Sometimes when plans fall apart, creative ideas get to shine. DDT’s solution for cancelling a bunch of shows over fears of the Coronavirus was to record replacement shows in their own dojo. No fans were allowed in so it was all done to be shown live on DDT UNIVERSE.
One of the wrestlers who struggled to wrestle in an empty venue was HARASHIMA. He usually feeds off of the cheering fans. He gathered some momentum thanks to guys like Makoto Oishi and Naomi Yoshimura chanting his name in the background but it just wasn’t the same. Things were looking bleak until “Toru Owashi” entered the room and handed a pair of headphones to HARASHIMA. He put them on and could suddenly hear cheering fans! He went back into the ring like a house on fire but he missed a High Kick and struck Oishi by accident. Daisuke Sasaki then caught Oishi in the Crossface Lock for the submission victory.
Hiroshi Yamato said he was grateful to wrestle today because one of the cancelled shows was supposed to be at his hometown in Chiba. He wants to show the fans that all of the wrestlers will take the initiative and stand in their place one way or another.
Today’s show was also taking place on Akito’s birthday. His birthday gift was a moment to stare lovingly into Tetsuya Endo’s eyes while he was being stretched in the Yurikamome hold. After the match Endo was asked if he felt Akito’s love during that moment. Endo said he only loves his stag and kabuto beetles.
Nautilus seemed to have a better time than others with adjusting to the quiet atmosphere. Yuki Ueno said he could feel the fan support in his heart. Today’s match against Konosuke Takeshita & Shunma Katsumata was just what he needed. His trips with the DDT Sauna Club lately have felt too well organised and he can’t feel comfortable in the ring if he doesn’t feel tired from working hard.
CDK won a close one over Eruption. The end saw Kazusada Higuchi save Saki Akai from the Praying Mantis Bomb by hitting Chris Brookes with a Lariat. Akai went for the Quetzalcoatl but Masahiro Takanashi grabbed Brookes’s hand to block the move. He then distracted Akai by pinching her nose. Brooke rolled on top of Akai with a Jackknife to grab the win.
The opening match was as lewd as Danshoku Dieno wanted it to be. He was confused during his entrance because there was nobody around to kiss. Keigo Nakamura challenged Dieno to face off with him, declaring that he will try to win the KO-D Openweight Title in the shortest career time in history. Dieno did his thing with Nakamura, Yuki Iino got involved too. On the ring apron, Dieno lifted Nakamura up for a Power Bomb but it was to pass him over to Yukio Naya to do the match winning Brainbuster. Dieno & Naya call this double team move the Grand Cross From Hell.

There was havoc caused in the KO-D Tag Team Title match when the referees kept getting wiped out. Yukinori Matsui got knocked away several times forcing Tomomitsu Matsunaga to come in as a substitute. He got knocked down as well so no referee was around to count any pins. Danshoku Dieno & Super Sasadango Machine called in their secret weapon. It was the third referee DJ Nira! He was on their side and tried to win them the Tag Titles. Matsui recovered and counted a pin for Nautilus but Nira stopped him with an Elbow Drop. Matsui gave Nira a Lariat and took back control of the match. The challengers got rid of Yuki Ueno and gave Naomi Yoshimura a double team Danshoku Driver for a nearfall. Sasadango pulled off his mask in frustration and went in for the kill. But Yoshimura overpowered him and hit a Lariat for the three count.
After the match Ueno said that the last time DDT was supposed to be in Nagoya he, Yoshimura & HARASHIMA were meant to challenge for the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles. A typhoon postponed the show so that match never happened. Today Ueno & Yoshimura were able to give Nagoya a tag title match in a different form. That makes them glad. Ueno said they will next defend the titles against The Moonlight Express. However Hisaya Imabayashi has not decided on the date for that match yet.
Makoto Oishi complained that the Nagoya team were too noisy making their introductions so he and Toru Owashi taped Hiroaki Ura’s mouth shut. Intelligence Sensational Grand Passion Mask #4 got revenge by whispering the word “Divorce” into Oishi’s ear at every opportunity to drive him mad. He also targeted Owashi’s nipples. HARASHIMA and Kengo Takai were the only ones acting normally. They simply told each other “long time no see” before they wrestled.
The Okibariyasu trial is now at 2 wins and 2 losses after Saki Akai defeated Miranda Gordy. Akai said she wants to win her remaining three matches so she and Eruption can make DDT even bigger.

The debut of the DDT Sauna Club could have gone better. MAO would have had Mad Paulie beaten but Daisuke Sasaki pulled Yukinori Matsui out of the ring during the pin count. By the time he recovered, DAMNATION went on the offensive. Konosuke Takeshita attempted to turn the tides but that fell apart when a Lariat aimed for Tetsuya Endo hit Yuki Ueno instead. Endo finished off Ueno to give DAMNATION the win. After the match Takeshita offered to bring MAO & Ueno to a local sauna. Ueno didn’t know if they deserved to visit one after losing a match. Takeshita told him that saunas accepts winners and losers. They can win and lose in wrestling but they never lose in the DDT Sauna Club!
The Running Elbow Butt is becoming an effective counter move for Soma Takao. He used it to stop dead Yuki Iino’s Spear.
Match #2 began with Yoshihiko lying on the canvas. Toru Owashi stepped on top of it and his weight easily pinned down his opponent for the three count. Kazuki Hirata complained about the match being so short. They didn’t go on a 16 hour bus ride to give paying customers a 20 second match! He told Makoto Oishi team with him and restart the match straight away. In the rematch Yoshihiko put up a far better fight. Hirata knocked out Owashi and Oishi with the Tegatana Chops to the neck. When he got his hands on Yoshihiko, the Hirata GO! Glasses came into play. All four wrestlers wore the glasses and danced until Yoshihiko pinned Hirata with the Reincarnation.

Miyu Yamashita and Natsumi Maki continue their series of singles matches. Yamashita was happy with Maki’s performance in their previous match. Now she will see if Maki has gotten even better in the third match.

Several members of Homoiro Clover Z came gathered together for a special reunion. There was Danshoku Dieno, Makoto Oishi, Akito, KUDO, Hiroshi Fukuda and even Yoshihiko playing the role of Kota Ibushi all turning up. With the power of pop music, HomoClo won the main event with everyone getting involved. Fukuda knocked away HARASHIMA, KUDO gave Mizuki Watase a Buzzsaw Kick and Yoshihiko hit Keisuke Ishii with the Kamigoye. Oishi then pinned Watase with the Luminous Press.
Their victory celebration was interrupted by a familiar song. “ωe are the HERO!!” played as MAO & Shunma Katsumata walked out representing NωA! They came out calling themselves the only real idol unit in the history of DDT. Oishi was conflicted. Here he is with HomoClo but he is a part of NωA too. The two units had a tug of war over Oishi until he came up with an idea. Homoiro Clover Z and NωA will fight over who gets Oishi on the 26th March BOYZ show.
Keigo Nakamura’s audition for BOYZ began with him singing “Young Man” for his entrance. Hiroshi Yamato then showed him how it was really done by singing “BURN” and wrestling in a fancy suit.
Problems began to surface between Soma Takao & Tetsuya Endo. Missed attacks and forced tags made it seem like they were going to break up. But they were able to solve their problem and reconcile.

Just like what happened the last time they teamed together, Shinya Aoki wanted to copy HARASHIMA’s Diving Body Press. Konosuke Takeshita used a Power Bomb to place HARASHIMA in position for Makoto Oishi’s Luminous Press. Aoki broke the pin and tagged himself in. He and Oishi scrambled on the mat when Oishi put him in a Sleeper Hold. Aoki countered it into a European Clutch. Oishi got out of it and went for the Jikiden Tornado Clutch. Aoki countered that into an Omoplatta for the submission victory.
Nautilus told the crowd they will do their best to defend the KO-D Tag Team Titles against Yuki Iino & Chihiro Hashimoto next week. Will the fans come to support them? “Yes or Nautilus!”
MAO and Mizuki Watase used a small cart to push each other into the ring posts as well as into Keigo Nakamura.
Speaking of Nakamura, he repeated the Hirata GO! glasses bit from yesterday’s show. It ended with Nakamura wearing Hisaya Imabayashi’s glasses again and dancing to “Toriko” by Nissy. Iino put on rugby headgear and accidentally tackled Nakamura with the Spear. Kazuki Hirata then pinned Nakamura with the Egoist Driver.

– Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title: Toru Owashi defeated Kazuki Hirata (c) with a School Boy (2:43 pm). *Toru Owashi becomes the 1,473rd champion.
The right arm of Naomi Yoshimura was targeted by DAMNATION throughout the main event. Daisuke Sasaki attacked the arm with chairs outside the ring. However Yoshimura’s power couldn’t be contained and he was still able to smash Mad Paulie around. HARASHIMA helped Yoshimura set up Lariats. From there Yoshimura gave Paulie the Drill-A-Hole Piledriver for the win. This was a successful tour in his home of Osaka because he won the main events of both DDT shows.
The inclusion of Kuishinbo Kamen in the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles match delivered some Osaka flavored comedy to the proceedings. When the match began Kamen sat in the front row and refused to wrestle. He finally got involved when Kazuki Hirata needed to make a hot tag. Kamen tagged in and started a chain reaction of Low Kicks to the leg with everyone over reacting the sell. Yuki Iino missed the Haka Elbow on Antonio Honda. When Honda attempted the same move he tripped and injured himself. He told his Gongitsune joke and Hirata did his dance afterwards. Iino joined in with the Haka and became too excited. Konosuke Takeshita & Shunma Katsumata tried to calm him down but he knocked them back and ran around ringside. Takeshita got him back under control. He then yelled “Iino Rocket” and threw him into Honda. Honda maneuvered Iino back around and made him Spear his ALL OUT teammates. All six wrestlers got into the ring and did a chain reaction of Low Blows ending with Yukinori Matsui. He unintentionally hit Kamen with a Lariat then hit Honda & Hirata with a Double Lariat when they both grabbed him in protest. Iino pinned Kamen with the Haka Elbow to ensure ALL OUT kept the titles. Takeshita swore he will invade OSW (the Osaka one, not the Review one) and show Kamen what strong style really is!
Yuni begun the day as DAMNATION’s temporary signboard holder, lost the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title to Yuki Ueno in a tag match and then got to face CIMA one on one! Yuni got a nearfall on CIMA with a Moonsault. CIMA came out on top by countering a Hurricanrana into a slow drop Power Bomb. He then applied a Camel Clutch to make Yuni give up. CIMA said that El Lindaman told him about a talented elementary school student training in DDT so he came here to have a look. When CIMA was 16 he spent a month in Mexico on his own. He joked that Yuni can do the same when he gets to that age. When Yuni graduates into a real pro wrestler, CIMA wants to face him again in a DDT ring. He promised this time he will fight Yuni at 120%! He also teased more appearances in DDT thanks to the business relationship between #STRONGHEARTS and DAMNATION.
Akito had the bright idea of loosening some of the corner turnbuckle pads. The plan backfired when Hiroshi Yamato tried to give him a German Suplex. Akito grabbed the turnbuckle to block the move but the loose pad made him slip through his grip and get Suplexed. Yamato went on to win with the Northern Lights Bomb.
At the end of the show Makoto Oishi tried to win the Iron Man Title from Ueno. He failed and ran off. Hirata then got the jump on Ueno and succeeded. Yukio Sakaguchi stood at the entrance gate waiting for Hirata. He chased him into Toru Owashi and Owashi pinned Hirata to end the show as the champion.

Yuni had an eventful day. Soon he will transition from a wrestling child into proper pro wrestling training. The first of his “graduation” matches took place today where he teamed with Nautilus in the main event. Together the trio were named the OSAKA Mirai Monsters. Yuni got stretched a bit by Konosuke Takeshita but the kid got his own back by Double Stomping on his fingers. Takeshita countered a Hurricanrana into the Walls Of Takeshita but Yuni was saved by Yuki Ueno. Yuni then hit Makoto Oishi with the Kamigoye before tagging out. Ueno & Naomi Yoshimura worked on Oishi while Yuni hit a Diving Foot Stomp on Shunma Katsumata. Ueno finished off Oishi with a Blizzard Suplex followed by a Diving Body Press. After the match Nautilus encouraged Yuni to get stronger and hinted that they know who Yuni’s mystery opponent is for one of his two matches tomorrow.
At the end of the show Yuni there was several Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title changes with Yuni ending up as the current champion.
The DDT Extreme Title match was held under KOK (Kawaii Of Kawaii) Rules. Pinfalls would only be counted if the wrestler did a cute pose during the pin. It was up to Yukinori Matsui to determine if the pose was cute or not. The task was easy for Pokotan. Anything the mascot did looked cute so Matsui counted every pin. HARASHIMA on the other hand couldn’t rely on just his handsome smile, he had to do bunny ears and smoochy faces along with it. Pokotan hit a No Rope Topé to the outside then got Danshoku Dieno to scribble marker on HARASHIMA’s face to get rid of his handsome looks. HARASHIMA hit a Shining Wizard, removing Pokotan’s head in the process. Dieno interfered again when HARASHIMA got pushed into Matsui. He attacked HARASHIMA with Pokotan’s head, did the Danshoku Driver and then Pokotan followed up with his own version of the Somato. Matsui got back up but didn’t count the pin because Pokotan’s robot face was exposed. That’s not cute! Pokotan got its head back on but that gave HARASHIMA time to recover and hit the proper Somato. Matsui wouldn’t count the pin because of the marker on HARASHIMA’s face. The solution was to put on Pokotan’s head. Matsui was happy to count from then on.
The first Iron Man Title switch of the day happened when Rina Yamashita beat Saki Akai. The two fought outside the ring and up to the entrance stage. Back in the ring Akai applied a Triangle Choke and still held on to it after Yamashita lifted her up into a Power Bomb. She went for the Quetzalcoatl but Yamashita countered it into a Back Flip. She then used a Lariat to set Akai up for the match ending Splash Mountain. Yamashita doesn’t know why Akai chose her to be in the Okibariyasu series but today she found out they are in sync together. Also she won her first title since becoming a freelancer. She wished Akai the best of luck for the rest of her series.
Mad Paulie got to wear the Hirata GO! glasses and dance after his match.
Tomomitsu Matsunaga’s plan to win today was to throw Akito into another room and lock him out. It didn’t work.
DDT “ROJO PRO WRESTLING IN HANDMADE IN JAPAN FES WINTER (2020)”, 11/01/2020 Tokyo Big Sight West 1.2 Hall ??? Fans
1. Falls Count Anywhere 4 Way Tag Match: Yuki Ueno & Naomi Yoshimura defeated Shunma Katsumata & Yuki Iino, Makoto Oishi & Yukio Naya and MAO & Keigo Nakamura when Yoshimura pinned Nakamura with a Fire Thunder from the stage through a table (32:18).
The stage was set with Hisaya Imabayashi and Pokotan welcoming the audience to DDT’s annual match at the HandMade In Japan Fes. Each team entered with their own weapons like a ladder, chairs and a table. The match started off with basic holds and grappling until it was time to cause some mayhem throughout the rest of the festival.
Naomi Yoshimura lifted Keigo Nakamura up in a Canadian Backbreaker and carried him around for all the fans to see. MAO put Yuki Iino in a Crossface Lock until Yukio Naya broke it up with a Shoulder Tackle. MAO hit back with a Shining Wizard. He then stole Pokotan’s feet and used them as a weapon.
The fighting moved throughout the market area where the wrestlers all put each other in submission holds. When they weren’t wrestling they were checking out all of the goods on sale.
Over in the play area, Nakamura climbed above the vending machines. He wanted to dive onto everyone but thought against it when nobody would get in position below. The others found a playhouse shaped like Mt. Fuji and formed a Headscissors chain through it. Naya then flipped everyone over with a Crab Hold. Yoshimura dragged everyone through the other side to escape.
Iino & Shunma Katsumata took control and piled everyone up in front of Mt. Fuji. Iino did the Haka Elbow onto the pile.
Nakamura found a large blue sphere that he wanted to dive off of. He needed help from the referee to climb it but still slipped off. Yuki Ueno had no trouble climbing the sphere and Moonsaulting off of it.
The match returned to the music area where everyone discovered a castle of chairs was built in front of the stage. Makoto Oishi had it built while Naya stood around as its protector. Iino accidentally charged into it when his attack missed Oishi. This made Oishi cry a lot.
The remains left a pile of chairs waiting to be used as weapons. Katsumata grabbed one but got it kicked into his head by Nakamura. Everybody’s attention then moved over to the ladder. They all fought over the chance to climb it.
Nakamura tried to climb but Iino pulled him down. Iino tried to climb but MAO pulled him down. MAO tried to climb but Oishi pulled him down. Oishi tried to climb… and everyone allowed him to. A reluctant Oishi eventually dived off the ladder.
MAO placed a bunch of chairs together and put Oishi through them with a Package Piledriver. Naya cut off the pin with a Knee Attack to MAO. He then Choke Slammed Oishi onto MAO. Iino did the Spear to Naya but Yoshimura broke up the pin.
Nautilus used their combined strength to give Iino and Double Brainbuster. Katsumata and Ueno fought up to the stage. Katsumata charged Ueno but was given a Back Body Drop off the stage onto everyone below.
Nakamura placed the ladder onto his shoulders and spun around, hitting whoever walked into him. He got on the stage and wanted to climb the ladder again but Nautilus stopped him. Nakamura kicked out of the double team so Ueno set up a table next to the stage. Yoshimura put Nakamura through the table with a Fire Thunder for the three count.
Ueno & Yoshimura addressed the fans after the match then asked if Nakamura was ok. He didn’t move so everyone laughed. They then asked the festival president if DDT can come back next year. He said he would consider it.
