Munetatsu Nakamura is still undergoing rehabilitation for his neck injury. It’s been decided his goal of returning to the ring this month will not happen and he will remain out of action during March. GanPro along with Nakamura’s doctor all want to ensure he is in top condition when he is ready to wrestle again.

DDT “ICHIKABACHIKA 2026”, 11/03/2026
Shinjuku FACE

0. Dark Match – Tokyo Joshi Pro Offer Match: Yuki Kamifuku & Kira Summer Vs Rika Tatsumi & Uta Takami
1. Jun Akiyama & Kazuki Hirata Vs HARASHIMA & Antonio Honda
2. Daisuke Sasaki, Hideki Okatani, MJ Paul & Ilusion Vs Kazuma Sumi, Naomi Yoshimura, Ryota Nakatsu & Yuki Ishida
3. Special 6-Man Tag Match: Shinya Aoki, Junta Miyawaki & Viento Maligno Vs Chris Brookes, Yuni & Hinata Kasai
4. Special 6-Man Tag Match: Shishamo Power, Unagi Mask & Gota Ihashi Vs Yuki Iino, Yukio Naya & Tomomitsu Matsunaga
5. KO-D Tag Team Titles: MAO & KANON (c) (w/ KIMIHIRO) Vs Danshoku Dieno & Super Sasadango Machine
6. KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles: Yuki Ueno, To-y & Kaisei Takechi (c) Vs Takeshi Masada, Yuya Koroku & Daichi Sato

A new unit is developing among the D GENERATIONS wrestlers. Takeshi Masada & Yuya Koroku decided to create a new stable focused on their age group and Daichi Sato agreed to join them. They don’t have a name at the moment so are temporarily being referred to as the New Generation Army. Since they already consist of three people they are going to fight for the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles as their first big challenge. Kaisei Takechi is itching to wrestle again sooner than scheduled so he along with Yuki Ueno & To-y are ready to defend their titles next week.

We’re approaching that time of year when DDT holds sponsored matches with the Yamada Suisan seafood company. That means the return of the masked seafood themed wrestlers Shishamo Power and Unagi Mask. The match also sees Yuki Iino return to action after he’s been away training for his American Football team.

A bonus dark match is being provided by Tokyo Joshi Pro. At the time of writing Rika Tatsumi is still the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Champion. Could the belt be going back home to DDT? Not if she has any say in it. Her goal as the champion is to bring the title all the way to TJPW’s Sumo Hall show at the end of the month.

DDT “JUDGEMENT 2026 ~29TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION 5 HOUR SPECIAL~”, 22/03/2026
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. Special Single Match ~ Shunma Katsumata Return Match: MAO Vs Shunma Katsumata
2. Dramatic Dream Match: KONOSUKE TAKESHITA Vs Kazuki Hirata (w/ John Robinson)
3. DDT Extreme Title: To-y (c) Vs Hideki Okatani
4. DDT Universal Title: Daisuke Sasaki (c) Vs Kazuma Sumi
5. KO-D Openweight Title: Yuki Ueno (c) Vs KANON

If it’s all been fun and games for To-y so far as the DDT Extreme Champion then Hideki Okatani is here to bring an end to it. To-y is gradually approaching the record for most Extreme Title defences in a single reign but Okatani is accusing him of padding out wins by only fighting old washed up wrestlers. To-y argues against that because some of his challengers so far have been from their own generation too.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “GRAND PRINCESS ’26”, 29/03/2026
Tokyo Ryogoku Kokugikan

1. Mizuki Vs Andreza Giant Panda
2. Shoko Nakajima, Yuki Aino & Haru Kazashiro (w/ Super Sentai) Vs Aja Kong, Max The Impaler & Pom Harajuku
3. Special Tag Match: Yuka Sakazaki & KONOSUKE TAKESHITA Vs Hyper Misao & Super Sasadango Machine
4. International Princess Title: MIRAI (c) Vs Suzume
5. Princess Tag Team Titles: Yuki Kamifuku & Wakana Uehara (c) Vs Jessie McKay & Cassie Lee
6. Princess Of Princess Title: Miu Watanabe (c) Vs Yuki Arai

Apparently TJPW went and did it. They struck a deal to have something Super Sentai related to show up at Sumo Hall and be involved with the ToJo Tokusatsu Club’s match. At least I think that is what’s happening. I’m confused because I thought the TV show just ended recently to be replaced with a similar substitute for reasons that involve the studio moving on from a copyright deadlock. I guess we’ll find out at Sumo Hall what the Super Sentai collaboration will look like. Maybe the Tokusatsu Club gets to morph into their own Super Sentai outfits before they go out and fight Pompaler & Aja Kong. Actually they should go full Kaiju Big Battel and have the ring filled with small cardboard buildings for everyone to smash and slam each other on.

The Tokusatsu Club recently completed their “fireball return” training but since fire was absolutely prohibited, they ended up doing batting practice with Tetsu Inada instead. There are updates for some of the other Super Sasadango Machine PR tasks to catch up on. The roster has spent the last few days putting up posters for the show around Tokyo. Minimo-chan has taken up weight training for its debut match. Shino Suzuki is finding more and more influencers to challenge for games of Rock Paper Scissors but has only beaten one opponent so far. She has to keep doing this until she beats two more.

Sasadango has also come up with more challenges for the wrestlers who haven’t been given any tasks yet. He has asked Shion Kanzaki to hold a street performance in the heart of Shinjuku. Meanwhile Miyu Yamashita was told to take on intensive idol training.

DDT Around The World – February 2026

March 1, 2026

Phew! Finally made it through the month with a lot more clearer pictures to look at. Konosuke Takeshita has moved on from the Kazuchika Okada feud to become a focal point in the rivalry between The Don Callis Family and the Death Riders. Takeshita against Jon Moxley is the destination while bringing in a variety of wrestlers for some good trios bouts in the process. I’ve been happy watching this feud so far because the matches have been constantly good and highlighting some of the AEW wrestlers I really like. However Okada is still making moves in the background because he might have just stolen Takeshita’s tag partner! He only just formed ProtOkada with Kyle Fletcher this past week which should eventually add another layer to Takeshita’s story with The Family.

Next up we go to Tokyo Joshi Pro and their ever increasing international schedule. After a lot of hullabaloo that had driven me crazy, the return to Las Vegas was finally confirmed to be real. That can be added to the Texas tour, the Vancouver tour and also a show in Italy all coming up in the next couple of months (and maybe more). With that being said, the ticket sales for the Texas tour so far look dismal from what people can find online and the savvy marketing work done by Tokyo Story USA is almost nowhere to be seen this time around. We may be due some harsh lessons this time around, like how maybe last year’s success really did just come from holding the shows next to a big destination wrestling event.

Elsewhere this month some of the TJPW wrestlers have lost their championships. Shoko Nakajima and K!SS// went on their travels and came back home missing their titles. Things fared better for the DDT wrestlers when it comes to gaining or keeping their gold. Now heading into March we have Miyu Yamashita embarking on another excursion, WrestleMania Week all of a sudden getting stuffed with TJPW appearances to look forward to and Daisuke Sasaki is off to North America for a while.

Results

AEW “DYNAMITE”, 04/02/2026
Pearl Theater At Palms Casino Resort, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

1. Konosuke Takeshita, Josh Alexander & El Clon defeated Jon Moxley, PAC & Daniel Garcia (w/ Marina Shafir) when Takeshita pinned Garcia with the Raging Fire (13:18).

The current storyline Takeshita is in is a stable war going on between The Don Callis Family and the Death Riders that’s become the backbone of AEW’s mid-card on TV. He and Moxley had plenty of battles against each other this month in 6-Man Tags. Takeshita scored first blood when he teamed with Josh Alexander & El Clon (the evil doppelganger of Hologram) to beat Moxley, PAC & Daniel Garcia. Things could have gone the other way when Garcia put Takeshita in the Dragon Tamer (Sharpshooter) submission hold and Moxley then Curb Stomped him. But Alexander broke the pin and Takeshita got his wind back to slam Garcia. Tandem trios moves from The Family couldn’t keep Garcia down until Takeshita dropped him with the Raging Fire.

MLW “LUCHA APOCALYPTO”, 07/02/2026
Cicero Stadium, Cicero, Illinois, USA

1. MLW Women’s World Featherweight Title: Shotzi Blackheart defeated Shoko Nakajima (c) (?:??).
*Shoko Nakajima fails in V7. Shotzi Blackheart becomes the 6th MLW Women’s World Featherweight Champion!

By the time this is posted, all I know about this MLW taping is Shoko Nakajima lost the MLW Women’s World Featherweight Title to Shotzi Blackheart. Since then there hasn’t been a word about when the match will air. MLW are really taking their time putting their next batch of episodes together.

AEW “DYNAMITE”, 11/02/2026
Toyota Arena, Ontario, California, USA

1. Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli & PAC (w/ Marina Shafir) defeated Konosuke Takeshita, Josh Alexander & Mark Davis when Moxley pinned Alexander with the Death Rider (15:05).

The next trios match had Claudio Castagnoli replacing Garcia and Mark Davis switching in for El Clon. This time Moxley was in danger of losing the match to the teamwork of The Family until PAC came to the rescue. Castagnoli cut off Takeshita with a European Uppercut, giving Moxley the opening to catch Alexander in a Read Naked Choke, wearing him down enough to give him the Death Rider for the victory.

AEW “GRAND SLAM AUSTRALIA”, 14/02/2026
Qudos Bank Arena, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia

1. AEW Continental Title: Jon Moxley (c) Vs Konosuke Takeshita ended in a Time Limit Draw (20:00).
*V1 for Jon Moxley.

When it was finally time for Moxley and Takeshita to settle their differences one on one in Australia, time wound up running out for them. With the AEW Continental Title on the line, rules were strictly in place to make sure no interference would be allowed. It ended up going to a stalemate. Moxley giving Takeshita a Curb Stomp onto the apron didn’t keep him out of the ring long enough to get counted out. Neither the Powerdrive Knee or the Wrist-Clutch Exploder Suplex was enough to pin Moxley for a three count. Takeshita kicked out of the Death Rider and the two continued throwing bombs at each other until the bell rang. Takeshita was seconds away from performing the Raging Fire so he went ahead and did it anyway after the match was over.

AEW “HOUSE RULES AUSTRALIA”, 15/02/2026
Brisbane Entertainment Centre, Boondall, Queensland, Australia

1. Konosuke Takeshita (w/ Don Callis) defeated Dalton Castle with the Powerdrive Knee (10:47).

Brisbane had extra action for Takeshita during his stay there. AEW ran a rare house show the next day and Takeshita was on it wrestling Dalton Castle for the first time ever. Before the match began Don Callis had Castle’s buddies The Outrunners sent away from ringside because they did not have a manager’s license recognized by the state of Australia. Callis got some cheap shots in on Castle at ringside while the crowds chanted bald jokes at him. Castle fought his way back to give Takeshita the Bangarang for a nearfall but a well timed Elbow Strike gave Takeshita the momentum needed to eventually win the match.

SETUP “REAL GLOBAL IMPACT”, 21/02/2026
The Circus Studio, G Village, Bangkok, Thailand

1. IWA Japan SETUP World Tag Team Titles: Monomoth & Matcha defeated Miyu Yamashita & Kaya Toribami (c) when Matcha pinned Toribami with the Saito Suplex (12:41).
*K!SS// fails in V2. Monomoth & Matcha become the 6th IWA Japan SETUP World Tag Team Champions!
2. IWA Japan SETUP World Title: Shivam (c) Vs Chris Brookes ended in a Time Limit Draw (20:00).
*V2 for Shivam.

There were two big title matches to follow over in Thailand for SETUP this month. Chris Brookes challenged Shivam for the IWA Japan SETUP World Title despite both men belonging to the same group, Real Global Threat. In a result that became something of a trend for a lot of title matches I’m writing about in this article, the match latest the full twenty minute time limit and went to a draw. Brookes demanded a restart and called Pumi Boonyatud into the ring to make it happen. But it was all a trap so Brookes could knock out Pumi with a slap! Shivam then got on the microphone to praise Brookes for caring about pro wrestlers like him before attacking Pumi some more until Monomoth ran them out of the ring.

Meanwhile Miyu Yamashita & Kaya Toribami’s reign as IWA Japan SETUP World Tag Team Champions has come to an end. K!SS// went to Thailand for a big title defence against SETUP’s other two singles champions Monomoth & Matcha. Both teams fought their hardest over the titles until it came down to Toribami against Matcha in the ring. Yamashita dealt with Monomoth by Skull Kicking him off the ring apron but Toribami’s attempt at the Sento Choryu was blocked by Matcha’s knees. Matcha then fought to give Toribami the Saito Suplex, pinning her while a dazed Monomoth held onto Yamashita long enough to prevent her from breaking the count. K!SS// accepted defeat and shook hands with the new champions after the match.

AEW “COLLISION”, 21/02/2026
Frontwave Arena, Oceanside, California, USA

1. Konosuke Takeshita, Mark Davis & El Clon defeated Jon Moxley, PAC & Wheeler Yuta (w/ Marina Shafir) when Takeshita pinned Yuta with the Raging Fire (14:33).

Since nothing was solved in Australia, the feud between The Family and the Death Riders continued with more 6-Man Tag Matches. Wheeler Yuta was now brought into the fold wrestling in a beanie hat because he recently lost his hair in a wager match. Also Marina Shafir was now getting into the thick of things. She’s been at ringside for most of the matches in this feud and got physically involved this time to stop Davis from using a chair. Yuta was enthusiastic to try and get the win on Takeshita until he was hit with a Pump Kick followed by the Elbow Strike. El Clon wiped out the rest of the Death Riders, allowing Takeshita to pin Yuta with the Raging Fire. Moxley confronted him after the match and thanks to others trying to get in the way, he caught Takeshita off guard and gave him the Paradigm Shift.

PPW/BZW “FRIDAY NIGHT BANGER”, 27/02/2026
PPW Training Facility, Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England

1. BZW Tag Team Titles: MAO & Yoshihiko (c) defeated Liam Slater & HMD (?:??).
*V7 for MAO & Yoshihiko.

It’s been so long since I last heard about the BZW Tag Team Titles that I wasn’t sure if MAO & Yoshihiko were still the champions. Turns out they are and they travelled all the way to England for their latest defence. MAO was over there to take part in training seminars and brought Yoshihiko over so they could wrestle on a show co-promoted by BZW and Pursuit Pro Wrestling. They defeated Liam Slater & HMD to retain the gold.

NJPW “THE NEW BEGINNING”, 27/02/2026
CURE Insurance Arena, Trenton, New Jersey, USA

1. NJPW World TV Title: El Phantasmo (c) Vs KONOSUKE TAKESHITA (w/ Rocky Romero) ended in a Time Limit Draw (15:00).
1a. Overtime: KONOSUKE TAKESHITA defeated El Phantasmo (c) with the Raging Fire (2:43).
*El Phantasmo fails in V7. KONOSUKE TAKESHITA becomes the 10th NJPW World TV Champion!

Another title match and another time limit draw for Takeshita. Although this time he got a chance to make up for it. New Japan returned to America with a fresh attempt at running a big show in the country. Having El Phantasmo and Takeshita go at it with the NJPW World TV Title again was one of the big bouts of the show. They pretty much played the hits until ELP gave Takeshita a taste of his own medicine by using the Raging Fire on him! However the bell rang right afterwards to announce the match ended in a tie. ELP got on the microphone and talked about how much time limit draws suck and demanded the match to restart for another five minutes. Takeshita considered walking out with Rocky Romero next to him but turned around and got the match going again. This time Takeshita gave ELP the CR II, using the champion’s own finisher against him. ELP kicked out and snuck in a Crucifix Pin for a nearfall but Takeshita hit back and won the match with the Raging Fire. Now a champion in NJPW again, Takeshita thinks the company wants him to raise the value of the NJPW World TV Title.

Horseshoe, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

1. International Tag Team Match: Amira & Lil Marz Vs Toga & Jazzy Yang

The big clue this month that TJPW was going to Vegas came from Toga unexpectedly got booked for the eighth annual “PODER~!” show that is put together by Edward Loredo, aka “Ed In San Antonio” of F4W Board infamy. Toga is going to team with Jazzy Yang, the daughter of Jimmy Wang Yang. Together they will take on Amira from America and Lil Marz from Australia for an international tag showcase.

Pearl Theater At Palms Casino Resort, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

Ta-da! It was happening all along! TJPW adds even more to their growing international schedule by going back to Las Vegas for Mania Weekend. This time instead of working with The Collective, they have joined a new collection of shows called Slam Fest that is being put together by the Paragon Talent Agency. The move keeps the show at Palms Casino and now has TJPW siding with Stardom, CMLL, House Of Glory and MLP for the week. I doubt we’re going to see any significant crossovers but you never know when it comes to events like this.

The Japanese talent coming to Vegas are Miu Watanabe, Yuki Kamifuku, Wakana Uehara, Miyu Yamashita, Shoko Nakajima, Mizuki, Hyper Misao, Raku, Yuki Aino, Suzume, Pom Harajuku, Yuki Arai, Kaya Toribami, Shino Suzuki, HIMAWARI, Toga and Uta Takami.

El Desperado is hosting another “Invitacional” show, continuing the death match theme of the previous one and also bringing it to America for the first time. The first couple of wrestlers announced are from Japan, the latest of whom being Daisuke Sasaki! There’s also been a hint from Mizuki Watase that he might be on the card too because he recently said he will be travelling to USA in April to wrestle in a death match.

GCW “JOSH BARNETT’S BLOODSPORT XV”, 17/04/2026

Miyu Yamashita was in for a shock when she made her Baka Gaijin + Friends debut. Antonio Honda told her before the main event they they would fight in the dreaded Wasabi Cream Puff Death Match! After every two count fall, the wrestler who was pinned must eat a random cream puff taken from a pan. If it turns out to be a cream puff filled with wasabi (and everyone will be able to tell very easily by the reaction), the wrestler will lose. The environment reminded Yamashita of her early days as a wrestler fighting in small idol concert venues. So when Honda wound himself up for the Bionic Elbow, Yamashita joined in by doing her old Dschinghis Khan dance (the Berryz Kobo version). After a few close calls, the match unexpectedly ended in a draw when Honda and Yamashita tied each other up in a Backslide Pin and both were pinned. They then each ate a cream puff and immediately fled out of the room in despair because it turned out there was wasabi in both of them!

Even though Munek was unable to wrestle due to injury, he still wanted Ueki’s Magic Kingdom to find a princess and hold them hostage. They were easily stopped by the other team. So Dark King Ueki quickly summoned a new ally, an ape named Square Kong! The newcomer went on a rampage until Mr. Bueno slapped him with his glove over and over. Bueno then made his team form a Gundam with Chie Koishikawa so the Magic Kingdom did the same with Princess Ram on top. The Gundam duel went well for Bueno’s team until Munek cast an invisible carrier for them to walk into. At one point during the match Mr. Malo had his poncho pulled over his head. When it was taken off he had is black mask back on and he started fighting his opponents like a rudo. Meanwhile Ueki & Kong ate bananas to power themselves up during the match, including a star banana that Munek gave to Kong that made him strong enough to pull out a barrel and attack the others with it! Bueno & Koishikawa used the barrel against Kong to wipe him out. The match then reached its end when Bueno & Malo did an assisted Codebreaker double team move called the Mexico Vacation onto Ueki.

In some of Kota Sekifuda’s previous Baka Gaijin appearances he would bring along his pet snake to use in his matches. However yesterday he was booked for an All Japan show and they banned him from bringing his snake along, which meant he wasn’t able to bring the snake over to this show either. It resulted in his match with HARASHIMA being a more serious back and forth with both men chopping each other’s chests red. Sekifuda used an Overhead Kick on HARASHIMA but the roll up afterwards ended up with HARASHIMA getting back to his feet and hitting a short range Somato. He then ran across the room to hit a more traditional Somato for the victory.

The big match of the day was put in the opening bout position. Chris Brookes had wanted to wrestle Yuta Oya after hearing the story of him becoming a pro wrestler despite being completely blind. Given the small space of the venue, Oya was capable of fighting Brookes from close range so his lack of sight was not a detriment. He had Chop exchanges with Brookes and got to slam him onto the floor a few times too. Oya also took some Penalty Kicks before catching one so he could Lariat Brookes for a nearfall. Brookes almost beat him with a Piledriver and had to wrap himself around Oya with the Octopus Hold, pulling him down into the House Piano Death until Daisuke Kiso called for the bell and stopped the match. Brookes told everyone that Oya did not give up just like Oya has not given up in life. Oya said he will be going back to wrestle in Nagoya and he will keep training so he can come back to wrestle in Tokyo again.

At the end of the show Brookes had an announcement to make. Today was Sekifuda’s last appearance in Baka Gaijin + Friends! Sekifuda was confused and asked what did Brookes mean by that? Brookes said Sekifuda has lost all of his matches since coming here and isn’t popular judging by how much merch he sells at shows. Brookes also took offence to Sekifuda acting like he is part of the group by pretending he was gifted a Baka Gaijin hoodie when he really just bought one online! Honda assured Sekifuda that as a freelancer he has the ability to respond to this in his own way. Sekifuda decided he will run his own produced show on 19th June in Itabashi! He then asked if he could book Brookes on the show as a way of thanking him for the Baka Gaijin bookings. Brookes doesn’t want to do it alone so he agreed to it if Honda gets booked too. Sekifuda accepted and already knows what match to book. Brookes & Honda will face Hideyoshi Kamitani & Daichi Hashimoto in a battle between FANTÔMES DRAMATIC and Big Japan! Brookes was happy with the idea and decided Sekifuda will be allowed back into Baka Gaijin.

The next Baka Gaijin show will take place on 17th March as a joint show with Evil Uno and Mystery Wrestling.

So in the future TJPW will be looking for another venue in Kobe to host Mizuki’s homecoming shows. Somehow I don’t expect the Ring Soul bar to be among the options.

The International Princess Title scene gathers together for an important preview match. The current champion MIRAI is hanging around for a while and is teaming with her previous challenger Toga. On the other team is MIRAI’s next challenger Suzume along with her Daisy Monkey partner and former champion Arisu Endo.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “GRAND PRINCESS ’26”, 29/03/2026
Tokyo Ryogoku Kokugikan

1. Special Tag Match: Yuka Sakazaki & KONOSUKE TAKESHITA Vs Hyper Misao & Super Sasadango Machine

3. Princess Tag Team Titles: Yuki Kamifuku & Wakana Uehara (c) Vs Jessie McKay & Cassie Lee
4. Princess Of Princess Title: Miu Watanabe (c) Vs Yuki Arai

Well, Ober Eats said they wanted to face a tag team that are a big deal. They also said they want to have the best match on the show and er… yeah… it’s nice to want things. Anyway TJPW went and got The IInspiration to be Yuki Kamifuku & Wakana Uehara’s next challengers for the Princess Tag Team Titles. The Australian pair of Jessie McKay & Cassie Lee were known as The IIconics in WWE before going to TNA with the name change. They won the women’s tag team championships in both companies and just recently signed a deal with AEW so they match the requirements Ober Eats were looking for.

The mascot Minimo-chan spent Monday training with Mahiro Kiryu for its upcoming pro wrestling debut. Super Sasadango Machine gave Minimo-chan the task of learning a special move but Kiryu was sceptical over the mascot’s ability to wrestle. Minimo-chan proved her wrong by running the ropes, doing Wrist Locks and even performing a Side Thrust Kick to the ribs with ease. It then told Kiryu that with this kick it will win its debut match in Sumo Hall! An interview was held after training where Minimo-chan revealed it used to watch All Japan VHS tapes over and over until they all wore out. Its favorite wrestlers are Steve Williams, Doug Furnas and Dan Kroffat. Minimo-chan also aims to eventually fight for a championship!

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “TJPW INSPIRATION”, 18/04/2026
TOKYO SQUARE In Itabashi

How curious. The next TJPW Inspiration show will feature Rika Tatsumi, Mahiro Kiryu, Arisu Endo, Haru Kazashiro, Mifu Ashida, Kira Summer, Chika Nanase, Ren Konatsu and Shion Kanzaki on the card along with three guest wrestlers. While this is going on Miyu Yamashita, Shoko Nakajima, Hyper Misao, Yuki Aino and Toga will be in Las Vegas for Wrestlemania Weekend. Yamashita and Toga already have match bookings but the other three are so far only advertised for a meet and greet at WrestleCon. The mystery continues.

1. Toga defeated Shion Kanzaki with a Face Lock (6:12).
2. Sara Phoenix defeated Mahiro Kiryu with the Dracarys (7:40).
3. MAX HEART After The Final: Yuki Arai, Mifu Ashida, Kira Summer & Chika Nanase defeated Mizuki, Uta Takami, HIMAWARI & Shino Suzuki when Arai pinned Suzuki with the Modified Brainbuster (10:02).
4. MAX HEART Beyond The Bracket: Miu Watanabe & Rika Tatsumi defeated Yuki Aino & Haru Kazashiro when Tatsumi submitted Kazashiro with the White Dragon Sleeper (11:39).
5. MAX HEART Beyond The Bracket: Suzume & Arisu Endo defeated Max The Impaler & Pom Harajuku when Suzume pinned Harajuku with the Ring A Bell (9:01).
6. MAX HEART After The Final: Yuki Kamifuku, Wakana Uehara, Miyu Yamashita & Kaya Toribami defeated Shoko Nakajima, Hyper Misao, Raku & Ren Konatsu when Kamifuku submitted Konatsu with the Shonandai Manji (12:41).

Hyper Misao went all out with her battle plan for the main event before Ober Eats & K!SS// made their entrances. She told Shoko Nakajima to blind Kaya Toribami by placing Raku’s sleep mask over her eyes while she and Raku wrap up Miyu Yamashita in Raku’s blanket. Then Ren Konatsu was told to place along a trail of bread from the ring to the locker room to lure Wakana Uehara out of the arena. That would leave Yuki Kamifuku alone to fight by herself and even then Misao planned to use her cape to cover over Kamiyu’s face. Kamiyu was stuck in a 1 Vs 4 situation until she successfully called Uehara back to the ring while K!SS// broke free of their traps. From there the match went into a more normal 4 Vs 4 layout and Ober Eats got the victory by trapping Konatsu & Raku in their submission holds. After the match Yamashita apologised for accidentally kicking Kamifuku during the match (Kamifuku stomped on Yamashita while she was stuck in the blanket and suspects Yamashita knew it was her), Uehara apologised for eating the bread and Toribami didn’t understand why everyone on her team was arguing with each other because she was blind during those moments.

The Dracarys that was used by Sara Phoenix to win her match is a Flying Codebreaker from the top rope.

7. International Princess Title: MIRAI (c) defeated Toga with the Lariat (10:24).
*V1 for MIRAI.
8. “Futari wa Princess” Max Heart Tournament – Final: Yuki Kamifuku & Wakana Uehara defeated Mizuki & Uta Takami when Uehara pinned Takami with the Sushi Tornado (14:25).

It took until the sixth year for the reigning Princess Tag Team Champions to go all the way and win the Max Heart Tournament for the first time ever. Ober Eats now have that bragging right after defeating Mizuki & Uta Takami in today’s final. As the match broke down into a frantic finish, Mizuki sacrificed herself to pull Takami out of the way from a step-up elevated Big Boot by Ober Eats and take the blow by herself. Her last heroic act was to counter a Double Flapjack into a Double Stomp that landed on both Yuki Kamifuku & Wakana Uehara. Takami tried to end things by putting Uehara into the Koala Clutch but Uehara fought out of it with a Snap Suplex and rolled Takami into the Sushi Tornado to win the match.

After the match Kamifuku got on the microphone and brought up the criticisms Ober Eats get for being the Princess Tag Champions. She remembers there were comments about hoe it was too soon for them to win the belts and Uehara wasn’t ready to be in that position yet. Then Kamifuku admitted those were actually her own opinions and she apologised to Uehara because she proved her wrong. Uehara knows her tag partner wasn’t always excited about them challenging for the titles but she is grateful to fight alongside her the entire time. Now Ober Eats are looking forward to “GRAND PRINCESS ’26” where Kamifuku wants to defend the tag titles against a team that surpasses them in every way from coolness and sexiness to the amount of social media followers they have. Uehara promised the fans that Ober Eats will deliver the best match to them at Sumo Hall on 29th March! Backstage Kamifuku gave some examples of the kind of challengers they want to fight. They need to be on the level of Suzu Hirose, Britney Spears, Nicki Manaj, Mana Ashida or Vivian Hsu. Takami is still happy with the overall experience despite losing because she created so many miracles with Mizuki. She doesn’t think they are finished making miracles yet either. Mizuki said she wants them to work hard together so when they challenge for the tag titles and win them, they will finally decide on a team name. Mizuki also said she always respected Kamifuku and now they have definitely become rivals.

This International Princess Title reign that MIRAI is going through is starting to turn into Tokyo Joshi Pro Vs Michinoku Pro in a way. The champion was again accompanied by Michinoku Pro wrestlers for her match, this time the pair of seconds at ringside were Yapper Man #1 & Yapper Man #2 (the masked gimmicks Speed Of Sounds use over there). The challenger Toga did invite her Hot Shot tag partner Yuna Manase to attend the show but she watched in the crowd since Toga’s title shot in the first place came from her wanting to take on a big challenge all by herself. Her right arm was targeted by MIRAI but she was able to hit her big Elbow Smash with it. But MIRAI got to pulled her down into the MIRAI☆Lock to make Toga fight for a rope break. Toga was then given an Olympic Slam for a nearfall before throwing back another Elbow Strike. MIRAI absorbed the blow and hit back with a Lariat to win the match.

MIRAI praised Toga after the match for being really strong and showing sides that MIRAI never knew she had. She’s impressed given this was Toga’s first time challenging for a singles championship. She encouraged Toga to keep finding herself step by step and they can then fight again some day. MIRAI then switched to talking about defending the IP Title at Sumo Hall, something she previously put out there without telling Tetsuya Koda. She already has an opponent in mind and wants to challenge her right here. It’s Suzume! The two were classmates in TJPW and even teamed up as BeeStar. Since then they both found their own ways to become stronger but Suzume admits she wouldn’t be who she is today without MIRAI. However she doesn’t want this match to happen just because of their history together. The IP Title is precious to her and she will fight to hold it again. Meanwhile MIRAI promises to bring the fight to her while carrying the weight of Michinoku Pro on her shoulders!

As we get closer to 29th March, things are getting a little more serious between Miu Watanabe and Yuki Arai. The two have the big Princess Of Princess Title match to look forward to but if things continue like they did today there’s the risk one of them might not make it to Sumo Hall. The two fought each other on the ring apron during their tag match, both aiming to use one of their signature moves on each other. Arai won out and used the Full Nelson Buster to throw Watanabe to the floor! Watanabe was able to get back in the ring before the 20 count and had Rika Tatsumi there to help by giving Arai the Twist Of Fate to get rid of her. Watanabe got to recover from the scary bump and pinned Mifu Ashida with the Tear Drop to get Daydream the victory. Watanabe took it as a good preview for “GRAND PRINCESS ’26” while Tatsumi got a sense of how dangerous Arai really is, although she hasn’t figured out if this is the kind of “madness” that Super Sasadango Machine told her to go search for. Over at Kyoto Tag, Ashida was upset over losing the match because she could really feel Arai’s desire to win. Even giving her a Valentine’s Day cheer during the match didn’t work. Arai assured her they will still team together and Ashida will continue to be part of Arai’s future plans. Arai also doesn’t regret giving Watanabe the Full Nelson Buster from the ring apron to the floor. She needed to do something big against her and in the moment knew just slamming her onto the ring apron would have put herself in harm’s way with the drop to the floor.

Suzume’s day was spent teaming up with Arisu Endo to take on Shoko Nakajima & Sara Phoenix. The guest from Chile got plenty of opportunity to go at it against Daisy Monkey while Nakajima remains a tricky opponent for the team to overcome. A bridging Regal Plex almost resulted in Phoenix pinning Suzume but Endo broke the pin at the last second. Phoenix then missed a Missile Dropkick, allowing Suzume to give her a Rope Walk Facebuster followed by the Ring A Bell to get the win.

For the second month in a row, Aja Kong has won the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title at a TJPW Korakuen Hall show! She got to keep it this time too. Mahiro Kiryu needed all of the encouragement she could gather to fight Kong but it led to some setbacks. She had the werewithal to use the Iron Man Title belt as a weapon to counteract Kong’s steel can and even attempted to guard herself from an attack. But Kong paused long enough for Kiryu to drop her guard to get the headshot in anyway. Kiryu found someway to get in control and even roll up Kong for a nearfall. But Kong kicked out and gave Kiryu a slap before pinning her with the Back Drop to win the title. Backstage Kong said in the end the belt chooses her so she’s not going to leave anytime soon. Kiryu then confronted Kong alongside her lookalike Kakeru Sekiguchi and a referee. Sekiguchi spoke for Kiryu and moved her around like a puppet but it was only so Kong would be distracted for Kiryu to roll her up. The plan didn’t work and neither did the twin magic trick. Kong ran both of them off and currently remains the champion.

If Max The Impaler had their way, Pompaler would have teamed with Yuki Aino instead of Raku today. That didn’t happen because the entire point of the other team was so Aino could get Yukiniki and Shunrai Rekka!! Prism Greed to join forces for one day only. The match went ahead as planned and Max threw Pom Harajuku at the opposition after Ryo Mizunami dared to throw a Chop at Harajuku. Raku used her pillow to block Mizunami’s Chop but Max had enough of the shenanigans and threw the pillow away. Aino later got to do her double team moves with both Mizunami & Haru Kazashiro on the way to beating Harajuku with the Venus DDT.

Because today is Valentine’s Day, Hyper Misao wanted to confess her feelings to someone special by giving Miyu Yamashita some chocolates as a gift. However Chika Nanase interrupted her because she wanted to give Yamashita chocolate too. Kira Summer also had chocolates for Yamashita as did Kakeru Sekiguchi who explained she suddenly had a case of love at first sight. Yamashita thanked all of them but couldn’t accept anyone’s chocolate because she loves them all as TJPW’s Leader. It then turned out to be a trap by Misao’s team so they could jump Yamashita while her guard was down. Misao blinded Shino Suzuki with her Hero Spray while Sekiguchi fought with Kaya Toribami. Misao later led her team in a train attack on HIMAWARI but Suzuki came to the rescue so Bumping gRitters could take down Nanase together. That cleared the ring for HIMAWARI to pin Nanase with the Sunflower Tempest.

The opening match was a chance for Ren Konatsu and Shion Kanzaki fight over who would get their first singles win as a wrestler. Konatsu was able to fight out of a Sleeper Hold and get herself up to the middle rope. From there she did a hop onto the top rope that launched her into hitting a Missile Dropkick on Konatsu. That was enough for a three count and Konatsu got her first win eight months after her debut. She came up with the move because she’s been using sheep-like movements along with some trampolining practice and wanted to combine the two ideas together. Kanzaki was feeling upset because she felt like she couldn’t do anything against Konatsu. It makes her wonder how long it will take for her to catch up when she currently feels like she is at her limit. She promised to practice even harder after this.

6. Mizuki, Shino Suzuki & Uta Takami defeated Yuki Kamifuku, Wakana Uehara & Ren Konatsu when Takami submitted Konatsu with the Koala Clutch (12:06).
7. Shoko Nakajima, Yuki Aino & Haru Kazashiro defeated Yuki Arai, HIMAWARI & Toga when Nakajima pinned HIMAWARI with the Diving Senton (14:46).

Niigata’s own Shoko Nakajima led the ToJo Tokusatsu Club to victory despite the setback of failing to combine into one Megazord several times throughout the match. After picking up the win, Nakajima told everyone a story about the time she went to the Tokamachi Snow Festival as a child and she along with her siblings got to meet the heroes from Gekisou Sentai Carranger. She still keeps the group photo they took in her home back in Tokyo and it is something she treasures. She’s been worried about her family back here because of the heavy snowfall this year and wants to become a hero to be a source of inspiration for everyone to keep working harder. The ToJo Tokusatsu Club don’t borrow the power of heroes, they fight alongside them!

In a preview of this Saturday’s Max Heart Tournament final, Mizuki & Uta Takami got the better of Ober Eats in a 6-Woman Tag Match. Mizuki landed a Diving Cross Body onto Wakana Uehara and then helped Takami take down Yuki Kamifuku with a Dropkick. Ren Konatsu tried to beat Takami using different roll ups but Takami Dropkicked her as well and made Konatsu give up to the Koala Clutch. She later declared that a girl from the Hokuriku region has conquered the land of snow! Mizuki said she doesn’t normally believe in momentum but she can really feel there is a lot of it behind Takami. Shino Suzuki is also thrilled to have teamed with them again and be on the winning team today. Kamifuku encouraged Uehara by telling her the most important thing today is she worked hard. It’s all about being able to help each other, which was proven when Kamifuku forgot to bring her kneepads today and needed to borrow a pair from Shion Kanzaki. Uehara said she loved the warm atmosphere in the building today and she wants to bring it with her all the way to Korakuen Hall.

Before Pompaler made their entrance for Match #4, Hyper Misao got on the microphone to tell Chika Nanase what their gameplan will be. Misao admits Pompaler are too experienced of a tag team for a first time pairing to beat so she asked Super Sasadango Machine to give her some sasadango treats to distract Max The Impaler with. Then they could double team Pom Harajuku and throw her at Max for once. The plan didn’t work well enough. Max fell for the distraction but easily caught Harajuku when she was thrown at them. Max then threw Harajuku at the other team but they both dodged out of the way and Sasadango took the impact instead. Max went on to pin Nanase with the Short-Range Lariat and proceeded to take her scrunchie as a trophy.

An alliance between Raku and Mahiro Kiryu was unable to stop Miyu Yamashita from becoming the new Iron Man Heavymetalweight Champion. She hit Raku with the Return Crash then pinned Kiryu with the Skull Kick for the victory. Later after the show there was a fan event that featured the roster competing in different games. One of them was a challenge where several wrestlers all tried to pause a stopwatch at exactly the ten second mark. Whoever got the closest time would be the winner. Since Yamashita took part in it that meant the Iron Man Title was put on the line. The ring announcer Rise Shirai ended up winning the contest to become the new champion. Then later in the event everyone surprised Shion Kanzaki by giving her a cake for her birthday. While they were all celebrating, Kiryu attacked Shirai in front of everybody and used the stopwatch’s cord to choke her into submission. The referee called it a title change but decided the Stopwatch was now the champion! Kiryu then grabbed the Stopwatch, ran away to an empty room where only the referee could follow her and she pinned it to become the champion again.

Sasadango was at the event as the PR Ambassador for “GRAND PRINCESS ’26”. The last time he was at a TJPW show he gave some people challenges to help promote the Sumo Hall show. Today he was looking to get some updates along with giving out more marketing ideas for the roster to take part in. He heard about the ToJo Tokusatsu Club’s request to fight alongside the Super Sentai. He told them that CyberFight actually are working hard on trying to make a collaboration happen but it will be a challenge to make it a reality. So in the meantime he instructed the Club to take part in secret training to prepare for Sumo Hall. Sasadango then asked Tetsuya Koda if there was any progress in him finding a big celebrity to wrestle on the show. He had to remind Koda that this task is seperate from the Super Sentai one. That made Koda admit he’s made zero progress and he doesn’t know where to start. Sasadango told Koda if he can’t do this task then they might as well cancel “GRAND PRINCESS ’26” and nobody wants that to happen. According to Sasadango, if Koda looks hard enough he can find 20 people who are famous enough to fill Sumo Hall by themselves.

When Sasadango was done with catching up on the current challenges, he went to find Rika Tatsumi so he could give her one too. He approached Daydream after they won their tag match and asked Tatsumi what is her most unique quality? Tatsumi said she is a classic idol wrestler but Sasadango corrected her. Her best quality is her madness! Tatsumi refused to believe him but Sasadango brought up how she always strangles her opponents and he doesn’t understand why everyone in Tokyo Joshi Pro ignores it. His challenge to Tatsumi is to hone the insanity inside herself to help liven up Sumo Hall! Tatsumi needs to face the madness within herself but she doesn’t understand what Sasadango means by that. She isn’t a psychopath and she wants to prove it by shaking Sasadango’s hand. But as the handshake was happening, Sasadango encouraged her to try and strangle him. She wouldn’t so he simply told her to do her best and then left. Tatsumi doesn’t know what to do about this. Miu Watanabe however is looking forward to seeing what side of Tatsumi everyone will see at Sumo Hall, the classic idol wrestler or the psychopath?

DDT Around The World – January 2026

February 1, 2026

New year, new expansion plans. Let’s cut straight to the chase. Tokyo Joshi Pro is putting together quite an international schedule for this Spring. They already have the Texas tour set up, they just announced a weekend doubleheader in Vancouver and right on the buzzer last night it was announced there is an interpromotional show happening in Italy soon too with rumours that another show of that type could be happening elsewhere in Europe around that time period (my money’s on EVE). If that’s not enough there is a “will they, won’t they” story about Las Vegas this year that I’m trying to pinpoint just what exactly is going on. Miyu Yamashita going on her yearly overseas excursion will help things move along nicely.

What else is there? Konosuke Takeshita is still in The Don Callis Family story loop with Kazuchika Okada trolling him at every opportunity. Daisuke Sasaki will be heading over to North America for a month this April. Despite being unmasked and revealed as Tokio last month, Keigo Nakamura is staying in Mexico until he decides the time is right for him to go home. Shoko Nakajima will be back in MLW soon now that Shotzi Blackheart is looking for a title shot. WrestleMania Week is sounding like a more quiet one for DDT coverage this year but I’m certain I’ll find something about it to write about come April. But yeah the story to follow right now is TJPW pushing further into international expansion for 2026.

Oh, and since Maki Itoh is now signed full time to Stardom I decided that’s the end of me writing about her international bookings going forward. I know she and Sayaka Unagi are building up a match together for one of Unagi’s self-produced shows so maybe I’ll write about that given that it’s two ex-TJPW wrestlers facing each other after finding greener pastures. Hang on that match was today?

Results

AEW “COLLISION”, 21/01/2026 (Aired 24/01/2026)
Addition Financial Arena, Orlando, Florida, USA

1. Kyle Fletcher & Konosuke Takeshita defeated Billy Gunn & Austin Gunn when Takeshita pinned Austin with the Raging Fire (10:20).

I think this is the only January match I have to talk about for this month’s article. Weather problems led to AEW changing around their schedule and an episode of Collision had to be taped on the same night as Dynamite. That also caused some unexpected matches to happen like ProtoShita taking on Austin Gunn and his dad, the 201st best wrestler in the world Billy Gunn. Takeshita knocked Billy out of the ring with an Elbow Strike that sounded like a gunshot and Kyle Fletcher gave his own lethal strike to Austin before throwing him over to Takeshita for the Raging Fire. After the match Okada walked out to steal everyone’s attention while Fletcher and Don Callis had to calm Takeshita down inside the ring.

They’re going back to Thailand to do it and SETUP are throwing their other two champions at them to try and get the belts back! Monomoth is the current SETUP Thailand Openweight Champion and Matcha is the current SETUP All Asia Women’s Champion. Together they will face the might of K!SS// in the main event!

SETUP also have to deal with Chris Brookes coming back to cause more trouble. He is part of the REAL GLOBAL THREAT stable over there.

NJPW “THE NEW BEGINNING”, 27/02/2026
CURE Insurance Arena, Trenton, New Jersey, USA

1. NJPW World TV Title: El Phantasmo (c) Vs KONOSUKE TAKESHITA

Now that the IWGP Heavyweight Title can be seen in the rear view mirror, Takeshita is back in familiar ground for New Japan’s next show in America. He will face El Phantasmo once more with the NJPW World TV Title on the line again. They last fought over the championship in May and that match ended in a time limit draw. Since then they went 1-1 in other singles matches, Takeshita retaining the NEVER Openweight Title over ELP and then ELP beating Takeshita in the G1 Climax.

EVE “WOMEN BEHAVING BADLY #IWD2026”, 06/03/2026
Big Penny Social, London, England

1. Jamie Hayter Vs Miyu Yamashita

Well this an unexpected little switch around. The match Jamie Hayter wants with Miyu Yamashita was originally made for “WRESTLE QUEENDOM VIII” but Yamashita claims to have something else planned for the show. So EVE are doing the Hayter Vs Yamashita match a few days earlier at their monthly London event instead.

RCW SPAIN “HELL GIRLS DELUXE”, 07/03/2026
Casinet de Hostafrancs, Barcelona, Spain

1. Miyu Yamashita Vs X

In between the EVE shows in England, Yamashita has found the time to visit Barcelona again for another appearance in RCW Spain.

EVE “WRESTLE QUEENDOM VIII”, 08/03/2026

As already mentioned above, Yamashita apparently has a match already planned for this show. What will it be?

PPW “HARDCORE FRIDAY THE 13TH”, 13/03/2026

Polish pro wrestling in Japan? Sure, why not.

The list of non-Japanese wrestlers taking part in the tour will be revealed soon.

The Dallas show was advertised at AEW’s Collision taping last night.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “TJPW TEXAS STAMPEDE – HOUSTON”, ??/03/2026
Houston, Texas, USA

Just have to wait for the date and location for the Houston show to be announced. I wonder what the hold up is there.

ROH/MLP “GLOBAL WARS”, 27/03/2026
St. Clair College, Windsor, Ontario, Canada

1. Daisuke Sasaki Vs X

Okay the booking makes a slight bit more sense now that Daisuke Sasaki has won the DDT Universal Title but it was still unexpected news to see him listed for Ring Of Honor and Maple Leaf shows happening in Canada next month.

MLP “UPRISING”, 28/03/2026
St. Clair College, Windsor, Ontario, Canada

1. Daisuke Sasaki Vs X

This will be part of a month long overseas excursion for Sasaki. He usually ends up in Mexico the majority of the time when he does these things but I’ve been told he is or at least was available for Las Vegas in April.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “VANCOUVER PREMIERE – DAY 1”, 11/04/2026
Great Canadian Hastings Racecourse & Casino, Vancouver, BC, Canada

You can thank Sayuri Namba for this. Once the Texas tour is out of the way, TJPW will be expanding into Canada for a double shot in Vancouver! Details are still to come before the tickets go on sale this week but there is some info to keep an eye on. Day 1 is happening on the same date and in the same venue as a Mystery Wrestling show put together by Evil Uno. Yamashita has wrestled there once before and you never know who else will show up. Will the mystery 4 Way match have everyone in druid clothing disrobe to reveal it’s an Up Up Girls concert instead?

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “VANCOUVER PREMIERE – DAY 2”, 12/04/2026
Great Canadian Hastings Racecourse & Casino, Vancouver, BC, Canada

One thing I know for certain is Yuki Aino will not be part of the Canada shows. She is already scheduled to appear at the Gaisen Sakura Pro Wrestling show in Okayama that weekend instead.

GCW “JOSH BARNETT’S BLOODSPORT XV”, 17/04/2026
Horseshoe, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

1. Miyu Yamashita Vs X

What is Yamashita’s record in Bloodsport so far? 0-2? I get that her previous opponents were Shayna Baszler and Nattie Neidhart but she really needs to bring it and get at least one win at these shows. Oh and to avoid hitting the corner post head first this time but that was such a badly done finish that part didn’t even register with almost everybody.

SAJ “SAJ X TJPW”, 26/04/2026
Centro Sport Cesate, Milan, Italy

Announced right at the end during the final hours of the month, SAJ Wrestling in Italy announced on their show that they will be holding a event with TJPW in April. And that might not be the only trip TJPW is doing during that period. What a busy month they are going to have.
