Specialty Special Tag Match: Yuki Ueno & Shunma Katsumata defeated MAO & Keigo Nakamura when Ueno pinned Nakamura with the BME (25:06).

Today DDT was in Keigo Nakamura’s home of Iwate so he had a big day ahead of him. First he was the only wrestler to beat Sanshiro Takagi in the 5-Man Gauntlet match. Then in the main event he teamed with MAO to take on The 37KAMIINA. However he dropped the fall to Yuki Ueno, continuing the unit’s winning streak against MAO. Nakamura told his fans he is disappointed to lose to Ueno & Shunma Katsumata in front of them but promised to one day come back to Iwate with a championship.

Takagi had promised to give a pay rise to whoever could beat him in the Gauntlet Match. Nakamura did so he is getting one. To-y and Takeshi Masada were able to fight Takagi to two minute long draws so he praised them for doing well. Kazuma Sumi and Yuni however are getting pay cuts because they lost their two minute matches to Takagi.

1. Kaya Toribami defeated Chika Nanase with the Bird Cage (5:59).
2. HIMAWARI defeated Kira Summer with a Half Crab Hold (6:56).
3. Maki Itoh & Yuki Kamifuku defeated Wakana Uehara & Toga when Kamifuku pinned Uehara with the Famouser (12:06).
4. Suzume, Arisu Endo & Haru Kazashiro defeated Mahiro Kiryu, Shino Suzuki & Uta Takami when Endo pinned Suzuki with the Ju no Okite (12:56).
5. Rika Tatsumi, Shoko Nakajima, Mizuki & Runa Okubo defeated Miu Watanabe, Yuki Aino, Raku & Pom Harajuku when Tatsumi submitted Harajuku with the White Dragon Sleeper (16:07).

In one week’s time Miu Watanabe and Rika Tatsumi will be fighting each other over the Princess Of Princess Title so today was their final prelim match. Tatsumi suprised Watanabe with a Hip Attack right when the bell rang to start the match. She continued using Hip Attacks against Watanabe both inside and out of the ring. Watanabe made a comeback late in the match but again the Hip Attack was used to stop her. Tatsumi then won the match by putting Pom Harajuku in the White Dragon Sleeper.

Tatsumi told Watanabe after the match that what happened is not enough and they should do more warm up matches so she shouldn’t be running away. Watanabe said she is not running away and she will not let Tatsumi mess with her anymore. They will meet again at Korakuen Hall. Backstage Watanabe said she was under the mercy of Daydream in the build up to the match but now she is motivated to surpass Tatsumi. Meanwhile Yuki Aino is getting the Love Triangle to regroup for their next match together at Korakuen. She is looking forward to being in the ring with Yuna Manase again.

Shoko Nakajima said she was happy to wrestle against Raku today because Raku often teams with Aja Kong. So in a way the main event was Nakajima’s warm up for her upcoming singles match against Kong. Mizuki said she can feel Tatsumi’s momentum and it makes her want to see Tatsumi become the champion again. Runa Okubo believes she has grown enough that she can win the 6-Woman Tag match against her classmates at Korakuen.

Today is Mahiro Kiryu’s birthday but sadly her team lost their match. However everyone involved all sang happy birthday to her… only for the other team to attack her afterwards.

At a recent DDT show Maki Itoh told Sanshiro Takagi she was going to inherit the Stunner from him. She figured it would be a useful weapon for her when she goes back to America. She used the move today on Toga as a counter to the Rock Bottom. Then when Wakana Uehara put Yuki Kamifuku in the Banana Pillow, Itoh broke up the submission hold by Headbutting Uehara from behind. Itoh & Kamifuku dropped Uehara with an Elevated DDT double team and Kamifuku used the Famouser to win the match.

The injured trio of Nao Kakuta, Hyper Misao and Haruna Neko held a short talk segment in the middle of the show. Misao forgot her hero mask and had to use a temporary replacement to keep her identity hidden from the audience. She also convinced the others to take part in a “Sweet And Sour” rule during the talk. The rule was if anyone spoke in English they would have to drink a glass of sour lemon juice. Her plan backfired because she broke the rule three times. Kakuta only broke it once while Neko was clean the entire time. Misao challenged Kakuta to an all or nothing game of Rock, Paper, Scissors but she lost that too. However Kakuta agreed to take a drink with Misao to end the segment.

2. Tetsuya Endo, Yukio Naya & Yuya Koroku defeated Jun Akiyama, Soma Takao & Keigo Nakamura when Endo submitted Nakamura with the Yurikamome (10:10).
3. Sanshiro Takagi Indefinite Rest Road ~ Special Tag Match: Sanshiro Takagi & Yuni defeated Dasnhoku Dieno & Kazuma Sumi when Takagi pinned Sumi with an Avalanche-Style Brainbuster (5:36).
4. KANON 5th Anniversary Match ~ Special Single Match: TAKA Michinoku defeated KANON with the Heavy Killer No. 2 (10:12).
5. Special 3 Way Match: HARASHIMA defeated Daisuke Sasaki and Masahiro Takanashi when HARASHIMA pinned Sasaki with the Somato (8:46).
6. Special Single Match: Go Shiozaki defeated Yuki Iino with the Gowan Lariat (15:02).
7. The 37KAMIINA Vs SCHADENFREUDE International?: Yuki Ueno, Shunma Katsumata & To-y defeated MAO, Chris Brookes & Antonio Honda when To-y pinned Honda with a Frankensteiner (20:30).

So how did it go when MAO teamed up with SCHADENFREUDE International? It was almost flawless. His skills combined with the talents of Chris Brookes & Antonio Honda was almost enough to beat The 37KAMIINA if it wasn’t for one mistake and a little bit of luck at the end. An attack from MAO missed its target and hit Brookes by mistake. Honda tried to take control of things by hitting Yuki Ueno & Shunma Katsumata with Bionic Elbows. He and MAO then teamed up on To-y but To-y captured Honda with a Frankensteiner out of nowhere to get the win. The result continues MAO’s losing streak against The 37KAMIINA since running away from the group. Ueno said the Sumo Hall show is just around the corner and he is really looking forward to defending the KO-D Openweight Title against MAO. They have more prelim matches coming up before then so he will see MAO again this weekend. Backstage MAO described today’s match as him running away from home and stopping by at his friend’s place. He wanted to join the original SCHADENFREUDE unit years ago so today was kind of like his dream coming true. He said no matter what happens, he will have a place to come back to.

If Yuki Iino or Tetsuya Endo want to beat Go Shiozaki today showed they aren’t ready to do it yet. Shiozaki fought Iino in a singles match with Atsushi Kotoge in his corner. Before the show began both teams signed the contract for their KO-D Tag Team Titles match at Sumo Hall. TEAM NOAH said they are going to show their strength and win the belts. Endo dismissed Kotoge and said he is only interested in getting the fall on Shiozaki. In the singles match Iino and Shiozaki fought around the room hitting each other with Chops, Lariats and Spears. Iino reached his limit first and Shiozaki pinned him with the Gowan Lariat. Then after the match Kotoge knocked down Endo with a Headbutt! He doesn’t like the smack talk Endo has been giving him so at Sumo Hall it will be Kotoge and not Shiozaki who will score the fall on Endo. The two teams got into another scuffle backstage.

HARASHIMA won the 3 Way Match, scoring the pinfall on Daisuke Sasaki with the Somato. Smile Squash then went and got their KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Title belts back. However during the fight KANON was able to steal back one of the belts from Yasu Urano so the champions do not have their complete set back yet. HARASHIMA promised his team will definitely have all three belts back in time for Sumo Hall so they can put together a great entrance. Backstage KANON warned reminded everyone he has a singles match against HARASHIMA coming up this Sunday. Sasaki complained about the “orange, alcoholic bastard” Masahiro Takanashi getting in the way a lot during the 3 Way.

KANON was given a match against his mentor TAKA Michinoku to celebrate the 5th Anniversary of his debut. The match was mostly Michinoku in control but KANON had some close calls. He countered the Michinoku Driver but was then rolled up into the Heavy Killer No. 2 cradle to lose by pinfall. Backstage Michinoku said he remembered teaming with KANON for his 4th Anniversary last year so was happy to have a singles match against him this time around. He is interested to see if KANON can move up to the top spot in DDT and challenge for the KO-D Title. He also promoted JTO’s 5th Anniversary show taking place next week. KANON promised to pay him back for today at that show.

Yesterday Danshoku Dieno successfully pulled off a plan to win the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title from Funky Kato but that only made him a target for his opponents and also his tag partner today. Kazuma Sumi quickly tried to pin Dieno for the title even though they were teaming together to fight Sanshiro Takagi & Yuni. It got so bad that Sumi stopped Dieno from giving Takagi the Danshoku Driver. Takagi then tricked Sumi into working together only for Takagi to give him a Superplex for the win. Takagi does not know why Dieno went through the trouble to become the Iron Man Champion but he ordered him not to lose the title until their match at Sumo Hall so he can win it in his last match! Yuni and Sumi then started arguing because Sumi has a singles match against Takagi coming up but Yuni does not. Then Keigo Nakamura and To-y entered the ring also demanding to fight Takagi in a match. Takagi decided he will fight all of them and also Takeshi Masada in a 5-Vs-1 match on 13th July. Each opponent will get to wrestle him for two minutes each. If any of them can beat Takagi in that time he will raise their pay!

Today was Nakamura’s birthday so he wanted to be the “main character” of his match. For that reason he held back from tagging in either Jun Akiyama or Soma Takao even when it was right to do so. He also asked Akiyama for a birthday gift and got one in the form of Akiyama giving Endo the Exploder Suplex so Nakamura could pin him. He then went for the Diving Headbutt but Endo dodged it and grabbed him in the Yurikamome submission hold. The birthday boy had no choice but to give up.

Toru Owashi wrestled in Dragongate during the week and was eager to show off his lucha skills in the opening match here. Kazuki Hirata also wanted to dance but Akito refused. He eventually got everyone including Makoto Oishi to dance together. Akito then ended up catching Hirata in a Gedo Clutch to get the win.

It was announced during the show that the Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere concept will return on 2nd August. There will be three different matches with Right To Challenge prizes on the line on that day.

5. Nikichan Water Lumberjack Death Match: Miu Watanabe, Arisu Endo & HIMAWARI defeated Mizuki, Raku & Pom Harajuku when Watanabe pinned Harajuku with the Tear Drop (16:34).

A summertime collaboration between Tokyo Joshi Pro and The Up Up Girls (2) was held today at the outdoor stage in Ueno Park. The five members of The Up Up Girls (2) served as lumberjacks for the main event. Their job was to splash whoever was knocked out of the ring by using buckets and super soakers filled with water. Rika Tatsumi decided to be one of the lumberjacks too because it looked like so much fun. The match got out of control as a result with everybody including the audience becoming soaking wet by the end of it.

The Battle Royal included a special rule where everyone in the match had to eat a slice of watermelon before entering the ring. Also if a wrestler was eliminated by pinfall they could re-enter the match if they ate another slice of watermelon in time before the last woman was left standing in the ring.

6. Special Single Match: HARASHIMA defeated Yukio Naya with the Somato (14:20).
7. The 37KAMIINA Vs. D.O.A?: Yuki Ueno, Shunma Katsumata & To-y defeated MAO, Jun Akiyama & Danshoku Dieno when Katsumata pinned Dieno with the Totonou Splash (21:09).

Next stop for MAO is D.O.A as he continues his choice to fight against his friends in The 37KAMIINA rather than team with them. Things went a little better today compared to yesterday. He pushed Yuki Ueno face first into Danshoku Dieno’s Hell Gate but Ueno later got his own back by throwing MAO into Dieno’s Lip Lock. MAO was so dazed by the move he fell and landed head first into Dieno’s groin. The damage to Dieno was so great it left him a sitting duck for Shunma Katsumata’s Totonou Splash. Ueno said that MAO is a great partner for anyone but he shines brightest when he is with The 37KAMIINA. However MAO thinks he is learning from teaming with other units in the run up to Sumo Hall.

The show was part of Yoshiaki Yatsu’s charity work with the Nippon Challenged Wrestling Association, or NCWA for short. In his match Yatsu was able to give Tetsuya Endo the Bulldog Headlock as well as the Prison Lock. Sanshiro Takagi and Kuroshio TOKYO Japan also did their part so their team could beat BURNING.

There was a sponsor for Match #4 who presented Aja Kong with a special 18L steel can. Because it was such an important gift, Yukinori Matsui permitted her to use it as a weapon against Kazuki Hirata because it would be rude to stop her. After she won the match Katsumata and To-y bragged about how unbeatable the three of them are going to be in the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles match on 21st July. Kong told Katsumata that when they win the titles, he has to carry her around like a princess. This is in reference to a picture of Kong carrying Katsumata from a few years ago.

The debut match for Odawara’s local mascot Umemaru begun without him because he was late to the venue. When he finally arrived he was out of energy and deflated in front of everyone. However he was able to recover and continue the match, winning by getting the pinfall on Pokotan.

Former Michinoku Pro and ZERO1 wrestler Naohiro Hoshikawa was in attendance for the show. He is wheelchair bound due to injuries but he was able to approach the ringside apron and greet the audience.

2. Battle Royal Full Of Nao Kakuta: Arisu Endo defeated Pom Harajuku by Ring Out (9:16).
Order Of Elimination: Mizuki, Suzume, Yuki Arai, Pom Harajuku.
3. Maika Ozaki defeated HIMAWARI with the Kinniku Buster (8:54).
4. Special Tag Match: Saori Anou & Natsupoi defeated Nao Kakuta & Tae Honma when Natsupoi pinned Kakuta with the Fairy Gift (18:46).

A special day was put together by Nao Kakuta with friends from her past getting together all in one place. It became a rare moment in time where wrestlers from Tokyo Joshi Pro and Stardom come together to pay tribute to the earliest era of Actwres girl’Z. The main event was Kakuta teaming up with Tae Honma to take on the Cosmic Angels team of Saori Anou & Natsupoi (the return of the former Natsumi Maki to a TJPW ring is especially noteworthy here). All four women along with the special guest ring announcer Aina Aiba (aka Yuuki Harima) were part of the debut Actwres show. Cosmic Angels won the match thanks to Anou getting rid of Honma with a German Suplex so Natsupoi could pin Kakuta with the Fairy Gift.

After the match Kakuta said she does not want to cry now because she still has four matches left until her retirement. She could not have put together today’s show by herself so she thanked everyone who helped her. She will continue to support the others who were in the main event with her because they are all important friends. Natsupoi said that some day every one of them will retire so she wants Kakuta to be there for them. Anou said she is sure they will all stick together even when they’re not in the ring. Honma made Kakuta promise not to get hurt so she can make it to her retirement ceremony. Everyone then slapped Kakuta over her back as hard as they could.

TJPW made up most of the show’s undercard but Kakuta made the matches they were going to be in. Kakuta put HIMAWARI to the test by making her take on Maika Ozaki. Just how much of a new experience it was for HIMAWARI was shown in the finish. Ozaki used the Kinniku Buster to beat her!

Kakuta brought along a bunch of her old costumes and got some of the TJPW wrestlers to wear them for a Battle Royal. Even though they were all meant to be Nao Kakuta, Daisy Monkey still used double team moves together on Yuki Arai because they have a Princess Tag Team Titles defence coming up against her soon. Everyone then ganged up on Pom Harajuku because she did Shin Kicks and Kakuta never uses that move. Arisu Endo and Harajuku both kicked Mizuki and Suzume out of the ring at the same time. Endo was then able to eliminate Arai and then Harajuku to be the last Nao Kakuta standing.

The opening match between Cherry and Kakeru Sekiguchi had retired wrestler Himeka as the special guest referee. It was an unusual role for her and even she was confused when she got more chants than Cherry or Sekiguchi. She couldn’t help but get involved in a test of strength and also disliked slapping the canvas when counting pins. Soon both Cherry and Sekiguchi would accidentally hit Himeka with their attacks, causing her to give them a Double Lariat in return. Then when Cherry and Sekiguchi tried to roll each other up with Backslide Pins, Himeka decided to pile on top of both of them and count the pinfall, ruling herself the winner of the match!

4. Sanshiro Takagi Indefinite Rest Road ~ Unagi Warriors Vs Brahman Brothers! Falls Count Anywhere Tag Match: Sanshiro Unagi & Sayaka Unagi Vs Brahman Shu & Brahman Kei ended in a No Contest (13:25).
5. Mid-Summer Ueno Onshi Specialty! DDT Summer Special Match: Chris Brookes, Takeshi Masada & Yukio Naya defeated Tetsuya Endo, Yuki Iino & Yuya Koroku when Naya pinned Koroku with the Choke Slam into the Pool (18:31).
6. The 37KAMIINA Vs DAMNATION T.A?: Yuki Ueno, Shunma Katsumata & To-y defeated MAO, Daisuke Sasaki & KANON (w/ MJ Paul) when Ueno pinned MAO with the Jul.2 (16:52).

MAO has ran away from The 37KAMIINA and decided to try out teaming with DDT’s other units in the leadup to “WRESTLE PETER PAN 2024”. First on his list is DAMNATION T.A and he even came to the show dressed like they do. However DAMNATION T.A weren’t enthusiastic about the idea until MAO offered them money to team with him. The loyalty didn’t last though. Daisuke Sasaki brought in a chair and accidentally hit MAO with it when Yuki Ueno dodged out of the way. Then KANON hit MAO with a Lariat that definitely wasn’t accidental. DAMNATION T.A decided to leave MAO high and dry for The 37KAMIINA to beat and then briefly returned to attack MAO once more. Ueno told MAO after the match that he can’t help him if he wants to run away from home. MAO is upset over what happened but is determined to stick to this path so he can beat Ueno for the KO-D Openweight Title at Sumo Hall.

Match #5 was given a summer theme with everybody wearing summer outfits and using summer related items as weapons. Yuya Koroku got the wrong message and wore a school swimsuit that he was too big for. Yuki Iino had a kendo stick and acted like a swimming instructor. Tetsuya Endo chased after Takeshi Masada with a stag beetle. Chris Brookes brought a watermelon for everyone to break open except he accidentally smashed it over Yukio Naya’s head. Buckets of water was thrown at everybody and Naya Choke Slammed Koroku into a kiddie pool to win the match for his team.

The match before that was even more of a mess thanks to who was involved. The Brahman Brothers soaked the place in water by throwing buckets, pouring bottles and spraying hoses at whoever was in front of them. The audience especially. The Unagi Warriors decided to fight water with water against them which only caused more of a mess. Soon the poor referee was doused in unagi sauce and other material that the match had to be called off and be ruled a No Contest. After the match Sayaka Unagi told Sanshiro Unagi they can team again some day but only after he pays her all the money he made from copying her likeness. Takagi agreed to talk with her lawyer about it. He then admitted to selling a lot of Unagi merchandise today so she demanded even more royalties from him.

In a battle of the ages Antonio Honda defeated Invisible Leonardo DiCaprio in an I Quit Match. Danshoku Dieno and Hisaya Imabayashi provided commentary at ringside for those who could not comprehend the ferocious action they were witnessing. Honda threw DiCaprio up to the ceiling with a Super Body Slam but then missed the Diving Fist Drop. Suddenly Honda was given a flash of inspiration from the famous Akira Maeda Vs Don Nakaya Nielsen fight and “Captured” played over the speakers. Honda grabbed DiCaprio in a Half Crab Hold and got him to say “I Quit”.

There was concerns that the hot weather would make some of the wrestlers grumpy so Match #2 was turned into a Positive Thinking Death Match. If anyone started to complain or say anything negative then their team would be disqualified. It forced the wrestlers to make nice and complimentary comments about all of the moves being given to them. The match ended when Jun Akiyama threw Keigo Nakamura into Dieno’s Hell Gate. Akiyama then complained about the area being stinky and that was enough to get his team disqualified.

After that match ended, DAMNATION T.A ran in to attack HARASHIMA and Yasu Urano. They also stole the third remaining KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Title belt. So now they have the complete set of belts despite not being the champions. Urano complained that there’s no point in DAMNATION T.A holding the belts if they are not the champions. He believes being the actual champion is more valuable than having posession of the belt. HARASHIMA wants the belts returned to them so Smile Squash can have a great entrance at Sumo Hall. He and Urano agree they’re not going to attack them before the match though.

Shinichiro Kawamatsu got booed for preventing Kazuki Hirata from putting on the Hirata GO! glasses and deciding to put them on himself. The wrestlers go thirsty during the match and Kazuma Sumi drank all of the water that was provided for them. He brought out orange juice instead and everyone fought over it. Kawamatsu accidentally Speared Ilusion during the fight and Hirata pinned Ilusion with the Miracle One Shot Cradle for the win.

During the intermission, Ryuichi Kawakami crashed the show and entered the ring. He was recently a GLEAT wrestler until a few days ago when his contract was terminated over him blowing up the company president during an exploding death match. Now a freelancer, he goes by the name of Ryuichi “Fire” Kawakami and he wants to know if DDT has the guts to book him. Imabayashi informed him the Sumo Hall card is finalized so so he will have to wait until the shows after that to get booked by them. Kawakami threatened to blow up Imabayashi until Naya got in the ring and confronted him. Kawakami left but later told reporters that as a freelancer he can do whatever he wants and bring along whoever he wants. He mentioned Atsushi Onita and The Great Kojika as examples of who he could team with. He also said he could even turn up to a place that has an ark or a lion mark.

Takeshi Masada has been appointed as a model for Bodix bodywear as part of a new collaboration between the company and DDT.

1. Hyper Wasabi Cream Puff Death Match: Antonio Honda Vs Mad Dr. Ueki ended in a Draw when Honda and Ueki both ate a Wasabi Cream Puff (11:02).
2. Special Single Match: Mr. Bueno defeated Mecha Mummy with a Cold Spray Assisted Cradle (11:47).
3. Special Single Match: Tam Higashinakano (MAO) defeated Sayaka Unagi with the Violet Screwdriver (9:05).
4. Special Tag Match: Chris Brookes & Masahiro Takanashi Vs Fuminori Abe & Takuya Nomura ended in a Time Limit Draw (20:00).

For the first time ever CDK took on Astronauts and the match took place inside the cramped confines of Baka Gaijin + Friends. Surprisingly given the number of people involved in the main event it was kept mostly on the mats in the middle of the room with actual tag rules kept in play. Chris Brookes and Takuya Nomura in particular got deep into the action leading to a double submission spot when Brookes put Nomura in the Octopus Hold and Fuminori Abe did the same to Masahiro Takanashi right beside him. CDK isolated Abe with double team moves but Nomura came to the rescue. Soon Takanashi and Abe were in a Figure 4 Leg Lock together with Brookes and Nomura rolling them back and forth to try and give their partners the leverage. Both teams then briefly paused to get drinks before getting back to fighting. With minutes left to go it turned into a scramble where neither team could get the win. The twenty minute time limit ran out while Astronauts held CDK in submission holds and the match ended in a draw right when Takanashi rolled Abe over for a nearfall.

Sayaka Unagi was introduced to the world of Baka Gaijin thanks to MAO. He was meant to be her opponent but Unagi was in for a shock when some familiar music from her past played instead. Instead of fighting MAO, Unagi was now going to fight Tam Higashinakano! It was MAO dressed in a full Tam Nagano costume doing all of her poses and catchphrases. Higashinakano encouraged Unagi to give everyone a fired up, passionate match. Unagi used some of her signature moves but Higashinakano got the win in the end, having enough space in the room to hit the Violet Screwdriver. Later at the end of the show Unagi became emotional because she thought she would never see “Tam” in the ring again. She suggested that they should team together some day for another cosmic encounter.

The mystery masked gentleman Mr. Bueno returned to Baka Gaijin for another match. It was explained that Bueno is not a fan of the growing trend of AI so this month he was going to fight Mecha Mummy. Bueno dodged the robot’s attacks like a matador but hadn’t the strength to move his heavy opponent. His attacks also fed into Mummy’s programming and it learned how to wrestle from Bueno’s attacks. With Ueki helping in the corner Mummy was getting the better of Bueno until Bueno pulled out cold spray to slow it down. Mummy missed the Rocket Punch and hit Ueki by mistake. Bueno then made fun of Mummy for being old tech, causing it to open up its body cavity, pull out its heart and rip it apart in sadness. Bueno had to apologize and cheered it up by talking about how expensive Mummy is. The match continued and Mummy gave Bueno a Sunset Flip. Bueno reversed the cradle and used the cold spray again, freezing Mummy so it couldn’t kick out of the pin. After the match Bueno bumped into To-y in the crowd. Tory greeted him with a NeppoWER!! pose and Bueno responded by giving him a glove slap across the face.

The show began with Antonio Honda and Mad Dr. Ueki agreeing to make their match a Hyper Wasabi Cream Puff Death Match! If there is a nearfall then the person who got pinned must one of five cream puffs, three of which contain wasabi in them. If they eat a wasabi cream puff then they lose. Ueki got the first nearfall but the cream puff Honda ate was safe. Honda tried to go high risk by climbing a stool but tripped over it and hurt his knee. He told a Gongitsune joke but Ueki blocked his sneak attack and pulled out his pistol! He pulled the trigger but Gongitsune caught the bullet and threw it back at him! Honda and Ueki then struggled to give each other a Backslide Pin, resulting in both of them pinning each other for a double two count. They both had to eat a cream puff afterward and they both chose ones that had wasabi in them! The match ended in a draw with Honda fleeing while Ueki called for help. Mecha Mummy came out with a drink for its master to wash out his mouth with.

Baka Gaijin’s next show will be “FUCKED UP FEST VOL. 1” on 24th August.

2. MONDAY NIGHT FEVER: Minoru Tanaka & Kazuki Hirata defeated Yusuke Kodama & Issei Onitsuka when Tanaka pinned Onitsuka with the B”D”F (3:59).
7. G-REX Title: Hayato Tamura (c) defeated Yuki Iino with a Lariat (14:56).
*V6 for Hayato Tamura.

A month ago when GLEAT and DDT held a show together, Yuki Iino scored a pinfall win over Hayato Tamura. The result made him No. 1 Contender for the G-REX Title and he got his shot yesterday at Tokyo Dome City Hall. The two had a stubborn heavyweight match with plenty of collisions. Iino was able to hit the Spear but it wasn’t enough to win this time. Tamura cut him off with a German Suplex and Back Drop before getting the three count with a Lariat. He said he was energized today thanks to Iino beating him at Korakuen Hall last month. He does not know what to think of him personally but in the ring they are truly rivals who can fight each other for decades to come. Iino agreed and wants to fight Tamura again anytime, any place and in any match.

It’s an eventful week for Minoru Tanaka’s family so he was given a match to let out some steam. He was well into dancing with Kazuki Hirata from the get go. Their opponents Yusuke Kodama & Issei Onitsuka, not so much. Hirata briefly paused the action to get a drink of water but when he returned he sportingly allowed Onitsuka to put him back in a Sleeper Hold. Tanaka got tagged in and didn’t take long to win the match. All four of them danced with each other after the match. Tanaka said it was the first time a “mixed martial arts” match between a dancer and a ramen shop owner ever took place. He was impressed by how strong the dancer was. Onitsuka warned that he will get payback on Hirata.

7. Road To PETER PAN 2024! Special Tag Match: MAO & To-y defeated Yuki Ueno & Shunma Katsumata when MAO pinned Katsumata with the Michinoku Driver II (26:24).

It’s still another month to go until “WRESTLE PETER PAN 2024” but today was the last stop at Korakuen Hall before DDT returns to Sumo Hall. One that caused friction inside The 37KAMIINA thanks to the main event. The four members of the group paired off against each other to build up Yuki Ueno against MAO. Ueno teamed with Shunma Katsumata while MAO had To-y as his partner. Everyone looked to be having fun with the match, doing some good-natured poking at each other and the NeppoWER!! pose being used often. The fun then turned wreckless when chairs were set up at ringside and Katsumata crashed into them after MAO dodged his dive out of the ring. Both teams were able to hit synchronised dives to their opponents. MAO almost got the win when he hit Katsumata with the Iai Kick but Ueno broke the pin. To-y came in to hold Ueno back while MAO gave Katsumata the Michinoku Driver II to get the win.

MAO spoke a lot about the other members of The 37KAMIINA after the match because they do not all fight each other often. He now realizes just how great Ueno is after wrestling him today. He also sees how much Katsumata has grown because they’ve been working so hard together. Since MAO is facing Ueno at Sumo Hall for the KO-D Openweight Title he needs to make a decision. MAO is going to run away from home by temporarily leaving The 37KAMIINA! He was about to exit the ring when Ueno stopped him just for a moment. He understands MAO is taking the match seriously and knows just how much he also loves to be free. He does not know if MAO is fully quitting The 37KAMIINA, joining another unit or if somebody else will soon take care of him. But no matter what MAO is doing, The 37KAMIINA will always be there to make him shine!

Backstage Ueno said he understands the heavy weight that comes with leaving a unit because he himself did it before with DISASTER BOX. It is a sad feeling but MAO’s choice to leave also makes Ueno look forward to the KO-D Title match even more. All he wants MAO to do is not take this decision lightly. Katsumata said The 37KAMIINA will continue and will be a unit that MAO will want to come back to. MAO said he will always trust Ueno but does not want to rely on him. He wants to face Ueno in as many prelim matches as possible from now until Sumo Hall and does not mind who DDT will make him team up with. He is doing this because it will be the best way to raise Ueno’s motivation as well as his own. MAO said he will eventually go home after “WRESTLE PETER PAN 2024” because he loves everyone but does not know what will happen after that. Especially if he discovers a new life he really likes away from The 37KAMIINA.

Miyu Yamashita and Maki Itoh from Tokyo Joshi Pro both consider Sanshiro Takagi to be an important person in their lives because he was their entryway into pro wrestling. So it was fitting for Takagi to have them be part of one of his final matches before his indefinite break as a pro wrestler begins. Tetsuya Koda though thought otherwise. The inclusion of Danshoku Dieno in the match and his lewd moveset being performed on his talent was too much for the TJPW boss to bear so he interfered in the match. That caused the DDT GM and Koda’s part-time rival Hisaya Imabayashi to get involved. Both of them started fighting each other until they both got their faces shoved into Dieno’s backside. The scheduled match continued and Itoh gave Takagi a Stunner. Yamashita then picked up Itoh in the Electric Chair position and dropped her face first into Dieno’s Hell Gate. She then kicked Dieno in the butt and Takagi followed up by giving Dieno an Avalanche Brainbuster before pinning him with the Stunner.

Takagi told Yamashita and Itoh after the match how much he really wanted to wrestle them because TJPW is an important part of his career. Yamashita was the catalyst for TJPW and Itoh has spread it across the world. He will work closely with Koda to help grow TJPW even more. He also likes the idea of Itoh inheriting the Stunner from him. She says she is going to use the move more often in America. Takagi also had news for Danshoku Dieno. Takagi has thought long and hard about who he wants his last opponent to be at Sumo Hall. It has to be someone who embodies the “Dramatic Dream” and Dieno fits the image more than anyone else. Dieno agreed and has a match stipulation in mind. The Weapon Rumble! Takagi swears it is not a retirement but Dieno wants nothing more than to retire him at Sumo Hall!

In a preview for the KO-D Tag Team Titles match at Sumo Hall, TEAM NOAH paid a visit to face BURNING in a 6-Man Tag Match. Tetsuya Endo and Go Shiozaki started off but once Yuki Iino got into the match he and Shiozaki spent time beating each other’s chests raw. Atsushi Kotoge’s plan to focus on Yuya Koroku paid off when he pinned him with the Killswitch to give the visiting team the win. Iino and Shiozaki kept fighting afterwards and had to be pulled apart. Iino demanded a singles match against Shiozaki before the tag title bout happens. Shiozaki said he will do it anytime and promise to damage Iino’s chest twice as bad as he did today. Endo said today was the first time he saw something out of Kotoge. He told him not to hold anything back when he fights DDT.

The battle for the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles has gotten even more crowded than it’s already been. Two members of Smile Squash were at the show today without their belts because DAMNATION T.A stole them recently. With that on the minds of HARASHIMA & Akito things got even messier when they and Soma Takao lost to SCHADENFREUDE International. The consequence of that is now Masahiro Takanashi, Takeshi Masada & Antonio Honda wanted in on the title match at Sumo Hall! DAMNATION T.A came out with the stolen belts demanding to know what the match was going to be because it was already announced as a 3 Way Trios match. That caused Katsumata & To-y to enter the ring and finally reveal who their third member is supposed to be. It’s Aja Kong! After a lot of arguing between the teams, Imabayashi confirmed that the titles will be on the line in a Survival 4 Way Match on 21st July. That way only the strongest team will be left holding the three championship belts.

Keigo Nakamura scored a big win by pinning Makoto Oishi in a tag match. Jun Akiyama was a big challenge for him to overcome but Yukio Naya was there to block him off. Nakamura got the pinfall by placing Oishi seated between the ropes and then hitting the Running Diving Headbutt while Oishi was dangling in the air.

Match #2 was under Lucha Libre Rules as per Toru Owashi’s request. Honda tried to do a Rolling Sole Butt to fit in but only ended up injuring himself. He tried to tell a Gongitsune story only for Daisuke Sasaki to cut him off. Owashi, Honda & Kazuki Hirata all put on Hirata GO!! glasses and danced around KANON, dealing him psychological damage. However Sasaki & MJ Paul attacked them and soon Hirata was dancing alone unaware that DAMNATION T.A were surrounding him. The three of them destroyed Hirata from there and won the match.

Kazuma Sumi beat both Yuni and Ilusion in the latest show opener between their generation. He used the movement of a 619 to grab Yuni and roll him over into a School Boy for the three count.
