1. DDT Extreme Title & Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title – Falls Count Anywhere Survival 5 Way Match: Shunma Katsumata (E/c) defeated Yukio Naya, To-y, Ilusion and Kazuma Sumi (I/c) (55:20).
1a. Shunma Katsumata, To-y, Ilusion and Kazuma Sumi eliminated Yukio Naya by Pinfall (37:09).
1b. To-y eliminated Ilusion by Referee Stoppage (45:33).
1c. Shunma Katsumata and Kazuma Sumi eliminated To-y by Pinfall (47:27).
1d. Shunma Katsumata eliminated Kazuma Sumi with the Totonou Splash from the wall through the Table (55:20).
*V4 for Shunma Katsumata. Shunma Katsumata becomes the 1,644th Iron Man Heavymetalweight Champion.

Two championships were on the line when DDT paid a visit to the Aqua Yukari spa in Chiba. The Survival 5 Way Match was originally just meant to be for the DDT Extreme Title held by Shunma Katsumata. But recently Kazuma Sumi won the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title and since the match was elimination rules, somebody was going to end up as a double champion by the end of the match. Hisaya Imabayashi was there to make sure things did not get too out of control.

The spa features more than just a sauna and a swimming pool. The five wrestlers fought all over the place, taking everyone down stairways, through an arcade and past the café. There was also a karaoke booth where Sumi asked Imabayashi for money so he could sing a song or two for everyone. Sumi then wanted to take the fight over to the women’s bath area but Imabayashi told him it is out of bounds for them and they should go to the men’s bath instead.

In the men’s area Katsumata and To-y both tried to drown each other in the bath. There was a Headscissors chain formed with Yukio Naya at the end turning everyone over with a Crab Hold. He then threw everyone into the cold bath including Imabayashi and Keigo Nakamura. Then Ilusion got some payback by avoiding a Choke Slam and then sending Naya into the cold bath too.

Next place to visit was the sauna room. At this point Naya was getting tired and the increasing heat made things worse. He rushed out of the room and collapsed to the ground. Sumi covered him but he kicked out. Then everyone piled on top of Naya for the pin and he became the first elimination of the match. The remaining wrestlers went to sit outside but almost all got counted out because they were so relaxed it was like being knocked out.

Over at the pool the wrestlers started doing some high risk dives into the water. However To-y got a hold of him and submerged him under water. After a few moments To-y reemerged holding up Ilusion’s mask in the style of Robin Mask Vs Atlantis! Only Daisuke Kiso could see what happened to Ilusion beneath the water. He declared Ilusion was unable to continue so he was eliminated from the match!

To-y then found a giant plastic balloon to trap Katsumata and Sumi in. Once they were stuck inside, To-y got a hose and tried to fill it with water. However the other two overpowered him and rolled the balloon on top of To-y to pin him for the next elimination.

The final two wrestlers went back outside to finish the match. They attacked each other with chairs ending with Katsumata getting the upper hand. He put Sumi onto a table and then climbed a ladder next to it. Using the Totonou Splash, Katsumata put Sumi through the table and got the three count. He not only successfully defended the Extreme Title but won the Iron Man Title too!

Sadly however that reign did not last the night. Sometime after the match ended Katsumata found a place to sleep underneath a blanket. Nakamura and Kiso entered the room and Nakamura had a plan. He told Kiso to count the blanket pinning Katsumata because Katsumata was lying flat on his back. Kiso did so, making the Blanket the new Iron Man Champion! Nakamura then grabbed the blanket and put it in a Sleeper Hold. Kiso lifted up the other end of the blanket and dropped it three times. It didn’t respond so Kiso declared Nakamura knocked it out to win the championship!

4. Tetsuya Endo, Yuki Iino & Yuya Koroku defeated Atsushi Kotoge, Black Menso-re & Yuto Kikuchi when Endo pinned Menso-re with the Swivel Torture Rack Bomb (11:49).
5. Beast Vs Harimao: Kazuyuki Fujita defeated Kazusada Higuchi with the Kick To The Face (9:13).
7. Go Shiozaki 20th Anniversary Match -DEPARTURE 2024-: Go Shiozaki & Jun Akiyama Vs Naomichi Marufuji & Takashi Sugiura ended in a Time Limit Draw (30:00).

Some of the DDT related storylines over at the NOAH “LIMIT BREAK” shows came to an end today while one in particular is continuing on up until DDT’s next Sumo Hall show. The main event was Go Shiozaki’s 20th anniversary match and he picked Jun Akiyama as one of the other particpants. Akiyama was in Shiozaki’s debut match and the two have been an integral part of each other’s careers since then. Together they faced Naomichi Marufuji & Takashi Sugiura while special guest Kenta Kobashi watched from the commentary booth. The match lasted the entire thirty minute time limit without a winner. Akiyama said he was glad to be invited to Shiozaki’s big day and he’ll see him again somewhere down the line.

The battle between two hard headed brutes from NOAH and DDT was built up on previous Limit Break shows. Today Kazusada Higuchi finally got to fight Kazuyuki Fujita one on one. When the dust settled it was Fujita who hit harder. He countered the Buchikamashi sumo charge with a Lariat and then kicked Higuchi in the face twice for the pinfall. Fujita said the match was not about winning or losing. It was about himself and Higuchi hitting each other with all of their might. Higuchi admitted he was completely defeated today. He will have to start from scratch build himself back up from here.

Shiozaki will be teaming with Atsushi Kotoge at DDT’s Sumo Hall show next month to challenge BURNING for the KO-D Tag Team Titles. On today’s show Kotoge got a preview of what to expect from the champions in the form of a 6-Man Tag Match against them. He & Yuto Kikuchi had Tetsuya Endo on the ropes and left it up to Black Menso-re to finish him off. Endo turned the tables using the Tetsuya In The Sky and pinned Menso-re with the Torture Rack Bomb. Endo asked Kotoge if this match has fired him up. It might not matter because Endo thinks at this rate the title match has already been decided. He likes Kikuchi though and wouldn’t mind coming over to Dotonbori Pro sometime to wrestle him again. Yuki Iino swears Shiozaki’s Chops won’t hurt him when they fight each other again. Yuya Koroku was happy to be booked on the show and would like to take part in more Limit Break events in the future.

1. Tokyo Joshi Pro Offer Match: Mizuki & Nao Kakuta defeated Miyu Yamashita & Yuki Kamifuku when Mizuki pinned Yamashita with the Cutie Special (?:??).

This is a bizarre turn of events. Fashion designer Alexander Wang held an event in Shibuya tonight featuring a whole lot of rappers, models, influencers, dancers and also a wrestling match provided by Tokyo Joshi Pro. It turns out Wang is a TJPW fan and he’s been wanting to work something with them for a while. He got TJPW to put together a match between Mizuki & Nao Kakuta against Miyu Yamashita & Yuki Kamifuku for the show. The match had been advertised in the event’s marketing materials for at least a week but I only found out about it a few hours ago when video clips appeared online of Kanye West performing one of his songs in the ring with Ty Dolla $ign. In a world that’s only getting crazier you can add “Ye watches TJPW” to the list.

As for the match itself I was able to find clips of what happened from the Instagram account dutchsix and the picture I used above is taken from Kamifuku’s Instagram. The women wrestled in black and white outfits instead of their usual costumes. Sayuri Namba was also in attendance to do her usual ring announcing duties. The match finish saw Mizuki give Yamashita the Whirling Candy followed by the Cutie Special for the three count. This isn’t the first time joshi wrestling has crossed paths with the fashion world. Over in America there is Sukeban that has recently become the leading example of Japanese women’s wrestling becoming avant-garde stateside. Judging by the clips Wang seemed to be thrilled with how the match turned out so maybe something more can happen in the future (or maybe not because apparently the guy is sketchy as hell).

1. Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title – 5 Way Match: Kazuma Sumi (c) defeated Shunma Katsumata, Yukio Naya, To-y and Ilusion when Sumi pinned Katsumata after the Choke Slam from Naya (4:54).
*V? for Kazuma Sumi.
2. Akito, Kazusada Higuchi & Toru Owashi defeated Chris Brookes, Takeshi Masada & Yuni when Akito submitted Yuni with a Figure 4 Leg Lock (7:34).
3. Sanshiro Takagi Indefinite Rest Road ~ Special Single Match: Sanshiro Takagi defeated Kazuki Hirata with the Stone Cold Stunner (7:06).
4. Special Single Match: Danshoku Dieno Vs Makoto Oishi ended in a No Contest (2:55).
4a. Rematch: Takeshi Masada & Ilusion defeated Danshoku Dieno & Makoto Oishi when Masada pinned Oishi with the Masada No Chikara KOBU Mukimuki (1:58).
5. BURNING Vs DAMNATION T.A!: Daisuke Sasaki, KANON & MJ Paul defeated Tetsuya Endo, Yuki Iino & Yuya Koroku when KANON submitted Koroku with the Just Cobra Twist (9:10).
6. Special Tag Match: Yuki Ueno & Fuminori Abe defeated HARASHIMA & Keigo Nakamura when Ueno submitted Nakamura with the Blackout Sleeper (14:49).
7. DDT Universal Title: MAO (c) defeated Shiryu with the Michinoku Driver II (19:45).
*V9 for MAO.

Big stakes were put together for the DDT Universal Title match. Shiryu will be retiring in Michinoku Pro next week and thinks it would be suitable if he became a champion when it happens. Then Kaz Hayashi approached him, passing along the challenge from MAO. The match would be the closest MAO could ever get to doing The 37KAMIINA Vs Kaientai☆DX. Shiryu warned MAO he would do anything it takes to beat him for the belt today. MAO understood and even made a request on the day of the show. If Shiryu wins then MAO wants him to seal the Universal Title away when he retires because Shiryu deserves to keep a championship with the word “Universal” attached to it. During the match Shiryu proved he would do anything to win by brawling with MAO away from ringside. When they returned MAO’s head was bleeding and Shiryu had swapped his face mask for his heel mask. A ref bump back in the ring led to Shiryu attacking MAO with a chair and followed it up with a Power Bomb onto a table that MAO bounced right off. MAO regained control though hitting a Whirlwind Kick, Palm Strike and Iai Kick. He then used a familiar Kaientai☆DX finisher the Michinoku Driver II to win the match. MAO said when the switch was flipped halfway through the match he figured out just how much of an influence Shiryu was for him. Shiryu is a strange guy but MAO is even stranger! He will be taking a break from defending the Universal Title for now because he wants to focus on the KO-D Openweight Title match with Yuki Ueno coming up next month.

TOKYO FM Hall is seen as the holy land for Fuminori Abe because the venue was home to Battlarts in the 1990s. So he was very motivated to wrestle there today and wanted Yuki Ueno to work just as hard as he does. Ueno told Abe the next time he comes to DDT they should wrestle each other. He thinks that would be more fun than teaming together. Even after they won their match he can’t figure out why they were paired together for the show. Abe also thinks Keigo Nakamura looks like a Mokugyo. He wants to see Nakamura turn his rebellious spirit into passion.

After that match took place, HARASHIMA & Akito were attacked by DAMNATION T.A backstage. Hisaya Imabayashi tried to stop them but Daisuke Sasaki attacked him too, sticking a clothes hanger into his mouth and holding him hostage until he gets a rematch against Smile Squash for the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles. Akito reluctantly agreed because he thinks the former champions do have the right for a rematch despite their actions. He also wants it to happen on the biggest stage so the match will happen at Sumo Hall on 21st July!

A supposed lifelong grudge between Danshoku Dieno and Makoto Oishi was pushed to the side when their match got changed midway through. Dieno couldn’t keep his behaviour under control and ended up stripping both Takeshi Masada and Ilusion down to their underwear. The match was ruled a No Contest due to this. Masada & Ilusion then demanded a match against Dieno & Oishi so they can get some payback. Together they physically manipulated Dieno into giving Oishi the Danshoku Driver before picking up the win themselves when Masada pinned Oishi with his finisher.

The first of two 5 Way Matches happening this month was for the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title being held by Kazuma Sumi. But when the match began it was Shunma Katsumata who was targeted by the other four. He was able to fight off most of them except for Yukio Naya. By that point Naya became the man to beat with To-y and Ilusion joining forces to fight him off. Naya took control again and gave Katsumata the Choke Slam. But before he could make another move, Sumi hit Naya with a Missile Dropkick and landed on top of Katsumata, pinning him to win the match. Sumi is now confident he will win next week’s 5 Way Match with the DDT Extreme Title on the line so he can become a double crown champion. The five wrestlers got into more arguements with each other backstage as the match.

5. Mizuki, Raku & Pom Harajuku defeated Shoko Nakajima, Yuki Aino & Haru Kazashiro when Mizuki pinned Kazashiro with the Cutie Special (12:04).
6. Miu Watanabe & Moka Miyamoto defeated Yuki Kamifuku & Wakana Uehara when Watanabe submitted Uehara with the Reverse Paradox (9:57).
7. Miyu Yamashita & Maki Itoh defeated Vert Vixen & LA Taylor when Yamashita pinned Taylor with the Crash Rabbit Heat (13:56).

It was a successful return home for 121000000. The Fukuoka team of Miyu Yamashita & Maki Itoh faced off against the foreign pairing of Vert Vixen & LA Taylor. It was considered to be a perfect matchup by Yamashita because of how much she and Itoh have been wrestling around the last couple of years. By working together, 121000000 sandwiched the other team together with a combined High Kick and Headbutt attack from opposite sides. Taylor was the legal woman in the match so Yamashita hit her with a short-range Skull Kick and then finished her off with the Crash Rabbit Heat.

Backstage 121000000 talked about the differences with wrestling in Japan and America. Yamashita noticed that Itoh sometimes cheats in GCW but Itoh’s excuse is it’s because she teams with Nick Gage over there. She offered to get Yamashita a matching bandana. Meanwhile Vixen blamed Taylor for losing the match. Taylor defended herself because they are a team and they didn’t lose by herself. They will team again and next time Taylor won’t let Vixen down because they are friends.

Nao Kakuta and HIMAWARI wanted to have a match that only they could do together so Kakuta spent a lot of it grabbing and pulling HIMARWARI’s long hair. It was an effective plan because she kept on pulling at the hair to cut off HIMAWARI’s momentum. This kept going until Kakuta could give her the Shiden Kai to win. Even though that sounds like a dirty way to win, Kakuta and HIMAWARI got along after the match and told reporters backstage how much fun they had during it. The reporter asked HIMAWARI if she would consider getting a haircut. She answered if it ever got cut short she would be like a rabbit without ears or a zebra without stripes.

The show had the latest meeting of the Tokyo Joshi Tokusatsu Club. Tokusatsu fans Shoko Nakajima, Yuki Aino & Haru Kazashiro joined forces and tried to combine into one mighty warrior. They made the mistake of having Kazashiro as the base and she collapsed under the weight of carrying both Nakajima & Aino stacked on her shoulders.

9. Tetsuya Naito defeated Jake Lee with the Destino (26:32).

Not much to talk about this show in regards to DDT’s involvement with it. The show was also a bigger drawing disappointment than the first one so who knows if UJPW will hold another event like this anytime soon? Tetsuya Endo and Kazusada Higuchi were in the same match representing DDT on both teams. Endo & Ryohei Oiwa were originally meant to team with Shota Umino but Umino pulled out of the show after injuring his back during practice earlier in the day. New Japan replaced him with Oleg Boltin. Higuchi was on the same team as United Empire members Jeff Cobb & Great-O-Khan. While the DDT wrestlers did get to mix with the NJPW guys, the result came down to Cobb pinning Oiwa. Endo regretted missing the previous “ALL TOGETHER” show because of injury and went into the match hoping to make up for it. He is sorry he still couldn’t win with that kind of extra motivation.

I’ll talk about the dark match too because one team in it should be familiar to the regular readers here. Tomoya & Andreza Giant Panda were the local wrestlers competing in the dark match against New Japan’s Toru Yano & Tomoaki Honma. None of Yano’s usual tactics could work against Andreza so he grabbed some bamboo and gave it to Honma so he could get Andreza’s attention. The distraction worked and Yano gave Andreza a Low Blow. Honma followed up with a Kokeshi Rocket, almost knocking the panda out. Andreza just about answered the 10 count by standing back up at 9. However a mistimed Headbutt hit Tomoya by accident and Yano gave him a Low Blow followed by a School Boy to steal the win.

7. Mizuki, Yuki Aino & Vert Vixen defeated Miu Watanabe, Shoko Nakajima & Kaya Toribami when Vert Vixen pinned Toribami with a Vertical Drop Brainbuster (12:41).

It was Mizuki’s homecoming today but the attention was also on Vert Vixen by the end of today’s main event. Mizuki took out Miu Watanabe with the Whirling Candy so Vixen could isolate Kaya Toribami and pin her with a Vertical Drop Brainbuster. After the match she said she was honored to team with Mizuki & Yuki Aino. Mizuki said Watanabe & Shoko Nakajima were crazy in the match and she knew it wouldn’t be easy to turn Toribami into yakitori. The winners decided they will go eat Kobe beef to celebrate.

For the first time in 8 years Nao Kakuta got to wrestle Yuna Manase in a singles match. They were both with Actwres girl’Z at the time but that match in 2016 actually took place in WRESTLE-1. Here Manase blocked the Shiden Kai and got a nearfall with a Sliding Lariat. She told Kakuta she loved her before hitting another Lariat for the win. Kakuta said she made sure she wasn’t going to leave Manase out of her final matches before graduation because she learned so much from her. Manase said it still does not feel real that Kakauta is retiring. She is glad that this cute and gentle girl was able to wrestle for almost 10 years. Kakuta encouraged Manase to get stronger and Manase promised to get strong enough to destroy the ring!

Miyu Yamashita’s first match back in Japan saw her chase Pom Harajuku up to the balcony and then get locked up there so Harajuku & Mahiro Kiryu could fight Maki Itoh 2-On-1. Yamashita eventually found an open exit to get back to the ring and rejoin the match. 121000000 then cleared house to get the win. Itoh asked Yamashita why couldn’t she just jump from the balcony back into the ring? Yamashita said that is dangerous and then pointed out Itoh needed her help to win. They now have to be ready to take on Vixen and LA Taylor in their home of Fukuoka tomorrow.

Today really is a happy birthday for Runa Okubo because she won her tag match! She wants to celebrate by going to Harajuku to eat strawberry candy and the 10 Yen shaped cheesy bread. Haru Kazashiro wants to join in so she can eat some yakitori.

6. Kazusada Higuchi 10th Anniversary Match ~ Harimao Vs BURNING!: Kazusada Higuchi, Ryota Nakatsu & Yuki Ishida defeated Tetsuya Endo, Yuki Iino & Yuya Koroku when Higuchi pinned Koroku with the Kachiage (17:38).

This year both Kazusada Higuchi and Ryota Nakatsu are celebrating 10 years in the wrestling business. The anniversary of their pro debut isn’t until November but DDT wanted to dedicate today’s main event to Higuchi’s debut. Tetsuya Endo took the time to congratulate Higuchi while fighting him. Yuki Ishida cared more about shouting “Dosukoi!” in response to Yuki Iino shouting “BURNING!” Higuchi pulled out a Sumo move to win the match, hitting Yuya Koroku with a Kachiage elbow strike across the face for the three count after Koroku kicked out of the Doctor Bomb.

After the match Higuchi praised each member of Harimao, including Naomi Yoshimura who was at ringside with them. He is grateful to share the Iron Fist Tag Team Titles with Nakatsu in BASARA. Little by little, Harimao will continue to move forward. Backstage Iino talked about the recent news that he will be getting a G-REX Title shot in GLEAT on 1st July after he pinned the champion Hayato Tamura last week. He’s going to break Tamura with the Spear again, break the rest of BULK Orchestra and take the G-REX Title!

There was a preview tag match for the upcoming DDT Extreme Title 5 Way bout. Shunma Katsumata teamed with Yuki Ueno to beat Yukio Naya & Kazuma Sumi. Katsumata scored the pin on Sumi but praised both him and Naya after the match. He has the highest of expectations for his opponents when they go fight each other in the sauna on 21st June. However To-y felt left out because he wrestled in the match before them and thought that was more extreme than anything that happened in this match.

The reason why To-y thinks his match was more extreme is because it was a Drunk Tag Match. Every two minutes every wrestler in the match had to drink a cup of alcohol. A lottery randomly determined which alcohol everyone had to drink each time. Everyone eventually got too drunk to wrestle. Chris Brookes fell on his back and couldn’t get up. MAO climbed the ropes wanting to do the Cannonball 450 and he just drunkingly fell onto Brookes, pinning him anyway to win the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title. He then immediately lost it when Ilusion pinned him after the match. Ilusion’s title reign lasted one match when he reappeared in the ring with the rest of the Extreme Title participants. Kazuma Sumi cradled him to become the new champion, winning his first ever wrestling belt.

Sanshiro Takagi promised the Nariagari wrestlers that when he returns from his indefinite break he will appear on one of their shows. Even though it is an amateur promotion created by Danshoku Dieno, Nariagari also treats Takagi like a father figure.

Two different comedy acts performed during the show. The one during intermission is a fart artist who once competed in Britain’s Got Talent. The other act from the pre-show were dressed in Kinnikuman and Buffaloman costumes.

I’m only going to write about the DDT and BASARA related matches but I wanted to include results for the entire card because just look at it! I’d say this is a show full of Fire Pro matches but that reference is a bit old hat nowadays. The influence here is more GCW Spring Break and PWG Mystery Vortex given how much of a modern day wrestling nerd El Desperado is. He has spent the last two months handing out invitations to wrestlers he would like to be in the ring with for a special mystery show he was producing in Korakuen Hall. He also narrated the introductions for each match, either explaining why he put them together or revealing another unexpected surprise he had in store for everyone.

There were hints as to who got invited to take part in the show. Videos were posted on the event’s Twitter page teasing fans with clips of unknown wrestlers being handed the invitations. But one in particular took place in public at a recent DDT show. Desperado straight up asked Danshoku Dieno to come along with a partner of his choice because Despy wanted to see Pheromones chase some Bullet Club wrestlers around the venue. Dieno couldn’t bring Pheromones back so he thought of a good replacement. If El Desperado wanted to experience Pheromones so bad then he will be Dieno’s tag partner! After all this match was the main event and Despy should be headlining his own show.

Desperado was given a spare Danshoku costume and as he went off to get changed the other team made their entrance. It was the two managers of the current New Japan heel factions: Gedo from Bullet Club War Dogs and Dick Togo from House Of Torture! Dieno then did his big Pheromones introduction for El “Exotico” Desperado! The match was as close to the Pheromones experience as they could get away with as both Desperado & Dieno stripped down to their O-backs by the end of it. However Gedo & Togo worked saved each other from taking the Danshoku Driver. Togo gave Dieno the Pedigree and Gedo pinned him with the Gedo Clutch.

There was more DDT involvement elsewhere on the show. Both Chris Brookes and MAO were put into a Hardcore 4 Way Match with El Phantasmo and Masashi Takeda also involved. Desperado admitted in the introduction that he expected one of them to turn down the match because it sounded too dangerous and was surprised no one did. Brookes and MAO smashed each other with plastic boxes. Takeda threatened everyone with his large pair of scissors and eventually got to cut open Brookes’s forehead with it. MAO, ELP and Takeda all ended up underneath the ring and Brookes flushed them out by spraying a fire extinguisher beneath the apron. ELP then took out a literal clothesline with clothes pegs included. He pinched them to Takeda’s ears and Brookes’s nipples. MAO then wrapped the other end of the line around his foot and Super Kicked ELP, pulling the pinched pegs off of the other two! The match lasted the full twenty minute time limit without a winner and had to end in a four way draw.

Afterwards Brookes remained in the ring and got on the microphone. First, he said he would have won if the match lasted longer and complained that a 20 minute time limit is too short. He then told Desperado to get into the ring because he wanted to tell him something. They have known each other for a while but have never been in the ring at the same time until now. Brookes is tired of waiting so he is challenging Desperado to a match at “WRESTLE PETER PAN 2024” in Sumo Hall on 21st July! Despy agreed and shook Brookes’s hand. He then tried to pin him with a School Boy in an attempt to win the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title but Brookes kicked out and escaped.

Daisuke Sasaki got to be part of the show in the other 4 Way Match of the night. Despy wanted it to be a match filled with wrestlers who have lucha libre skills so Sasaki was in there with DOUKI, Eita and most unexpected of all Violento Jack! Lucha moves were used but Jack also brought out a board with sharp halves of plastic cans attached to them. None of the other three wanted to get slammed onto it so they all teamed up together and Super Power Bombed Jack onto it instead. They then piled on top of Jack to pin him for the three count. The referee determined all three pinned Jack at the same time so DOUKI, Eita and Sasaki were each declared winners.

There was even a pre-show match because Despy wanted to see Toru Yano wrestle in Match #0 of the card. He was accompanied by Hiroshi Tanahashi and both were dressed in yankii uniforms. Yano gave out a hint for who their other partner was going to be. He asked what was the name of the heroine played by Miho Nakayama in the movie Be-Bop High School? Tanahashi’s answer was Kyoko. Their partner is Kyoko Inoue and she entered the ring wearing a schoolgirl uniform! Their opponents were also a bunch of Yankees in the forms of Yuko Miyamoto, Isami Kodaka & DASH Chisako! Unfortunately for BASARA fans Kodaka took the fall when he was pinned with Tanahashi’s High Fly Flow. After the match Tanahashi & Yano both gave Inoue a kiss on the cheek at the same time.
