5. Chris Brookes & Antonio Honda (2)

The first Ultimate Tag League winners have been crowned and it is The 37KAMIINA! A tiebreaker match was expected to come out of the last day and it came with Konosuke Takeshita & Shunma Katsumata facing off against Daisuke Sasaki & Yuji Hino from DAMNATION. Their match earlier in the tournament ended in a draw and both teams were already tired from already wrestling their own matches earlier. It all came down to Katsumata using all of his strength to give Hino a Back Drop. With the big guy out of the way, they were able to give Sasaki the MADMAX to win the league. Takeshita thanked the fans for supporting them to the very end. Katsumata was really happy because this was the first league he has ever won. He then challenged Smile Pissari to a KO-D Tag Team Titles match!

The 37KAMIINA went over Junretsu to reach the tiebreaker with Katsumata getting the upset pinfall over Jun Akiyama! At first it looked like Junretsu had the match won when Makoto Oishi put Takeshita in the Fujiyama Knee Lock while Akiyama had Katsumata in a Front Neck Lock. Akiyama went to finish him off with the Wrist-Clutch Exploder when Takeshita broke in and hit a Knee Strike. Katsumata then rolled a surprised Akiyama over with a School Boy for the three count.

DAMNATION made it to the tiebreaker at Eruption’s expense. Yukio Sakaguchi trapped Sasaki in the Cross Armbreaker but Hino broke it by Power Bombing Kazusada Higuchi onto them. Sasaki then put Sakaguchi into the Cross Facelock and Sakaguchi had to give up.

In a preview of the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles match, DISASTER BOX defeated DAMNATION and HARASHIMA sent a message to Akiyama by using one of his signature moves to win. After HARASHIMA hit the Somato on Mad Paulie, he then applied a Front Neck Lock to make him submit. Tetsuya Endo & Soma Takao took their anger out on Kazuki Hirata afterwards even though he wasn’t in the match. Endo also showed disrespect to Toru Owashi at the start by stepping on the O-40 Title belt and calling him a pig. Naomi Yoshimura came out of the match feeling so motivated that he wants to target all of the DAMNATION members for his stablemates.

Akito couldn’t hide his smile when he saw Yuki Ueno enter the ring with his waist all taped up. Ueno got the last laugh today by hitting him with the WR while his team went on to win the match. Akito had to be helped out of the ring and Ueno told him he is still going to wear the DDT UNIVERSAL Title despite being bandaged up.

Hirata was mistreated even more when the 5 Way Match began before he entered the ring. Danshoku Dieno propped himself over the turnbuckles to provide an An*l Power charging station for everyone to use. It powered up Antonio Honda’s Gongitsune, Saki Akai’s Big Boot, Yuki Iino’s Haka Elbow and Hirata’s Tegatana hand. Iino hit the Haka Elbow on Honda but Hirata wiped his an*l charged hand over Iino’s face for a distraction and then stole the pin.

Toui Kojima is still trying to be accepted into The 37KAMIINA. He did the “NeppoWER!” pose to Keigo Nakamura instead of a handshake. Meanwhile Hideki Okatani almost broke Yuya Koroku in half with a Crab Hold.

Last day of the Ultimate Tag League and the four active teams all have a chance to win. It’s whoever finishes in first place uncontested who wins the league. If there is a tie at the end of the show then there will be a final match to break the deadlock. Junretsu and Eruption have the clearest chances to win in one match as long as one or the other loses. The 37KAMIINA and DAMNATION need to win their matches and hope one or the other doesn’t lose just to reach the tiebreaker.

Super Sasadango Machine attempted to crash another NOAH show this week to hold negotiations with Takashi Sugiura and Kazushi Sakuraba. He was stopped at the entrance again but this time purchased a ticket to be allowed into the show. Unfortunately he was told by a staff member that neither Sugiura or Sakuraba were present. Sasadango explained to him that he brought gifts for Sugiura and Sakuraba and asked for them to be passed along. Sugiura is getting sasadango dumplings while Sakuraba is getting medicine for his pollen allergies.

X in the Tokyo Joshi Pro opener is still a mystery. YUMI’s big news over the weekend is she’s entering the idol industry as part of a new group called Tokyo Survivor. So that’s her completely out of wrestling now.

1. Masahiro Takanashi Vs Fuminori Abe

January was supposed to be the return match for Masahiro Takanashi after being out of action with knee injuries. However he cancelled his self-produced show due to the pandemic. After months of waiting he finally decided to go ahead with the show and is setting it up for this July. Takanashi’s scheduled opponent hasn’t changed. It’s Fuminori Abe, the man he last fought when his injury happened. This year Takanashi has done an exhibition match and has shown up on some wrestling shows here and there but he hasn’t been in a proper wrestling match since March 2020 where his injury took place.

Also on the show are Chris Brookes, Yukio Sakaguchi, Isami Kodaka, Emi Sakura and the UMA Corps. More are expected to appear.

4. Akito & Yusuke Okada defeated Yuki Ueno & Toui Kojima when Okada pinned Kojima with the Fisherman Buster (13:20).
5. Naomi Yoshimura defeated Yuki Iino with a Lariat (9:14).
6. Ultimate Tag League 2021: Konosuke Takeshita & Shunma Katsumata (3) defeated Chris Brookes & Antonio Honda (2) when Katsumata pinned Honda with a Cradle (17:22).
7. Ultimate Tag League 2021: Jun Akiyama & Makoto Oishi (4) defeated Kazusada Higuchi & Yukio Sakaguchi (4) when Oishi submitted Sakaguchi with the Fujiyama Knee Lock (15:47).

Ultimate Tag League 2021 Standings

1. Jun Akiyama & Makoto Oishi (4)
-. Kazusada Higuchi & Yukio Sakaguchi (4)
3. Daisuke Sasaki & Yuji Hino (3)
-. Konosuke Takeshita & Shunma Katsumata (3)
5. Chris Brookes & Antonio Honda (2)

It’s still all to play for after Day 4 of the Ultimate Tag League. One team who had it in the bag are letting it slip while the team that looked to be out of it caught a second wind. While Kazusada Higuchi and Jun Akiyama took care of each other, Yukio Sakaguchi tried to hunt down Makoto Oishi. It got real bad for Oishi when Sakaguchi literally knocked his front teeth out (Oishi’s front teeth are all replacements)! But in a surprise, Oishi had his opponent scouted and countered his submission holds into the Fujiyama Knee Lock for the upset victory. Akiyama praised the Junrestu leader after the match. All of his front teeth are gone but he is still handsome enough to finish 4th in a Best Body Japan competition! Meanwhile Eruption are at risk of finishing outside of the top spot. They now need to beat DAMNATION on the last day for a chance to win the league.

It’s a sad end for The Iyasareru. After a great start, Chris Brookes & Antonio Honda quickly cooled off and lost the rest of their matches. Their schedule ended with a defeat to The 37KAMIINA. They had their opponents trapped in stereo Octopus Stretches but Konosuke Takeshita broke free from Brookes and Dropkicked Honda. Shunma Katsumata then used his leverage to roll over and apply a deep pin to Honda for the three count. The 37KAMIINA know they are in a difficult position to win the league on the final day. All they can do is figure out the right timing to use the MADMAX double team move so they can beat Junretsu.

Naomi Yoshimura beats Yuki Iino to prove he deserves to be in this year’s King Of DDT. Yoshimura said he will work his way to the top of the DNA generation. He also promised to win the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles next week.

Toui Kojima treated Match #4 as an audition to join The 37KAMIINA. He probably failed when a double team move backfired and Kojima hit Yuki Ueno by accident. That mistake gave Yusuke Okada the opening to win the match. Ueno tried to keep his attention on Akito but admits he couldn’t grasp his next challenger’s rhythm at all today. He also had his back taped up which irked Akito a bit. Akito said he was disappointed in Ueno’s performance today and a champion shouldn’t be showing off his bad condition like that. Akito doesn’t think he fought a champion today.

DAMNATION got by with some cheating to beat DISASTER BOX. When Tetsuya Endo had Yukio Naya in position for the Torture Rack Bomb, Kazuki Hirata ran in wanting to break the count. However Soma Takao stopped him in his tracks with a Low Blow, allowing Endo to hit his move on Naya for the finish. Takao added salt to the wounds backstage when he called Hirata a weak challenger for the 6-Man Tag Titles and he should be replaced. Soma thinks Hirata would be so weak of a champion he would make Yuki Ueno’s DDT UNIVERSAL Title run look better by comparison!

Ultimate Tag League 2021 Standings

1. Kazusada Higuchi & Yukio Sakaguchi (4)
2. Daisuke Sasaki & Yuji Hino (3)
3. Chris Brookes & Antonio Honda (2)
-. Jun Akiyama & Makoto Oishi (2)
5. Konosuke Takeshita & Shunma Katsumata (1)

Makoto Oishi makes up for Junretsu’s slow start by winning their first points in the league. Today’s win was special for him because Sendai is where his wife Misaki Oishi was born. Jun Akiyama said Oishi is the key to their team. They win when he is good, they lose when he is bad. Daisuke Sasaki & Yuji Hino’s excuse for losing is they can’t beat the spirit of Mt. Fuji that Oishi drew his power from.

A reversal of fortunes saw Yukio Sakaguchi hurt his knees and tell his own story to pass the time. Things went back to normal when Antonio Honda ended up in the same position to use Gongitsune. His sneak attack accidentally hit Yukinori Matsui instead but at least that allowed The Iyasareru to cheat a little. Kazusada Higuchi and Chris Brookes intervened but the match came down to Sakaguchi and Honda. Sakaguchi countered the Diving Fist Drop by catching Honda into a Triangle Choke. With this submission win, Eruption is now in 1st place.

Local pride was on the line between MAO and Tetsuya Endo. Both are from the Miyagi region and wanted to be the hometown hero for this show, even though both of their actual hometowns are miles away from Sendai. Mad Paulie of all people came up with the idea to make the match No Tag rules. Sadly for him, he got pinned by MAO so MAO got to give the big speech afterwards to the fans.

Naomi Yoshimura and Yuki Iino were at each other’s throats during their tag match. They brawled around ringside even as the match reached its end. Iino charged at Yoshimura again afterwards and the two had to be kept apart.

Keigo Nakamura upgraded his Moonsault to use against standing opponents. He now calls that version the Michinoku Attack.

Yoshimura’s King Of DDT Spot In Doubt, CyberFight Festival Match Dump

May 11, 2021

Based on the instructions of the extended state of emergency and the guidelines presented by all of the venues, the remaining DDT and Ganbare☆Pro shows this month are allowed to go ahead with fans in attendance. A combination of holding shows in areas outside of the emergency zones and at small venues inside said zones seems to be the reason why this is happening. Tokyo Joshi Pro will announce their plans later although they today confirmed their show in Osaka on the 22nd has been pushed back to July. Their only other shows to come this month is one this coming Saturday and the PPV on the 29th. I have my concerns about “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL 2021” going ahead even though they should be free to run the show by the time June rolls around. Cramming in four rosters worth of wrestlers into a day long supershow this close to the current situation sounds like it will cause a lot of trouble if they’re not careful. The news about Japan’s handling of its vaccinations sounds really bad too.

Kumamoto Castle Hall Civic Hall

1. Konosuke Takeshita & Yuki Ueno Vs Shinya Aoki & Yukio Naya
2. Burn, The Land Of Fire! Burn, DDT! Kumamoto Specialty Special 6-Man Tag Match: Jun Akiyama, Makoto Oishi & Yusuke Okada Vs HARASHIMA, Chris Brookes & Keigo Nakamura
3. KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles: Tetsuya Endo, Soma Takao & Yuji Hino (c) Vs Toru Owashi, Naomi Yoshimura & Kazuki Hirata

Here’s the destination for DISASTER BOX Vs DAMNATION. The KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles will be defended for the first time since March.

Shinya Aoki returns to DDT after a successful fight at ONE Championship back in April. An interesting path opens up for him if he and Yukio Naya can beat Konosuke Takeshita & Yuki Ueno. I can see a possible DDT UNIVERSAL Title shot in his future.

9. KO-D Openweight Title: Jun Akiyama (c) Vs HARASHIMA
10. GHC Heavyweight Title: Keiji Muto (c) Vs Naomichi Marufuji

A ton of matches added to the show courtesy of DDT and Tokyo Joshi. There’s still more to come believe it or not. Yuki Arai is wrestling on the show after all and gets another crack against Maki Itoh in a trios match. Another thing to note is the mystery partner in the opening match of the STARTING BATTLE pre-show. Every member of the TJPW roster has been accounted for except for the women from NEO Biishiki-gun. They seem to have other engagements that day so X will have to be somebody from outside of TJPW. It’s also the very first match of the day so let’s keep expectations in check. Aja Kong or Mei Suruga would make sense given how their previous appearances in TJPW went. Maybe there is a new trainee about to debut. Or how about Kendo Kashin? That sounds like something he would do.

NOAH have yet to announce their entries into the Battle Royal. I also think they will provide the fourth STARTING BATTLE match to complete the pre-show.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “SPRING TOUR ’21 ~THE BULLET~”, 17/07/2021
Osaka Azalea Taisho Hall

Tokyo Joshi’s visit to Osaka on 22nd May has been postponed until July. The current state of emergency led to all venues in Osaka only allowing events to go ahead without crowds. TJPW decided it was better off to delay their show in Azalea Taisho Hall to a date when fans will be allowed to attend again.

1. Ultimate Tag League 2021: Daisuke Sasaki & Yuji Hino (3) defeated Chris Brookes & Antonio Honda (2) when Sasaki submitted Honda with the Crossover Facelock (13:54).
2. Ultimate Tag League 2021: Kazusada Higuchi & Yukio Sakaguchi (2) defeated Konosuke Takeshita & Shunma Katsumata (1) when Higuchi pinned Katsumata with the Brain Claw Slam (20:25).

Ultimate Tag League 2021 Standings

1. Daisuke Sasaki & Yuji Hino (3)
2. Kazusada Higuchi & Yukio Sakaguchi (2)
-. Chris Brookes & Antonio Honda (2)
4. Konosuke Takeshita & Shunma Katsumata (1)
5. Jun Akiyama & Makoto Oishi (0)

Eruption gets out of the starting blocks with a win, beating The 37KAMIINA. The big blow came when Kazusada Higuchi Choke Slammed Konosuke Takeshita through a table outside the ring. That left Shunma Katsumata to survive by himself until Takeshita recovered and came to the rescue. Together they hit the MADMAX on Yukio Sakaguchi but he couldn’t be pinned because he wasn’t the legal man. That mistake allowed Higuchi to smash through Takeshita and pin Katsumata with the Brain Claw Slam. Eruption made it clear that they’re going after the top spot of the Ultimate Tag League!

But for now the top spot belongs to DAMNATION after they knocked The Iyasareru down a peg. Antonio Honda tried to distract Daisuke Sasaki & Yuji Hino by telling a Gongitsune joke about the Monster Army, the unit that all three were a part of around 8 years ago. That pause allowed Chris Brookes to get some shots in and Honda went to complete the deal. It didn’t work out though because Sasaki blocked the Diving Fist Drop and rolled Honda into the Crossover Facelock to make him submit.

Ultimate Tag League Opening Day, Ueno Challenges Akito, DDT Vs Kongo

DDT “ULTIMATE TAG LEAGUE 2021 IN KORAKUEN HALL!!”, 09/05/2021
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. Hideki Okatani Vs Toui Kojima
2. 4 Way Tag Match: Sanshiro Takagi & Yukio Naya Vs Danshoku Dieno & Super Sasadango Machine Vs Toru Owashi & Kazuki Hirata Vs Akito & Keigo Nakamura
3. Tetsuya Endo, Soma Takao & Mad Paulie Vs Kazusada Higuchi, Saki Akai & Yuki Iino
4. Yukio Sakaguchi Vs Yusuke Okada
5. Naomi Yoshimura Return Match: HARASHIMA & Naomi Yoshimura Vs Yuki Ueno & MAO
6. Ultimate Tag League 2021: Jun Akiyama & Makoto Oishi Vs Chris Brookes & Antonio Honda
7. Ultimate Tag League 2021: Konosuke Takeshita & Shunma Katsumata Vs Daisuke Sasaki & Yuji Hino

The opening day of Ultimate Tag League 2021 will be held without an audience. The winning team at the end of the tournament receives a 1,000,000 yen prize and will be considered strong contenders for the KO-D Tag Team Titles. Eruption see themselves as the favourites because they are the former champions. Kazusada Higuchi wants to prove they are the strongest while Yukio Sakaguchi wants to get revenge on Smile Pissari and win back the belts. Makoto Oishi thinks Junretsu will win as long as he doesn’t lose any of the matches. Both members of The 37KAMIINA team have gained confidence recently, Konosuke Takeshita from his AEW excursion and Shunma Katsumata from wrestling in death matches. Daisuke Sasaki believes he needs to beat Takeshita in the first match to fully recover from his broken ribs. Sasaki suffered that injury during his D-Ou Grand Prix match with Takeshita last year. Yuji Hino admits he isn’t good competing in leagues so he’ll leave it to Sasaki to steer the team to victory. Antonio Honda is concerned with the state of his knees as the league goes on. Out of all the wrestlers in the league, he has the lowest level of crisis management. It doesn’t help that his first match is against Jun Akiyama’s team. At least Chris Brookes feels spiritual when he is near Honda so they should work well together.

DDT “AUDIENCE 2021 TOUR IN FUKUOKA (NIGHT)”, 29/05/2021
Fukuoka Nishitetsu Hall

1. DDT UNIVERSAL Title: Yuki Ueno (c) Vs Akito

Yuki Ueno is delving into his out of ring career for his next DDT UNIVERSAL Title defence. Akito hired him to manage the Dropkick Bar then left him high and dry when it came to giving any advice. That’s pretty much how DDT has been run for most of its existence. So this title match is personal to him. Shota admits that he can’t compete with Ueno on his current run but that doesn’t mean he cannot beat him. This is a challenge Akito will relish.

Azul Dragon will be on the show.

DDT/NOAH/TOKYO JOSHI PRO/GANBARE☆PRO “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL 2021”, 06/06/2021
Saitama Super Arena

0. STARTING BATTLE ~ Staggered Admission Battle Royal: Yoshiaki Yatsu Vs X
0. STARTING BATTLE MAIN ~ Ganbare☆Pro Wrestling Offer Match: X Vs X
1. DDT Vs NOAH Battle: Yuki Iino, Keigo Nakamura & Toui Kojima Vs Junta Miyawaki, Kinya Okada & Yasutaka Yano
2. Match Provided By NOAH: Atsushi Kotoge, Daisuke Harada & Hajime Ohara Vs Yoshinari Ogawa, HAYATA & Seiki Yoshioka
3. DDT Vs Kongo Full Scale 14-Man Tag Team Match: Sanshiro Takagi, Akito, Kazusada Higuchi, Yukio Sakaguchi, Naomi Yoshimura, Yukio Naya & Hideki Okatani Vs Kenoh, Katsuhiko Nakajima, Masa Kitamiya, Manaby Soya, Haoh, Nioh & Tadasuke
4. DDT Vs NOAH Battle: Konosuke Takeshita & Yuki Ueno Vs Kaito Kiyomiya & Yoshiki Inamura
5. Princess Of Princess Title: Miyu Yamashita (c) Vs Yuka Sakazaki
6. GHC Heavyweight Title: Keiji Muto (c) Vs Naomichi Marufuji
7. KO-D Openweight Title: Jun Akiyama (c) Vs HARASHIMA

Some big additions to the show. The Princess Of Princess Title match went on a major turn and is now Miyu Yamashita against Yuka Sakazaki in a rematch of the 2020 Ittenyon show. Also added is a massive DDT versus Kongo inter-promotional match. Kongo’s leader Kenoh still hates that Sanshiro Takagi is his boss and also a powerful figure in control of NOAH.

All 22 members of the full time Tokyo Joshi Pro roster will be wrestling on the show. That means everybody except for NEO Biishiki-gun and Yuki Arai. However that does not mean the entire rosters for DDT, NOAH and Ganbare☆Pro will be booked. There’s still more matches and spots to be announced but it sounds like there will be a few absences when the line up is complete.

DDT “MAX BUMP 2021” Results

1. 3 Way Match To Bring Back The Smile On Kikutaro’s Face After All He’s Been Through: Kikutaro defeated Danshoku Dieno and Antonio Honda when Kikutaro submitted Dieno with the Jail Hold (7:11).
2. Akito defeated Mad Paulie with a Figure 4 Leg Lock (7:59).
3. KO-D 8-Man Tag Team Titles: Sanshiro Takagi, Yukio Naya, Chikara & Nabe Yakan (c) defeated Keigo Nakamura, Hideki Okatani, Toui Kojima & Yuya Koroku when Takagi pinned Nakamura with the Sit Down Himawari Bomb (9:17).
*V1 for Team Thoroughbred.
4. 3 Way 6-Man Tag Match: Konosuke Takeshita, Shunma Katsumata & MAO defeated Daisuke Sasaki, Tetsuya Endo & Yuji Hino and Kazusada Higuchi, Yukio Sakaguchi & Yuki Iino when Takeshita pinned Iino with the MADMAX (11:26).
5. DDT Extreme Title & Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title: Chris Brookes (E/c) defeated Saki Akai (I/c) with the Praying Mantis Bomb (17:38).
*V2 for Chris Brookes. Chris Brookes becomes the 1,507th Iron Man Heavymetalweight Champion.
6. Jun Akiyama, Makoto Oishi & Yusuke Okada defeated HARASHIMA, Toru Owashi & Kazuki Hirata when Oishi pinned Hirata with the Blue Dahlia (11:42).
7. DDT UNIVERSAL Title: Yuki Ueno (c) defeated Soma Takao with the WR (25:39).
*V5 for Yuki Ueno.

The empty Korakuen Hall doubleheader concluded with DDT’s evening show. For weeks Soma Takao has been a mixed book by provoking Yuki Ueno while acting like he has no real interest in winning the DDT UNIVERSAL Title. Apparently under the motivation to expose Ueno as a weak champion, Takao told the rest of DAMNATION at ringside not to interfere in the match. Ueno took control at first but when Takao was on the offensive, he poured over his opponent’s head to provoke him. Ueno got revenge when they fought outside the ring. He grabbed the can, poured what was left over Takao’s head and then Moonsaulted off of the entrance gate. Back in the ring the Gin And Tonic was blocked. Even an attempt to counter the WR into the move wouldn’t work. Takao then went for the Reverse Gory Special Bomb but Ueno slipped out of the move and landed on his feet. In the end, Ueno hit the WR to earn his fifth successful defence.

After the match Ueno said he did his best because of the fans watching at home. He even had fun wrestling against Takao and thanked him for the drink. Hisaya Imabayashi asked Ueno who he wanted to defend against next. He chose Akito. It was Akito who chose him to be the assistant manager of DDT Foods. However Akito’s promise to support Ueno in that role rang hollow because he never helped out. They’ve been close workmates for years so it’s time for them to get even closer with the UNIVERSAL Title on the line. Akito was grateful to be nominated but doesn’t think he can compete with Ueno’s generation. Ueno was about to withdraw the challenge when Akito interrupted him. Akito said he couldn’t compete with Ueno but that doesn’t mean he cannot beat him! He accepts the challenge and the title match will take place in Hakata on 29th May.

Kazuki Hirata had a big target in his sights. “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL 2021” is coming up and Hirata was going to take out a certain figure important to that show. Did he mean Jun Akiyama? No, he meant Makoto Oishi so he won’t be in Akiyama’s corner for the KO-D Openweight Title match. His threats were ignored so Akiyama and HARASHIMA could start the match. When Hirata did get to fight with Oishi, he immediately tapped out to an Achilles Tendon Hold. Toru Owashi had to distract the referee so the match could continue. Yusuke Okada attacked Hirata’s leg and Akiyama then applied a Sharpshooter for another tap out. Owashi again had to grab the ref’s attention so he wouldn’t see Hirata giving up. The match did end when Oishi pinned Hirata with the Blue Dahlia, a Crucifix Driver style move. Akiyama and HARASHIMA had a stare down afterwards. Backstage Akiyama said he doesn’t want his title match with HARASHIMA to be upstaged by Keiji Muto Vs Naomichi Marufuji.

In the double title match, Chris Brookes came out on top against Saki Akai. Brookes was accompanied to the ring by Masahiro Takanashi while Akai had the rest of Eruption by her side. Akai’s big chance to win was by hitting the Quetzalcoatl. Unfortunately she was low on energy and took too much time to go for the pin, allowing Brookes to kick out. Akai had one more chance by Cradling Brookes out of the Praying Mantis Bomb. Brookes kicked out again, struck her with a knee and hit the Praying Mantis Bomb for the win. The two praised each other after the match and Brookes celebrated holding both the DDT Extreme and Iron Man Heavymetalweight Titles.

Konosuke Takeshita was given a rude welcome back from DAMNATION. Daisuke Sasaki led his team to ambush Eruption & Yuki Iino at first, then turn their focus to The 37KAMIINA. Takeshita and Kazusada Higuchi worked together to get rid of Yuji Hino but Hino wiped them out with a Double Lariat. Tetsuya Endo then hit Higuchi with a Sasuke Special out of the ring. Hino was finally stopped with a Spear from Iino but that left Iino alone against The 37KAMIINA. Takeshita & Shunma Katsumata defeated him with their new double team move the MADMAX. It is a Spike Brainbuster with Takeshita doing the Vertical Drop Brainbuster and Katsumata spiking it down with the Springboard X Factor. After the match Takeshita said he and Katsumata are the dark horses to win the Ultimate Tag League 2021. He also has his tag team with MAO continuing to MAO evolve and a tag team with Ueno ready to take on NOAH.

Speaking of NOAH, there was a surprise appearance by Kenoh after Match #3. He called out Sanshiro Takagi to come down to the ring. When Takagi arrived, Kenoh simply apologised for the recent inconvenience he caused when he caught the Coronavirus. Takagi gave Kenoh the Stunner after he bowed. He said it isn’t like Kenoh to be polite like this. Not when he is writing articles in Shukan Puroresu magazine threatening to not show up at “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL 2021” in June. Takagi is ordering Kenoh and the rest of Kongo to wrestle on the show. Kenoh started blasting insults at Takagi and said NOAH is better than DDT. Marufuji is better, Takashi Sugiura is better and even Muto is the more exciting champion! Suddenly Yukio Sakaguchi entered the ring to confront Kenoh. The two stared each other down while Takagi announced a full scale DDT Vs Kongo match to take place in Saitama Super Arena!

Takagi has just been part of a KO-D 8-Man Tag Team Titles defence with the rest of Team Thoroughbred. They defeated a team of DDT rookies in a match that went all over the place. Nabe Yakan attempted the People’s Elbow on Yuya Koroku but missed. Chikara went for the Sabre Chop but hit Takagi with it instead. Hideki Okatani almost had Takagi beaten in his weakened state. Yukio Naya and Toui Kojima had a back and forth. Takagi brought in the Dramatic Dream bike but Keigo Nakamura knocked him off with a Missile Dropkick. Nakamura then stole the bike and crashed into Takagi with it. Takagi intercepted Nakamura with the Stunner and pinned him with the Sit Down Himawari Bomb.

Akito cut down Mad Paulie to size by targeting his knees. One big Lift put Paulie in his back and when Akito applied the Figure 4 Leg Lock, Paulie gave up.

Poor little Kikutaro wasn’t in the mood for any wrestling. Imabayashi explained to Danshoku Dieno and Antonio Honda what happened to the guy recently. He was detained in Hawaii for two days and isn’t allowed enter America again. It was up to Dieno and Honda to cheer him up. The problem is everything they did reminded Kikutaro of his traumatic experience. Imabayashi tried to make him laugh with impersonations but that led to Dieno attacking him. Kikutaro finally snapped back to normal and fought Dieno off. Honda then made a Gongitsune joke but this time it was about a Cockatiel. This made Kikutaro angry because it reminded him of his pet parakeet back in America. He got rid of Honda and made Dieno submit to the Jail Hold while shouting “Don’t say Hawaii!” for the win.

It was announced that the winners of the Ultimate Tag League will be given a 1,000,000 yen prize from the sponsors BLACKOUT.
