2. Hikaru Sato defeated Shinichiro Tominaga with a Wakikatame (12:07).
3. Moeka Haruhi’s Last Match Before Her Break: Moeka Haruhi, HARUKAZE & Yoshiko Hasegawa defeated Rina Amikura, YuuRI & Riara when Haruhi pinned YuuRI with the Diving Foot Stomp (11:31).
3a. Emergency Decision Moeka Haruhi Send-Off Battle Royal: Moeka Haruhi defeated Riara with a Cradle (5:27). Order Of Elimination: YuuRI, Shuichiro Katsumura, Yoshiko Hasegawa, Tyson Maeguchi, Keisuke Ishii, Yumehito Imanari, Yuki Kanzaki, Ken Ohka, Soma Takao, HARUKAZE, Mizuki Watase, Shota, Shinichiro Tominaga and Riara.
4. Special Tag Match: Soma Takao & Takuya Wada defeated Shuichiro Katsumura & Shota when Wada pinned Katsumura with a Cradle (11:44).
5. Mizuki Watase, Tsuyoshi Okada & Tyson Maeguchi defeated Keisuke Ishii, Yumehito Imanari & Ilusion when Maeguchi pinned Imanari with a Flying Knee Kick (14:54).
After the main event Takuya Wada entered the ring. He said “WRESTLE SEKIGAHARA II” next month is happening in his hometown of Ota Ward and he noticed the Spirit Of Ganbare Tag Team Titles are not on the card yet. He wants to challenge Hentai Punch Drunkers for the belts and he even found a tag partner. It’s Shuichiro Katsumura! The two fighters have been regular opponents in Ganbare☆Pro but in MMA they are training buddies from different weight classes. Katsumura agreed to team with Wada because he believes they are the only team who can beat the combination of Hikaru Sato & Tyson Maeguchi. Sato already left the building after his match so only Maeguchi was around to answer the challenge. He accepted it because he hasn’t been able to beat either Katsumura or Wada yet. However Michiyoshi Mishima decided not to book the match just yet in order to let Sato give his thoughts on the idea whenever he is able to.
A big sendoff was given to Moeka Haruhi for her final appearance in GanPro before going into surgery to donate a kidney to her sister. She scored the pinfall in the Ganbare☆Joshi match and then the ring started to fill up with the GanPro roster. Mizuki Watase said all of the men wanted to be a part of her final match too so they’re doing an impromptu Battle Royal with everyone involved right now! Haruhi ended up winning the Battle Royal too. She told the fans that GanPro has passion, intensity, even betrayal but GanPro also has kindness too. It is where wrestlers can cry tears for others. She is going to step away from the ring for a while and become a tag team partner for her ill sister. Together they will win the championship that says “Healthy” on the belts and then she will come back to wrestling.
Yuna Manase appeared before the semi-main event to announce a special GanJo match for “WRESTLE SEKIGAHARA II”. She called Riara down to the ring and then introduced her to her opponent at the show… Sayaka Unagi! Manase was having a hard time being away from the ring because of her injury so Unagi reached out to her and offered to help out GanPro. She asked Riara what did she want to do when she joined GanPro? Riara said she wanted to live out a dream she’s had since she was a little girl. She also told the fans that when she started out as a trainee, Unagi was the first person to give her encouragement. Unagi warned her that having a Ganbare spirit by itself is not enough for pro wrestling. She then slapped Riara across the face. On 9th July Unagi is going to assess Riara!

A big mixture of names join together for Magnitude Kishiwada’s 30th Anniversary. The masked man is teaming with Dick Togo & Black Buffalo. The three of them will face the trio of Sanshiro Takagi, Shigehiro Irie & Takeshi Masada.
This time it’s Tetsuya Endo who has to deal with the eternal Kuishinbo Kamen Vs Kikutaro rivalry, with some Antonio Honda added to the mix.

DDT “DDT TANABATA SPECIAL 2023 IN SHINJUKU”, 07/07/2023 Shin-Kiba 1st RING
1. KANON Debut 4th Anniversary Match: KANON, TAKA Michinoku
2. International Special Single Match: Yuki Ueno Vs Nick Wayne
Another big singles match for Nick Wayne during his DDT tour is happening here. After he’s done fighting Endo one on one, he gets to face Yuki Ueno in a singles match too.
KANON’s trainer TAKA Michinoku will be a part of his 4th Anniversary match. The match type has not been decided on yet because more wrestlers will be added to it soon.
The shit has hit the fan now boys and girls because Konosuke Takeshita has turned heel! What looked like a quiet month of recovery for the guy after getting injured by the Blackpool Combat Club in AEW instead ending with a bang with him betraying The Elite and solidifying his alliance with Don Callis. The angle has sent AEW fantasy booking into overdrive with fans now hoping this will lead into Kota Ibushi making his long awaited entry into the company to join the storyline. Kenny Omega is fanning the flames somewhat by telling the audience after Sunday’s PPV that he has friends from outside AEW he’s thinking about bringing in to even the numbers. Whatever happens next, it should become a big step forward for Takeshita’s AEW career.
Meanwhile May was the second full month for Miyu Yamashita in America. She has named her excursion the Kick Rampage Tour and continues to experience wins and losses across the country. She even started the month with a very busy weekend in England. Title matches in particular have been the big challenges she’s had difficulty with this month. While she’s been busy with that, Maki Itoh begun her own training excursion in America to prepare for her big Princess Of Princess Title match in July. So far her appearances have all been for GCW and she’s been thick in the action over there. Both Yamashita and Itoh will be staying in America for most of June along with Yuka Sakazaki.
Sakazaki’s story for this article is a little odd. She is currently in America travelling with AEW but has not wrestled any matches yet, as of the time I write this. That’s what happens when you get rid of Dark and Elevation but I digress. She is going to be wrestling in June but her visit seems to be more about preparations for life in America after she graduates from Tokyo Joshi Pro at the end of the year. Also I want to remind everyone she is a playable character in AEW: Fight Forever coming out at the end of June. She’s even in a photo for one of the game achievements. By the time June ends Yamashita, Itoh and Sakazaki will all be back in Japan for TJPW again but that won’t be the end of their international bookings this year by a long shot.

Results
EVE “LUCKY 13 – NIGHT 1”, 05/05/2023 The Dome, Tufnell Park, London, England
1. EVE Title – Iron Woman Match: Miyu Yamashita (c) (4) defeated Millie McKenzie (3) (30:00).
1a. Millie McKenzie (1) defeated Miyu Yamashita (0) with a German Suplex (5:05).
1b. Miyu Yamashita (1) defeated Millie McKenzie (1) with the Skull Kick (11:14).
1c. Millie McKenzie (2) defeated Miyu Yamashita (1) with an Inside Cradle (23:13).
1d. Miyu Yamashita (2) defeated Millie McKenzie (2) with a High Kick (23:20).
1e. Miyu Yamashita (3) defeated Millie McKenzie (2) with the Attitude Adjustment (24:34).
1f. Millie McKenzie (3) defeated Miyu Yamashita (3) with the Spear (26:20).
1g. Miyu Yamashita (4) defeated Millie McKenzie (3) with the Skull Kick (28:05). *V4 for Miyu Yamashita.
It’s the rivalry that went worldwide. Yamashita and Millie McKenzie have fought each other in Spain, England and Japan with a close win-loss record between them if you include their tag match in TJPW. McKenzie failed to win the EVE Title from Yamashita once before but she got a second chance on home soil. This time it was going to be a grueling 30 minute Iron Woman Match so there could be no question over who deserved to be champion. The battle left McKenzie as a bloody mess but she got the first pinfall early and was able to catch up when Yamashita took the lead. But the Skull Kick was the difference maker, giving Yamashita the winning fall and the two were left exhausted by the time the match reached its end.
EVE “LUCKY 13 – NIGHT 2”, 06/05/2023 The Dome, Tufnell Park, London, England
1. EVE Title: Miyu Yamashita (c) defeated Billie Starkz with the Skull Kick (12:00). *V5 for Miyu Yamashita.
With hardly even a good day’s rest, Yamashita defended the EVE Title again the next day against Billie Starkz. She and Starkz are going to have matches together in America soon enough but EVE also wanted to host one because they didn’t know if they would ever get another chance. That Yamashita was still the champion gave them the perfect opportunity to make it a title match too. The result here shows that even when Yamashita’s American excursion ends, she still has a second home with EVE in England. They haven’t seen the last of her at all.
NEW TEXAS PRO “SUPER TEXAS CONTENDERS SERIES 1”, 11/05/2023 Houston Premier Arena, Houston, Texas, USA
1. New Texas Pro Women’s Title: Hyan (c) defeated Miyu Yamashita with the Beauty Sleep (15:05). *V4 for Hyan.
A big main event spot was given to Yamashita and Hyan over at New Texas Pro. Hyan successfully defended her Women’s Title in a back and forth match, withstanding a High Kick to give Yamashita her version of the Glam Slam for the victory.
MAW “VENDETTA”, 13/05/2023 2nd St. Depot, Hastings, Minnesota, USA
1. Miyu Yamashita defeated Sierra (?:??).
Even though Sierra holds Midwest All-Star Wrestling’s women’s title, her match with Yamashita turned out to be a non-title bout. It was in the main event however and Yamashita won it. Would have been nice if she added another belt to her collection during this tour. Two is not enough!
HOG “BEWARE THE FURY”, 19/05/2023 Amazura, Queens, New York, USA
1. HOG Women’s Title: The Ultra Violette (c) defeated Miyu Yamashita after a Chairshot (10:46). *V5 for Violette.
Yamashita has dealt with interference from a heel unit before but I don’t remember anyone from NEO Biishiki-gun ever smashing a chair over her head. That is what happened here when The Ultra Violette got help from The Bookers to defend the HOG Women’s Title. Yamashita did her best to fend off the cheaters, kicking The Bookers off of the ring apron and landing the Skull Kick on Violette. But the referee was pulled out of the ring during the pinfall, Yamashita got knocked out with a chairshot and Violette’s limp arm was placed over her to get the three count.
AIW “GAUNTLET FOR THE GOLD 16”, 20/05/2023 Force Sports, Eastlake, Ohio, USA
1. Joseline Navarro defeated Miyu Yamashita with a Low Cross Body (?:??).
A result like this sounds like a massive upset but looking at Joseline Navarro’s run of results in AIW, she has a pretty strong win-loss record for the company. Still, Yamashita looked to have underestimated her. She didn’t realise Navarro shook off a High Kick to the head and was German Suplexed over to the corner of the ring. Yamashita got some momentum back but missed the Skull Kick and was German Suplexed again, this time head first into the bottom turnbuckle. Navarro followed up with a Basement Cross Body into the corner and that kept Yamashita down for the three count.
GCW “THE WAY I AM”, 20/05/2023 Harpo’s Theatre, Detroit, Michigan, USA
1. GCW World Title – 5 Way Match: Masha Slamovich (c) defeated LuFisto, Shazza McKenzie, Maki Itoh and Allysin Kay when Slamovich submitted McKenzie with (12:25). *V6 for Masha Slamovich.
This was originally going to be just Itoh against Shazza McKenzie in a singles match but in the week leading up to the show GCW thankfully changed plans. It was changed to a 6 Way Match featuring Masha Slamovich defending the GCW World Title against 5 other women, Itoh included. Then it turned out to be a 5 Way Match when Allie Katch was unable to make it to the show. Unlike Yamashita, Itoh can take a chair to the head and proved it by grabbing a chair and repeatedly headbutting it. Sadly she wasn’t able to become champion in the end.
GCW “I CAN’T SAVE YOU”, 21/05/2023 Valley Dale Ballroom, Columbus, Ohio, USA
1. Steph De Lander (w/ Matt Cardona) defeated Maki Itoh (w/ Nick Gage) with a Sit Out F5 (8:58).
The next night Itoh went face to face with a woman who is fast becoming her international nemesis, Steph De Lander. Both Nick Gage and Matt Cardona were there for their entrances but it was Cardona who ended up interfering when he stopped Itoh from using her pizza cutter. The distraction led to De Lander getting a cheap win.
GLORY PRO “GO FOR BROKE”, 21/05/2023 South Broadway Athletic Club, St. Louis, Missouri, USA
1. Miyu Yamashita defeated Tootie Lynn with the Skull Kick (12:26).
After a poor run of results Yamashita got things back on track by beating Tootie Lynn in the main event of a Glory Pro show. She even acted a little cheeky after the match, pulling back on a handshake only to give Lynn a hug afterwards. I think she liked wrestling her.
1. Triple Threat Match: Masahiro Takanashi defeated Big T and John Day (?:??).
2. SPW Queen Of Asia Title: Alexis Lee (c) defeated Saki Akai (?:??).
*V? for Alexis Lee.
3. SPW Southeast Asia Title: Aiden Rex (c) defeated Yukio Sakaguchi (?:??).
*V? for Aiden Rex.
This one slipped past me when it was announced last month. Eruption members Yukio Sakaguchi and Saki Akai went over to Singapore Pro Wrestling to challenge some of their champions. Both of them failed to win the belts with Sakaguchi losing to Aiden Rex and Saki Akai losing to Alexis Lee. The only DDT related win on the show was Masahiro Takanashi getting his hand raised after the 3 Way Match.
TITLE MATCH “LADIES NIGHT OUT: TRIPLE SHOT 2”, 26/05/2023 AML Wrestling Training Center, Winston-Salem, North Carolina, USA
1. Ladies Night Out Title – 3 Way Match: Angélica Risk defeated Janai Kai (c) and Miyu Yamashita when Risk pinned Yamashita after the Tornado Kick from Kai (?:??). *Janai Kai fails in V4. Angélica Risk becomes the 3rd Ladies Night Out Champion!
Janai Kai has become a favourite opponent for Yamashita during her tour and this time she had a chance to win a championship from her. But things got weird. Title Match were running three shows that day and promoted two matches for Yamashita. One against Kai and one against Angélica Risk. Then on the night it turned out to be just one match between all three wrestlers and it was the main event of the final show. Kai actually had Yamashita beat by hitting her with the Tornado Kick. But Risk got Kai out of the way and stole the pin to become the new champion.
GCW “LIFESTYLE”, 26/05/2023 Silver Nugget Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
1. Maki Itoh defeated Sandra Moone with the I.S.D. (9:18).
Itoh’s GCW adventure bounced back from last week’s losses by beating Sandra Moone in Las Vegas. She had no time to celebrate though because Cardona & De Lander attacked her immediately after the match. Gage ran down to the rescue, leading everyone to anticipate Maki Death Kill to team up again so they can cut their enemies apart!

2. Spark Joshi World Title: Miyu Yamashita Vs Rachael Ellering
Yamashita is one of the two wrestlers chosen to fight for the new Spark Joshi World Title with Rachael Ellering being the other. Itoh joins Yamashita for the first two Spark shows. She takes on Brittany Blake on the debut event.

WRESTLING REVOLVER “RING OF DESTINY”, 17/06/2023 Calumet Center, Dayton, Ohio, USA
1. JT Dunn (w/ Allie Katch) Vs Konosuke Takeshita
JT Dunn has had a few chances now at trying to beat Takeshita but has yet to find success. Things in Wrestling REVOLVER have been going way lately though. He and Allie Katch got engaged at the last REVOLVER show and they have been causing chaos over there as part of The Unit. Is Katch the difference maker Dunn needed all along? Will this match even make sense by the time it happens? It could become heel versus heel depending on how Takeshita will start acting in AEW after his recent actions.
GCW “THANK ME LATER”, 17/06/2023 Ukrainian Cultural Center, Los Angeles, California, USA
1. Rina Yamashita Vs Maki Itoh
If there is a joshi wrestler who has taken GCW even more by storm than Itoh, it is Rina Yamashita. She is the longest reigning GCW Ultraviolent Champion and also has the most defences in a single reign. Who will the GCW audience get behind more or will there be an audible split in support?
DPW “TAG FESTIVAL 2023”, 18/06/2023 Durham Armory, Durham, North Carolina, USA
1. Yuka Sakazaki & Mizuki Vs X & X
Of course Deadlock Pro is the first place in America to book The Magical Sugar Rabbits outside of TJPW!
EVE “NMITB”, 02/07/2023 The Dome, Tufnell Park, London, England
1. Eve Title: Miyu Yamashita (c) Vs Rhio or Emersyn Jayne
Last week EVE held a taping that had a No. 1 Contender’s match to determine Yamashita’s next challenger for her title. Videos of the show won’t be uploaded to their paid Youtube channel until June and the promoters asked their audience not to put any spoilers out anywhere. Those fans obliged and no results from the show can be found online. So right now I don’t know if it is Rhio or Emersyn Jane who is getting the title shot. Or even both if their match ended in a draw.
WEST COAST PRO “CRUEL SUMMER 2023”, 08/07/2023 United Irish Cultural Center, San Francisco, California, USA
1. Bryan Keith Vs MAO
There’s still going to be international wrestling for me to talk about after the women go back to TJPW. MAO will be going to America in July and West Coast Pro are giving him a doozy of an opponent. Bryan Keith might have the tools needed to deal with MAO’s crazy energy.

DDT confirmed that Chris Brookes dislocated his right shoulder yesterday. He will be resting for three weeks but no date has been given yet for when he can return to wrestling. This weekend’s shows have been changed around to make up for Brookes’ absence. Kazusada Higuchi is living up to his promise to help Brookes prepare for the KO-D Openweight Title match as much as he can and still intends to put Yuji Hino’s to the test this weekend.
The Yokohama show is changed a lot because of Brookes’ injury. Masahiro Takanashi replaces him in the main event, MAO now has to team with Mei Suruga again, Yuni will be teaming with Yuki Ueno to fight their bosses Sanshiro Takagi & Akito plus more changes were made down the card.

A little bit of worrying news comes from today’s Gatoh Move show. CDK were defending the Asia Dream Tag Team Titles against Shin Suzuki & Choun-Shiryu. During the match Shiryu gave Chris Brookes the Chinese Gory Special Bomb and Brookes injured his shoulder, stopping the match. Suzuki & Shiryu were declared the winners and Masahiro Takanashi handed them over the championship belts because the result counts as a title change. Takanashi reappeared later in the show to tell the fans that Brookes was on the way to the hospital for a diagnosis and his message to everyone is he’s feeling fine. The last thing DDT needs right now is another injury, especially to one of the headliners for their next Sumo Hall show.

The invitation was accepted and AEW is sending over Nyla Rose! The former AEW Women’s Champion has wrestled in Japan before but this will be her first time in TJPW. They’ve been opponents in tag matches on Dark before and they also once fought each other in a Triple Threat match along with Riho. This match however is the first time they will face off one on one.

1. Yoshiko Hasegawa Vs Miyuki Takase
2. Spirit Of Ganbare World Openweight Title: Mizuki Watase (c) Vs Isami Kodaka
The biggest show of the year for Ganbare☆Pro will be headlined with an inter-promotional match against BASARA with their biggest prize on the line. Mizuki Watase is defending the Spirit Of Ganbare Title against Isami Kodaka and both men will be carrying the flag for their respective promotions. The fighting talk between the two from yesterday suggests this won’t be the end to the rivalry. Watase has promised to continue defending the SOG Title against BASARA wrestlers after he beats Kodaka. In return Kodaka has offered to do the same with GanPro talent if he beats Watase for the belt.
Almost one year after she joined GanPro, Yoshiko Hasegawa gets a special singles match against her senpai Miyuki Takase. Hasegawa owes a lot to Takase for taking care of her during her absence away from wrestling. The best way she can pay her back is to show how much she has grown under GanPro and beat her in their first singles match against each other.
Freelance wrestler Kuma Arashi has suddenly offered to wrestle on GanPro shows after attending yesterday’s shows and being impressed with the company’s passion. He had a match in GanPro once before in 2020 back when he was signed to WRESTLE-1. The atmosphere he felt yesterday reminded him of W1 and convinced him to give this place another shot. He also wants to form a tag team with Ken Ohka while he is here.

4. Spirit Of Ganbare World Openweight Title Next Challenger: Isami Kodaka defeated Munetatsu Nakamura with the Diving Double Knee Drop (13:02).
The main event of “WRESTLE SEKIGAHARA II” on 9th July is now set. Isami Kodaka defeated Munetatsu Nakamura to become the No. 1 Contender on the last show of today’s tripleshot. He will now face Mizuki Watase for the Spirit Of Ganbare Title in the main event at Ota Ward Gymnasium! Kodaka bowed his head to Nakamura after the match and then called Watase into the ring. He told Watase he does not think high handedness suits Ganbare☆Pro so he is going to drag them to the bottom. Watase is eager for the competition and claims if he beats Kodaka on 9th July, he will then defend the SOG Title against every BASARA wrestler who is willing to challenge him. Kodaka responded that he will do the same with any GanPro wrestler should he win the championship. Watase promised to defend the title while carrying Nakamura’s feelings and also those of GanPro’s fans on his back.
After Ken Ohka’s team won the Elimination 6-Man Tag Match with a clean sweep, he was met with an appearance from somebody unexpected. Freelance wrestler Kuma Arashi entered the ring and introduced himself to the fans. He explained he was watching the match at the back and thought it is great how the GanPro wrestlers have a sense of unity with their fans. It reminded him of something similar in another place three or four years ago but this is even better than that. He asked Ohka if he could wrestle a match in GanPro? Ohka said he can feel Arashi’s passion for GanPro and he is welcome to become a member starting at “WRESTLE SEKIGAHARA II”! Arashi then asked if he can form a tag team with Ohka here in GanPro? Ohka loved the idea because nobody else has ever asked to team with him. Fans in the crowd tried to remind Ohka of his Daishoken team with Shuichiro Katsumura but he ignored them and accepted Arashi’s offer.
Due to “various reasons” both Choun-Shiryu and Moeka Haruhi were unable to be at this show so they were both replaced. Shiryu was replaced with Hong Kong International Policeman and Haruhi was replaced with Hong Kong International Women’s Policeman. The two cops promised to fight fair but it turned out to be anything but. Women’s Policeman was suspected to really be Haruhi when he skirt rolled up and revealed a swimsuit underneath, one that Haruhi was seen wearing on the previous GanPro show earlier in the day. International Policeman then revealed he had visited Haruhi’s home and confiscated some of her belongings, mainly a bunch of her stuffed toys. He demanded tha Haruhi eat a bag of crisps or he would execute the toys in the ring! She refused so he began shooting them one by one. When he pointed the gun at Mami-chan, the stuffed toy that’s been with Haruhi for 35 years, Haruhi jumped up and Dropkicked Policeman. She then put him in handcuffs and used them to apply the Straightjacket Hold, strangling Policeman unconcious until she was declared the winner by TKO.
Yoshiko Hasegawa was the replacement for YuuRI in the opening match when YuuRI was too ill to be at the show.

7. Special 6-Man Tag Match: Yuji Hino, Makoto Oishi & Darkside HERO! defeated Daisuke Sasaki, MJ Paul & Shogun Okamoto when Hino pinned Paul with the Fuckin’ BOMB (18:37).
The mystery wrestler on the Ω team today was somebody who hasn’t been in DDT in some form since 2011 and even then his last true appearance happened before that. It was Darkside HERO! His sudden apperance turned the match against DAMNATION T.A into a mostly heel versus heel affair. It looked like DAMNATION T.A were on the way to winning as the dirtier team but Daisuke Sasaki missed a chairshot and accidentally hit Shogun Okamoto instead. Darkside HERO! took out Okamoto with the Somato and Yuji Hino sealed the deal by pinning MJ Paul with the Fuckin’ BOMB. Makoto Oishi told Darkside HERO! that if Ω are ever in trouble again they will call him for help. Darkside HERO! promised to rush over whenever that happens.
It’s only a few times a year when Kota Umeda wrestle in DDT so he wants to make them count. He was on the losing side when the other hometown wrestler Yuki Ishida pinned Takeshi Masada. Umeda is currently one-half of the Kyushu Pro Tag Team Champions and he feels he should not be losing this way. So if there is ever a chance, he wants Kazusada Higuchi & Ishida to challenge him for the belts. Higuchi thought of the same idea and thinks it might be an interesting direction to go.
Jun Akiyama taught Toy Kojima a painful lesson today but it is also meant to be a motivating one. He won their match by locking in a Cross Armbreaker and getting the referee to stop the bout to save Kojima from injury. According to Akiyama backstage, the message was to never give up on your feelings even when you fail. If Kojima wants to be in the match for the vacant KO-D Tag Team Titles then he should not forget how he feels today and fight with all his might. Yuki Ueno also gave encouraging comments about Kojima, saying it is his energy that will help them win the vacant titles.

4. Yumehito Imanari’s GanPro 10th Anniversary Match: Ken Ohka & Keisuke Ishii defeated Yumehito Imanari & Shinichiro Tominaga when Ishii pinned Imanari with the Running Double Arm Driver (14:46).
There are two people who have been with Ganbare☆Pro from the very beginning, Ken Ohka and Yumehito Imanari. The latter was given the chance to celebrate his decade with the promotion today with his own produced show. He has run his own GanPro shows before but took a break for a long time. But when GanPro asked if he wanted to do another one, he felt like he should give it another try.
The main event was teaming with Shinichiro Tominaga to take on Ohka & Keisuke Ishii, all wrestlers who are the most close to him. Imanari did his best in the match but ultimately lost to Ishii. Afterwards Ishii told the fans he wants people to think it is okay to live like him and be dreamers. It’s hard work but he can dream about anything and feel fulfilled with what he does. In his 11th year with GanPro, he will continue to pursue his dream as a pro wrestler.
To show how much of a new age team Ilusion & Munetatsu Nakamura are, they entered to “New Genesis” by Ado and filmed some of their match on Instagram Live. Their opponents Shuichiro Katsumura & Shota entered to “Proof Of Courage” by Saburo Tokito and asked why the other team wasn’t using mixi or Livedoor? The two teams continued making different pop culture references from their generations as they fought each other.
The Battle Royal had every entrant using “POISON ~In This World Where I Can’t Say What I Want To Say~” by Takashi Sorimachi for their music. Everybody also imitated Imanari in some form. HARUKAZE was able to win by a fluke after she took Lariats in the corner from Soma Takao and Yuki Kanzaki. She staggered around afterwards and fell on top of both of them after they did a Rolling Cradle spot, scoring a double pinfall to win the match.
Imanari has always lived by the idea that if there is no one left to do anything, he will do it himself. So when YuuRI pulled out of today’s shows out of sickness, Imanari volunteered to take her place in the match against Moeka Haruhi. The whole appeal of the match was meant to be YuuRI and Haruhi wrestling each other in swimsuits that wouldn’t look out of place in All Japan Women’s matches of old. Imanari obliged to do the same in YuuRI’s place and fought Haruhi to a 10 minute draw in a swimsuit. Imanari thanked Haruhi for doing his selfish idea of a match and even though the match was a draw, Haruhi is unanimously the winner.

4. Mizuki Watase, Shuichiro Katsumura & Yuki Kanzaki defeated Yumehito Imanari, Tyson Maeguchi & Shinichiro Tominaga when Watase pinned Tominaga with the Venetian (20:45).
Earlier this week it was announced that Mizuki Watase will be entering this year’s Fire Festival tournament in ZERO1. He promised the fans he will win the prize sword, bring it back to Ganbare☆Pro and run straight towards Ota Ward Gymnasium!
Ken Ohka was eager to restart his rivalry with Minoru Fujita but his calls for them to start a fight were ignored. Fujita then blindsided Ohka after Daiki Shimomura distracted him. It led to an out of the ring brawl that almost ended in a double countout but everyone made it back in time. Another brawl happened out of the ring causing almost another countout. This time Fujita got back in first and grabbed Shota by the leg as he was re-entering the ring. That gave Fujita a chance to roll up Shota in the Samson Clutch and get the pinfall victory.
Early during Match #2 Soma Takao tried to convince Hartley Jackson to come do an event at the Dropkick Bar if Takao’s team wins. Takao was able to pin Mitch Ryder with the Official Endless Waltz after a German Suplex from Keisuke Ishii. It led to Takao successfully negotiating with Jackson after the match for an appearance at his bar.
YuuRI had to pull out of today’s shows due to illness. Shota went on double duty and took her place in the opening tag match.
Yoshiko Hasegawa Vs Miyuki Takase was announced for “WRESTLE SEKIGAHARA II” on 9th July to celebrate Hasegawa’s one year anniversary of joining the promotion. Takase was the one wrestler who took care of Hasegawa the most when she had her neck injury. Hasegawa promised to repay her by winning their match as a member of GanPro.
