4. Reika Saiki, Raku & Mina Shirakawa defeated Hyper Misao, Yuki Kamifuku & Miu when Saiki submitted Kamifuku with a Tower Bridge (12:42).
Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title: Sayuri Nanba defeated Rika Tatsumi (c) with a Binder Strike (6:16 pm).
*Sayuri Nanba becomes the 1,335th champion.
5. Shoko Nakajima Vs Yuu ended in a Time Limit Draw (15:00).
6. Maki Itoh & Yuki Aino defeated Miyu Yamashita & Hikari when Ito pinned Hikari with the Flying Big Head (10:05).
Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title: Tetsuya Koda defeated Sayuri Nanba (c) with a Sleeper Hold (6:56 pm).
*Tetsuya Koda becomes the 1,336th champion.

Maki Itoh had been losing confidence since her humiliating submission defeat to Miyu Yamashita last week so she was happy to win today. In fact Itoh thanked Yamashita for dropping her back down to the bottom so she can climb up and become stronger. Itoh pointed at Yuki Aino and told her she is the same after failing to win the TOKYO Princess Tag Team Titles. That makes Itoh and Aino bottom buddies. They will both crawl from the bottom to get to the top. Itoh asked the crowd who is the 2nd cutest in the world. It’s Aino! And who is the 1st cutest? It’s Itoh!

Shoko Nakajima Vs Yuu ended in a draw but neither will forget the match anytime soon. Nakajima especially because her chest was left raw by Yuu’s chops. Yuu is grateful that she got to wrestle Nakajima one on one before she goes freelance. Yuu is inspired because Nakajima will always fight no matter if she wins or loses. Nakajima regrets not winning the match because she has never beaten Yuu. She hopes they will fight again some day.

Rika Tatsumi came out after intermission to sing her entrance song. Sayuri Nanba knocked her out mid-performance and pinned her to win the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title. Later when the show had just finished, the GM Tetsuya Koda ambushed Nanba and made her submit to a Sleeper Hold to become the new champion. He ran away with the belt while everyone booed him.

When Haruna Neko debuted she made fun of Nakajima’s height by reaching too high for a test of strength. Today Yuna Manase did the same to Haruna.

The debuting Pom Harajuku acted very playful with Yuka Sakazaki. She said the match felt like it came and went in an instant. She couldn’t do 100% of what she wanted to do but she had fun out there.

A new trainee introduced herself to the audience before the show began. Unagi had never seen pro wrestling before discovering Tokyo Joshi Pro. She debuts on 4th January and is part of the same class as Haruna, Harajuku, Yumi and one other girl who has yet to introduce herself. Unagi said she cannot wait until all five have made their debut.

MAO has been in plenty of crazy matches for DDT this year so he wants to close out his 2018 by facing Jun Kasai under Hardcore Rules. MAO is more used to Falls Count Anywhere matches rather than Hardcore matches but he understands they are virtually the same thing.

DDT is bringing back intermission for their Korakuen Hall shows beginning with this one.

Yuu’s Final Tokyo Joshi Match, Ganpro Barb Wire Match At Korakuen, Nakajima Joins Forces With Riho

November 19, 2018

1. Kyou Debut Match: Kyou Vs Yuka Sakazaki
2. Yuna Manase Vs Haruna Neko
3. Reika Saiki, Raku & Mina Shirakawa Vs Hyper Misao, Yuki Kamifuku & Miu
4. 3 Way Match: Mizuki Vs Nodoka Tenma Vs Hinano
5. Shoko Nakajima Vs Yuu
6. Miyu Yamashita & Hikari Vs Maki Ito & Yuki Aino

Now that the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title is out of the main event picture, Maki Ito has to put all of her focus on Miyu Yamashita. According to Yamashita this will be the best idea for Ito because the chase for the TOKYO Princess Title is more interesting when the challenger doesn’t already have a belt.

6. Hitori Shiten No Puroresu, All Or Nothing Big Battle: Keisuke Ishii Vs Jun Akiyama
7. No Rope Barbed Wire Death Match: Ken Ohka Vs Minoru Fujita

The most developed feud in Ganbare☆Wrestling’s history has come back to the surface for the group’s second show in Korakuen Hall. There is history between Ken Ohka and Minoru Fujita, sometimes as friends but mostly as enemies. To ensure both men will give their absolute all, the match is going to be a No Rope Barbed Wire Death Match!

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “TOKYO JOSHI PRO ’19”, 04/01/2019
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. Special Single Match: Meiko Satomura Vs Reika Saiki
2. TOKYO Princess Tag Team Titles: Yuka Sakazaki & Mizuki (c) Vs Shoko Nakajima & Riho
3. TOKYO Princess Of Princess Title: Miyu Yamashita (c) Vs Maki Ito

The relationship mapping for the TOKYO Princess Tag Team Titles match is a little bit all over the place. Yuka Sakazaki and Shoko Nakajima are friends and team together as the Miraclians. But Sakazaki currently teams with Mizuki as the Magical Sugar Rabbits. Mizuki has been friends with Riho since before joining Tokyo Joshi and they teamed together to challenge for the Tag Titles back in January. So when Nakajima was looking for someone good enough to beat the best team in TJPW, she picked Riho. No mention of a team name for them yet but there has certainly has to be one for the sake of the relationship chart.

6. Shuten-dōji Vs RENEGADES!: Shigehiro Irie & Mizuki Watase defeated KUDO & Masahiro Takanashi when Irie pinned Takanashi with the Beast Bomber (11:05).
7. DISASTER BOX Vs DAMNATION!: HARASHIMA, Toru Owashi & Yuki Ueno defeated Daisuke Sasaki, Soma Takao & Mad Paulie when Ueno pinned Paulie with a Frankensteiner (18:24).

Today’s result is a good sign for DISASTER BOX as they prepare for the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles match next month. HARASHIMA hit Mad Paulie with the Standing Somato, stunning Paulie long enough for Yuki Ueno to pin him with a Frankensteiner. HARASHIMA encouraged the newborn DISASTER BOX to rise rapidly and win the titles from DAMNATION!

DDT had 50 copies of Kazuki Hirata’s exercise DVD still in stock that they needed to get rid of. They were able to sell 41 of them up until today’s show and came to the conclusion that nobody else will buy the remaining copies. Sanshiro Takagi wanted Hirata to buy the remaining 9 copies but Hirata refused. They agreed to make their match a 60 minute time limit Falls Count Anywhere match set for 9 falls! Every time a wrestler lost a fall they are forced to buy a DVD for 3,000 yen a piece. All 9 falls had to be done within the 60 minutes. Takagi won the first 8 falls but failed to make a clean sweep when Hirata caught him in the Miracle One Shot Cradle to win the final fall. That was enough of a moral victory to satisfy Hirata. Plus he now gets 8 votes for the Dramatic General Election because he spent 24,000 yen at the DDT merch table! I guess there’s no rules prohibiting the contestants from buying their own voting ballots to vote for themselves.

The unlikely pairing of Makoto Oishi & Keisuke Okuda had trouble meshing together but they ultimately pulled it off in the end. Oishi positioned himself in front of Yuki Iino and provoked Okuda to come and kick him. Oishi dodged it and Okuda kicked Iino. Oishi then pinned Iino with a Jackknife.

After intermission Sanshiro Takagi & Tomomitsu Matsunaga came out to make an announcement. They are displeased over Booing 2018 being left off the 23rd September Korakuen Hall show. They also noticed that DDT for the last few years has been light on showcasing independent wrestlers. DDT is owned by CyberAgent (in fact the Korakuen show takes place on the 1st anniversary of the sale) but they will always remember their past as an indie league. So they want to hold a special audition match on the Korakuen pre-show with the goal of recruiting new independent wrestlers, local wrestlers and student wrestlers for a massive dream indie show called “ALL DOIN”! Takagi is aware of the super indie show called “ALL IN” that recently took place in America. He admits this idea is probably a rip off. He wants anybody in Japan interested in taking part to DM him on social media with the hashtag #ALLDOIN.

6. Miyu Yamashita, Yuka Sakazaki & Shoko Nakajima defeated Reika Saiki, Maki Itoh & Miu when Yamashita pinned Miu with the Attitude Adjustment (17:55).

Miyu Yamashita, Yuka Sakazaki & Shoko Nakajima returned from their American adventure to defeat Reika Saiki, Maki Itoh & Miu in today’s main event. Their speech after the match was interrupted by Itoh who demanded a singles match with Mizuki. She will get what she wants and the match was booked for 22nd September. Sakazaki told Itoh that Mizuki is hers now. Yamashita & Nakajima cooled the situation down by thanking everybody for supporting them and Tokyo Joshi Pro. They promise to do their best so everybody around the world can watch them.

The America love spread over to Yuna Manase and Hyper Misao. Both of them put their heads together to create the Queen Of USA Match. Along with the regular wrestling rules, the match could also be won when somebody wears a USA hat and correctly dances to the song “USA” by DA PUMP. There were points when Daisuke Kiso and Sayuri Nanba had the hat put on their head. Eventually both Manase and Misao both wore hats and danced while they fought until Koda judged Manase to be the winner.

Azusa Takigawa has renamed the Christie Agape. It is now called the Broadcaster. On 22nd September, Takigawa will face Yamashita for her 3rd Anniversary Match.

Tokyo Joshi In King Of Trios, Brahmans Challenge For Tag Titles, Weapon Rumble Returns

September 3, 2018

Over the weekend Tokyo Joshi Pro sent over three of their best to America so they can enter Chikara’s annual King Of Trios tournament in Easton, Pennsylvania. This year’s edition of the tournament was Star Wars themed so Miyu Yamashita, Shoko Nakajima & Yuka Sakazaki were called the Tokyo Joshi Freedom Fighters. On Night 1 they main evented the show by beating The Shimmer Collective of Madison Eagles, Shazza McKenzie, and Jessica Troy. Sakazaki pinned McKenzie with the Magical Magical Girl Splash. On Night 2, the Freedom Fighters won again by defeating The New Republic of Los Ice Creams and Kikutaro when Yamashita pinned Kikutaro with the Crash Rabbit Heat. Sadly on Night 3 the girls were eliminated in the semifinals by Australia’s Ancient Order of the Nations consisting of Mick Moretti, Jack Bonza, and Adam Hoffman. Nakajima was pinned by Hoffman after the Order used their version of the Anthill triple team finisher.

Takagi and MAO’s feud this year has escalated from MAO hitting Takagi with a van to Takagi crashing a car into another car with MAO still inside. It all happened within the context of wrestling matches so somehow no crimes were caused. Funny how that works. The efforts of both men to prove that they are the craziest wrestler in DDT is getting too much for everyone else to handle so a final battle has to take place. The dreaded Weapon Rumble is what’s needed to determine who is crazier. MAO claims this is the match stipulation that made him want to be a DDT wrestler.

Meiko Satomura, Tanomusaku Toba, Keisuke Okuda and Maki Ito are all booked on the show.

1. Benmaru Tournament 0 – Round 1: Daiki Shimomura defeated Akiyori Takizawa with the Swanton Bomb (8:23).
2. Benmaru Tournament 0 – Round 1: Jun Masaoka defeated Takato Nakano with a Thrust Kick (8:10).
3. Takumi Tsukamoto, Daichi Kazato & Yasu Urano defeated FUMA, Yusuke Kubo & Gouma Ryu when Tsukamoto pinned Ryu with a Crab Hold (14:29).
4. Special Single Match: Isami Kodaka Vs Daisuke Sekimoto ended in a Time Limit Draw (20:00).
5. Sakigake! Iron Family Vs Bloody Brothers!: Masaya Takahashi, Toshiyuki Sakuda & Takayuki Ueki defeated Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi, Trans-Am ★ Ryuji & SAGAT when Takahashi pinned SAGAT with the Jackhammer (15:14).
6. Cavalry Vs Astronauts!: Ryota Nakatsu & Ryuichi Sekine defeated Takuya Nomura & Fuminori Abe when Sekine submitted Abe with the Let’s Combine (17:16).

Cavalry were able to win the main event by having Ryuichi Sekine hold Fuminori Abe in place with a Full Nelson so Ryota Nakatsu could hit him with a High Kick to the head. Abe tried to recover and put Sekine in a Triangle Choke but it was countered into the Let’s Combine for the submission finish. Both of Cavalry admitted they felt jealous of Takuya Nomura after wrestling him, Nakatsu because of his skill and Sekine because he is handsome.

The Bloody Brothers weren’t sure what to make of Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi & Trans-Am ★ Ryuji. They asked each other “What are these people?” when they saw Hiroshi & Ryuji perform yoga in the ring. They were freaked out even more when Hiroshi woke up from his peaceful state during a Sleeper Hold spot and pulled scary faces at everyone.

Twenty minutes wasn’t enough to determine a winner between Isami Kodaka and Daisuke Sekimoto. The two shook hands after their match and teased having a rematch down the line.

Even though Gouma Ryu was the obvious weak link on his team, he still did his best and joined in with the IRON PRIEST spots when he could. He lost the match for his team but FUMA enthusiastically recognised the hard work he put in today. FUMA called it the birth of a new Heavy Metal Warrior. Yusuke Kubo didn’t see things the same way and said today’s result was disappointing. FUMA ignored Kubo and called Ryu a saviour. He then revealed that “FUMA FEST” will return for its second show on 8th December with Gouma Ryu’s law firm as the sponsor! He doesn’t even need permission because he already added the firm’s sponsor logo on the show poster.

Daiki Shimomura announced that with DNA taking a break he will now be wrestling for BASARA! He wrestled in a brand new black costume with some green and orange added to it to mark the new step in his career.

4. Independent World Jr. Heavyweight Title Next Challenger Battle Royal: HARUKAZE defeated Hagane by Ring Out (11:23).
Order Of Elimination: Ryan Davidson, Moeka Haruhi, Chikara, Shuichiro Katsumura, Takeshi Okada and Hagane.
5. Ganbare☆Climax 2018 – Round 1 – No DQ & No Ropes Match: Survival Tobita defeated Ken Ohka with the Piledriver onto a Chair (13:10).
6. Ganbare☆Climax 2018 – Round 1 – No DQ & No Ropes Match: Yumehito Imanari defeated Shin Mokujin Ken by Knockout with a Diving Elbow from the balcony (8:10).

The 2018 Ganbare☆Climax kicked off in violent fashion with the top two matches of the 1st Round. It was agreed that the main event and semi-main event would take place under Saitama Wrestling rules which meant no DQs, no countouts and no ropes attached to the ring. Yumehito Imanari knew that he had to go the extra mile to beat the stiff wooden monster known as Shin Mokujin Ken so he dressed Commando style for the match. He hid underneath a box so he could ambush Ken during its entrance but Ken was ready for him. Next, Imanari took out a machine gun and fired at Ken but the creature was not effected by the bullets. They brawled outside over to the balcony and Imanari knocked Ken into the wall with the Chubby Knee strike. Ken fell on top of a pile of boxes and couldn’t get up. Imanari then finished it off by finding his way up to the balcony and jumping off to hit a Diving Elbow Drop! Imanari was able to get up but Ken couldn’t answer the referee so Imanari was declared the winner by Knockout! When the match was over Imanari said for the last month he hated Ken. But today he felt a fresh sensation when they fought each other. Imanari now realises Ken isn’t a monster, he’s more like a forest fairy! Imanari broke down into tears and apologised for shooting Ken with a machine gun. He admits that was unnecessary. The world needs to be more peaceful and to do that Imanari will wrestle his enemies instead of shooting guns at them. Ken accepted his apology and the two gave each other a fist bump.

The other No Ropes, No DQ Match did not have as happy of an ending. Last year’s Ganbare☆Climax winner Ken Ohka was eliminated by Survival Tobita! Ohka was busted open early during an outside brawl and Tobita made it worse with more weapon attacks including a sawblade and a plunger. Ohka fought back with his own weapons which were all ordinary items found inside a suitcase. He got a nearfall with the Fire Spear outside the ring. The match went back into the ring and Ohka tried to finish off Tobita with a Piledriver. But Tobita countered it with a Back Body Drop onto chairs and the suitcase. Tobita hit a Piledriver of his own onto the chairs and that got him the win. Both men were on the mat by the end but Tobita still had enough in him to speak. He questioned if Ohka did his best today. Tobita gives his best because he knows as a 50 year old man that it will all be taken away from him someday. If Ohka is just going to tread water he may as well go smoke cigarettes instead of wrestle. Tobita told Ohka to ask himself again what is Ganbare☆Wrestling? Ohka still has more to do to answer that.

In the remaining 1st Round matches Shota beat a grumpy Mitsuo Momota by holding onto his tights during a School Boy. Shinichiro Tominaga eliminated Yuu Yamagata from the tournament by kissing her for a distraction then rolling her up with a Small Package for the three count. The semi-finals tomorrow will be Shota Vs Imanari and Tobita Vs Tominaga.

Besides the Ganbare☆Climax opening round, the rest of the show was all about the Independent World Jr. Heavyweight Title. The day kicked off with Keisuke Ishii successfully defending the belt against Ayumu Honda. Later in the show HARUKAZE won a Battle Royal to get the next title shot tomorrow. The match included a last minute entry from Texas wrestler Ryan Davidson. He looked to be a threat early so the rest of the field all joined forces to eliminate him. Ishii congratulated HARUKAZE for winning the match and told her it was great to see a woman getting a title match. He then called for his next challenger to come into the ring. HARUKAZE told Ishii that she is the next challenger. Ishii was a little annoyed by the idea but he agreed to the match. He won’t lose to a chick show! HARUKAZE got fired up and told Ishii she will beat him to become the new champion tomorrow!
