1. Ryuichi Sekine & Chicharito Shoki defeated Takumi Tsukamoto & Judomaster when Sekine submitted Tsukamoto with the Let’s Combine (9:33).
2. 3 Way Match: Ryota Nakatsu defeated FUMA and SAGAT when Nakatsu pinned SAGAT with a Back Roll Clutch (11:11).
3. Lil’ Kraken & Gaia Hox defeated Takato Nakano & Masato Kamino when Kraken pinned Nakano with a School Boy (11:05).
4. Fuminori Abe defeated Daichi Kazato with a Cradle Cutback (12:56).
5. Isami Kodaka & Minoru Fujita defeated KUBITO & Yasu Urano when Kodaka pinned KUBITO with the Long Flight Vertical Drop Brainbuster (22:05).

It was confirmed after the main event that Isami Kodaka and Daichi Kazato will have a No. 1 Contender’s match for the Union MAX Title on 11th May. Kazato had a setback today after he lost to Fuminori Abe after a careless mistake ended with him getting cradled for the three count. But he assured everyone he stepped up by two or three levels despite the result. Kodaka told him it doesn’t matter how high he levels up if he doesn’t win in the end. Kazato assured everyone he has no intentions of losing the match against Kodaka.

Earlier, Abe told Kazato after their match that if he can beat Kodaka then he will have all the momentum to win the MAX Title from Minoru Fujita. When that happens Abe will challenge him for a title shot because he now considers himself the next No. 1 Contender after Kazato or Kodaka!

Things are getting uneasy between Takumi Tsukamoto & Judomaster. They lost their tag match in the opener and got into an argument afterwards that needed them to be separated. In unrelated news this weekend is the 13th anniversary of Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi’s debut.

Today’s show had free tickets for everyone under 18 year’s old because it is Children’s Day in Japan.

2. Tsutomu Oosugi & Banana Senga defeated SAGAT & Gouma Ryu when Senga pinned Ryu after the Goregrind from SAGAT (10:40).
3. FUMA, KUBITO & Daichi Kazato defeated Isami Kodaka, Takato Nakano & Gaia Hox when Kazato pinned Nakano with a Rocket Punch (12:28).
4. Ryota Nakatsu & Fuminori Abe defeated Takumi Tsukamoto & Judomaster when Nakatsu pinned Judomaster with the V Slider (12:09).

Just like what happened at the last BASARA show, pulling off Lil’ Kraken’s mask comes with a big risk. Minoru Fujita unmasked him during the main event and Kraken blinded him with Poison Mist out of self defence. Kraken continued to wrestle unmasked for the rest of the match but was caught in a modified Gokuraku-gatame and had to give up. Fujita was still blinded after the match and had to give his victory speech while being unable to see anything. Daichi Kazato then entered the ring and excitedly challenged Fujita for the Union MAX Title. However Isami Kodaka demanded Kazato face him in a singles match first. Kodaka has his own plans in mind but he will only reveal what it is after he beats Kazato.

The No. 1 Contenders for the IRON FIST Tag Team Titles hit a speed bump on the road to their title shot. One-half of the champions Ryota Nakatsu was able to beat Takumi Tsukamoto & Judomaster while teaming with Fuminori Abe insteado of Kazusada Higuchi. Judomaster seems to remember what the rules of pro wrestling are but now the problem with him is his mask. Nakatsu kept pulling at his mask to block his sight and it eventually paid off with the win.

In Match #2 SAGAT hit Banana Senga with the Goregrind but they landed on top of Gouma Ryu. Since Ryu’s shoulders were pinned to the mat, the referee counted Senga pinning him instead of SAGAT pinning Senga.

The Yuki Ishikawa that fought in the opener is the Big Japan wrestler, not the shoot style fighter. Today was his first match with BASARA.

Last week Sanshiro Takagi hatched a plan to get the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title off of Sayaka Unagi. He no longer trusts Unagi to protect the belt after she lost it to an unknown person in America last month and risked it disappearing from DDT forever. Takagi’s plan was to attack Unagi with a pack of Grilled Unagi in her dressing room before a press conference. Takagi choked Unagi with the unagi and she tapped out. The referee was about to hand Takagi the belt when he instead told him to give it to the Grilled Unagi! Sayaka Unagi got revenge during the press conference when she opened the pack of unagi, filled it in a bowl with rice and began to eat it. After taking a few bites, the referee checked on the unagi for any movement and ruled it had been knocked out which means Sayaka Unagi is the champion again! She then promised to defeat Takagi on behalf of all kinds of Unagi.

Keigo Nakamura asked MAO to put the DDT Universal Title on the line in their match. MAO likes the idea because the story of a wrestler winning the title in his comeback match from injury hasn’t happened before with the Universal Championship. He wants to do unprecedented things in his title reign and that matches what he is looking for. Nakamura developed a desire to win that particular championship while he was rehabbing from his injury.

After Harimao defeated Sento Minzoku in the main event, Takumi Tsukamoto & Judomaster approached the IRON FIST Tag Team Champions in the ring. Judomaster challenged Kazusada Higuchi to a Sumo contest twice but quickly lost both games. Tsukamoto then explained to Judomaster the concept of challenging for championships in pro wrestling. Ryota Nakatsu pointed out to everyone that Judomaster still doesn’t understand the rules of wrestling but he is still a really strong fighter so he agreed to give them a title shot in the future.

As mentioned above, Judomaster still hasn’t gotten the hang of the rules for pro wrestling. He was immediately pinned by SAGAT at the start of their tag match because he didn’t know he was supposed to kick out. They had to restart the match and this time Judomaster was able to pin SAGAT back with his own rolling cradle called the Master Clutch.

Yasu Urano quickly unmasked Lil’ Kraken and rolled him up to win his match in very little time. Afterward he claimed that he had now taken the No. 1 Contendership for the Union MAX Title away from Kraken! He tried to leave but Kraken refused to let the result stand and demanded a rematch. The fans agreed and Urano gave in to it. In the second match there was a ref bump and Urano tried to unmask Kraken again. This time Kraken defended himself by spitting mist into Urano’s face! Urano was still able to fight back but he was put away with the Jumping Knee Butt. Kraken will remain the No. 1 Contender and gets his title shot on 30th April.

Takato Nakano had his own cheering section led by Kaori Yoneyama, Cherry, Matsuzawa-san and other people related to the YMZ wrestling promotion during the main event. He was able to kick out of the Samson Clutch but Minoru Fujita eventually pinned him with the Modified Tombstone. After the match Masato Kamino challenged Fujita to a title match. Fujita asked if Kamino can drum up the same level of support as Takano did? Are Yoneyama, Cherry or Matsuzawa-san going to come back and cheer him on too? Fujita has never gotten to lead BASARA until now so he wants to fill up Shin-Kiba 1st RING with people no matter if they support him or his challengers. He agreed to the match for next month.

There was a sudden announcement that Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi missed the show due to a bout of love sickness. His replacement was a masked fighter going by the name Judomaster. He was quickly pinned by Ryota Nakatsu and admitted to Takumi Tsukamoto afterward he does not understand the rules of pro wrestling. The two teams agreed to restart the match and this time Judomaster got the hang of things. He lost again though, this time to Isami Kodaka.

The opening match also had to restart a couple of times because Gouma Ryu kept getting pinned quickly. He kept pleading on the microphone to do rematches and got the fans to side with him.

Here is the match order for Sunday’s big show. There is a public press conference tomorrow featuring the wrestlers involved in the most important matches so there may be a last minute angle or moment done to heat them up a little one last time.

The KO-D Tag Team Titles match being pushed all the way down to the opening bout is odd. Maybe it’s for scheduling reasons regarding some of the wrestlers involved? Everyone in that match are the kind of wrestlers who keep themselves busy on the indies.

3. 3 Way Match: Tsutomu Oosugi defeated Takato Nakano and Lil’ Kraken when Oosugi pinned Nakano and Kraken with a Gedo Clutch and Inside Cradle (9:38)
4. Isami Kodaka, Minoru Fujita & Masato Kamino defeated FUMA, KUBITO & Fuminori Abe when Kodaka pinned FUMA with a Japanese Leg Roll Clutch Hold (14:24).
5. IRON FIST Tag Team Titles – IRON FIST TAG TOURNAMENT – Final: Ryota Nakatsu & Kazusada Higuchi defeated Takumi Tsukamoto & SAGAT when Higuchi pinned SAGAT with the Brain Claw Slam (18:09).

The IRON FIST TAG TOURNAMENT has been won by Ryota Nakatsu & Kazusada Higuchi! The team representing Harimao across both BASARA and DDT had the disadvantage of wrestling twice on today’s show. They first had to beat Yasu Urano & Antonio Honda in the semi final. Then in the main event Harimao took on the fresh team of Takumi Tsukamoto & SAGAT, who skipped past the semi-final stage because of a bye. Harimao fought through the challenge and have come out of it not just as the tournament winners but also as the new IRON FIST Tag Team Champions!

Their championship celebration was interrupted by Banana Senga marching down to the ring shouting “Objection!” over and over. He was about to turn the scene into a pro wrestling trial until his tag partner Tsutomu Oosugi showed up and challenged Harimao for the titles at Korakuen Hall on 3rd December. Nakatsu accepted but Higuchi told Speed Of Sounds there is a DDT show happening that same day as part of the D-Ou Grand Prix tour. However he already checked and he does not have a tournament match scheduled for that show so he can do the title match in BASARA. With that all sorted out Nakatsu & Higuchi went ahead and celebrated their victory with the other members of Harimao, Naomi Yoshimura and Yuki Ishida.

Even though Takato Nakano and Lil’ Kraken both lost the 3 Way Match by getting pinned at the same time, they were given good news to look forward to. Gouma Ryu approached them after the match telling them that BASARA wants the two of them to step up. So they are both getting special singles matches on 3rd December in Korakuen. Nakano is going to face Yuko Miyamoto and Kraken is getting a match against The Great Sasuke! Kraken is really happy with the news because he’s watched videos of Sasuke ever since he was a baby squid.

Match #2 begun with Senga acting like he was taking part in a Pro Wrestling Trial because Ryu was with him. Ryu tried to convince him it was a normal tag team match but Senga ignored him and tried to come up with topical jokes instead of wrestling. Ryu lost his temper and attacked everyone like a wild animal. This caused FUMA to come out armed with his hunting rifle and take aim at Ryu, thinking he had turned into a bear. FUMA shot Ryu, the lights went out and when they came back on the ring was empty. The match was ruled a No Contest.

It was revealed at the start of the show that today’s date is the 18th Anniversary of Gouma Ryu’s debut match.

The final rounds of the IRON FIST TAG TOURNAMENT take place tomorrow. Takumi Tsukamoto & SAGAT are already in the final because of Sento Minzoku being taken out of the tournament due to Daiki Shimomura’s suspension. Either Ryota Nakatsu & Kazusada Higuchi or Yasu Urano & Antonio Honda will meet them in the final. The tournament winners will be crowned the new IRON FIST Tag Team Champions.

1. Takato Nakano, Masato Kamino & Tsutomu Oosugi defeated Ryuichi Sekine, Minoru Fujita & KUBITO when Nakano pinned KUBITO with a Cradle (10:02).
2. Turnabout Pro Wrestling Trial: Yasu Urano defeated Gouma Ryu and Banana Senga when Urano pinned Ryu with a School Boy (0:10).
3. IRON FIST TAG TOURNAMENT – Round 2: Takumi Tsukamoto & SAGAT defeated Lil’ Kraken & Leo Isaka when SAGAT pinned Isaka with the Goregrind (12:50).
4. IRON FIST TAG TOURNAMENT – Round 2: Ryota Nakatsu & Kazusada Higuchi defeated Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi & Daichi Kazato when Higuchi pinned Kazato (14:58).
5. FUMA Vs Isami Kodaka ended in a Double Knockout (12:29).

The original main event featuring a Union MAX Title defence was cancelled because of Daiki Shimomura’s suspension. Instead FUMA took on Isami Kodaka in a non-title match that was put together on short notice. The match ended in a Double KO when both wrestlers hit their big attacks on each other and neither was able to get back up during the 10 Count. After the match FUMA said he was happy to fight Kodaka and since nobody won he wants to do a rematch at Korakuen Hall on 3rd December, this time with the MAX Title on the line. FUMA wants to become the ace of BASARA and he thinks he needs to beat Kodaka in BASARA’s biggest match to make that dream come true.

The IRON FIST TAG TOURNAMENT is now down to three teams. Takumi Tsukamoto & SAGAT have reached the final thanks to a bye. They will face the winners of Ryota Nakatsu & Kazusada Higuchi Vs Yasu Urano & Antonio Honda. Both matches take place on 7th November. It was confirmed that Shimomura & Minoru Fujita have vacated the IRON FIST Tag Team Titles and the belts will be awarded to the winners of the tournament.

Nakatsu & Higuchi were accompanied by the rest of Harimao for their match. Naomi Yoshimura & Yuki Ishida stood by their corner in support.

Gouma Ryu did not feel it was appropriate to have a pro wrestling trial on this show. Banana Senga objected because he did not want to be paid just to do nothing. Urano, who was supposed to be the defendant on trial told Ryu it was important to show the fans that BASARA was running their show as usual with everyone doing their best. They all agreed to do a 3 Way Match and Urano immediately pinned Ryu with a School Boy to win. Ryu promised to do a proper pro wrestling trial the next time.

At the start of the show Kodaka and the rest of the BASARA roster all apologized over the private incident that led to Shimomura’s year long suspension. Kodaka told reporters after the show that the event was saved by the fans and their support.

BASARA announced today that Daiki Shimomura has been suspended from their activities for one year due to inappropriate behavior in regards to his private life. Alongside this, Shimomura is also taking a year long hiatus from pro wrestling in general. The company will not disclose what happened to cause this in order to protect people who have been hurt by the situation. Shimomura was supposed to face FUMA in the main event of next week’s BASARA show but that will obviously be changed. The changed card will be announced as soon as it is decided on.

2. IRON FIST TAG TOURNAMENT – Final: X & X Vs X & X

Shimomura is also in the middle of the IRON FIST TAG TOURNAMENT with Minoru Fujita as the current IRON FIST Tag Team Champions. The two of them have already reached the semi-final stage and were waiting to face the winners of next week’s Takumi Tsukamoto & SAGAT Vs Lil’ Kraken & Leo Isaka match. BASARA has decided to pull Shimomura from the tournament and will instead give the winners of that match a bye straight into the final. I guess the titles will be vacated and then rewarded to the tournament winners too.
