The two and a half heavyweight challengers tried using their size to take the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles from DAMNATION T.A. by stacking up on each other. But they didn’t think it through so Kazuma Sumi tried and failed to piggyback Yuki Iino and Yukio Naya over his shoulders. MJ Paul then pulled the referee out of the ring when Naya had Choke Slammed Hideki Okatani. With the ref down, Daisuke Sasaki started attacking the other team with a chair and Ilusion gave them Low Blows too. The Apex figured out how to stack themselves up properly by having Iino piggyback Naya and Sumi stand on top of them for a dive. Unfortunately Sumi missed and despite trying to use the School Boy for a last gasp victory, he ended up getting pinned by Okatani with the Vertical Drop Brainbuster.

After the match Okatani taunted The Apex by telling them to train more for the KO-D Tag Team Titles match at “WRESTLE PETER PAN 2025”. Sasaki said that won’t matter because he and Okatani will surpass them through sheer talent alone. He then had an announcement to make about “CHARISMANIAxMANIAxMANIA” on 2nd October. The main event is going to be Sasaki & El Desperado taking on Shuji Ishikawa & Antonio Honda! Two years after Sasaki and Desperado fought each other in DDT, they now want to team up!

A trickster to the end, MAO was involved in one of the more creative match finishes of the year. He tried to pin Akito with the Japanese Leg Roll Clutch but Minoru Suzuki blocked it and put him in the Sleeper Hold. KANON broke that up and knocked Suzuki into MAO back to back. From there MAO gave Suzuki a Backslide Pin while applying the Gedo Clutch to Akito, pinning both of them for the win. With this victory MAO believes he is now the only person who can take the DDT Universal Title back from Suzuki. However Suzuki has now sworn to kill him at “WRESTLE PETER PAN 2025”!

Kazusada Higuchi is looking forward to defending the KO-D Openweight Title against Jun Akiyama. He sees it as his chance to get revenge for failing to take the title from Akiyama back in 2021. Akiyama said he may have lost today’s prelim match but he got to have a good look at Higuchi. They still have a few more weeks to go until the match so Akiyama hopes he and Higuchi will stay in good condition until then.

The DDT Extreme Title exists to be an avenue for wrestlers to be at their most creative. To-y is expecting Yuya Koroku to come up with an idea crazy enough to make their upcoming title bout exciting. Today Koroku tested his idea out by applying “I Am Koroku” rules (Kazuki Hirata came up with the name) to his tag match against To-y. The rule was a total pinfall count of 20 was needed to win the match alongside the other usual ways. However Koroku ended up winning the match by submission instead. To-y complained that the rules never said that but Koroku defended himself by explaining he never said pinfall was the only way to win. Since To-y is the champion he gets to pick the rules for the title match. He announced them on social media after the show. From now until the day of the show, he and Koroku will receive one life point for every social media post they make that reaches over 10,000 impressions. During the match itself every one count pinfall, rope break and getting thrown out of the ring will take away a Life Point until the loser is reduced to zero.

The first Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere prize was up for grabs. This year the prizes are represented with different color Arm Covers. However the first match featured wrestlers who were all hesitant to win for one reason or another. It turns out Danshoku Dieno, Super Sasadango Machine and Kazuki Hirata all do not want to deal with the pressure of holding the title shot that they could lose before cashing it in. Hisaya Imabayashi pleaded with them to take the match seriously so they did. Hirata won the match and couldn’t help but feel fired up over it. He now expects to get beaten up more than usual while building up anticipation for when he will cash in his KO-D Title shot. If he loses it before then he will only be disappointing everyone so he promised to keep it like it was part of his costume.

DDT began the show with a 10 bell salute dedicated to the late Tomohiko Hashimoto. He passed away at 47 years old from liver cancer on 5th August.

It has been just under one year since BASARA last held a show at Korakuen Hall. Now under new management, today’s show is the next chapter for the company. Even though they did not announce an attendance number, the word going around from them and wrestling reporters is this was the biggest crowd they have ever had! The new president Ryota Nakatsu credited everyone involved with the show from those signed with the company to those who wrestle freelance for all of the hard work they did to promote it. The next goal Nakatsu has in mind is to sell enough tickets to open up the north side of Korakuen and then fill that up too. He also promised to openly talk about the positives and negatives happening in BASARA because there is no point in a company like this trying to look cool.

In the main event Nakatsu defeated the new sales manager Takumi Tsukamoto in his first defence of the Union MAX Title. Nakatsu said it felt amazing for both of them to be BASARA’s main focus today. Tsukamoto agreed and is a litle worried he may have lost his mind during the match because it felt so good. Nakatsu then promoted the next show on 20th August until he was interrupted by Daichi Kazato and Ayato Yoshida. Kazato climbed the turnbuckle and held onto a large rubber strap. Yoshida then pulled the strap back and snapped it back into Kazato’s face. Nakatsu was confused until Kazato explained that is his way of challenging him for the MAX Title.

Ryuichi Sekine & FUMA named themselves Hyakusho Ikki because they wanted to defend the Iron Fist Tag Team Titles a hundred times. They couldn’t even make it to three. Instead Kengo Mashimo & Ayumu Honda are the new champions after Honda made FUMA submit to the Jumping Armbar. FUMA later told Sekine that they were sent back down to rock bottom but that just means it’s time to start preparing for the next harvest. The challengers brought along Naka Shuma and Kyu Mogami to be their cornermen because all four of them are part of a unit in 2AW called MJ2. But when Mashimo & Honda won the titles Honda (through Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi) told Shuma & Mogami that they weren’t needed anymore! Backstage Shuma & Mogami said it’s boring to just be cornermen so they decided maybe they will come liven up BASARA too!

The first appearance of El Desperado in BASARA had a little extra backstory to it involving one of his opponents. Masato Kamino took the New Japan entrance exam back in October 2012 where he gave up on the test halfway through. But he remembers the sight of Kyosuke Mikami watching him in the crowd that day. They were opponents today with Desperado teaming up with Isami Kodaka while Kamino was part of the Aijin Tag with Takato Nakano. Desperado ended up winning when he gave Nakano the Reverse Tiger Driver followed by the Pinche Loco. Desperado praised his opponents and would like for more fans to discover them. He thinks Aijin Tag would even win over NJPW fans if they were to ever wrestle over there. Kodaka said he would love to team with Desperado again because it would be a shame for them to stop after just one match. Nakano said it was a dream come true to fight a New Japan champion because his mother loves NJPW. His next dream is to beat El Desperado! Kamino called this match a milestone in his life and he will be starting again from here. Aijin Tag are now thinking about entering a Jr. Tag tournament to make a new impact.

The Korakuen Hall preview was a Best 2 Out Of 3 Falls Match featuring the participants of both the Union MAX Title and Iron Fist Tag Team Title bouts. Ryuichi Sekine attacked Kengo Mashimo from the get go with FUMA and Ayumu Honda joining in the brawl. Meanwhile Takumi Tsukamoto did his best to block Ryota Nakatsu’s big moves and used an Ouchi-gari throw from Judo to pin him. In the second fall Honda was cut off by FUMA from giving Sekine an Arm Lock. That allowed Sekine to put him in the Let’s Combine to win this round by submission. In the final fall Tsukamoto aimed to beat Nakatsu again but Nakatsu caught him in a Back Roll Clutch instead to get the victory. The two got along after the match and agreed that they cannot wait until 3rd August. Honda also spoke out loud for the first time on a BASARA show but simply said he and Mashimo will take the Iron Fist Tag Titles from Hyakusho Ikki. Nakatsu called for all of the wrestlers to get into the ring for the end of the show and said it would be a big loss for the planet if fun things like BASARA disappeared. So they’re going to make the Korakuen Hall show a great one!

Isami Kodaka said it’s been a while since his last singles match with Takato Nakano but he could see how much he has grown since then. Kodaka is confident that if Nakano was at his mercy today then he isn’t worried that Aijin Tag can beat him and El Desperado at Korakuen. Nakano said whether his team wins or loses, the biggest thing in pro wrestling is presence. Masato Kamino pointed out that he and Nakano will always be together while Kodaka & Desperado do not have that kind of loyalty to each other. He is confident their strength together will win out at the end.

If Mizuki gets to have her way then the entire summer is going to belong to her. She got one step closer to achieving that goal by successfully defending the Princess Of Princess Title today and cutting down the rising star Yuki Arai in the process. Arai relied heavily on Big Boots and similar attacks while Mizuki fired back in kind with Diving Stomps and heavy Dropkicks that resemble those kinds of stomps. Arai switched to putting Mizuki in the Scorpion Death Lock and even tried catching Mizuki’s arm to stop her from reaching the ropes. But Mizuki would rope break out of it and block the Finally to hit a Run-Up Double Stomp. From there Mizuki did the Whirling Candy for a two count. Arai was spent but kept trying to fight back until Mizuki caught her with the Cutie Special, hit her with a Missile Dropkick and drop her with another Cutie Special to win the match.

After the match Mizuki stuck her hand out to help Arai get back up and the two hugged. Arai left the ring and Mizuki thanked the fans for coming to the show as well as the fans who watched the stream from home. She said Arai is tough like Superman and by fighting her she could feel how amazing she is. The baton was passed through everyone in Tokyo Joshi Pro today from the very first match to the main event and Mizuki was happy to run with it at the end. If Arai is Superman, Mizuki is the Princess Of Princesses and she next wants to go win the Tokyo Princess Cup as the reigning Princess Champion! Arai admitted she kind of knew Mizuki was too high of a hurdle for her today. As much as she wanted to win the Princess Title her first time challenging for the belt made her realize she still can’t reach it yet. She also knows this wasn’t a once in a lifetime chance and she has time to become someone good enough to wear the belt around her waist someday. When that day comes she will challenge with confidence and would be happy if it’s Mizuki she has to beat to become champion.

Turns out it’s going to take more than just sasumata poles to take the Princess Tag Team Titles away from Kyoraku Kyomei! For the last month Daydream have been using sasumatas to torture the champions and get into their heads. Hyper Misao’s first counter measure was to promise she wouldn’t use her Hero Spray in the match and place it down on the mat. She then pulled out a second can and immediately sprayed Daydream with it. When the fight went around ringside Miu Watanabe used the sasumata to hook onto Shoko Nakajima and carry her up high before throwing her down to the floor. She and Rika Tatsumi also used the poles to swing and spin their opponents around in the ring. Misao then had to bring out her second counter measure, the Hyper Mobile! She ended up crashing it into Mahiro Kiryu but then Kyoraku Kyomei and Daydream charged into each other like it was a joust! Both teams wiped each other out so it was all even when the action moved back into the ring. Daydream tried to both do top rope moves on seperate corners but Kyoraku Kyomei countered it with their own Avalanche moves. Daydream did the Daydream Eternity on Nakajima by Misao broke the count at two. Nakajima then countered Watanabe’s Tear Drop into a Hurricanrana and did the Northern Lights Suplex only for Tatsumi to break the pin. The champions then got the upper hand when Nakajima gave Watanabe the Double Arm DDT while Misao used Vanitas on Tatsumi. That left the coast clear for Nakajima to climb the top turnbuckle and hit the Diving Senton on Watanabe for the win. Nakajima was worried the match would end in a time limit draw but she thinks her strength was the difference maker that pushed Kyoraku Kyomei towards victory. Tatsumi is disappointed that Daydream couldn’t win but she at least thinks her and Watanabe showed how good they would look as models advertising the sasumata poles.

There was one title change on the show and it came when Moka Miyamoto defeated Suzume for the International Princess Championship! Suzume added a rope walk Flying Facecrusher to her moveset and followed it up with the low range Ring A Bell. But when she jumped from the ropes to do the Spring Ring A Bell, Miyamoto dodged it and connected with the Zero Fighter Kick. Suzume was helpless from there and got pinned with the Korokan afterward for the title change. Miyamoto happily cried over winning her first championship especially because it happened two days before the 5th anniversary of her debut match. She is also pleased that the move she originally created for her first title challenge was what won her the match today. She is now looking forward to defending the title against foreign challengers so she can show them Japanese pro wrestling. Suzume is sad to see her title reign stop here when she feels like she is at her strongest. But having the title expanded her world and the reason she won it is because everyone believed in her. She knows she will bounce back from this and not miss out on the hot summer ahead.

The return of Billie Starkz to Japan also meant the return of the big move heavy style of wrestling you’d see on the American indies. Miyu Yamashita was happy to fight that way too even if she ends up getting a bit of a headache from it afterwards. At one point Starkz lifted her up at ringside and did a running Alabama Slam into the ring apron that saw Yamashita almost smack her head off of the edge. Yamashita returned the favour by giving Starkz the Attitude Adjustment from the ring apron to the floor. Back in the ring Starkz started getting frustrated when a Swanton Bomb and Tombstone Piledriver would not put Yamashita away. She then tried lifting her up for the Sugoi Driver but Yamashita slipped off behind her and applied a Sleeper Hold. Starkz used the Alabama Slam again to throw Yamashita into the corner and went for another Sugoi Driver but it was countered into a Victory Roll that led to Yamashita German Suplexing Starkz into the turnbuckles! Yamashita then hit the Crash Rabbit Heat in the middle of the ring to pin Starkz for the three count. Backstage Yamashita said today was the first time in three months she’s been in a TJPW ring and in that time she spent a lot of her tour with Starkz. She’s amazed at what Starkz has accomplished while only being 20 years old and enjoys fighting her, even when she does some crazy unexpected things. She wants Starkz to wrestle in TJPW again and suggested they even team up here. Starkz calls Yamashita one of her best opponents. Also as much as she was happy to wrestle on TJPW’s Dallas show, she said nothing can replace the feeling of wrestling on a TJPW show in Japan.

A lot of effort went into the entrances for the intergender tag match. TeaDK walked out dressed like royalty and being accompanied by servants. Meanwhile Maki Itoh made sure El Desperado got the full NEO Itoh Respect Army experience when the two of them danced to “Setsunairo”! Things went badly for TeaDK from the start. Desperado caught a Big Boot from Chris Brookes and threw his foot right into Emi Sakura’s face, causing her to get a nose bleed. Then Desperado and Brookes fought all the way up to the second floor to do the stretched rubber band spot on Itoh back in the ring. Brookes then introduced Itoh to Bunbun and the puppet gave her the middle finger. Itoh grabbed Bunbun and threw him out of the ring in response. Sakura was able to put Desperado in the Romero Special but Brookes used a Piledriver to get rid of him. Sakura then beat down Itoh with a Double Arm Backbreaker and Short-Range Lariat. Itoh showed resistance by sticking up her middle finger but Sakura then finished her off with the Queen’s Gambit to pin her. Backstage Sakura said the NEO Itoh Respect Army put 100% into their entrance but when the bell rang they didn’t give it their all. She also said Brookes didn’t do his share of the work either so this win was all entirely thanks to herself! Itoh praised Despy for the entrance and called him a great idol along with being a great IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion. She is now thinking of uniting all of the NEO Itoh Respect Army together so they can release a debut CD together.

Everyone had to watch their backs for the 3 Way Tag Match. Arisu Endo and Haru Kazashiro started off the match exchanging chain holds until Yuki Kamifuku eye raked the both of them. She then called VENY in so VENYU could work over Kazashiro until Endo & Jada Stone took control. Kazashiro continued taking the brunt of the attacks until she could tag in Yuki Aino. VENY got time in the ring with Stone and Kazashiro that ended with a triple down and tags to their partners. The two members of the Tokyo Joshi Tokusatsu Club then turned it up a notch with Aino giving Stone & Endo a Double Side Suplex. Things broke down with VENY doing a Moonsault onto Stone outside the ring while Kamifuku tried to finish off whoever she could find. But Kazashiro came in to give her the Fisherman Suplex. That left Aino in the ring with Endo. Aino countered the Ju no Okite into a Running Bulldog and then used the UBV on Endo to pin her. Kazashiro said this was her first 3 Way Tag match and she didn’t know what to do during the chaos. Aino praised the other teams for being strong and admitted some luck went their way. But they’re going to use this positive power to do more. VENYU were annoyed because they thought this was going to be an easy win. VENY is also noticing the last few times she’s been teaming with Kamifuku they’ve been losing. She doesn’t get invited to TJPW much so when she does she wants to get a belt! Kamifuku told her they can go to Ginza if she wants to look for a new belt.

Some new looks were on display for the 8-Woman Tag Match. Kaya Toribami and Chika Nanase had new costumes while Toga wore a fancy pair of sunglasses that look similar to the ones Kira Summer wears. Yuna Manase showed up with a new title belt to go along with the Kitsune World Title. Yesterday she won the Daily Sports Tag Team Title over at a PURE-J show. She accidentally dropped that belt to the floor during her ring entrance. Mahiro Kiryu’s once per match apology was her saying sorry for bringing a hot woman like Manase here when it’s already so hot every day. The match came down to Nanase lifting up Wakana Uehara into the Inari Torii Kai only for Mifu Ashida to kick her from behind. Uehara later jumped onto Nanase and rolled her into the Bannana Pillow to make her give up. Toga said her team had a good mix of power and flexibility to win. The wrestlers with power made up for those who didn’t have any and it went the other way with flexibility. Toga & Uehara were also happy to wrestle Manase who had already graduated from TJPW years before they debuted. They were able to show her some of TJPW’s new faces that have popped up while she was gone. Manase thought she had gotten stronger after winning another championship yesterday but she wasn’t able to help her teammates today. She learned she will still have to become even stronger.

Pom Harajuku showed up with her face painted to match Kyoko Inoue’s design but when it was time for their tag match to begin, their opponents decided to take a nap in the ring. Harajuku convinced Inoue they should go straight for the pin but Raku rolled the both of them on top of Andreza Giant Panda for a nearfall. Raku & Andreza then piled themselves on top of them for another nearfall. Inoue was then put to sleep by the power of Raku’s eyemask and lullaby but Harajuku woke her up by screaming. Inoue tried attacking Andreza with Mongolion Chops but Andreza knocked her back with his own version of the move as well as a Spinning Back Fist. Andreza also swatted Harajuku away at points but she was able to knock him down with a Missile Dropkick to the back. Raku gave Inoue a Russian Leg Sweep with an assist from Andreza pushing them over. Andreza then knocked out Harajuku with a Headbutt and pinned her with the Andreza Press. Raku said her team spent most of the day sleeping which is why they were able to win. Andreza’s handler Ossan Tiger agreed because Andreza slept for more than 10 hours, the perfect amount. Harajuku was upset not because she lost but because Inoue wasn’t looking when she was doing her best. Next time she will show Inoue just how cool she is.

The rookie Ren Konatsu got to be on the winning side of a tag team match for the first time. She has HIMAWARI to thank for that. Konatsu was taken out by Shino Suzuki late in the match leaving HIMAWARI to fight Uta Takami. She broke out of the Koala Clutch to give Takami the Princess Drop. Then after that she pinned Takami with the Sunflower Tempest. HIMAWARI was happy to be in the opening match at Ota Ward Gymnasium again because she wanted to make up for losing the opening match at “GRAND PRINCESS ’25” back in March. She also wanted to lead Konatsu for her first big event match of her career. Konatsu only just debuted but she said she has a strong desire to liven things up. Takami is disappointed she lost but appreciates getting to experience all kinds of emotions like happiness, frustration and fun! She hopes some day she will go on a bus tour across Japan with Suzuki for a wrestling trip together.

Welcome to the middle point of the year and the second of three visits to Ota Ward Gymnasium in 2025. As we enter part two in this trilogy of big venue events for Tokyo Joshi Pro this year I’m trying to figure out if a three act story can be pieced together in regards to the company’s top champion. It’s either going to be that or the inauguration of their next ace. A successful tour of Texas earlier this month has provided a gust of momentum for TJPW going into the show and perhaps even a fresh group of eyes looking towards the event, at least internationally. On the undercard a lot of the wrestlers are focusing on the upcoming Tokyo Princess Cup. Even a few of the champions have set up goals to win the tournament while holding their titles. That’s if they make it out of Ota Ward with the belt still in their hands of course. Then once the Cup is done with the road will take TJPW back here for “WRESTLE PRINCESS VI” in September. Now let’s see if this really is going to be Act II of a year long story.

1. HIMAWARI & Ren Konatsu Vs Shino Suzuki & Uta Takami

I don’t know what it is about the new rookie but whenever I look into Ren Konatsu’s eyes I see the crazy vibes of MAO hiding deep in there somewhere. This is way, way down the line by the way because she hasn’t even entered her third month as a pro wrestler yet. All I’m saying is it only takes the little sheep toy clipped to her belt to start whispering ideas into her head and next thing you know she’s using her opponents to smash plastic boxes into pieces. If the sheep suddenly gets replaced with a Labubu then we’re really going to see some trouble down the line.

I thought TJPW had something going on for HIMAWARI and Shino Suzuki by making them team up every now and then going back to the previous Ota Ward show. Instead they are going to be opponents here. HIMAWARI is teaming with Konatsu and is the only one in this match who qualified for the Princess Cup. Suzuki’s failure to get past the prelimary rounds may become a pivotal point in her career because she is now seeing how little progress she’s been making in her three years as a wrestler. Uta Takami meanwhile has her whole future ahead of her and had a big role on this year’s “HYPE!” show. Maybe she’s the one I should be worried about possibly turning crazy instead of Konatsu.

2. Andreza Giant Panda & Raku Vs Kyoko Inoue & Pom Harajuku

A potential monster bout ended up changing its plans but in doing so brings in a brand new joshi legend into the TJPW ring for the first time. Max The Impaler was supposed to return to Japan so they could team up with Pom Harajuku again. Unfortunately according to TJPW Max has health issues preventing them from being able to travel for the show so that put a stop to Pompaler getting back together for now. Harajuku’s new tag partner is the fearsome and face painted Kyoko Inoue! I wonder if United Japan Pro Wrestling is the reason why we’re getting this appearance? Inoue is the founder and current president of World Woman Pro-Wrestling Diana based in Kanagawa. The joshi group recently joined UJPW as a supporting member and TJPW is already a member so the connection is there to be made.

There might be a jealous Up Up Girl in the locker room once Inoue is in the ring because one of the highlights of her classic matches was always the Giant Swing. Will she be the one to do it to Andreza Giant Panda? The last time Andreza showed up in TJPW he went viral for getting bonked over the head with a Pico Pico Hammer. This place is starting to get too dangerous for him. For Raku though she’s been living a dream ever since her last visit to Ota Ward. Back in March she beat Harajuku to win the SETUP All Asia Women’s Title, her first proper championship reign. While she no longer holds the belt things are just going swimmingly for her lately. This match is just going to be another trip inside her sleepy wonderland. Maybe she’ll bring the Buc-ee toy she bought in Texas with her for Andreza to play with.

3. Yuna Manase, Mahiro Kiryu, Kaya Toribami & Chika Nanase Vs Wakana Uehara, Toga, Mifu Ashida & Kira Summer

Time to throw a mixture of women into the ring, shake it back and forth and see who comes out of it the last ones standing. Yuna Manase pays another visit to TJPW. While she’s been rocking the Ganbare☆Joshi division over in Ganbare☆Pro in Japan, she’s also been flying the flag for Kitsune over in America as their top champion. Mahiro Kiryu was settling into a new tag team with Haruna Neko until Neko got injured yet again so she’s sort of just been floating around at the moment. Kaya Toribami finally had something of a level up by getting to challenge for the MLW Women’s Featherweight Title last month and putting in a pretty good performance. She also has a new costume ready to debut for this show so maybe things are looking up for the bird. Chika Nanase is starting to move up into the next phase of her young career. Where she goes from here is anyone’s guess.

Over on the other team Wakana Uehara is progressing at a nice pace. She has a named tag team as part of Ober Eats, got to challenge for a championship and at this point is pretty much guaranteed to be part of the crew for every USA tour. As long as she keeps her appetite, I see good things coming for her in the future. The times Toga has mostly been standing out lately is from whenever she gets to play an ikemen role of some sort. In regular matches though she’s had a few setbacks lately. Mifu Ashida’s win-loss record since coming here hasn’t been great either. She’s been a bit busy doing other things lately but a time like now is always a good place to start turning things around. Kira Summer has been seeing the growth of women’s wrestling in Asia and Australia this year. It is motivating her to join in and play her part in helping it grow even more.

4. 3 Way Tag Match: Yuki Kamifuku & VENY Vs Yuki Aino & Haru Kazashiro Vs Arisu Endo & Jada Stone

Ober Eats is one of the new teams to appear on the scene this year but Yuki Kamifuku is going back to one of her favorite choices in her wardrobe. She is bringing VENY back so VENYU can team up together again! VENY has spent the year ruling over SEAdLINNNG with a five month reign as Beyond The Sea Champion. Once that title run came to an end she’s been going from place to place in the joshi scene with TJPW becoming her next brief stop. Yuki Aino is fresh off of coming out as the main character of this year’s “HYPE!” show. The lesson she learned coming out of it is she will never be alone in TJPW and that might finally be what leads her out of the maze she’s been stuck in ever since her sister Nodoka Tenma graduated. I’m probably going to be writing that opinion again and again until the end of time.

Aino will be teaming with Haru Kazashiro who continues to grow into a future high card player for the promotion. Once she gets her final year of high school out of the way, the sky’s the limit for how far she will go in the ring. She is already developing the ring smarts to gradually figure out how to perfect the Fisherman Suplex but a 3 Way Tag Match like this is probably too chaotic an environment to show that off. The third team is a fitting mixture of pep and spark. Arisu Endo has been taking a back seat for her Daisy Monkey’s partners success. She hasn’t been letting that dampen her spirits. Jada Stone is now well accustomed to TJPW but it looks like she has a new place to call home. She was recently offered a contract by TNA so I’m not sure if she will continue to do tours here. If this is close to the end then she’s certainly made good use of her time in TJPW.

5. Special Tag Match: El Desperado & Maki Itoh Vs Chris Brookes & Emi Sakura

Are there as many wrestlers out there who are currently living out their dreams like El Desperado has? He gets to fulfill his most violent desires by having several deathmatches with Jun Kasai, pals around with the likes of MAO and Chris Brookes especially when it comes to the more sleazy indies style of wrestling. There’s nobody else in New Japan who is quite as in sync with the current wrestling scene than good ol’ Despy. Now he gets to tick off another line in his bucket list by getting to team with Maki Itoh! The two got to know each other in America two years ago when they were both booked on the same GCW show. The idea was thrown around for them to team up. Now that it’s happening it finally occurred to Despy that he has to learn Itoh’s song and dance in order to be accepted into the Itoh Respect Army. Rehersals so far have not been promising. Brookes was at least able to pull the dance off so the current IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion has no excuse. Come on man you used to carry a guitar around. Surely you can carry a tune too?

TJPW brought Despy & Itoh together because they needed a poison pairing that could match the same level as TeaDK. Brookes & Emi Sakura teamed up in TJPW last March for “GRAND PRINCESS ’24” and it didn’t go according to plan for them. They lost to The Magical Sugar Rabbits and blamed each other over the result. Time healed those wounds so they are teaming up again to give TJPW another go. Sakura has had several matches with Sakura over the years, most of them in an AEW ring. Thankfully they haven’t needed to staple each other over and over like Brookes and Despy do whenever they fight. Oh God, don’t let Itoh arm herself with a stapler!

6. Special Single Match: Miyu Yamashita Vs Billie Starkz

One of Miyu Yamashita’s toughest rivals on her excursions to America is Billie Starkz. When it comes to their previous matches Starkz has beaten Yamashita more than the other way around. It’s a friendly rivalry though and the two of them even had something of a good tag team going on during Yamashita’s recent stay in GCW. So when Yamashita heard that Starkz would love nothing more than to wrestle in Japan again she got TJPW to set this match up.

So yeah, that’s pretty much it. Not a lot of story to set this up and it remains to be seen if this is just a one off attraction match to have for the big show. Yamashita only has one championship left to win in TJPW to have achieved every single accomplishment available to her. If anything her winning this match would be done to establish her as the favorite for the Princess Cup. A win for Starkz here though should be followed up on. A younger wrestler beating Yamashita in her home promotion is worth a title shot of some sort down the line. We don’t really need to worry about locker room politics either because it’s become pretty clear recently that Yamashita has some sort of deal in place with AEW/ROH.

7. International Princess Title: Suzume (c) Vs Moka Miyamoto

Now we get into the big three matches of the show. The three championships are all currently on a reliable group of wrestlers so where the belts go from here is a good question to think about. If Suzume was to lose the International Princess Title here she would have left a good mark as champion. Her reign has been a little bit different than the others thanks to a pair of defences against Jada Stone, one in Japan and the rematch in America. It’s unusual for someone to defend a Princess Title against the same challenger twice in one reign. It’s also not that common for the IP Champion to defend the belt overseas when that’s meant to be the whole bloody point of it! When it’s all said and done, Suzume will have a good argument towards having one of the more defining runs as IP Champion. She’s already said she feels like she has evolved from a bee into a hornet because of this title. Her ultimate goal is to become queen bee of TJPW!

Her challenger Moka Miyamoto has also become attached to the belt but it’s becoming for a pretty bad reason. This is going to be her third time challenging for the IP Title after failing to win it twice before. It is the title she wants most because she believes having an international championship is the best way for her to spread Japanese culture across the world. Part of that culture is Japan’s technology and Miyamoto thinks there has to be some kind of Japanese technology out there that is good for getting rid of hornets! The two traded wins with each other during the Texas tour so it’s all even going into Ota Ward.

8. Princess Tag Team Titles: Shoko Nakajima & Hyper Misao (c) Vs Rika Tatsumi & Miu Watanabe

Okay where do sasumata poles stand on the police brutality scale because they’re going to be mentioned a lot in this part of the preview and the girls have already used them to literally crucify Tetsuya Koda. The existence of these things have been the blight of Kyoraku Kyomei’s last couple of weeks. Other than that things are going great for the Princess Tag Team Champions. The big kaiju Shoko Nakajima was let loose in MLW and she quickly acquired the MLW Women’s Title. Meanwhile Hyper Misao lived through the stress of putting together the third annual “HYPE!” show and came out of it in one piece. They were looking forward to their next crazy adventure with the Princess Tag Titles but weren’t ready for how it would be set up.

One year ago the headline match of “SUMMER SUN PRINCESS ’24” was the battle of Daydream between Rika Tatsumi and Miu Watanabe. In the aftermath the two appeared to have gone their separate ways and they went almost a year without teaming up again. That was until a month ago when Daydream reunited and ambushed Kyoraku Kyomei with sasumata poles, demanding a title shot. The champions agreed to the match because Daydream are the kind of strong team they’re looking to beat. Ever since then Tatsumi & Watanabe have been attacking Nakajima & Misao with sasumata poles in their preview matches. Kyoraku Kyomei reached their breaking point over it and stole the sasumatas away from their challengers. They then tried to properly recycle them under the watchful eye of GM Koda until Daydream appeared to try and take their weapons back by force. That led to Nakajima & Misao taping the poles to Koda like a crucifix but Daydream were able to take him back too. Now that the weapons are back in the challengers’ hands they have the advantage going into the title match. Will the champs decided to fight fire with fire or will they have something else under their sleeves to foil Daydream’s plan?

9. Princess Of Princess Title: Mizuki (c) Vs Yuki Arai

This is going one of two ways. Either we are firmly in Mizuki’s era as the dominant Princess Of Princess Champion where she will headline all of the Ota Ward shows or TJPW decides now is the time to crown Yuki Arai as their new top draw. Mizuki has already toppled Watanabe (to win the belt), Tatsumi and Yamashita (the two defences) in this title reign. If she beats Arai here I see her holding onto the belt for a long time to come so she can have her definitive main event run in the promotion. Arai meanwhile made the choice to go all in on having pro wrestling be her career so while she has all the time in the world to achieve the final piece of the TJPW Grand Slam, I wouldn’t be shocked to see the company strike now while the iron is hot.

History doesn’t paint a clear picture for how this is going to go. Arai won the Princess Tag Titles on her first try and Mizuki was one of the champions back then. Arai was involved with the finish but it was Saki Akai who pinned Mizuki for the victory. When it comes to the International Princess Title however Arai failed to win it twice before becoming champion on her third attempt (hey, that’s a good sign for Miyamoto). This main event is her first time fighting for the Princess Of Princess Title. Only a select few have held the title and none were ever able to beat the champion on their first try. But that’s just the kind of record a wrestler booked like Arai would go on to break, right? After all, this is the idol who only needed one Finally Axe Kick to beat the unstoppable Max The Impaler and earned an endorsement from Meiko Satomura. She’s been groomed since day one to become the promotion’s next ace and her quick success is evidence of it.

Arai is not taking this moment for granted. It’s her first big match since graduating from SKE48. When she juggled her idol career with her wrestling career she felt like she wasn’t as good as everyone else in TJPW. But now that she’s fully focused on just wrestling she is eager to go challenge all of her seniors and eventually take the lead of the promotion. Mizuki has a goal in mind to win the Princess Cup while she holds the Princess Title. She has already proved that princesses are stronger than monsters. But are they stronger than successful pop singers?

Nakamura would have gotten injured by Mizuki Watase last month if it wasn’t for Sugiura throwing in the towel. Watase gets needing to preserve yourself for the big title match but he and Shigehiro Irie want the challengers to not say die once the actual match takes place.

The Grace Group bus company have their own independent wrestling promotion called GRACE PROJECT. They don’t really have their own roster, save for Captain Grace who is the man in charge of the whole thing. Instead their shows are filled with indie wrestlers from across Japan including those who compete in BASARA. So a lot of familiar faces are showing up in their offer match for the show.

The new bond between the Super Family is not as strong as the farmer’s bond that Hyakusho Ikki have. Lil’ Kraken missed a Frog Splash, giving FUMA the opening to submit him with an Armbar. He called Kraken & Akira Jo tough opponents after the match but he and Ryuichi Sekine are hard workers from the countryside. They spent the morning preparing for this Iron Fist Tag Team Titles by feeding chickens and cleaning out their coops before travelling to the venue. FUMA doesn’t understand why young people today think working hard is uncool but he and Sekine are going to cherish today’s successful title defence. They now have two wins with 98 to go until they reach their goal of 100 title defences.

Takeru Inoue lost to Ryota Nakatsu in his return match from injury. He shook Nakatsu’s hand afterwards and Nakatsu twisted Inoue’s healed arm as a joke. He said he only did it to show Inoue survived having his injured limb targeted. Inoue said the pain he felt in the match was something he hadn’t felt in a long time but he is happy to wrestle again. Nakatsu is still decided who the next Union MAX Title challenger should be. He said he got a few challenges from other promotions after he won the Chouten ~Itadaki~ but his time is now being taken up by his new role as BASARA’s president.

Match #2 ended in a draw when both teams all got tangled up with each other from a back and forth Double Brainbuster spot. Isami Kodaka, Shiori Asahi, Yasu Urano and Hagane Shinno all ended up rolling their shoulders onto the canvas and they were all pinned for the three count.

Takato Nakano & Masato Kamino opened up the show with an announcement for BASARA’s return to Korakuen Hall on 3rd August. Aijin Tag will team up to face Isami Kodaka & El Desperado! Kamino is aware that Desperado and Nakano already know each other but does Desperado know who he is? He sent out a warning that despite his muscular look, he is still a junior heavyweight so he is going to overwhelm the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion with his muscles!

Today’s show was an experiment in pushing the idea of inter-promotional wrestling warfare to its limit. It was ten years ago when a blossoming working relationship between DDT and New Japan led to a dream match that instead became a nightmare. A battle of the aces turned sour when New Japan’s ace Hiroshi Tanahashi vehemently rejected the idea that DDT’s ace HARASHIMA was even close to his level. A few months later there was an apology of sorts when DDT was able to book a tag match between HARASHIMA & Ken Ohka against Tanahashi & Yohei Komatsu. DDT came out on the winning side but the result never sat right with Toru Yano who felt that NJPW should never lose in these situations. Regardless, once the match was over DDT’s working relationship with New Japan pretty much came to an end (there’s also the Kota Ibushi double contract drama that happened around the same time period but that’s a whole different story and he’s currently persona non grata to both companies so let’s just ignore it for now).

On paper it was a one match card that was built upon years of history between DDT and New Japan Pro Wrestling. What it turned into was a pro wrestling therapy session to mend the decade long damaged relationship between both companies. It could also just all have been a grand plan by Muscle Sakai to trick wrestling fans into attending a Muscle show. Every element of the event was produced twice, one end by the DDT side and the other by the NJPW side. Wrestle Universe and NJPW World had separate PPV broadcasts of the show with their own commentary team and camera crew. Korakuen Hall even had two screens set up side by side just to show the differences in the separate broadcasts.

The crowd were split into separate cheering sections to keep DDT fans and NJPW fans away from each other. Both companies also provided their own referees and ring announcers. Haruo Murata was given the neutral role of explaining the rules since he works closely with both companies. The agreed rule was there would be one referee for the match but Yukinori Matsui and Kenta Sato would have to trade shifts every five minutes. Sato won the draw to be the ref at the beginning. Inoue Mic and Makoto Abe would ring their bells together to start the match but only one would get to announce the winner depending on who won. Finally a lottery determined that Yano would enter first and Sasadango second. Normally in Japan the wrestler who enters second is considered higher in rank.

Next the commentary teams were revealed. New Japan had Shinpei Nogami and Milano Collection A.T. calling the match for NJPW World while Wrestle Universe relied on Ken Suzuki and… Haruo Murata! Turns out he wasn’t going to play neutral after all. Danshoku Dieno then came out to encourage cheers from the DDT fans. Hiromu Takahashi then showed up to do the same with the NJPW crowd. This kept going until Dieno snuck up behind Takahashi. He tried to put him in the Lip Lock but the lights went out and it was time for the show to begin!

Yano made his entrance and along the way handed his towel to a lucky fan named Yuji Nagata who was sitting in the front row. When the match started, Yano quickly left the ring and came back carrying a Louis Vuitton bag as a present for Sasadango. When Sasadango bent over to take a look inside, Yano knocked it into his face resulting in a cloud of powder blowing out of the bag and supposedly blinding him. Yano then rolled him up but only got a nearfall. Another roll up attempt had Sasadango complaining because the show is scheduled to last for another two hours. They then had a strike exchange that Yano didn’t like so he left the ring again. He and Sasadango decided to waste time by going around ringside signing autographs for fans until they had to break the 20 count.

Five minutes had passed and Sato had to be replaced by Matsui. Yano quickly decided to brawl with Sasadango all the way out of the room and into a nearby elevator before they went back into the room so Yano could throw Sasadango into the railings. However Sasadango’s ringboy Kazuma Sumi suddenly grabbed him and held on to stop Yano from doing another Irish Whip. That caused Yano’s young lion Daiki Nagai to confront him and start a fight between the two youngsters! Sasadango and Yano saw what was going on and came up with an idea. If the fans want to see the rookies fight then they’ll let it happen!

All of a sudden an exhibition bout between Sumi and Nagai began. For three minutes they exchanged holds and got into a strike battle until the match was ruled a time limit draw. Sasadango wanted it to continue so he allowed a five minute overtime to begin. This time the match was more clearly about Sumi’s agility against Nagai’s power but again it ended in a draw when the extra time ran out. The enthusiastic effort of both wrestlers overwhelmed Sasadango and he asked for a time out so he could clear his mind. Yano agreed and the two walked back to their locker rooms.

To keep the audience occupied during this break, Antonio Honda entered the ring to promote the special T-shirt that Shinsuke Nakamura designed for the show. However he tripped over the ropes and hurt his knee. This was supposed to set up Gongitsune but YOH interrupted it because he hates foxes! He told everyone the story of when he was four years old and got bitten by a fox. Honda told YOH he makes a living doing fox jokes so he wasn’t going to stop it just for him. YOH climbed into the ring to attack Honda only to trips over the ropes and hurt himself just like Honda did. Honda then suggested they do Gongitsune together so YOH could get over his hatred of foxes. He led him into doing a dick joke about “Mission Chinpo-ssible” before they tried attacking each other with Gongitsune. They struggled until their hands formed together shaped like a heart and before they knew it, they were dancing together. When they were done Honda told the audience there was more of the show to come.

Sasadango returned but instead of continuing his match (that was still in progress) he decided to do one of his famous PowerPoint Presentations instead. Titled “How Can I Defeat Toru Yano And Win The One-On-One Confrontation Match” Sasadango explained he wants Yano to take the match more seriously. To make that happen Sasadango decided that his DDT Extreme Title was now on the line! And since the Extreme Champion gets to create the match stipulation, Sasadango deliberately came up with a match format that Yano will not want to lose. Two of the corner pads just so happened to be sponsored by businesses related to the two wrestlers. There was a Sakai Seiki Co. Ltd sponsor pad belonging to Sasadango and a EBRIETAS sponsor pad belonging to Yano. Whoever could unhook their opponent’s corner pad and pin it down on the canvas for a three count would become the winner!

Yano returned to the ring to repeat the match introductions now that is was turned into a title bout. He immediately removed Sasadango’s turnbuckle and attack him with it. He then removed his own turnbuckle to hide it beneath the ring. Sasadango retrieved it thanks to help from some fans telling him which side of the ring it was hidden in. He and Yano continued to hit each other with turnbuckles until Sasadango dared Yano to fight him using Strong Style. Yano did so but soon changed his mind and taped Sasadango to one of the other corners. He then pinned the turnbuckle but right before the three count was made, time stopped.

The song “Etupirka” played over the speakers as everyone was given a chance to see into Sasadango’s thoughts at this moment in time. He was digging deep inside himself looking for the strength he needed to break the pin. With everything now in slow motion, Honda cut the tape away and Sasadango broke Yano’s pin in time. He knocked down Yano with the other turnbuckle and began to pin it when time froze again. This time we got to hear Yano’s inner thoughts, which was pretty much him shilling the EBRIETAS bar. Somehow that made his turnbuckle pad kick out of Sasadango’s pin by itself! Yano then made fun of the slow motion gimmick and made the song play in fast forward, forcing the two of them to fight at the same speed.

Yano had the advantage at this point so Honda and Akito ran into the ring to fight him. Yano fought off the 3-on-1 disadvantage by using Low Blows and Manhattan Drops until he collapsed from exhaustion. YOH ran in to check on him and now everyone could hear his inner thoughts. YOH said he hasn’t paid back his debt to Yano from ten years ago and he has never lived a day of his life without him. Sasadango brought everyone back to reality and asked YOH what he meant about a debt from 10 years ago? YOH said he meant the tag match he and Tanahashi had against HARASHIMA & Ohka where HARASHIMA pinned him with the Somato. He never got over losing that match while Yano still doesn’t accept why NJPW lost and Tanahashi had to apologise afterward. Akito reminded the fans that this longstanding grudge began when Tanahashi said he didn’t want DDT to be treated as NJPW’s equal. He thought the grudge was finally settled when Konosuke Takeshita beat Tanahashi in America recently but now he realizes it hasn’t ended for YOH yet. YOH admitted how weird it is that he is still wrestling with these feelings while Tanahashi hasn’t been bothered by it at all. Sasadango brought up that at the tag match a decade ago, he remembers Tanahashi called Yohei Komatsu a future start but in the ten years since then that hasn’t happened at all! YOH went as far as to do the Somato on MAO at the Best Of The Super Jr. yet it seems like Tanahashi has completely forgotten about that match! If only Tanahashi would care enough to be here and explain himself…

Yano then remembered that Tanahashi is currently being interviewed somewhere by the comedian Ryota Yamasato. Sasadango helps out with Yamasato’s Youtube channel so he knows that Yamasato likes to film his guests in the Chinese restaurant three floors below Korakuen Hall. In fact he can get a video feed onto one of the screens. The video stream showed Yamasato ending the interview and telling the viewers that Tanahashi is about to leave. But he is certain if Tanahashi ever hears a crowd chanting his name, he will be drawn towards them. The fans began the chant and Tanahashi couldn’t help but notice it. Say his name and he appears, Hiroshi Tanahashi entered Korakuen Hall with Yamasato following him!

After Tanahashi introduced himself, Sasadango had a question for him. Does he remember calling YOH a future star ten years ago? Tanahashi was at a loss for words and couldn’t answer. Sasadango then played a video of the comment as proof. He then told Tanahashi to give YOH some tips in front of everyone on how to become a star. After giving it some thought, Tanahashi said YOH doesn’t need somebody to make him a star. He instead needs to be one of the stars of New Japan. The advice didn’t quite work so Yamasato stepped in to help. He knew something like this would happen so he prepared his own PowerPoint Presentation!

Yamasato’s first advice in the presentation is a wrestler needs to find success in their home promotion. YOH has won the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Titles many times and recently made it to the Best Of The Super Jr. final but he is still one step away from becoming the ace he wants to be. The key is he needs to win an inter-promotional match against another big wrestling company! All of a sudden he noticed there were three DDT wrestlers and three NJPW wrestlers in the ring so he came up with the idea for them to do a 6-Man Tag Match straight away. After all this could be YOH’s final chance to team with Tanahashi for a shot at revenge against DDT. Everyone agreed and they all left ringside so they could do proper entrances for the match.

It was a full length trios match where Tanahashi, Yano & YOH were victorious against Sasadango, Akito & Honda. Sasadango gave Tanahashi the Vertical Drop Lehman Shock but only got a two count. He tried it a second time but Tanahashi escaped and gave him the Sling Blade. YOH called his partner for a tag but when he was setting Sasadango up for the finish, Tanahashi suddenly tagged himself back in, climbed the top rope and hit the High Fly Flow to get the three count for himself! Sasadango got annoyed because he put together all this effort to put YOH over just for Tanahashi to steal the glory. This is why he hates New Japan!

Sasadango was about to declare an end to DDT and New Japan’s recovering relationship when he was interrupted by Amon Tsurumi. The former GM of Muscle said Sasadango is always worried about looking good which is why he keeps losing. He should be watching more WCW Nitro and learn from that instead! Tsurumi then revealed he is now the executive director of the World Pro Wrestling Union, the world’s first automatic pro wrestling industry organization which automatically operates every wrestling company around the world. The main goal of the operation is to maintain peace in the wrestling industry. He is here because it is absolutely unacceptable for New Japan and DDT to be fighting each other on a Monday night! All six wrestlers who just had the match are going to receive serious penalties for what they’ve done.

To sort this out Tsurumi has called upon The Pro Wrestling Peacekeeper Force. Six elite wrestlers are on their way to crush those they deem responsible. The Force turned out to be HARASHIMA, Toru Owashi, Shuji Ishikawa, Ken Ohka & MAO. Plus there was their leader who was making a one night only return from his hiatus, Sanshiro Takagi! A 12-Man Tag Match broke out with everyone brawling all over the venue.

The match included MAO giving Tanahashi the Sling Blade and Takagi also giving him the Stunner. Later Tanahashi got to face off with HARASHIMA again for the first time in a decade. Ishikawa blocked Honda’s Gongitsune but didn’t expect Tanahashi to poke him in the eyes with the same move instead! The NJPW x DDT Alliance got the upper hand and YOH was ready to get the win he was after for so long. Then Tanahashi tagged himself in again to give Takagi the Sling Blade. This time however YOH convinced Tanahashi to tag him back in so he could get the glory. YOH gave Takagi the Somato and then followed up with the Dragon Suplex to get the win.

After the 12-Man Tag was done, Takagi asked YOH if he knows what it means to beat him? YOH won the match but Takagi is only one member of DDT. The fight between the two companies isn’t over yet and will go on for years if not decades! He hopes YOH will become a superstar. Sasadango then explained to YOH that this whole entire thing going back to ten years ago was all Takagi’s fault. He is the root of all evil and Sasadango thanked YOH for beating Takagi. Tanahashi said he has learned a lot since becoming a company president. He thinks NJPW and DDT can work together more often from now on to make pro wrestling even more exciting. YOH said he feels like a little bit more of a star now but he will work hard to become a real one.

Yano then interrupted the closing speech to point out that his match with Sasadango hasn’t ended yet. He called for “Etupirka” to be played normally so everyone could hear his true thoughts. He thinks the right way to end today’s match is for every wrestler to get out of the ring and all be counted out together. That way the rivalry between New Japan and DDT can end in a draw. Everyone did so (including an El Desperado cameo) and they all waited for Matsui and Sato to both count to 20, meaning the match between Sasadango and Yano ended in a Double Countout after officially lasting for over two hours.

Before the show could end, Sasadango gave his thanks to everyone who was involved in putting the event together. He also had one more request for Tanahashi. He wanted him to do the Muscle Muscle pose to close out the show. Tanahashi made a deal with him to combine it with his “I Love You!” catchphrase. So in the end everyone shouted “3, 2, 1 Love Muscle! Muscle!” Even though the show was now over, the Wrestle Universe and NJPW World broadcasts couldn’t help but continue streaming just to see who could stay on the air longer.

Backstage Tanahashi admitted that after all of these years, DDT saved his heart. He didn’t go into this show thinking he had to atone for anything he did in the past. But he is happy to have done it with only six months left until his retirement from pro wrestling. Yano is impressed with himself because it was the first time he wrestled for two hours. It felt to him like NJPW and DDT were competing against each other on several levels. Sasadano said he could never imagine being able to hold a show like this in his 25 years as a wrestler. He thanks Yano for making so many dreams come true today.

Takagi got to talk about DDT’s involvement with New Japan that went back even further beyond 2015. He remembers when there were DDT wrestlers appearing on NJPW Lion’s Road shows during the mid 2000s. He admits DDT has never been able to catch up to NJPW but it suits him better to chase after them. He also brought up Takeshita’s current triple deal as well as MAO’s Best Of The Super Jr. appearance. Takagi also explained he got asked to take part in the show only recently and he felt good enough physically to do it. He may be able to get in the ring again in the not too distant future. He wants to get his body in shape and once he does he hopes everyone will look forward to his comeback.

1. DDT Pro Wrestling x New Japan Pro Wrestling One-Sided Match: Super Sasadango Machine Vs Toru Yano

Yesterday Super Sasadango Machine gave an impassioned PowerPoint Presentation to explain the history behind this DDT Vs New Japan one match show. He and Toru Yano have both taken past interactions between the two promotions personally and want to settle things their own way. There will be several wrestlers from both companies getting involved one way or another. Antonio Honda and YOH will be the special support ambassadors at ringside. MAO and El Desperado will both be there for special separate autograph sessions. Kazuma Sumi and Daiki Nagai will be working young boy duties. Yukinori Matsui and Kenta Sato have been appointed as the two referees. Also Inoue Mic and Makoto Abe will be the two ring announcers.

He & Jo will be challenging Hyakusho Ikki for the Iron Fist Tag Team Titles. The champs apparently have Ayumu Honda joining their side but he is not booked for this show.

Tyson Maeguchi is living up to his promise of becoming “Ultimate” whenever he will fight with his gloves on. Why else would he be teaming with Thanomsak Toba again?

Four months of recovery time was enough time to keep Yuki Iino away from the ring. He was eager to come back and jumped at the opportunity to team with Yukio Naya so they could challenge Astronauts for the KO-D Tag Team Titles.

Poison Sawada JULIE will be at the show to unveil the new Iron Man Heavymetalweight Championship belt. The second generation belt will continue the long, long, long lineage of the title. JULIE is currently the 1,471st champion as of this post.

Later this month Hyper Misao will be back from injury and just in time too because Kyoraku Kyomei now have their next Princess Tag Team Titles defence on the horizon. Last year when Miu Watanabe and Rika Tatsumi had their match for the Princess Of Princess Title, Tatsumi afterwards said Daydream were done teaming together because she believed Watanabe no longer needed her. Watanabe didn’t agree with that and the team was left in limbo for almost a year. Yesterday the two reunited and denied any claims that Daydream had disbanded. They are as united as ever and will prove it by going after the Princess Tag Titles again.

Will it be third time’s the charm for Moka Miyamoto. She has challenged for the International Princess Title twice and lost both times to Miu Watanabe and Yuki Arai. She is giving it another go now that Suzume is the champion and she has a recent pinfall over her that qualifies her for a rightful title shot.

Umbrellas are allowed to be used as weapons in Match #3 but only if they are officially licensed and approved beforehand.

Miu Watanabe, Raku, Pom Harajuku, Yuki Arai and Arisu Endo will be a ring announcer for one match each and they will all be wearing one of Namba’s different costumes from over the years.
