1. Keisuke Ishii defeated Munetatsu Nakamura with the Neck And Arm Lock (8:29).
2. GanJo Vs JTO!: Misa Kagura & HisokA defeated Yoshiko Hasegawa & Riara when Kagura pinned Riara with a Lariat (13:20).
3. Special 6-Man Tag Match: Shota, Soma Takao & Shinichiro Tominaga defeated Yumehito Imanari, Mizuki Watase & Tyson Maeguchi when Tominaga pinned Watase with the JK (14:43).
4. Special Single Match: Koji Doi defeated Ken Ohka with the Lariat (11:00).
5. Spirit Of Ganbare World Tag Team Titles: Shuichiro Katsumura & Takuya Wada (c) defeated Hartley Jackson & HARUKAZE when Katsumura submitted HARUKAZE with the Triple Three 3 Lock (16:05).
*V1 for Ground Absolute.
6. Spirit Of Ganbare World Openweight Title: Isami Kodaka (c) defeated YuuRI with the 1244 (18:32).
*V1 for Isami Kodaka.

YuuRI’s ambitious attempt to become a Double Crown champion failed when she was unable to beat Isami Kodaka for the Spirit Of Ganbare Title. She put up a great effort though by kicking out of the Diving Double Knee Drop and also getting back up to fight when the referee tried to count her out. Kodaka had to pull out his rarely used 1244 submission hold to make her give up. Before the show began, YuuRI described Kodaka like a superhero and said she would become Ganbare☆Pro’s superhero if she beat him. Kodaka brought it up again after the match and encouraged YuuRI to become Ice Ribbon’s superhero because she will stay as a supporting character in GanPro for as long as he is GanPro’s champion.

Kodaka’s comments caused most of the GanPro roster to approach the ring and climb onto the apron. He told all of them that supporting characters are not allowed in the ring while the superhero is giving his show closing speech. He also noticed Ken Ohka was not among the wrestlers confronting him. Everyone stepped down to the floor with Shinichiro Tominaga being the last one to do so after he took a moment to stare at Kodaka.

Earlier in the day Ground Absolute were presented with the Spirit Of Ganbare Tag Team Title belts. The championships were not completed in time so trophies were used to represent the prize until today. Shuichiro Katsumura & Takuya Wada went on to defend their new belts by beating the unique team of Hartley Jackson & HARUKAZE, also known together as Lethal Weapon. HARUKAZE submitted to Katsumura but was praised by the champions for showing guts. Ground Absolute now want to fight any opponents, wrestler or fighter, from any company that will help raise the value of the tag titles. HARUKAZE was upset to lose but asked Jackson if they can continue teaming together. He said of course they will because HARUKAZE is the only wrestler he wants to team with in GanPro.

Ohka’s absence from the main event angle can be explained from his utter defeat to Koji Doi earlier in the show. Doi used an Eye Poke and Low Blow behind the ref’s back to set up his inevitable path to victory. With this result Doi said it should be the end of this story. But he wants to continue making Ohka’s life a misery until Ohka cannot sleep anymore.

Tominaga pinning Mizuki Watase in the 6-Man Tag is a big statement towards him possibly becoming the next challenger for the SOG Title.

Miyu Yamashita is trying to win the tournament for the first time after a decade of trying, Yuki Arai is benefitting from adding Saki Akai’s Rookie Award finisher to her moveset, Rika Tatsumi is in the middle of one hell of a run and Yuki Kamifuku is showing everyone just how successful she can be when she puts her mind to it.

Mizuki & Mahiro Kiryu are the two women teaming together to fight NEO Biishiki-gun.

Match #4 is made up of the four women who were knocked out in the Quarter Finals.

The 6-Woman Tag Match in Match #2 is entirely made up of the 2023 class.

7. Saki Akai Debut 10th Anniversary Match Vol. 2 ~ Special 6-Woman Tag Match: Saki Akai, Maya Yukihi & Asuka Vs Takumi Iroha, Rina Yamashita & Shoko Nakajima

Akai’s next 10th Anniversary match will feature her teaming with Maya Yukihi & Asuka. They were two of her recent big opponents here in DDT. Their opponents all debuted in 2013, the same year as Akai. Takumi Iroha & Rina Yamashita were already announced and this past weekend Shoko Nakajima was revealed to be the third woman on the team.

Hirata found a way to beat HARASHIMA. He’s also beaten Sakaguchi once before but as Extreme Champion he will come up with any stipulation that will tip the scales in his favour. Otherwise Sakaguchi is going to kill him and take his title!

Makoto Oishi has convinced Yuji Hino to go after the KO-D Tag Team Titles with him. Maybe Hino would be better off teaming with Yukio Naya for the match but Oishi being such a caring father for his children convinced Hino to stick with him.

DDT “OSAKA BAY BLUES SPECIAL 2023”, 20/08/2023

4. Special Single Match: Daisuke Sasaki Vs Yuki Ueno
5. Current Blast Death Match: Atsushi Onita, Yoshitatsu & Toy Kojima Vs Yukio Sakaguchi, Hideki Okatani & Soma Takao

Sasaki has a few singles matches against different members of The 37KAMIINA this month. Yuki Ueno keeps being told by Takeshita to follow his lead and Sasaki has become a big supporter of that idea.

DDT “MEMORIES OF SUMMER VACATION 2023”, 27/08/2023
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. Saki Akai Debut 10th Anniversary Match Vol. 3 ~ Special Single Match: Danshoku Dieno Vs Saki Akai
2. Special Single Match: Daisuke Sasaki Vs MAO
3. HARASHIMA Debut 22nd Anniversary Match: HARASHIMA Vs X

Sasaki also has to face MAO. He might start regretting taking Takeshita’s side in the matter just because of how much extra ring work it’s giving him.

Akai asked Danshoku Dieno for a singles match to call back memories of the Extreme Title bout from 2016. Their match back then featured a stipulation that nobody was allowed to cry or else they would lose. It was a match that Akai learned a lot and still thinks about after all this time. Dieno understands how much it means to her and will not be using his “Dandy” persona for that reason.

DDT “ROJO PRO WRESTLING IN IZUKOGEN GRANILLUMI”, 02/09/2023
Shizuoka Izu Granpal Park

1. Falls Count Anywhere 4 Way 6-Man Tag Match: Chris Brookes, HARASHIMA & Saki Akai Vs Yuki Ueno, MAO & Toy Kojima (w/ Shunma Katsumata) Vs Sanshiro Takagi, Shinya Aoki & Takeshi Masada Vs Yuki “Sexy” Iino, Danshoku “Dandy” Dieno & X

A lot of people are gathering together to wrestle among the bright lights of Izu Granpal Park. Not only is Shinya Aoki showing up but Pheromones will be joined by a mystery wrestler.

DDT “DDT BIG BANG 2023”, 09/09/2023
Tokyo Ota Ward Gymnasium

1. Pheromones Vs Subjugation Final Match! Special Single Match ~ Dissolution Contra Vice President: Yuki “Sexy” Iino (w/ Danshoku “Dandy” Dieno) Vs Akito
2. Special 6-Man Tag Match: Yukio Sakaguchi, Saki Akai & Hideki Okatani Vs Yuko Miyamoto, Isami Kodaka & Ram Kaichow
3. Special Tag Match: KONOSUKE TAKESHITA & Daisuke Sasaki Vs Yuki Ueno & MAO
4. Current Blast Death Match: Atsushi Onita, Yoshi Tatsu & Toy Kojima Vs Sanshiro Takagi, Jun Akiyama & Yusuke Okada
5. KO-D Openweight Title: Chris Brookes (c) Vs Shigehiro Irie

Sick of his demands being ignored, Atsushi Onita took it upon himself last week to crash a training session at the DDT dojo and confront Jun Akiyama. Apparently Onita got in touch with Kojima and demanded to find out when Akiyama was in the building. Kojima told him but didn’t actually expect he would show up. Onita told Akiyama the names of many famous wrestlers who fought him in Explosion Death Matches then asked why is he the only person who refuses to take part? Onita also reminded Sanshiro Takagi he was promised this match would happen. Akiyama accepted the challenge and both sides decided their teams. Onita will team with Yoshi Tatsu & Toy Kojima while Akiyama & Takagi will add Yusuke Okada to their team.

Is the team of Ueno & MAO enough to beat Takeshita & Sasaki? We’re heading into dangerous territory here as tensions raise higher and higher.

If Eruption are still the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Champions coming out of their All Japan appearance at the end of this month then their match against Yuko Miyamoto, Isami Kodaka & Ram Kaichow will be a title match.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “TJPW CITY CIRCUIT ’23 ~NAGOYA PERFORMANCE~”, 18/09/2023

Nagoya International Conference Center Event Hall

1. Current Blast Death Match: Atsushi Onita Vs X

Minoru Suzuki will be on the show. This is happening the same day as the Bullet Train match with Takagi by the way. How else were they making it to Nagoya?

“MASAHIRO TAKANASHI 20TH ANNIVERSARY SHOW”, 19/09/2023
Shinjuku FACE

1. Special Exhibition: Masahiro Takanashi Vs KUDO
2. Yukio Sakaguchi, Isami Kodaka & Ken Ohka Vs MAO, Daiki Shimomura & Munetatsu Nakamura
3. Special Single Match: Mei Suruga Vs Minoru Suzuki
4. Chris Brookes Vs Masahiro Takanashi

No way was KUDO going to miss Masahiro Takanashi’s big show. He isn’t in ring shape to do a full wrestling match so Takanashi decided KUDO will face him in a 5 minute exhibition instead.

Saki Akai will also be on the show.

So many shows happened over the last three days so I’m happy to get a little bit of a break before things ramp up again. The last two matches in the Tokyo Princess Cup 1st Round sees Arisu Endo against Mahiro Kiryu and a rematch from last year’s tournament between Hikari Noa and Yuki Arai.

11. DDT Universal Title: Tetsuya Endo (c) Vs Matt Cardona (w/ Steph De Lander)
12. KO-D Openweight Title – Good Com Asset Presents: Yuji Hino (c) Vs Chris Brookes

Chaos broke out at a rally event held by Akito, Soma Takao & Yoshitomo Shimohigashi to promote the show. Pheromones found out the location was at a store where the DDT GM Hisaya Imabayashi works part-time. Imabayashi is currently subcontracted to DDT instead of being a full time employee, so he got a part-time job here to make up for his drop in salary. When Pheromones crashed the event and started causing trouble with Akito’s team they ended up dragging a bystander into the situation. That person turned out to be Buchigire Ujihara, a comedian and Youtuber who is friends with Shimohigashi. Imabayashi found out who he was and started complaining it’s unfair that he has to work these low paying part-time jobs while Ujihara gets rich by acting a fool on Youtube. Since Imabayashi is not fully employed by DDT, he no longer sees the point in opposing Pheromones. Instead he is going to be on their side at Sumo Hall under the name Hisaya Kachikire. In response to this Ujihara agreed to be in the corner of Akito’s team for the match.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “TOKYO PRINCESS CUP”, 29/07/2023

The final 8 is almost complete. Yuki Kamifuku and Miu Watanabe are now in each other’s way on the path to the semi finals.

GANBARE☆PRO “UNDER THE SILVER LAKE 2023”, 06/08/2023
Tokyo Takashimadaira Kumin Center

1. Special Single Match: Ken Ohka Vs Koji Doi
2. Spirit Of Ganbare World Tag Team Titles: Shuichiro Katsumura & Takuya Wada (c) Vs Hartley Jackson & HARUKAZE
3. Spirit Of Ganbare World Openweight Title: Isami Kodaka (c) Vs YuuRI

It’s been a weekend to remember for YuuRI. She settled a score with Misa Kagura going back to their JTO beginnings, won the main championship of Ice Ribbon the next day and is now challenging Isami Kodaka in a bid to rescue the Spirit Of Ganbare Title! This isn’t the kind of match Kodaka was expecting to get involved in after taking Ganbare☆Pro’s singles belt but he is still intrigued by the challenge.

GanPro’s first attempt and defending themselves against DoiKuma did not go the way they wanted it to. Ken Ohka was beaten but still wants to fight Kuma Arashi to get his revenge. Arashi is not interested in facing Ohka one on one and has plans elsewhere to worry about. Koji Doi however is interested in fighting Ohka by himself while Arashi is busy.

GANBARE☆JOSHI “GANJO BATTLE GAREGGA ’23”, 11/08/2023
Tokyo Itabashi Green Hall

1. ICEx∞ Title: YuuRI (c) Vs Ami Manase

The ICEx∞ Title is the name of the championship YuuRI won in Ice Ribbon. Her title win is significant because she is only two years and eight months into her wrestling career. The only person to have won that title with less experience at the time was Suzu Suzuki at one year and eight months. YuuRI decided her first title defence will be at the next Ganbare☆Joshi show. She picked Ami Manase to be her opponent because they haven’t fought each other in GanJo yet.

GANBARE☆PRO “FRENCH CONNECTION 2023” Results

July 17, 2023

GANBARE☆PRO “FRENCH CONNECTION 2023”, 17/07/2023
Tokyo Takashimadaira Kumin Center
81 Fans

1. Tyson Maeguchi defeated Yuki Kanzaki with the Super Tyson Splash (9:27).
2. Hartley Jackson & HARUKAZE defeated Yumehito Imanari & Yoshiko Hasegawa when HARUKAZE pinned Hasegawa with the Spear (13:53).
3. Shingo defeated Shinichiro Tominaga with the Wakikatame (9:57).
4. YuuRI defeated Riara with the Swanton Bomb (7:11).
5. Koji Doi & Kuma Arashi defeated Ken Ohka & Shota when Doi pinned Shota with a Lariat (16:30).
6. Shuichiro Katsumura, Soma Takao & HIROYA defeated Keisuke Ishii, Mizuki Watase & Munetatsu Nakamura when Katsumura submitted Nakamura with the Triple Three 3 Lock (12:46).

What a day it’s been for YuuRI. First of all, she wrestled on an Ice Ribbon show in Yokohama where she defeated Totoro Satsuki to become the new ICEx∞ Champion! She then got to live up to the promise she made to the fans yesterday by bringing the belt with her to Ganbare☆Pro. One new title is not enough for her though. Her next goal is to become a Double Crown Champion and she wants to bring GanPro’s main championship home in the process. That’s right, she is challenging Isami Kodaka for the Spirit Of Ganbare Title! Kodaka accepted the match for 6th August. He wants to know who is stronger, the young and vigorous new champion or the 41 year old who suffered heatstroke while wrestling in BASARA earlier today?

At the end of the show Shuichiro Katsumura said he was going to make a similar challenge for 6th August in the hopes of winning another championship to go along with the Spirit Of Ganbare Tag Team Titles he holds with Takuya Wada. However when he heard about YuuRI challenging Kodaka he decided to give her his full support instead and rallied the rest of the GanPro roster to join him.

The first wave of GanPro’s defence against the invading DoiKuma ended in a painful failure. Kuma Arashi & Koji Doi dominated against Ken Ohka & Shota despite the home team’s best efforts. Ohka still wanted to fight and challenged Arashi to a singles match on 6th August. Arashi refused (he later admitted it’s because he already has a match scheduled with Ryouji Sai that day) and decided to beat Ohka up some more. Doi then decided he will accept Ohka’s challenge instead.

The GanPro debut of Shingo (Suzuki) saw the DEEP MMA champion submit Shinichiro Tominaga. Shingo showed a lot more than just MMA fighting. He did an Inverted Diving Senton from the top rope as well as a 2nd Rope Moonsault. He even did a Firebird Splash except Tominaga rolled out of the way. Despite that setback, Shingo trapped him in a Wakikatame to win. Afterwards Shingo said the GanPro ring is worth fighting for and he would like to continue wrestling here.

Hartley Jackson & HARUKAZE are both feeling confident in their chances of winning the SOG Tag Titles. HARUKAZE believes their teamwork and combined power makes them the better team than Ground Absolute. Jackson said nothing will make him happier than to win the titles with HARUKAZE.

The next Ganbare☆Joshi show is also taking place on 11th August. YuuRI wants to defend the ICEx∞ Title on the show and is considering Yuna Manase’s masked sister Ami Manase as her challenger.

BASARA “BASARA 224 ~TAKAGARI 18~” Results

July 17, 2023

BASARA “BASARA 224 ~TAKAGARI 18~”, 17/07/2023
Tokyo Takashimadaira Kumin Center
??? Fans – Withheld

1. Daiki Shimomura & Minoru Fujita defeated Lil’ Kraken & Leo Isaka when Shimomura pinned Kraken with the Shimomura Hurricanrana (12:02).
2. Fuminori Abe defeated Takato Nakano with a Backslide Pin (13:03).
3. Tsutomu Oosugi & Banana Senga defeated FUMA & Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi when Senga submitted Hiroshi with an Ankle Hold (2:35).
3a. Rematch: Tsutomu Oosugi & Banana Senga defeated FUMA & Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi by Countout (8:39).
4. Ryota Nakatsu & SAGAT defeated Takumi Tsukamoto & Yasu Urano when SAGAT pinned Tsukamoto with the Goregrind (18:11).
5. Isami Kodaka defeated Daichi Kazato with a Body Slam (16:48).

The main event sounds like it was very weird and not just for the finish being a Body Slam. Daichi Kazato was at his most oddball and Isami Kodaka tried to figure out how to deal with that. When he did he Body Slammed him three times, taking so much wind out of Kazato that he couldn’t kick out of the pin.

FUMA & Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi weren’t happy that they lost to Speed Of Sounds so quickly in a comedy match. They asked for an immediate rematch, one that would be treated more seriously and SOS accepted. FUMA ended up pulling out two hunting muskets and scared the other wrestlers out of the ring, Hiroshi included. Banana Senga found two coathangers and gave them to Tsutomu Oosugi to fight FUMA with. FUMA instead hunted down both SOS wrestlers around the room, shooting them as well as Hiroshi and also Fuminori Abe. Hiroshi recovered and revived SOS by singing a hymn. While all of this was going on, Hiroshi was still the legal man this whole time so he got counted out right before he finally returned to the ring.

Shinichiro Kawamatsu is feeling really motivated for Monday’s match after he got a chance to have a video call with Hulk Hogan this week. 6. Ken Ohka & Shota Vs Kuma Arashi & Koji Doi

There’s changes to the top end of the card after the events of yesterday. Kuma Arashi showed his true intentions when he betrayed Ken Ohka. The reason he is here in Ganbare☆Pro is not to team with Ohka but to invade the company with his old WRESTLE-1 teammate Koji Doi! The duo known as DoiKuma want to take over GanPro and turn it into a successful company in their own way. Ohka is now teaming with Shota to protect their home promotion from this invasion.

HIROYA is from Gamshara Pro Wrestling in Kyushu, or GamPro for short.

1. Falls Count Anywhere 4 Way Match: HARASHIMA Vs MAO Vs Hideki Okatani Vs Kazuma Sumi

At some point recently Tokyo Joshi Pro went out to an athletic amusement park and recorded an entire PPV of outdoor wrestling challenges. 16 wrestlers were split into two teams for a series of matches and challenges with the winning team receiving a luxorious prize.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “TJPW CITY CIRCUIT ’23 ~SHOKO NAKAJIMA LOCAL TRIUMPH~”, 05/08/2023
Niigata Dúo CEREZO

1. Special Single Match: Aja Kong Vs Super Sasadango Machine

Niigata is not just a homecoming show for Shoko Nakajima. One of the locals there is also Super Sasadango Machine. Now the last time Sasadango was in TJPW he was supposed to have a match with Hyper Misao. It all turned out to be a gigantic stunt for Misao to announce her marriage. So, er… is there something Aja Kong wants to tell everybody?

Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. Sakisama & Mei Saint-Michel Vs X & X
2. Tokyo Princess Cup – Semi Final: X Vs X
3. Tokyo Princess Cup – Semi Final: X Vs X

We haven’t seen the last of NEO Biishiki-gun yet. I mean why would we? They haven’t said anything about going away for good or anything like that. Sakisama & Mei Saint-Michel decided they want to have a tag match at the penultimate show of the Tokyo Princess Cup.

GANBARE☆PRO “WRESTLE SEKIGAHARA II”, 09/07/2023
Tokyo Ota Ward Gymnasium

1. Munetatsu Nakamura Vs Masahiro Takanashi
2. YuuRI & Tomoka Inaba Vs Takumi Iroha & Mio Momono
3. Riara Vs Sayaka Unagi
4. Yoshiko Hasegawa Vs Miyuki Takase
5. Keisuke Ishii, Shigehiro Irie & Soma Takao Vs Akito, Shota & Shinichiro Tominaga
6. Spirit Of Ganbare World Tag Team Titles Next Challengers Decision Survival 4 Way Tag Match: Ken Ohka & Kuma Arashi Vs Hartley Jackson & HARUKAZE Vs Minoru Fujita & Daiki Shimomura Vs Tsuyoshi Okada & Yuki Kanzaki
7. Special Single Match: Yumehito Imanari Vs El Lindaman
8. Spirit Of Ganbare World Tag Team Titles: Hikaru Sato & Tyson Maeguchi (c) Vs Shuichiro Katsumura & Takuya Wada
9. Spirit Of Ganbare World Openweight Title: Mizuki Watase (c) Vs Isami Kodaka

The contracts for the two championship matches have been signed. Isami Kodaka said he wants to win the Spirit Of Ganbare Title so he can keep wrestling in Ganbare☆Pro. He respects Mizuki Watase for carrying GanPro after Ken Ohka’s position on top faded away. Watase said he can win any battle because of the support from the fans. If this match really is about GanPro Vs BASARA then Watase urges the BASARA fans to hurry up and buy tickets to the show.

Last year at the first “WRESTLE SEKIGAHARA” there was a match between Shuichiro Katsumura and Minoru Suzuki. GanPro interviewed Takuya Wada as part of the promotion for the match and he went along to watch it. One year later and Wada cannot believe he is now wrestling on the show! Tyson Maeguchi is in a similar mindset because he only won his first match at last year’s show and now he is going into this year’s event as a champion. Meanwhile Hikaru Sato is wondering will the actual Spirit Of Ganbare Tag Team Title belts ever arrive? He is fine with carrying around the tournament trophies instead because he cannot imagine what Hentai Punch Drunkers would look like wearing championship belts.

There is history that already exists between Yumehito Imanari and El Lindaman. They both entered the 2020 Tenkaichi Jr. Tournament in ZERO1 and faced each other in a couple of tag matches in the same company a year later. Lindaman also invited Imanari to train with him in 2022 while Imanari was the SOG Champion preparing for the title defence against Shigehiro Irie. The two know each other’s feelings and Imanari knew he was destined to wrestle Imanari in a singles match some day. He does not know if there is anybody in wrestling as sincere as Lindaman so he promises to wrestle at 120% for him. Lindaman said the Imanari Vs Irie match changed his perception of pro wrestling and he’s been trying to rediscover it ever since. He does not know if this match with Imanari will give him the answer he’s looking for but it will bring him one step closer.

BASARA “BASARA 224 ~TAKAGARI 18~”, 17/07/2023
Tokyo Takashimadaira Kumin Center

1. Daiki Shimomura & Minoru Fujita Vs Lil’ Kraken & Leo Isaka

3. FUMA & Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi Vs Tsutomu Oosugi & Banana Senga
4. Isami Kodaka Vs Daichi Kazato
5. Takumi Tsukamoto & Yasu Urano Vs Ryota Nakatsu & SAGAT

There is one more BASARA show taking place before they return to Korakuen Hall. A few of the matches here builds up to what’s going to happen later in the month.

DDT is holding a free outdoor show at the 14th annual Soyokaze Tsunagu Festival. There will be three matches held with Tetsuya Endo, Danshoku Dieno, HARASHIMA, Chris Brookes and Shinichiro Kawamatsu as the wrestlers advertised so far.

GANBARE☆PRO “MACHIDA KANSAI PRO WRESTLING FESTIVAL”, 22/07/2023
Tokyo Machida GION Stadium

1. Shuichiro Katsumura Vs Munetatsu Nakamura

BASARA “BASARA 225 ~SENGUNBANBA~”, 23/07/2023
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. FUMA & Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi Vs Lil’ Kraken & Akira Jo
2. 3 Way Match: Daichi Kazato Vs Gouma Ryu Vs Yasu Urano
3. IRON FIST Tag Team Titles Next Challengers 3 Way Match: Ryuichi Sekine & Ryota Nakatsu Vs Fuminori Abe & Takuya Nomura Vs Tsutomu Oosugi & Banana Senga
4. Isami Kodaka Vs SHO
5. IRON FIST Tag Team Titles Unification Match: Takato Nakano & Masato Kamino (c) Vs Daiki Shimomura & Minoru Fujita (i/c)
6. Union MAX Title & CCW Canadian Heavyweight Title: Takumi Tsukamoto (M/c) Vs SAGAT (C/c)

Ryuichi Sekine accepted Ryota Nakatsu’s request to team up again. What sounded like a one time idea may end up lasting longer though because they are entering a No. 1 Contenders match for the IRON FIST Tag Team Titles. They have to take on two former champion teams Astronauts and Speed Of Sounds at the same time.

I haven’t paid attention to what Akira Jo has been doing since his days in DNA. That was seven years ago? Time sure does fly by.

DDT “SAKI AKAI 10TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR IN KORAKUEN!!”, 13/08/2023
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. Saki Akai Debut 10th Anniversary Match Vol. 2 ~ Special 6-Woman Tag Match: Saki Akai, Maya Yukihi & Asuka Vs Takumi Iroha, Rina Yamashita & X

There are several big matches planned for Saki Akai to celebrate her 10 years in wrestling. This one in August has Akai teaming with two of her most recent important opponents Maya Yukihi and Asuka. She spent 2022 in rivalries with both women in DDT. The other team consists of Takumi Iroha and Rina Yamashita along with a third partner yet to be revealed. Iroha and Yamashita’s connection to Akai is they all debuted in the same year. That might provide a clue as to who the third wrestler is going to be.

DDT “OSAKA BAYS BLUES SPECIAL 2023”, 20/08/2023
Osaka Edion Arena #2

1. Current Blast Death Match: Atsushi Onita Vs X

Last week Yukio Sakaguchi challenged Atsushi Onita to give him a shot at the All Asia Tag Team Titles. Onita would only agree if it took place in the exploding death match being planned for Osaka on 20th August. Makes sense because the other champion Yoshitatsu is advertised for the show. However the next day everyone found out that Onita broke his wrist during the Hardcore Tag Match after taking a kick from Sakaguchi. He is about to get surgery for the injury and intends not to miss next month’s Osaka show.

Shigehiro Irie, Kotaro Suzuki and Tsutenkakuka will also be on the show.
