DNA prepared for its next chapter by holding the Pro Wrestling Koshien tournament. Not only that but they introduced a brand new helix looking logo too. Naomi Yoshimura powered through the tournament beating Dai Suzuki, Mizuki Watase and MAO to be crowned the winner. Yoshimura said the result was proof that he is the strongest in DNA. With Kazusada Higuchi now gone, Yoshimura will take his place as the ace. He is prepared to do what it takes to make DNA interesting.

A big mystery surrounding the tournament involved an unknown person in biker gear attacking the wrestlers. He showed up again after the Yoshimura Vs Suzuki match. But in a surprise he did not attack Suzuki like he did the first time they met. Instead he shook his hand, hugged him and helped walk him away from the ring. The biker reappeared during Yoshimura’s victory speech but was immediately and easily stopped by Rekka. The biker was unmasked and revealed to be… Dai Suzuki? Yoshimura laughed and told everyone to look forward to his fun ideas.

In non-tournament action, Masato Kamino had his debut match teaming with Rekka to take on Gran MilliMeters. Kamino appeared with a flashy entrance jacket that was rumoured to cost 100,000 yen to make. He took the pinfall loss as expected he was proud of his debut. He had been training for two and a half years for this match. It took so long because of knee injuries derailing him. But his father told he his dreams will come true if he never gives up.

DNA’s 3rd chapter will officially begin with their 7th September show in Shin-Kiba. Mike Bailey, Royce Isaacs and Tanomusaku Toba will be on the show along with Koju Takeda from Triple Six and Keisuke Okuda from IGF. Okuda is planning to become a regular wrestler for DNA. He had been watching the tournament and considered the wrestling minor league. He warned that he is coming to DNA to destroy everyone but wants everyone in DNA to use that as motivation. Do not be afraid of him, come out and fight!

Kota Umeda announced his goal is to return from injury in time for the Kumamoto show on 9th December.

*V6 for Konosuke Takeshita. Naomi Yoshimura cashed in his Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere Contract.

With less than a month away before “RYOGOKU PETER PAN 2017”, the journey to Sumo Hall went through a lot of bumps and turns in Korakuen Hall today. Konosuke Takeshita had not just one but two KO-D Openweight Title defences, clearing through the last of the Right To Challenge holders. First up was the scheduled main event against Keisuke Ishii. For weeks Ishii had been preparing the Final Cut learned from Kaz Hayashi as his secret weapon. Unfortunately for him, when it was finally time to use it Takeshita countered the move into an Emerald Frosion. Kind of ironic given Ishii’s adoration for classic All Japan that such a move would be used against him. With his battleplan in tatters, Ishii still had it in him to kick out of the German Suplex and some Big Boots. But the Surprise Rose finally put him down for the count.

After the match Takeshita wanted to create peace between his generation and Ishii’s. It isn’t about which generation is better, it’s about doing your best for DDT. He even invited Shigehiro Irie to come out as part of the peace offering. What he got instead was an ambush Lariat from Naomi Yoshimura! Today was the day Yoshimura would give Takeshita his greatest humiliation. He’s cashing in the last Right To Challenge contract for his title shot right now! What followed was Takeshita’s fight for survival as Yoshimura tried to beat him with big move after big move. A high angle choke Slam couldn’t beat Takeshita. A Power Bomb from the apron through a table couldn’t beat him. More Lariats couldn’t beat him. Takeshita finally turned the tables when he escaped the Throwaway Power Bomb and hit back with Lariats and Shoulder Blocks. He was now besting Yoshimura in these sumo-like collisions just like when they were kids. Yoshimura couldn’t handle it and his quest for revenge ended in failure after one Lariat too many. Takeshita won and now has a clear road ahead to Sumo Hall where Tetsuya Endo is waiting for him.

Endo entered the ring to show his disappointment over the result. He thought fighting Yoshimura would be the more interesting match. He reminded Takeshita that it was just over one year ago when Endo joined DAMNATION. A lot has changed since then but one thing remained the same. Endo wants the KO-D Title and he’ll have to beat Takeshita to get it! Takeshita didn’t hold back over what he wanted to say to his former friend. If Takeshita beats Endo in another title match and at Sumo Hall this time then Endo shouldn’t get another shot as long as Takeshita is champion. Endo agreed to the condition. Takeshita then reminded Endo about their 60 minute draw and said everyone at Sumo Hall better be prepared to see another one. He offered a handshake but Endo spat in his face instead. Takeshita remained calm but then grabbed Endo’s hair and pulled him in for a Short Range Lariat. Endo ducked, bounced off the ropes and hit a Handspring Leg Lariat to the champion. He followed it up with the Shooting Star Press. Endo grabbed the title belt and had the final word. Fair and square? Endo isn’t here to kid around. Wrestling isn’t a sport, it’s a fight. Takeshita told him that one year ago. Now Endo will return that message to him!

High risk, high reward was needed to determine a winner between Daisuke Sasaki and Joey Ryan so a Ladder Match was held with the DDT Extreme Title hanging above the ring. Ryan wasted no time when he dove out of the ring onto Sasaki during the champion’s entrance. Ryan later gave Sasaki a Brainbuster onto the ladder outside the ring. He looked all clear to climb the ladder inside the ring and grab the title but Sasaki caught his attention by pulling out a picture of Laura James and kissing it. Ryan got off the ladder but that allowed Sasaki to come back in and take control of the match. Sasaki brought out a trash can to beat Joey up with. He then wrapped a steel chain around his arm and jumped for a Diving Elbow but Joey rolled out of the way. Ryan took out a lollipop covered in thumbtacks and shoved it into Sasaki’s mouth! Sasaki hit back with a Chain Lariat then used the chain to wrap a Cross Facelock on Joey. Sasaki then brought out a barbed wire bat but Joey Super Kicked him with the lollipop still in his mouth! Then Ryan brought out the most dangerous weapon yet… a box of Lego! Ever step on one of those things without shoes on? Then you know how much they hurt. Ryan spilled the Lego onto the canvas and gave Sasaki the Balls Plex onto the Lego. He climbed the ladder but somehow Sasaki recovered, grabbed the second ladder and hit him with it to slow him down. Sasaki then position the second ladder between the first ladder and the top rope. Joey reached for the title belt but Sasaki threw him off with a Back Body Drop onto the second ladder! That left Sasaki free to pull down the belt and stay as the Extreme Champion.

Sasaki celebrated with the title belt and the picture of Laura James. He was approached by Amon Tsurumi and asked who he would like to defend the title against at Sumo Hall. Sasaki said he wants to go to America and defend against Candice LeRae. Tsurumi told him to forget about it because that request is impossible. Akito came out and asked for the title shot. Tsurumi liked the idea. After all, Akito eliminated Sasaki in the King Of DDT tournament and also has wins over him in 3 Way Matches. Sasaki said he would agree to it on one condition. Their match will also be “Cabellera Contra Cabellera”, a Hair Vs Hair Match! Akito accepted because he made up his mind long ago how much he is willing to risk to become a champion again. He’ll bet all of the hair on his head if he has to!

Irie appeared in the ring with his head heavily bandaged for his KO-D Tag Team Titles defence with Kazusada Higuchi. They were in for a fight against the DAMNATION pair of Shuji Ishikawa & Mad Paulie. The four brawled around the ring and it looked like the challengers were coming out on top. Ishikawa gave Irie the Fire Thunder while Paulie hit Higuchi with the Reverse Splash. However Higuchi recovered and sent Paulie into the corner. Irie ran in with a Cannonball Splash to Paulie which stunned him. Higuchi then put the big guy away with the Goten for the three count. The YaroZ were presented with their title belts by Ayumi Goto who herself was wearing the OPBF Oriental Pacific Women’s Super Bantamweight Title.

Afterwards Tsurumi invited HARASHIMA to the ring for an announcement concerning the Tag Titles. HARASHIMA will be challenging for the belts at Sumo Hall with someone who will certainly make DDT more exciting. Out came Naomichi Marufuji! HARASHIMA said he was exciting to put this together. Marufuji wanted everyone to know he isn’t doing this match as a guest wrestler. He is here because he wants to win the Tag Titles with somebody as skillful as HARASHIMA. Irie is pleased. He respects Marufuji and cannot wait to crush him!

Soma Takao must be feeling left out. He returns from illness to win a 4 Way Tag with HARASHIMA then HARASHIMA goes and makes friends with Marufuji for a big championship match. Now what is Takao going to do at Sumo Hall?

Shunma Katsumata Vs Tetsuya Endo didn’t last three minutes. Katsumata attacked Endo during his entrance and tried to get a quick win but it backfired when Endo pinned him with Tetsuya In The Sky. Backstage Katsumata excused the loss by saying he was feeling tired from wrestling in the NOAH Jr. Tag League.

Saki Akai wanted to see how much she has grown since her last meeting with Yoshiko. The result was inconclusive because Masahiro Takanashi pinned Makoto Oishi instead, leaving the two women to glare at each other after the match.

Japanese livelihoods were on the line in the opener. If T2Hide lost then both Hirata Collection A.T. and Gorgeous Matsuno would be deported from the country. But if they won then nobody could ever accuse Hira-Colle of being Kazuki Hirata in disguise ever again. A draw meant only Hira-Colle would be deported and Matsuno would be safe. To make things even more tense the match was held under (deep breath) Italian Falls Count Anywhere Match Scramble Bunkhouse Street Fight Tornado 6-Man Tag rules. Antonio Honda tried to calm the situation by telling the good old summer story “Pirates Of The Caribbean” but he replaced the name Caribbean with Parisian. Danshoku Dino won the match for his team by countering the Hirata Lock into a Cradle for the pin. Everyone celebrated by grabbing Hirata and carrying him out of the building. A message was then produced on the screen advertising Kazuki Hirata’s return to DDT on 30th August.

In the dark match, Daiki Shimomura tried to beat Kouki Iwasaki with Standing Moonsaults. Iwasaki fought back with Knee Lifts and won the match with a Vertical Drop Brainbuster. That is quickly becoming is go to move for beating opponents from the generation below him.

The brand new KO-D 10-Man Tag Team Titles were shown off for the first time. Each belt is a different colour. The belts are red, blue, pink, yellow and green. The first champions will be decided at Sumo Hall with Toru Owashi and Makoto Oishi captaining the two teams. They will announce their team choices at the first Beer Garden show on 30th July.

Katsumata was told he would be getting a special singles match at Sumo Hall. He will face Jiro “Ikemen” Kuroshio! The WRESTLE-1 pretty boy ran around Korakuen Hall greeting the audience while Tsurumi tried to get his attention to keep the show on schedule. The match means something to both wrestlers because they are both the same age and were also trainees together in an old promotion called SMASH.

Miyu Yamashita appeared to promote her match against Meiko Satomura in Tokyo Joshi Pro on 26th August. She admitted she had a bad performance at the press conference announcing the match. Satomura’s comments about Yamashita drove her to tears. Yamashita said when she woke up the next day she threw away all of her admiration for Satomura and replaced them with a desire to kill her in the ring!

8. Triple Crown Giant Vs DNA-gun ~ Super Heavy Special Single Match: Shuji Ishikawa defeated Kazusada Higuchi with the Splash Mountain (13:37).
9. Osaka Wrestling School Vs Kishiwada Gurentai – Challenge to Yukinobu ~ Special Tag Match: Konosuke Takeshita & Shigehiro Irie defeated “Big Boss” MA-G-MA & Black Buffalo when Takeshita pinned Buffalo with the Cross-Arm German Suplex (25:22).

DDT’s tribute to Osaka wrestling was headlined by their two top wrestlers from the region taking on two legendary figures. When Konosuke Takeshita & Shigehiro Irie got a match against Magnitude Kishiwada and Buffalo they wanted them in their original Osaka Pro forms, “Big Boss” MA-G-MA & Black Buffalo. They got their wish and their opponents made it clear they weren’t going to play nice. MA-G-MA & Buffalo attacked the DDT team the moment the bell rang. MA-G-MA put Takeshita through a table outside the ring with a Diving Body Press. However the tables turned when MA-G-MA accidentally Clotheslined Buffalo. Irie flattened Buffalo with a Running Cannonball into the corner. MA-G-MA did what he could to save Buffalo but soon ran out of chances. Takeshita then hit the Cross-Arm German Suplex to seal the victory.

Before the Osaka team left, MA-G-MA appealed to Takeshita for a singles match some day down the line. Takeshita and Irie showed admiration for their opponents and said it is now their own era of pro wrestling. When Takeshita was finished, Naomi Yoshimura came down to the ring to grab his attention. He said Takeshita forgot about someone. Yoshimura then went back to the entrance and brought out Takeshita’s mother, Keiko Takeshita! Yoshimura said he was stealing Keiko so her son won’t be able to eat any meals when he comes home. Keiko didn’t seem to mind because she was busy waving to the audience as they were chanting her name. Takeshita was annoyed but he can still protect his KO-D Openweight Title so please continue to support him. Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi closed out the show by singing “A Woman Born Is Osaka”.

Big men doing big moves was the theme of the other main event. Kazusada Higuchi stepped up to Shuji Ishikawa and wasn’t intimidated by the Triple Crown Champion. Back Drops, Lariats and even the Doctor Bomb could not win the match for Higuchi. Instead Ishikawa cut him off with a Knee Lift, a Sliding D, the Fire Thunder and then the Splash Mountain to finish it.

Dick Togo and Mad Paulie continued to fight each other at the end of the Wrestling Hunters Vs DAMNATION match. The rest of DAMNATION had to pull Paulie away from Togo. Save that energy for the Paulie Joshi, buddy.

Antonio Honda had the opportunity to join in with Kikutaro and Kuishinbo Kamen’s famous wrestling exchanges but was struck with anxiety. He was up all of last night thinking of “Gon, The Little Fox” as usual. This annoyed his opponents so they decided to fight Honda two on one with some nonsense along the way. Kikutaro tired himself out and Honda easily submitted him with a Crab Hold to win. Honda thanked both of his opponents for the match. Kikutaro said he would like to do it again whenever the cost of his flights from and to Nevada are cheap.

In a moment of true villainy, Super Sasadango Machine rummaged through Yuni’s carry case before their trios match. Inside he found the kid’s fidget spinner and he stole it! Sasadango taunted Yuni by playing with the spinner in the ring then challenged him to take it back with his strength. To make it worse, Sasadango then stuffed the spinner down the front of Danshoku Dino’s tights. Yuni got help from Makoto Oishi and Jun Kasai to beat Dino, Sasadango & Atsushi Maruyama. Oishi gave Sasadango a Stunner, Kasai then hit the Pearl Harbour Splash and Yuni got the pin with the Sky Twister Press from the 2nd turnbuckle. After the match Kasai reached into Dino’s tights, pulled out the spinner and gave it back to Yuni.

There was a problem about the Battle Royal that needed to be solved. The original plan was for the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Championship to be defended in the match but the current champion Maho Kurone was nowhere to be found. Yukinori Matsui told Amon Tsurumi that there needed to be a prize to motivate the contestants. Tsurumi thought about it and came up with an idea. He took off his afro and handed it over to Matsui. You see, the afro represents the power held by the DDT General Manager. Tsurumi announced that the winner will become the GM for one day. This will allow the winner to make any match or personal request that they desire. Saki Akai won the Battle Royal without eliminating anybody. She was tied up into a ball by Hirata Collection A.T. and left alone afterwards. Hirata and Joey Ryan were the last wrestlers left fighting and they eliminated each other so Akai was declared the winner. After Tsurumi freed her, he gave her the afro and asked her not to throw it away because she will have to wear it on the day she becomes the GM.

Shunma Katsumata & MAO recorded a message for the DDT fans while they were away competing in the NOAH Jr. Tag League. Unfortunately the audio was indecipherable because there was a strong wind while they were recording outdoors.

Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title: Maho Kurone defeated Joey Ryan (c) with a School Boy (5:40 pm).
*Maho Kurone becomes the 1,260th(?) champion.
1. Match To Verify If Hira-Colle is Hirata Or Hirata: Sanshiro Takagi & Toru Owashi defeated Hirata Collection A.T. & Gorgeous Matsuno when Owashi pinned Hirata with La Magistral Cradle (7:33).
2. KUDO & Masahiro Takanashi defeated Shigehiro Irie & Rekka when KUDO pinned Rekka with the Diving Double Knee Drop (6:36).
3. 3 Way Match: Akito defeated Daisuke Sasaki and Joey Ryan when Akito submitted Ryan with the Scorpion Lock (11:00).
4. HARASHIMA & Mizuki Watase defeated Danshoku Dino & Makoto Oishi when HARASHIMA pinned Oishi with the Somato (11:38).
5. Crazy Gold Wolf Vs Gon, The Little Fox: Yukio Sakaguchi defeated Antonio Honda with the Right Knee Of God (7:56).
6. Tetsuya Endo & Mad Paulie defeated Kazusada Higuchi & Kouki Iwasaki when Paulie pinned Iwasaki with the Reverse Splash (11:14).
7. ‘Hama Special Tag Match: Keisuke Ishii & Mike Bailey defeated Konosuke Takeshita & Diego when Bailey pinned Diego with the Ultima Weapon (16:50).

Keisuke Ishii continues to build momentum against Konosuke Takeshita and he’s doing it without the need for the Final Cut yet. Ishii gave Takeshita the Double Arm DDT on the floor outside the ring while Mike Bailey pinned Diego with the Ultima Weapon. Afterwards Ishii described Takeshita as a wonderful champion. But Ishii needs the KO-D Openweight Title to give the second half of his 2017 meaning.

Tetsua Endo mocked Kazusada Higuchi’s body after DAMNATION won their tag match. Endo said Higuchi has the body of a former sumo wrestler and he should be more like Mad Paulie if he wants to be strong. Paulie eats ramen three times a day to get his stoic body. Endo then announced on 23rd July he will help Paulie establish the Paulie Joshi club. It’s like Sumo Joshi clubs where women love sumo but this one is for women who love Paulie. It is Endo’s dream to buy an uninhabited island for Paulie and the Paulie Joshi to live in paradise. He may even use his King Of DDT winnings to pay for it.

Yukio Sakaguchi did everything he could to physically stop Antonio Honda from reciting “Gon, The Little Fox”. Every time Honda began to tell the tale, Sakaguchi kicked him. Honda agreed he would tell a different story instead like Snow White but it was obvious he was still trying to do “Gon, The Little Fox”. Sakaguchi ended up winning the match. He said it was fun, it’s just that he is tired of Honda telling the same story over and over. He already told it three times today!

Mizuki Watase replaced Soma Takao in Match #4. Takao had to be taken off the show when he became ill with cellulitis. HARASHIMA was pleased with the results as he and Watase beat Danshoku Dino & Makoto Oishi. But with Sumo Hall on the horizon HARASHIMA is looking into what he can do on the show. He hasn’t given up on the possibility that he can still be in the main event somehow. He has two choices ahead of him. Do something for himself or do something for DDT. He has an idea to something for himself.

Joey Ryan went into the 3 Way Match without the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title because he lost it to Maho Kurone earlier in the show (more on that later). Akito won the match by submitting Joey but now had no prize to claim. Daisuke Sasaki gave Akito his DDT Extreme Title belt and left the ring, like he did the last time Akito won a match over him. Akito would have kept the belt but Nobuhiro Shimatani took it off him and ran backstage to give it back to Sasaki. Akito is now left wondering how the hell do championships work in this company? Once he figures it out, he’s hoping to enter Sumo Hall with a title over his shoulder.

The 2 Vs 1 Handicap Match was turned into a normal tag team bout when Gorgeous Matsuno asked to team with Hirata Collection A.T. Matsuno hadn’t wrestled in DDT since “JUDGEMENT 2017” in March and he grew tired of waiting for his next booking. Everyone wanted to know Hirata’s true identity. And I mean everyone because they all entered the ring to gang up and stomp on Hirata. After the match, Sanshiro Takagi came to a conclusion. Hirata Collection A.T. is… not Kazuki Hirata! Why? Because Hirata Collection A.T. cannot wrestle to save his life. Matsuno didn’t care about this nonsense. He wanted to know when DDT will book him again. Takagi asked the audience if they wanted to see Matsuno again. They cheered. Takagi then announced that at Korakuen Hall on 23rd July, Hirata Collection A.T. will have to win his match or else he will be deported! Also Matsuno won’t be on the show. Danshoku Dino convinced Takagi to change his mind and add Matsuno to Hirata’s match. Now if Hirata’s team loses then both Hirata and Matsuno will be deported out of Japan!

Before the first match began, Joey Ryan wanted to send a message to Daisuke Sasaki so he went to the ring and had Antonio Honda translate for him. Joey mentioned he was attacked by a zombie girl at Tokyo Joshi Pro earlier in the day but this is a DDT show so he isn’t worried about bumping into her again. As he was saying this, Maho Kurone snuck into the ring with a severed arm and a referee. She tapped Joey’s shoulder with the arm to get his attention. When Joey turned around he tried to defend himself by grabbing the severed arm and making it grab his crotch. However Kurone let go of the arm and pinned Joey with a School Boy to win the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title! Joey ran off with the severed hand still grabbing his crotch while Honda finished up the opening call.

Takeshita opened the show by promoting the upcoming “HANDMADE IN JAPAN FES 2017” but he was interrupted by Naomi Yoshimura as usual. Yoshimura claimed he had stolen Takaeshita’s power blocks and this time he got the correct ones. He brought them out and to Takeshita’s surprise they really were his blocks. Amon Tsurumi asked Yoshimura when he will finally use his Right To Challenge Contract to cash for the KO-D Title shot. Yoshimura said he wants to do it in a venue that can fill 10,000 people where he can humiliate Takeshita the most, so Sumo Hall on 20th August. Tsurumi had some bad news for Yoshimura. The Right To Challenge contract will expire after the Beer Garden series finale on 5th August. That’s before Sumo Hall! Yoshimura was taken aback but then acted like he knew that all along. He’ll cash in on 3rd August or 5th August or whatever date Tsurumi said it expires. Yoshimura was in such a hurry to leave ringside that he left behind Takeshita’s power blocks for Takeshita to take back.

In a repeat of the ending to their singles match last month, Kazusada Higuchi used Power Bombs to fight out of Yukio Sakaguchi’s Triangle Choke. Sakaguchi kept hold of the Choke for as long as he could. However this time Higuchi kept his consciousness and fully broke Sakaguchi with the Nodowa Bomb. Not only did Sakaguchi let go of the move but he was also too beaten to kick out of the pin. Both KUDO & Sakaguchi offered to shake Shigehiro Irie & Higuchi’s hands after the match. The KO-D Tag Team Champions instead chose to bow as a show of respect. Higuchi said he could not have won the match without Irie. In return Irie talked about how much he admires Higuchi’s strength.

The Last Man Standing grudge match between Daisuke Sasaki and Joey Ryan ended in a draw. Sasaki provoked Ryan by bringing out a picture of Ryan’s wife Laura James to the ring with him. The match became more violent as time went by. Sasaki used a chair for his Super Elbow Drop and also to add extra pain to the Cross Facelock. He then poured thumbtacks into Ryan’s tights and went to attack him with the chair. Ryan fought back by pouring thumbtacks into Sasaki’s mouth and Super Kicking him afterwards. Ryan then Speared Sasaki from the apron through a table outside the ring! When Sasaki got back up, Ryan set up several chairs next to each other in the ring then climbed the ropes. Sasaki stopped him, climbed up the ropes too and then gave Ryan a Superplex onto the chairs! Both of them could not answer the 10 count so the match was ruled a draw. Since the DDT Extreme Title and Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title were both on the line, the result counts as successful title defences for both men. Both Sasaki and Ryan demanded a rematch because neither of them lost.

When ALL OUT were finished celebrating their win in the ring, Naomi Yoshimura came out with his latest act of revenge against Konosuke Takeshita. This time he was stealing Takeshita’s power blocks. Takeshita is always training with power blocks when he warms up for his matches so without them he can’t warm up properly anymore. However Takeshita pointed out that both DDT and Big Japan were having shows in Hakata Star Lane today and it was Big Japan who were supplying the equipment. Those aren’t his power blocks, they belong to a Big Japan wrestler. Suddenly out came Yuji Okabayashi! He grabbed the power blocks from Yoshimura, yelled at him to never disturb his training again and left. Yoshimura tried to act like he was still stealing everything important in Takeshita’s life and soon it will include the KO-D Openweight Championship. Takeshita told Yoshimura to take it easy.

Danashoku Dino summoned Makoto Oishi, Nobuhiro Shimatani and Yuki Ueno out during the Hakata Specialty match. He announced that we are in the middle of the Hakata Gion Yamakasa Festival so they should celebrate. He then stripped the three of their clothes and they were all wearing fundoshis underneath. He then made the three of them form a pillar of asses against the corner. Unfortunately for Dino’s partner Mike Bailey he was the one who ended up face first into the pillar. With Bailey incapacitated, Dino had no help and was pinned by HARASHIMA. After the match Toru Owashi thanked HARASHIMA for winning because he was knocked out earlier by the Danshoku Nightmare VR. Owashi teaming with HARASHIMA again brought back memories of their Disaster BOX unit. Backstage Owashi claimed he was now a member of Smile Squash but HARASHIMA denied it. The match was only a Disaster BOX reunion, nothing more. Owashi then asked if HARASHIMA remembers their fellow BOX member Shogo Takagi because he still has his phone number but never calls him.

Kota Umeda greeted the crowd at the beginning of the show. He is still recovering from his injuries but he promises he will be wrestling again when DDT returns to Hakata.

4. HARASHIMA & Soma Takao defeated MAO & Nobuhiro Shimatani when Takao pinned Shimatani with the Gin And Tonic (10:06).

6. Ogura Specialty! Watching A Million Summer Special Tag Match: KUDO & Yukio Sakaguchi defeated Shigehiro Irie & Kouki Iwasaki when Sakaguchi submitted Iwasaki with the Sakaguchi Cobra Clutch (11:48).
7. Keisuke Ishii, Danshoku Dino & Mike Bailey defeated Konosuke Takeshita, Akito & Diego when Ishii pinned Diego with the High Angle Double Arm DDT (15:19).

Keisuke Ishii’s team ran wild on ALL OUT in finish to the main event. Danshoku Dino trapped Akito on the ropes with the Danshoku Nightmare VR. Then Mike Bailey dove over both of them onto Konosuke Takeshita outside the ring. Ishii then gave Diego the High Angle Double Arm DDT for the three count.

Yukio Sakaguchi told the fans not to worry because Shuten-dōji will win the KO-D Tag Team Titles tomorrow.

Daisuke Sasaki has resorted to more personal mind games against Joey Ryan. Sasaki brought out a portrait of Laura James with him to rile up Joey. The plan backfired because Joey shoved a lollipop into Sasaki’s mouth and Super Kicked him for the win. Joey said he will take the DDT Extreme Title from him tomorrow then demanded to have the picture of Laura back because Sasaki doesn’t deserve it. Later Sasaki crossed the line during his post-match interview when he said in English “I will fuck your wife!”

Yuni joined in with Hirata Collection A.T.’s model walk even though they were on different teams. He later pinned Hirata with the Sky Twister Press from the 2nd rope.

Naomi Yoshimura confronted Takeshita at ringside before the show began. Yoshimura wanted to show everyone the latest item he stole from Takeshita. First it was the Opening Show Call, then it was the Gold Gym membership card. Today Yoshimura was taking Takeshita’s protein powder! He taunted Takeshita by mixing up his own protein shake and drinking it in front of him. There was just one problem. That wasn’t Takeshita’s powder, he uses a different brand. An angry Nobuhiro Shimatani came out, grabbed the powder from Yoshimura and went back to the locker room.

6. PREMIUM GIG – With That Thought ~Kazusada Higuchi Graduation Memorial Match~: Kazusada Higuchi & Ryota Nakatsu defeated Kouki Iwasaki & Naomi Yoshimura when Higuchi pinned Iwasaki with the Goten (15:20).
7. MAIN GIG – Break Open The New Door Of DNA!: Shunma Katsumata defeated Yuki Ueno with the Firebird Splash (20:56).

Today’s show was an eventful one for DNA as a whole. Kazusada Higuchi was graduating from the brand but the main event spots were given to Shunma Katsumata and Yuki Ueno so the younger wrestlers could get a chance in the spotlight. Ueno was determined to seize the opportunity and went straight into an Elbow Smash battle with Katsumata. He then Dropkicked Katsumata out of the ring and leapt on top of him with a Plancha. Katsumata had to rely on his speed to takeover the match. Missile Dropkicks and John Woo Dropkicks kept Ueno at bay until turned his back and climbed the top rope. Ueno got up, stopped Katsumata and Power Bombed him. Ueno missed a Splash from the top rope, Katsumata recovered to hit a Lightning Spiral and then the Firebird Splash for the three count. Katsumata wanted to thank everyone in the audience for attending but he was interrupted by Sanshiro Takagi. The DDT president praised both Katsumata and Ueno for having a good match. He said today was the end of Chapter 2 for DNA. He asked Katsumata what he thought of that then immediately cut him off to answer on his behalf. After that, Takagi announced Chapter 3 will begin with the return of the Wrestling Koshien tournament on 5th August at Shinjuku FACE.

As Chapter 2 ends so does Higuchi’s time in DNA. He wanted to help DNA for their second show in Korakuen Hall before he moved on to become a full time DDT wrestler. So he was given a special graduation match with three wrestlers who were his rivals and teammates during his time here. Higuchi teamed with Ryota Nakatsu to beat Kouki Iwasaki and Naomi Yoshimura. Higuchi thanked all three of them for being in the match. He was born in DNA and he will never forget it.

Mizuki Watase was given another tough challenge in the form of Koji Kanemoto. The match was almost one sided as Kanemoto dished out kicks and knee strikes and stretches to Watase. It ended when Kanemoto put Watase in a Half Crab then stamped on his head until the referee stopped the match. Despite the vicious beating, Kanemoto praised Watase for putting up a fight. In a backstage interview Kanemoto said he watched Watase’s match with Shinjiro Otani but couldn’t get into it. He only began to understand Watase’s enthusiasm when they wrestled each other. However, Kanemoto warned everyone that he is not a gatekeeper for young wrestlers. He will knock you down when given the opportunity.

Even though MAO and Tetsuya Endo are both from Miyagi, the two do not get along. MAO wishes it would be different and hoped their match today would be the start something good between them. Endo didn’t see it that way. In fact he just treated it like any other match. Also Endo thinks he is overwhelmingly stronger than MAO so there is no way they can be rivals.

Dai Suzuki’s DNA career was on the line in the final stage of his trial series. Three matches so far and three loses to go with them. For the finale he had to fight four wrestlers at the same time. They were Hideki Suzuki, Jun Kasai, NOSAWA Rongai & Gurukun Mask. All Suzuki had to do was to either beat one of them or avoid losing to all four of them for 7 minutes. He had Ken Ohka cheering him on from the sidelines but when the match began it quickly looked grim. Gurukin Mask pinned him in under a minute. Hideki Suzuki submitted him 30 seconds later. A glimmer of hope came when NOSAWA and Kasai began to argue with each other. Kasai let it go and hit Suzuki with the Pearl Harbour Splash. NOSAWA then snuck past Kasai and stole the pin. The two began arguing again. NOSAWA was so mad he decided to help out Suzuki and break the pin whenever it looked like Kasai was going to win. When Kasai finally got rid of NOSAWA he gave Suzuki the Reverse Tiger Driver but the time expired and the match was ruled a draw. Dai Suzuki’s career is saved! Kasai complained about the result but backed off when Hideki Suzuki demanded he fight Shogun Okamoto. When they left, Ohka motivated Dai Suzuki for his performance. He isn’t weak, he’s getting stronger and he works as hard as he can. Suzuki promised to show his gratitude to Ohka for supporting him.

Gran MilliMeters jumped Shiro Koshinaka & Kotaro Suzuki with Double Dropkicks to start their match. However the veteran team turned the tables and grabbed the victory. Suzuki got rid of Nobuhiro Shimatani. Koshinaka hit Daiki Shimomura with the Diving Hip Attack then finished him off with the Power Bomb. Gran MilliMeters are unsure about their future as a team. There aren’t many tag teams in DNA so maybe it is time for them to go a different direction.

A multinational tag team bout opened the show featuring wrestlers from America (Cody Hall), Canada (Mike Bailey), Chile (Diego) and Taiwan (Rekka). Hall showed his strength by Back Body Dropping his partner out of the ring onto the Young Donuts outside! Bailey later got the win with the Ultima Weapon on Rekka. Hall said he felt great because winning is a pleasant thing and dominating opponents is the best feeling a wrestler can get.

7. KO-D Openweight Title: Konosuke Takeshita (c) defeated Mike Bailey with the Brainbustaaaaahhhhh!!!!! (27:35).
*V4 for Konosuke Takeshita. Mike Bailey cashes in his Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere Contract.

All of the applauding in the world couldn’t get Mike Bailey the KO-D Openweight Championship. He’s been doing it non-stop in the lead up to this match with Konosuke Takeshita and continued when the match began. He stopped when Takeshita dropped his guard so he could attempt a roll up. From there he took the match seriously. How seriously? Serious enough to do a Moonsault from the top of the stairway where the wrestlers entered! However Takeshita wouldn’t be beaten. He kicked out of the Ultima Weapon while Bailey kicked out of the German Suplex. Takeshita had to dig deep into his history and got the win with the Brainbustaaaaahhhhh!!!!! After the match Takeshita told Bailey “You are forever my rival. We are No. 1!” Bailey said that yesterday was Canada Day and he got to celebrate it in Japan. He called Takashita a wonderful wrestler. Bailey then joked by calling himself the worst wrestler in Canada. Keisuke Ishii entered the ring to confirm he will get the next title match on 23rd July thanks to his Right to Challenge contract. He said he saw a great match and he is glad that Takeshita is still the champion. Ishii wants to be the one to stop Takeshita. Also he doesn’t want Takeshita Vs Tetsuya Endo to main event Sumo Hall in August.

At the end of the show when Takeshita climbed up the stairs to the locker room, Naomi Yoshimura was standing at the top waiting for him. He reminded Takeshita that he will take everything important to him one by one. First was the show opening call at Korakuen Hall. Today it is Takeshita’s Gold Gym membership card! However Yoshimura’s evil plan failed when he accidentally dropped the card over the stairs. Akito simply went over, picked it up and gave it back to Takeshita. Yoshimura tried to play it off that he let Takeshita have his card back. He then warned him about his Right To Challenge contract then left. A perplexed Takeshita thanked Akito for getting him his card back.

Shigehiro Irie, Kazusada Higuchi & Kouki Iwasaki all entered the ring wearing panda masks.

Hirata Collection A.T. and HARASHIMA did the model walk together after they trapped Soma Takao and Toru Owashi in separate Paradise Locks. When they were finished, HARASHIMA kicked Hirata in the head and then pinned him with the Somato while still wearing the 2017 glasses. After the match HARASHIMA had a eureka moment. Hirata Collection A.T. is really Kazuki Hirata! Takao agrees and has proof. Hirata sat behind him on the tour bus and greeted him in Japanese so he can’t be Italian. Sanshiro Takagi sent Smile Squash off so he could speak to Hirata. He wanted to know if Hirata was Italian then why does he speak in English? Takagi decided to settle this with a Handicap Match on 15th July: Takagi & Owashi Vs Hirata. Owashi asked to be removed but he was ignored. Hirata swore he will prove that he is a real Italian and he will have an Italian revolution!

Saki Akai announced a special tag match for 23rd July. She and Masahiro Takanashi will take on Makoto Oishi and a mystery wrestler. That mystery wrestler was revealed to be Yoshiko from SEAdLINNNG! Akai said Yoshiko was one of her first rivals in wrestling and she wants to test out all the skills she has learned since they last fought each other. Yoshiko told Akai she will give her pain that she will never forget. Akai threatened to kick Yoshiko’s face in response.

5. Real Mad Doubt Confrontation!: Koji Kanemoto Vs Mizuki Watase
6. PREMIUM GIG – With That Thought ~Kazusada Higuchi Graduation Memorial Match~: Kazusada Higuchi & Ryota Nakatsu Vs Kouki Iwasaki & Naomi Yoshimura
7. MAIN GIG – Break Open The New Door Of DNA!: Shunma Katsumata Vs Yuki Ueno

A press conference was held featuring most of the wrestlers competing on the show. Yuki Ueno is looking forward to being in the main event because it is a big opportunity. With Kazusada Higuchi graduating and moving up to DDT, Ueno thinks it is up to him and Shunma Katsumata to open the door and show everyone the new DNA. Katsumata sees Ueno as a mystery for him to solve in the ring.

Higuchi’s graduation will leave a large gap that needs to be filled. Naomi Yoshimura is up for the challenge. This is his chance to knock down the old regime and take Higuchi’s place on the top of the DNA mountain. Kouki Iwasaki sees his position in DNA under attack and he has to protect it. Ryota Nakatsu is back in DNA again just for the special occasion. He’d rather fight Higuchi than team with him but this match is all about Higuchi so he’ll go along with it to make some memories. Higuchi realises that everyone in this match has been his rival of sorts at some point and that’s just how he wants it to be.

MAO credits Daisuke Sasaki for making Tetsuya Endo into the wrestler he is today. Endo said he is indebted to Sasaki and he might give him 700,00 yen out of his million yen prize money. Endo thinks he can live with 300,000 yen.

All Dai Suzuki has to do to save his career is not lose to 4 wrestlers in 7 minutes. NOSAWA Rongai couldn’t attend the press conference so he sent Black Tiger VII in his place. Tiger doesn’t understand the stipulation for the 4 Vs 1 match and thinks the entire bout is disgusting and pointless. Ken Ohka appeared in the room after the conference ended to give a motivational speech to Suzuki.

The Young Donuts are looking to make an impact. Rekka doesn’t care if Cody Hall is over 200cm tall, he will do what he can to beat him. Diego wants to make up for missing DNA’s first show in Korakuen Hall. Hall is entering DNA aiming to crush the competition. Mike Bailey wants to call his duo with Hall Team Cakes.

A press conference was held at DDT HQ to promote the show today. It is confirmed that Mike Bailey will cash in his Right To Challenge contract to get a KO-D Openweight Title match against Konosuke Takeshita. Bailey was cheerful to a patronising degree. He described Takeshita’s perfect haircut, posture and clothing. Then he talked about wanting to be not just the greatest foreign wrestler ever in DDT but the greatest in DDT, full stop. He thinks everyone will agree when he beats Takeshita for the championship. Takeshita thinks this will be the most difficult title defence yet but he is also aware that Naomi Yoshimura could cash in his own title shot at any time during or after the match. Bailey then heaped more praise to the champion, saying he’s been watching videos and looking at pictures of him for years. Bailey said Takeshita is perfect. He thinks will still beat him, he just doesn’t know how. That led to Takeshita asking why Bailey has been applauding him so much in their matches recently. Bailey explained that where he’s from whenever a strong opponent appears you show him respect. Takeshita finished the call by saying the match is Japan Vs Canada. The international battle will help spread DDT across the globe so that means he will show everyone what a strong champion he is because he is fighting the toughest opponent in the world.
