2. Wakana Uehara defeated Uta Takami with the Banana Pillow (5:40).
3. Yuki Kamifuku, Mahiro Kiryu & Kira Summer defeated Raku, Pom Harajuku & HIMAWARI when Kamifuku pinned HIMAWARI with the Famouser (10:24).
4. Maki Itoh defeated Runa Okubo with the Itoh Punish (6:37).
5. Nao Kakuta & Yuki Aino defeated Shoko Nakajima & Yoshiko Hasegawa when Kakuta pinned Hasegawa with the Shiden Kai (14:10).
6. Miyu Yamashita & Toga defeated Mizuki & Shino Suzuki when Yamashita pinned Suzuki with the Attitude Adjustment (10:42).
7. Miu Watanabe, Suzume & Arisu Endo defeated Rika Tatsumi, Moka Miyamoto & Kaya Toribami when Suzume pinned Toribami with the Ring A Bell (15:18).

Rika Tatsumi made it known that she will be hard to predict for Miu Watanabe leading up to their Princess Of Princess Title match. There were no handshakes from Tatsumi before the main event and she actively avoided being in the ring with Watanabe until she threw Mahiro Kiryu into her at ringside and later cut off Watanabe with the Hip Attack. Meanwhile Moka Miyamoto got plenty of in-ring time with Daisy Monkey although it was Kaya Toribami who took the fall in the end. Suzume & Arisu Endo both said they are fired up for their Princess Tag Titles defence against Miyamoto & Yuki Arai. Watanabe however admits she still can’t get a read on Tatsumi’s battleplan against her. Even though Tatsumi is trying to avoid facing Watanabe, she is confident she will win the title from her on 20th July.

The return of Yoshiko Hasegawa to Tokyo Joshi Pro brought her into the latest match in Nao Kakuta’s graduation series. It might also have been the last time Shoko Nakajima and Yuki Aino got to be in the ring with Kakuta too. Kakuta got the win after hitting Hasegawa with a seated Dropkick followed by the Shiden Kai. The moment must have gotten to Kakuta because she told Aino it was all over after the match. Aino had to remind her she is still around for another month.

The 19 wrestlers entering this year’s Tokyo Princess Cup were announced at the start of the show. They are Yuki Aino, Yuki Arai, Wakana Uehara, Arisu Endo, Runa Okubo, Haru Kazashiro, Yuki Kamifuku, Zara Zakher, Shino Suzuki, Suzume, Rika Tatsumi, Toga, Kaya Toribami, Shoko Nakajima, Pom Harajuku, Mizuki, Ryo Mizunami, Moka Miyamoto and Miu Watanabe.

1. Falls Count Anywhere Match: Minoru Suzuki defeated Sanshiro Takagi with the Gotch-Style Piledriver (55:07).

The never ending war between Sanshiro Takagi and Minoru Suzuki must have the most unique list of locations in pro wrestling. They have fought each other in Budokan Hall, the Tokyo Dome, the Shinkansen bullet train and now the humble Sakura Tram on the Toden Arakawa Line. The latest chapter of this rivalry was put together by DDT and the Tokyo Metropolitan Bureau of Transportation. It would be Takagi’s last chance at finally beating Suzuki before he takes an indefinite break as a pro wrestler on 21st July to focus on managing DDT behind the scenes.

The starting point was at Arakawa-shakomae Station. There both wrestlers made their entrance outdoors for the 16 passengers who won successfully got tickets to see the match. Then Shinichiro Kawamatsu showed up accompanied by the current Tokyo governor Yuriko Koike. This was especially newsworthy because the Tokyo gubernatorial election is taking place soon and Koike has mostly avoided making public appearances during her campaign, citing a busy schedule as her reason. This is the same election that has gone viral on social media for the high amount of the bizarre candidates involved, some being there to take advantage of equal media coverage to say and do whatever they want. I guess the best comparison I could make to another part of the world is imagine what would happen if the BBC had to give the Monster Raving Loony Party the same amount of coverage as they do for the major political parties in the UK. So this match ended up becoming part of someone’s political campaign, which I feel kind of iffy about.

The two politicians boarded the tram along with everyone else to witness the start of the match. It began slow with Takagi and Suzuki both taking a feeling out process. Takagi put Suzuki in a Headlock and encouraged Koike to throw a Chop at Suzuki’s chest. Then when Suzuki put Takagi in a Neck Lock, Takagi reached out to hold Koike’s hand which the referee decided counts as a rope break. Koike then Chopped both wrestlers before exiting the tram at Kodai Station.

Now that the governor was gone, Takagi and Suzuki agreed they could go do whatever they want. The fighting became more aggressive and they also interacted more with the passengers. When the tram arrived at Miyanomae Station everyone was in for a surprise. Sayaka Unagi stepped on board carrying all of her championships including the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title!

Unagi took Takagi’s side and the two of them attacked Suzuki with a large rubber band. Suzuki continued to fight a 2-on-1 advantage until the tram arrived at Kumanomae Station. There he received reinforcements when Hikaru Sato stepped into the tram!

Soon Suzuki had the numbers advantage when Seigo Tachibana showed up at the Higashi-ogu-sanchome Station. But when he said he was here to mug people, Kawamatsu refused to stand by and do nothing. The politician joined Takagi’s side and now the match turned into a 3-on-3 fight on board! During the chaos Suzuki’s Towel won the Iron Man Title when Suzuki used it to choke Unagi into submission.

It became such a crazy situation that a policeman was waiting for them at Machiya-nichome Station. That policeman was Takayuki Ueki. However he lost his cool when someone pointed out he is a cop from Kanagawa which means he should have no power over here. Ueki threatened everyone on board with his pistol but suddenly cowered when Suzuki confronted him. Suzuki then grabbed the pistol and shot Ueki with it! With the situation now under control, Ueki’s body was dropped off at Arakawa-nanachome Station.

The next person to show up was a comedian named Sugichan. He performed a comedy skit and then pinned Suzuki’s towel to win the Iron Man Title! Suzuki didn’t find it funny so he choked Sugichan with the towel until he tapped out. Again the ref Daisuke Kiso decided that the towel was the new champion and not Suzuki.

The match suddenly got hijacked by MAO and Takeshi Masada at Minowabashi Station. The two young wrestlers complained that Takagi and Suzuki’s Toden Pro Wrestling was too lukewarm and declared themselves the new generation of Toden Pro Wrestling! They then started to fight each other as a demonstration until Takagi and Suzuki removed them from the tram so they could continue their own match.

At this point the tram had reached the end of the line so it began its return journey on the track. The next stop was Arakawa-itchumae Station where musician Funky Kato came on board singing the Pro Wrestling NOAH theme “VOYAGE” to advertise his new album. Suzuki forced him to also sing “Kaze Ni Nare”. Then a bunch of the wrestlers from earlier came back on board at Arakawa-nichome Station. They stayed around until the tram reached Higashi-ogu-sanchome Station. They all exited again leaving Takagi, Suzuki and Kato with the latest unexpected guest…

It was Meiko Satomura! She’s apparently still signed to WWE, you know. She approached Kato and challenged him to a battle. But it wasn’t a fight she was looking for. She wanted to prove she is a better singer than he is! She sang “Ii Hi Tabidachi” while the other wrestlers were putting each other in Sleeper Holds behind her. Satomura soon joined in. Kato then all of a sudden pinned Suzuki’s towel to win the Iron Man Title and escaped the tram at Miyanomae Station with the belt! Satomura left at the same spot.

When the tram returned to Kodai Station the station attendant stepped on board to inspect everyone’s tickets. Except it was really Jushin Liger in disguise! He got into an argument with Suzuki and hit him with the Shotei before going back to his cushy little post-retirement job.

With the journey nearing its end, Takagi declared it was now time to win by throwing a Lariat at the speed of 13.1km/h thanks to the tram’s momentum. Suzuki ducked the Lariat and grabbed Takagi in the Sleeper Hold instead. He then spun him around and dropped him on his head with the Gotch-Style Piledriver. Takagi was out after that and pinned for the three count.

After the match Takagi had a big announcement to make. He cannot beat Suzuki no matter how many times he tries so he is going to retire! He requested a 10 bell salute only to give Suzuki a Stunner in the middle of it. He was just lying to get the last laugh! Suzuki chased Takagi away from the tram, promising not to let Takagi escape until they reach the ends of Hell!

1. Special Single Match: Hyper Rika defeated Demonio Uno with the I Am A Hero from the Ladder (11:45).

While Hyper Misao is recovering from her ankle injury, Rika Tatsumi and Yuki Aino helped put together a fan event for her to help pay for her medical expenses. During the event the lights went out and a video of Demonio Uno played on the screen. There was negative aura inside LOFT9 Shibuya that attracted Uno to the venue. Normally Misao would be the hero and save the day but she is injured. Aino was also still feeling the effects of a recent illness. That means it was all up to Tatsumi to save the day!

Tatsumi was given Misao’s hero costume to change into and she returned to the room as Hyper Rika! Uno attacked Rika and chased her around the room. Misao helped out by spraying Uno in the face and Rika followed up by hitting Uno with the Hip Attack. Then on the stage Rika climbed a Ladder and used Misao’s finisher I Am A Hero to pin Uno for the three count.

1. Special Single Match: Toru Yano defeated Super Sasadango Machine with a School Boy (66:52).

48 years ago today Antonio Inoki and Muhammad Ali had their famous fight at the Nippon Budokan. That has nothing to do with today’s one match show between Sanshiro Takagi and Super Sasadango Machine. Instead the novelty of this match was the 51 kinds of tickets that were sold for the show, many of which allowed the ticket holders to have an interactive role of some sort. The majority of them sold out too! The only tickets that did not have any takers was the one priced 999,999 yen with a luxery gift watch included and also a ticket that allowed a fan to present a home made prize to the winner.

Many of the tickets gave fans different roles on the show, from getting to read out the pre-match announcements, hitting the ring bell, taking command of the ring lights, being the ringside seconds for either wrestler, acting as the ringside photographer and more. There were also four “Surprise Experience” tickets sold that allowed people to intefere in the match. It was announced beforehand that the ticket buyers were pro wrestlers Cherry, Erina Yamanaka, Hen China and Maku Donaruto.

When the match began Takagi and Sasadango kept it simple for the opening minutes. Then all of a sudden Toru Yano arrived in the venue to present Takagi with sake and a bouquet of flowers. Sasadango had spent the week trying to get Yano to attend the show but couldn’t get him to commit. However he decline to stick around to watch the match and left.

Takagi Hit Sasadango with the bouquet and then spat the sake in Sasadango’s face as they fought outside the ring. One of the tickets allowed Takagi and Sasadango to fight next to a fan and pose for pictures with them. Once they found the fan they gave him a close look at their fighting and held something like a group photo for him.

After that the four surprise wrestlers did their interference spots one by one Royal Rumble entry style. Cherry was first and said she came to express her gratitude to Takagi. She did that by putting him in an Achilles Tendon Hold. Erina Yamanaka ran in and hit Takagi with a Thrusting Knee strike in the corner. Hen China brought out a long rubber strap, got fans to stretch it back and then let it go so it snapped into Takagi’s face. Maku Donaruto turned things blue by doing lewd things to whoever he could get his hands on.

Takagi fled the ring and went over to the seat where fans a prohibited from laughing. There he found Stardom wrestler Momo Kohgo in the seat and he couldn’t help but laugh. He had to be punished for breaking the rule so Kohgo spanked him with a bat. Kohgo started laughing as well so Takagi grabbed the bat and spanked her back. More people started to laugh including those sitting in the celebrity seats so soon everybody was getting spanked!

Back in the ring the four surprise wrestlers started to gang up on Sasadango. He called a time out so the person who bought a ticket to be his substitute could come in and get stamped instead. The wrestlers didn’t even notice the substitution even happened until Hisaya Imabayashi pointed out the person’s impressive chest hair.

More ticket guarantees were claimed including those celebrating birthdays. One ticket in particular that had a lot of offers was to celebrare a person’s retirement. A woman bought the ticket for her father who recently retired from a career he worked in for 42 years. He was given the full blown pro wrestling retirement ceremony and used “Spartan X” as his music.

More celebrities and random guests including a Jushin Liger lookalike got to be involved in the match. It took around 45 minutes for all of the ticket guarantees to be used up. By that point Takagi and Sasadango agreed to fight each other fair and square until the finish.

However after a Double Lariat knocked both wrestlers down, Sasadango grabbed the microphone. He said once the match ends they will never have to fight each other anymore and that makes him sad. He doesn’t want to settle their rivalry after all! Takagi agreed and Sasadango brought up his latest PowerPoint presentation.

There is one person that Sasadango wants to fight because of the #OhkaEmpire show that took place nine years ago. That show happened during the height of DDT’s working relationship with New Japan and the main event was HARASHIMA & Ken Ohka beating Hiroshi Tanahashi & Yohei Komatsu (now known as YOH) in the main event. It turns out that a certain Toru Yano was incredibly angry about the result at the time. When Sasadango found out about it he knew that someday he would have to fight him to continue the DDT Vs New Japan rivalry. That day is today!

Takagi gave Sasadango his blessing to change the match into Sasadango Vs Yano. Out came Yano in his full ring gear and he quickly started removing the ring corner pads. He lured Sasadango out of the ring and taped his legs together. The ringside seconds wearing Sasadango masks helped the real one return to the ring in time to avoid the count out.

Sasadango then dared Yano to tape his own feet together so they could fight each other on even terms. He agreed to do it just because he was defending the honour of New Japan. Yano then realised he couldn’t give Sasadango a Low Blow so he grabbed a pair of scissors. Sasadango took the scissors from him and tried to cut his hair off. When the ref stopped him Sasadango then pulled off his own mask and placed it over Yano’s face like a blindfold.

Yano was given two Lehmann Shocks but he kicked out of the pin. He then pleaded just like Sasadango did to have the tape cut off so they could fight on even terms again. Sasadango did so, the two shook hands and then Yano gave him a Low Blow. Yano then took off his own shirt, pulled it over Sasadango’s face and rolled him up with a School Boy to win the match.

Sasadango thanked Yano for coming to the show today despite his busy schedule. He removed his King Of Sasadango title belt from his waist and presented it to Yano for beating him. Yano said it is an honor to receive this belt but also too heavy of a burden for him to handle so he gave it back to Sasadango and left the ring.

At the end of the show Takagi promised he will fight Sasadango again after he comes back from his break from pro wrestling. Sasadango was disappointed he lost the latest DDT Vs New Japan match but is certain Konosuke Takeshita will get revenge when he enters the G1 Climax this summer. Backstage Takagi praised Sasadango/Muscle Sakai for being a genius promoter because today’s show barely had any personnel costs nor staff fees!

YuuRI Wins ICE×∞ Title In Ice Ribbon

2. Ancham, Tsukina Umino & Nanae Furukawa defeated Totoro Satsuki, Yuna Manase & Asuka Fujitaki when Umino pinned Satsuki with a Hurricanrana (16:31).
6. ICE×∞ Title Decision Match: YuuRI defeated Hamuko Hoshi with the Swanton Bomb (21:53).
*YuuRI becomes the 38th ICE×∞ Champion!

One of the places you will often find YuuRI wrestle in away from Ganbare☆Pro is Ice Ribbon. She’s been doing pretty well there too, going as far as to win the ICE×∞ Title last summer. Earlier this year the ICE×∞ Title had to be vacated when the champion Ibuki Hoshi, the person who won the belt from YuuRI, announced she was pregnant. Ice Ribbon held a league tournament to determine a new champion and the final came down to YuuRI versus Hamuko Hoshi (who just so happens to be Ibuki’s mother). YuuRI broke Hoshi down with Thrust Kicks and Buzzsaw Kicks until she could hit the Swanton Bomb. One wasn’t enough so YuuRI had to hit it again to win the tournament and become champion again. In her victory speech she declared herself the superhero of Ice Ribbon! GanPro will always be her home but she considers Ice Ribbon her second home and does not want to be considered an outsider champion this time round.

Yuna Manase also likes to spend time wrestling in Ice Ribbon. She has a tag team here with Totoro Satsuki called BIG★DEKAI!!! and they are currently the International Ribbon Tag Team Champions (YuuRI held the title last year too). They have yet to have a title defence, instead they wrestled on this show with Asuka Fujitaki losing a 6-Woman Tag Match against Ancham, Tsukina Umino & Nanae Furukawa.

2a. Rematch: Danshoku Dieno & Kazuki Hirata defeated Keigo Nakamura & Kazuma Sumi when Dieno pinned Sumi with the Danshoku Driver (4:46).
3. Smile Squash Vs DAMNATION T.A!: Daisuke Sasaki & MJ Paul defeated HARASHIMA & Akito when Sasaki submitted Akito with the Crossface Lock (10:20).
4. Sanshiro Takagi Indefinite Rest Road ~ Special 6-Man Tag Match: Sanshiro Takagi, Jun Akiyama & Yoshitatsu defeated Yuki Iino, Yukio Naya & Yuya Koroku when Yoshitatsu pinned Koroku with the Yoshi Jam (12:09).
5. Special Single Match: Tetsuya Endo defeated KANON with the Burning Star Press (15:12).
6. The 37KAMIINA Vs SCHADENFREUDE International!: MAO & Shunma Katsumata defeated Chris Brookes & Takeshi Masada when MAO pinned Masada with the Iai Kick (21:06).

The 37KAMIINA continues their strong run lately with another main event win. After the match MAO told the fans he will definitely win the KO-D Openweight Title next month, Shunma Katsumata will continue to defend the DDT Extreme Title and will soon along with To-y win the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles with a third guy he doesn’t know about.

However the KO-D 6-Man Tag Titles are currently being held captive by DAMNATION T.A. Well, at least two of the three title belts are. Daisuke Sasaki & MJ Paul beat HARASHIMA & Akito from Smile Squash and then stole their belts after a post-match attack. Then when DAMNATION T.A left the ring, Katsumata & To-y came in to challenge Smile Squash for the titles like they did yesterday. Though they still refuse to tell anyone who their other tag partner will be. HARASHIMA & Akito both accepted the challenge because HARASHIMA likes the idea of the 6-Man Tag Titles being defended in a 3 Way Match. Backstage Sasaki said the titles do not suit Smile Squash. Instead it will be DAMNATION T.A “defending” the belts against whoever they deem worthy enough at Sumo Hall.

6. Miyu Yamashita, Moka Miyamoto & Toga defeated Suzume, Arisu Endo & Kaya Toribami when Miyamoto submitted Endo with the Rashomon (13:27).
7. Miu Watanabe & Wakana Uehara defeated Rika Tatsumi & HIMAWARI when Watanabe pinned HIMAWARI with the Tear Drop (13:01).

Two regular tag teams were mixed together in the main event. Daydream were having a prelim match against each other that also had Wakana Uehara and HIMAWARI involved. Rika Tatsumi & HIMAWARI worked together to get Uehara out of the way but Miu Watanabe came in to clean house. She got rid of Tatsumi with a Power Slam and then pinned HIMAWARI with the Tear Drop. Watanabe said the match made her more excited for “SUMMER SUN PRINCESS ’24” on 20th July. However she does not have a good read on Tatsumi yet. Tatsumi admits that Watanabe has become a real threat in the ring and today she felt the pain that she least wants to experience.

In a little bit of an upset Moka Miyamoto made Arisu Endo give up to the Rashomon in a 6-Woman Tag Match! The result came from Miyamoto countering out of Endo’s Ju no Okite finisher. Miyamoto reminded everyone afterward that she wants to fight for a championship soon. She laid out those plans after her match with Hikaru Shida earlier this month. Well based on today’s result Miyamoto now wants to challenge Daisy Monkey for the Princess Tag Team Titles. She will go look for a tag partner who can fight with the same passion she has. Both Suzume & Endo see her as an opponent they have to beat so they will accept her challenge.

Pom Harajuku brought along unagi pies as souvenirs for almost everyone in her match including the referee. She did not have any left for Yuki Kamifuku and Maki Itoh wouldn’t share any of hers. That caused Kamifuku to get upset and spend most of the match crying outside the ring while Itoh had to fight RakuPom by herself. Raku put Itoh into a Sleeper Hold, forcing a desperate Itoh to tell Kamifuku she can take her souvenir just so she will get back into the match and help her win.

Shizuoka’s own Shino Suzuki was given a special match against Nao Kakuta as part of Kakuta’s retirement road. Suzuki came close to winning with a Sleeper Hold but Kakuta was able to get a rope break and then win with the Shiden Kai. She was surprised to discover first hand just how much potential Suzuki has. It reminds her of herself when she was a rookie. Kakuta will be watching Suzuki from a distance soon and hopes she will rapidly grow in an environment as wonderful as Tokyo Joshi Pro.

Yuki Aino was pulled from the show because she was feeling unwell. That changed the card a little bit resulting in Mizuki Vs Runa Okubo and Mahiro Kiryu Vs Chika Nanase both happening.

-. Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title: CIMA defeated Keigo Nakamura (c) with a School Boy (6:48 pm).
*CIMA becomes the 1,647th champion.
7. Special Tag Match: MAO & Shunma Katsumata defeated Yukio Naya & Yuki Ishida when MAO pinned Ishida after the Our Mad Max (19:56).

The show was missing Yuki Ueno due to illness and Kazusada Higuchi due to injury so MAO took it as an opportunity to take the reigns of DDT in their absence. He and Shunma Katsumata wanted to do their best and since Ueno was missing, MAO became bold and said he will definitely beat him for the KO-D Openweight Title at Sumo Hall on 21st July! He also congratulated Yuki Ishida for moving to Osaka and is confident he will become a success here with his sumo endeavors.

The long awaited team-up of Sanshiro Takagi & CIMA lasted five seconds. In a reverse of what usually happens, Kazuki Hirata immediately rolled up Takagi for the three count. Takagi accepted defeat, leaving CIMA confused. It’s been over three years since CIMA was last in DDT and the Takagi that he knows would not take this lying down. He demanded a rematch this time under Captain’s Fall Rules. The other side agreed and the match restarted with CIMA and Hirata as the captains. Danshoku Dieno with the help of Makoto Oishi set up the Hell Gate but CIMA avoided that terrible fate. Instead Takagi gave Hirata the Stunner and stabbed Dieno with the Kancho while CIMA pinned Hirata with the Somato.

Takagi said he was happy for the chance to team with CIMA before going on his break. CIMA suggested that DDT and GLEAT do another joint show in the near future, this time in Osaka. As he went to leave the ring he noticed Keigo Nakamura was holding the ropes down for him while wearing the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title. CIMA acted nice towards him but it was only so he could roll him up in the ring and win the Iron Man Title from him! Backstage Takagi warned CIMA the belt is on the line 24 hours and he won’t be able to get any sleep because of it. He was proven right because Tsutenkakka then tried to attack CIMA in a failed attempt to win the belt.

Both Chris Brookes & Takeshi Masada tried hiding in the audience during Tetsuya Endo & Yuya Koroku’s entrance but their opponents caught them anyway. Endo then insulted Masada for not having any friends but apparently he did have some in the audience.

After HARASHIMA’s match both To-y & Katsumata entered the ring. To-y told HARASHIMA that The 37KAMIINA wants a shot at the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles and Katsumata was going to be one of his partners. HARASHIMA pointed out that Smile Squash are already scheduled to defend the belts against DAMNATION T.A at Sumo Hall on 21st July. But if To-y wants the match then he will talk to Akito & Yasu Urano about it. However he noticed that To-y & Katsumata need another partner. The two muttered to each other and announced they know who the other member of their team will be. Except they refused to tell anyone who it is. Yukinori Matsui got mad at them for keeping it a secret and told them the challenge was not official yet.

*Harimao fails in V5. Astronauts becomes the 12th Iron Fist Tag Team Champions!

That’s all she wrote for Harimao’s run as the Iron Fist Tag Team Champions. The titles now belong to Astronauts! It happened when Fuminori Abe trapped Ryota Nakatsu in the Manjigatame while Takuya Nomura cut off Kazusada Higuchi by putting him in a similar submission hold. Abe told Nomura after the match they will go on a fierce road of title defences that only they can do. Not only are they going to liven up BASARA but the rest of the wrestling world too! They are even thinking about defending the belts overseas.

In a manner similar to Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi’s recent disappearances, Ryuichi Sekine wasn’t anywhere to be found for his match today (apparently he took a nap somewhere backstage and overslept). Luckily a replacement was found in a newcomer called Karate Master. Just like Judomaster his martial arts talents are cancelled out by his lack of pro wrestling knowledge. However he did know how to pin his opponent and did so after hitting Judomaster with a Karate style Diving Fist Drop. After the match Minoru Fujita and Takumi Tsukamoto continued to fight each other. Fujita blamed it on the karate gi he wore for the match. He claims it made him more fired up than usual so he will never wear it again.

Last month SAGAT and Gouma Ryu had a confrontation that included Ryu objecting to SAGAT making Superman references without permission to use the trademark. That must have all been solved this month because SAGAT wore his Superman inspired gear, Antonio Honda was straight up wearing a full Superman costume and Ryu revealed during the match he was also wearing a Superman costume beneath his suit. Unfortunately their superpowers werent’ strong enough and Daichi Kazato rendered Ryu unconscious by grabbing the trigger points in his shoulders.
