*V3 for Young Communication Generation.
5. Toru Owashi & Yukio Naya defeated Soma Takao & Mad Paulie when Naya pinned Paulie with the Back Drop (8:29).
6. DAMNATION Vs DDT Sauna Club!: Tetsuya Endo & Daisuke Sasaki defeated Yuki Ueno & Shunma Katsumata when Endo submitted Katsumata with the Modified Yurikamome (12:39).
7. Special 8-Man Tag Match: CIMA, T-Hawk, El Lindaman & Shigehiro Irie defeated Jun Akiyama, Makoto Oishi, Hideki Okatani & Yusuke Okada when T-Hawk pinned Okatani after the AKACHOCHIN (15:49).
8. KO-D Tag Team Titles: Kazusada Higuchi & Yukio Sakaguchi (c) defeated Konosuke Takeshita & MAO when Higuchi pinned Takeshita with the Brain Claw Slam (22:12).
*V2 for Eruption.

The DDT Sauna Club’s momentum has been cooled down like a cold shower after today’s show. Eruption threw their best shot at Konosuke Takeshita & MAO after a frustrating trend of bad results against them and this time stood victorious. The KO-D Tag Team Champions almost blew it when Kazusada Higuchi accidentally hit Yukio Sakaguchi with a Lariat. But they recovered when Higuchi caught MAO from a Moonsault and threw him into the God’s Right Knee from Sakaguchi. Takeshita tried to fight off Higuchi until he too got hit with the God’s Right Knee. Higuchi then went for his big moves until he got the three count with the Brain Claw Slam.

Eruption celebrated their title defence and encouraged Higuchi for his KO-D Openweight Title shot next month. Sakaguchi then called out for their next challengers to appear. HARASHIMA entered the ring and told Eruption that he and Yuji Okabayashi were always meant to be next in line for a title shot. Are Eruption ready for Smile Pissari? Sakaguchi called it an interesting match and Higuchi said he will do it anytime. Hisaya Imabayashi assured both teams the match will happen but he needs to talk with Big Japan first to decide when Okabayashi can come back to DDT. After he left, Saki Akai made sure that her partners weren’t injured. She then said Eruption will do their best to main event the next time DDT holds a big event in Nagoya.

The return of #STRONGHEARTS to DDT saw them clash with Junretsu and CIMA couldn’t resist trolling Jun Akiyama and Yusuke Okada over their previous home promotion. A few days ago CIMA won the AJPW World Jr. Heavyweight Title and he flaunted it in front of Akiyama & Okada. In return Akiyama showed off the KO-D Title to CIMA. In the match itself, Shigehiro Irie stepped up to Akiyama while El Lindaman wiped out Okada & Makoto Oishi with a Topé Con Hilo. Hideki Okatani was left isolated and picked apart until T-Hawk pinned him. Akiyama showed respect to CIMA after the match by handing him his title and shaking his hand. CIMA then taunted Okada with the belt. In his backstage comment afterwards, Akiyama said he is well aware that he hasn’t won a match since becoming the KO-D Champion.

The Sauna Club’s other defeat on the show was against DAMNATION. When Daisuke Sasaki and Yuki Ueno faced off, Sasaki was able to avoid the WR. Tetsuya Endo eventually made Shunma Katsumata submit but he isn’t interested in chasing after the DDT Extreme Title. Instead he wants the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles. Still, he thinks champions shouldn’t lose so it’s a bad look for Katsumata.

DAMNATION were trying to get all over their opponents in Match #5. Nobuhiro Shimatani kept getting involved by distracting Yukio Naya and aiding Mad Paulie. Then Soma Takao threw a chairshot but Naya ducked and Paulie got hit instead. Toru Owashi used his Lucha skill to throw Shimatani & Hiroshi Yamato out of the ring. When things went back to normal, Naya beat Paulie in the heavyweight battle and got the win for his team.

Young defeated old in the KO-D 6-Man Tag Titles match. The DDT Legend Army saw their chances go up in smoke when HARASHIMA went for the Somato but Akito pulled Danshoku Dieno in the way and made him take the Somato right in the butt. Kazuki Hirata got rid of HARASHIMA while Shota did a Frog Splash on Dieno and then did a dive into Sanshiro Takagi. Akito finished Dieno off by putting him in an Anaconda Vice with a Lip Lock also applied to get the submission win.

After the match, Akito said the Young Communication Generation may not be able to rewrite the history of DDT that their opponents today built but instead they made a new folder for them to create new memories and records in. DAMNATION entered the ring declaring themselves the next challengers. It will be Endo, Takao & Yuji Hino will get a title shot on 14th March.

Hino doesn’t have to worry about Yuki Iino for the time being. He beat him fair and square with the Fucking BOMB and as seen above has already moved on from this feud. Iino however swears that one day he will beat Hino and he will do it with the Spear!

Match #2 was briefly turned into a Handicap match when Antonio Honda’s fake knee injury was so convincing he had to be taken out of the ring on a stretcher. Akai had to fight the NEO Itoh Respect Army on her own but her scream for help was answered by Honda coming to the rescue. He then tripped and hurt his knee again. Maki Itoh created her own Gongitsune to flirt with Honda’s version of it until Akai broke them up. In the end Chris Brookes caught Honda in the Octopus Stretch, making him give up.

In the opener, Shimatani thought Toui Kojima’s name was Oshima. He and Yamato took out Keigo Nakamura with the Double Sliding X, leading to Yamato winning with his finisher.

6. DDT Extreme Title – Kids Room Death Match 37 (Sauna) Count Edition: Shunma Katsumata (c) Vs MAO

The DDT Extreme Title will be defended in a Kids Room Death Match. Fitting given how much Shunma Katsumata and MAO act like kids whenever they fight each other. You can win with a normal 3 count but you can also win when all of your 1 and 2 counts add up to a total score of 37 (which in Japanese kind of sounds like Sauna). No rope breaks are allowed and weapons are permitted except those considered by the referee to be particularly dangerous.

Yuki Ueno and Yusuke Okada have to be split apart and put on opposite teams again.

2. “Futari wa Princess” Max Heart Tournament – Semi Final: Miyu Yamashita & Maki Itoh Vs Shoko Nakajima & Hyper Misao

We’re down to four teams: NEO Biishiki-gun, HikaShio, 121000000 and Kyoraku Kyomei. Ever since Sakisama returned to Tokyo Joshi Pro for her latest campaign, Sena Shiori has been a regular opponent for her in what has been a one sided feud so far. The other side of the bracket involves two teams both with massive momentum behind them.

The teams will now consist of 11 participants instead of 12 because Maki Itoh has a scheduling conflict and cannot be on the show. I have no inkling of what the schedule clash is so you’re not getting any speculation here. Team White is captained by Rika Tatsumi and Team Red has Shoko Nakajima as their captain. A lottery will determine who from the roster will be on which team. Each match has a 5 minute time limit and 2 Count pins. If the time expires then 1 Count sudden death overtime begins to determine the winner. The team with the most wins at the end gets the Genghis Khan Kirishima prize voucher.

Okada has stepped up to Ueno, jealous of the DDT UNIVERSAL Champion for being more successful and better looking than him. There’s still a sense of friendly competition going on between them but that could get thrown out the window if the match gets heated.

It looks like Ikuto Hidaka has virtually swept the Ganbare☆Pro roster but Kouki Iwasaki wants another shot at him. They last fought each other in a singles match back in November.

Onryo is a big step up from Shota’s last opponent that’s for sure.

The new GWC 6-Man Tag Team Champions have decided to hold off on defending the belts until this show. It was Shinichiro Tominaga’s idea because he does not want to risk losing the titles before they make it to Korakuen Hall.

Wrestlers announced to appear include Moeka Haruhi, Minoru Fujita, Yasu Urano, Miyuki Takase and Ayumi Hayashi.

6. KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles: Akito, Kazuki Hirata & Shota (c) defeated Shunma Katsumata, MAO & Yuki Ueno when Shota pinned Ueno with the Gannosuke Clutch (12:53).
*V1 for Young Communicaton Generation.
7. D-Ou Grand Prix 2021 – Final: Jun Akiyama defeated Konosuke Takeshita by TKO with a Modified Armlock (23:29).

You can now add a former Champion Carnival winner to the short list of D-Ou Grand Prix champions. Jun Akiyama overcame an injured leg to defeat his foe Konosuke Takeshita in the final. The leg injury came when Takeshita caught a Stomp and gave Akiyama a Dragon Screw. From there Takeshita targeted the leg with attacks against the ring post as well as wrestling holds to that limb. What evened the score was Takeshita going into the match with an injured arm that Akiyama could focus on. German and Exploder Suplexes were exchanged and Akiyama Headbutted his way out of a Cross-Arm German Suplex. Seeing his chance, Akiyama applied a Chickenwing Armlock and rolled Takeshita into the centre of the ring. Takeshita struggled to move and soon became lifeless. That caused Yukinori Matsui to end the match and award Akiyama the tournament!

Akiyama received his trophy and praised the field of wrestlers who competed in the Grand Prix this year. He faced a lot of great DDT wrestlers. In fact he lost to two of them in the tournament. But he is the one standing on top in the end. There are only three singles champions in Japan he recognises today: Tetsuya Naito with the IWGP Heavyweight Title, Go Shiozaki with the GHC Heavyweight Title and Tetsuya Endo with the KO-D Openweight Title. (Akiyama later explained he only recognises those championships because Naito, Shiozaki and Endo all won Tokyo Sports Awards this year. All Japan was shut out of the awards so he unfortunately no longer sees the Triple Crown as a major championship. If AJPW can win over the community and the pro wrestling media in 2021, then he will change his tune.) Akiyama now gets to face Endo in a rematch on 14th February in Culttz Kawasaki, this time for the KO-D Title. Akiyama thanked Sanshiro Takagi for inviting him to coach in DDT back in May. He also thanked the wrestlers, staff and fans for accepting him. Lastly, he thanked the All Japan fans too.

From the get go, the DDT Sauna Club did their “Heat Wave WER!!” pose to the Young Communication Generation. In response, Kazuki Hirata & Shota did the post back to their opponents while Akito looked on embarrassed by the situation. Shunma Katsumata hit the Stuka Splash on Hirata. MAO & Yuki Ueno then both leapt across the ring with Frog Splashes on Shota & Hirata. Ueno tried to hit Shota with the WR but Shota maneuvered his way into the Gannosuke Clutch to steal the win. The two teams were satisfied with their match and Akito now understands the power of the sauna.

Shota then turned his attention to Ueno and challenged him for the DDT UNIVERSAL Title. Shota wants to become a leader of the independent scene in 2021 and he is already on his way with two championshps. That’s not enough, he wants a third title that can let him travel around the world. Ueno accepted and the match will happen on 9th January as the Korakuen Hall main event! Akito then asked if his team can next defend the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles in his hometown of Nagoya when DDT goes there on 23rd February. He wants to defend the belts against DDT’s top wrestlers: Sanshiro Takagi, HARASHIMA & Danshoku Dieno! Young Communication want to beat the guys they looked up to when they were young. Then in 2021 they will all become main eventers of the indie world!

DAMNATION are looking unstoppable with the addition of Yuji Hino to their ranks. The heavyweight freelancer crushed Keigo Nakamura with a Diving Body Press to win the 8-Man Tag. He also overpowered HARASHIMA in a Chop Battle. Endo went through a few exchanges with Chris Brookes that ultimately ended with Endo hitting the Sasuke Special onto Brookes and a bunch of other wrestlers outside the ring. Shinya Aoki was the one who posed a big threat when he took down Soma Takao but DAMNATION all ganged up on him. Still, Aoki kicked out after taking a string of diving moves Endo and Takao did off of Mad Paulie’s back. After the match Daisuke Sasaki reintroduced Hino to the DDT fans. He said DAMNATION will mess up DDT’s ring in 2021! Hino told him he would like to go wild and have fun with his new friends. Backstage he also said he would like to win the KO-D Title because he thinks he held it before (he did). Endo doesn’t seem too enthused about that.

2020 ends on a strong note for Eruption. The finish to their match saw Yukio Sakaguchi & Saki Akai run opposite ways on the apron to do Penalty Kicks to Makoto Oishi & Tomomitsu Matsunaga. Akai then dove on top of them while Kazusada Higuchi applied a Lifted Brain Claw to Mizuki Watase for the victory.

Let’s be frank, Yukio Naya doesn’t know how to be Sanshiro Takagi. He needed Super Sasadango Machine to teach him when to do the “FIRE!” pose in time with the entrance music. The real Takagi demanded Danshoku Dieno to go into the Hell Gate position but he declined. Sasadango had to explain that Dieno’s backside was burned after he was sprayed with a CO2 fire extinguisher during this week’s Street Wrestling match. Takagi eventually made Dieno climb the turnbuckle and bend over, no matter how much it hurt him. Sasadango revealed he is now a shareholder of CyberAgent and attacked Takagi with his stock certificate to prove it. Sasadango’s mask slipped up when he took an Atomic Drop and he fell face first into Dieno’s backside. Takagi then stuck his fingers into Dieno’s butt, stuck them up to Naya’s nose and gave him the Stunner for the win.

The 3 Way Match briefly became two on one with Antonio Honda & Nobuhiro Shimatani joining forces to fight Toru Owashi. Gongitusune was turned into a heart shape that attracted Honda and Owashi to each other. Shimatani kept them apart but then found himself moving towards Yukinori Matsui for a possible tender embrace. Owashi & Honda both gave Shimatani a School Boy but no count happened because Matsui had his eye closed waiting to be kissed. Matsui was brought back down to Earth and Honda pinned Shimatani with the Diving Fist Drop.

The debuting Toui Kojima was put to the test against Hideki Okatani. Kojima used a Diving Body Attack from the middle rope and also a Running Double Chop. His big move of the match was a Full Nelson Buster for a 2 count. Okatani hit back with a Vertical Chop and the Northern Lights Suplex. Kojima kicked out but was put in a Crab Hold to make him submit. In his post-match interview Kojima said he wants to be a cool wrestler just by standing, like Randy Orton. He was also nervous about today’s debut. Last night he received a message of encouragement from Satoshi Kojima which only made him even more nervous. Satoshi supports him because he always likes seeing another Kojima in wrestling.

Honda’s 16th Anniversary match will be against Choun-Shiryu on 3rd January. The rest of the card for that Korakuen show will be kept secret until the show starts.

7. D-Ou Grand Prix 2021 – Final: Konosuke Takeshita vs Jun Akiyama

The final DDT show of the year will see the D-Ou Grand Prix winner crowned. Konosuke Takeshita gets his chance for revenge after losing to Jun Akiyama at “ULTIMATE PARTY 2020”. Akiyama recently made a point that DDT needs to decide if they really want to compete against New Japan. If they are willing to face the challenge head on, he will fight for them with everything he has. Could that be a hint Akiyama will stick with DDT after his loan period with them ends? I can’t imagine he will go back to All Japan after all of this.

The DDT Sauna Club gets a KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles match. The final visual we could see in a DDT ring this year is the warm and calming collection of Sauna Club wrestlers celebrating their success. It would ruin the Young Communication comeback show weeks before it takes place.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “TOKYO JOSHI PRO ’21”, 04/01/2021
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. Arisu Endo Debut Match: Arisu Endo Vs X
2. Miyu Yamashita Vs Maki Itoh
3. Princess Tag Team Titles: Nodoka Tenma & Yuki Aino (c) Vs Yuki Kamifuku & Mahiro Kiryu
4. Princess Of Princess Title: Yuka Sakazaki (c) Vs Rika Tatsumi

Itoh wants her match with Yamashita to happen in Korakuen for a couple of reasons. They headlined Korakuen on the 2019 Ittenyon show. Yamashita was also Itoh’s opponent when Itoh had her pro wrestling debut. Finally after all their matches together, Itoh has never beaten Yamashita. If she can finally beat her, Itoh said she will then challenge for the Princess Of Princess Title. This is all part of her efforts to spread the name of Tokyo Joshi Pro around the world in 2021.

*Eruption fails in V4. Young Communication Generation becomes the 42nd KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Champions!

What a shocker, Eruption loses the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles to Young Communication Generation! The collective of Akito, Kazuki Hirata & Shota pulled off a gigantic upset in the main event. But it wasn’t from Hirata sneaking the pin on Yukio Sakaguchi like before. Instead Eruption looked like they had the match in the bag. Kazusada Higuchi was handling things until Akito pulled him out of the ring. Shota lured Saki Akai into throwing a strike then caught her hand and used the Gannosuke Clutch for the title change! Shota told the others he is glad he stepped into the ring at “ULTIMATE PARTY 2020” to make the challenge. Akito congratulated Shota for finally winning a DDT championship bringing up a talk they had after a match together years ago. Back then Shota told Akito he wanted to win all the prizes in DDT. He was surprised Akito remembered that. Hirata was still scared of how Sakaguchi would react to the result but still spoke on the microphone. His failed title shot at Korakuen Hall wasn’t the happy ending he wanted. But today the sequel gave him that happy ending! Even though the three of them are all in their thirties now, they want to reestablish the Young Communication brand of shows! Only 30 people attended their original shows but they think they can do 10 times that now.

The entire DDT Sauna Club got what they wanted, an 8-Man Tag for all of them to team together. They isolated Yukio Naya when Yuki Ueno caught him with a Dropkick. Konosuke Takeshita & MAO gave him a Double Brainbuster, Shunma Katsumata followed with the Stuka Splash and Yuki Ueno finished him with the BME. All of them interviewed each other to celebrate and credited the use of saunas for being at their highest level today. Backstage Takeshita, MAO & Ueno took a commemorative photo together. They then left when Katsumata joined in the pose.

Daisuke Sasaki had Keigo Nakamura beaten with the Cross Facelock when Antonio Honda entered the ring. He was meant to break the hold but he tripped on the ropes and hurt his knee. Still, Honda wanted to tell his Gongitsune story afterward and that made Sasaki drop his guard. Nakamura of all people got angry at Honda for interrupting his serious fight with Sasaki. He then asked to join DAMNATION so they could all gang up on Honda! There was a 3 on 1 beatdown until Honda hit them all with Gongitsune Eye Pokes. When Nakamura saw that Tetsuya Endo was weakened, he ended his alliance with DAMNATION and joined Honda again. They both went for Gongitsune Nipple Grabs but Sasaki ducked and they grabbed each other by mistake. Endo used a Swan Dive move on both of them to hurt their nipples even more and Sasaki pinned Nakamura with a School Boy.

It took Gorgeous Matsuno four tries at doing the Gorgeous Superstar Elbow. When he finally did the move correctly, Danshoku Dieno easily rolled him into a Crucifix Pin for the three count. After the match Matsuno said it doesn’t matter if he breaks his arms or legs, he has a reason to want the O-40 Title back. He then announced he will have a show in Fukushima celebrating his 60th birtday on 18th April. He needs to be the O-40 Champion again to make that show a success!

In the meeting between two Junretsu members, Makoto Oishi defeated Hideki Okatani. They praised each other for a good match afterward.

Endo Apologizes, MAO’s Ambassador Hopes, Young Communication Revival, Kawasaki Strong

November 4, 2020

A press conference was held today reacting to the aftermath of “ULTIMATE PARTY 2020”. It began with Tetsuya Endo apologizing to anyone who was offended by Shuji Ishikawa’s singing at the end of the show. Endo then explained his treatment of Daisuke Sasaki over the last couple of weeks including banishing him from DAMNATION was all done to guarantee he would get the most serious match out of him. He doesn’t hate him and it’s all water under the bridge now. Finally, Endo announced that Nobuhiro Shimatani has been promoted from a temporary DAMNATION member to an official full time member. Sasaki has been asked to hold the signboard from now on.

1. O-40 Title: Gorgeous Matsuno (c) Vs Toru Owashi
2. DDT UNIVERSAL Title: Yuki Ueno (c) Vs MAO

He’s been gone for over four months but MAO thinks he is already good enough to get a title shot after one match back. He hopes if he wins the DDT UNIVERSAL Title he can show the belt off to the mayor of Osaki and become an ambassador for his hometown just like Endo became one for Shiroishi. Yuki Ueno is looking forward to defending the title against another DNA wrestler. Ueno was only part of that brand for a year or two before it was suspended so he didn’t get to wrestle MAO as much over there. That MAO approached him to make the challenge makes Ueno happy.

1. KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles: Kazusada Higuchi, Yukio Sakaguchi & Saki Akai (c) Vs Akito, Kazuki Hirata & Shota

Long before DNA there was another brand associated with DDT that was dedicated to giving the young wrestlers ring time. Monthly Young Communication existed a decade ago where the likes of Akito, Kazuki Hirata and Shota got to wrestle with each other. This was long before any member of Eruption joined DDT so the reemergence of this brand to challenge them for the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles surprised them. But they said they will take on any trio who wants to take them on so the titles are on the line.

DDT “KAWASAKI STRONG 2021”, 14/02/2021
Culttz Kawasaki

1. KO-D Openweight Title: Tetsuya Endo (c) Vs X

Normally DDT holds two major shows a year in venues such as Sumo Hall or Ota Ward Gymnasium. The Coronavirus pandemic has forced them to reconsider the schedule and attempt more shows in bigger venues. It’s hard to say if Sumo Hall will be available for DDT in 2021 because of the rescheduled Olympic Games. It has also been difficult for DDT to find a venue that will allow 1,000+ fans to attend their show. Also there are cities in Japan where the population are staying put rather than travelling to Tokyo for their entertainment. So DDT are attempting to hold a major show outside of Tokyo, choosing the Culttz Kawasaki venue in Kawasaki as their spot. For now the only match attached to the card is a KO-D Openweight Title defence. It’s not confirmed yet if the D-Ou Grand Prix winner will be the challenger but that’s usually how it goes.

8. KO-D Openweight Title – BLACK OUT Presents: Tetsuya Endo (c) defeated Daisuke Sasaki with the Shooting Star Press (27:48).
*V3 for Tetsuya Endo.

The stage was set for the Battle Of DAMNATION over the KO-D Openweight Title. The challenger Daisuke Sasaki walked down to the ring carrying a chair with Hiroshi Yamato backing him up. The champion Tetsuya Endo appeared with #DAMNHEARTS flanking behind him. Sasaki immediately went for the Cross Facelock when the match began and Endo fled out of the ring. Endo went for a Shooting Star Press at the first opportunity and Sasaki too backed away. Sasaki blocked a Quebrada and attacked Endo’s leg with the chair. Nobuhiro Shimatani bought Endo some time to recover by pulling Sasaki out of the ring but Endo’s leg was too damaged to do the Sasuke Special. Shimatani again pulled Sasaki out of the ring and the rest of #DAMNHEARTS joined in the interference. When Endo was handed a chair to use on Sasaki, he threw it away and told #DAMNHEARTS to stop getting involved. He wanted the match to stay one on one. Everyone appreciated his noble intention except for Sasaki who gave him a Low Blow. Later Shimatani and Mad Paulie got on the apron to distract Yukinori Matsui. Things went out of control from there when Sasaki catapulted Endo into the three of them, taking the referee out. Endo grabbed the chair off Sasaki and readied his swing when Paulie blocked the chair and allowed Sasaki to Low Blow Endo again! Sasaki hit a chairshot over Endo’s head and placed him in the Cross Facelock in time for Matsui to recover. However Endo reach the ropes. Sasaki used his flash Hurricanrana but only got a two count. Endo quickly turned the tables and hit the Swivel Torture Rack Bomb yet his Shooting Star Press was blocked by Sasaki’s knees. Sasaki rolled Endo back into the Cross Facelock and tried to switch it into the Crossover version but it was broken up by a Cradle pin attempt. Endo eventually did the Modified One-Winged Angel but Sasaki kicked out at two. Sasaki was spent at this point and could do little else. Endo hugged him then Headbutted him before winning with the Shooting Star Press.

Sasaki was helped to the back by Yamato and Paulie when Endo told them to come back. Endo is going to take responsibility for Sasaki’s future in front of everyone. A defeated Sasaki wanted none of it and demanded a ten bell salute to mark his retirement from pro wrestling. Yamato went to ring the bell but Endo stopped him. Retirement is not taking responsibility in Endo’s eyes. He’d rather see Sasaki stick to wrestling. He wanted a serious fight with Sasaki today and he got it. So now he wants them to reach the top together as part of DAMNATION! Sasaki began to cry and asked if that means he can disregard the retirement stipulation he promised? Endo would allow it. The two shook hands and suddenly Shuji Ishikawa walked out singing “Ito” by Miyuki Nakajima. He congratulated his friends and told them how happy he is to see them make up. He then went back to singing, ignoring anyone who asked him what he was doing. Endo closed out the show with his victory speech when Ishikawa was finished. The Saitama Super Arena show was cancelled and then the Sumo Hall show was cancelled but DDT was able to get it done in Ota Ward Gymnasium. Endo thanked everyone for believing in them to put the show together. #DAMNHEARTS gathered together on the stage for one last pose. “Into The Light” played while the credits rolled and the final view we see is Endo and Sasaki walking down a hallway side by side.

In the post-show interview, Endo said he was so driven to get the match he wanted today that he wonders if he is now reborn because of it. Sasaki still thinks he should retire for losing. He and Sasaki agreed that he should at least go on a retirement tour. The “Charisma Retirement Tour” begins tomorrow and will last until the year 2080. Sasaki expects either he or the media will be dead at that point so they should all be around to witness the tour from beginning to end. Endo said there is no limit for DAMNATION’s goal to reach the top. He wants them to win all of the titles in DDT! He also brought up the idea of DDT going back to Shiroishi because he recently became a tourist ambassador for the city. Ishikawa pointed out he has now sung inside Sumo Hall, the Budokan and Ota Ward Gym. Only the Tokyo Dome remains!

Jun Akiyama made Konosuke Takeshita tap out! Stamina was Akiyama’s concern over the match so he wanted to win early. They kept battling over the German Suplex and the Exploder Suplex as well as the Lariat against the Jumping Knee. Akiyama outlasted his opponent and got a critical strike in when he pulled down a kneepad and struck with his exposed knee. Takeshita kicked out of the Exploder but seemed to be done when Akiyama did the Wrist Clutch Exploder. But rather than pin him, Akiyama instead applied the Front Neck Lock and made Takeshita tap to win. Backstage he praised Takeshita and said he has all the tools a great wrestler needs. But he is still missing experience. Akiyama knows many of the moves Takeshita uses and if there was more emotion put into them then maybe today’s result would have been different. If Takeshita can take the lead from Akiyama in a match then he will win. But for now Akiyama is still in the lead. A defeated Takeshita is now left wondering if the path he took all this time was the wrong one.

A new variation of the WR made Yuki Ueno the new DDT UNIVERSAL Champion! He used a Wrist Clutch version of the hold called the WR Unlimited to pin Chris Brookes. Ueno thanked everyone for their support and invited all of DISASTER BOX into the ring. He thanked each of them before announcing he is leaving the group! The reason he was able to win and defend the KO-D Tag Team Titles with Naomi Yoshimura was because of everybody in DISASTER BOX watching over him. He worked hard ever since joining the group and it paid off with his first singles title today. He thinks Yoshimura and Kazuki Hirata will be good rivals for him while all of his senpais will become a high wall for him to climb over.

DISASTER BOX posed together with Ueno for the last time. When they left, MAO entered the ring wanting the new champ’s attention. Ueno is now alone? Well MAO is alone too. Since they are not both feeling lonely they should be together! Ueno was confused and thought MAO was asking for a hug. Instead MAO hit him with a Palm Strike and explained he was asking for a UNIVERSAL Title match as soon as possible. Hisaya Imabayashi made the match official for the 8th November episode of DDT TV SHOW.

In an upset, CimaSoma defeated HarashiMarufuji with Soma Takao getting the three count on HARASHIMA! The veteran outsiders CIMA and Naomichi Marufuji cancelled each other out whenever they faced off. They both did Corner To Corner Dropkicks on each other’s partners at the same time. Takao intercepted HARASHIMA’s Somato with the Schwein, giving CIMA the opening to do the Mad Splash. Takao followed up with his own Mad Splash but Marufuji broke the pin. Takao struggled to get HARASHIMA into the Gin And Tonic and got rolled over. But he readjusted himself to stand back up with HARASHIMA still in position to take the move. Takao pulled it off and got the win because of it. CIMA was surprised by the result and admitted as such. Takao felt a little awful that CIMA thought he couldn’t win but he’ll forget about it. After all, Takao got to wrestling in his hometown, teaming with somebody he highly respects and wearing similar gear too! Takao asked CIMA to team with him again so they can go after the KO-D Tag Titles.

The contract for the DDT Extreme Title match was finally signed in the ring moments before the match took place. As soon as Shinya Aoki put pen to paper, he attacked Sanshiro Takagi and the match began. Aoki gave Takagi a Piledriver on the table before the first weapon showed up. It was Keigo Nakamura. He and Aoki worked together to fight Takagi. The second weapon was a Sound Only Current Blast Bat. Takagi pressed the button to switch the bat on and swung it at Aoki. Nakamura took the hit instead to the sound of a large explosion, knocking him out. The next weapon was Maku Donaruto. He helped Aoki until Takagi’s equalizer appeared. It was Hayato “Mach” Sakurai! He tossed over Donaruto (not in the way Donaruto wanted) and chased him away from the ring. Aoki’s next weapon was “Exposure Talk”, a video of Danshoku Dieno & Super Sasadango Machine with their faces blurred talking about embarrassing stories involving Takagi. It caused great psychological damage to Takagi. However the weapon after that was another “Exposure Talk” video. This one was of an unidentified woman (possibly Aoki’s ex-wife) making innuendos about how awful Aoki’s “ground game” is. Takagi rolled Aoki over for a School Boy but Aoki kicked out so Takagi called for another “Exposure Talk” video. This time the video was of another woman revealing the dirty Instagram DMs Aoki had been sending her. The video was so shocking that Aoki became lifeless. Takagi easily pinned him with La Magistral Cradle then bowed in apology. Aoki was carried out of the ring on a stretcher while Takagi was handed his newly won title.

Takagi was approached by Imabayashi about his first title defence. Who, when and where are the questions Imabayashi wants the answers to. Takagi wants the title to shine brighter so every one of his defences will take place outside the ring and on the streets! He wants any wrestler from any company with any amount of experience to come challenge him. His title defences won’t be shown on WRESTLE UNIVERSE or ABEMA. Instead they will be held on DDT’s Youtube channels! It will be an All You Can Eat Extreme Defence Battle! Takagi went up to the stage to celebrate but was attacked by Shunma Katsumata with a chair. Katsumata made it clear he wants a title match.

Sasadango had a cunning plan for the Survival 4 Way Trios match. He needed to confuse the #DAMNHEARTS team so hidden underneath his mask was his face painted to look like Mad Paulie. He claimed the make up was made with a special elixir from the African Amazon. A match with this many wrestlers involved already became a mess when everyone gathered around Daisuke Kiso asking to be body checked all at once. Antonio Honda went through great effort not to lose his balance but still tripped and hurt his knee. He wanted to tell a Gongitsune story but El Lindaman stopped him. The time was now for Sasadango’s plan. He unmasked, showed them his Paulie facepaint and said he wanted to join them as Paulie #2! #DAMNHEARTS excitedly accepted him and they posed together. They then attacked Sasadango’s tag partner Makoto Oishi. A Sandwich Lariat from Paulie & Sasadango missed Kazuki Hirata and then a Double Lariat hit Shimatani & Lindaman instead. Hirata took advantage and pinned Shimatani to eliminated #DAMNHEARTS. The match continued with everyone attacking Hirata. He got all of them to stop and then tricked Yukio Sakaguchi to do a hop spot on his own. An Estrella chain was made around the ring and Honda stood in the centre to tell his Gongitsune joke. He poked everyone in the eyes and then pinched Sakaguchi’s nipple. Hirata snuck in and pinned Honda to eliminate his team. It was down to Eruption and DISASTER BOX. Kazusada Higuchi took out Naomi Yoshimura & Toru Owashi with a Double Lariat. When they recovered outside the ring, Saki Akai dove onto them from the top turnbuckle. Hirata went for the Miracle One Shot Cradle on Sakaguchi but it was reversed for the three count, giving Eruption the victory.

There was hardly any time for Eruption to celebrate when Hirata got on the microphone and called Sakaguchi a coward for how he won the match. Suddenly Shota got into the ring wanting to speak to Sakaguchi. He brought up comments made by Sakaguchi & Akai about Eruption defending the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles against any trio who are motivated enough to challenge them. Shota wants himself, Hirata and Akito to get a title shot by representing the Young Communication generation! Sakaguchi doesn’t know what that is and thinks Hirata is too old to be part of something with “Young” in the name. Akai did say Eruption would take on all comers so they accept the challenge. The match will be held on the 14th November episode of DDT TV SHOW.

Looks like nerves got the best of both Danshoku Dieno and Akito. Dieno was found by Imabayashi outside the restroom backstage. Dieno looked like he was having stomach cramps but Imabayashi ignored him to bring up something more important. Dieno is still prohibited from kissing other wrestlers for safety reasons so he must wrestle the match with bamboo held in his mouth. Meanwhile Akito couldn’t sleep last night so he drank bottle after bottle of energy drinks to stay awake. The end result was Dieno and Akito both wrestling with sick stomachs. Dieno resisted using his regular attacks until Akito begged him to do them. Dieno finally removed the bamboo so they could have the vulgar match they wanted. Suddenly Akito asked for a time out due to stomach cramps. Dieno attacked him anyway and did the Danshoku Driver. The expression on his face froze and “Gurenge” from the anime Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba began playing. Yukinori Matsui began to notice a smell in the ring while Dieno tried to sneak away. Akito attacked Dieno as the smell got worse. Dieno fought back and pulled his tights down to reveal he was wearing a diaper underneath! He gave Akito the Final Nightmare and called Matsui over to check if Akito was still conscious. Suddenly, Yuki Iino jumped onto the ring apron encouraging Akito not to give up. Akito recovered and put Dieno into the Goliath Birdeater, changing it up so he could get close enough to give Dieno the Lip Lock so Dieno would give up. Akito is satisfied to have had such a vulgar match during the Coronavirus pandemic. He is both prepared as a pro wrestler and determined as the CyberFight Vice President.

MAO’s comeback match with Shunma Katsumata resulted in the ring getting filled with toy blocks. There might also have been little bits of glass from lighttubes in there for which Katsumata apologized for. MAO used a Swan Dive Phoenix Splash to win. It’s called the Marines Tornado Splash because its was originally used by Marines Mask II. MAO had always wanted to try the move himself. He and Katsumata were in good spirits together afterward. They’re considering whether or not to team together again for the first time since their NωA days. They are still connected through the DDT Sauna Club so they are thinking if they can turn that project into a proper unit. Katsumata later MAO “Congratulations on your return!” when he found out nobody else said that sentence to him.

At the start of the show, Yuki Iino gave a brief update on his hip injury. He was safely discharged from the hospital and is currently rehabilitating with the goal of returning in February next year. He performed the Haka to kick off the show.

There were two pre-show matches. One of them saw Hiroshi Yamato & Hoshitango defeat Mizuki Watase & Yukio Naya.

The other saw Hideki Okatani beat Keigo Nakamura in the battle of the rookies. Can you tell I’m getting tired?

The D-Ou Grand Prix 2021 field was announced after intermission. The A Block consists of Konosuke Takeshita, HARASHIMA, Daisuke Sasaki, Yukio Sakaguchi, Akito, MAO and Chris Brookes. Block B features Tetsuya Endo, Kazusada Higuchi, Soma Takao, Makoto Oishi, Yuki Ueno, Shunma Katsumata and Jun Akiyama. According to Akiyama he is looking forward to wrestling more of the DDT roster after focusing so much of his time on Takeshita.

DDT’s first major show of 2021 on 14th February. “KAWASAKI STRONG 2021” will take place in Culttz Kawasaki.

6. KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles: Kazusada Higuchi, Yukio Sakaguchi & Saki Akai (c) defeated Yuki Ueno, Naomi Yoshimura & Kazuki Hirata by TKO when Sakaguchi used the Rear Naked Choke Sleeper on Ueno (17:27).
*V3 for Eruption.
7. KO-D Tag Team Titles: Kazusada Higuchi & Yukio Sakaguchi defeated Yuki Ueno & Naomi Yoshimura (c) when Higuchi pinned Yoshimura with the Goten (19:33).
*Nautilus fails in V8. Eruption becomes the 68th KO-D Tag Team Champions!

The tag team division in DDT now revolves around Eruption! They went through a double main event of two title matches and came out holding both sets of championships. The first match was them defending the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles against DISASTER BOX. Lightning did not strike twice for Kazuki Hirata. He got Yukio Sakaguchi in the Miracle One Shot Cradle but this time Sakaguchi kicked out not once but twice. Saki Akai dove onto Naomi Yoshimura and Kazusada Higuchi outside the ring while Sakaguchi ran across the apron and Penalty Kicked Yuki Ueno. In the ring, Ueno went for the WR on Sakaguchi but it was countered into the Choke Sleeper. Ueno tried to fight out of it but lost consciousness and the match was stopped. Eruption kept the 6-Man Tag Titles and posed with them for the cameras during the rest period.

Sakaguchi & Higuchi were then ready to fight Nautilus for the KO-D Tag Team Titles. First they swapped sides of the ring so the champions and challengers would start in the correct corners. Ueno was still in poor shape from the last match and was knocked silly by a Sakaguchi High Kick. Higuchi stopped the referee from checking on Ueno’s condition so the match could continue. Ueno managed to escape and tag Yoshimura in. The champions regained their breath and hit big moves on Higuchi including the Osaka Strad. Sakaguchi broke the count and the match was left in a standstill after Yoshimura and Higuchi traded slams. Yoshimura’s power was fading so Higuchi took his chance with a Headbutt. He then hit the Goten for the three count and the title change!

Eruption stood in the ring now holding both tag team titles. Higuchi told Nautilus and Hirata they could challenge for either belts again anytime. They’re all young and have momentum but today is Eruption’s victory. Sakaguchi said he shouldn’t ever be losing to Hirata but he gave Nautilus their props for being a fun team to fight. Akai thanked her partners for their hard work. She reiterated that everyone can challenge Eruption for the titles if they have the courage to step up to them.

Ueno’s bad day went even worse backstage. His post-match interview was interrupted by Chris Brookes making fun of him for losing his championship. A fight broke out between them and Brookes tangled Ueno up in the Octopus Stretch before leaving.

A lot of wrestlers used today’s show to prepare for “ULTIMATE PARTY 2020” since this was the last DDT event until then. CIMA and Soma Takao wrestled each other. A video was shown before the match explaining Takao’s past in the college wrestling club scene where he wrestled as BIMA. He used CIMA’s own moves against him including the Schwein and the Mad Splash. CIMA blocked the Mad Splash with his knees and hit the original Schwein. But instead of pinning him straight away, CIMA instead finished Takao off with the Meteora.

CIMA greeted the fans afterwards and told them it’s been six months since he last wrestled in Korakuen Hall. He knew about Takao’s history as BIMA and how much today’s match meant for him. He encouraged Takao to beat HarashiMarufuji when they face them at “ULTIMATE PARTY 2020”. If Takao can pin either HARASHIMA or Naomichi Marufuji then he will have surpassed CIMA. Takao can even change his name to DIMA to prove he has overtaken CIMA!

A contract signing for the “ULTIMATE PARTY 2020” main event took place during the show. Tetsuya Endo and Daisuke Sasaki both entered the ring wearing suits and were given a final opportunity to give their opinion on the match. Sasaki still thinks about DAMNATION betraying him so he is ready to rob the belt from Endo. He tried to start a fight but Hisaya Imabayashi kept him under control. Endo said he knew things would get shaken up after he nominated Sasaki to be his challenger. No matter what he does, Sasaki will always be a B-Class wrestler with no brain. Imabayashi again had to stop Sasaki from starting a fight. Endo then antagonized him further by saying he has no credit in helping him win the KO-D Openweight Title. Endo won it from Masato Tanaka on his own without help from anybody else. The contract was signed but the fight finally broke out during the photo session. Endo pulled Sasaki by the suit and had to be held back back Imabayashi. Sasaki then saw his opening and hit Endo with a Low Blow. He attacked Endo with a chair and then put him in the Crossface Lock until they were pulled apart.

It was the last skirmish between ALL OUT and Junretsu before Konosuke Takeshita and Jun Akiyama finally have their singles match. The match went all Kinnikuman when Akito carried Makoto Oishi in the Kinniku Buster position and dropped him onto his knees. Takeshita took one things further by using Neptuneman’s finishing move, the Double Leg Suplex Hold to win the match! Akiyama knocked the microphone away from Takeshita when he tried to speak into it. Akiyama shared some words off-mic and left the ring. Takeshita said he will definitely beat him at Ota Ward Gymnasium. Afterwards Takeshita explained he is now going to try out new moves whenever he is against Oishi. He has 108 moves to try out and already attempted 3. That leaves 105 left for Oishi to take. Akiyama was asked about the D-Ou Grand Prix. He isn’t interested in entering it but could change his mind.

Shinya Aoki made sure that Mad Paulie’s size advantage didn’t matter when they fought. Aoki took his time and left the ring whenever things got too risky. Then when he got Paulie down on the mat he switched from submission to submission until Paulie tapped to a Heel Hold. Aoki then surprised everyone by suddenly announcing he was vacating the DDT Extreme Title and quitting DDT! Sanshiro Takagi was watching from the balcony and he assured everyone that his match with Aoki for the title will take place at “ULTIMATE PARTY 2020” as advertised. Yeesh, first Khabib Nurmagomedov calls it quits and now this?

Is this love, is this love, is this love, is this love that I’m feeling? The undercard 6-Man Tag match went on a romantic turn when HARASHIMA and Brookes locked eyes. Music played and the other wrestlers danced while they slowly looked like they were about to embrace. Then Antonio Honda and Toru Owashi rolled both of them into School Boys for a double nearfall. Shunma Katsumata and Yukio Naya took each other out after a Thrust Kick and Lariat collision. Owashi was able to pin Honda with La Magistral Cradle to win.

Before Owashi could leave, Imabayashi stopped him to give some good news. Owashi will face Gorgeous Matsuno for the O-40 Title on 8th November! Owashi immediately refused and walked off. Imabayashi asked why and Owashi said that match will ruin his career. Imabayashi said Owashi can take the money earned at the merch table that day. Owashi agreed but then realised the date is an empty studio episode of DDT TV SHOW. He was too late to stop Imabayashi from confirming the match and running away.

Danshoku Dieno took part in the opening announcements but was interrupted by a video of his opponent Keigo Nakamura. He told Dieno that he will sneak attack him from a part of the venue he will never expect. When Dieno looked around to find out where, Nakamura ran in and went for a Springboard Dropkick. Dieno easily dodged it, gave Nakamura the Danshoku Driver and with Muscle Sakai announced the start of the show.

Nakamura was unconscious in the ring throughout the entire intro video and his match was first! Dieno entered the ring again and went for the pin as the bell rang. It was a trap and Nakamura rolled Dieno over but only got a two count. Nakamura put up a fight and escaped from a Double Wristlock via rope break. Dieno put him away with the Lip Lock and a Raw version of the Gotch-Style Danshoku Driver.

DDT is collaborating with Capital Sports for a range of sportswear. The original Capital Sports provided uniforms for companies like IWE, FMW and All Japan until the brand was retired. Their wrestling clothing was not sold to the public so they became rare collector’s items, sort of like the Ribera jacket. At the time many foreign wrestlers wore clothing from the brand in Japan including Bruiser Brody. In fact it’s been said that Brody was laid to rest wearing his favourite Capital Sports shirt. The brand disappeared after a merger involving its parent company but twenty years later it has been revived! DDT is one of the first wrestling companies to work with them.

The dark match saw Hiroshi Yamato defeat Hideki Okatani. Yamato is still sporting the black marks over his eyes like Sasaki. He also did not sing his entrance song like he normally does.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “WRESTLE PRINCESS”, 07/11/2020
Tokyo Dome City Hall

1. Suzume & Sena Shiori Vs Moka Miyamoto & Mei Suruga
2. Marika Kobashi & Haruna Neko Vs Pom Harajuku & Mahiro Kiryu

10. Princess Of Princess Title: Yuka Sakazaki (c) Vs Mizuki

Looks like the card is mostly complete. Miyu Yamashita and Maki Itoh have a mystery partner tag match to prepare for. Yamashita had a recent interview where she said she would like to wrestle more joshi legends, naming Meiko Satomura and Aja Kong as examples. Yamashita has her history with Satomura and Itoh has had a go with Kong before so those two are good predictions. But what if the mysteries aren’t women? Itoh teams with Chris Brookes a lot and let’s face it, him showing up to wrestle on a joshi show shouldn’t surprise anyone at this point. In that case then Yamashita can team with Antonio Honda again. It will be just a little over a year since their match with Kenny Omega & Riho so a reunion can be in order. Those are the two directions I could think of based on the past of both women.

Raku is still searching for her first singles win. Can she get it by beating the returning Yuna Manase?

Mei Suruga from Gatoh Move makes her Tokyo Joshi Pro debut. She’s been on DDT shows before but her only TJPW related match was against NEO Biishiki-gun in 2018.

DDT “DAMNATION ILLEGAL ASSEMBLY RETURNS VOL. 2 ~DAISUKE SASAKI 15TH ANNIVERSARY SP~”, 12/11/2020
Shinjuku FACE

1. Daisuke Sasaki 15th Anniversary Match: Daisuke Sasaki & Shuji Ishikawa Vs Yuko Miyamoto & Daisuke Sekimoto

He was kicked out of DAMNATION but Daisuke Sasaki still thinks the unit belongs to him. So for the upcoming DAMNATION produced show next month celebrating his 15th Anniversary, Sasaki is not booking any of the wrestlers who stabbed him in the back! At first that meant only Sasaki and Hiroshi Yamato were booked for the show. Shuji Ishikawa has been busy with his work in All Japan during all of this so he was unaware of what happened to DAMNATION. He still considers himself a member but is neutral when it comes to the Sasaki versus Tetsuya Endo drama. Still, he wants to be on the show especially if it means he can sing karaoke again. Yuko Miyamoto & Daisuke Sekimoto are a suitable guest pairing to go up against Sasaki & Ishikawa.
