1. Naoki Tanizaki & Akiyori Takizawa defeated Takumi Tsukamoto & Masato Kamino when Tanizaki submitted Kamino with a Ground Arm Wrapped Manjigatame (10:28).
2. Isami Kodaka, Daiki Shimomura & Takato Nakano defeated SAGAT, Best Stretchman V3 & Yasu Urano when Kodaka pinned SAGAT with a Crucifix Pin (12:20).
3. Fuminori Abe defeated Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi with a Cross Heel Hold (12:28).
4. Sakigake!! Iron Family Vs Aikata Tag: Ikuto Hidaka & Minoru Fujita defeated FUMA & Yusuke Kubo when Hidaka pinned Kubo with a Sorarina (15:20).
5. Union MAX Title: Ryuichi Sekine defeated Ryota Nakatsu (c) with the Let’s Combine (28:15).
*Ryota Nakatsu fails in V6. Ryuichi Sekine becomes the 12th Union MAX Champion!

The two men that made up Cavalry fought each other today for the Union MAX Title and in a big result it was Ryuichi Sekine who came out on top! The match almost reached the half hour point when Sekine put all of his weight down on the Let’s Combine to make Ryota Nakatsu give up. Nakatsu admitted that Sekine was too strong for him and this was a complete victory for the new champion. Sekine thanked the fans for spending the last day of Golden Week at the BASARA show.

Minoru Fujita complained to Ikuto Hidaka before their match because Hidaka hasn’t grown a tail yet. He didn’t want to team with a tailless person.

There were plenty of new championships on show during the day. Fuminori Abe arrived with the UWA World Middleweight Title he won at K-DOJO last Thursday. Isami Kodaka brought the BJW Death Match Title he only just won in Big Japan yesterday.

Abe wanted to wrestle barefoot with Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi to make it an even fight. He started screaming when Hiroshi sang during the match. Hiroshi tried to take advantage but his Scorpion Deathlock was countered into an Achilles Tendon Hold and then turned into a Cross Heel Hold to make Hiroshi tap out.

2. GOLDEN GANBARE 2019: Miyako Matsumoto & Makoto defeated Moeka Haruhi & HARUKAZE when Matsumoto pinned HARUKAZE with the Miyako Clutch (8:12).
3. Momota Parent And Child Vs Naoshi Sano Round 2: Mitsuo Momota defeated Naoshi Sano with the Saber Chop from Chikara (8:21).
4. Shota The Brutal Wind That Blows: Shota, Guts Ishijima & Masked Mystery defeated Ken Ohka, Shuichiro Katsumura & Shuhei Washida when Ishijima submitted Washida with the WAR Special (17:07).
5. Dangan Senshi, Attack On Ganpro!: Masato Tanaka defeated Yumehito Imanari with the Sliding D (15:38).

Masato Tanaka thanked Yumehito Imanari for inviting him to wrestle in Ganbare☆Wrestling today. He brought up memories of Imanari training in one of the ZERO1 dojos long ago. Imanari explained to the fans that although he was never registered to ZERO1 he did get permission from them to train in their dojo. The two agreed to having another match sometime and Imanari says he is now a student of the DANGAN GYM.

Normally Shota is a Ganpro wrestler but today he represented GUTS along with Guts Ishijima & Masked Mystery. They were victorious over the Ganpro side but Ken Ohka felt something was off about Ishijima’s intentions. Ohka is trying to make pro wrestling a major sport and he wants to unify the indies to do it. But Guts World has closed down and it’s replacement Pro Wrestling GOING-UP didn’t last either. Now that Guts Ishijima is in Ganbare☆Wrestling will he quit here too? Just what is it about Ishijima and wrestling promotions that involve the letter G? Ishijima said he loves indie wrestling and he will be the one to unify it. He promised to come back to Ganpro next month to continue the rebirth of GUTS.

Chikara stood in his Mitsuo Momota’s corner so he could his father face Naoshi Sano one on one. But during the match Sano went out of the ring and dared Chikara to hit him. When Chikara wouldn’t, Sano knocked him down. He then made Momota hit the referee by accident with a Lariat. When that happened Sano brought in a chair but Chikara cut him off with the Saber Chop, allowing Momota to pin him when the ref recovered.

Keisuke Ishii & Kouki Iwasaki Vs Shigehiro Irie & Mizuki Watase will take place on 2nd June.

7. Thunder Rosa, Allysin Kay & Yuki Kamifuku defeated Shoko Nakajima, Miyu Yamashita & Miu Watanabe when Rosa pinned Watanabe with the Reinella Splash (11:08).

Thunder Rosa countered Miu Watanabe’s Canadian Backbreaker into the Reinella Splash to win the main event. After the match Rosa faced off with Shoko Nakajima while Allysin Kay and Miyu Yamashita stared each other down. Nakajima motivated Yamashita and said both of them will defend their titles tomorrow and together become Mega Double Champs!

Misao is getting annoyed that “weeds” are spreading to places where the winds are gentle. She does not want to even see weak people let alone be associated with them. Sakisama agreed and talked to Tetsuya Koda about adding the TOKYO Princess Tag Team Titles and also the “pure white child” Mizuki to her collection. Koda said he would book a tag title match for Osaka on 12th May but Sakisama said she will be busy in Paris that day. Instead she wants the title match to happen during the Tokyo Princess Cup. In return she will agree not to enter the tournament this year. Koda did not make an immediate decision.

Mina Shirakawa gave Maki Itoh the middle finger after their match. Itoh grabbed the finger and twisted it. She then stuck up her own middle finger to Shirakawa.

Pandemic Boo-Boo used a Double Argentine Facebuster on Marika Kobashi to set up their winning pinfall.

Don’t know if it was just a bit of rookie hazing but Yuna Manase stomped on Mahiro Kiryu after their match.

It was revealed the 2019 Tokyo Princess Cup will begin on 25th May and the final will be held on 7th July.

1. Nodoka Tenma defeated Mahiro Kiryu with the WAR Special (8:15).
2. Thunder Rosa defeated Mina Shirakawa with the Thunder Driver (6:46).
3. Yuna Manase & Yuki Kamifuku defeated Yuki Aino & Miu Watanabe when Manase pinned Aino with the Suzuki Dynamic (9:24).

Not much to talk about the matches themselves but the contract signings that took place before them gave the girls plenty of chances to give some final words before tomorrow’s big show in Korakuen Hall.

After getting knocked out a few days ago, Shoko Nakajima has learned not to take Miyu Yamashita even the slightest bit lightly. In return Yamashita has realised the chances of beating Nakajima the same way twice in a row is unlikely.

Pandemic Boo-Boo have promised to show their gratitude towards the TOKYO Princess Tag Team Titles for as long as people support them. The Magical Sugar Rabbits are as ambitious as ever and feel invincible when they team together.

Rika Tatsumi has a lot to handle mentally tomorrow. Not only is she fighting to turn Misao back into Hyper Misao but she has fought Sakisama and NEO Biishiki-gun plenty of times before. Miu Watanabe thinks it is more beautiful to team with a person like Tatsumi instead of Sakisama. Misao made the signing even tenser when she poured water over Watanabe’s head. Sakisama joked that she ordered Misao to water the weeds.

Aja Kong wasn’t in attendance so Maki Itoh took the opportunity to have the spotlight all to herself. She said she will crush Kong because she doesn’t see Kong as a legend, just another wrestler. There is talk going around that Itoh’s head is tougher than Kong’s steel can.

Ehime World Trade Center

1. KO-D Tag Team Titles: Daisuke Sasaki & Soma Takao (c) Vs Kazuki Hirata & Maku Donaruto
2. KO-D Openweight Title: Tetsuya Endo (c) Vs Yukio Sakaguchi

During a press conference yesterday Endo was supposed to select one of the seven losers in the King Of DDT 1st Round to defend the KO-D Title against. However he struggled to remember any of the wrestlers he could choose from. Hisaya Imabayashi listed the names and Endo commented after each one. Kota Umeda? He’s the guy who always hurts his knees. MAO? He’s a fucked up bad guy. Mike Bailey? He’s that guy who can’t do anything without MAO. HARASHIMA? Endo hates him. Kazuki Hirata? Endo would choose him but Hirata is already wrestling for a championship at the show. Yuki Ueno? He was thrown away by his friend. Yukio Sakaguchi? Beaten by Daisuke Sasaki and he won’t stop crying about it.

What Endo didn’t realise was that Sakaguchi was in the building and overheard Endo’s comments. He crashed the press conference and attacked Endo, beating him down! Sakaguchi used Endo’s “Two types of people in the world” motto against him and said he is now on his kill list! When Sakaguchi stormed out of the room, Endo demanded that he be his opponent for the KO-D Title match! This won’t be a pro wrestling match, Endo says he will kill Sakaguchi!

3. King Of DDT 2019 – Round 1: Kazusada Higuchi defeated Kota Umeda with the Doctor Bomb (13:03).
4. King Of DDT 2019 – Round 1: Soma Takao defeated Mike Bailey with the Reverse Gory Special Bomb (10:08).
5. King Of DDT 2019 – Round 1: Naomi Yoshimura defeated Kazuki Hirata with the Shonenba (9:42).
6. King Of DDT 2019 – Round 1: Daisuke Sasaki defeated Yukio Sakaguchi with a Rope Assisted Pin (11:37).
7. King Of DDT 2019 – Round 1: Masahiro Takanashi defeated MAO with a Backslide Pin (2:15).
8. King Of DDT 2019 – Round 1: Akito defeated HARASHIMA with a Cradle (14:26).
9. King Of DDT 2019 – Round 1: Konosuke Takeshita defeated Yuki Ueno with a Zahi (20:45).

The King Of DDT 2019 first round saw seven wrestlers advance to Round 2. However hope is not all lost for those who were defeated today. The winners all met in the ring at the end of the show to face each other. However Masahiro Takanashi went missing and was instead represented by Baliyan Akki wearing the same clothes. Daisuke Sasaki carried a long bamboo stick with him while Naomi Yoshimura put his full attention on Konosuke Takeshita. When that was happening Tetsuya Endo came out wearing a full suit and using Nobuhiro Shimatani as a stepping stool to get in and out of the ring. Endo announced he will soon choose one of the seven “little fish” that lost today to defend the KO-D Openweight Title against on 2nd June.

The King Of DDT Round 2 matches are Kazusada Higuchi Vs Masahiro Takanashi, Soma Takao Vs Akito, Naomi Yoshimura Vs Konosuke Takeshita and Daisuke Sasaki Vs the winner of the Losers Battle Royal.

Friendships don’t matter in this tournament. Takeshita proved this after his match with Yuki Ueno. He looked like he was lifting Ueno back to his feet but instead Takeshita threw him out of the ring! Ueno got back into the ring and Takeshita offered a handshake but it was kicked away. Takeshita explained backstage that he was sending a message that he is still No. 1 in DDT. This is how strong his desire is to win. He is always driven but now he should be showing he is something to be feared.

HARASHIMA is entering a bit of a slump. He lost the DDT Extreme Title yesterday and today got eliminated in the 1st Round by Akito. Although Akito is happy with the win he is not convinced that he has surpassed HARASHIMA because he only pinned him with a cradle.

Masahiro Takanashi had to be at his trickiest to beat MAO. He grabbed a chair to distract Yukinori Matsui while Baliyan Akki entered the ring to attack MAO while disguised as Takanashi. MAO later did the Spaceman Plancha but Akki took the blow instead of Takanashi. Then Shota stepped up to the ring disguised as a fan to blow a party popper in MAO’s face. Takanashi used the distraction to pin MAO with a Backslide and advance to Round 2.

More cheating happened down the card as Daisuke Sasaki low blowed Yukio Sakaguchi en route to winning his match with his feet on the ropes.

Last year Kazuki Hirata began his miracle run in the tournament by beating Naomi Yoshimura. Sadly, this year is not going to be the same. This time around Yoshimura beat Hirata to avenge what happened a year ago. A lot has changed since that match. Hirata and Yoshimura are now on the same side in DISASTER BOX for example. They agreed to let bygones be bygones for the sake of their unit.

The Reverse Gory Special Bomb has immediately become a killer move for Soma Takao. In two days he has pinned both members of The Moonlight Express with it. He has learned the move in order to win the KO-D Title from Tetsuya Endo at “WRESTLE PETER PAN 2019” in July. Today’s result was so easy for Takao he is acting like he didn’t even wrestle and he is advancing to Round 2 on a bye!

Memories of DNA were floating through the heads of Kazusada Higuchi and Kota Umeda as they fought each other. But just like back then Higuchi was the one with his arm raised at the end. He faced off with Akki at the end of the show thinking it was Takanashi. All he noticed was the guy he confronted looked more serious than drunk today.

Wait I thought yesterday was Keisuke Okuda’s farewell match. Oh well, here’s another one.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “HEISEI 31 YEARS “AH” IT’S BUSY!”, 29/04/2019
Tokyo Itabashi Green Hall
260 Fans – Super No Vacancy Full House

1. Yuki Kamifuku & Mahiro Kiryu defeated Haruna Neko & Pom Harajuku when Kamifuku pinned Harajuku with the Fame Asser (7:39).
2. Mina Shirakawa defeated Raku with the Implant DDT (7:25).
3. Natsumi Maki & Hikari Noa defeated Yuna Manase & Himawari Unagi when Noa pinned Unagi with the Uranage (11:38).
4. Yuka Sakazaki & Mizuki defeated Yuki Aino & Thunder Rosa when Mizuki pinned Aino with the Cutie Special (15:05).
5. Sakisama & Misao defeated Nodoka Tenma & YUMI when Sakisama submitted YUMI with the YSL (11:11).
6. Miyu Yamashita, Reika Saiki & Marika Kobashi defeated Shoko Nakajima, Rika Tatsumi & Miu Watanabe by TKO when Yamashita knocked out Nakajima with the Backspin Kick (14:05).

Four days before the big TOKYO Princess Of Princess Title match and the champion has knocked out the challenger! Miyu Yamashita avoided Shoko Nakajima’s Northern Lights Suplex late in the main event. From there she wore down her opponent with a Sleeper Hold and dealt kicks and knee strikes until a Backspin Kick knocked knocked Nakajima’s lights out. Yamashita didn’t have much to say after the match other than to thank everyone for coming to the last Tokyo Joshi Pro show of the Heisei era. She warned in her post-match interview that the Princess Title cannot be won with only feelings. She also proved that she doesn’t need to pin Nakajima to beat her. Knocking her out works just as well.

Sakisama is now using a Straightjacket Choke called the YSL. That has to be a shoutout to Yukio Saint Laurent.

The debuting Thunder Rosa had a fun experience for her first Tokyo Joshi match. She got into a small dance battle with Mizuki and got greeted by the others in English at the start. Rosa is used to wrestling in tag matches but even she admits The Magical Sugar Rabbits are fast in the ring.

Nine months after her debut wrestling match, Mina Shirakawa now has her first singles victory. This is the next step in her big dream to wrestle abroad more often.

1. SHINE Title: Miyu Yamashita (c) Vs Allysin Kay

When Miyu Yamashita won the SHINE Title in New York earlier this month, she invited the former champion Allysin Kay to come to Japan for a championship rematch. Yamashita won the title by referee stoppage when she put Kay in a Modified Cobra Clutch. Kay thinks she was robbed of the title because she never gave up. So she is taking up Yamashita’s offer to have the rematch in Japan. She promises that this time there won’t be any funny business over the result.
