Just like last year, the winners of the top two matches on every show received a Beef Milage card. The cards allows them to buy 10,000 yen worth of steak meals from Ikinari! Steak outlets. HARASHIMA said the steak will help make him stronger in time for Beer Garden and “RYOGOKU PETER PAN 2017”.

Some background on the two masked wrestlers. 24/7 Man was a normal person who was rejected by his crush. So he trained at 24/7 Workout to become a pro wrestler and impress her. Ikinari! Mask is a chef at the Ikinari! Steak shop who was given a magic mask by the head chef. The mask transformed him into a pro wrestler.

Naomi Yoshimura is now using the Shouten Kai.

Maki Itoh found a TBS representative watching the show and complained to him about a recent segment they aired about pro wrestling. She was upset that they interviewed Super Sasadango Machine instead of her. She has four times as many Twitter followers as him God damn it!

4a. Rematch: Daisuke Sasaki & Tetsuya Endo defeated Konosuke Takeshita & Diego when Endo pinned Diego with the Shooting Star Press (13:28).

The main event was so heated that the two teams brawled outside the ring and lost track of the count so everyone was counted out. DAMNATION didn’t care and were ready to leave when Konosuke Takeshita called them back and demanded a rematch so the audience will get their match. And also so Diego could win some steak. Sadly, Diego didn’t get what he wanted in the end. Tetsuya Endo beat him and DAMNATION got the Beef Milage card instead. Endo was looking forward to his meal but Daisuke Sasaki turned down the prize. He was too hungover for steak so he gave the card to Nobuhiro Shimatani instead. Sasaki called over to the TBS guy and said to make sure he got the shot of Endo’s Shooting Star Press.

The Gran MilliMeters team were concerned that Danshoku Dino’s antics would ruin their chances of impressing the TBS people. They tried to stop him from doing what he normally does but failed. Even worse was the cameraman made sure he recorded from the right angles to embarrass Daiki Shimomura & Shimatani even further.

Shimatani complained about having to be in another match against Dino after what happened to him the day before. He didn’t want his first kiss to be from a 40 year old gay DDT wrestler! He would only go through with the match on one condition. If he beats Dino then he gets to date one of the women from TBS. Amon Tsurumi couldn’t promise it but sure, whatever gets the match going. Shimatani hulked up and hit Dino with the Leg Drop but in the end couldn’t win. He cried after the match until Tsurumi asked him to close his eyes. He did so. Tsurumi then kissed Shimatani.

Partial Fighting Beer Garden 2017 Schedule

July 25, 2017

It’s that time of year again when DDT spends a week during the summer drinking itself stupid and inviting everyone along to come see the results. Nine different shows in seven days will take place in Shinjuku FACE with plenty of beer being served in the meantime. Every show has a different flavour with many being produced by the wrestlers themselves. So expect to see some ideas that are different or unusual for even regular DDT events. This year the published cards have a lot of gaps in them so some surprises may be in store.

Shoko Nakajima is aiming to reach the final again for the fourth year in a row. Yuka Sakazaki has been unbeatable since she became the TOKYO Princess Of Princess Champion. Reika Saiki and Mizuki are both hoping to win the tournament in their first go.

We get to see the regenerated NEO Biishiki-gun back in the ring. There’s also risk of some Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title shenanigans with Maho Kurone in the house.

3. Round System Drinking & Driving Match: Daisuke Sasaki Vs Masahiro Takanashi
4. Daisuke Sasaki, Shuji Ishikawa & Mad Paulie Vs Antonio Honda, Rocky Kawamura & Tanomusaku Toba

Out of all the shows that risk drinking the bar dry, this is amongst the most likely. Daisuke Sasaki and Masahiro Takanashi have a rematch from last year where they got to drink inbetween very short rounds. They both got so drunk neither could continue so it was declared a draw. Adding Rocky Kawamura and Tanomusaku Toba to the main event provides the punch drunk effect that usually shows up on one of these events.

Dave Crist makes his DDT debut here teaming with his buddy Shigehiro Irie.

*V6 for Konosuke Takeshita. Naomi Yoshimura cashed in his Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere Contract.

With less than a month away before “RYOGOKU PETER PAN 2017”, the journey to Sumo Hall went through a lot of bumps and turns in Korakuen Hall today. Konosuke Takeshita had not just one but two KO-D Openweight Title defences, clearing through the last of the Right To Challenge holders. First up was the scheduled main event against Keisuke Ishii. For weeks Ishii had been preparing the Final Cut learned from Kaz Hayashi as his secret weapon. Unfortunately for him, when it was finally time to use it Takeshita countered the move into an Emerald Frosion. Kind of ironic given Ishii’s adoration for classic All Japan that such a move would be used against him. With his battleplan in tatters, Ishii still had it in him to kick out of the German Suplex and some Big Boots. But the Surprise Rose finally put him down for the count.

After the match Takeshita wanted to create peace between his generation and Ishii’s. It isn’t about which generation is better, it’s about doing your best for DDT. He even invited Shigehiro Irie to come out as part of the peace offering. What he got instead was an ambush Lariat from Naomi Yoshimura! Today was the day Yoshimura would give Takeshita his greatest humiliation. He’s cashing in the last Right To Challenge contract for his title shot right now! What followed was Takeshita’s fight for survival as Yoshimura tried to beat him with big move after big move. A high angle choke Slam couldn’t beat Takeshita. A Power Bomb from the apron through a table couldn’t beat him. More Lariats couldn’t beat him. Takeshita finally turned the tables when he escaped the Throwaway Power Bomb and hit back with Lariats and Shoulder Blocks. He was now besting Yoshimura in these sumo-like collisions just like when they were kids. Yoshimura couldn’t handle it and his quest for revenge ended in failure after one Lariat too many. Takeshita won and now has a clear road ahead to Sumo Hall where Tetsuya Endo is waiting for him.

Endo entered the ring to show his disappointment over the result. He thought fighting Yoshimura would be the more interesting match. He reminded Takeshita that it was just over one year ago when Endo joined DAMNATION. A lot has changed since then but one thing remained the same. Endo wants the KO-D Title and he’ll have to beat Takeshita to get it! Takeshita didn’t hold back over what he wanted to say to his former friend. If Takeshita beats Endo in another title match and at Sumo Hall this time then Endo shouldn’t get another shot as long as Takeshita is champion. Endo agreed to the condition. Takeshita then reminded Endo about their 60 minute draw and said everyone at Sumo Hall better be prepared to see another one. He offered a handshake but Endo spat in his face instead. Takeshita remained calm but then grabbed Endo’s hair and pulled him in for a Short Range Lariat. Endo ducked, bounced off the ropes and hit a Handspring Leg Lariat to the champion. He followed it up with the Shooting Star Press. Endo grabbed the title belt and had the final word. Fair and square? Endo isn’t here to kid around. Wrestling isn’t a sport, it’s a fight. Takeshita told him that one year ago. Now Endo will return that message to him!

High risk, high reward was needed to determine a winner between Daisuke Sasaki and Joey Ryan so a Ladder Match was held with the DDT Extreme Title hanging above the ring. Ryan wasted no time when he dove out of the ring onto Sasaki during the champion’s entrance. Ryan later gave Sasaki a Brainbuster onto the ladder outside the ring. He looked all clear to climb the ladder inside the ring and grab the title but Sasaki caught his attention by pulling out a picture of Laura James and kissing it. Ryan got off the ladder but that allowed Sasaki to come back in and take control of the match. Sasaki brought out a trash can to beat Joey up with. He then wrapped a steel chain around his arm and jumped for a Diving Elbow but Joey rolled out of the way. Ryan took out a lollipop covered in thumbtacks and shoved it into Sasaki’s mouth! Sasaki hit back with a Chain Lariat then used the chain to wrap a Cross Facelock on Joey. Sasaki then brought out a barbed wire bat but Joey Super Kicked him with the lollipop still in his mouth! Then Ryan brought out the most dangerous weapon yet… a box of Lego! Ever step on one of those things without shoes on? Then you know how much they hurt. Ryan spilled the Lego onto the canvas and gave Sasaki the Balls Plex onto the Lego. He climbed the ladder but somehow Sasaki recovered, grabbed the second ladder and hit him with it to slow him down. Sasaki then position the second ladder between the first ladder and the top rope. Joey reached for the title belt but Sasaki threw him off with a Back Body Drop onto the second ladder! That left Sasaki free to pull down the belt and stay as the Extreme Champion.

Sasaki celebrated with the title belt and the picture of Laura James. He was approached by Amon Tsurumi and asked who he would like to defend the title against at Sumo Hall. Sasaki said he wants to go to America and defend against Candice LeRae. Tsurumi told him to forget about it because that request is impossible. Akito came out and asked for the title shot. Tsurumi liked the idea. After all, Akito eliminated Sasaki in the King Of DDT tournament and also has wins over him in 3 Way Matches. Sasaki said he would agree to it on one condition. Their match will also be “Cabellera Contra Cabellera”, a Hair Vs Hair Match! Akito accepted because he made up his mind long ago how much he is willing to risk to become a champion again. He’ll bet all of the hair on his head if he has to!

Irie appeared in the ring with his head heavily bandaged for his KO-D Tag Team Titles defence with Kazusada Higuchi. They were in for a fight against the DAMNATION pair of Shuji Ishikawa & Mad Paulie. The four brawled around the ring and it looked like the challengers were coming out on top. Ishikawa gave Irie the Fire Thunder while Paulie hit Higuchi with the Reverse Splash. However Higuchi recovered and sent Paulie into the corner. Irie ran in with a Cannonball Splash to Paulie which stunned him. Higuchi then put the big guy away with the Goten for the three count. The YaroZ were presented with their title belts by Ayumi Goto who herself was wearing the OPBF Oriental Pacific Women’s Super Bantamweight Title.

Afterwards Tsurumi invited HARASHIMA to the ring for an announcement concerning the Tag Titles. HARASHIMA will be challenging for the belts at Sumo Hall with someone who will certainly make DDT more exciting. Out came Naomichi Marufuji! HARASHIMA said he was exciting to put this together. Marufuji wanted everyone to know he isn’t doing this match as a guest wrestler. He is here because he wants to win the Tag Titles with somebody as skillful as HARASHIMA. Irie is pleased. He respects Marufuji and cannot wait to crush him!

Soma Takao must be feeling left out. He returns from illness to win a 4 Way Tag with HARASHIMA then HARASHIMA goes and makes friends with Marufuji for a big championship match. Now what is Takao going to do at Sumo Hall?

Shunma Katsumata Vs Tetsuya Endo didn’t last three minutes. Katsumata attacked Endo during his entrance and tried to get a quick win but it backfired when Endo pinned him with Tetsuya In The Sky. Backstage Katsumata excused the loss by saying he was feeling tired from wrestling in the NOAH Jr. Tag League.

Saki Akai wanted to see how much she has grown since her last meeting with Yoshiko. The result was inconclusive because Masahiro Takanashi pinned Makoto Oishi instead, leaving the two women to glare at each other after the match.

Japanese livelihoods were on the line in the opener. If T2Hide lost then both Hirata Collection A.T. and Gorgeous Matsuno would be deported from the country. But if they won then nobody could ever accuse Hira-Colle of being Kazuki Hirata in disguise ever again. A draw meant only Hira-Colle would be deported and Matsuno would be safe. To make things even more tense the match was held under (deep breath) Italian Falls Count Anywhere Match Scramble Bunkhouse Street Fight Tornado 6-Man Tag rules. Antonio Honda tried to calm the situation by telling the good old summer story “Pirates Of The Caribbean” but he replaced the name Caribbean with Parisian. Danshoku Dino won the match for his team by countering the Hirata Lock into a Cradle for the pin. Everyone celebrated by grabbing Hirata and carrying him out of the building. A message was then produced on the screen advertising Kazuki Hirata’s return to DDT on 30th August.

In the dark match, Daiki Shimomura tried to beat Kouki Iwasaki with Standing Moonsaults. Iwasaki fought back with Knee Lifts and won the match with a Vertical Drop Brainbuster. That is quickly becoming is go to move for beating opponents from the generation below him.

The brand new KO-D 10-Man Tag Team Titles were shown off for the first time. Each belt is a different colour. The belts are red, blue, pink, yellow and green. The first champions will be decided at Sumo Hall with Toru Owashi and Makoto Oishi captaining the two teams. They will announce their team choices at the first Beer Garden show on 30th July.

Katsumata was told he would be getting a special singles match at Sumo Hall. He will face Jiro “Ikemen” Kuroshio! The WRESTLE-1 pretty boy ran around Korakuen Hall greeting the audience while Tsurumi tried to get his attention to keep the show on schedule. The match means something to both wrestlers because they are both the same age and were also trainees together in an old promotion called SMASH.

Miyu Yamashita appeared to promote her match against Meiko Satomura in Tokyo Joshi Pro on 26th August. She admitted she had a bad performance at the press conference announcing the match. Satomura’s comments about Yamashita drove her to tears. Yamashita said when she woke up the next day she threw away all of her admiration for Satomura and replaced them with a desire to kill her in the ring!

Keisuke Ishii spent today training with Kaz Hayashi in the WRESTLE-1 Dojo. The purpose of the training was for Ishii to properly learn how to do the Final Cut. Ishii found the experience nostalgic because it reminded him of his days training at the All Japan dojo. Hayashi then showed Ishii a special whole body exercise he calls the “secret of his youth”. Afterwards they went to Final Cut training with Yuki Ueno being used as the victim. Although Wikipedia describes the hold as a focused elbow movement, Hayashi says the arm should be moved more like you are throwing a Lariat. He also talked about learning the move from Shane Helms during his time in WCW. When Hayashi brought the move to Japan he named it the Final Cut without Shane’s permission. When the session was over both Ishii and Hayashi were pleased with the results. Ueno was just sore. Ishii said he will use the move in his title match when the opportunity presents itself.

DAMNATION get the next shot at the KO-D Tag Team Titles. The duo in action are the two heavyweights, Shuji Ishikawa & Mad Paulie.

1. Special Single Match: Miyu Yamashita Vs Meiko Satomura

A singles match between Miyu Yamashita and Meiko Satomura is set for Tokyo Joshi Pro’s return to Korakuen Hall this August. The match was made because of an incident that happened between the two at “JUDGEMENT 2017” back in March. Satomura pinned Yamashita in a trios match then kicked her afterwards. Satomura at the time requested a singles match and finally it is happening. Yamashita looks up to Satomura and is happy to get the opportunity to fight her. Satomura on the other hand does not have as many nice things to day about her opponent. She remembers challenging Yamashita for a match but now is just treating it like any other match. Doesn’t matter if it’s in Korakuen or Saitama Super Arena, it’s all the same to her. She hasn’t seen any of Yamashita’s matches since they fought and her opinion of the girl hasn’t changed. Satomura’s comments upset Yamashita so much she had to fight back tears as she responded. She may feel miserable now but she is excited to fight Satomura again. It was a big deal for her and Shoko Nakajima to fight with Satomura and Aja Kong at Saitama. Yamashita now wants to bring in new fans to Tokyo Joshi by fighting outside wrestlers like Satomura.

7. KO-D Openweight Title: Konosuke Takeshita (c) Vs Tetsuya Endo ended in a Time Limit Draw (60:00).
*V2 for Konosuke Takeshita.

60 minutes wasn’t enough to separate Konosuke Takeshita and Tetsuya Endo. Both threw everything they could at each other. Endo even had some minor help from DAMNATION at times and it still wasn’t enough to win. When Takaeshita was about to give Endo the Cross Arm German Suplex at the 35th minute, Daisuke Sasaki distracted the referee so Endo could Low Blow Takeshita to escape the move. Then outside the ring Mad Paulie positioned himself on his hands and knees on the stage so Endo could Moonsault off of him onto Takeshita. Endo then wound the other end when Takeshita Suplexed him onto the ring apron. The match risked ending in a Double Countout until both the champion and challenger crawled back into the ring at the 19 count. Another Double Countout came close after a strike battle briefly knocked out both wrestlers. Endo hit the Shooting Star Press but Takeshita kicked out of it and clung on to Endo’s legs so he couldn’t climb the turnbuckles again. They both wound up on the top rope and Endo hit the Spanish Fly for a nearfall. Takeshita hit a Dragon Suplex, Lariat and busted out the Last Ride but only got a two count. In the final minutes of the match Takeshita went for the Cross Arm German again but Endo pulled out a Kasadora counter for nearfall. As the last few seconds counted down Endo put Takeshita in the Crippler Crossface but the bell rang to end the match. A draw means Takeshita is still the KO-D Openweight Champion but he wasn’t satisfied by the result. He and Endo had one more staredown that ended with Endo lightly slapping his rival then leaving ringside.

An emotionally drained Amon Tsurumi thanked Takeshita for having a great match. Takeshita petted him on the head and said as long as he is still champion he will keep Korakuen Hall full. The pleasant moment was interrupted when Yoshihiro Takayama strolled down to the ring wearing his Right To Challenge gauntlet. He called Takeshita an awesome champion. He’s impressed. But Takayama said that he is a former GHC, IWGP, NWF and Triple Crown Champion. He collects championships and now he is interested in getting the KO-D Openweight Title! When he said he wasn’t cashing in his title shot right now, Makoto Oishi and Nobuhiro Shimatani appeared at the stage entrance. Both were trying to sneak into the ring and cash in their contracts on an unaware Takeshita. Takayama spotted the two and scared them off. Takeshita asked Takayama when he wants his title match. It will happen in Korakuen Hall on 28th May! Takeshita promised Takayama that he won’t lose the KO-D Title until then and he hopes Takeyama will do the same with his RTC contract. If that wasn’t enough, Akito approached Takayama and provoked Takayama. Akito said when he began wrestling he admired Takayama but now he is just boring. He is also sick of seeing Danshoku Dino’s ass everywhere in DDT. Dino stood up for Takayama and argued with Akito. The result of this is New No Fear’s first KO-D Tag Team Title defence will be against ALL OUT on 21st May in Sapporo. Takeshita ended the show by saying although he did not beat Endo, he will settle that problem another day. Until then he will beat Takayama with a German Suplex that is even higher than the Everest German!

The Lip Lock was the gamechanger in the KO-D Tag Team Titles Match. First Dino used the move stopped Yukio Sakaguchi from doing the top rope Right Knee Of God to Takayama. He then gave Sakaguchi a Spider Superplex so he could adjust his posture into the Hell Gate pose. Masakatsu Funaki fought off Dino afterwards but he was still put in the Lip Lock by Takayama. The sight of the move distracted Sakaguchi long enough for Dino to give the Lip Lock to him. Takayama then grabbed Sakaguchi and pinned him with the Everest German. Takayama foreshadowed his Right To Challenge plans when he told Tsurumi after the match that he was too busy to defend the KO-D Tag Titles on the 28th May Korakuen show. Funaki said he won’t be challenging for the titles again until there are new champions. He figured the only way he and Sakaguchi can beat New No Fear is if they also turn gay which according to them is impossible.

Kazusada Higuchi made a big statement by pinning HARASHIMA to win his RTC contract in the special Worldwide Tag Match. With Shigehiro Irie (who entered the ring wearing a Panda mask as some sort of OI4K shoutout) on his side, the combined power was too much for HARASHIMA and Mike Bailey to handle. Higuchi used his strength to block a Reverse Hurricanrana and instead throw HARASHIMA into the turnbuckles. Irie then hit a Running Cannonball to HARASHIMA out of nowhere which gave Higuchi an easy road to hitting the Doctor Bomb. Higuchi explained afterwards that HARASHIMA is only familiar with the RTC contracts when he was the champion. He doesn’t know what it is like to defend the contracts, which is something Higuchi knows a lot. So that’s how Higuchi could beat HARASHIMA today.

Akito wrestled in new wrestling gear which has some oddly placed exposed sections in the hips area. He also added a Modified Omoplata to his arsenal and it is very effective. Soma Takao quickly tapped out to it.

With a little help from Mad Paulie, Heidi Katrina pinned Saki Akai in their first confrontation. Paulie squashed Akai with a Lariat in the corner while Daisuke Sasaki dove out of the ring onto the rest of Akai’s team. Katrina then dropped Akai with an Oklahoma Stampede and pinned her with a Leg Drop. Katrina say she will fight Akai again anytime, anywhere. Sasaki translated her promo and turned it into a more bunch of insults. Sasaki then claimed that Katrina called him kind, brave and masculine.

When NωA and T2Hide faced off there was a lot on the line. NωA were defending the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles and debuting their brand new song “ωe are the HERO”. T2Hide were fighting to prevent Kazuki Hirata from getting kicked out of Japan. Sanshiro Takagi & Toru Owashi sang Hirata’s entrance music but Hirata hated it because it wasn’t good enough to dance to. Everyone from NωA, T2Hide, the referee and even a bunch of other wrestlers all ganged up to stomp on Hirata for being ungrateful. Hirata summoned his music proper but was then pinned by Makoto Oishi. Hirata lost his RTC contract to Oishi and now he has to be deported from Japan! While he was dealing with this, Oishi was attacked by Danshoku Dino and Royce Isaacs. They broke his arm with Isaacs’ Miracle Ass then fled. When that was over with the rest of the roster said their farewells to Hirata and carried him away from ringside. Takagi ignored Hirata’s protests to congratulate him on his new beginnings. He then told the audience to please look forward to the next chapter of “Dr. Kazuki Hirata’s” adventures.

Before the 5 Way Match took place, Dino and Isaacs sent a warning to the rest of the competitors. Isaacs used his Miracle Ass to split a pair of chopsticks. Then when Ryuichi Sekine walked into the room Dino grabbed his arm and Isaacs broke it with his Miracle Ass. In the match itself Isaacs went on a streak of breaking arms that would make Penta el Zero M jealous. The streak was ended when Antonio Honda grabbed Isaacs’ arm, stuck it under his own shoulder strap and used his chest to pop the arm. He then pinned Isaacs with a Small Package to become the No. 1 Contender for the DDT Extreme Title. Nice guy Honda then popped everyone’s arms back into place after the match.

Yuki Ueno scored his first ever singles win in the dark match, pinning Daiki Shimomura with a Dropkick. Amon Tsurumi congratulated him afterwards.

DDT is creating a brand new set of championships. If you thought a 6-man Tag Team championship is overdoing it then strap yourselves in and make room for the KO-D 10-Man Tag Team Championships! The first champions will be crowned at Sumo Hall on 20th August.

Super Sasadango Machine has recovered from his heart problems and will return to action on 28th May! Sasadango teams with Sanshiro Takagi to face Minoru Suzuki & Rocky Kawamura!

The Street Wrestling match to be held at the Tokyo Dome finally is finally going ahead. On 1st June, Sanshiro Takagi faces Minoru Suzuki and they are free to fight all over the Dome in what is pretty much an Empty Arena match. No fans, no crowds, just the two wrestlers and a cameraman filming the action live for DDT UNIVERSE.

Isami Kodaka will be leaving his job as manager for the Drop Kick Bar in May. Akito is the new manager and he hopes to run a bar that will be full of hospitality for its customers.

5e. Daisuke Sasaki submitted Dick Togo with the Cross Arm Cross Facelock (23:18).
5f. Dick Togo submitted Daisuke Sasaki with the Cross Facelock (25:23).
*V1 for Daisuke Sasaki.

DAMNATION finally put together the self produced show they were given for winning the Unit category in last year’s DDT Dramatic General Election. In the main event Daisuke Sasaki put his DDT Extreme Title on the line against his mentor and enemy Dick Togo in a 30 minute Ultimate Submission match. From the early going both Sasaki and Togo fought to put each other in the Cross Facelock. Togo switched focus to Sasaki’s left arm and scored the first submission with a Chickenwing Armlock. Togo then went two up with a Sleeper Hold. Sasaki had to target Togo’s legs in order to score some points. He tapped out Togo with a Figure Four Leg Lock then tied the score with a reverse version of the move. Sasaki finally locked in a modified Cross Facelock to take the lead. It didn’t take long for Togo to equalise with his own Cross Facelock to make the score 3-3. In the final minutes the two continued to fight over Cross Facelocks until the time expired. The match was declared a draw and therefore counts as a successful title defence for Sasaki.

Sasaki was surprised that the match ended in a draw but he felt too tired to do anything. He brought up Togo retiring from wrestling back in 2012 and compared it to the ancient Mayan prediction that the world was going to end that year. Sasaki said since then he’d been drinking once every three days and he’d drink enough to forget it two days later. All because Togo retired without Sasaki’s permission! Togo accepted that it was his fault that Sasaki’s life went down this strange route. He retired and then came back all without telling Sasaki. But all wrestlers retire then come back, that’s nothing for Togo to be embarrassed about. He will continue to fight until his body won’t let him anymore. He said Sasaki has grown stronger over the last four years and today he could not defeat him. It was a draw but he didn’t win which to him is no better than losing. They are both evolving so next time he will be a high wall for Sasaki to climb over. The two hugged and finally put their grudge behind them. Sasaki felt a little embarrassed because there wasn’t mean to be any reconciliation on this show but he’s happy to be back on the right foot with Togo. He then told Togo not to retire again until after he beats him.

An injured Kohei Sato was replaced by Masato Tanaka in the semi-main event. Together with Daisuke Sekimoto they were able to beat Shuji Ishikawa & Mad Paulie. Sekimoto afterwards said he was happy to be here and wished DAMNATION well. He then asked the reporter if he should be acting so friendly to them because he is a face and DAMNATION are heels.

Tetsuya Endo got to take part in some lighthearted 3 Way antics with Ryuichi Sekine and Yusuke Kodama. Endo and Sekine paired up to outnumber Kodama. Sekine even talked Endo into doing some of his sillier spots like imitating a bull for a Shoulder Charge in the corner. Endo then betrayed Sekine by pulling Kodama out of the way when Sekine went for a Topé Suicida. Endo fought for himself from then on and won with the Shooting Star Press on Sekine.

Nobuhiro Shimatani went into the show not knowing who his opponent would be. Everyone figured it was going to be one of the DAMNATION members but each of them denied it would be them at the start of the show. Sasaki briefly went in search for an opponent and eventually asked if anyone in the audience wanted to take part. A foreign women raised her hand and took off her jacket to show she was already wearing wrestling gear. She introduced herself as Heidi Katrina, a pro wrestler from London, England. Sasaki allowed her to fight . Katrina was bigger, stronger and tougher than Shimatani so she put him away with a Clothesline, an Oklahoma Stampede and a Leg Drop. Sasaki was impressed and he asked Katrina to spend hang out with him afterwards. In a backstage interview Katrina said she has been wrestling around the world for the last four years. She has come to Japan to fight Saki Akai! Katrina warns Akai that she’s been trained by British wrestling legends Robbie Brookside, Marty Jones and Johnny Saint. She wants to give Akai a taste of what women’s wrestling is like in the UK.

Even HARASHIMA couldn’t resist showing a darker side on this show. Then again having to team with the Brahman Brothers will bring that sort of behaviour out of anybody. At first he resisted joining in with their hijinks until green goo began to emerge from his mouth. The Brahmans soaked the audience with water and one of them threw a carry case at the referee with the help of Masahiro Takanashi so the match was called off. The Brahmans then lined seated their opponents in the corner, pressed the carry case in front of them and convinced HARASHIMA to throw a bowling ball at them. Strike! They left with a warning that this may not be the last time you will see HARASHIMA and the Brahman Brothers join forces.

Danshoku Dino held a Coming Out party for Royce Isaacs at the Cholesterol Bar in Shinjuku earlier today. Isaacs explained that when he used the Lip Lock on Antonio Honda during their match at the weekend he felt comfortable with the action. Although he worked hard in America he was never happy with the situation he was in. But when he came to Japan and met Dino he was convinced to come out as gay. Dino explained that he saw the gay wrestler in Isaacs and felt a little outraged that Isaacs was holding it back. So to help him out he brought him to this bar and asked the owner Mr. Takuya if Isaacs can become accepted as a gay wrestler. Takuya said of course he would, he can even reach high enough to be No. 1! Isaacs said that even though he currently holds a Right To Challenge contract, he knows that everyone is more interested in his “Miracle Ass”. He then showed some examples of what he is talking about by using his ass to cut a banana in half, open a bottle of champagne and cook raw eggs. Dino, Takuya and Amon Tsurumi tasted each of the food and were delighted by the taste! Isaacs said everyone will get to see the Miracle Ass in action before he cashes in his RTC contract.

-. KO-D Openweight Title: Konosuke Takeshita (c) defeated Akito with a Wrist Clutch Fisherman Buster (15:38).
*V1 for Konosuke Takeshita. Akito cashes in his Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere Contract.

The Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere season has begun and we already got a cash in! After a hard fought main event where Konosuke Takeshita defeated Mad Paulie, the celebration was cut short when Akito ran in and Dropkicked Takeshita from behind. He then cashed in his newly won Right To Challenge Contract for an immediate KO-D Openweight Title Match! To make things even more interesting, DAMNATION members Daisuke Sasaki and Tetsuya Endo were at ringside to watch the match up close. Takeshita was able to survive Akito’s submissions but the challenger was well prepared to avoid any version of Takeshita’s German Suplexes. The Champion instead had to add a new move to his arsenal and used a Wrist Clutch Fisherman Buster to successfully defend his title.

Sasaki commiserated Akito for the loss and handed him a DAMNATION T-shirt. Sasaki welcomed him as the newest member of the group. However Akito rejected the offer and threw the shirt at Sasaki! He was then attacked by Sasaki & Endo until Takeshita came to rescue him. Akito left the ring without shaking Takeshita’s hand but paused as Takeshita spoke to him on the microphone. Takeshita said he had fun wrestling Akito and he doesn’t dislike him so they should wrestle together more. Akito responded that he had been thinking a lot since leaving Smile Squash, like is he as good as HARASHIMA on his own or does he need something like the Right To Challenge contract to become the champion? Takeshita extended his hand and asked Akito to team with him. Akito asked if Takeshita is okay to team with him even if he gets another RTC contract and cashes in again? Takeshita answered that it would be make the team more interesting. Akito joked that Takeshita is smart after all and agreed to join his side.

Another alliance was formed after the show when Danshoku Dino and Royce Isaacs were seen hanging out together among the crowd. Isaacs announced that he was coming out as gay. He regretted keeping it a secret for years but by wrestling in Japan he discovered the freedom to be himself. Dino praised Isaacs for his power as a gay wrestler and invited the fans to call him “Ai-chan” in the future. Dino also said he wants to expand the world of gay wrestling and rattled off facts about how 80% of the people here are homosexuals. He then lead everyone in “G-A-Y” chants.

Dino proved to be a tricky opponent for Yukio Sakaguchi to handle. He kept on finding ways to counter Sakaguchi’s moves into the Lip Lock. But Sakaguchi was able to win by turning the last Lip Lock into the Gedo Clutch for the pin. Dino was so disappointed by the defeat that Yoshihiro Takayama had to comfort him after the match. Takayama also gave Sakaguchi a cold stare as he did so.

For the last month T2Hide have been trying to solve the problem of Kazuki Hirata’s entrance music. His current song “TOKYO GO” cannot be used on DDT UNIVERSE because DDT does not have the rights to use it. This is horrible news because Hirata’s entire existence lives and dies by that song. Today, Sanshiro Takagi came up with a solution. He and Toru Owashi would sing “TOKYO GO” a cappella during Hirata’s entrance. Hirata hated it and told his teammates he won’t dance to that. However Takagi & Owashi sang it again during the match and it gave Hirata the power boost needed to win. Hirata begged them to stop because the singing was so deadly it would kill them. He then challenged NωA to a KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles match. Takagi stepped in and said they couldn’t challenge for the belts without putting something on the line themselves. They agreed to a stipulation that if NωA beats T2Hide then Kazuki Hirata will be banished from Japan!

After today there are still four active Right To Challenge contracts. The holders were determined in a series of five minute matches with the audience deciding the winners if the time ran out. Both Shigehiro Irie, Keisuke Ishii and Royce Isaacs got their contracts by the fan vote, beating KUDO, Yoshihiko and Antonio Honda respectively. Yoshihiro Takayama choked out Kazusada Higuchi in three minutes to win his contract while Akito tapped out Kouki Iwasaki in under two minutes to kick things off. The contracts are active until the next Sumo Hall show on 20th August.
