6. GWC 6-Man Tag Team Titles – 20th Champions Decision Match: Ken Ohka, Yumehito Imanari & Miss Mongol defeated Guts Ishijima, Masked Mystery & Shota when Mongol pinned Shota with a Cross Body (13:06).
*GPW become the 20th GWC 6-Man Tag Team Champions!

Miss Mongol thanked Ken Ohka & Yumehito Imanari for giving her the opportunities to wrestle even at her age. Before the show took place Mongol contacted Atsushi Onita for permission to close out the show the same way he used to. Onita gave her his blessing but after she did it, the Real GUTS Army attacked them. Shota said today’s result was a fluke and he demanded some rematches to take place on 10th and 11th August. Guts Ishijima won’t be at the 10th August show because he already has a booking with 666. Shota promised to bring along a replacement.

Minoru Fujita approached Shuichiro Katsumura after the semi-main and asked for a match with him. Fujita originally promised he would never come back to Ganbare☆Wrestling but he really wants to wrestle Katsumura. They agreed to have a match on 10th August but the Independent World Jr. Heavyweight Title will not be on the line.

Naoshi Sano beat Chikara clean then challenged Mitsuo Momota to a match. However Momota had another idea. It is clear that he and his son cannot beat Sano so rather then fight him again, they should all team up instead! That would be a better way for them to study Sano’s strength. Sano and Chikara were both puzzled by the idea but Momota convinced them to try it out.

Ken Ohka had some big news for Kouki Iwasaki. Next month he is going to have a couple of opponents from Big Japan coming in! Iwasaki faces Akira Hyodo on 10th August and Ryuichi Kawakami on the 11th!

Ohka and Shuhei Washida attempted to Bottle Cap Challenge before the show began but they both failed. So they changed the rules into a water drinking contest. Washida beat Ohka.

4. Oji Chief Rivals! Ganpro & PochaJo Allied Forces Vs Real GUTS Army & Yoshimura Pro Wrestling Allied Forces – Scramble Bunkhouse 6-Man Tag Team Street Fight: Ken Ohka, Yumehito Imanari & Miss Mongol defeated Guts Ishijima, Masked Mystery & Shota when Ohka pinned Shota with a Thunder Fire Power Bomb (11:44).
5. Grasp The Best WONDERFUL LIFE! Iwasaki’s Greatest! – Southside Wrestling World Title: Shigehiro Irie (c) defeated Kouki Iwasaki with the Beast Bomber (16:41)
*V6 for Shigehiro Irie.

Shigehiro Irie’s tour of Japan with the Southside Wrestling World Title has lead to a string of defences in a short period of time. The sixth and latest defence was against Kouki Iwasaki at Ganbare☆Wrestling. Irie said that he will be going back to Europe with the title but he hopes to wrestle Iwasaki again. However Ken Ohka entered the ring and demanded a shot at the title on 17th July. Irie said he won’t be in Japan that day. Ohka then asked for a match in August. Irie couldn’t commit so Ohka then told Irie to challenge him the next time he comes back to Japan. Irie then suddenly knocked out Ohka with the Beast Bomber.

The combined powers of the GPW alliance succeeded in beating Real GUTS Army in a violent clash. Yumehito Imanari came out wearing a leather jacket similar to Jon Moxley’s “MOX” jacket but with “SEX” on the back instead. Ohka was busted open but with the help of Imanari & Miss Mongol, was able to pin Shota with the Thunder Fire Power Bomb. After the match Ohka demanded Guts Ishijima to bring back the retired GWC 6-Man Tag Team Titles that used to be defended in Guts World until its closure. Ohka explained that life is a fight with guts. If GUTS do not want to be in a title match then they have no guts! Ishijima accepted the demand and will bring back the titles on 17th July.

Hiroshi Yamato challenged Shuichiro Katsumura for the Independent World Jr. Heavyweight Title. Yamato said he has now wrestled in over 50 different wrestling promotions and if he becomes the Independent Jr. Champion he can then raise the belt’s prestige and also the wrestling scene at large by defending it in various different promotions.

Champ Phoenix made the mistake of taking Choun-Shiryu lightly, treating him as an easy opponent and leaving his guard open so Shiryu could pin him with La Magistral Cradle. Shiryu told Phoenix that he’s been living in Japan for 15 years so he should have been treated with respect.

The rookie Shuhei Washida is showing more aggression in his matches. He refused to shake Mitomi Masayuki’s hand before their match and even had to be held back by the referee at one point. However Masayuki took over and used a modified Camel Clutch called the Baby Clutch to make Washida submit.

Masayuki announced before the show that he is forming his own promotion called P.P.P. Tokyo. He said he learned to work hard in Ganpro and will use that spirit to make this new project succeed. P.P.P. will have a business relationship with Ganpro. The first sign of this is Ganpro hosting a match at the debut P.P.P. show in Shinjuku FACE on 30th September.

5. Inevitability Or Fate’s Mischief? Team Drift And DNA Clash In Ganpro!: Keisuke Ishii & Kouki Iwasaki defeated Shigehiro Irie & Mizuki Watase when Ishii pinned Watase with the Flying Kneel Kick (18:14).

Keisuke Ishii noticed that the main event ended after 18 minutes and 14 seconds, the same exact amount of time as his match with Tetsuya Endo for the KO-D Openweight Title a few weeks ago. He also said it was so much fun and exciting to wrestle Shigehiro Irie again. He now wants to wrestle him one on one.

The new war between Ganbare☆Wrestling and Real GUTS Army went ahead today. Guts Ishijima & Shota won the first battle over Ken Ohka & Shuichiro Katsumura in the middle of the show but they made their presence felt again later. When the show ended, Ohka’s speech in front of the fans was cut short by an attack by GUTS. Ishijima was about to give Ohka the Facebuster when Yumehito Imanari & Miss Mongol came to the rescue. With the enemy sent fleeing, Imanari called for an alliance between Ganpro and Pocchari Joshi. Together they can be called GPW! The three challenged Guts-gun to a trios match on 16th June. Ishijima accepted with Shota and Masked Mystery as his partners. Ishijima also said that Yoshimura Pro Wrestling is on his side in this war.

Imanari’s Pocchari Joshi project will show up again at Shin-Kiba 1st RING on 20th August.

6. Road To WRESTLE MATUSYAMANIA! Special Tag Match: Tetsuya Endo & Mad Paulie Vs Yukio Sakaguchi & Mizuki Watase
7. King Of DDT 2019 – Final: X Vs X

Four are left in the King Of DDT and there is plenty of history to be found in the semi-final match-ups. Kazusada Higuchi has always treated Konosuke Takeshita as a strong opponent and this time won’t be any different. Takeshita is aware that the occasion may trigger something in Higuchi to change him into something even stronger so his plan is not to trigger it. HARASHIMA and Soma Takao were allies in Smile Squash until Takao betrayed HARASHIMA to join DAMNATION. Takao wants nothing more than to win this tournament and fight for the KO-D Openweight Title in Ota Ward Gymnasium because he was born and raised in Ota.

Even though Kazuki Hirata & Maku Donaruto will be getting a KO-D Tag Team Titles match next month, Hirata is unsure if the combined power of himself and Donaruto can work. He asked for a Handicap Match against Daisuke Sasaki to test the team out and determine if they are good enough to become champions.

3. Inevitability Or Fate’s Mischief? Team Drift And DNA Clash In Ganpro!: Keisuke Ishii & Kouki Iwasaki Vs Shigehiro Irie & Mizuki Watase

Guts Ishijima has created a Guts World revival in a bid to unite the independent scene under his influence. Ken Ohka doesn’t trust Ishijima’s ability to do that given his reputation of quitting and failing many of his previous projects.

Moeka Haruhi, HARUKAZE and Shuhei Washida will be on the show.

DDT “WRESTLE MATSUYAMANIA 2019”, 02/06/2019
Ehime World Trade Center

1. There ☆ Is A Dream! Ryutaro Watanabe (DDT Matsuyamania Affiliation) Big Match!: Hideki Suzuki Vs Ryutaro Watanabe
2. KO-D Tag Team Titles: Daisuke Sasaki & Soma Takao (c) Vs Kazuki Hirata & Maku Donaruto
3. KO-D Openweight Title: Tetsuya Endo (c) Vs Yukio Sakaguchi

Tetsuya Endo ambushed Yukio Sakaguchi at the contract signing to send a message to his challenger. Nobuhiro Shimatani provoked Sakaguchi to distract him while Endo grabbed a chair for the attack. Endo also gave Sakaguchi a Low Blow before signing the contract. To add extra insult to injury, Shimatani said he would sign the contract on Sakaguchi’s behalf. He signed the words “I’m Sorry” into the column meant for Sakaguchi.

The failed DDT trainee is back for another match. Ryutaro Watanabe trained with DDT back in 2012 but injuries prevented him from ever debuting. It wasn’t until DDT came to his hometown in Matsuyama last year when he finally got his debut match. With DDT coming back to the region they want him to wrestle against Hideki Suzuki. They wanted Watanabe to face the toughest opponent available and Suzuki fits that description to a tee. The two have been in the ring together before as part of a recent Hard Hit tag match that happened in March. The time they wrestled each other was short but it was enough for Watanabe to realise how large the wall is he has to climb.

5. Dangan Senshi, Attack On Ganpro!: Masato Tanaka defeated Yumehito Imanari with the Sliding D (15:38).

Masato Tanaka thanked Yumehito Imanari for inviting him to wrestle in Ganbare☆Wrestling today. He brought up memories of Imanari training in one of the ZERO1 dojos long ago. Imanari explained to the fans that although he was never registered to ZERO1 he did get permission from them to train in their dojo. The two agreed to having another match sometime and Imanari says he is now a student of the DANGAN GYM.

Normally Shota is a Ganpro wrestler but today he represented GUTS along with Guts Ishijima & Masked Mystery. They were victorious over the Ganpro side but Ken Ohka felt something was off about Ishijima’s intentions. Ohka is trying to make pro wrestling a major sport and he wants to unify the indies to do it. But Guts World has closed down and it’s replacement Pro Wrestling GOING-UP didn’t last either. Now that Guts Ishijima is in Ganbare☆Wrestling will he quit here too? Just what is it about Ishijima and wrestling promotions that involve the letter G? Ishijima said he loves indie wrestling and he will be the one to unify it. He promised to come back to Ganpro next month to continue the rebirth of GUTS.

Chikara stood in his Mitsuo Momota’s corner so he could his father face Naoshi Sano one on one. But during the match Sano went out of the ring and dared Chikara to hit him. When Chikara wouldn’t, Sano knocked him down. He then made Momota hit the referee by accident with a Lariat. When that happened Sano brought in a chair but Chikara cut him off with the Saber Chop, allowing Momota to pin him when the ref recovered.

Keisuke Ishii & Kouki Iwasaki Vs Shigehiro Irie & Mizuki Watase will take place on 2nd June.

5e. Ryuichi Sekine (3) defeated Ryota Nakatsu (2) with the Let’s Combine (40:00).

To celebrate 10 years in pro wrestling Ryuichi Sekine took on his Cavalry buddy Ryota Nakatsu in a 60 minute Ironman match. Sekine came out on top thanks to the Let’s Combine crab hold. The submission hold was used to make Nakatsu submit three times throughout the match. Nakatsu was only able to beat Sekine twice, once by countout after beating him up too much outside the ring. Both wrestlers were exhausted by the end and collapsed when the time expired. Sekine told Nakatsu he had nothing left after that. Nakatsu asked Sekine if he was still alive then congratulated him on his anniversary. Sekine pointed out that it wasn’t just his 10th anniversary. Today is also the 2nd anniversary of BASARA’s debut show! It irks him that BASARA is seen as Isami Kodaka’s promotion. Sekine just main evented the 2nd anniversary show in an hour long match. It should be him standing at the head of BASARA!

Since Takumi Tsukamoto is teaming with Yasu Urano for this year’s IRON FIST TAG TOURNAMENT, Isami Kodaka had to find another partner in order to enter the competition. After beating Takato Nakano, Kodaka decided that Nakano is just the guy he is looking for. But before he could confirm it, Yoshihisa Uto from Big Japan entered the ring. Uto teamed with Kodaka at the New Year’s Eve tag tournament, an experience Kodaka would like to forget. Kodaka & Uto will be entering the tournament. Nakano felt left out and asked what would happen to him. Kodaka told him that he will be teaming with Akiyori Takizawa in the tournament.

Last November Guts Ishijima went to pro wrestling court accused of breaking the Labour Standards Act. Today he was back in court accused of perjury in regards to comments he made from the previous case. Ishijima previously said that he was doing what he could to keep GUTS World alive. Hercules Senga claims this is false and Ishijima had talked to him about folding the company months before it happened. Senga also accused a bunch of GUTS World wrestlers of assaulting him and others when they all got drunk one time. Ishijima denied having memory of either situation and demanded proof. SAGAT was called in and he said he suffered a head injury during the brawl. Gouma Ryu objected and said SAGAT got that injury from a wrestling match he took part in that same day. Takumi Tsukamoto came out claiming the same injury. Senga then accused Ishijima of kissing women when he was drunk but Ishijima denied taking part in any kind of masochistic behaviour. Ryu openly regretted representing the same client twice and started a fight with Senga to progress the segment. Ishijima gave both of them a Double Lariat and pinned them. He was declared innocent as a result. Again.

6. Union MAX Title: Isami Kodaka (c) defeated Ryuichi Sekine with the Isamuashi Ki (18:56).
*V1 for Isami Kodaka.

Ryuichi Sekine prepared himself for a today to be special. He was in proper wrestling gear, had his hair freshly dyed blonde and had his sights set on winning the Union MAX Title. Sadly for him Isami Kodaka had other ideas. The one move Sekine had that could definitely beat Kodaka was the Let’s Combine Crab Hold but Kodaka was able to either reach the ropes or avoid the move entirely. Sekine tried to combat Kodaka’s Isamuashi kicks with his own Middle Kicks but the champion would not be beaten. Both wrestlers were spent after the match but agreed that they had a fun match together. Kodaka announced his next title defence will take place in March next year. He was then interrupted by a voice asking “Can I be a bit greedy?” The voice was Fuminori Abe and he entered the ring. He said during his time here in BASARA he had wanted to test himself and find out how pure a wrestler he can be. He now wants a singles match with Kodaka to discover how far he has progressed although he was hesitant to ask until now. Kodaka asked Abe if he is certain he could beat him. Abe said he is. Kodaka accepted Abe’s challenge and decided he will put the MAX Title on the line against him on 14th December. Abe then pulled out an envelope. It was an invitation letter for the upcoming Shinjuku Strongest Ground Budokai tournament. He confessed that he stole it from Kodaka’s luggage while Kodaka went out for a smoke earlier. Abe wanted three things: a singles match with Kodaka, a Union MAX Title match and a place in the Budokai tournament. Kodaka promised to fulfill all three requests for Abe.

The 6-Man Tag was a battle between BASARA and HEAT-UP. It broke down to where Daichi Kazato and Kazuhiro Tamura were the ones left in the ring. Kazato had Tamura beaten with the Sister Abigail when Fuminori Abe broke up the pin and trapped Kazato in an Octopus Hold. Kazato submitted, making the HEAT-UP team the winners. Both Takumi Tsukamoto and Kazato were frustrated by the loss and both said the HEAT-UP wrestlers have no guts. Tsukamoto is also annoyed that HEAT-UP might be selling more posters than BASARA at shows.

Early on in the Ryota Nakatsu Vs Minoru Tanaka match, Tanaka threatened to break Nakatsu’s hobby horse. Other than that the two had a serious match. Tanaka escaped from Nakatsu’s Cross Armbreaker and countered with a Jumping High Kick. Nakatsu still showed life after taking a Tiger Suplex and some Buzzsaw Kicks but was down and out after Tanaka gave him the B“D”F Diving Foot Stomp.

Trans-Am ★ Ryuichi seems to be turning over a new leaf since he lost the Union MAX Title. He hugged the referee Yuya Okada at the start of his match because it was so long since he last saw him. He also wished FUMA a “Merry Christmas” after Body Slamming him. Even though he and SAGAT lost the match to IRON PRIEST, he was still happy to see FUMA & Yusuke Kubo again too. He said the Trans-Am ★ Family and IRON PRIEST have been fighting each other all year so it was time for them to let bygones be bygones and shake hands. SAGAT pulled his hand back and shouted “Woooooo!” thinking Ryuichi would do the same but he was on his own. Ryuichi punched SAGAT for misbehaving and they then did the Heavy Metal hand signs with IRON PRIEST.

The reputation of Guts Ishijima and his Guts World promotion were put up to questioning by Gouma Ryu and Atsushi Maruyama and their court of law. Maruyama accused Ishijima of defying the Labour Standards Act by forcing his workers to have a pro wrestling mentality. Maruyama’s evidence was Daisuke retiring and Toshihiko Yoshino leaving the promotion. Ryu’s defence of Guts World was “It’s a nice group.” He asked Takumi Tsukamoto what he thought of the company because he wrestled there before. Tsukamoto said he wanted to quit. Yasu Urano gave a similar answer when he was asked the question. Ishijima described his post-show antics as “Showa Style” and it involved eating and drinking until they threw up. Fuminori Abe was asked about those drinking parties and he said he couldn’t remember much outside of losing his wallet. Ishijima invited both Ryu and Maruyama to wrestle at a Guts World show. They all shook hands until Ryu and Maruyama attacked Ishijima. He fought them off with a Double Lariat and then pinned Maruyama with the Facebuster. Judge Kyohei Wada declared Ishijima was innocent.

Akiyori Takizawa came here from ASUKA PROJECT for a rematch against Takato Nakano. Their previous match took place earler this month and just like then, Takizawa won the match. This time Takizawa used a Reverse Double Chickenwing submission called the Sleng Teng to make Nakano give up.
